4. Armory quartermaster: Drone tail
5. Shipmaster: Praetorian Mouth
6. Archivist: Synthetic head.

Having made up your mind in how to distribute your trophies, you return to your domicile and sleep.

You awake the next day. You check your wrist computer for messages. Your mentor informs you that the moot has made a decision, but they will still spend all of today to discuss the details.

You have a long day ahead of you.

Do you:

A. Visit the space port and examine your new ship.
B. Visit the training grounds receive infiltration lessons from your mentor.
C. Visit the Cloud-Viper armory
D. Take a shuttle to Clan Night-Prowler's armory.

I want to learn some of the finer points of infiltration so that we have a better idea of what stealth system to get from the Night-Prowlers.

You charter a seat on a shuttle bound for Clan Night-Prowler territory and disembark at their space port.

You make your way to their armory building and are stopped immediately by a pair of Night-Prowler guards.

"Halt!" one of them barks. "This is Night-Prowler only territory. You have no business here."

How do you respond?

A: "I am here under permission from your Matriarch."
B. "Your matriarch owes me a debt of honor. I am here to collect."
C. "Is this how the Night-Prowler greets its guests? Check with your matriarch. I have every reason to be here."

"I am here under permission from your Matriarch," you answer.

"At ease. He is expected," a voice booms over the intercom.

The guards part, and allow you in. You are greeted by the Night-Prowler quarter master, an ancient-looking female, who escorts you in.

She looks you over. "Well, here you are. The first outsider to grace my armory in decades."
She points to an arms locker by the entrance. "Leave your gear by the door."

With that, she bids you to enter the armory.

You enter, and take a brief tour around the area, and decide most of the Night-Prowler gear is inferior or equal to your own, aside from two major categories.

>>
>>24778370
>>24778381

You examine their vision masks. Two particular models take your interest. Both are on par with your current mask in terms of processing speed, range, and scanning power.

But the first contains a built-in holographic emitter which allows you to project a realistic 3d holographic model of your choosing anywhere within 50 meters of yourself, provided there is a clear line of sight for the mask to fire its beam.

The second model contains a built-in stealth field emitter which allows you to cloak any object similar in size to yourself within 50 meters of you.

Do you:

A. Take the mask with the holographic emitter

C. Take neither

>>
>>24778568
>>A. Light armors

You examine several pieces of light armor, and two catch your attention.

One piece of light armor boasts a stealth system which draws almost no power when active, and can achieve levels of stealth similar to what you currently have. But the armor is marked as prototype, and is not yet field tested.

The other light armor boasts an on-board scrambling system which constantly intercepts incoming radar and EM beams and jams them to makes the wearer almost invisible to most scanners, human or otherwise.

Do you choose:

A. The super-efficient stealth suit
B. The jammer suit

>>
>>24778783
That gear isn't ours to give though. I was thinking of reserving one of our trophies to give to this quartermaster to smooth our the bumps a little but it's a bit late for that.
>>
>>24778700
B. more guaranteed to be useful.
>>
>>24778732
>>24778736

You take the jammer suit off its rack and put it on. It links instantly to your wrist-computer and a host of options begin to scroll across the holo-screen.

For the most part, the jamming sequence seems to be automatic, but you're able to fine-tune it to be effective against particular spectrums, such as radar, lidar, particle scanners, and E/M scanners.

You're not certain if this can be used to spoof hard-meat vision, but perhaps you can ask your own quarter master to take a look and offer some suggestions.

Next, you move on to the spearguns.

Two models strike your fancy.

The first has a built-in magnetic beam along which the projectile "rides". With this, you're able to guide the munition mid-flight, and make extremely accurate shots even against moving targets.

The second model contains an attachment for a zipline, which allows you to attach a strong tether to the next projectile. With it, you're able to use the speargun as a grapple gun or even a harpoon gun.

Do you choose to take:

A. The magnetic-guiding speargun
B. The tether projectile speargun
C. Neither

B
>>
>>24778889

>>B. The tether projectile speargun

You take the tether projectile speargun from its rack and rest it against your shoulder. The switch to attach the tether to the chambered shot is easy to access and quick to flip. It sits close enough to the handle that you're able to do it one-handed if need be.

You take the three pieces wargear and bring them to the Night-Prowler quarter master.

She eyes you and your gear with suspicion.

"Very well. I don't like it, but what can I do? Take it. Night-Prowler has plenty more in stock. When you make your next kill, remember which clan provided the tools."

With that, she bids you to leave. You collect your old gear from the arms locker and take the shuttle back to Cloud-Viper territory.

>A. Visit the space port and examine your new ship.

You make your way to the space port and ask the port-master to show you to your docking bay. You enter the code given to you by the ship master. The hangar doors slowly open to reveal a large ship - several times larger than your previous one.

You immediately notice the two large plasma cannons jutting out from the prow. Four more pop-up plasma turrets are arrayed along its back.

You walk around to its rear and find the entry ramp to be open. You enter, and find a copy of the ship's layout left for you by the ship master. You upload them to your wrist computer.

The ship has 3 decks. You are currently on deck 3.

Do you:

You inform the ship-master that you will continue to use its old namesake, "The Phantom Hammer", in honor of your father. The ship-master gestures acknowledgement.

"Very good. 'The Phantom Hammer' it is."

She thumbs through several pages on her holo screen and comes across a large spreadsheet.

"There are still some funds left over from the renovation effort, and the Executrix has asked them to be transferred straight to your account. The sum totals 72000 credits. I am transferring them to you now."

(You now have 74000 credits in your account).

"I would suggest you seek out some technicians at the market to take a look at your new ship." She takes a look at the praetorian mouth. "Well, because this is such a nice gift, I'll have it arranged for your sensor systems to be upgraded, free of charge."

"Night-Prowlers. Well, I never liked them much, and I'd imagine they're in a sour mood right about now."

She eyes you shrewdly.

"Well, regardless, that's an interesting set of war gear. You don't suppose I could take a brief look at them?"

Do you answer:

A. "Yes, go ahead. I shouldn't give them away, but I never said I wouldn't let others examine them."
B. "Apologies, Quartermaster, but I shouldn't. It would be against the spirit of what I agreed with the Night-Prowlers."
>>
>>24780198
Diplomacy, no. But the fewer people we have hating our guts the better. Making amends for past transgressions at a frontline level is the most important part of any healing process.

The clans need to be united, or at least not fighting as much. Having a couple of friendlies in the opposition is always good.

She asks you to choose one.

A. Expando tip - This tip violently expands via high pressurized plasma to release a large amount of heat and force within the victim.
B. Electro-tip - This tip releases a large electric shock when triggered, and can bring down even the largest beasts.
C. Extended Blade - This tip allows the extension of a half meter long mono-mo blade to increase the reach and length of your combi-stick.

You take the expando-tip and the trigger mechanism and fit it over your combi-stick. The quarter master shows you how to activate it, and you're satisfied with how it operates.

You move on to the specialized munitions.

The quartermaster shows you several choices for speargun projectiles, and asks you to select one to be stockpiled aboard your ship.

A. Explosive spears - small spears which detonate with a concentrated plasma explosion on contact.
B. Armor-piercing spears - highly dense spears designed to penetrate the thickest armor.
C. Tracking spears - light-weight and thin spears which relay its position directly to your mask system, allowing you to track prey across long distances.

While I think it made sense to visit the armory for stealth-related improvements before going through infiltration training, I think we might do well to learn from that training before visiting the market.

Also, I think we ought to spend at least some of that 72000 credits on enhancements to the ship, not personal equipment.
