Wiki:
http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Blatant_Fetish_Quest

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic, meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, and befriended Lotuses. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found your father chained up in the basement. You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive.

You're half-way through November. Your first two dryads hatched and your mommy-instincts kicked into high gear. You survived a mysterious attacker. You've been perfecting your body.

Class just ended and, after bidding farewell to your friends, you headed into the library to meet Pierre. You find him in there, already sitting at a table and waving excitedly to you. You head on over and sit down.

"So, ready to start?" he asks.

What do you do?
>>

Start learning sorcery.
>>
"Sure am, let's do this."

I figure we can get some information out of him after class when we hang around to chat.

We still need to find out who the other first circle Dextra is.
>>

sure lets go over things. and chance we could go over a shield/ elemental Resistance?
>>
"Let's get to it, then," you say.

"Good, good," he replies, then starts taking out books and notes.

Roll Mind to learn what he has to teach. You get a +2 for Focus, a +2 for Calm, and a +1 for Memory. I'll consider the first eight linked 1d100 rolls.

You get a lot of studying in over the next few hours. Pierre shows you a lot about Sorcery that you didn't know before, and, just as importantly, you take a lot of useful notes for later. As the session starts winding down, Pierre asks, "So, is there anything in particular you wanted to know how to do? I can try to show you if I know."

What do you say?

Nice, we made some pretty good progress in that lesson.

>>
>>24509538
Right, no teleportation then. The elevator still sounds ok ?
>>
>>24509519
Doesnt matter. She knows floaty spinny rocks can be strapped to stuff to make enery
>>
>>24509573
Could do, although we'd probably need to hook a spirit up to it to power it. We could at least ask for his opinion on keeping the sorcery elements to keep the platform airborne.
>>
>>24509546
>>24509529

Yeah, might as well learn how to use sorcery for more punching power.
>>
"What about some kind of heat shield?" you ask. "Something to keep me at a comfortable temperature - not let in or out too much heat."

"Sure," he says, nodding. "I can definitely show you that. You just pick how warm or cool it wants to keep you, then, the better you do with it, the more quickly it adjusts. Easy."

He takes out a few simple foci - a lighter, a little shield charm - and starts walking you through trying to cast it for yourself.

Roll Sorcery. You get a +1 from him helping you and a +2 from temporary foci. I'll consider the first four linked 1d100 rolls.

You manage to put something together. You don't notice its effects at first, but over the course of the next minute or two, the uncomfortable draft of the library fades slowly into a perfectly pleasant room temperature. "Wow, that really works," you say agreeably.

"I'm glad it did," Pierre says, nodding. "Do you have any more questions about anything?"

What do you say?
>>
>>24509762
Well, we could ask him about using Sorcery to increase kinetic force, but we can't do any more practice right now, sadly.

Otherwise, take the opportunity to chat for a bit, ask him how things are going since we helped him with his project, see if we can make some passing comment to the other Dextra in the year and convince him to let anything slip about who it is without being too obvious.
>>
>>24509762
Ask him about the apple trick >>24509546 .
>>
>>24509762
Pump him for general information about hunting for things? How they are found, what kind of resources he gets from Dextra for that kind of thing.

Nothing important, just silly little things like how they might find dragons or vampires.. or demon-ancestry people. See if there are more methods then what has been shown to us.
>>
"So, how about that apple trick?" you ask him. He gives you a blank look. He has no idea what you're talking about. "You know, on the first day of class? You flicked that apple apart?"

"Oh," he says. "Yes, what about that?"

"How did you do that?" you ask.

"I just cast a kinetic energy spell," he says, looking confused. "The flick was, uh, theatrics."

"Oh," you say. "Okay. So, how were you planning on tracking down a dragon, anyway?"

"Well, it shouldn't be too hard to find, I think," he says, shrugging. "I can use Sorcery to see infrared, and I've gone hunting before. The tricky part would be killing it without getting hurt."

What do you say now?
>>
>>24509903
YESS INFRAVISION ASK ABOUT INFRAVISION
>>
>>24509903
Ask him what hunts he's been on before. Also ask if he usually goes alone. Might be a good chance to bring the conversation around to the other Dextra member.
>>
>>24509903
Aren't we on the hunt for dragon blood? We ought to make sure we are on this hunt.
>>
>>24509977
We already asked in yesterday's thread and he agreed, as I recall.
>>
>>24509903
>>24509977
>>24509986

Ask him if he knows any spots that we can hunt wyvern/dragon monsters.
>>
>>24509912
we need to work in how we like it wen boys let us lead and something about guys dolling themselves up for us. You know makeup and such. To slowly make him receptive to our plan to sissify him.
>>
>>24510026
Let's try to be a little subtle here, please.
>>
>>24509912

Why? modern NVGs are superior to infrared vision because they can autodamp and pick out human outlines and shit.

Granted, we'd probably have a LITTLE trouble getting the gucci kit, but we're fucking wizards, we don't gotta explain shit!
>>
"How do you handle infrared vision?" you ask curiously.

"Ah, very simple," he says. "Just shift the wavelengths into the visible spectrum as they enter my eyes. Very, very simple."

"So, I actually might be interested in going on a dragon hunt," you say, leaning in a bit to enter his personal space and put him off balance. He looks at you nervously. "When can we do that? Where would we start?"

"Ah, well," he stammers. "There is still a lot of dust from that big bang a while back. A lot of it blew away but, ah, there might still be track around. Or stool. We might be able to spot something from somewhere high up too. I think we would mostly need to go into the school, then narrow the search as we find clues. We could maybe go this weekend, perhaps?"

What else do you say?
>>
>>24510060
He sees whatever we say in the best possible light. I am bad at that bur we still want to lead him that way. That was just a short rundown of things to mix into the conversation.
>>
>>24510081
Ask him about his previous experience with hunts, whether he always hunts alone or if he's gone with others.
>>

Guys ! I think this is something we can weaponize too. This is an opportunity for a gamma-ray flashlight.
>>
"So, how much experience do you have with these hunts?" you ask. "Have you gone on many?"

"Ah, no, not exactly," he says awkwardly. "I've gone hunting before with my family. Bird hunting. And I went on a group hunt at the beginning of the year. Some high-circle Hands took us all out to demonstrate. We killed a giant fire... Thing."

"So this would be your first semi-independent hunt," you say. It's not really a question.

"Well... Yes," he admits. "Is that a problem?"

What do you say?
>>
>>24510175
"No no, that's not a problem, I'm honoured to help. I'm surprised they let first circles go hunting alone though. Didn't they suggest you teaming up with the other first circle Dextra? Uh... who was that again?"

Something like this.
>>
>>24510175
no but second and third circle Lotus members can strangle a dragon to death safely it would be good to let me lead. I like when little boys follow.
>>
>>24510175
"So, why a dragon for your first target?"
>>
>>24510213
>I like when little boys follow.

Please stop.

Be patient, we will have our chance, but you can't keep on trying to hammer that line into this conversation.
>>
>>24510238
the first time was bad i admit mow is a perfect time for it. Is the rest of my post ok? It conveys what i want more subtly.
>>
>>24510277
I'd say rather than saying it now, we just take charge on the actual hunt as much as we can.

Actions, rather than words, will teach him to be submissive.
>>
>>24510277
That's not subtle at all.
>>
>>24510175
mmm... if he makes it known that he goes hunting for a dragon on the weekend then it would be the ideal time to disappear him.
But if he makes it known that you are coming with him then it ruins that plan. So, perhaps some social fu is needed her to convince him to say the right things. Or enchantment (seeds).

Are we giving him a chance to come around and realize that non-humans are people too though or just immediate mindrape?
>>
>>24510322
I think we're taking the long road with this one.

Let's do this hunt with him, and try and win him over to our way of thinking over time.

I'm starting to think that the only reason Pierre thinks the way he does is because he's a dumbass who's never learned any better.

Not saying we still can't sissify him someday, mind you.
>>
>>24510322
Can't we mess with biology and let him go to school ? If the first 32 people in class are our followers, we can relax.
>>
>>24510302
true but i don't see a problem wit the first part of my statement. He should know some of what we can do and that tells him that and makes us seem strong to him.
>>24510304
how is
"no but second and third circle Lotus members can strangle a dragon to death safely it would be good to let me lead."
not subtle?

>>24510322
we wont need to disappear him this hunt and yes that is my plan at least
"Are we giving him a chance to come around and realize that non-humans are people too though or just immediate mindrape?"

I actually want to make him a long term mole on the hand. Or barring that kill him or make him drop out.
Its just that the consensus is to make him a slave so I figured, why wait?

>>24510357
No because its well known that only lotus or archmages can do that. And because the older hands will notice he suddenly grows boobs and might look into his mind and find the mind seed that says "don't be suspicious of max powers"

>>24510391
>No because its well known that only lotus or archmages can do that. And because the older hands will notice he suddenly grows boobs and might look into his mind and find the mind seed that says "don't be suspicious of max powers"

This is my main concern. I'd love to sissify him, but I am worried it will get the DD after us.
>>
>>24510391
>why wait?
some of us wan him as our willing slave after we ask not force him to quit DD and thus drop out.
>>
>>24510449
Not only will it get DD after us. But it will be a terrible rep for Max with the other students (not because anyone gives a damn about pierre, but because of what max did to him). Remember Dane has a policy of "survivors have their memories of me removed and are made to drop out" to limit retaliation from allies and to keep his reputation intact.

>>24510456
At which point you kidnap and then sisify him in tower. And nobody ever finds out it was done by max powers.
>>
We should work in a reference to the other first year hand and ask her name.
>>
>>24510500
Indeed, hence why I said >>24510203
>>
>>24510175

Let him know that we'll think about it, but we don't like the sound of it as is.

Then, go home, take Liz to our bed, and make sure she can't move while we make gentle love to her until she can't even beg for more, then cuddle up to her for a while

We need to get the metaphorical slime off us.
>>
>>24510481
>kidnap
No he will come willingly he will disappear and if he ever comes out in public it will likely be as Patricia but he came willingly so not kidnaping.
>sisify
We wont force him but eventually he will accept it yes that is the plan.
>>
>>24510538
we need the other Dextras name first
>>
"No, it's fine," you say, waving your hand. "I'll just have to make sure I'm prepared to fight a dragon. It shouldn't be too tricky. So, who are the other Hands in the class, anyway? The ones who went on the hunt, that is."

"Oh," he says. "Well, Maria was supposed to before she disappeared. I only got to meet her once. Now it's just me and Dana in the first circle."

Aha! Dana Patrick. You never would have guessed that she was a Hand. From what you can tell - from what you've seen in class - her specialty is non-invasive Enchantment. Telepathy, mind shields, that kind of thing. Maybe it should have been obvious, in retrospect. You think she has a knack for banishing spirits or at least teleporting things as well.

She's a dark-haired, freckle-faced, scrawny, bespectacled girl. Maybe her appearance is what made you not suspect her. She probably joined for reasons related to faith, you think, or was recruited for her specialties.

What do you say?
>>
>>24510545
>No he will come willingly
Now you are just being silly. You are not going to, without mind magic, make him become the loyal slave of a half demon dickgirl who wants to transgender him.
>>
>>24510545
>Patricia
That's the feminine of Patrick. Pierre is the French version of Peter. He should be renamed Petra or something if we go that route.
>>
>>24510560
Ask him about the other two first circles, mention that we never even met Maria, just be friendly and conversational about it.

I'm kind of curious to hear his take on the DD's retaliation (or if he even knows about it).
>>
>>24510593
This, I'm kind of curious to hear about both his opinion on Dana, and what he thought of Maria from their one meeting.

If we can subtly bring it around to mentioning the DD retaliation, that would be good.

Whether or not he seems to have any doubts about his society nailing three first years to the wall and setting fire to them will go a long way to deciding how gently we wish to bring him over to our way of thinking.
>>
Can we actually decide via a vote going on what our plans with him ARE?
If my list is incomplete, tell me which plan I am missing. Otherwise say which plan you support:

So. So far I saw the following plans suggested:
1. Sissify and then let him grow boobs in public to humilate him.
2. Make him drop out. (sounds fine)
2a. After he drops out, kidnap him and then make him teach us/make foci/be a slave/sissify/whatever
2b. make him willingly become our bitch, renounce his faith, accept us as a half-demon, and willingly be transgendered without mind magics.
3. Make him a long term mole in the hand.
>>
>>24510678
I'm not sure people will ever reach a consensus on what to do.

Everyone seems to have different ideas.

I'm really not sure how to resolve this.
>>
"How much do you know about them?" you ask. "About Dana and Maria. I never really met Maria, and I don't know Dana very well."

"Oh," he says, thinking. "Well, Maria was very pretty. I only really met her once before she disappeared. I think her family was important, or something? She was very devoted to the cause, and a lot of people were very afraid when she went missing. I don't really know anything else about her. Dana, though, she's the favorite student in our year. She's very good at all of the Hand's magic."

"Do you know her very well?" you ask.

"Oh," he says. He seems to think you're jealous. "Oh, ah, no, not very well. She's very mean to me - says I'm a fool, that I can't see things right in front of me. I don't think she has much respect for me. I just wish we could, you know, be good Christians, but for some reason we seem to be competitive, and I'm always losing. I wish I knew what her problem with me is."

You have a feeling that her problem with him is, well, you. If she's that much better than Pierre at the Hand's specialty, you wouldn't be surprised if she knew exactly what you are. That does raise the question of why you haven't be disappeared yet - and why she hasn't told Pierre.

What do you say?
>>
>>24510693
Well, it seems to me a lot of the different plans were proto-ideas that people had and abandoned.
Looking at what people are currently arguing for I have narrowed it down to just 3 plans.

It seems that #1 has overwhelming opposition which we can confirm easily enough. And that narrows it down to just 2 or 3.
Whether we kidnap him after he drops out and what specific mods we make on him then can be debated when he is a slave at the tower. if we even go with #2.
>>
>>24510736
Ohh, delicious drama. I can't imagine DD actually dislikes Pierre enough to want him to disappear. Maybe they just have a "survival of the fittest" attitude.
>>
>>24510736
I believe its time for us to leave, we learned alot of things today.
>>
>>24510736
Ask him about the 'rumoured' attack by the Dextra on the special dorms.

Make sure that when we ask, we make it sound like we aren't sure whether we believe it or not, which is why we're asking him.
>>
>>24510736
>She's very mean to me - says I'm a fool, that I can't see things right in front of me
Yea, she is obviously referring to Max being a half-demon. Which is actually rather a big deal for max... maybe they are using pierre as bait for max hoping he leads them to the kidnapped Maria?

>>24510775
sure, why not.
>>
>>24510736
So they know what we are. And they were really worried about Breakfast.

I don't like this.
>>
>>24510797
>>24510803
I doubt they think Max is involved in that, if they thought that, we'd already have been grabbed and mindfucked for information.

They're probably just leaving it alone, figuring that if Pierre can be misled that easily, he's not worth the effort.
>>
>>24510803
Well, they probably don't know that we're related to her disappearance.
Yet.
>>
>>24510797
This phrasing could also mean she is going all tsundere on him.
>>
>>24510803
Just because Pierre is stupid doesn't mean DD is. I'm honestly not surprised they know our secret, but I am curious what their normal strategy is when they find one in the school.

We should look into/ask Dad about what DD specifically has done to part-demon students. May be they view the school as neutral ground or something (though I doubt it).
>>
>>24510844
>"S-stupid Pierre, it, it's not like I really care if the demon girl gives you the D."
>>
>>24510830
You are right. also in retrospect there are various other enemies of the hand at the school.
Plus it was done by a 5th circle full blooded incubus so any divinations they did would indicate as such.

>>24510859
As I understand it, they might want to have their lowbies cut their teeth on the other lowbie students. And there are the other societies, other archmages, etc to consider.
>>
>>24510859
I think this was covered before. In general, DD only go after supernatural students who seem like an active threat.

If they knew we had Breakfast, they'd disappear us right now. As it is, they have no reason to hunt us when there are more dangerous things out there.
>>
No-one else picked up on this, but, Dana's specialities include Telepathy. There is a lot of shit in our brain that could get us in trouble if she ever decides to read out thoughts.

We need to boost our mind shield.
>>
Question, should we go after Dana?
Taking out pierre would probably put her on high alert and risks exposing ourselves to the hand.
So she makes a better first strike target then him. Heck, at this rate he is going to fail out at the end of the year without any actions from us.
>>
>>24510904
It was written as a sub-category of "non-invasive Enchantment", so I brushed it of as simply communication.
>>
>>24510921
I don't think we should actively target Dana, if she goes missing too, it will put the DD on high alert because they'll think someone is actively picking off their members.

I think all we really need to do is prepare, so that we have everything in place for if she starts a conflict with us.
>>
>>24510921
I see the incoming fun :
Next year, new pro-DDs see all their members were picked out quickly. Newcomers that would usually be confined in DD go radical or (worse) undercover.
>>
>>24510965
I do recall being told by multiple people that most Dextra don't make it past the first few years, so it wouldn't be anything new.
>>
>>24510775
ok yea
>>
>>24510930
the mindseed we put in pierre is probably considered non invasive either. It wouldn't trigger a spell virus.
Also, she also specializes in mind shields as explicitly stated.

>>24510933
MANY someones are actively picking their members.
And keep in mind that this argument is an equal reason why we shouldn't go after pierre.
At least pierre is going to fail out on his own, she is very competent and specializes in mind magic. She figured out what we are.

If we disappear her, remove the evidence of our tampering from Pierre, and then and then "reveal" ourselves to pierre and try to convince him to see us as people publicly, where he spurns us (or maybe even accepts)... well that would definitely throw the blame off of us.
We could even have an airtight alibi, we can have dad disappear her while we are with pierre in a public place.
>>
"There was an attack on the special dorms at the beginning of the year," you say. "Three students get killed. A lot of people think Dextra Domini was behind it, and are pretty leery of the hands because of that. Do you know anything about that?"

Pierre looks uncomfortable at the topic. "I, ah. I've heard rumors. That it was some kind of retaliation, for Maria. I... I don't really know," he says. "We're not really clued in on that. Or, well, I'm not, anyway."

"Pierre... Why aren't they telling you anything?" you ask.

The question hangs there in the air for a few long, awkward moments before he finally says, "I... I don't know, Max. Can... Can we be done for now, maybe? I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, sure," you say, not wanting to push it further. You know that he has that seed in his head, but you're not sure how far you can push it. Still, maybe you just planted the seed of doubt. He walks quickly out of the library.

As soon as he's gone, the librarian gestures for you to come over. "I was spying on the two of you," she says frankly. "You seem to enjoy bribing me. If you can bring me some dragon blood, scales, and maybe the heart, I would consider it a nice bribe. It would save me quite some time if I didn't have to get them myself."

What do you say?
>>
>>24511048
"ill do my best to get it to you " (big smile)
>>
>>24511048
"I'll see what I can do. I do enjoy being on your good side."

Should be plenty of dragon bits to go around that we can save for our third dryad.
>>
>>24511048
I was planning on doing it anyways, with the size of the thing there should be plenty to go around and then some, and keeping you happy means I get quality access to the library.
>>
>>24511048
Of course she does. The question is, do we have anything we want in return right now?
>>
>>24511048
You are saying a bit too much or too little here Madam. Would it be rude if I asked you what you plan to do with those items ?

Indicate we have a new Dryad. Restrain self from squealing.
>>
>>24511076
>>24511077
good answers, how about combining them as:
"ill do my best to get it to you (big smile), I do enjoy being on your good side."

>>24511113
Info on what the other faculty likes being bribed with? Also by having our pierre sessions in the library we are ensured privacy by some of the most powerful wards as well as her reputation. Which is rather high expense for what we are doing with him.
>>
>>24511048
You know what? I think we can really get Pierre over to our side naturally.

Oh, how Liz would hate that.
>>
>>24511113
If we keep her bribed, we can ask for things as we need them. I'm sure we can think of something we want from her.
>>
>>24511116
Hah, no. She's not the kind of person we press for info.
>>
Oh man, I went through and read all of recent archives yesterday.

Probably something like 70 threads over the course of 8 hours. Was a good read, and I am ready to be back.
>>
>>24511129
We'll never actually be able to bring him completely into our confidence without mind control, he will not react well to discovering Breakfast.
>>
>>24511141
Well, she's most receptive to helping us right after we deliver something to her. Seems kind of a waste to give her something good, and then come back six months later with "so, do you remember that dragon heart I gave you a while ago..."
>>
>>24511116
If we do ask her what she wants with them we gotta do it in a more respectful manner then that.
"you ask too much" is terrible thing to say to one of the most terrifying members of faculty.

Now, when you get her a HEFTY bribe of dragon ingredients you could ask her respectfully
>>
>>24511163
Basically, we can ask her for books covering any of the things we currently have projects underway for. We will be able to think of something to ask for when we deliver them.
>>
>>24511157
Interpersonal augments and soul rolls can solve everything.

Until crit fail.
>>
>>24511116
Oh brother, do NOT say this.

She has never reacted well to us pressing her for information in the past. At all.
>>
How about we tell her about the ancient sanctum with the ruined books we found? Some of them might be lost library books. We could ask her on means of restoring them and of course state that if any are library books we will bring them to her.

>>24511157
That is a good observation. Also hand does not allow deserters
>>
>>24511113
Don't we want some chemistry, in order to understand what the form memory alloy is about ?
>>
>>24511248
Petrov suggested we look into chemistry and materials science stuff if we wanted to do alchemy-enhanced materials, We don't need the librarian for that, we just need to pick up a couple ordinary textbooks first.
>>
>>24511248
Yes, we do, good point, we should ask for that when we deliver the dragon stuff.
>>
>>24511248
We can pick up books like that from regular libraries and book stores.

We get magical stuff from this library.
>>
>>24511048
tell her yes also
we need to ask about Wendy
>>
>>24511291
some of that stuff might not actually be possible to make without the use of magic, so we should still ask her about it.

Basically, purely magical materials, including metals and minerals, as well as impossible alloys created by magic, someone has got to have done the research on this in the past.
>>
>>24511248
we can learn from mundane sources first.
>>
>>24511329
We haven't done, and are not ready, for impossible materials yet. We should start with improving existing materials with alchemy first.
>>
>>24511329
lets have a good grasp of the mundane basis first. Otherwise we wont understand the best texts on that.
>>
"Understood, ma'am," you tell her. "When I bag one, I'll see what I can do."

"Good girl," the librarian says, giving you a sweet smile. "You're learning how this works better than the other students. I'm quite pleased by how our arrangement is turning out."

"Oh, that reminds me," you say. "My second little girl hatched yesterday. She's healthy and intact, just needs a bit of air conditioning. How's Wendy doing, by the way?"

"Oh, she's doing wonderfully," the librarian says. "She's learning very quickly. I might be able to give her some useful chores soon too."

What else, if anything, do you talk about?
>>
>>24511312
we can also tell her how Selene is such a good big sister to Alison and how Alison opened her crib.
>>
>>24511364
>I might be able to give her some useful chores soon too."
Ye gods. Another reason to stay on her good side right there.
>>
>>24511364
talk more about our respective daughters try to subtly find out if it would be safe to schedule a play date.
>>
>>24511364
I'd say go home and plan how to make some nice safe stairs.
>>
So, anyone else thinks we should target dana rather then pierre and simply let pierre fail out on his own?

I would like to amend my previous plan of having him as our alibi though, it would easily get our mind modifications of him caught. But being somewhere public when she disappears to dad would still work, especially if we lay some groundwork pointing at another student as the likely cause of her disappearance.
>>
>>24511364
Nothing really, lets not forget that the Librarian isn't the friendly type. Be polite and say goodbye, we need to check on the girls

>>24511397
Fuck off, we ain't letting a wendigo abomination anywhere near Selene and Alison.
>>
>>24511397
Stop asking for this.

The Librarian's dryad is a terrifying monstrosity. Plus the Librarian wouldn't trust anyone enough to actually let her daughter out in the open while she's still vulnerable.
>>
>>24511412
I kinda want to ask Dana why she hasn't told Pierre about us, no mind control, no drama, just curiosity.
>>
>>24511438
Indeed, could be interesting.
>>
>>24511364
Nothing else I can think of, maybe chat a bit more about dryads, then say our goodbyes and head back to the tower.
>>
>>24511438
>I kinda want to ask Dana why she hasn't told Pierre about us, no mind control, no drama, just curiosity.

Because we are on Murderhogwards and its survival of the fittest? Keep in mind that Pierre is the most hated first year student, we are literally the only person he hangs out with.
>>
>>24511416
I would agree that this might not be a good idea.
However, to be fair the librarian used a set of magics that effectively removes all the "monstrosity" portions leaving just the "near immortal" part.

>>24511412
>Pierre fail out naturally
Fem can you please say what is pierre's current class rank? (I am assuming all class rankings are public).
As well as how many months away we are from the fail/pass date for year 1?
>>
>>24511438
its tempting, but there are many things that can go wrong there.
Not the least of which is the fact we reveal to her that we know she is the other dextra in the class and that this info came from pierre. Pierre blowing the cover of a fellow hand is justification for the elder hands to intervene and then they can find our little seed in his mind and the flawed mind shield.
>>
"It was nice talking to you," you say, trying to politely excuse yourself. "I'll be back if I get dragon parts."

"I'll look forward to it," the librarian says, giving you a smile which, though well-intentioned, fills you with a vague sense of dread.

You head on out of the library and fire off a text to your dad. A minute or two later and you're standing in the tower's inbound circle. Your dad and Lunch are both there.

"Selene and Alison got into a bit of a fight," your dad tells you. "From what I can tell, Alison threw a tantrum over something and started hitting Selene, then Selene bit her. Elizabeth is talking to each of them. You should probably go do something."

What do you do?

I am guessing Selene didn't resort to mindraping Alison when the fight broke (probably... as Alison still hit her, verify?). That is commendable.

Rolled 62

When do we use living alchemy on Pierre?
>>
"Thanks," you tell your dad, then start heading straight down the ladder. You find Liz and your girls in their room. Liz is holding Alison, who is sniffling into her shoulder, and Selene is sitting on her bed, looking equal parts worried and angry. "What happened?" you ask.

Selene just pouts, turning away from you. Liz speaks up. "Alison tried to take Selene's toys from her," she says. "When Selene wouldn't hand them over, Alison started hitting her. Selene decided the best way to resolve the situation was to bite her sister. And here we are."

You take a closer look. You see a pink bruise on Selene's waxy white arm. Alison has some blue-green teeth marks on her hands, but it doesn't look the skin got broken, which you find odd considering those fangs of Selene's.

What do you do?
>>
>>24511635
separate them, different rooms get the story from Selene, then tell her how she should handle the situation in the future, like sharing, even when you don't want to and not hurting your sister, but protecting them...bla bla bla
>>
>>24511772
Scold selene for biting then take allison away from liz and scold her for hitting her sister.make them say they're sorry and hug it out. maybe remember to have a talk with liz about this when the kids aren't around.
>>
>>24511772
Selene seems to have taken a beating, she either held back to not break the skin or she is just that much weaker then alisson despite age difference.

1. Comfort Selene, she just got beat up for the first time in her life.
2. Verify selene didn't mess with alisson's mind, if she didn't then praise her for it.
3. Healing magic?
4. Explain to Selene that Alisson was being bad, but only because she is too young to understand better yet. So she should forgive her sister, and until she is old enough to understand to be more lenient.
5. Have selene with you to make up with alisson
6. Distract them both with something fun.
>>
>>24511772
Scold Selene for not sharing with her little sister, a big sister should share with er little sister, scold Alison for trying to take her sisters toys after she had said no and scold them both for hurting each other

A SCOLDING FOR EVERYONE
>>
>>24511821
>>24511885
>>24511912
A combination of those seems ok.
>>
>>24511885
Selene didn't bite until after she took a beating. She has a bunch of bruises. She could have been seriously hurt or even killed by Alison inadvertedly if she didn't defend herself. Its important that they are not left unsupervised in the future.
>>
>>24511772
Ask Liz how she handled it first! Talk with the girls about love and respect etc. Make them feel bad so they cry and then go make some awesome food!
Bring them down and pick them back up again. That's how parenting works, right?
>>
>>24511772

this is a very delicate situation.

tell them it is unacceptable to hurt their own sister.

we HAVE to treat them equally or else they'll get the idea that we treat one of them better.
>>

I am pretty sure Alison doesn't even know how to speak yet, as she just hatched.

@Femcock: How old are selene and alisson right now? I lost track of their age.

I'm afraid his deeds cannot ever be forgiven.
>>
You frown and go over to Selene. You scoop her up and put her in your lap so she can't turn away from you, not that the direction she's facing is too big of a deal for her. "So?" you ask her. "What exactly happened."

"What mommy said," Selene says, still trying to turn away from you.

"Why didn't you want to share with your sister?" you ask.

"'cause I was playing with the blocks. She wouldn't wait her turn and doesn't know how to talk, so she wouldn't listen."

"So she got mad and hit you?" you ask. Selene nods. "And you bit her?" She nods again, more slowly. "How did you get ahold of her?" you ask. "And why isn't she bleeding?"

"I grabbed her hand," she says. "And she kept trying to hit me. So I bit her, but with just my front teeth. 'cause my fangs are pointy."

"And then Alison started crying?" you ask.

"Uhuh..." Selene says. She sounds like she's on the verge of crying too.

You pull her closer. "Listen, sweetie, you need to be patient with your sister while she's learning how to talk," you explain. "I'm very proud of the fact that you tried not to hurt her and didn't do anything to her mind, but since you're the big one, it's your responsibility to keep anything like this from happening in the first place. Okay?"

"Okay..." she says, sounding ashamed.

What do you do?
>>
>>24511772
use enchantement to make them realise what the other feel.

Thank you. IIRC you stated every 1 month of dryad growth is about the same as 1 year of human?
So in human age Selene would be 2 year old and Alison 12 days old.

>>24512201
No.
>>
>>24512196

have Alison take a look at the bruising on Selene's arm and wave an disapproving finger at her with a stern expression on our face.

she should be intelligent enough to figure it out.

then have both make peace.

You head over to Alison and Liz. You point at her sister's bruises. "That's not acceptable," you say sternly to Alison. "She's your sister. You can't hit her just because she doesn't give you what you want. Do you understand, little lady?"

Alison starts crying again, her cold tears leaving goosebumps down Liz's arm.

What do you do?
>>
>>24512595
Ok you did enough chastising.
Group hug, get them to make up and say sorry, and then snacks and entertainment.
>>
>>24512595
Let her cry a bit, then on to the snacks and fun times. Can't undercut the message by going straight to fun shit.
>>
>>24512595
Don't know if she really understood that, but I guess we need to make sure they both apologise to each other.
>>
>>24512595

sit down somewhere comfortable, Liz can keep holding on to Alison and we'll just sit quietly while everyone calms down.

when she does calm down, take Both Selene and Alison in a hug and kiss Liz

>i wish i had more experience with kids.
>>
>>24512667
Kids are easy if you keep a cool head and think a little. Experience with them isn't necesarry.
>>
>>24512595
Let her work it out of her system, and then let the two make up with a hug. after they've calmed down, the four of us can have some fun.
>>
>>24512667
this sounds like a good plan
>>24512702
only because we evolved for child rearing.
>>
You let Alison cry it out before taking the two girls and sitting them both down on your lap. "Now, you two hug and make up," you tell them. Selene reaches out and puts her arm around her little sister, whispering an apology... And Alison sinks her gums into Selene's shoulders, and angry look on her little face.

"Mamaaa!" Selene protests, looking up at you for guidance. She doesn't look pained, just confused.

What do you do?
>>
>>24513021
Give Alison a stern and simple "No, we don't bite" and make her try it again until she gets it right.
>>
>>24513039
This. We need to be certain to emphasize with Allison not to use her strength and violence to solve her problems. We may want to consider teaching her a good since of discipline, perhaps martial arts, as she gets older. We don't want our baby girl growing up into a bully.
>>
>>24513021

give Alison a look of disappointment.
>>
>>24513021
Laugh, and tell Selene that this is what she taught her sister.

Then be serious and make them do it right.
>>
>>24513176
No no no, Alison will hear the laugh and assume that biting is funny.
>>
>>24513198
Although it is salient to point out that Selene is setting a bad example.
>>
>>24513176
Well, in a better parenting sense we can explain to Selene that's why being a big sister is so important. She's setting the example for the little sister.
>>
>>24513109
this

then tell Selene this is what she taught her sister.
no laughing just calm and a hint of disappointment.
>>
>>24513176
No, do not laugh, that sends exactly the wrong message.
>>
"You see what happens when you set a bad example?" you ask, choking down a smile. You pull Alison off her sister. "No. You do NOT bite. Now, give your sister a hug."

Selene hugs her sister again and give her a little kiss on her forehead. After a few seconds of pouting and not participating in the hug, Alison finally hugs back.

What now?
>>
>>24513245
Tell both our girls how proud we are of them for making up.

Then we can spend some time with them. If we play a game with them, we can make sure that they both share their toys this time, to help the message sink in.
>>
>>24513245
Make sure that Selene gets the whole setting an example thing.

"Why do you think Alison bit you when you tried to hug? Where do you think she got the idea to do that?"
>>
>>24513245

>>
>>24513313

Then >>24513296. See if we can't make heads or tails of it.
>>
>>24513265
This. Let's help the message sink in.
>>
>>24513427
>Then >>24513296. See if we can't make heads or tails of it.

Liz is pretty damned smart, we can ask her to help us figure out what it all means.

>>24513425
I consider that step 1 in making a better bow. If we have to site there rolling mind to understand notes, then so be it.
>>
>>24513427
Seconding play session.

Then we can work on the bow.
>>
>>24513444
Hera would probably know more about it because she's an Alchemist Guild member.

>>
>>24513491

>>24513534
I'd rather we do it right than build some half-assed bow that snaps the first time we try and shoot it at the dragon.

Oh, we should also look up bow cross-sections if we haven't already. American flatbow is best bow, but I don't know if Max knows that at this point.

>>
>>24513629

>>
Actually can we even shoot worth a damn? We've done lots of martial arts but we haven't trained in archery at all, and we don't have any warded space big enough for a range.
>>
Can we have our rooms refited as Liz asked ? She was helpful with the girls, we can do this for her.
>>
For when Femcock inevitably returns and says "so what do you actually do?"

My vote is still for playing with our daughters for a bit, and helping teach them about sharing.
>>
>>24513376
I'm going to put on my snapple hat for a moment and say we use frozen mercury arrows.
>>
"Good job," you tell them. "Both of you. Sisters are supposed to love each other and get along. Come on, let's do something together." You nod and Liz and she comes and sits down too. The four of you spend the next few minutes playing with blocks together, though Alison does occasionally shoot Selene a little frown. You think that your littlest girl might be one to hold a grudge.

Eventually, once the girls are playing together nicely, you and Liz slowly step back and let them have fun together.

What do you do now?
>>
>>24513719
The mercury will just shatter on impact and then the dragon will have some heavy metal on the outside of its likely metallic scales.

If we could shoot it into its maw, a nostril, or an eye though, then you might have something. But why bother when we can just get deadly, deadly arrows?

I've never felt so proud. I bet she'll also like cats and honey brown ale.
>>
>>24513734
Look over the notes from Petrov, if there's any science we don't get, ask Liz about it, since her knowledge of mundane science is probably a damn sight more advanced than ours.
>>
>>24513734
Pick up Liz, give her a deep kiss, and carry her to a convenient surface for some fucking, doing it in front of Lin or one of the Pets would be a bonus.
>>
>>24513761
Who DOESN'T like honey brown ale? That's my favorite way of imbibing alcohol!
>>
>>24513793
This, then >>24513766

How many threads has it been now since we've given anyone the D.

I feel like we're losing our way, /tg/.
>>
>>24513805
Mah nigga!
>>
>>24513523

>>
>>24513793

>>24513740
>>24513719
Won't help. Pure mercury while toxic isn't actually dangerous as it's unlikely to be absorbed by your body, it needs to be mercury salt to kill you dead and it takes a while.
>>
Oh a quick question : did we phone Mom to tell her she was a grandma again ? I remember the pictures being taken, but not the message being sent.
>>
>>24513986
Yeah we did
>>
>>24513734
Get someone else to keep an eye on our daughters, and go give Liz the D, we haven't been spending enough time with her recently.
>>
So, what's the plan, bang Liz or work on the bow or something?
>>
>>24514171
>work on the bow
>>
>>24514171
Bang Liz, then work on the bow.

Possibly get Liz to help us out with understanding the more advanced science parts Petrov's instructions.
>>
>>24514171
The former, then the latter.
>>
>>24514171
Let's do the bow
>>
>>24514171
Bang Liz, then we can work on the bow, maybe ask Liz about how the materials work as she might know more about them than we do after we've fucked her into a limp mess.
>>
>>24514171

Bow, maybe with help from Liz then bang her as thanks? I feel like we haven't fucked in a while.
>>
>>24514171
We can't do both? At the same time, if possible?
>>
>>24514171
Bow then fuck. Liz is always useless for a few hours after a dicking.
>>
>>24514171
can we do some tantric meditation with Liz on what we learned in our study lesson and then go work on the bow?
>>
Hm, infinite quiver?
A possible neat trick. Lunch powered autoloading bow. Put a button on the bow. when depressed, a light goes on in the tower, and lunch teleports an arrow to a miniature inbound ring on the bow itself, automatically nocking a new arrow.

If we put the time and effort into designing the bow to be both collapsible and self assembling, this could be a cool way to be armed in a manner more subtle than carrying an assault rifle.
>>
>>24514394
An when Lunch gets tapped out of conjuration? some kind of pocket dimension full of arrows might be a better idea.
>>
>>24514394
a construct would be better than lunch and an on sight magic item is almost as doable if not more so. an infinite quiver is good the other stuff is just chaff.

>>24514440
or an automatic alchemy machine like Hera's billfold.
>>
>>24514394
i think it would be better to have quiver use a power source to 'recall' the arrows we have already shot off after a short period of time so that we could enchant our arrows and re-use them until they break (or we decide we don't like the enchanted effect)
>>
>>24514481
You're forgetting that we're going to go into combat with anticonjuration wards up all around us. They'll interfere with the recall.
>>
>>24514481
we could have 3 compartments 1 for alchemy made infinite lighter flight arrows only holds 2-3
1 for infinite alchemical heavy arrows only holds 2-3
1 for teliport recall of all our enchanted arrows.
>>
>>24514536
then we set down a quiver beside us...
we don't need one on our hip
>>
>>24514580
Invalidates a huge part of speed and kills mobility.
>>
>>24514440
Fair, was thinking of having her just craft arrows that are themselves conjuration strain foci. Mounting a dimension hole to the front of the bow that you reach into, then pull straight back out, arrow in hand to nock immediately...

Only downside here is that we know such spaces require a power source to continue existing. Admittedly it's a corner case, but if that power source gets cut off then we're out of ammo at best and missing a hand at worst.
>>24514481
That could work as well, but then we're carrying arrows around. Part of this whole package is the intent of being low profile.

So, automated alchemy construct then? As >>24514536 notes we might disrupt our own conjuration efforts, so rapid fabrication of ammo on site might be a good idea. Carry some 1 inch tungsten ball bearings around, make them alchemy strain foci, turn them into arrows as needed?
>>
>>24514609
>Carry some 1 inch tungsten ball bearings around, make them alchemy strain foci, turn them into arrows as needed?
Why in god's name would we make permanent foci only to destroy them to make arrows?

Make more mundane alchemy foci in our tattoos and just alchemy the arrows out of the air.
>>
>>24514651
Because you need a substance in order to do alchemy, and our arrows need to be extremely strong to not get overtorqued by the bow itself. Pulling trace dirt out of the air is unlikely to yield an arrow of significant structural integrity. The ball bearings (or whatever) could adapt the principles from the collar, allowing them to retain their enchanted properties regardless of shifts in physical configuration. Although that raises the question of power...

A possible way forward: Carry a container of dense metal spheres in what amounts to a mentos tube. These objects have two modes, dormant and active. When dormant, they are sphere shaped and just sit around, absorbing kinetic energy as we walk around. When active, however, they use stored energy to reformat into an arrow. No effort or rolls on our part. The bonus being the possibility that the spheres contain energy in excess of that needed to transumute them, and can be made to release that energy when active and subjected to sufficient impact.

In other words, create self transmuting arrows that dump their excess energy on impact with the target. That has the potential to be rather nasty.
>>
>>24514826
>Pulling trace dirt out of the air is unlikely to yield an arrow of significant structural integrity.

We can make any substance in any purity out of any thing the same mass. All we need to worry about is conservation of mass and we can just pull in from the air and ground you are making an issue where there is none.
>>
>>24514826
You're missing the entire point of what I said.

I didn't say "don't make the arrows out of tungsten"

I did say "don't make the arrows out of the foci you plan to use for the spell, because that will destroy them. Use our tattoos for the foci instead of the raw material for transmutation"

If you take a tungsten ball bearing and turn it into a focus, then turn it into an arrow, it's not a focus anymore.
>>
You walk over to Liz and pick her up, tossing her over your shoulder as you start heading up the ladder. "Mistress!" Liz whines. "Shouldn't I keep watching the kids?"

"Selene can watch her sister for now," you say, continuing to climb. "For now, though, I think my fragile little slut needs some attention."

"...yes, Mistress," Liz submits, no longer squirming or struggling. When you get up to the bed room, you start carefully pulling all of Liz's clothes off as she works on yours. You weren't kidding about her being fragile either; if it weren't for how you increased your Coordination, you would be worried about accidentally damaging her or her clothes.

As soon as you're both out of them, you lift Liz up by her ass. She barely weighs more than a feather to you now, so it's easy to hold her up in the air to fuck her, leaving her with no ground or bed to touch down on. She puts her arms around her neck to keep upright, one hand on her ass and one on her back as you lower her onto your cock. She wraps her legs around you, holding on tight, as you slowly, pleasantly start sliding her up and down your cock.

You're glad you have boosted Perception. With it, and your Shield, your sense of touch is down to normal levels. She's tight around you and moaning in your ear. "Harder..." she finally begs. You've been going softer for the past few weeks for fear of accidentally hurting her by going to hard.

What do you do?
>>
>>24514904
Slowly work our way up to fucking her harder, so that we can figure out the limits without accidentally hurting her.
>>
>>24514904
>"Harder..."
just a touch
>>
>>24514904
Stop completely. Just leave Liz on the bed. I don't give a fuck.

>>24514904
We're done. If Fem's giving us the choice to continue or not, something's going down.

Selene's probably using the fangs this time. Do you wan't your daughters to kill eachother?
>>
>>24514904
Slowly increase the tempo over a long period of time, and keep on increasing it, if she wants harder we'll do it faster and faster.

Though if it gets to the point where it's actually hurting her tone it down a notch.
>>
>>24514963
You know, Femcock has done multi-part sex scenes before.
>>
>>24514885
>>24514873
Neither of those things are clear to me as fact. Although I could well have missed Fem saying alchemy is a simple mass for mass exchange, in which case cool. What I'm fairly certain hasn't been stated is whether or not physical transmutation disrupts enchantment, as the collar seems to suggest this is not the case.

If indeed enchantments can last through transmutation, then that makes self operating kinetic impactor arrows possible, and that sounds really god damn cool.

>>24514957
Let's not turn her pelvis to dust, thanks.
>>
>>24514904

>>
>>24514963
>Do you wan't your daughters to kill eachother?
At least then something would be happening.
>>
>>24514979
There is absolutely no reason to make the arrows into foci. We can do that with our tattoos and then we won't risk losing them every single time we shoot.
>>
>>24514963
Aaand now you've got me paranoid about that. Add to that the concern that there's a Hand death-squad waiting for Pierre and us when we go hunting, or that we might start to fail out due to our lack of studying the underpinning science Petrov suggested...joy. Just...joy. And here I was just thinking Fem wanted to give us a test to see the consequences of our enhancements on our personal life (beyond missing much of Selene's babyhood).
>>
>>24514904
hit that shit balls deep!
>>
>>24515009
Oh...and beyond being a reclusive and asociable jerk. Heck, I still think we should have at least tried to figure out why Pierre joined Dextra (beyond his religious upbringing), and I think it's horrid how we've failed to actually try to get to know Sanjay.
>>
>>24515005
Right, still missing the point of trying to get a better handle on how precisely alchemy and focus interacts, so as to make arrows that can store and discharge kinetic energy in excess of what the bow imparts on them. Keep up.
>>
>>24515022
It's just because everything takes forever.

Nobody wants to waste real time on it.
>>
>>24514904
We can pick her up and down with pretty much just one hand.

So vary the pace, one moment jack hammer away and the next hold her balancing on the tip of our cock, don't let her predict what's coming next, constantly alter it and control the entire encounter, she just gets to be held up by us and fucked however we choose.
>>
>>24514904
Stop completely
"Harder what?" Make her beg for it then give her a dicking so hard she won't remember who she is
>>
>>24514904
Keep going a little harder until she is content.

Keep an ear open for sounds of trouble downstairs.

We are parents now. Parents have to be ready to abandon snu snu at a moment's notice in the face of emergency. That's why snu snu is for after the kids are sleeping.
>>
>>24515036
Or even timeskip time. We've been nothing but an enchantment monkey for the last few skips. I joined the quest originally because I found the interpersonal interaction in it interesting. Heck, I mostly stay for the d'awws and feels. That most anons are turning it into SCHOLOMANCE GRINDQUEST just bugs me.
>>
>>24515044
Not literally, though. Save that for Pierre post-feminization.
>>
>>24515032
Shut the fuck up you pompous tard. You said, and I quote, "Carry some 1 inch tungsten ball bearings around, make them alchemy strain foci, turn them into arrows as needed?" >>24514609

Then you said "The ball bearings (or whatever) could adapt the principles from the collar, allowing them to retain their enchanted properties regardless of shifts in physical configuration. Although that raises the question of power..." >>24514826

Which is an even worse idea because then we have to make each arrow individually rather than just alchemy a few dozen out of thin air.
>>
>>24515071
I mean, what happened to our plans (not snapple's Heart of Power or Maxleather plans but the reasonable ones) like ReasonableWizardingSchool? We've been putting that off along with the spending more time than Halloween on Mom (We rarely call. We should call more.).
>>
>>24514979
>he collar seems to suggest this is not the case.
the collar was designed for that and has limits in its shape changing but you have some point.
>missed Fem saying alchemy is a simple mass for mass exchange
she never explicitly said it but it was implied by everything i have read
>>24515005
this we can make tattoo foci if any event has to be on the arrow we can decide those later this dose not.
also this may be another place where foci are not like "true" magic items. the other is there aura.

>>24515032
>so as to make arrows that can store and discharge kinetic energy in excess of what the bow imparts on them
that would be a magic item not a focus

>>24515022
I agree this is the dumb shit we do because "stuff costs to much time"
>>
>>24515098
Wizard school is at least five years off. We have no resources or connections to do such a thing. On the matter of grindquest, it's immediately for using our bow like a badass, and in the future, it's to avoid getting nuked from orbit without a chance to react. I agree we need to spend more time talking to new people outside the tower, though. Our circle is varied, but still limited. We need to talk to new people.
>>
>>24515077
Can people please explain the Pierre-hate for me? Is it a case of synechdoche, where the part stands in for the whole thing, i.e: Pierre receives all the aggression we feel for the DD, because most fleshed out member + incompetent + male? Is it just the neckbeardish hate for male incompetents? Atheistic hate for people who grew up in Christian ideological contexts?
>>
>>24515121
Femcock did mention the possibility that she might produce a simple listing of the first circle a while back, don't know if she's still planning to do that though.
>>
>>24515098
We really should just spend a week being sociable and not worrying about our gorram stats. What about time with Dad? or more with Lin? Hell, we could visit Dane/the twins at Lotus Temple.
>>
>>24515090
Yes, my ideas about what might be possible to achieve with magical ammunition have changed over the course of the conversation. If all I wanted to do was make some mundane arrows out of thin air, and if we can establish that alchemy is in fact a simple mass for mass transfer, then by all means use the tattoo method.

If, however, we want to make arrows that are more than mundane, and want to avoid doing alchemy rolls in combat every time we have to reload, then it might be worth it to pursue alternatives. I'm interested in discussing those, are you?
>>
>>24515131
It more stems from the fact that when we first met him, he talked about how no-one with demonic blood was innocent and the DD should send them all to hell where they belong.

Seriously, don't try and drag some godawful religious argument into this.
>>
>>24515134
We haven't even looked at the possibilities of things outside of Scholomance. Hell, the Study Sanctum is underway, and we haven't so much as seen the damned thing. Our Second Sanctum prospect has been sitting unused. Do we even know if it's been examined?

Come on, Anons! Where's your sense of gorram adventure?
>>
>>24515131
People hate him because he wants to kill all demons, and we happen to have a demon as the mc.
>>
>>24515098
>We've been putting that off
It's really not viable for a first year student. Building up a tower base and learning lots of skills to eventually teach is pretty much the most we can do at this point. That, as well as killing god and fixing mortality, are both really high-level, far away goals. There's no immediate overarching plot, which is really one of the biggest flaws with this quest.
>>
>>24515161
Buried under incessant bickering and the paranoid threat of being nuked the second one roll goes against them.
>>
>>24515161
No, apparently we must turtle or everything will go wrong forever and we will lose.
>>
>>24515142
I'm not trying to drag a religious argument into it. All I'm suggesting is that the boy's an obvious follower-type. It's doubtful he's ever actually HAD a distinct challenge to his beliefs. He's had literally NO REASON to reexamine that stance. Hell, our carelessness in releasing dad (which admittedly led to the adorableness that is Breakfast) only gave him legitimate reinforcement for those beliefs.
>>
>>24515161
I think how close we came to losing Max in her fight against Lunch made people nervous about doing anything dangerous.

Although we are apparently going dragon hunting this weekend, so there's that.
>>
>>24515173
>>24515179
yes this is what stops us taking risks we have no tolerance for failure
>>
>>24515189
We did question him about DD's attack on the special dorms earlier, and he seemed shaken about it, so we may actually be causing him to question things.
>>
>>24515189
>>24515194
My money's still on that being a hand trap in the offing. We should probably have Dad and Lunch on extraction standby for that.
>>
>>24515197
So we're doing the quest-thread equivalent of JRPG level grinding. And in the process missing out on the actual damn story.
>>
>>24515189
Even if we do shake his beliefs to the core, the result is the same as disposing of him in other ways.

If he leaves DD they will just kill him or force him to leave forever.
>>
>fuck her harder
>roll mind to exert enough self control to not crush her to death or lance her straight through
>>
>>24515218
Yup. It has been a long time since we went exploring.
>>
>>24515218
unfortunately yes as it is the only pate that offers any hope of a margin of failure so we can be "safe" in at least some risk taking. It is not what Fem intended but it is the logical response to the intensives she has set.
>>
>>24515218
To be fair, there's no real story. It's pure sandbox right now, and we're having to make our own storylines.
>>
>>24515199
That's what led me to post my bit earlier. My money's on the notion that DD know who and what we are, but have yet to do anything about it because they're concerned over fallout over what might be seen as an assault on another organization (given it involves two members of Lotus [us and Lin]). They may even assume we're (or worse, Sam is) responsible for what happened to Maria. They may just be biding their time for the best opportunity to strike. Hell, Pierre's probably already a sacrificial pawn in their books. Given that, with proof he might join us willingly (for protection at a minimum) though I imagine it'll be a big fucking mess when he finds out we're responsible for what happened to Breakfast/Maria.
>>
>>24515278
Logical, yes. Fun, fuck no.
>>
>>24515278
The other option would be to do the SL1 equivalent.

"I'm not leveled, but I'm fucking awesome, so fuck you all!"
>>
>>24515218
>implying there even is an actual story at this point
>>
>>24515303
I think we're safe enough right now to just go exploring. We haven't seen dragons flying around, and apparently even second-years can kill dragons with minimal effort. We should probably be able to handle anything we run into with our bow and magic at this point.

exactly Lunch was the worst threat we have yet faced directly.

>>24515439

Yes and no. It's from a fantasy novel by Brandon Sanderson. It's a weapon intended to be used by super-strong monstrous shock troops. It's basically a giant, bevel-edged hunk of metal intended to crush enemies in a largely medieval setting.

We're planning tats for the meals

Dad said he's considering getting some instead of jewelry like his old bracelet.

It's not Lotus exclusive.

And yes, I do want to keep them.
>>
>>24515439
Except we've got the bullshit magic powers to pull it off. We could swing something like that easy, and stash it in an extradimensional pocket when we aren't using/scaring the shit out of people with it.
>>
>>24515447
augs are lotus only Tattoos are the crappy universal replacement. and something even Lotus uses for foci.
>>
>>24515479
Think a ceremonial Zweihander made for someone strong enough to actually wield the damned thing effectively. And since magic can reinforce it to not break when we swing it, it could actually be useful.

It's a force-amplifier, pure and simple.
>>
>>24515479
It's just really pointless. By the time we can build something like that, Max's fists will be harder than the material it's made out of anyway.

We've been down the melee weapon route before. The reason the bow works is because it's a ranged alternative.
>>
You laugh a little at Liz, then start increasing the force and the pace. She keeps begging for you to go harder in increasingly incoherent tones until, finally, she says, "Ow!"

You stop. "Are you okay?" you ask.

"Yes!" she declares. "Why did you stop? I know our safeword."

You raise your eyebrows, but keep going. You start pounding away at her, still carefully increasing the force, as she moans in pleasure and pain - likely at the force of impact - into your ear. You keep escalating harder and harder until Liz finally yelps a little and yells, "Primrose!"

"Too hard?" you ask.

"Yeah," she says. "Just a bit softer. That was perfect."

You go back to how hard you were going about thirty seconds ago, smacking into her hard enough for it to echo slightly across the room. Finally, both of you start peaking, Liz clinging hard to you as she's finally pushed over the edge. After you finish, you slowly pull her off of you and leave her sprawled out on the bed, limp, drooling, and a goofy grin plastered across her face.

What do you do now?

I've got an idea for a (not-kid-helping) project:

Might be an idea actually, but I think we should work on the bow first, since everyone seems so excited about that. Provided we can work out the notes of course.

One thing that is extremely necessary to point out is that the Lunch incident happened the first week on last month. It's been almost 2 months IRL since any real threat has actually happened in this quest. It was like March 5 to 7th that stuff happened. It's practically May already.

TWO fucking months of stat grinding and minor plot developments. Now contrast this to the way beginning of the quest where shit was constantly happening all the time and it felt like every few days was a new problem we had to deal with.

It annoys me because I know Fem is a damn good writer, so the only reason why this complete napfest is happening is solely because the players themselves are too scared to actually do anything and seem to try to actively avoid the majority of the plot hooks she throws at us just because we'd rather stat grind over something that won't even happen for another two fucking months.
>>
>>24515774
What are these plot points we're avoiding?
>>
>>24515774
I think Femcock kind of did this to herself, back in the earliest days of the quest she stressed several times that if we fucked up even a little she would KILL US DEAD, NO COMPROMISE.
>>
>>24515774
>because I know Fem is a damn good writer
that is the only reason these game insentives havent killed the quest
>so the only reason why this complete napfest is happening is solely because the players themselves are too scared to actually do anything
Not the only reason. The QM has on multiple occasions gleefully said how we were one regular not crit fail from death all the time. it makes it hard to have fun and take risks. We cant even insure against them reasonably just avoid them.

You get the kind of game play the rules encourage and this is no exception. If we knew we could safely fail a little we would risk more failure.
>>
>>24515845
Yes we would take more risks if we weren't as paranoid, but a good quest requires consequences. Including death, with out the risk of failure success is hollow.

Sorry had to.

But yeah, you're right that she unintentionally encourages it too much, but it just gets frustrating sometimes seeing everybody go into obscene panic mode over even the most simplest of things.

I really like all the scenes like when talking to Dad about the background to the setting, but it seems excluding that recent conversation, we instead prefer to just stat grind or take care of the dryads instead of actively going out and trying to explore.

Like we are so afraid to actually take advantage of all the resources we have available on even the most simplest of things. Remember when we debated over whether we should teach Living Alchemy to Lin? The literal only thing we had to do at that point was send a single text to Dane asking if it was okay, yet the thought of actually taking advantage of the resources we have at our potential didn't even cross our minds.

We have Dad and Carl for all the interesting lore, we have all of our classmates for potential plot hooks, we have Dane for asking for advice. But instead we just prefer to stat grind.
>>
>>24515955
I suggested when the talk of Limbo came up a few threads ago that we should talk to dad about the possibility of visiting it, since I would assume high conjuration allows extraplanar travel.

It would be good to set up a base there so that we have a place to go if we die, and it would be interesting to explore another plane and meet some new people.

Sadly no-one else seemed interested.

It's like playing Dark Souls. You get two main sorts of player: the one who cautiously and methodically grinds his way through the game so as to minimize chances of death and the kind of guy who solos bosses bare-ass naked for the fuck of it. Personally, I think the latter sort of play is a hell of a lot more fun, even if it is a lot riskier. Which do we wanna be? The safe bet guy in the best armor and most reliable build? Or do we wanna be that motherfucker over there? Having a hell of a fun time with the difficulty and telling the risks to "Come at me, Bro!"
>>
>>24515935
>>24515955
there needs to be a way to take small risks that have no real chance of hurting us long term only short term then we can build up to well planed long term risks and do minor fun and risky things in the mean time. we are on hard core and i want a normal mode not to got to easy.

>>
>>24515803
>>24515935
I'm almost half convinced those were just bluffs on her part to make it seem more threatening than it actually is. She has a tendency to give us lots of secondary rolls to succeed on stuff even though we failed the first time around.

Remember when Dad was drawing the tattoo design on Max and we failed the rolls constantly? Instead of just a single fail and OH NO INCEST, she gave us several attempts to get it right afterwards to fix our mistake. Or the case with the fight against Kaoru and the Tengu, it just felt like we already failed at several points but were given a getaway free roll afterwards (which we failed also, but still).

It's like even if we fail something and botch it horribly, she always seems to give us a way out as long as we try to figure out how.

>>24515970
Sounds interesting as fuck, and all it takes would be to ask him a single question. We should do it.

Sounds like my Limbo idea has some support after all. Let's try asking Dad about the logistics of it later.

Once we have a proper "in case of death" contingency set up (I think there was a suggestion of a mind drill that activated upon death so our soul didn't end up confused and forgetful like most ghosts do), people can stop being so fearful of death all the time too.

The death of any one NPC has one, though. And you can't save scum, since the game autosaves your progress. That aside, I realize the metaphor's flawed, but my point still stands: you can be safe and meticulous about things, but some of the most fun I've had playing the game was when I was doing things that shouldn't have worked but did anyway.
>>
>>24516030 >>24516063

Maybe Fem should consider trying to think of non-lethal punishments. Or well, ones that have game-changing social implications, but not involving death.

Remember if we critfailed the soul roll to talk to Liz about the incest incident, Fem said she probably would have ran away and become a villain or something? Stuff like that. Stuff that has huge consequences but are ultimately salvageable if we play our cards right.
>>
>>24516065

Er, that might be misrepresentative. But they're an example of people who add artificial difficulty to an already-hard game for fun's sake.

>, Fem said she probably would have ran away and become a villain or something
that is a hare to far. We want some ability to make things more interesting but not harder. Like when we learned abut Liz's child abuse that was a perfect safe failure.

Sounds like finding a way to cheat death should be our first priority, then we can afford to take a bit more risk.

So discuss the possibility of setting up a base in Limbo with dad, and talk to him and Lin about modifying a mind drill to allow our soul to keep its memories after death so we can come back.
>>
>>24516020
The way we could take small risks that don't have any real consequences in the long run is just that we have to talk to people more about stuff not relating to our projects.

I mean shit, some possibilities right in front of us could be just talking to Lin or Dad. We barely ever talk to Lin and have no real clue what she is doing half of the time, so Fem could easily write up a plot hook of a problem she is having that she is struggling to deal with. Bam, new thing to explore.

Or even with how Dad goes out and tries to get the materials needed to make our dryads. Fem could easily write a plothook there too if we asked to Dad about what exactly he does to get that stuff, or we could even ask if we could accompany him for more experience.

We have so many characters available to us right now that there is no risk at all talking to them, so all it takes is for us to ask and then Fem has plenty of new interesting content she can write.

I'm personally hoping more Lin stuff or even stuff relating to the students we met as Lotus.
>>
>>24516031
Well, I don't think FemCOCK would let the shitty dice roll system decide our entire fate for us, so having us make up for it by allowing us to make up intelligent decisions seems like a thing that is acceptable.
>>
>>24516239
Methods for cheating death-
1. think ahead and have a plan
2. don't act rashly
>>24516253
And yes the most interesting stuff comes from interacting with characters, but that is almost a given in any role play.
>>
>>24516253
I think a large part of the drag on the quest was getting the 1/4 sleep augment so early. Not only does our sleep schedule rarely ever match up with everyone else's (making us just hanging around the tower alone), it just means there's more time to fill in a day, so the pace just gets slower and slower.

It made mechanical sense to grab less sleep aug early on, but it makes it hard to write, I think.
>>
>>24516296
>Methods for cheating death-
>1. think ahead and have a plan
>2. don't act rashly

Still, doing the Limbo & Mind Drill thing would be fun.

Plus we can build a construct for Max to possess if we're ever reduced to ghosthood.
>>
>>24516199
I was more giving an example of an extreme consequence that doesn't involve death. Even if that flag happened, we would still have plenty of opportunities later on to deal with her.

Like take if we were captured and bound by Kaoru. It's entirely possible that we still would be sentient and be able to conspire on how to free ourselves, except would be physically incapable of doing so. So the quest would've gone through an arc where we had to formulate a way to escape like a runaway slave. Kind of like trying to engineer a situation that would break the Three Laws of Robotics.

Also on another note, the thought of Liz going yandere mode is bonerific. Oh god it would be glorious. So much potential for shenanigans, because she wouldn't actually be evil, just a batshit insane stalker. So we would have to deal with stopping her mindbreaking everybody into "our" slaves while at same time trying to figure out how to return her sanity to her.
>>
>>24516297
Something to fix that would be to just replace sleep with study time.
And not roll for it.
Just do that as a timekiller unless we have a project or something important to do.

Reduce xp gain, and just skip through the wee hours of the night.

I'd be fine with that.
>>
>>24516296
Neither of those are cheating death. The first is just reading the rules before playing, and the second is stepping back when Death starts the game. Cheating is stacking the deck in our favor.
>>
>>24516297
One of the things that I think went wrong early was giving us the tower and access to Dad. Gave us WAAAY too safe of a backup, so we became too reliant and complacent early on.

It's understandable because if we have a "safe" zone then we will always prefer to stay there. Like how nowadays we teleport everywhere because its safer.
>>
>>24515955
>she unintentionally encourages it too much,
>unintentionally
Bullshit, she straight up fucking panders to Snapple by including his stupid ideas in the fucking thread. She deserves every derail and snails pace she gets.
>>
>>24516357
Not like it makes a difference if she does or not.

I've seen Femcock straight up veto something and say it can't be done.

Then people keep arguing about it for another 200 posts.
>>
>>24516355
We teleported everywhere because of the aftermath of the Kaoru incident. I think, however, we've already begun just walking to where we need to go now.
>>
>>24516376
Yeah, she will veto it, but then she will make references to it in the quest, encouraging people to act like dipshits in the hopes of getting a shout out from fem.
>>
>>24516339
I'd support that.

Maybe what we can do is something like the timeskips, where we have 3 passive things we are working on in the background at all times. So we can assume that those things are always happening without wasting time on rolling for half the thread.

Like with this bow. If we have enough votes then we can just assume that we work on it in the background, and once a certain amount of time passes Fem can present it to us once completed.

We would have three things at a time and we would have to vote to change them, and while the voting would take up time in the thread, it would be a lot more efficient stat grinding. Maybe having a roll every once in awhile for a really big piece as long as there's plot attached to it.
>>
>>24516318
I'm not arguing that it would be fun, I in fact spoke to it being a plausible plan. But i'd hardly call it a priority.
We have many interesting projects in works as it is, and given the scope of the project i would stick on a back burner for now. Perhaps to be readdressed when we have a better grip on the principles that would be required to execute it.
>>
>>24516422
Well, we can get the rest of the tower to help, after all, everyone (except Lin) could benefit from a way to cheat death.
>>
>>24516414
that would be nice
we could also assume creativity gives us automatic temp foci when we are at home with our huge foci selection cabinets to speed up crafting.
>>
>>24516414
That sounds nice. Anyone else up for implementing an auto-activity sleep skip thing?
>>
>>24516339
>>24516414
I'm down. We get the studying, and less of the grind.

Can we do this?
>>
>>24516390
The thing I worry about is while it makes sense for us as players to decide to walk around more, there wouldn't really be that much of a point in character to start taking that risk.

I'm not saying that we should keep teleporting everywhere since its fun, but I'm more hoping maybe Fem can throw us a plot event that prevents it from happening to keep it consistent.

Also I wasn't specifically referring to the teleporting in that post. There is a lot of stuff that we are capable of doing with Dad that are completely unbalanced. The example I should've gave was teleporting a piece of the GODDAMN SUN here to kill an enemy just because its the most convenient.

If we are given power, we sure as hell will take advantage of it because there's no in-character reason not to, so I think we were just given too much power early on. Easily countered by writing plot excuses for preventing such stuff though.
>>
>>24516501
Well, I'd say an in-character reason not to use sun bombs again is that if we do it too often, the Archmages might be forced to actually take notice.

With that slave escaping stuff, you know it would be funny if that thing was happening to Dad right now. The way that Fem writes him makes it seem like he immediately helps Max at the slightest turn of the hat. Yet at the exact same time, whenever any sensitive topic comes up, instead of outright saying no, he instead just says "ehh, I'm not that comfortable talking about that"

So I like to think he realizes that if Max flat out asks him, he has no choice but to answer, so he is trying to think of creative ways to discourage Max from asking certain things without having the blood bond interfering. While of course it's more just Fem's writing style, but it could be reinterpreted as a characterization instead. Kind of like as if Dad himself is mindbroken and is trying to figure out a way to get out of it. Of course he still cares for Max, but it would be an interesting side plot to see him try to figure out how to gain his own freedom by circumventing the blood bond.

I mean shit, maybe the entire reason why he is so hesitant about telling anything about his past and stuff is because he knows if he tells us, we will be more curious and ask for more, eventually getting to the point where we want to meet other people from our family. Except he full well doesn't want that to happen out of shame of having everyone else find out he was enslaved by his own daughter out of desperation. Or at least ashamed out of embarrassment and not spite.
>>
>>24516594
The thing is, it's not even a bad idea in the context of the setting. The only hard part is finding our enemies and doing it without the archmages caring.

So guys, question: Have any of the characters in the past talked about how difficult hunting a dragon is?

I remember Dane saying he could punch one out.

And I think I remember some of the other Lotus members saying they took one out during their time in the first circle? I'm not sure about this one, but if it's confirmed,it would ease my worries of us having accidentally bitten off more than we could chew (though I'm sure that there all kinds of dragons with different difficulty levels).

I think that about sums up what we know, we should probably read up a little more on dragons/ ask others about their capabilities before the hunt.

Plus, if we have our bow by then, we can try and put a superstrength arrow through its throat before it can get close enough to breathe fire at us or whatever it does.

Alright, thanks guys.

So hey, we're obviously going to get a part of the dragon to use for our third daughter: would it matter what part we used?

It could be worth noting that the Librarian pointed out that she could use several of the different parts, so that means Fem is probably setting up a point that each of them do different things and that we have to choose which one to keep and which to give as bribes.
>>
>>24517786

We need more SCIENCE for the esoteric ones, though. While most barriers stop kinetics, we need plasma, GRASER, and either antimatter or gravitics to exploit the fact that most people wouldn't think of heat transfer or hard radiation or plain old matter annihilation.

Worth checking out. Need to look up dragon biology before the hunt.

Also Pierre is gonna be with us so we need to at least set ground rules beforehand how the loot will be split up. Most likely he won't care since he's just into sorcery, but no reason to not clarify it from beginning. Better to be sure ahead of time since for all we know he thinks researching nonhumans is tech heresy or something.

He also seems to mainly be going after it for prestige, not parts.

He might want the head as a trophy to prove he killed it something.

Give him the skull?

We might want to cannabalize the head for parts. Tongue. Eyes. Maybe even the brain (I mean, if Pierre's gonna get the head as a trophy, we'd have to remove it anyway).

Thread probably needs to be archived soon.

When he shows off his kill to the higher circle hands.
>Pierre, did you kill this foul beast?
>Yessir I did sir *prancing giddily*
>Then why does it appear that it was beaten to death with... fists.
>Oh that was just Max she's awesome!
>Uh huh. Pierre, your're retarded.

We'll be using arrows, though.

Still likely to be humanly impossible to kill it with the bow we'd be using, though.

It's only Tuesday, though, right? Got 4 days to try and get it up to battle-ready level.

Someone probably better archive it soon.
