The year is 2573, and you're recuperating. With chocolate.>Previous Threads can be found at: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Psion%20Quest>Einstein hovered behind you- you could check his data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8After spending several hours late, late last night saving Anna and Alex, after being attacked by the void queen, you'd slept in almost the entire day. Now you're up and in the medbay with Alex, Damien, Kat, Isaac, and Robin, the latter of whom recently lost her ability to intuitively sense where things are.Kat was watching her favorite show on Damien's personacom, sitting on Robin's back as she did the same. You were sitting on Isaac's bed where he laid, and Damien was sitting in a chair backwards, large stores of chocolate in his bag."This probably isn't the most healthy lunch." Alex said, and took a bite of one of the candybars. One of the cel-shaded cartoons in Kat's show started fighting another character."It's perfectly healthy." Damien said."So, what did you find out about yourself?" Isaac asked Alex."Well... For one, I wasn't cloned. Not... really. Not quite, even." He said. "I, uh... You know how all of you guys were transgened?""Yeah?""Welll... From what it looked like, they based large parts of the transgene off of me." Alex said.
>>24510705"Huh. Well they certainly don't look like you."
>>24510705"so, does that mean you were the first?"
>>24510705"So, I guess that means you're their dad?"
"Huh. Well, they certainly don't look like you."Alex and Isaac met eyes, then turned to you and grinned. "Thanks." They said, simultaneously.Damien chuckled."So, does that mean you were the first?""I... guess." He said. "I wasn't artificially aged or anything. I'll... probably need to talk to my... parents about this. My adoptive ones, I mean. I should probably find out more."
>>24510740"Shouldn't you be Alpha or Omega instead of 3.14?"
>>24510810"Probably a good idea, yes."
>>24510810"I kinda want to know what's up with my missing memories too. I've got a niggling feeling that they caused it."
>>24510810"How did they even find out you were special if they didn't have any other psionics for you to... anti-psionic?">>24510815He's Phi not Pi.Phi is the golden ratio, 1.62
>>24510810"Well, if you want to talk to them in person sometime, let me know and I'll fly you there."
>>24510810"Just remember, you're still Alex, okay?"
>>24510810"well, you now have a whole lot more siblings than you would have guessed, huh?"
"Probably a good idea, yes." You say. "How did they even find out you were special if they didn't have any other psionics for you to... anti-psionic?" You ask."Well, they called my... talent or whatever it was 'Pariah', so I don't think they knew it was anti-psionic." He said. "Apparently, I can make other people find me distasteful or no longer notice that I'm there, in their logs.""Just remember, you're still Alex, okay?""Yeah, I remember." He said, and ruffled your hair."Well, you now have a whole lot more siblings than you would have guessed, huh?""Yep." He said. "Sucks, though, since I can't hit on Sigma.""Aren't you and Jilly... ah..." Damien asked."I uh. Maybe. I'm... not sure yet." Alex responded, and scratched his head.
>>24510900>no longer notice that I'm there>Whoops! Need to edit that - No longer feel empathy, or, well, anything towards me, in the logs."
>>24510900Big, shit eating grin"Oh really?"
>>24510900>No longer feel empathy, or, well, anything towards me, in the logs."So your special power is to be unlikeable... wow, I'm sorry to hear that."
>>24510900"You and Jilly, huh? Those tongues must be able to do some impressive things..."
>>24510900"I noticed that I was feeling weirdly hateful towards you in the field. I thought that was just because you were suppressing my powers. So your actual ability is to make people not like you?"
>>24510927Change that second part to "Wow, your special power is being yourself."
"You and Jilly, huh?" You ask, and give him a big grin. "Those tongues might be able to do some impressive things..." You say."Let's... let's change the subject now, please." Alex said, his composure wavering."So your special power is to be unlikable." You say. "Wow, so you can be yourself.""Ha. Ha." He said. "Very funny.""I noticed that I was feeling weirdly hateful towards you in the field. I thought that was just because you were suppressing my powers. So your actual ability is to make people not like you?""Well, think about it." Alex said. "Here's my thoughts on the whole thing. This shows.. or at least, gives some evidence, that empathy could have a... psionic component. Which means that everyone can do... like, slight slight telepathy or whatever."
>>24511022"Makes some sense. Certainly you were radiating an aura of wrongness to the point where I could barely recognize you back at the wyvern."
>>24511022"That kind of makes sense. I wonder if that means that anyone could be trained in telepathy if we used the training program from the supercomputer..."
>>24511022"Huh. That's actually pretty interesting. Have you told any of this to the science guys?"
>>24511053Speaking of which we have to finally get around to testing that.Robin wants TK. Lambda could probably do with some powers seeing as he can't use his own any more.
"Makes some sense." You say. "Certainly you were radiating an... aura of wrongness to the point where I could barely recognize you back at the wyvern.""Anna said that too. She said it made me, uh... she said it made me look like a moving slab of meat. Not a person or even an animal, just a *thing* that wasn't really significant.""That's actually pretty interesting." You say. "Have you told any of this to the science guys?""I will, but they're sifting through the data I gave them so they can find anything useful." He said."I wonder if that means that anyone could be trained in telepathy if we used the training program from the supercomputer...""Training program?" He asked.
>>24511100"Oh yeah, when I was doing technopathy during the presentation, I decoded the message the Void Queen sent. The scientists think we could use it to teach people other psychic powers... Everything's been so hectic since that I guess I forgot to mention it before."
>>24511100"It's a program reverse engineered from a technopathy virus. It would basically let me teach different powers using technopathy.
>>24511100"I decoded the Void Queen virus and they said they might be able to use it to let me teach a psion new disciplines. Only because of all the stuff that's been happening I haven't got around to testing it."
>>24511100"Modified brain virus that made me Voidy's thrall back in What-Could-Have-Been, allows people with Technopathy to teach others psionics that they know. It was what She used to Learn from Sigma."
>>24511100"That brain virus thing, I rewrote it! I could give you all Telekinesis."
"It's a program reverse-engineered from that technopathy virus." You say. "The scientists think we could use it to teach other people other psychic powers... Everything's been so hectic since that, I guess I forgot to mention it before.""Well, damn, let's go talk to someone about it. Or use it." Alex said. "I could probably use a little telekinesis or something myself.""You just want to learn biokinesis so you don't have to ask Theta before you go on dates with Jilly, don't you?" Robin asked, and leered at him."N-no." He responded.
>>24511193"That's definitely it. Well I don't know if I can teach biokinesis, since I suck at it."
>>24511193"Well, we know it works. Void Queen used it to Learn from Sigma."
>>24511193"At the moment you need technopathy to use it, so I'm not sure you could learn biokinesis, since that doesn't really work for me."
>>24511193"Are you objecting to Theta or biokinesis?" Chuckle.
>>24511193"Eheheh. They said only technopaths could use it and I'm afraid I don't know any biokinesis to teach you. Although if I taught Theta technopathy..."We can all have all of the powers!
>>24511193Waggle yon eyebrows. "Your mouth says 'no' but your cheeks say 'yeeess!'"
>>24511193"Speaking of which, Robin, I believe you wanted to learn TK?It's the least I can do after you saved Damien's sister."
"Eheheheh~, that's definitely it." You say, and waggle an eyebrow. "Your mouth says 'no' but your cheeks say 'yessss'.""Wh-what? No!" He said."Speaking of which, Robin, I believe you wanted to learn TK?""Yes!" She said, and appeared standing up next to you. She stumbled, and almost fell into you. You noticed a hole in the floor plating, shaped like robin's foot- black smoke drifting from it. "Damnit. I need to get used to this. It's like... it you were trying to juggle after losing all sense of touch.""Except if you drop the ball, something disintegrates." Isaac said."Yep."
>>24511363"Well, how about you just walk for now, and we'll see about teaching you some cool new tricks."Also, best not forget that we promised Summer we'd watch movies with her today, before we go and spend the whole rest of the day teaching TK.
>>24511363"Maybe you should just avoid teleporting until you get it back? Anyway, let's go over to the technopathy room."
>>24511363"Looks like you're going to be slumming it with us walkers for now."
>>24511363"So, maybe just walk around for now, alright? It's only a few hours."
>>24511363"Aaaaand I've suddenly lost the urge to try and catch you if you start stumbling again... nothing personal. I'd just rather keep all my bits firmly attached, thank you very much."
>>24511363"Well, I don't mind trying and see what can be done as soon as you want to. It's the least I can do after you took those bullets."
>>24511363"Yeeeah... Maybe it'd be best if you tried not to Teleport till you get your sense of Where back."
>>24511399Good point. Don't want to let down fluffy.
>>24511363"I can teach you a few things, but I promised my poor neglected roommate I'd watch movies with her later, so I can't stick around for ages."
>>24511363"Well, let's go see if this thing actually works then."
Hmm, I just had a thought. I Delta has no real attachment to Armatek then perhaps Jilly can talk to him to find out what he wants to leave them. Worth a shot anyway. Also I kinda wanna steal Omega from them before he hatches if possible.
You look down at the hole in the plating. "Yeeeeah, maybe it'd be best if you tried not to teleport 'till you get your sense of Where back.""If you teach me TK, I'll walk." She said. "But if you don't, then I'll give you teleportation hugs!""Oh, god." Isaac said, and paled- which, seeing he was albino, was rather impressive."... A-anyway, let's go over to the technopathy room." You say. "I can try to teach you a few things, but I promised my poor neglected roommate I'd watch movies with her later.""Alright!" she said."I'll come." Alex said. You, Alex, and Robin made your way out of medbay, and up the ramp to the technopathy room, and there was Keen leaning back in his chair, drinking soda and twirling an unlit cigarette in his hand, staring up at the ceiling."Oh! Hey." He said, and whirled his chair around, slipping the cigarette into his pocket. "What do you guys need?"
>>24511506we're going to see how good a teacher I am!
>>24511506"We want to test out the technopathy program."
>>24511506"Hey, Keen! We were gonna test the technopathy program and try to give Robin some of my TK!"
"We want to test out the technopathy program.""Right, right!" He said. "Let me call the doc, and look at his suggested list of whatchamacallits." He said, and tapped on the personacom. "Manus, they want to try the technopathy program.""Alright, I'll be up there soon." Manus said."Okay, let me look..." Keen said, pulling out a clipboard. "Here's how it works. First, the technopath takes all of their knowledge about the subject, and puts it into the program. Then it's compiled, and the second technopath reads the recompiled format, thus gaining intuitive knowledge when the worm's in their head.""Wait, both people need technopathy?" Robin asked."That's what it looks like, yeah." Keen said.
>>24511527We should do station wide scan, Voidy had Sigma. Who knows what was done.
>>24511583"So does that mean Sigma is the only person we can actually teach? That sucks..."
>>24511583"Oh, uh... Manus didn't tell us that. Robin, up for learning some of the basics of technopathy instead?"
>>24511583"Couldn't I transfer it with Telepathy?"
Rolled 77>>24511583damn those limitations, lets do it anyway!
>>24511583>Hah, I was right when I said it wouldn't work a few threads ago. Everyone else was all "Only the teacher needs technopathy!""Oh. Hmm... What if I used telepathy to pass the code on? Would that work?"
"Couldn't I transfer it with telepathy?""The problem here, it says, that the compiled worm seems to function subconsiously." He said. "So Manus is theorizing that you can't get ahold of it like you can conscious thoughts. Which is why you need it not to be in your mind while it's compiled." He said. "Well... Maybe Jilly could take it from your head and put it into someone else's... but that's iffy."
>>24511583"So... Void Queen has technopathy?"
>>24511639"Robin, what do you think? Want to try using Jilly as a router?"
>>24511583Huh, well we're also a strong Telepath. Let's see if we can use our Technopathy try to understand the program and adapt it for use with telepathy.
>>24511639"What's the worst that could happen?"
>>24511639"Well, it can also force the technopath to do something, so what if it was designed to make me subconciously push the knowhow into someone elses head with telepathy? Although that's probably something we'd need Jilly for as well."
>>24511639"So it's pretty much useless at the moment?"
>>24511665I chose to interpret this as an honest question, rather than a rhetorical.
"Well, it can also force the technopathy to do something, so what if it was designed to make me subconsciously push the knowhow into someone else's head with telepathy?" You ask. "Although that's probably something we'd need Jilly for as well.""That might actually work too, if you can get it to work right." He said. "What's the worst that could happen?" You asked."A lot of things." He responded. "But you should talk to Manus about all of this. He said he'd be up soon."As soon as he said that, Manus came into the room, tugging on his labcoat over his suit and tie. "Yes?" He asked."Heather had an idea." Keen said. "Make two compiled worms. One the message and the knowledge, and the second one is a controller to send the message via telepathy.""... That, uh... That might work." Manus said."And then Jilly might be up to the task, too.""Maybe." He responded."Alright." Manus said. "So, what exactly are we doing?
>>24511741"I'm compiling a worm to teach both these mooks telepathy."
>>24511741"Well, given how dangerous and untested this stuff is, we should ask both Robin and Jilly if they're up for it. The less brain matter leaking out of noses, the better."
>>24511741"Telekinesis, to Robin and Alexis."
>>24511741"Well, we were going to try and give Robin TK, so I guess we'll have to make the worms for that."
>>24511741"Well, calling Jilly and asking for a favour, for starters. Then maybe we can try to give Robin TK."
>>24511741Fuck if I know.
>>24511741"We need to find a way to use the program to teach Jilly technopathy so she can teach me telepathy so we can have two people to teach everyone else everything."
>>24511808"Hey... Is it limited to just psionics?"
"Well, calling Jilly and asking for a favour, for starters." You say. "Then maybe we can try compile a worm to teach both these mooks telepathy.""Alright." He said. "You can call her, while I talk to Alex about something.""Uh, me?""Yeah, you." He said, and chuckled. "I just wanted to ask if you're sure this data is right.""I'm... pretty sure, yeah, why?""Well, they've been doing these experiments for the past two years, and there are logs of projects designed to exhaust the subjects.""Yeah, those sucked big time." Robin said."Well, the thing is, there's no evidence of brain damage." Manus said. "Just complaints of headaches and exhaustion. They don't take any sort of physical stress on the brain. It's almost the opposite of what we see with our students.""... Huh." Alex said.Jilly picked up her personacom."Yes?" She asked.
>>24511866Nope. Voidy got knowledge about bubble drives from Sigma.
>>24511876"Hey, Jilly. Are you interested in learning some technopathy? Because we've got an idea for teaching different powers to people, but we might need your help to pull it off.
>>24511876I wonder if we can transgene that.
>>24511876"We get brain damage instead of tired. Well, that's not one of the best trade offs."
>>24511876"Jilly! Are you up for helping me, Alex and Robin in a little experiment to learn new powers? We need a telepathy expert."
Oh, are transgenes like Traits from Transmetropolitan? Like, anti-cancer, phone trait using your bone structure amplifier and shit like that?
>>24511876"Maybe it's because their talents are so ultra-specialized? Yaknow, something along the liens of we have to spend more mental energy to be so diverse."
>>24511934"Flawed" prototypes vs "Superior" mass produced version, like Gurren and co. and the mass produced heaps of junk post timeskip
"Hey, Jilly." You say. "Are you interested in helping me, Alex, and Robin in a little experiment?""Maybe a little?""Because we've got an idea for teaching different powers to people, but we might need your help to pull it off.""Alright!" She said. "I'll be right there. Where are you?"You tell her, and she hang up. You turn to the rest. "We get brain damage instead of tired? Well, that's not one of the best tradeoffs." You say. "Maybe it's because their talents are so ultra-specialized? You know, something along the leins of we have to spend more mental energy to be so diverse.""It's that there's some kind of backlash there." Manus said. "You'd have to ask Kailynn to know more about it, but she thinks it's something subconscious."Jilly slithered into the room, wearing a long sleeved sweater this time instead of her constant t-shirt."Alright!" She said. "What do I need to do?""We're all here?" Manus asked. "Alright. Keen, get the drives."A few moments later, you had two drives- one with caution tape and a 'No-Technopathy' logo, which you found rather amusing- and the second, which was green."Alright." Manus said. "The decompiled version is in the green. You just need to... put your power into it. Your memories of using it, or something similar. Can you do that, Heather?">Can you? If so, roll!
Rolled 49>>24512041"Let's find out if I can."
Rolled 95>>24512041"I dunno, we'll see."
Rolled 62>>24512041Yeah, I think so.
Rolled 10>>24512041come on high 90s
Rolled 43>>245120411's for the 1 throne
"I dunno, we'll see." You say, and close your eyes, focusing on the green drive. Within it was a program, you knew, empty and stripped, the program just a shell made to wrap around something. You took a deep breath, and then pushed... pushed your memories of telekinesis, focusing and concentrating... and then the shell was filled. You open your eyes again."You got it?" Manus asked. You nod, and he nodded to Keen, and Keen hit a button. Both drives whirred."Okay... What we'll have to do next is rather complex." He said. "You need to read this drive... all at once, and Jilly, you need to move what she learns into Robin. Do you think you can do that?""I can... I can try, yeah!" She said."Alright." Manus said, and nodded to you.You focused... and read from the drive. That strange presence entered your mind- And then Jilly focused, and the presence faded.Robin blinked."... This... This feels weird." She said, and rubbed at her eyes."How are you feeling?" Manus said."Weird.""Try... Try lifting this." He said, and held out a ball.It wavered... and very slowly started to lift. And a drop of blood came from Robin's nose.
>>24512138"Slowly! You don't want to hurt yourself."
>>24512138"Hooray, brain damage for everyone!"
>>24512138"Whoah. Careful, Robin, you've got a nosebleed."
>>24512138>whelp that's quick"easy, Robin, you're leaking." let her stop for a bit, she had a bullet inside her head until recently.also, wipe her nose with a tissue/handkerchief
>>24512138"So... Multiple powers means brain damage?"
Rolled 44>>24512138"You're doing my job, keep your brain inside you. I guess you're hard wired, well, specially adapted to your own things. Like it's part of your body, or rather an extension of it, instead of, well, tacked on like ours, I guess is an analogy."
>>24512138"Robin, be careful. You're leaking brain."
>>24512138"Eureka, it worked! Now we just have to work out how to do it without the brain damage."
>>24512138"Huh, so now you know how to do it, but it seems you'll have to practice from the ground up to get any good at it."
>>24512138"I don't think this is a thing we'll do often."
Rolled 8>>24512200Jules reads their mind, transports the knowledge to us and we write it down.
>>24512222Fucking dice, I put you away already, stay away.
"Slowly!" You say. "You don't want to hurt yourself.""Yay!" She said, grinning. Then, just as carefully, she set it back down. She wiped at her nose and shot you a grin. "Alright." Manus said. "On a scale of one to ten..." He said, and started asking Robin questions about how she felt, and what it was like, and how difficult it was... and at the end of it all, he nodded."Looks like you're... well, starting from the ground up." Manus said. "For the most part. Just... be exceedingly careful, and ask Kailynn for those synthetic moulting pills. Tell her you expect to be bleeding a lot.""Okay." She said, and grinned. "Guess what? I can *feel* things I use TK with!" and then Jilly twitched.Robin leered at her.
>>24512252"Oh no. What have I unleashed?"
>>24512252"Hey, I just figured out kinetic feedback too! And go easy with it for now: it's like a muscle, you have to build up your strength."Oh god, we gave the perv the ability to grope people at long distances.
>>24512252"Oh fuck, I forgot I have tactile feedback!"
>>24512252"You got that from me, you've no grounds to brag young lady."
>>24512252"Oh, right, I completely forgot to mention that.I worked out tactile telekinesis at some point, I guess it got transferred to you."
hey it took me a great deal of practice to get that! And you get it for free! No fair.
>>24512252"that's not what you use it for~!"
>>24512252"What have I created?"
>>24512252"Oh god, I've created a monster!""I only learned how to do that on Saturday. So while you haven't built up any strength yet it seems you did get all my skill and finesse."
>>24512252"Oho! Seems I managed to transfer THAT part of my TK experience. It's something i learn how to do just recently! Don't abuse it toooo much, kay?"
>>24512321no that's totally what it's used for
>>24512252"...I forgot I could do that.Oh. Oh no."
We should at some point train multitasking. Like, steady tk at the wall while playing chess with Keen.
>>24512354That's a really good idea. Dunno if right now is the best time to do it.>Implying Heather would play chess over FutureCraft
>>24512339But only with consent!
"... I forgot I could do that." You say. "oh... Oh no.""Yesss~" She said, grinning. You felt something grab your chest, give it a few squeezes, and then Rho puffed into smoke again and vanished."... Forgot you could do what?" Manus asked."Oh, right, I completely forgot to mention that." You say. "I worked out tactile telekinesis at some point. I guess it got transferred to her.""Did it?" He asked. "Interesting. I do wish you'd tell me of any new developments earlier, though."
>>24512252"Hey, Manus, can you get some concrete ready? I want to try making another crystal."
>>24512354We, should try walking around with whatever objects we'd normally put in our pockets floating around us with TK instead.
I almost suggested giving tp to Anna, but then remembered what she did.
>>24512393"I'm sorry doc! It's just been so hellish recently. Forcefields with Sarvesh, waking up to a voidqueen attack, rescuing Kat *and* rescuing Alex and Anna."
>>24512393"I really meant to, but things kept coming up. Actually I think it was during the demonstration."
>>24512393"it, sort of slipped my mind, sorry.""i have unleashed a far greater evil than any void queen..."
>>24512393"It was right after I rewrote the mind virus and had the crystal blow up in my face. Lotta stuff has happened since then, ya know? If I make any new developments like that soon, I'll tell you.">>24512401And then Damien nicks our stuff out of the air for the hell of it.>>24512408Are you trying to stir up the hornet's nest or something?
>>24512393<Do you have your Where back, Robin? Be careful if you don't!>
>>24512401That's just tk multitasking. I mean proper multitasking. Multiple powers simultaneously.
>>24512393"It was in the middle of the demonstrations to the council and stuff's been happening non-stop since. I also managed to do TK from a whole system away and worked out some sort of perfect recall ability and that was when I decoded the Void Queen virus. I was kind of on a roll."
>>24512417this, plus; "It's like ever since I came here, my life suddenly became a Trid show."
<Do you have your Where back, Robin? Be careful if you don't!><I'm fine, I'm using TP! I just nudge the walls and everything really lightly, and I can feel where it all is!>"It was in the middle of the demonstrations to the council, and stuff's been happening non-stop since." You say. "I also managed to do TK from a whole system away, and worked out some sort of perfect recall ability, and then decoded the Void Queen Virus." You say. "I was kind of on a roll.""Perfect recall?" He asked. "Can you elaborate on what that is?"
>>24512393"Slipped my mind. What with the demonstrations, Anna, the Void Queen, Kat, and then our trip into Demiurg space.Gimme a break, doc. It's been an intense few days."
>>24512458No leaning on 4th wall
>>24512432Yes, but it also means that we'd be subconsciously using TK at the same time we do other stuff, including Technopathy and Telepathy.
>>24512477This guy's right, that's a load bearing wall. Gotta be careful.>>24512470"I use clairvoyance in reverse, basically, to recall the events of something that happened exactly. It's like having an eidetic memory, only I need psionics to do it."
>>24512470"Sort of like... Imagine if everything, ever, was recorded. I can look at the recordings."
>>24512470"I can look back to events in the past and 'remember' how to do them perfectly or well enough.""I've also seen in to the past using clairvoyance, they might be related."
>>24512470"I guess it's sorta like the opposite of precognition, but with a little bit of telepathy thrown in? I can remember with 100% perfect detail things that I've experienced, but only in bursts and when I consciously do it."
>>24512470"It's like a perfect recording of everything happening!"
Just saying but we should take a tp copy of the ArmaTek data to store in our head. Just in case.
"I guess it's sorta like the opposite of precognition, but with a little bit of telepathy thrown in?" You say. "I can remember with one hundred percent perfect detail things that I've experienced, but only in bursts and when I consciously do it.""Interesting." He said. "Like a... psionic eidetic memory?"You nod. "That's... rather cool. I'm rather jealous." He said, after a second, and he chuckled. "I'll put it on the list with the rest. Can you do it to every memory? Do you think you'd get better at it if you practiced? Or is it something that you can just do, and nothing that skill would enhance?"
>>24512545I don't think we're quite at the point where we can store raw computer data in our head, yet.
>>24512558"I guess I won't know until I try."
>>24512558"I think I could probably get better at it if I practiced, but I mean... with the exception of looking back to see if I can remember stuff from shortly after my birth I don't know how I'd practice it."
>>24512558"I'm not sure. I haven't used it much."
>>24512558"Of all the things, Doctor, you're jealous of looking into the past?"
>>24512603>"Of all the things, Doctor, you're jealous of looking into the past?"perfect memory is a big thing
>>24512619Especially to a scientist.
>>24512619I have to agree, with doing something ONCE in the past, skill wise, perfect, you can always do it again and again and again, perfectlyImagine if she was to look into someone's memory on how to make something that only that person can make, and this using the memory to MAKE IT
>>24512644I don't think we can perfectly recall other people's memories yet. If we combined it with telepathy, maybe we could do it. It'd be something great to show Jilly.
"Well right now it takes quite a bit of effort, so doing it for things that aren't real important isn't very practical. But, I was able to do it with the void spheres to see exactly what it is that I did to make a crystal, so that I could repeat it.You know, come to think of it, this might be something Jilly helped me uh, 'unlock' I guess. Awhile back she helped me retrieve a childhood memory involving Alex. That memory was also how I got suspicious about his origins."
>>24512558"Hmm, maybe if I practiced I might be able to start doing it subconsciously, so I'd even remember things I'd normally forget even happened. Right now I've only ever used it on things I also remember the normal way."
You're quiet for a moment."Of all the things, Doctor, you're jealous of looking into the past?" You ask."Yeah, I would." He said. "I've done quite a lot of things, and I've forgotten most of them. And I also wouldn't have had to spend roughly half my life studying during my teenage years." He said, and chuckled."I think I could probably get better at it if I practiced, but I mean... With the exception of looking back to see if I can remember stuff from shortly after my birth, I don't know how I'd practice it.""Not to mention what you'd get better at about it." He said. "It seems like it's an all-or-nothing thing."
>>24512699"Maybe I could use it to perfectly recall someone else's memories? Or do you think that'd be much different than just regular old mind-reading?"
>>24512699I suppose I might be able to switch viewpoints if I get good enough at it. Remember what someone else was doing at a paticular point in time perfectly. I mean if it does has an aspect of telepathy.
>>24512699"Alex has a theory that everybody is slightly telepathic because his powers seem to disable empathy. Do you think with the virus we could teach you the memory thing?"
>>24512744>"Alex has a theory that everybody is slightly telepathic because his powers seem to disable empathy. Do you think with the virus we could teach you the memory thing?"lets not fry the head doc
>>24512699"Question. What would happen if we tried to use the Technopathy/Telepathy Virus on somebody who isn't a psion?"
>>24512699Now say this:>>24512695
>>24512765Could rephrase it as "do you think we could give normal people powers with the virus". It's a major thing that could completely change society and is worth experimenting on.
"I have a question." You say. "What would happen if we tried to use the technopathy worm on somebody who isn't a psion?""... We're not going to test that until we can figure out enough safety features to put into place." He said. "And... well, we need to figure out the ramifications."You nod."Maybe if I practiced I might be able to start doing it subconsciously, so I'd even remember things I'd normally forget even happened." You say. "Right now I've only ever used it on things I also remember the normal way.""Maybe." He responded. "That's not something we can create a facility for you for, but we *can* give you a journal. Maybe you could write down what you remember now, and then use Perfect Recall and write down what you remember when you're using it."
>>24512803be that as it may I think trying it on the doctor is a risk not worth taking
>>24512826"Sure, I'll give it a shot."
>>24512826"Fair enough, doc. Well, I should probably get going, places to be, tigers to hug, power armour to build."
>>24512826we might want to try and see why we couldn't remember that near car crash all those years back.
>>24512869see if we can go into a technopaty trance to build that mofo!
>>24512826>"... We're not going to test that until we can figure out enough safety features to put into place." He said. "And... well, we need to figure out the ramifications."Seriously, they got pretty lucky that all of the psions they've found so far have been pretty reasonable people, considering the damage one unstable person could do with access to some of these powers.
>>24512826"Any chance I can get some more concrete to crytalise?"
>>24512908Definitely not something to say out loud, but if someone gained Heather's technopathy abilities and level of control, they could destabilize galactic civilization.
>>24512920Yeah, might as well.We did promise to send one to Newt. And we won't be getting nudged this time.
>>24512826"Before I go, is there anything you want me to try doing?"
"Fair enough, doc." You say. "Well, I should probably get going, places to be, tigers to hug, power armor to build.""Alright." He said. "Take care.""Aw, I thought I was going to get some new power." Alex said."Sorry, but it's probably not a smart idea right now." Manus said. "We need to see how Robin develops first, alright?""Sure thing, doc." He responded."Any chance I could get some more concrete to crystalize?" You ask.Manus paused a moment, and sighed. "It's not a given that it will explode again, but... I think it's too much of a risk as of this juncture. Unless you... really, really insist."
>>24513002"Well...we figured out who did it, so it's your choice really. I can be behind some glass if you want."
>>24513002"It only exploded because the VQ nudged it, but it's not like I really need one right now, I just wanted to build another plasma lance to give to somebody."
>>24513002"I do. The only reason it backfired is because Sigma nudged the crystal under the orders of the VQ, as long as everyone has that hunk of stuff that Omni made we'll be fine."
>>24513002"We found out why it exploded, the Void Queen took control of Isaac and made him destabilize it. But we've solved that problem now."
>>24513002are we still feeling the effects of our work on Surya?I really don't want to fry our brains until we are fully healed from that.at least ask the doctor for medical advice.
>>24513002"Isaac said he was the one who destabilized the crystal, while he was being controlled. It should be safe, but I'll take the extra precaution of not immediately bringing it directly towards my body. I could probably even be in another room if you really insisted, as long as I could see what I'm doing."
>>24513002>"Any chance I could get some more concrete to crystalize?" You ask.>Manus paused a moment, and sighed. "It's not a given that it will explode again, but... I think it's too much of a risk as of this juncture. Unless you... really, really insist."It only exploded because of outside interference, and I'll ask Damien before starting, or I can wait until my power armour is done so that I'm shielded from potential Radiation
>>24513002"It's ok, Doc, I know exactly why it exploded last time, it was outside interference. The Void queen got a hold of Isaac during one of his jaunts into space outside the particle emitter that was keeping her away. And used him to mess with the crystal."
Hey guys....if Alex is right, and empathy is a psionic thing, what if it's one of the powers that Void Queen lacks? If that's the case, couldn't we use the virus to give it to her?
"I do." You say. "It only exploded because of outside interference.""... Alright, alright, good point. Keen, get the radiation suits. One in heather's size. Armor plated.""Right." He responded. Some time later, you were in the telekinesis chamber, the concrete in front of you. You were in the bulkiest suit you've ever worn, complete with a big bucket-shaped helmet on your head. You stared through the grilled glass at the concrete, and focused on the two crystals you'd made before. You close your eyes, and reach out...>Roll for crystal creation!
>>24513087being Empathic doesn't stop people from doing all sorts of bad crap to each other, why would it work on an Alien?
Rolled 91>>24513105please don't turn to mush, oh brain of ours
>>24513113We could basically force her to be super empathic.
Rolled 61>>24513105>Doc it'll be fine I swear>Time to get them ones out
>>24513119Praise the crystal lords.
>>24513119Time for SCIENCE!
>>24513119>>24513156remember that we've promised this one to Newt
>>24513197Oh damn, you're right.
>>24513197Buuuuut I want to build a massive ship beam.
>>24513197True, but it doesn't stop us from experimenting with it first.I say we overcharge it and vaporise an uninhabited and unimportant moon or some such.
>>24513209But Newt can help build said massive ship beam with the third one.
>>24513215We'd have to leave UPA space for that. Since all moons within said space are probably either privately owned or nominally under government protection.
Guys, before we give Newt anything I want to patent this crystal. I don't want her inventing something and putting it on the market and leaving us high and dry.
Carefully, with the black sphere, you bore two holes into the concrete block. Then, carefully, you bring it up above the concrete block... and let go.The crystal rang as it hit the concrete bock, and the air around it flashboiled it, fogging up the glass between you and it. Lightning shot downward, channeled into the plating on the floor, and the walls started hissing, pressurizing the room. A few moments later, the hissing went the other way, draining it into a vacuum."Alright!" Keen called. "We just need to put this into isolation until it stops discharging, and then we can give it back to you." He told you, waddling in his own radiation suit with a pair of tongs. He gave you a wave. "Should be good for now. Go ahead and discard your suit over there, and we'll get this crystal to you in a bit."Outside of the telekinesis room was Alex and Jilly, leaning up against the wall and talking to one another. Jilly was very slightly pink, and Alex was laughing and joking about something. "Hey, Heather." He said, with a wave. "How'd it go?"
>>24513205>>24513209It's in thanks for her giving us mighty Helios, god of all engines! And we can always make more.
>>24513232>I... feel I should mention, but Newt's a fugitive.
>>24513243>We can always make more.Yeah, sure, until void queen takes over someone and destabilises it again. We'd be better off giving her the forcefield tech, since that uses stuff she can get in a large quantity.Plus, Anna payed an important favour for that engine. It's not like we need to pay her back.
>>24513250and I guess giving Newt a component to a super weapon is a big no no
>>24513238"Looks like I'll be able to mount a ship based Ion Laser if I can get permission!"
>>24513238"Great, no problems at all. Honestly Alex, what're you saying to poor Jilly, you've made her blush."
>>24513238"no explosions or murder plots this time!""and if everything works out I'll be able to make more cool stuff.">Alex and Jilly look good together
>>24513285Pff ... she'll make ship based weapons for us. I see no issues with this trade.
>>24513318We'll do it anyway and hide it well. Space pirates don't wait for permission.
>>24513275>Yeah, sure, until void queen takes over someone and destabilises it againIt should be impossible for her to learn how the new shields work. And we'll deal with her permanently soon enough.>>24513285Newt's cool. She just didn't get through her pirating days without getting caught like Dad did.
>>24513318>>24513290We could probably get permission if we threatened to leave the institute, or find some dirt on whoever hands out these permission slips with Technopathy. We're a valuable research asset as it stands.
>>24513319We basically work for the government, Newt is a fugitive. If newt sells it, and is used by some other fugitive, it will get traced back to us
>>24513227Well, why don't we ask if there is a moon nearby that we can use to test something.Of course, we'll mention that it may be slightly destroyed when we're done.
>>24513351Don't worry Anon, we're allowed one fuck up.
>>24513347No blackmailing or threatening the institute, a lot of the people here are our friends.
>>24513351She only gets the one crystal. She can't make more. She wouldn't sell something that awesome.Unless somebody else has a massive favor like the one we used to get Helios.
>>24513347Let's try just asking before we resort to blackmail.Actually, let's just not resort to blackmail.
>>24513347bad idea for >>24513374 reasons.
Newt being a fugitive means she can't patent things guys. She'd have to go deal with a government office to do that.
>>24513347You do remember that the director wanted to have us all locked up, right?Do you really want to give the UPA a reason to agree with him?
"No explosions or murder plots this time!" You say."Huzzah!" Alex said."Honestly, Alex, what're you saying to poor Jilly? You've made her blush.""It's rather private, to be honest." He said. "She was just telling me how-"Jilly zapped him with a touch, and he jumped. Then she glared. He just started laughing.
>>24513347Riiiiight, because nothing says 'you can trust me with ship mounted weapons' like extortion...
>>24513411"Good to see you're getting on well."
>>24513411"daww, you two get along so well!">is it time for hanging out with our favorite roommate?>i feel like I'm forgetting something.
>>24513411"Okay, okay, I get it. You crazy kids have fun. I'm going to go find Summer, I promised to spend some time with her."
>>24513384Tellin you, this is going to come back and bite us HARD
>>24513411"Ohhh, you two."
>>24513474We could always make sure that she knows that we will only give it to her on the condition that she never gives it away to anyone.
>>24513474Should have told us before we promised to give it to her.
>>24513474also we like newt and she's a family friend
>>24513474OR, it could make us a friend with connections. She'd be OUR friend, then. Not just someone we're connected to through Anna.
>>24513474I doubt Newt would do something that would make an enemy out of Dragon's daughter, and by extension Dragon.
>>24513525>OR, it could make us a friend with connections. She'd be OUR friend, then. Not just someone we're connected to through Anna.we're also connected through our father
>>24513502We just found out via exabyte, before then, none of us knew. Though the hints should have been enough.
"D'aww, you two get along so well!" You say, and give them both a hug. "You crazy kids have fun. I'm going to go find Summer. I promised to spend some time with her.""Alright, have fun." Alex said. You find Summer lying in bed, tongue lolling open, and there was a ... strange rift along the wall, open to the wind, the trees, and the smell of... some kind of flowers you've never known. The sunset was slowly setting over the horizon, the hilly, grass-covered plains made specifically for frolicing.Summer suddenly jumped, and the rift closed. "Oh, hey, Heather!" She said. "You slept in instead of going to class. How are you feeling?"
>>24513546"Tired, but pretty good! Wanna watch movies till we can't keep our eyes open?"
>>24513542>No, you already knew she was a fugitive. Anna told you before you even went there in the first place.
>>24513546"I'm feeling good, I've been busy today. Ready for movies?"
>>24513542>We just found out via exabyte, before then, none of us knew. Though the hints should have been enough.no we new she was a fugitive before even going to her
>>24513542Anna told us she was a fugitive before we met her.
>>24513546"Much better, and now that I've made sure everyone else is doing okay, the rest of my day is all yours!"
>>24513546"Ready to spend time with my awesome roommate!"
>>24513546"better, was visiting Isaac and Robin, tested out a way to give someone TK on Robin... released a perverted demon on to the station by doing so and made another Crystal without it blowing up!""and now it's time for relaxing!"
>>24513558Oh, I see
>>24513546"Huh, did you know you had rift open while you were asleep?"
"I'm feeling good." You say. "Now that I've made sure everyone else is doing okay, the rest of my day is all yours!""Yay!" She said."Wanna watch movies till we can't keep our eyes open?""Of course."Someone knocked at the door. You looked out through it, closing your eyes, and you saw Sigma there, wearing gloves on her hands."Heather? Summer? Y'in there?" She asked. "Mind if I come hang out?"
>>24513621Look to Summer. <Do you mind if Sigma tags along? It's your day after all.>
>>24513546"Better. Much better, actually. Ready to put the last few days behind me, at least."
>>24513621Should check Summer's cool with it first, since we did promise this day to her, if so: "Sure, we were going to watch some movies."
>>24513621<Up to you Summer. It is meant to be you time.>
>>24513621<what do you think, the more the merrier?>
>>24513621<Your choice, Summer.>
You look over to Summer. <Do you mind if sigma tags along? It's your day, after all.><No, I don't mind.>You pull open the door. "Sure, we were going to watch some movies.""Awesome." She said."The more the merrier!" Summer called."Awesomeer!" Sigma said, and came in. She had a something like a small, skin-colored thin bandage on the bridge of her nose. "What're we going to watch first?""Stupid movies!" Summer called. "There's this one that dad sent me. It's called like, Burrower's Rune or something. Got four out of five on 'Trid now'."
>>24513745>oh boy here we go"y-yeah, sure!"we weren't as prepared for this as we thought.
>>24513745we must keep quiet about it at first.
>>24513745"I... I'd rather not watch that one right now."Not sure Heather could deal with seeing that again, with all the Anna-related connotations.
>>24513745>Stupid movies!" Summer called. "There's this one that dad sent me. It's called like, Burrower's Rune or something. Got four out of five on 'Trid now'."Being Heather is suffering.
"I uh...I've seen that one actually."
>>24513756>>24513780>>24513783no telegraphing, lets see if summer and Simga figure it out
>>24513745"SOMETHING ELSE PLEASE."
>>24513745"Can we watch something else? I just saw that one the other day."
>>24513745don't let on that we've see it before
>>24513745lets watch it
>>24513745"Pfft! Oh, you'll love that one."
>>24513745this should be fun, I wounder when summer will figue it out
>>24513745Time to look all miserable and stuff.
>>24513745let's try not to spoil it for the others
>>24513745if we do end up watching it we should try to keep our mind from wandering to the situation with Anna, this is Summer time and we can't let it sour our movie night.
>>24513745pretend that we've not seen this trid before
"I uh... I've seen that one already.""Have you?" She asked. "Aww, okay, let's find something else. How about... hmmm... Assault on Kerbel Six?""Seen it." Sigma said."Wings of Galval?""Who hasn't seen that one?" You ask."Oh! Oh man! I have a movie here!" Summer said. "Shadow of Titan!""I've never heard of it!" Sigma said."Alright!" Summer said, and put it on.Sitting on your bed with everyone else, the movie started. It was simple- astronauts went out on an early space mission, and got trapped in geosynchrounous orbit between the moon and planet itself, stuck in the dark on low power. This took place in the two thousands, so they hardly had any power...And by the end of it, after the captain set off the reactor to send the rest of the ship home, you and Summer were hugging, sniffling about the heroic sacrifice."The actor there was cute." Sigma said, scritching Summer's ears.
>>24513910we should watch Sunshine next.
>>24513910"what a brave man." blow our nose in some tissues.
>>24513910>Burrower's Runeit's a good choice for the next one, neither summer or sigma have see it, and it was good enough that they should see it. not watching it made summer a little sad. we can look past the fact that it's about us and Anna.
>>24513991I was interested in seeing how that played out.
>>24513991I'm wondering, does Summer even know about Heather and Anna's problems. I lose track of who knows what in this quest.
"Alright you two, I gave it some thought, and...you should see Burrower's Rune. But before you do...you should check who the writer is."
>>24514021no don't spoil the surprise
>>24513991i support it as the next movie, maybe it will help us think.
>>24514021No, we're supposed to be horribly embarrased about this!
"Alright you two, I gave it some thought, and... you should see Burrower's Rune. But before you do... you should check who the writer is."Summer looked down at the personacom. "... Max?!""Let me see!" Sigma said, and looked over her shoulder. "Now we *have* to watch it!""Oh man, that's you!" Summer called. "And anna!""You see that zombie trip over?" Sigma asked. "Funny as hell.""They're totally going to bang after this.""Ion thrust gloves? Really? REALLY?! Come on.""They're toooootally going to bang after this." Summer said again."Ohoho, I know this part didn't happen in reality." Sigma said, as the armed suited soldiers showed up."... They gonna kiss *now*?""More ion thrust gloves? Wait. You can't *pull* with Ion thrusting. That doesn't even make any sense."And then the final scene played. And Summer giggled at you. "I hafta go give Max my compliments sometime."
>>24514120Give a weak smile."Yeah, it's... something alright."
>>24514120"Ah! But you can't leave if I'm hugging you!""Quick Sigma, put on another movie!""Hey Sigma, what's the nose-bandage for?"
>>24514120"He could have asked us about it beforehand, I would have made the science work."
>>24514120"Let's watch 'The Mars Precedent' next! I heard it's based on true events that happened back in the 23rd century."
>>24514120"It was...quite a surprise."
>>24514120>"More ion thrust gloves? Wait. You can't *pull* with Ion thrusting. That doesn't even make any sense."I know right? that's the first thing I said to Max once I got the chance, the second being he should have used Grav instead of Ion
>>24514120"he had to censor and improvise some of the scenes.""it was quite the surprise when i first saw it."
>>24514120God that must've been soo awkward since Anna cheated on us.
>>24514147>"Hey Sigma, what's the nose-bandage for?"Because when you're in the vacuum of space for a prolonged time, all of your 'edges' get frozen first. That means nose, ears, fingers, toes, knees and elbows. She's probably got frostbite. I wouldn't be surprised if her fingers were black.
>>24514204This is why I'm kind of weirded out by how relaxed everyone's responses to it are.Seriously, Heather's got to be feeling at least a little shitty from watching that again.
>>24514204Did not|heather and not|anna kiss in that?If so... yeah.We should be hugging the cat in a minor mixture of fury and sadness.
>>24514238Even if not, we kinda watched it on a date, which should be enough on its own (especially since we only ended up going on two total).
>>24514228if this movie watching happened to previous day we'd have had a problem with it
>>24514221Vacuum isn't cold. You lose a tiny bit of heat through radiation and through any liquids/oils on your skin, in your mouth, anything like that, evaporating, but you don't freeze to death. You die because there's no air.>>24514120Be sad, look down at our feet, try not to cry.
>>24514263Probably not quite as harsh as it would've been yesterday, but it's hard to believe that Heather doesn't feel even a little sad watching it.
>>24514228>>24514238Except, Heather usually buries that stuff under enthusiasm and determination. At least that's my interpretation of the character...
>>24514284>usually TRIES to bury that stuff under enthusiasm and determination. Is more my interpretation. She's failed a fair few times. I'm not saying she should burst into tears or anything, but she's probably going to look a little down.
>>24514284That is also true."You should manifest Lil'Summer! I don't think Sigma has seen her."
>>24514275Well, it all depends if she was in shadow or not. Being in shadow in space is like -200F, in sunlight, +200F, its not so much the lack of air that can kill you, its a mixture of ALL three. If your blood doesn't freeze/boil first, then yes, lack of air will kill you
"Yeah, it's... something alright." You say, hugging Summer tightly. She didn't seem to notice your expression.. "He could've asked us about it beforehand. I would've made the science work.""No, no, it has it's ... charm." Sigma said."Yeah, it does." Summer said."Hey Sigma, what's the nose-bandage for?" You ask."I was out in space without a suit." She said. "And without any pressure. It was not a good feeling. I should be able to take it off before I go to bed, though.""Let's watch the Mars Precedent next. I heard it's based on true events that happened back in the twentythird century!""Come on, the 'true events' movies are always boring." Sigma said."We just watched one, though, and that one was really good!""That one had psionics!""You saying psionics aren't real?" Summer asked."... Point." She responded. You turned on the movie, and watched- it was all about a colony of people moving onto mars, doing all sorts of Science, and then the first, true AI was created. It wasn't a very action filled movie, but very philosophical, about the nature of sapience, of religion, of souls... About what was 'real' and what wasn't.It almost reminded you of Omni, really."... That was... That was something." Summer said. She hugged you tightly. "That was... that was really something."
>>24514349Oh lawd, we avoided talking about how miserable Heather was by switching on a movie that made Summer miserable instead. This movie night has not been a great success thus far.Hug the Tiger.
>>24514349"You like movies about things being real and not real? I think I have another one somewhere...""Hey, you can make awesome not-real things! Lil'Summer is the best.""Ooh! You should make a Lil'Winter!
>>24514312Yes, but there's no convection, it'll take ages upon ages for you to freeze in a vacuum and if there's sunlight you have to be reasonably close for it to make a big difference.Freezing/boiling is so far from a big concern that it isn't even funny. If you were wearing a space helmet with air and pressure you could be pretty much completely naked otherwise and be fine for a long time. >>24514349Give both Sigma and Summer hugs, scritch summer. >>24514533>"Thirteen *thousand* years?" Summer asked, her worries seemingly forgotten. "Did he really spend that long?"from his perspective yes
>>24514533"Well, it was one of those situations where his intellect became so towering that he accomplished in seconds what it took others hundreds of years to do. I think. I don't really understand it.
>>24514533That's what he said. He plugged himself into the supercomputer and when he was done he deleted most of himself to make him back to him again.Oh, guys, I know! We should watch The Island! It's the perfect movie for Sigma
>>24514533"Well subjectively speaking, yes. Though he made himself forget it, he worked out some things he didn't want to remember and didn't want the weight of 13,000 years weighing on him."
>>24514533"Sort of. I think it was that long /subjectively/, and the part of him that lived that long chose to delete itself as soon as it was finished...but that's what it said, yes."
>>24514533"Subjectively, yes. The supercomputer made him experience time much slower than normal. He deleted all of his memories of it though"
>>24514533"Yeah, I knew Omni cared about our friendship, but I guess I hadn't realised how important it was to him until he went through that."
>>24514533"Yeah. He doesn't remember it, but from his perspective he was in that machine for 13,000 years. And that's why this red stuff is anathema to the Void Queen. Nothing will ever be able to fully understand what it is."
>>24514533>i hope this is right."he interfaced with a super computer, with it he accomplished in mere seconds, what normal science would need hundreds of years to develop. >>24514533"He breached the Klimeck limit, and lived for that long, just to make these things."
"Sort of." You say. "He plugged himself into the supercomputer, and it made him experience time much slower than normal." You say. "He deleted all of his memories of it, though."Summer was quiet. "I'mma go find him!" She said, and got to her paws, running out of the room.Sigma just sat there, kind of leaning on you."... I do want to thank you for helping my brother, by the way." She said. "And for telling Robin where I was and saving my life."
>>24514648"That's okay, I'm sorry I didn't realise what was going on sooner."
>>24514648Hug Sigma. "No problem, you're both people I like a lot, there's no way I would let either of you die if I could do anything about it.I'm glad that everyone ended up okay."
>>24514648"That's alright. It was no trouble. It was quite funny when you freaked out the first time I talked to you."
>>24514648"I'm glad we were able to save everyone.""Robin has a new way to perv on people now though.""How are your hands?"
>>24514648"Clearly I'm the protagonist, and this is just what I do."
>>24514648I, ah, may have messed up with Robin since. I gave her TK.The first thing she did was pinch Jilly's nipples.I've created a monster.
>>24514648Giggle, "You might wanna take that back when you find out what I gave to Robin..."
>>24514648Hug Sigma.Nothing can go wrong.Oh, also, "Sorry for taking control of you during the demonstrations, it was an accident!"
>>24514648"It just doesn't occur to me to do any different than that. Heh, now that I think about it, I have been saving a lot of people lately... I just think, I have the power to make things different, why not use it to help, to save people?"
"That's alright." You say. "It was no trouble. It was quite funny when you freaked out when I first talked to you.""Hey, that wasn't my fault!" She said. "I thought you were a telepath, and telepaths were The Bad Guys, and there was nothing I could really do. So I sedated myself."Then she frowned. "If only I could've had that with the void queen.""... And I... ah, may have messed up with Robin since." You say. "I gave her TK.""Yeah, so?" She asked. Then she 'eeped' a moment later."... You've created a monster." She said."How are your hands?" You ask, some time later."These?" She asked. "They're fine. I'm just wearing gloves so I don't touch anything and accidentally mess with them."
>>24514757Hey, hey, touch me!
>>24514757"You should go touch the forcefield machine Omni made! It'll be awesome!"
>>24514757"That's a good idea. You have the midas touch, but with machines.I'm actually surprised Robin hasn't started groping me yet. I'm a rather good groping target person if I do say so myself."
>>24514757"I see, that makes sense."
>>24514786I'm pretty sure she did grope Heather, right after she groped Jilly.

That's not terrifying at all." Sigma lied, as smoke drifted out from one of the air vents.Summer came back into the room, Omnissiah following her, carried in her manifestation's arms."Omnissiah's here!" She said. "What do we want to- eep!- .. What was...""What were you saying?" Sigma asked."What do we want to watch next?"

"Movie time, Omnissiah! Come and sit with us!""Alright." He said, and sat down in your lap."Let's watch something to cheer us all up!" You say, and look through the list... until you find an oldie, but a goodie. The savage, corrupt (and hilariously inept) security force tried their best to combat a wizard who used his magic for the forces of Evil. And by Evil, of course, he meant transforming their clothing into that of clown suits... or making people slip. On top of that was issues with aliens with evil, hooked claws and teeth, outside the station... gardening some sort of alien flowers, while the librarian printed out nothing but the same book repeatedly. The captain had fallen asleep, and it seemed nobody could wake him up, while the only useful person in the entire station was the helpful assistant. At the very end, the wizard was captured by an engineer and the clever station AI.At the very, very end, talking to the bartender, the assistant looked up, after relaying the entire story that had taken place... and then grinned, and said the words. And the bartender was suddenly wearing a bright red nose. And the credits rolled."... Okay, wasn't this thing based off of a game or something?" Summer asked, and you nodded, giggling.
>>24514997"Yup! It's still around too, sort of an underground indie thing."
>>24514997oh man, we need to all play Space Station 3113.
>>24514997"I think so!""Hehe, think we should find it and play it?"
>>24514997"Oh, man! Did you see the clown! And the captain was AFK, I hate when that happens!"Then laugh for a while. It's all in jokes, but Heather finds them hilarious.
>Heather playing SS13>A TECHNOPATH PLAYING SS13Oh dear fuck, she'll be spawning shotguns EVERYWHERE.
>>24515066Play Janitor. All the floors wet themselves.
"Hehehe, I think so!" You say. "Did you see the clown? And the captain was AFK, I hate when that happens!""It is rather bothersome, yes." Omnissiah said. "It annoys me when that happens."You give him a Look."... I exclusively play the AI. I find it rather hilarious." He said. The two of you giggled and traded stories for a short time, before Summer suddenly sat up. "Okay! Next! We are going to! Go... outside!""I'm *not* going outside the station." Sigma said. "That was uncomfortable the first time.""No no." Summer said. "I spent the day working on my universe thingy. We can go in there!"

>>24515095"Oh my god, can we play spaceships! I want to pilot a battleship! With massive Ion Laser turrets!"
"Oh, I'd love to!" You said. "Bikini and Sarong weather?""Well, it's more... fall weather. Or spring weather." She said. "Because I made it for you. Have you ever been outdoors in the spring? They don't have them on Heaven's Jewel, do they?"You shake your head."Alright! Clothing!" Summer said. "You guys need something kind of thick, since it's windy. But not too thick, since it isn't that cold.""Can I wear a scarf if I want to?" Omnissiah asked.Summer blinked at him.The drone laughed.
>>24515248"A great big wooly hat for me and Omni!"
>>24515248"I don't think I own any scarves." Pout.A station jump suit is the opposite of what we want, insulated but not windproof. Do we have anything appropriate?"Summer, you need to Manifest something for me."
>>24515248"Jeans and a hoodie?"
>>24515248"Gimmie the poofiest hat that still quallifies as a hat!"
>>24515248"Oh! Summer, what happened to those two ships you managed to trap?"
"Jeans and a hoodie?" You ask."Yes!" She said. "That's perfect!""I have something!" Sigma said, and made her way out of the room."Oh, Summer, what happened to that ship you managed to trap?""Oh, I got rid of the pilots and sent it back out. It got destroyed like instantly." She said, and pouted."And summer, I need you to Manifest something for me.""Okay." She siad, and focused. A brown hoodie and blue jeans appeared, and you made your way into the bathroom to change. You came back to Sigma in a denim jacket and slacks, and Summer was still her fuzzy self. Omnissiah was wearing a scarf. And then the four of you walked into the rift, and the wind blowed. You were standing on a bluff high up on a hill, verdant grass covering the ground as far as you could see, with forests on either side of the blur. You still smelled those flowers, and the wind was blowing. The yellow sun peeked through the clouds, and Summer grinned up at the sky, and stuck out a tongue- as a drop fell on it."How's this?" She asked."... It's beautiful." Sigma said."Is this earth?" Omnissiah asked."No, this is... partially my home, partially this little planet my mom and I went to- my mom, I, and Winter went to, and partially earth, though I've never been there."

You look up at the sky. You're used to just constant pouring rain, and storms, but never this... aborted rainstorm, where the clouds just floated there..."Wow." you say. "We could have adventures here." You say.. and then you pull up your hood, tuck your hair into it, and throw yourself down the hill, rolling and bumping across the grass. Giggling, Summer and Omnissiah followed.Sigma sighed, and started running down, holding her elbows up to keep her balance.Eventually, almost drenched from the dew in the grass, you lay on your back, staring up at the clouds. Omnissiah, his plating currently bent into a rough wheelish sphere, shot just over you, chuckling...And then Summer lay down next to you, also looking up at the sky.And the wind blowed."Oop!" Sigma said, stumbling, and she went rolling as well.Summer started giggling, and nudged you with her nose."Hey, Heather?" She asked."Yeah?" You respond, looking up at the sky."I'm glad you're my friend."You wait a moment as the clouds part, the sun breaking through- and then you pull the tiger in a tight, tight hug.>End of thread!

Swords are just big pieces of metal, though.">What's your favourite type of machinery?"Favorite type of machinery? That's a weird question. They all have their uses. I do prefer controlling ones that move physically, though, because they're easier.">Noodles or Rice?"They're both good! My boyfriend loves rice, though, so that's what I'm trying to learn to make.">>24515667"... I.. I'd put it at a seven. And shhh, don't tell Heather, but... I helped Max write bits of the sequel of that movie.">Can you pout like Heather and get people to do what you want?"What heather really needs to learn to do is to lean forward and squeeze her breasts together when she pouts.
