The door opens wide on the 3 mutant prisoners, revealing DOOM and an assortment of Doombots. DOOM ignores the snarls of the Wolverine and looks into the ruby quartz covering of Cyclops’ eyes. “Mr. Summers I would like to show you something. Please behave. I assure you that escape is impossible.”
With a wave of DOOM’s hand, the X-Man’s restraints are free, and he follows DOOM, having no other choice. DOOM says nothing through a series of hallways, until a final, last great door blocks their path. “Wolverine has always been associated with unsavory elements. That he was a choice to breach my castle is not a surprise. He has been beaten and formed into a beast that obeys many masters, and part of his obedience training will preclude him from answering any questions.” DOOM waves his hand, and the door opens to reveal a portal to another world.
“You Mr. Summers are not a beast. You are an idealist. That is something I understand. Now go through the portal.” Any hesitation or questioning is cut short by a few curt prods from a Doombot. Cyclops walks towards the portal, and holds his breath before stepping through.
What he sees on the other side takes that breath away. He gazes through thick windows at the vast unspoiled red plains of Mars, wind twisting red dust further than they eye can see.
As DOOM steps through the portal his words are powerful and resonant within the hermetically sealed colony. “This is a new world Mr. Summers. Soon, it will be a haven for all who wish to escape the oppression of the old world. No petty nations. No squabbling politics. No centuries old hatred. This world will be whatever we shape it to be. A second chance. A fresh start. Do you understand what I am offering? Take your time to consider. Now, I ask you, why have you done this? And please Mr. Summers, try not to sully this world with something as distasteful as a lie.”

My proposed course of action:

1. Okay so we have Wolverine and X-23 in the dungeon. Wolverine is free to go when he apologizes to us. Otherwise, he gets to hang out with Deadpool. We should offer X-23 medical treatment and asylum, and promise her that she can live a normal life if she wants to. She can hang out in Latveria proper, or can move to Mars when the colony is done. If she rejects our offer, we should let her go.

2. I don't think we've heard back from Xavier. We've been straight up with him, and Cyclops has probably been talking up the project to him. DOOM shall accept his apology. We still want his support. We can use Magneto to help us convince him if need be. Though that doesn't mean that we won't shame him a little for that little stunt.

3. Martian Magic. Morgan is probably busy starting things up, but we should still both work on researching how Mars impacts the use of magic. If it can help in terraforming, great.

4. So we've found our resources for Martian terraforming, and we're waiting on our shipyard in the asteroid belt to be finished. Once that happens we should start in earnest.

5. How is our intervention in Syria going?

Was a Fantastic Four arc where Doom murdered Valeria (old girlfriend) and used her skin as magical armor. He then mystically captured some of the Richards clan, and told Reed that he could try to beat him at magic.

Basically it undercut the entire character of DOOM and turned him into way more of a sadistic asshole than anyone else had portrayed him as.
