LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24706045/
-----------
Your name is Jake Crocker you are a 15 year old manly man and the proud owner of a Gundam made all the way back during the Colony Nation Wars. You were forced to help track down a mutineer by the name of Grodek Ainoa and today you finally tracked down his ship.

However as the two ships docked and your Captain met Grodek in the middle of the connection shaft between the two ships for negotations, the U.E appeared and you were forced to launch and work with the Diva’s pilots which included your father’s Rival Woolf, the other Gundam pilot and designer Flit Asuno and a more experienced Genoace Pilot Largan Drace.

You managed to succeed in fighting off a wave of 30 U.E mobile suits with no causalities thanks to your teamwork and determination. However just as you thought the battle was over, the real one began. A massive U.E. ship appeared in the distance and a strange rose-red mobile suit carrying your childhood friend Melis attacked, targeting Flit and Carlos with inhuman aggression.

You are currently in the Crusader Gundam wearing the Full Solid Frame and the Anti-Beam Cowl crudely tied around its neck, the memory cloth displaying the Kamina in an attempt to jog Melis’s memories.

Everyone but you, Woolf, Carlos and Flit in a now one armed AGE-1 Gundam are the only ones on the field, everyone else is getting repaired or rearmed.

Melis aims to kill Flit and Carlos. Maybe that virus you intended for the Gundam could work on the suit she’s in?

How will you save Melis Jake?
>>
Keep grappling with Farsia.

"Dammit, I'm not going to fight you, Mellis! What do I have to do if you won't listen to reas-... Ma G! The virus! use it on the red mobile suit!"

Ma G will probably remind you that you'll have to be without her aid for some minutes.

"I can handle it!"
>>
>>24729743
Lets try the virus, since Melis is concentrated on Flit and Carlos. Tell them to stay alive as long as possible while it works its magic.
>>
>>24729827
lets hold off on the virus. the virus might trigger the self destruct
>>
>>24729890
We could ask Ma G if she can ensure that the virus does not trigger the self destruct sequence.
>>
>>24729743
"MELLIS! listen to me try to resist the pain for a moment! Flit! Carlos! your presence is apparently causing her pain fly as far away from her as possible hopefully it'll be enough to dull the pain!" if Flit try to argue we were here to capture them "Mellis is one of my only friends! making sure she is alright is more important than obeying a group of numbchucks who send a team on a risky assignment under equipped!."
>>
>>24729743
Use the power of love,

"Get out of the suit Melis, You promised to go on a date with me! "

Hold on. Do we even know if it can even affect her suit? We designed the virus expressly for the purpose of disabling Flit's Gundam, basing it on flaws in Ma G's security system, and we weren't even sure it could do that. In addition, it's possible that UE suits don't have a way of receiving the virus.
In addition, we're going up against a new mobile suit with unknown capabilities, and sending the virus will prevent us from using Ma G. At the very least, we should ask Flit if we can borrow his AIAND NEVER RETURN IT, thus rendering our mission successful!.
>>
>>24730496

We built the virus to counter flaws in Colonial Wartime mobile suits, which our Gundam is.
The U.E.s are based off roughly the same technology, so we have an okay shot at affecting the Farsia.
>>
>>24730531
yeah but jake doesn't know that
>>
>>24730531
...Did the Vagan even make any improvements to pre-AG technology in the century following the war?
>>
>>24730552

He knows the Gundam is from the Colonial wars, and that MADNUG is an AI from back then, which makes her far and away more advanced than anything from these times. Jake can make an educated guess that if the virus can disable a Gundam, it can disable anything the UEs cook up.
>>
>>24730496

Our mission was to capture Grodrek, not Flit. Besides, his AI doesn't have a core transfer function to our knowledge.

You hold onto the Farsia as tight as your Gundam will allow, even as it thrashes in your grip.

>"Dammit, I'm not going to fight you, Mellis! What do I have to do if you won't listen to reas-... Ma G! The virus! use it on the red mobile suit!"

"If I upload the virus I will not be able to assist you in piloting the Gundam"

>"I can handle it!"

"Beginning virus upload. Estimated upload time, 10 minutes"

You instantly feel the Gundam's handling drop. It's the first time you've properly piloted the Gundam without Ma G helping out and your already having a difficult time just keeping a grip of the Farsia. All you can do is pray that if the virus could work on a Gundam it could work on a U.Q. suit. If it doesn't...

As you struggle to keep Melis in your grasp you hear Dorthy speak over the comm. "That U.E. ship is approaching! It's deploying U.E. Mobile suits in droves!"

"Don't worry, we have reinforcements" Grodrek interrupts over the comms as cyclops like mobile suits begin to fly out of the colony in formation.

"Flit, return to the Diva to get re-equipped, support the Zalam and Euba forces to push back the U.E." he commands.

"But Captain, that boy in the Gundam he's..." Flit hesitates, looking back as you struggle with the Farsia, Melis's feral screams blaring out over the comm channel.

"If the U.E. reaches him he'll be done for. Push back the U.E and stop them from getting that close and he may have a chance to save his friend. " Grodrek explains.

"Yes sir! Vargas, get the new Wear ready for Gundam!" Flit returns to the Diva. Carlos following him.

"Jake? What the hell is going on out there? I'm coming out to help!" Your father calls over the comms.

"No Dad. Everyone should be going to push back the U.E. I can handle Melis!"

"But..." Your father hesitates, hearing your grunts and panting as the Farsia's thrashing gets worse.

"He can handle himself! Just who the hell do you think he is?" Captain Frizzle exclaims.

The Diva and Armstrong pull out of the colony's space dock. Everyone goes ahead to combat the vast swarm of approaching U.E, supported by what appears to be the warring colony factions now working together to fight.

The Farsia rips out of your grip punches the Gundam square in the torso. Your knocked around the cockpit as Melis screams in pain.

"I need it to stop! I need it to stop! Why won't you let me end this!?" The Farsia's chest glows and lets loose with a large scattering beam attack.

You attempt to dodge the massive scattering beam blast but due to the Gundam’s extra weight, the range of the attack and the fact you’re struggling to properly control the Gundam without Ma-G’s help, you take the full brunt of the blast. The Anti-Beam Cowl is vaporized in an instant and the already beaten and battle worn Full Solid Cowl is warped and melted by the intense blast.

The Anti-Beam Cowl protects the head of the Gundam from any severe damage. At first it doesn’t seem so bad, until you try to go into full wing mode for some extra mobility and find the front and back plates have melted together! You can’t open or move the plates to us your arms!

“Melis! Stop this!”

“Shutup shutup SHUT UP!”

Her flower like bits swarm around her and come after you like a swarm of bees as she pulls off the Farsia’s Tail blade and charges you.

Your unable to use your Gundam’s arms, you have decreased mobility and speed due the loose of the thrusters on the Full Solid Cowl and the explosive bolts to detach it aren’t working.
What will you do Jake? There is 9 minutes left on the clock till Ma G is finished.

You begin to fly backwards towards the ships, trying your best to dodge Mellis’s incoming attacks despite having a severe piloting and mobility handicap. You manage to avoid Mellis’s melee attacks, but those remote weapons hit you every time. Thankfully the Full Solid Cowl can still take the precision hits despite being warped and melted to shit.

> "Mellis! It's me! It's your friend, Jake, remember?? I know you're in a lot of pain, but you have got to focus! You're stronger than this!"

“J-Jake? I’m sorry. I don’t want to kill you b-but I need this pain to stop! I can’t think, I can’t breathe, I can’t even speak with THEM still alive without feeling pain. I’m sorry. I’m sorry…”

>"Come on Melis, stop this. You're a good person, sure you may look sort of like a dude, have a nasty temper, and your chest is virtually non-existent. But you are my friend! You promised we would go on a date after I got back!"

“Jake I…” Melis seems to hesitate for a moment, as if she’s going to stop. Suddenly a ‘pulse’ rushes through her body, the image of a Gundam with a glowing blade on the other side of the battlefield flashes into her mind.

“I HAVE TO KILL THEM!”

The Farsia bursts forward, tailsword in hand as it a lunges it towards the head of your Gundam…

You manage to avoid getting stabbed in the face, but the Farsia's tailblade punches through the Full Solid Cowl like a hot knife through butter. Mellis stabs the tailblade into the cowl several times before pulling it out and slashing viciously at the armor. By the time you manage to pull away from her the Full Solid Armor has been cut to ribbons, and Mellis managed to fuck up your Gundam's right arm.

Front Part of Full Solid Armor is gone, back still intact. Right arm heavily damaged. 5 minutes till Ma G is done uploading the virus. You are now close by the Armstrong, what will you do Jake?

>>
Sometimes opening the cockpit works. That would require MC tier plot armor, though.
>>
>>24731659

"You're going to destroy someone that isn't even willing to fight back?? THAT ISN'T THE MELLIS I KNOW!!!"
>>
>>24731985
Stahp.

We don't want her attention abandoning us lest she goes after Flit and Carlos, who is right now killing the UE.

If the virus goes off there, she will become a casualty or recaptured.
>>
>>24731698
You don't know, you can't take the time to check the comms, your too busy with Mellis. Look away for an instant and her bits will be all over you again.

>>24731906
Your armor is mostly gone, your right arm is shot and you still have five minutes left to go. All the while Mellis has gotten closer to the battlefield. Your close enough to the Armstrong that you can quickly recover her, but as far away from the battle as you can get without making it a hassle to recover her, you refuse to allow the U.E. to get their hands on her again.

In an attempt to disable her suit you bolt forward, smashing your Gundams right arm into the Farsia's pedestal which seems to be it's means of propulsion. The arm snaps off, wires and components flying in every direction as the arm dangles from it's socket by a few sturdy cables. The Pedestal seems fine outside of a large dent.

Mellis swings her tailsword down, but you fly up and headbutt her suit. You can hear her yell as she's thrown around in the cockpit.
>"Goddamn it Mellis, let me see you. GRIT. THOSE. TEETH. Fight it, damn it!"

"AGHHHHHHHHHHH!" She yells again and rushes you, but seems to be fighting herself as the swings she makes are half-hearted. You fly backwards, trying to outrun her bits as they quickly surround you.

>>24731710
With four minutes on the clock and Mellis quickly overpowering you, you do the thing you've been trying to avoid.

>"I LOVE YOU MELIS! I want to be with you!"
Mellis's bits stop cold and the Farsia stops, as if mimicking Mellis's own shock.
"L-love?" She asks, her voice quivering.

You open your cockpit and step out onto the door, you heart pounding in your chest for fear of death and your own hidden fear. The truth will set you free, that's what they say...
(Continued)
>>
>>24732055

Good point.
We're in a really fucking tight spot though. We have 5 minutes left, but what can we do?
Since the heavy cowl is off, we can move (one of) our arms again. Thus, we could keep her busy at least. We could add on to it

"If we're going to fight, disengage those laser pods of yours! They're totally OP! We fight here and now. No bullshit. I win, we go steady for a month, you win, I won't ever ask you out on a date again!"

>>
>>24732145
As you step out onto the door of your cockpit you see the Farsia's chest begins to glow, it's charging it's scattering beam cannon again. If it fires you won't survive at this range. You stare at the face of the suit, eyes narrowing/

>"Yes, damn it! You're my best friend! When I was sick, you came over every day to hang out! When you broke your leg that time at training, I carried you to the hospital and visited you every day! Damn it, don't you remember anything?" Who got me into video games? You! Who got you into playing pretend? Me! The Black Devil and the Scarlet Witch are a team, from now till the end of our lives! And now, I need you to believe in me! Believe in me who believes in you! FIGHT IT...and come back home with me"

The cannon continues to charge and you fear you didn't reach her. However slowly the glow begins to dim until disappearing all together. One by one the bits retreat into the back of the Farsia.

"Jake I..." Mellis is cut off as the virus upload timer hits Zero. The Farsia's unusual sensor darkens and the suit goes dead. Hoping back into the cockpit Ma G greets you. Closing the cockpit you take the Farsia in your Gundam's still working arm and fly it back to the hanger.

There a security team and the medical staff of the Armstrong are waiting for you. Coming out of your cockpit, your the one who goes over to the U.E suit and fishes out Mellis, who is shaking and crying in your arms. You hand her over to the medics and follow them to the infirmary. Everyone in the hanger is giving you a slowly clap as you exit, too bad that in the vacuum of space you can't hear it.
"Suit disabled. Pilot still alive. Congratulations"

"The U.E. are retreating! The crazy son of a bitch Don Boyage flew right into their battleship. Didn't leave a scratch but I think Flit just lost his fucking mind, he started cutting U.E. to ribbons in droves!" Your dad calls over the comm.

"Everyone's fine, Arnold shit his pants though!" Carlos announces.

"Shut the fuck up Carlos! I only pissed myself!" Arnold yells back.

The battle is over. You have repelled the U.E. One by one the pilots begin returning to their ships. What do you wish to do now?

(I agree on the beard, that's probably how Jake sees himself in his head, but sadly he just doesn't have that level of manliness yet.)

You go over to the Diva with the rest of the pilots and Captain Frizzle. The crew of the Diva seems quite welcoming despite seeing how odd you look. You’re invited into a comfortable meeting room where your given something warm to drink.

Grodrek, the man who needs to go to prison for you not to, stands before you and speaks.

“I understand the situation you’ve been put in and you have my deepest apologies. However I cannot turn myself in. I have come too far to turn back now. You see I did not take control of this ship out of foppery and whim. At the time the commanding crew planned on leaving everyone on Nora to die at the hands of the U.E. I had to take drastic action, so I killed the men in command of the Nora and made myself the captain.”

Carlos stands up, eyeing Grodek. “So you did kill my father!”

“Yes, but only because he planned on leaving everyone on Nora to die.”

“My father would never do something like that!” Carlos yells in denial.
“He said it himself, right to my face.” Grodek explains calmly. “I assume you want your revenge yes? And I assume the rest of you don’t wish to go to prison? Then you can have your freedom and revenge, but not now. I want you to help me.”

“Help you with what exactly? Why did you take command of this ship if it wasn’t solely for saving that colony?”

“I plan on using this ship to gather enough forces, supplies and intelligence to destroy the U.E’s main base within the Earth Sphere. The abandoned space fortress known as Ambat.”

Everyone’s eyes go wide.

Your response Jake?

Grodek you need all the help you can get for this I would assume, tell me everything you know about the U.E. and Ambat. We'll share what we know when we get more information on them as we have two rather promising leads on the U.E. that we're looking into."

"Flit along with myself ran the data of every U.E. attack up to this point. Using the delays in attacks and the time set between them, the data points to them being housed at Ambat. Ambat was a Federation base that was abandoned after the Colony Nations War. No who has gone near it in the past few years has returned alive. There is a lot of evidence pointing to their base being there and if we attacked it, we would not only cripple the U.E.s advance into the Earth Sphere but possibly discover who they really are. As for the U.E. themselves I know very little outside of there is a little boy working for them, Desil. He seems obsessed with killing Flit for some reason. It's possible to assume the U.E. are vaguely humanoid in body-type."

"I agree. I managed to capture a U.E. suit a while back and another during this battle. The cockpit is absolutely set up for a humanoid type body. Both should be safe to analyze now, maybe that will help us in our endeavors." You explain.

"So are you willing to help me?" Grodek asks.

"Yes. The U.E. need to be stopped and you seem like a man who sticks by his word. Once this is over we'll take you into custody, however until then we'll do what we need to to make sure Ambat burns" Captain Frizzle states.

"Thank you. With your help this will be much easier."

"My plan is simple. To gather enough forces and supplies to launch an assault on Ambat and stop the U.E. before they spread. Those mobile suits were from the colony, they are the Euba and Zalam factions there. Flit managed to talk them into cooperating with one another and joining. Since you will be joining us we will offer any supplies we can, however when it comes to the Gundam and the AGE Builder, Flit is in charge. You'll have to get his permission if you want to use it." Grodrek responds.

"Once we pull the logs off those U.E. mobile suits we'll put together a more detailed outline of the plan. We'll be sticking around Fairdain for a while, so you guys should jest up and get some R&R." Captain Frizzle explains.

You mention that some pirates owe you a favor and Grodek says he'll keep that in mind. Once your dismissed the other pilots, save for your Dad return to the ship.

You decide to find and talk with Flit to see about utilizing all the data you’ve collected, checking out the U.E. suits and maybe even getting to look over his Gundam and use the AGE Builder. After a few minutes of searching you find him in the hanger with the other mobile suits, running some tests on the Gundam and looking a little upset.
“Hey, it’s me again!”
He turns around and looks at you. He doesn’t smile or frown, he’s not sure what to make of you yet.
“Your Jake right? The other Gundam pilot? Thank you for helping us fight the U.E, I’m sorry about your friend” Flit reaches out a hand which you happily shake.
“No problem. Mellis is going to be OK, now that she’s safe on the Armstrong. Listen Flit I came here to talk about Gundam…”
Flit looks back at his Gundam in confusion.
“What about it?”
“No, no. My Gundam. God damn it, there’s two of them now aren’t there? Well what’s the designation for your suit?”

“AGE-1”

“Well mine will be AGE-X, or the Crusader Gundam. Either way, I wanted to see if you could look it over and help me repair it.”
“I’d like to take a look at it if I could. It’s supposed to have been made by my family a long time ago, maybe there’s something I can learn or unlock about its design. It’ll take a while though, I’ll probably have to disassemble the suit completely.”
“That’s no problem, as long as you put it back together of course. Also, you think maybe I could use the AGE Builder? From what I read of your essay on it, I think I can be applied to a lot more than just your Gundam.”
Flit puts a hand to his chin. “Well…I don’t know…”
“OK then, I’ll sweeten the deal. I’ll let you take apart my Gundam and I’ll give you the data I’ve collected over my time as its pilot. In return I get the data on your Gundam and I get to play around with the AGE Device. Ma-G can transfer the data now if you want.”
(Continued)
>>
>>24734398

“An A.I? Did that come from the Gundam? How did yo-Sure!” Flit, upon hearing Ma G speak became pretty excited. You help with the transfer of the two U.E. Suits and the bashed up Crusader Gundam. As Flit and the Diva’s engineers work on extracting the data and analyzing the suits, you get to play around with the AGE-1 and the AGE Builder.

The final part of the Battle of Fairdain. Farsia Rose vs Crusader Gundam Mellis vs Jake. The Power of Love and Friendship. Or is it just friendship? No one can really decide.

You hop inside the cockpit of the AGE-1 and check out the cockpit. It’s a more modern cockpit, but it’s somewhat similar to the AGE-X’s cockpit. You see a little groove that’s exactly like the one in your Gundam. Taking out your cellphone you slip it into the groove and the mobile suit activates.

“Holy crap! Ma G you can work with this Gundam?”

“Numerous drivers are not responding and a few errors have occurred, but yet.” Ma G replies.

“Think you could do a comparison between the AGE-X and the AGE-1? I’m gonna check out the AGE Builder”
“Affirmative. Commencing analysis.”

You leave the cockpit and begin looking through the AGE System’s Build files. You see schematics for
-----------------
-Beam Daggers
-Gundam Shield
-Spinning Beam Lance (the Pizza cutter Flit used)
- "Drill-Orbital Discharge System" (DODS) Rifle
-Titus Wear
-Spallow Wear
----------------
However those are only the self-generated schematics. In theory you could input any data and reverse engineer it. Another AGE-1, a Genoace, fuck even another AGE Builder. Going back to Ma G you find she is finished.

AGE-X:
-Better Armor
-Better Melee Capabilities
-More Durable Frame

AGE-1:
-More Maneuverable
-Higher Overall Speed
-More Adaptable

Overall each has their strengths and their weaknesses. But the AGE-1’s ability to be easily modified and adapted is a pretty powerful one compared to the AGE-X.

You make a note to check on Mellis soon, but you want to try out some stuff. What do you want to try building with the AGE Builder? You have the Data from the AGE-1, all the combat data you’ve collected up to this point and the Data from your own Gundam.

What will you do Jake?

Make something like the Back Weapon System for the AGE-X like the Re-GZ has. Kickstart variable mobile suit technology. Shouldn't be too much of a stretch from the solid cowl.
>>
>>24734673
Compare the schematics of the two and see if we can somehow take some of the qualities from and combine them to create a new gundum design. Ask Ma G to combine them into one design and run simulations to see how it performs.
>>
>>24734673
Let's try something simple. The DODS rifle seems like a good start, and it would be a fine backup for if you run out on the crossbow.
If you can find a way to design a new cowl, that would be good as well.
>>
>>24734759
You have a lot of ideas on what you want to do. More Cowls, New Cowls, maybe some of those awesome Rifles and some weapons off that 'Spallow'. Fuck you have so many ideas you don't know where to stop! So you decide to make it so you can test out these ideas yourself.

You decide to have the AGE Builder builder another AGE Builder, or considering the size the parts to make another AGE Builder.

After putting in all the data and modifying some of the settings the AGE Builder get to work. It takes half an hour, but slowly the AGE Builder begins pumping out parts. You begin to piece the thing together bit by bit, in Zero-G it's pretty easy. Soon you have another AGE-Builder sitting beside the other one. After copying it's programming you port it to the other AGE builder and soon it's fully operation.

Well, now that we've got considerably more production capability, let's get to work on repairing the Crusader. Check with engineering to see what parts we already have in stock, then build the remainder.

On the other Builder, we should set it to analyzing occupy it for a while, but it potentially has some magnificent results if it works. Stronger, lighter armor; improved thruster systems; the beam vulcans/sabers... There's a lot of nice tech to acquire. I'd say let the human techs go over the Farsia for now until we're sure it's disarmed of any self-destruct systems or other booby traps.

After the Builder working on the repairs is done, I say we look into building some DODS rifles for the Genoaces. Flit did that in canon, anyway, so it shouldn't be that time or resource consuming. Only once that's done should we look into upgrades for our own mobile suit. I like the idea of adding the Spallow's dagger as a backup weapon. Maybe see if the Titus's armor has any application for the Solid Cowl.

I would like the wings, upon opening, to be capable of firing a barrage of lasers as some kind of devastation attack. We need one of those.
>>
>>24734742
(Oh missed this)
The limits of the AGE Builder is the resources it has and the program. The program can self generate weapons for the Gundam and if properly programmed, other units. However this takes a while meaning you'll end up having to make your own designs if you want something in less then a week. It uses base elements and forms them into whatever it needs. At the moment you have enough material for two AGE Builders to build a lot of stuff, but building a third will spread the materials very thin.

>>24735146
You decide to start with parts for your own Gundam. You check with Flit as he's taking it apart and ask what's broken. He gives you a list and you start having one of the AGE Builders start cranking out parts. You see the Diva's engineers, along with some of the Engineers from the Arm Strong begin to analyze the "Gafran" as they discovered the damaged the U.E. suit was called. The "Frasia" is being disarmed, but after doing it once they can do it in a 1/4th the time.

You look through the available weapons and decide to make a few "DODS" rifles for your buddies on the Armstrong.

After 2 hours you have 10 DODS Rifles and plenty of spare parts for the Crusader Gundam. You have them shipped over to the Armstrong while you try to make something original.

You have enough materials for two big projects or four little projects. You could try to improve the existing cowl design you have with the data from the Spallow and Titus Wears, or you could try making a copy of the AGE-1 to see if that's even possible. Your limited by the data you have and the materials, you wish you could build something awesome like energy wings or a barrage weapon, but your limited in what you can do, but that's still a lot.

So, What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24735248
In that case we wouldn't need rifles. Mass bombardment means we can afford lower accuracy. Let's just take the beam spray guns left over after we arm the Genoaces with DODS rifles and put them in the wings.
>>
Before anything else let's scavenge the U.E.s for materials.

You decide that maybe making another Gundam is a little too much of a challenge at the moment. You decide to try and improve the existing Cowls and develop a new cowl. Using the Data from the Titus, you find a better material and overall structure for the Full Solid Cowl. You also improve the strength and speed of the motors that move the plates around. Enhancing the thrusters for greater speed and maneuverability is easy. However you realize the defensive and offensive abilities of the “Beam Emitters” the Titus uses and install them into the plates themselves. This allows you to preform devastating tackle attacks and if you turn off the limiters you can use the beam emitters all at once for a short period, giving you enhanced protection and throwing out enough beam energy to allow you to ram through a hoard of enemies unscathed.

You have created the FULL TITUS COWL

You mess around and manage to make a Back Weapon System. It’s pretty damn large and clunky, roughly the size of what a space fighter would be. It fits over the back of the unit, the Gundam’s arms and legs are hidden underneath and it acts like a fighter with additional thrusters, engines and weapon mounts. However you can’t use the Gundam itself while it’s attached and on top of that once you separate from it, you can’t reattach it in combat. It’s interesting, but it’ll need a lot of testing to see if it was worth it.

You have created PROTOTYPE BACK WEAPON COWL

You use the last of the material in your AGE Builder to make a Recycler. Feed it MS parts and it breaks them down into raw material for the AGE Builder. You have everything you made, including the second AGE Builder sent back to the Ship.
Flit approaches you, amazed by what you accomplished.

“You have to promise me something Jake. NEVER let anyone but you and me know about the Data on our Gundams or give away another AGE Builder. Normally I wouldn’t even let another person look at my Gundam, but considering you own a Gundam I believe I can trust you."

"No catch. We give Madorna our old suits and he gives us new ones. He gets more suits to mess with and gets to test new ideas out on our suits."

"Let me uninstall the XM3 OS off them first, then we can get going. Mind if I come?"
-------------------
You, Dad, Ralphie, Tim, and Arnold Arrive at the Madorna Workshop after you pulled the XM3 OS's off their suits. Your sure you'll be able to mod the OS to their suits again, trying it on different suits will allow you to improve on it.

You decided to leave the Gundam back at the ship to prevent anyone nosey from taking a peek inside, you rode with dad.

Dad and the other talk with Madorna, he happily takes their suits and leaves them to write out what kind of suits they want to have.

Dad has already decided, he wants a customized G-Exes suit to his own specifications, the others however aren't so sure. They want the suit to be customized to their roles/strengths, but they don't know what to pick or what to ask for.

Arnold wants- A Long Range Sniping Unit
Tim wants- A Support Unit of Some kind
Carlos wants- High Mobility but Balanced suit that has good reaction time
Ralphie- A well armored, melee oriented units.

Available Base Frames
RGE-B790 Genoace
CMS-B/67 Shaldoll
CMS-328 Desperado
WMS-GEX1 G-Exes

Your suggestions?

http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/age/index.htm

suit info here
>>
>>24736889
Well, for base frames I suggest Shaldoll or G-Exes. Genoace is what we have now and the Desperado is a civilian worker suit unsuited for combat.

Arnold would probably want something like the Solid Cowl to give him some protection when sniping. It's not like he needs that wide a range of motion, so let's go full-on Dynames.

For support Tim should have some enhanced sensors for long range spotting and maybe even stealth-negation. Maybe add in some light suppression weapons or even a missile launcher deploying anti-beam chaff.

Carlos should definitely go for a G-Exes derivative. He could probably do just fine with the base model with the DODS rifle for ranged weaponry.

Ralphie's suit should, as he said, have good armor. Maybe an explosive bolt system to let it shed quickly in case of a need for rapid retreat. The G-Exes' beam sabers would make a good main weapon, and some arm and leg mounted heat spike for extreme close range brawling could be a nice supplement.
>>
>>24736889
Carlos gets shaldoll
Ralphie gets Desperado armored to hell and back(slap on our full solid Cowl as well)
Arnold gets G-exes styled for sniping make it medium armor so he can afford to take a hit(counter sniper) and dodge still
Tim is tough we can either give Genoace or G-exes as well.

Desperado is right out.
We're running Genos.
Shaldoll is an excellent, well armoured suit for all purposes that we can mod a lot. (Ralphie, Tim)
G-Exes is a mobility and precision focused suit and are probably pretty damned tuned to begin with. (Carlos, Arnold)
>>
>>24736889

We can make it so that our gear for the Gundam can be used by him too. Including the Titus set.

Madorna will want something in return for a Mega Beam Launcher, that this is worth a mobile suit. You have no money, which is what ingots would cost. You could trade him something for it, but what?
>>
>>24737468
Probably would want to run it by Flit. He didn't specifically mention the recycler, but it's based on the AGE Builder's tech, so he might not want to risk someone reverse-engineering it.
>>
>>24737506
Halloween came early this year!

I personally think a Mega Beam Launcher wouldn't be altogether necessary unless we end up facing something big and slow later, and we seem to have no problem taking those on with Excalibur.

>>24737506
Trade him data on Vagan MS.

>>
>>24737534
The Recycler actually isn't all that special. It's advanced but it won't compromise the AGE Builder. It's just a very nice machine that can break down objects into it's base materials. Flit didn't design it, you did, you just built it using the AGE Builder to save time. Madorna would probably give you the specs for the Mega Beam Launcher

Yeah, those look good. My only concern is that the beam emitters on the Melee Custom aren't cited as being our addition, which implies Madorna has access to that tech. Where'd he get those? Are they just generic beam emiitters and not the high-power ones the Titus uses?
>>
>>24737568
Pretty much this.
Giving him all the data on two Vagan MS we captured plus some combat data on even more, should pay for everything.

>>24737506

We can trade that data for the cannon potentially.
>>
>>24737583
>>24737617

I think it would be worth it. we might even be able to merge it with the bit system... while it would be a lot slower than the normal bits and probably replace all of them, It could be worth it for the power it has...
>>
>>24737629
I forgot the citations for the beam emitters. Madorna just provided the basic frame and left the spots for all the 'sensative data' related areas hollow for you to work on.
>>24737568
>>24737660
Madorna is willing to give you Mega Beam Launcher Specs, a Mega Beam Launcher and 50 Material Ingots for the Data on the Frasia and Gafran

Dad says that Madorna doesn't work for the Federation, but he's a good man. He mostly a neutral party however. So you don't have to worry about the U.E getting it, but if Federation customer or a civilian customer are interested the data, he'd sell them a copy. As long as they aren't U.E. he'll sell to anyone, unless they obviously mean ill intent.

Well, shit. Is it really okay to release pre-AG tech to the public like this? I think there are some moral considerations to take...

Plus, when the Feds eventually come after us, do we really want them to have UE tech? Ah, fuck it. We can take on UEs with relative ease anyway. I say do it.

UE tech getting out a generation earlier than in canon. Fuck yes, let's break the universe.
>>
>>24737867

it's doing things like this that help break meta knowledge.

Also in agreement for doing this trade. Flit only wants us to keep the Gundam stuff private. UE stuff is all swings and roundabouts...
>>
>>24737786
Let's do it.

>>24737867
Considering that We and the UE are walking Silver Chalice treaty violations?
This'll just put everyone on even ground, save us and Flit, and that's a good thing in my book.
>>
>>24737975
Hell, we are technically a Federation unit ourselves. Any data we collect is probably going to wind up getting back to them eventually. We might as flip them the bird by making this available to the private sector, too.

You accept the trade and haul the suits back to the ship. By the time 11:30 PM rolls around your teammate's (and father's) new suits are full completely ready for combat. You set the Mega Beam Launcher in the hanger to look over later and loaded the Material Ingots into your AGE Builder.

>>24738260
(yeah he has one, I forgot to mark that down though)
It's late, but you still have time to go scrap hunting if you really want. Repairs on the Crusader Gundam are finished.
What will you do Jake?

(Also the pic is what the Back Weapon system looks like. It'd work well on your Father's J-Exes)

You go over to the Diva via the connection bridge and find Flit doing some late night tinkering one what looks like another Gundam, looks like he decided to try that suggestion of your about the AGE Builder.

"Hey Flit! Did you find anything about my Gundam?"

He glides down from the Gundam and lands near you.
"Well I found a hidden processor unit that was detached from the rest of the systems. It's called a "SENTINEL SYSTEM".

"Awesome! What does it do?"

"I have no idea"

"Excuse me?"

"From what I can tell it's meant to allow the on-board interface with specific but diverse devices, probably Pre-AG security or weapon systems. I believe the Gundam was meant to serve as a kind of Guardian for the Colonies considering it's performance to weapon ratio"

"So what your saying is that my Gundam has a system that allows it to interface with Pre-AG weaponry and equipment?"

"I believe so. I have no way of properly trying my theory, but that's what I think"

"No explosive fingers or hidden vector cannons?"

"Uh, not that I saw..."

"Crap. Oh well, this Sentinel System seems interesting. Well I'll see you later Flit"

You return to the Armstrong.

>>
>>24738660
No. It's not a funnel control system, it's something else. It's meant to help Ma G communicate with other Pre-AG Deives and help those other devices identify the Gundam and the A.I onboard. Why? You have no idea.

we need to test out the BWS Cowl some when... we also need to work on miniturizing the Mega Beam Launcher, creating the custom parts and OSs for the squads new MSs... not to mention tinkering with Mellis's suit... hell, we could try and use our Virus program to get information on what they did to her to help speed up the fixing of the problem...

You do pretty well. It's be a while after the battle and most of the scrap has drifted around. On top of that you find that when the U.E. Suits explode they don't leave a whole lot behind.

After an hour or so of collecting you come back and recycle all the material into ingots, getting about 25 or so.

You visit Mellis in the infirmary who is fast asleep still, but seems a lot more at rest. He kiss her on the forehead and crawl into bed. Things are finally starting to look up. You have custom suits, the Diva are your allies and everything. You have a lot to do in the morning and so much time to do it. Things can't get any better!
--------------------
"Mass Production of the Defurse is on schedule." A cloaked figure states, somewhat proudly. "8 should be present for testing at Ambat within 2 weeks"

"Excellent. What about Desil's new Zedas? Is that ready yet?" A mask man asks.

"Not yet, we're still making adjustments for the cannon, but it will be ready within the next few days."

"Good. He's been in an uncooperative mood since he lost his 'toy'. That Artificial X-Rounder proved to be a waste after all.

"She'll die from her implants within the next 2 weeks anyway, without the proper adjustments we were going to make they'll kill her."

"That's good to hear, no loose ends. I want you to start deploying the oov-d Abigel and those advanced Gafran and Baqto models you wanted to test. Our defeat at Fairdain showed us we cannot be liniate with technology when it comes to the Earthers any longer."

>>
>>24739077
8 Defurses. Fuck. At least Dozle Zabi would approve. And Mellis will be dying around the time we run into them. Well, the battle at Ambat should be properly dramatic. Here's hoping they have enough documentation on her surgeries at Ambat that we can reverse them. Whatever goes down, it looks like the next few threads are going to be quite interesting. Good showing, Crosswire.

For those unfamiliar with AGE, the Defurse is the Advanced Generation equivalent of the Big Zam, and the final boss of Flit's arc of the series. So I guess we're going to pay a price for nipping Desil's Farsia shenanigans in the bud.

There is still the chance that we could convert our override virus to allow data extraction from their cloaked ship. It may have some information in regards to her condition. We know that they did something, so IC, we could legitimately suggest a small 'recon in force' mission to try and extract the relevant data...
If things go acceptably, we could find out what kind of procedure was done, allowing us to have a starting point to spring-board ideas from. The more data we can steal, the greater the chance of getting it sorted quickly and safely...

>>24739293

That's fair, though unless we see her condition worsen, we're likely to trust the doctors aboard the Armstrong.
After we see her get worse, then we can think to do this.
