Last time on GUNDAM AGE QUEST!: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Gundam%20AGE%20Quest

You are Jake Crocker and you managed to just talk a Pre-AG A.I Controled mobile armor into releasing it's captives and not destroying the colony!

You have 2 weeks to prepare for the invasion of Ambat and the three sub-facilities surrounding it. With Mellis in the care of an X-Rounder research facility you can now focus on the tasks as hand.

What will you do Jake?
(I have to mow the lawn, so I won't reply for a good twenty minutes)
>>
SCREEN THE PEOPLE LEAVING THE SHIP FOR UE INFILTRATION. THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO NIP A CANON ISSUE IN THE BUD WITHOUT NEEDING THE VIRUS PROGRAM.
>>
>>24785681
Time to start stacking the deck in our favor. See what info the AI has about anti-beam measures. Given the other bullshit tech floating around, shield-mounted I-Fields like the Unicorn or attachable I-Fields like the V2 Gundam are plausible. Work with Flit, the engineers, and the colony to outfit our forces with DODS rifles, beam sabers, anti-beam cloaks, and I-Field shields. Even if we can't make I-Field shields the cloaks, sabers, and rifles should cut down on casualties. Make a few more Ballistas and Mega Beam Launchers to outfit a heavy weapons unit. They could take out any ships or fortifications while we deal with the MSs.

Acquire parts to finish the data miner and work with MaG and the AI to finish coding it. See if we can network our simulators with other ships to get everyone used to working together. Jake and most of the pilots aren't used to working in larger units.
>>
>>24785895
This sounds good.
>>
>>24785895
After what's happened, your pretty damn sure Alzack Birmings will agree to fund your mission now. You'll start making preparations to upgrade your forces once you get the money and materials to do so.
>>24785711
You make your way to where the 'Blimp' had landed to make sure everyone was getting off alright. Carlos, Time, Largan, Arnold and Ralphie follow you. There's only one way off the 'blimp' and that's a small stairwell leading off the blimp similar to a jets.

It takes a while for everyone to get off, but your glad when you see Flit, some purple haired girl, Grodek, Captain Frizzle and the others get off along with all of the people from town.

Your about to get out to check up on them and ask them what happened, but then you see someone that catches your eye.

A little red-headed boy around 6-7 at the most. You don't know him, but he sounds awfully like the boy Flit mentioned and the kid who knocked Mellis out...

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24786394
* nudge Groedek* See that kid there? Mellis and Flit mentioned someone like that. In particular Mellis mentioned him knocking her out.
>>
>>24786394
Ask the AI if he can identify the boy from colony records while you keep an eye on him. Alert your comrades and Flit. Work with them to capture the twat for interrogation.
>>
>>24786525
Also keep an eye on him.
>>
>>24786394

Call Flit, send him a picture of the kid. Then ask him if he looks familiar.
>>
>>24786394
Capture and question him!
>>
>>24786547

This. We don't really know if he's Desil IC, so a quick check shouldn't be out of line.
>>
>>24786582
>>24786551
>>24786547
>>24786525
"Ma-G, can you access the colony's records to see if that boy is a resident or vistor here?"

"Searching...No matches found. That boy must have entered the Colony via a non-monitored enterance"

You call up Flit and send him a picture of the kid, ordering Carlos and Arnold to watch him.

"Flit? Do you know this kid?" You ask, keeping an eye on him.

There is a moment of silence as Flit thinks and looks at the picture. "Yeah that's him. That's Desil. Where did you get it?"

"I just took it Flit. He's a couple feet behind you"

"What? Here? What should we do?" Flit asks, trying to make it look like he doesn't know.

What do you wish to do Jake? Desil, the boy responsible for attacking the Diva and kidnapping the Diva is right before your eyes.
>>
>>24786803
Take his ass in! lock em up!
>>
>>24786803
do we have a gun? apply bluets directly to his head.
>>
>>24786803
Get Ma G to relay to the AI to detain any persons not matching entries in colony residential or visitation records.
>>
>>24786803
Alert Grodek and any other nearby allies. Catching the twat will be difficult to impossible with only Jake and Flit. Hell, your allies might interfere with the capture if they don't know what's going on. Ask MaG and the MA to keep surveillance on Desil as best they can in the event initial capture is unsuccessful. Use the MA's drones to track and secure Desil if need be. This is a known agent of the UE. Heaven only knows what intel we can squeeze out of him.
>>
>>24786803
Tell the warmech that Desil is to be detained immediately as a post-war prisoner.
>>
>>24786874
This. The claw will detain him.

"Flit, tell Grodrek what's going on. I'll alert the guys. Make sure no one does anything crazy, I wanna catch this little shit." You say as you radio Carlos and the others and explain the situation.

"This is Sargent Arthur. Mobile Armor, can you detain anyone now in the Colony Residential or visitation records? I believe there is an intruder in the colony. Detain him as a post-war prisoner"

"Affirmative. Deploying Kidnappers..." You see small, kiddie-pool sized disks pop off the Mobile Armor and begin to hover around. They begin to fly over the crowd looking over the now panicked people in search of an intruder.

Suddenly you see the boy bolt from the crowd, headed for the woods. The kidnappers bolt towards him, one firing it's wired grappling claw to grab hold of him. Desil manages to hop out of the way, but it grabs his leg and drags him about 10 feet into the air before he wriggles out and falls.

He lands on his arms, you can practically hear the meaty sound of snapping bone and his cry from your cockpit. The other kidnapper launches it's claw and picks the boy up by the waist, taking him inside of the cockpit.

Now the crowd if fucking panicked and fleeing the scene, both because of the mobile armor snatching up a little boy and the black mobile suit coming out of the woods and firing on the mobile armor.

It's the same black suit from the colony! The one Mr. Manos was using. Before you or anyone else can fire on it, the Mobile Armor's eyes go from Green to Red. One of it's lobster like legs opens up, releasing several tentacle like wires with what look like weapons of some kind on the end.

The Zedas charges forward, but the wired weapons open fire, releasing a single precision beam that cuts through the head and causes the mobile suit to fall over mid run.

"Mobile Suit disabled. Damage to Colony. Minimal. Prisoner detained. Waiting next orders."

What next Jake?
>>
>>24787269
have some on grab the broken Ms and study it.
move the prisoner to the ship to interrogate and have the MA join us .
>>
I love this MA
>>
>>24787269
Ask MA to interrogate the prisoner for information regarding his intentions. Let MA use whatever means necessary to extract the information.
>>
Clam everyone down. Maybe have play the sound of nails on a chalkboard to get there attention.
>>
>>24787269

"Prisoner is suspected of illegal Human Testing on Allied personnel. Do you have suitable facilities for interrogation?"
>>
Announce over the loudspeakers that UE infiltrators have been detained and that the mobile armor is an ally.
>>
>>24787557
"Calm down everyone! This Mobile Armor is an ally, he just detained a U.E. Infiltrator. It is not going to harm you!" You call out over the loud speaker system on the Gundam for a few minutes. Most of the people calm down, but a few continue running back to town.
>>24787515
>"Prisoner is suspected of illegal Human Testing on Allied personnel. Do you have suitable facilities for interrogation?"

"Negative. This unit is only equipped to capture and detainment. Interrogation must be done by proper personnel." The A.I. Responds.

"Jake? This is Captain Grodek. Do you have the boy in custody?"

"Yes sir. The Mobile Armor got him for me."

"The mobile armor got him?" Grodek sounds puzzled.

"It thinks I'm the Gundam's old pilot. It still thinks it's the war, I've given it the history logs but it's still operating off pre-war regulations."

What do you do now Jake?
>>
>>24787693
I'm sure that we have people who can interrogate him, and if not there's always Grodek's people. It should be noted that in now way should the interrogator respect his rights. He should be considered an alien hostile to the human race and treated accordingly.
>>
>>24787269
"Everyone, calm down, the situation is under control."
"We have instructed the MS to capture any person who has arrived to the colony by illegal means. We have reasons to believe that an UE collaborator is aboard the colony."
"And, apparently, we got him. Please, remain calm - you are in no danger."
>>
>>24787733
>>24787693
Let's have Grodek and Flit deal with Desil's interrogation...

Wait, send Carlos along as well.
He doubles as the inhumane torture method through puns.

Who knows, maybe desil will break under the puns and spill the beans.
>>
>>24787693

"Allied personnel will collect prisoner once Civilians have been vacated from the area"

Request that Grodek assembles a squad to transfer Desil to more permanent confinement.

>>24787800
A most cunning of ideas... Though we should talk to him at some point. After all, He is responsable for Mellis's condition...
>>
>>24787800
Agreed.
We should also go over there, maybe help them in some way - partnering up with Carlos to make a hurricane of bad puns, perhaps...
"I gotta admit, Desil, you're no chicken... But you're gonna be COOPed for a while."
"GODDAMN IT, YOU TWO, I'LL STRANGLE YOU IF YOU KEEP DOING THAT."
>>
>>24787833
Doesn't get much more secure than a flying fortress. Unless he fancies himself a bird he's not going anywhere once it takes off. Even moreso if it's in space.
>>
>>24787867
isn't interrogation by pun a war crime?
>>
>>24787906
Yes, it's the worst form of PUNishment.
>>
>>24787800
At the very least, we've broken his arms. Try piloting now, kiddo. X-Rounder mental interfaces only go so far.

On a less sadistic note, yeah, let's interrogate the hell out of him. Remember how freaked out Desil got when Flit started beating him in their fight at the end of the arc? Kid's seven. He's just gotten his arms broken and he's now trapped by a giant AI war machine. I think we can make him crack. My only fear is what we're going to do with him. If we leave him on Minsry the UE might still pick him up, but like hell we're not taking him with us.
>>
>>24788027
If we break him enough he may work as a soldier.
>>
>>24788027
oh we will but he will be locked the fuck up!
>>
>>24788027

.... we could always give him a first hand experience of what he has done to Melis....

Give them about five minuites, then we pull him out and ask if he is ready to help fix her. If not, then he can enjoy her company some more...

though we should ask Mellis first if we were to do this...
>>
>>24787693
Ask Grodek and Captain Frizzle if they have anyone trained in interrogation. Get engineers to inspect and disarm the MS before someone triggers a fail-safe. Give our suspicions about Desil to the interrogator. Get Grodek and Birmings back to work hashing out the deal. Inform MA to keep watch for anymore hidden MS or infiltrators.
>>
>>24788079
Is he really the sort of person we want on our side? As of now he's a horrible psychotic child. Though I suppose it would be funny if after we interrogated him we rehabilitated him and got him proper counseling instead of using him as a child soldier, so that by the 2nd generation arc he's a nice person who regrets his past. For one thing, it would make Zeheart have just no idea what to do about us.
>>
>>24788130
Well, we should at least take proper care of him, enemy or no.
I mean, sure, he's a psycho asshole, but we're better than him, no need to go medieval on his ass.
>>
>>24788130
Honestly he may end up being nice, but to reach that point will require much, much trauma. Which I'm all for inflicting.
>>
>talking about cruelly interrogating a seven year old kid to breaking point

Desil is a complete shit but jesus christ /tg/
>>
>>24788182
Agreed, we're better than this.
>>
>>24788182
He's an alien.
>>
>>24788165
Fair enough. I just like to think to the future, given that this is generational. We have more potential to derail plot than any other canon-based quest we've ever seen. It'll be hilarious.
>>
>>24788182

If he provides the nessicary information to allow us to fix what he done to Mellis, then he we'll drop it.
the cruelly part, that is...
>>
>>24788182
It's not like we're going to torture the kid. I assume our commanding officers are good enough to know that confessions under duress are rarely useful. Probably we're going to do a perfectly humane interrogation and any breaking on his part is going to be because he is spoiled, childish sociopath who has never been seriously reprimanded or punished in his life. And come on. The worst we've actually advocated on doing is telling him bad puns.
>>
>>24787867
honestly I can see that working
>>24787906
who cares? it's Desil
>>
>>24787800
"Do you have anyone trained in interrogation?" You ask Grodek.

"I'm trained in interrogation." He states. "I don't believe anyone else on my or Captain Frizzle's crew is"

"Grodek why don't you take Flit and Carlos to interrogate Desil? I want to talk to him later, so make sure Carlos doesn't drive him to suicide with his puns. Have some of your people board the MA and I'll launch it. I doubt he's going to get off that thing once it's airborn." You suggest, walking over to the disabled black MS.

"Dorthy Ann, could you send some engineers to retrieve this MS? It's was disabled by the MA, but it's probably still
booby-trapped."

"Alright. I'll send them out right away. What do you want Arnold and the other pilots to do?"

"Have them patrol the outside of the colony, making sure that the U.E. aren't planning an attack. Make sure the Diva's crew checks in with Alzack to secure that funding and materials."

The MA takes into the air with Desil, Flit, Grodek and Carlos along with some security personal. You can still board the MA using your Gundam.

What do you wish to do?
>>
>>24788580
Examine the area from which the MA took off. There may be something we can use.
>>
>>24788580
Let's board that thing. We need to get as much data and blueprints from it as we can.
Ancient forbidden tech Gundam ho!
>>
>>24788580
Time to get to work back on the ship. Talk with the MA about pre-war tech. It might give us some useful ideas, like the shield-mounted I-fields i mentioned earlier. Maybe the MA has information about X-rounders that Flit or Dr. Spriggan could find helpful. Once supplies start coming in, work with Flit and the engineers to kit out our forces and finish the data miner..
>>
>>24788580
try to see if Ma G can alter the MA databanks so it stop thinking we're it's previous pilot things could go ugly if it ever discover we're not that Sargent Arthur guy, of course do that only if it's reasonably safe
>>
>>24788580
I don't see any need to board the MA yet, but I would like to maintain the comm line with the Sentinel System. I think we should investigate more into the MA's function while it still thinks we're Sargent Arthur. At the very least get it's name. After that, try to find out if the clearance it assumes we have goes as far as it giving us any design data it has. It's pre-AG tech, so it's probably got some good stuff. At the very least I'd expect some fabrication and self-repair technology that we might be able to upgrade the AGE system with.
>>
>>24788580
About the MA: You guys want to try and program our real identity in as Sargent Arthur's lieutenant, with privileges equal to or almost equal to Sargent?
>>
>>24788933
That could work. Check with Ma G first to see if she thinks the AI would react poorly, though.
>>
>>24788660
If we take Ma G on board Desil may stage a daring escape in which he hijacks her and flies off.
>>
>>24788960
Hopefully, with Ma G being more intelligent that the AGE Device, she wouldn't work for anyone that grabbed her. Isn't she specifically imprinted on us, that being the whole reason we were allowed to stay on as the Gundam's pilot?
>>
>>24788998
My bad. I forgot the imprinting thing.
>>
>>24788718

We need to be careful. If it suspects that we're not actually Sargent Arthur, it could flag us as hostile again.

We need to choose our words very carefully.
>>
>>24788960
His arms are broken, I doubt he'll come far. And MaG is imprinted on us.

We should keep friendly with the MA, and we could use some pre-war tech. Imagine a Gundam using all that awesome stuff, like self-repairing.
Maybe we should inform the big guy about us being his new Sargent, so he doesn't lose his shit at the most unfortunate moments.
>>
MaG said that our ship is too low-tech for her to have any viable application, but what about the Dias? That is a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art warship. MaG is liable to have a lot more pull if connected to it's computer core...

That, and by using the processing power of the Dias, our Viral attacks should be exponentially more efficient...
>>
>>24789052
That's sort of why we need to program ourselves as Sargent's second-in-command.
>>
>>24788960
Even assuming MaG would let that happen, he has broken arms. I don't think he is going anywhere. However, I am against going on the MA right now, it thinks we are Sargent Arthur an if it finds out otherwise we could be in a world of hurt.
>>
>>24789052

It could be possible to convince it of a change in command, but I feel as though that would require the authorization of a military rank higher than Sargent.
There's really nothing wrong with it thinking we're Sargent Arthur, but I see what you're saying. What could happen that would clue it in that we're not who it thinks we are, I wonder?
>>
>>24789156
Explain Jake's situation to the MA (who really needs a name) and refer it to Captain Frizzle for confirmation and a copy of our orders. The order to use the Crusader came from High Command if I remember correctly, and should satisfy the MA.
>>
>>24789156
Who's in charge of the colony? That guy who's gonna provide us with weapons?

Maybe he's the current person in authority, and maybe he has proper authorization. So, we give him the reins of this thing, and ask for his permission to interact with MA.
That way, we get both access to pre-war tech, the big guy is still under proper control, and the colony will be kept safe for some time, as well as us being in indirect charge.
>>
>>24789220
>Explain Jake's situation to the MA (who really needs a name)
We could always ask it what it's designation is.
>>
>>24789231
Oh no MA is only on loan to him. After all it would be a wonderful troop transport, but ultimately it's ours.
>>
>>24789262
Yeah. I was thinking that the guy who leads the colony has the proper authorization to hand us over the command of this thing.
So, we ask him to give us that - we get the MA in a proper and legal way, without resorting to trickery.
>>
>>24789231

If it's identification matrix works the same as it did with our Gundam, it might classify pilots based on the mobile suit they're operating. This function is likely exclusive to Pre-AG tech.
Although, there's the possibility that the SENTINEL system itself is why it worked so well. Maybe it has other functions besides a simple interface.
>>
>>24789309
That's why I suggested going through proper channels to gain control of this thing - maybe we can get it to imprint on us as well.
Hacking and tricking it would probably not do us any good considering how it's an AI and how it could counter-hack us.

As for the SENTINEL system, we'll see. I doubt it's a simple interface - if it was only that, it'd be far more widespread.
Maybe it'll allow us to combine with the big guy.
>>
>>24789442
>Maybe it'll allow us to combine with the big guy.
A man can dream...
>>
>>24788649
You go back to where the MA launched from. It takes you a little while to get there and find the old doors hidden in the mountain side. You proceed inside and look around. Inside of the mountain is an old hollowed out U.E. Bunker. It was probably built during the war in case the colony was attack. From the looks of it it wasn't used or occupied. Dust covers everything, the provisions are rotten and eaten through by rust and age and all the computer systems are rusted hunks of none-functional shit. The only thing you can fine that is working is an old emergency reactor that appears to have been supporting the Mobile Armor for quite a while. It's just about dead though, these reactors were designed to run for quite a long time. The Mobile Armor probably woke up after the reactor couldn't sustain itself anymore. This base doesn't look like it'll yield anything useful, but you keep a note of it for later.
>>24788718
You call up the members of the Diva crew and find out that Alzack is still working out some financial details. It'll be another 3 hours before you can get any materials

You think about going up to see Desil and but your realize there's a bigger situation to deal with. There's the situation with the MA. It thinks your a pilot your not. You should really do something about that. Should you hack it? Explain your situation? Maybe you should ask it more about itself.

What do you want to do Jake?
>>
>>24789488
Hacking would be a terrible idea. It's an AI that may or may not be on par with Ma G, after all.
We should definitely ask it more about itself. Like who built it. We should also ask it who besides Sargent Arthur it is programmed to receive orders from.
>>
>>24789488
>old hollowed out U.E. Bunker
Typo, or indication of similarities between tech?

>What do you want to do Jake?
We should definitely ask the MA about itself. Phrase it as asking for a performance report after long without scheduled maintenance. It's overview of its capabilities should tell us about it's systems somewhat, and from there we can ask Ma G about possible means of dealing with the identity problem.
>>
>>24789488
Not hacking it. First, let's have Ma G trawl any historical records to tell us what this Mobile Armor is and who Sergeant Arthur was. At the same time as this have a chat with the MA, have it tell us about itself.

Then we can choose a course of action, I'd prefer to say that we're Sergeant Arthur's replacement or direct subordinate, hacking it is a terrible idea.
>>
>>24789597
(Oops. Sorry. I mean hollowed out Pre-AG Bunker)
>>
>>24789488
Godamn, we need to know how high Sargent Arthur is in the hierarchy of command without giving away the game.
>>
>>24789488
Get to know the big guy while digging up as much as we can about him.
After that, we should probably try to explain the situation to him. Or find some loophole we can use.

Or let MaG talk to him and explain the situation?
>>
>>24789652

Ask MaG if she can download a 'List of Active Personnel' from the MA. That should include the privilages of this Sargent Arthur... Then we can proceed from there...
>>
>>24789648
He's... a Sargent. Subordinate to to Staff Sargent, then Master Sargent, First Sargent, Sargent Major, Command Sargent Major, and finally Sargent Major of the Army.
This is of course assuming this universe operates on the same titles by chain of army command.
>>
>>24789711
I like this. Fold it in with the performance report idea so that it looks like we're just asking about its status before and after its hibernation.
>>
>>24789727
But we're in the Future Space. Things may be different.
>>
>>24789488
Bumping my idea from >>24789220
. Explain the situation and refer the AI to the captain for confirmation and a copy of our orders.
>>
>>24789750
Hence why I addressed the possibility of it being different.
>>
>>24789727
...Sargent is a name, unless it is a massive typo of Sergeant, which is the correct spelling.
>>
>>24789798

We'll ask the MA about the list of active personnel and see how he addresses them. If he uses military rank as an honorary title to the rest, we can be sure if Sargent is a rank, or if it's Arthur's first name.
>>
>>24789652
>>24789610
You have Ma-G try to do a historical search for Sergeant Arthur and this mobile armor and soon find jack and shit. It's not mentioned at all and Sergeant Arthur doesn't show up in any of the military records that survived the war.

You decide to ask the mobile armor some details about itself.

"Mobile Armor? What is your designation"

"XDMA-001 Colony Defensive and Anti-Siege Entrencher or CDACE for short."

"What is your purpose?"

"To protect the colony from enemy invasion and occupation. Due to the sensitive, or rather former sensitive nature of this colony this unit was equip to counter mobile suits and fight off invading infantry and armored vehicles. In the case of the colony's possible destruction this unit is to evacuate all personal aboard and eliminate the enemy using the Neutron Collapser Cannon."

"Could you give me a List of Active Personnel CDACE?"

"I'm afraid the only surviving member with authorization to command this unit is you Sergeant Arthur. My last report states all members of the Federation Anti-Rebel Task force being killed transporting the 'Package' to a secure location"

"What is the 'package'?"

"I'm afraid this unit was not given this information, nor it's specific location. This unit does know it was of a great importance however, as this unit was created for assuring the 'packages' possible storage or safe passage"

Your thoughts Jake?
>>
>>24790374
"CDACE, would it be possible to grant authorization to command you to anyone else?"
>>
>>24790374
Well l wanna a look under the hood so to speak. These baby has lotsa of delicious tech for us to examine. Pity it doesn't know anything about the package.
>>
>>24790437
This. We should try to find a way to gain control of this baby.
If it asks why, we should at least try to explain the situation to him.
>>
>>24790374
"Are you equipped for space travel? If I were to command it, would you accompany me elsewhere and perform similar functions as on this colony under my orders, such as the usage of the Neutron Collapser Cannon?"
>>
>>24790437
We might be able to get it to classify us as the new FART. We are technically a special task force assigned to deal with a group of rebels. Problem then would be it might attack the Diva.
>>
>>24790437
Seconding this.
>>
>>24790536
technically, we are the only person who has the ability to command it...

>>24790545
we could just get the weapons specs and either make it with the AGE Builder or tinker with the design...

Also, we could offer CDACE as a stationed defensive unit to the colony in exchange for further resources. After all, It is designed for the protection of the Colony and it's inhabitants...
>>
>>24790437
>"CDACE, would it be possible to grant authorization to command you to anyone else?"
"Yes. At the moment you are in full command of this unit. You may add authorization to this unit, but you will still remain the highest in command".

Yes. This.

Authorize transfer of any and all relevant data on the CDACE's systems requested by him.

That's a good point. If it awoke because the hanger's systems were failing, request a report on how much fuel and supplies it has remaining.

Flit Asuno
Captain Grodek
Alzack Birmings

Please not that Jake Crocker who and should expected to be operating with and within the Gundam as he is the primary battlefield technician for this machine."

"Affirmative. Update complete"

"Can you give me an update on your current system status?"

"This unit is able to remain floating and can fly indefinitely while under gravity. This unit's reactor has only now just been turned on and has an expect 499.9 year run time expectancy. However this unit is running low on plasma for it's engines, it has 0.4% fuel remaining."

"Remain on standby until further orders" You shut off the comm signal and ask Ma G a question.

"What do you think of CDACE?"

"I believe this unit is possible an old mobile armor built by the Federation towards the end of the Colony Nations War. They built quite a few to my knowledge. There are probably more where this come and not all of them are going to have been built by the Federation"

What do you want to do now Jake?
>>
>>24791138
Fair enough. I was thinking that putting Alzack under us and the captains would mean we could keep him from acting against us. Change that to exclude him, but keep access for him as a potential bargaining chip.

Grodek and Flit I included for redundancy's sake in case the Armstrong gets taken out with us all on it.
>>
>>24791244
Ask Ma G if she knows how to make more plasma for CD. Then go work on doing so.
>>
>>24791244
Now that it won't have any potential problems with seeing us come out of the Gundam, fly up to a bay and check out how the interrogation is doing.
>>
>>24791244
Get what technical data you can. Even theoretical data from during the war could be of help, though I doubt a colony defense MA would store it unless in an emergency. Pay special attention to beam weapon and beam defense data. Jake likely won't have enough time to overhaul Crusader's reactor and engines, but improved beam rifles, launchers, and shields can be built and tested easily with the AGE Builders.
>>
>>24791244
Ask MaG if she knows how we could fuel this thing. It'd be a huge asset against the UE.
We should eventually search CD's data for any upgrades and blueprints we can make.

After that, we should check out the interrogation. I doubt that the resources we need have arrived yet.
>>
How about CACE for the name?

Heh heh... fart. Arthur must have been a hit at parties.
>>
>>24791317
Plasma based fuel is standard for mobile suits and ships. It will be pretty easy to get.
>>24791426
The unit itself doesn't appear to hold any data on it's weapons or systems. It's unlikely it's able to initiate self-repair and most likely relied on a maintenance crew that was supposed to inside the colony or possibly on the unit itself, after all it is the size of a small ship.
>>24791347
>>24791380
After dealing with the CDACE you fly up to the mobile armor and touch down with your Gundam on the little landing on top of CDACE's blimp like back.

You climb down from the suit and enter the ship using a enterance hatch near the landing deck. Climb down inside you find the interior of the Mobile armor to be a little cramped. It's the size of a ship but it's certainly not built to accommodate a lot of people comfortably.

You walk down the hall until you come to a large room with small, nasty looking cells and kidnappers drones hanging from the ceiling. It's an interesting set up, the top opens up and allows the Kidnappers to drop prisoners in the crude but sturdy looking module cells.

Finding Flit and the others isn't hard, all you have to do is follow the sobbing. You find Carlos and Flit standing outside of the cell, Grodrek talking with Desil, who's voice is horse from all the screaming he was probably doing earlier.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24791756
Ask the two outside if they heard any information, and how long they think the interrogation will last.
Can't very well disturb a man while he's working.
>>

>>
>>24791756

>>
>>24791786
>>24791793
"You OK Flit? It's not every day you snatched by an ancient mobile armor"

"Yeah I'm fine. Yurin was a little shaken up but she was pretty calm through the whole thing."

"Yurin? Never mind, how is the interrogation going?"

"Desil's refusing to talk. He's in a lot of pain though, Carlos goaded him until his voice gave out and now it hurts to speak apparently."

"I guess you could say I really deal out the PUNishment....get it?" Carlos says with an amused look, and you resist the urge to slap him across the face.

"Well he's in a lot of pain, two broken arms for a seven year old is a lot to handle. What do you think we should do Jake?" Flit asks, looking unsure what to do.

Well Jake?
>>
>>24791906
"Get him medical attention, keep trying to get information out of him if possible, but most importantly keep him in a secured location unknown to most people so nobody can drag him out.

Mind if I try to talk to him?"
>>
>>24791906
"We help the little fucker. I know he's the enemy and all, but we're better than this."

"I'll not let a kid be tortured in front of me like this."
"Carlos, go get help from the Armstrong. Flit, you know basic first aid, right?"
>>

"God Flit if you need to pee so badly just go and we'll carry on when you're done." Carlos says with a smirk, you give him a glare muttering "Carlos, I swear to god... go get help from the Armstrong to get this kid medical attention or I'll force feed you your own fingers.

You turn back to Flit "We help the little fucker. I know he's the enemy and all, but we're better than this.I'll not let a kid be tortured in front of me like this.

"But he's the enemy! He's the one who hurt Mellis wasn't he? Why should we help him?" Flit objects, glaring at you.

"Because we're his enemy Flit. It's all about perspective. I don't know why he's working for the U.E. but he's only 7 I doubt he's exactly well informed on what he's been doing. He probably doesn't know any damn better considering he's a child soldier."

Flit continues to glare at you, obviously disagreeing with you but he doesn't have any retort. You open the cell and walk inside, Grodek looks at you sternly. "I'm not finished"

>"Grodrek, I think we should get him some medical attention. That medical facility we took my friend to should have sufficient capacity to treat him." You look to Desil "I think you'll get along well with my friend, though she's had a rather unpleasant experience recently. She was kidnapped by UE forces and experimented on. Apparently the presence of X-Rounders drives her into a psychotic frenzy... Though I'm sure You'll be fine, Won't you, Desil!?"

Desil looks like he's about to shit his pants at mention of your friend, knowing very well what she could do. He shakes his head furiously back and forth. "No" he croaks out.

The medic arrives with Dad, carrying a full medical kit. Grodek seems to object giving the boy medical attention.
"I can get more out of him this way"

What do you wish to do Jake?
>>

He will get the treatment as a gesture of goodwill; however, if he continues being uncooperative we'll be arriving at the medical soon.

Of course we aren't really going anywhere, but he doesn't know that.

But I doubt we'll get the most useful information out of him if he just wants you to stop hurting him. Desil, I want to help you, I hate every single inch of your guts, but I'm trying to be better than you and your ilk.

So please, please give me something, cooperate. You're not getting out of here and you're not escaping, I don't want to have to hurt you but I will if it's the only way to get information to fight the U.E. and save lives."
>>

"Dared, bet and plan on winning back my money Desil. So what's it going to be? Help me so I can help you, or I can let Grodek do what he obviously wants to do..."

Desil chokes, tears welling up in his eyes again. "Alright! Alright! What do you want to know?"

Righto, first thing on the agenda is you telling me what you did to Mellis, what side effects there are to what you did, how to help her, and everything you can thing of related to this no matter how tangentially.

You will also tell us about the Mobile Suit you made Mellis pilot.

Also, tell us everything you know about Ambat, its defenses, weak points, and man power. You will also give us everything you have on the U.E., who they are, what they are, why they are doing this, and you will also provide any information you have on technological advancements they have made."
>>

Seconded. We should also probably ask him why he's doing all this.
If we can plant the seed of doubt in his head, we might end up with Desil on our side as a good guy.

Desil does it for shits and giggles, pretty much. He's been raised to think he's the best that the UE/Vagan forces have, and because no one bothered to discipline the punk, he's got an ego the size of Mount Rushmore and is such a psychopath, he makes Charles Manson look tame.

"Whatever..." Desil mutters

>"OK. First question, what did you do to Mellis?"
"I didn't do anything to that stupid bi-"

You grab hold of one of the bones sticking out of his arm and he screams in agony.

"Care to rephrase that?"

"Agh! Yes, yes! I didn't do anything to her. The others did, the scientists. They put things inside of her head to make her X-Rounder abilities stronger. They were supposed to make her easy to control, but they did just the opposite"

"How do I reverse what they did?" You demand.

"I don't know! I didn't preform the surgery myself! All I know is they weren't concerned if she got away or died, and they usually don't do that unless they know someone is going to die anyway..."

"What are you saying?"

"Her implants are going to kill her eventually. Maybe not today or tomorrow but eventually. They don't allow me to play with anything that they don't want broken"

>You will also tell us about the Mobile Suit you made Mellis pilot

"It's the Farsia, a prototype X-Rounder mobile suit they've been working on. I asked them if my to-your friend could use it to help me against Flit. It's still experimental, so they're probably mad I lost it..."

>Seconded. We should also probably ask him why he's doing all this.

"Why shouldn't I? It's fun!"

"You honestly find killing people fun?"

"Yeah, don't you?"

"Not particularly no. I care more about protecting the people I love. Does anyone love you Desil?"

"...yeah"

"Really? Is that why you fight? When you do a good job, when you kill people and come back successful you think the people who give you your 'toys' actually care about you?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't they?"

"And they've manipulated you your entire life by letting you do whatever you want. If they cared about you, they'd be here for you now, wouldn't they?"

"What? NO! I'm better then anyone else! They wouldn't do that! They can't..."

"They probably already have Desil. If you don't come back the most they'll worry about is the suit they lost." You let out a sigh and pat the kid on a shoulder. "Your a kid Desil. You've been lied too, abused and probably mislead your entire damn life. But you have time to make up for that. You have time to atone for what you've done by answering the next two questions. After that...I promise to give you two choices. Now. What do you know about Ambat?"

"..." Desil is silent, looking not angry, not frustrated or defeated but...confused. Eventually he speaks up. "It's our main base of operations at the moment. We have three Fa Bose class ships and 10,000 people there. Mobile suit wise, I don't know but I know it's probably around 700-800 not including the prototypes they have there. We don't have many external defenses, just the old ones were repaired. We mostly rely on the invisible umbrella system to make it look like we're not there."

"Alright...now who are the U.E?"

"The U.E? We're like you. We're human."

"Human? How is that possible?"

"I don't know the details but...a long time ago we were sent to mars from the Earth to colonize it. Back then they thought Mars was going to be easy to make into a second Earth but...it didn't work. They built colony's on and around Mars, but people started to get sick from a germ in the soil they brought up from mars and the solar winds"

"That makes sense" Grodek states. "Mars does not have a significant magnetic field. A sickness probably came from solar radiation, as magnetic fields deflect solar winds around the planet."

"And normal colony's aren't shielded to withstand that kind of radiation..."

(Continued)
>>
>>24793565
"You know why they didn't bother to save you? Because you can and you will be replaced."

"So drop the act and listen. Help me and let me help you."
"I don't want to hurt you, Desil. I know that deep somewhere in you is a kid who never wanted any of this to happen."

"Join me. Join the side that will care for you."

Lord Ezelcant, before he was a lord, rallied people together and we managed to rebuild. Eventually we managed to get in contact with the Earth Federation and told them we were all alive. Everyone thought they were going home when the Federation sent ships..."

"What happened?"

"They weren't transport ships. They were battleships. They bombarded the colonies and tried to kill us all. Somehow we managed to defeat the fleet but we learned we couldn't go home. Not until the Earth Federation was destroyed. The U.E. are not an unknown enemy or aliens. We are human just like you. We are Vagan. And we want our Earth back"

"We're not hiding because we're not strong enough. We're following Lord Ezelcant's plan. I don't know the details, but as long as the Earth Federation thinks we're aliens they'll fear us and they won't act. This will give us time to build up our forces and learn about them. Then we can invade in force and crush them"

"What do the Vagan plan to do? Kill everyone in the Earth Sphere?"

"Yes. Everyone. The Colonies, The Federation. They're going to kill until only the Vagan are left. Only then can we finally have Earth to themselves."

>>24793735
Everyone, Carlos, Flit and even Grodek looked a little horrified at the news. You had a feeling they were human though.

"Alright Desil. You kept your word now I'll keep mine. Join the side that will care for you.I can be your friend, despite all the horrible shit you've done. No one is beyond absolution. So what will it be Desil? I won't force you to do anything like they will. I leave you to decide..."

Desil looked at you, wondering what the trick was, what you were planning, what kind of game you were playing with him. It took a good 20 minutes before Desil realized you weren't lying to him. You were giving him a choice.

"...alright..." he whispers.

"What was that?" you ask.

"Alright! I'll stay..."

You motion for the doctor to come in and begin treating Desil.

Now what Jake?
>>
>>24793915

>"Alright, so now that we know the truth, I think its time that we reconsider our plan of action. We all knew how corrupt the Federation already was, but not to this extent. Still, that doesn't excuse the Vagan's destruction of the colonies."
>Right now, we should focus on our current objective, and when that's done, we try and purge the corruption from the Federation. The kind of shit they've done, that they're still doing... It needs to stop. It might take five, ten, or maybe even twenty years, but we should do what we can to change the Federation for the better, and maybe we can end this conflict between the Federation and Vagan without any more needless bloodshed. You leave the cell and pull Grodek, Flit and Carlos

After all, no mater what they call themselves; U.E., Vagan, or whatever, the fact remains that they're still human beings."

"How do you expect to do that? The fact I decided to fight them has made me a wanted man. If you breath a word of this the Federation will come down on you until your nothing but ash Jake." Grodek warns. "I went into this knowing what my fate would be. Can you say the same?"
>>
>>24794173
We just learned that a conspiracy at the highest levels of our government tried to commit genocide against an entire planetary population and managed to cover it up entirely. I don't think anyone will object if we need a drink.
>>
>>24794097
8-to1 odds, eh? We need a lot of help or a few nukes, maybe both. Contact the pirates and the Feddies. Hard telling how much help either would send, but we're in a tight corner here. Distribute the XM3 to all MS forces. Coordinate with the colony and our engineers to outfit our forces with anti-beam cowls, DODS rifles, and beam sabers. That will give us a better chance against their MS. It might be possible to modify mega beam launchers to scattering beam cannons. Find out! something like that could help even the odds. Set Flit on CD and see what he can pull from it. Can we refit shipboard missiles with heavy EMP warheads? Launch a barrage of those before our forces enter range to soften the UE up.
>>
>>24794202
They both explode the same way, but Leos weigh only 7 tons compared to their shitty suits which weigh 58 tons. The Leo actually has more mobility than these guys.
>>

We don't have time. Mellis is gonna bite it in two weeks.

"I can't just sit by while something like this happens. Who knows what else the Federation keeps under wraps. I mean, I know they're corrupt, but genocide?"
"So, I'll see this through. For all of us. I'll not let thousands die because of some corrupt assholes who allow such things."

"We'll fight, we'll kick and scream, and we'll blaze a trail for those behind us so that they can live in a better tomorrow."
"Just who the hell do they think we are?"
>>
>>24794271
Flit, Captain Frizzle and I are going to work our way through the ranks. We'll need more political power in order to topple them. And guess what? Averting this crisis will make us "heroes" of the Federation.
>>
>>24794271
"No, but there is nothing else to do, its whats right."
>>
>>24794271
>"I managed to take a mobile suit that can fight on par with Vagan mobile suits, make it better, salvage one of their MS, save Melis and get ANOTHER Vagan MS, and convinced a VERY mentally ill child to defect from a bunch of people that would have tossed him aside like a used tissue. We have a potentially VERY powerful pre-Silver Chalice Treaty Mobile Armor on our side, Our mobile suits alone can outperform most, if not ALL of the Federation's Genoaces, and I can still call in a favor from those space pirates I told you about. If I get into a sticky situation with the Federation, I can say with the utmost certainty that yes, I got this."
>>
>>24794425
I was gonna say that this sounds like bragging, but so far, we HAVE been able to pull off some pretty crazy shit... Still sounds a bit cocky, though.
>>
>>24794271
"Nope, I had not idea what I was getting into but it's the right thing to do.

Currently we have the most advanced Mobile Suits in the Federation and the biggest pile of blackmail ever. Not to mention our manufacturing capabilities outstrip theirs in some ways and we're just so much prettier than they are.

Besides if we deal with the UE we're 'heroes', they can't exactly kill us off publicly if people are asking us to kiss babies and sign autographs."

"You know what? Yes. I'm just a kid, and I know I'm still all sorts of naive. But I can't in good conscience live in a world where we allow this sort of thing to happen because we're afraid of what the men in power will do to us.

"You're right. We can't just come out and say this. But there are other ways to fight this than open rebellion. We don't have to shout the truth to the heavens. We just have to do exactly what we're already doing, and survive it long enough that someone starts asking questions. We'll take Ambat, take prisoners alive, and the world will know. Because we're going to do a terrible job of preventing information leaks or communications between the prisoners and our forces. And the soldiers of Zalam and Euba will take home the story of the lost colony that sought revenge. The rumors will spread. Those men who served on the extermination fleet will be reminded of their guilt. A task force that size must have had thousands of men aboard. Not to mention all the pursers and engineers and bureaucrats needed to mobilize the ships. People will talk. And when it's a story being spread throughout the entire Earth Sphere, it stops being something you can suppress by killing the dissidents."

Grodek sighs. "I hope your right. Because I know that I'm going to prison. I planned on taking the blame for everything, but if you do anything too crazy I'll be hard pressed to make it seem like I forced you to do it"

"Now I don't know about you guys but I could use a drink..." You rub your temples and groan.

"A drink? Like alcohol? But your 15!" Flit exclaims.

"Oh come on Flit you guys are basically soldiers anyway. Besides I'm 21, I'll act as your chaperone" Carlos says.

"No offence Carlos, but I wouldn't trust you to chaperone a rock. Hey Dad? Want to take your son drinking?" Your father raises an eyebrow, unsure of why your so eager to drink.

"I believe there are a couple places. Where would you like to drink? There's a bar in town or Alzack's mansion. The supplies should be ready in an hour or so...

What will you do Jake?

>>24794648
"I've no idea. Where would you guys like to go?"
>>

Drink, stopping a impending genocide and reveling another is heavy
>>
>>24794648
"Alzack's mansion sounds good. The bar might be crowded and I bed the mansion has comfy couches.

I've just had a long week, a long day."
>>
>>24794648
The bar in town sounds nice.
>>
>>24794648
We just need to make sure Desil doesn't secretly call for help, or that some UE people sneak onto the ship and kidnap Yurin.
>>
>>24794817
We'll probably keep him here. And post some guards in front of the cell while the doctors work on him.
>>
>>24794648
"I'm just tired, Dad. This past week has had more drama than the entire rest of my life, and then I went and topped that in just the past hour. Really I just want to lay about and do nothing, and drinking is a good excuse for that. I doubt I'm really going to get drunk.

"Alzack's mansion sounds like a good idea, then. I can just lounge about, Carlos can have drinks older than he is, Flit might even get a chance to make out with his girlfriend. Nice and relaxing night. Well, morning by now, I guess."
>>
>>24794817
Suggestion: Put Desil under the care of Alzack Birmings with Yurin acting as an older sister as guidance. This sounds like a bad idea(especially with Alzack being terrible at expressing his own feelings), but I think Desil needs to realize that there CAN be caring people. Also, we need to pump Desil for Vegan MS specs. Now that we know they're humans from Mars, we should shift tactics and go into disabling units by cutting off the head.

Meta scenario prediction: Farther down the road when Mellis is healed and Desil is more well adjusted, they can rib at each other about what happened while doing squad play in the MS simulator on the same team.
>>
>>24794817
The only reason Yurin was kidnapped was so Desil could fuck with Flit's mind. No Desil, no kidnapping. We're going to be fucked over from a different direction than canon. Instead of 'OMG that's Yurin in there!' it'll be 'OMG 8 FUCKING MOBILE ARMORS'!
>>
>>24794648

I vote for the mansion. It will give us a little time to mull everything over in a quiet place with no one to listen in except for relevant individuals.
Also, we need to make for certain that Desil is still in medical care and being properly treated.

Remember that our childhood friend who we love romantically is going to die if we don't act quickly. I THINK we should inform Dr. Spriggan about the fact that Mellis is going to die unless he figures something out quick, because once Desil's information about the seriousness of her condition hits us after our guard is down, we're going to be extremely depressed if not hysterical.
>>
>>24794938
That sounds great. Seconding this.
Desil needs someone to care for him and keep an eye on him, and right now, Yurin sounds like a perfect girl to do that.
>>
>>24794955

I wouldn't be surprised at all if our actions actually make everything harder. Butterfly effect and all that.
>>
>>24794938
>we should shift tactics and go into disabling units by cutting off the head.
Why? This is war, and we aren't the Preventers. Enemy casualties are expected, nay, encouraged, unless they surrender. Which has a 50/50 chance of them shooting us in the back.

Broadcast that we know their identities to make them shit bricks.
>>
>>24794959
Good point. Let's do that before we head out to mope. We're Hotblooded McTacticool, inaction does not become us.

"Alzack's mansion sounds like a good idea, then. I can just lounge about, Carlos can have drinks older than he is, Flit might even get a chance to see his girlfriend. Nice and relaxing night. Well, morning by now, I guess besides the bar might be crowded and I bet the mansion has comfy couches. Really I just want to lay about and do nothing, and drinking is a good excuse for that. I doubt I'm really going to get drunk." You say and everyone nods in agreement.

Before you leave however you have Desil stripped of his clothes and searched for any devices.

"You don't trust me?" he asks, looking somewhat hurt.

"I don't want you ruining this for yourself. Besides, those clothes look god damn ugly. I'll see if I can pick you up something that doesn't make you look psychotic." You say as you exit the ship thinking on what you should do with Desil.
---------
Grodek decides to go back to the ship to talk things over with Alzack. Your flight to the mansion is a nice one. You set down just outside the front gates of the mansion as federation personal run back and forth getting things ready.

Walking into the lush living room you see a fully stocked bar. Your father hops behind the counter and begins getting drinks ready when a girl walks into the room.

"Flit?" she asks.

"Yurin!" Flit says his face lighting up like a Christmas tree as he goes over and hugs the purple haired girl.

"Jesus Flit just pee already" Carlos says with a grin.
>>24794938

"Carlos, shut the fuck up" you say thinking over everything Desil told you. Your worried about Mellis and make a call to the research center.
"I didn't realize it was so severe. I'll step up the procedure. We have an idea what's causing her pain but now I'm sure I know what the problem is."

"Can you save her doc?"

"I don't know, but at the very least I can buy you more time"

After telling Dr. Spriggans the news you find you really just need to chill for a moment. You look around the mansion and realize that maybe this would be a good place to keep Desil.

How do you want to bring this up with Yurin?
>>
>>24795050
(.4% fuel, not power. He's using a reactor that'll last him about 500 years)
>>
>>24795045
It's surprising how quickly Desil became likeable.
>>
>>24795067
NO WAY, BAD IDEA. Desil could use this to turn the tables on us instantly.
>>
>>24795067
Why not keep him on the ship? After all we said we'd take care of him. Just treat him like a psychotic little brother.
>>
>>24794998
I don't think we should make it our main objective, but a few enemy pilots captured alive instead of killed would be very useful to us. They can't shoot us in the back if they're a severed head floating in space. And every enemy captured instead of killed is another blow to Ezelcant's philosophy by showing mercy. Not to mention interrogating them for any useful information. Plus it's been shown that removing the head reduces likelihood of self-destruct. We thrive on salvage and reverse-engineering (though thinking about it, we haven't really incorporated any Vagan tech into our units yet. We need to fix that)
>>
>>24795083
He's only 7 at this point. He can still be saved. In canon, he just got worse because no one ever taught him any better. he literally grew up to become a psychopathic manchild soldier.
>>
>>24795088
He'll be under constant watch, and possibly doped.
Besides, we're not going anywhere for two weeks. Maybe we'll make some progress with the little guy.
...maybe a session of Gundams & Granzords 3.5?
>>
>>24795088
If we treat him like a rabid dog, that's all he's ever going to be. Give kindness a chance.

>>24795067
We should probably say something like
"Hey, hi, sorry if I'm keeping you from Flit, but... I need to ask you a favor. And it's VERY important. I mean, all of human existence could literally be at stake. Hear me out?"
>>
>>24794993
They did. The UE deployed 8 Defurse (Big Zam expys) and new model MS to Ambat in part 6 due to our taking down Melis.
>>
>>24795088
We've already broken his psychotic facade and shown that our group truly cares for his mental wellbeing. Bringing him up in an environment that won't leave him griping about life not being fair again(Birmings is rich), but also giving him someone who can look after him as a moderating effect(Yurin).

Remember, we gave him a clear choice: Go back to the Vegans and be a puppet, or stay and become something more.
>>
>>24795174

Well, yeah. But I meant besides that.
>>
>>24795067
First get a drink and start nursing it. Then when a good chance comes up find a time to talk to Yurin in private.

"Yurin, I have a favor to ask of you, and it's a big one and you can just say no if you don't want to do it.

There's a guy named Desil, he's utterly batshit insane and I want you to try to take care of him.

He was raised as a child soldier, he's been through hell, and in some ways he's broken as a person. He's been hurt when he was kind and rewarded when they force him to hurt people. They took a little kid, he's 7 years old, and made him into a weapon.

He's cruel and vicious because he doesn't know any better, but I think he's willing to change if someone shows him how. I know I'm putting a lot of responsibility on you for hardly even knowing you, but I think you can do more for him than anyone else.

Just think about it, okay?"
>>
>>24795174
They should deploy more. Shapely mecha legs happen to be a fetish of mine.
>>
>>24795088
Yeah. I don't think it's the best idea to introduce him to Yurin quite yet. After Ambat, maybe, when we're less worried about his desire to cause Flit despair. Besides, we don't really know the girl well enough to ask her to take in a psychotic child because he needs a better home environment.
>>
>>24795067
We need to time this right. If we pop in just now while she's talking with Flit, we could screw everything up.
So, we find a proper moment, inform her about Desil and how the UE fucked him over, and ask her for help. We should probably ask her dad about this as well.
Offer any help we can. We'd take care of him, but we're a goddamn military ship, not suitable for something such as this.

Also, we should probably visit Desil as often as we can. If we turn the guy into our little bro, we're golden.
>>
Is this Yurin the equivalent of Fraw Bow in the AGEverse?
>>
>>24795210
Get out of here Ryuusei, we don't need you harassing our mecha like you did that poor Fairlion.
>>
>>24795304
Agreed post-ambat for Desil's situation. Also, we should try to capture the scientists/doctors in charge of Mellis' surgery as well and if anything, THAT will be cutting it close given Mellis' temporary unspecified life extension.

Point. We should at least get to know her better as well as make Desil trust us more.

Good point. Plus, Flit would probably get pissed at us for asking something like this of his not-girlfriend.

We wouldn't want him to ask something like this of OUR not-girlfriend after all.
>>
>>24795368
No, Yurin is more Four Murasame, with a little visual inspiration taken from Tifa Adil. She's the psychic girl that gets forced to pilot a mecha against her will, only to have to sacrifice herself to keep her out of control mobile suit from killing the protagonist who she's started a tentative relationship with.
>>
>>24795368
Yurin in Canon was the Lalah Sun expy, getting stabbed by Desil to block a blow meant for Flit after finally regaining control of her Farsia in an act of desperation. Her death triggered Flit's "ALL VEGANS MUST DIE" attitude he stuck with for the rest of the show.
>>

Dad whips you up a strong drink and you manage to nurse it without blowing chunks, the taste is horrendous but it makes you feel better. Eventally you work up

Yurin, instead of calling you crazy, she smiles and nods. "Of course. My father is...not a very understanding man, but I'm sure I can help him"

"I thought about dropping him off after our big fight but we may not make it back or he could get sent to drift in space and picked by the U.E. I don't want to lose this kid Yurin. He's fucked up...but I know I can help him.

"I'll talk to my father. Send him over whenever your ready."

You go back to the bar to get another drink. Spriggan has been informed and Yurin agreed, as long as Flit doesn't find out your golden.

Huh. I kinda want to see a double date between the timid duo and our brazen heroes.

Mellis took the hit for her, technically. The Farsia was originally meant for Yurin to pilot (and it was in the canon), but they found Mellis first.
Luckily, Mellis was too much woman for Desil to handle, unlike the demure Yurin. Also our virus took out the Farsia.

Yeah, I was just talking in terms of general role in the story. Gundam sure has a bad habit of killing off the protagonist's love interest. If you're lady who is in any way superhuman, stay away from the Gundam pilot. You will find yourself in a situation where you are forced to pilot and this leads to your death. I think the only one to escape the curse is Marie from 00.

Shakti and Katejina from Victory, the former was the core of a super weapon, the latter went on a killing spree that would have done Tomino proud, but didn't get off scott-free(she was blind in the epilogue)
Tifa Adill, never died, never a core for any weapon to speak of.
Cecily Fairchild, F91, got into the final boss fight, lost her MS, but lived.
Bernadette Briette, Crossbone, forced to pilot an MA, survives that, lays low long enough to take over an entire empire in the jupiter sphere.

You find you really like to drink. Taste sucks most of the time, but if you drown it in soda or lemonade the effect is tototally worth it. After pulling Flit away from Yurin you convince him to sit down and have a drink with the boys.

After 2 shots of Blaz Blue Label Vodka and 3 shots of Han Solo Whiskey, you, Carlos and Flit are drunk off your asses. You tell the story of how you sneaked into the ship dock as a kid to see what it would be like to pee in zero gravity. You were caught, but the guy had to drag you out of the space dock while you were peeing, leaving a trail of floating yellow liquid as you went. It was a stupid story but you have so much alcohol flowing through your bodies you don't give a shit.

"Heey Fit!" You say, slurring your words."I just talked tooooo Urine and I thought she was preeety nice. Sooo I asked her to kep Desil here with her!" You smile, as Flit's face scrunches up in rage.

"What the FUCK" he yells, pushing you backwards. "You made her agreed to let that psyo, psycy, psyc...that fucking nutjob stay here with the girl I love?"

"Heees just a kid Flit. He doesn't know any better." You say, staggering to your feet.

"Well your an idddiot!" Flit swings a drunken punch at you and manages to nail you square in the face. Landing on your back you slowly get back up and stagger forward to grab him. The two of you wrestle around until you vomit in Flit's hair, both of you breaking off out of disgust.

"Your an assshole you know that?" Flit says, trying to keep your vomit from getting into his eyes.

"Well your a arrgoant doughbag. I thought you wanted to saveee people FLit. Who better to save then a person no one wants to?" You climb back up onto the barstool and look at him, your vision bluring.

Flit sits, staring at you and thinking. Slowly begins to nod. "Alright...he can stay. But if Yurin gets hurt I'm burying your ass."

You are currently drunk off your ass Jake. What will you do?
>>
>>24795969
Find a couch and crash. No more work or drinks for Jake tonight.
>>
>>24795969
"Flit... Man, I'm sorry. I should've talked to you first, I know... I didn't mean to call you a douche."
"I fucking love you man. I fucking love the whole world."
>>
>>24795969
Tell him you'll buy him the shovel and then find Ma G and pass out inside the cockpit.
>>
>>24795969
"She gets hurt I'll hand you the gun you can use to shoot me."

I think we should clean up a bit and find somewhere comfy to crash, maybe Gundam, we need to give Gundam hugs. Unless Gundam is far away, then a couch would work.
>>
>>24795964
Yeah, I guess the tragic deaths just are more memorable. I remembered Shakti the moment after I posted, but I had forgotten about the other late UC ladies.
>>
>>24795969
Flit is upset. Let's apologize for being a dick and tell more funny stories.

Then we accidentally tell one involving Mellis and our crazy adventures when we were kids, and then start crying uncontrollably because she might die in a few weeks and you have no idea how to help her.
>>
>>24796061
That sounds good. We need a proper breakdown.

We've gone through weeks upon weeks of heavy shit, fighting, learning terrible things, seeing tragedies. We need a chance to just have a small breakdown and cry it all out.
>>
>>24796009
Yes. This. We're a maudlin drunk. Tell him that we're sorry, we just want to...we just want...we just want to make things work out alright for everyone. This is a huge mess and we just want to prevent as much tragedy as possible. No one deserves any of what's happened. Yurin gets hurt he can do whatever he wants to us.

We let it sit at that for a minute while we wait for the spinning to stop. Then we comment on that "girl I love" line. Just some light ribbing. Flit could do with someone he feels safe to joke with.
>>
>>24795969
"DDEAL!"
>>
>>24796155
Yes.

"Flit... Dude, I'm so sorry for all of this. I mean, if I only held my ass still home none of this would've happened."
"Mellis would be safe, dad would be home, mom wouldn't be worried, and now your girl is going to have to take care of that guy because of me."
"Oh God why won't the spinning stop, FUCK."

"Anyway... You love her? Dude, you yelled that out so loud I think she heard you."

"Hey Fit, I'm sorry man. I didn't mean to be a doughbag. I just want everyone to be happy. I want to prevent as much tragendy as possible. If anything happens to Urine, you can do whatever you want to me..."

"Don't you mean douchbag?" Carlos says, too drunk to hold his drinking glass properly.

"You shut the fuck up Carlos. I'm too drunk to handle your bullshit right now."

Flit shrugs and makes is way over to the couch.
"It's ok, I just want her to be safe."

Somehow you manage to walk across the room without falling on your face and crash beside him. "So you love her? Dude I think she heard you along with everyone else across the bloody colony..."

"Well I'm not afraid to admit it now, I'm too drunk to care..." Flit says, looking as dizzy as you feel.

"You know me and you are lucky guys Fit. Both of us are hopeless losers with people who love us more then we should. I remember this one time when me and Mellis tried to build a tree house. Problem was there weren't any trees on the colony big enough to build one. So we ordered some saplings and planted them in my backyard and promised we would come back in the next 20 years to build a tree house in the biggest one..." Your eyes begin to water and you struggle to speak.

"But I don't know if she'll be able to keep that promise. I saved her Flit, I fucking saved her and now she's dying. She's dying and I don't know what to do." Your voice becomes nasally as your nose becomes full and your eyes become wet and heavy, your face turning a bright red as you begin to cry.

"I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose her. I'm supposed to be here to save her, not to watch her die!" Flit puts and hand on your shoulder and pull you into a brotherly hug.

"It's fine. You'll save her Jake. You've gotten this far, you can go the distance Jake. Besides your not in this alone. You've got me, your Dad, Woolf, Carlos, Arnold, everyone. If you need something to save Mellis we'll go to hell and back, maybe pick up some souvenirs along the way."

Your crying to damn hard to say thank you, but he can see it despite seeing doubles of you at this point.

What now Jake?
>>
>>24796432
Cry it out for a bit, keep up the hug.

Then find a comfy couch to crash on and say good night to Ma G.

>>24796432
Have our cry and thank Flit with as little slurring as possible. Then we should crash on some couch somewhere and sleep on our side so that in case we vomit we don't drown in it.

>>24796480
Give me a break. With all the shit Jake has had to deal with, this makes perfect sense. Oh, but I guess you're just too alfalfa to express any emotion.
>>
>>24796432
And we're friends again. Yay! We are going to turn this damn series into a moral on the power of friendship if it fucking kills us. Next stop we rebuild the Crusader to have rocket fists and laser eyes so we can be a proper Super Robot protagonist. I am only partially joking.

Meanwhile, let's catch some sleep. It's like four in the morning, we're drunk as hell, and I'm sure we're tired from the catharsis. Have a good cry, thank Flit for being the awesome guy that he is, then just pass out on one of the couches.
>>
>>24796527
Oh god no anon lets just go to sleep better that way. After all no need for her to panic or find out what actually happened when she went berserk.

You keep the hug until you get dizzy and fall back into the comfy couch cushions. "T-thankss Fi-Flit. Your a pretty awesome guy" you say as you wish out your phone. Dad helps take Carlos and Flit up to some of the guest bedrooms, but leaves you on the couch, you've always preferred them to beds.

Somehow you manage to dial Mellis's cell number and she awnsers the phone.

"Hello"

"Heeey baby I was just talking about you..."

"You sound drunk Jake. Or have you become as stupid as you act?"

"No, I got drunk off my ass. I'm glad I gave you my cape, I'd probably have gotten puke on it by noow. Listen, I just called to say I love you Mellis. Even if you don't give a shit about love, we're still friends."

"...Thanks Jake. When your not acting like a geeky nutjob your...pretty cool."

"Pretty cool? I'm mother fucking Jake Crocker. Who the hell do you think I a-Blah" you spit up onto the floor.

"OK I'm hanging up now. Good night Black Devil

"Night Crimson Witch!" You say and close your phone.

"Are you going to sleep now Jake?" Ma G asks.

"Yep. Good night Ma G, thank you for being there for me"

"It is my purpose to serve my operator I do not need to be thanked...but the gesture is still appreciated."

Stuffing your phone into your pocket, you pass out on the couch.
--------
By the time you wake up it's 4:00 Pm and your head feels like it's going to explode. Your mouth tastes like a party, only everyone was getting as drunk as you were and throwing up.

What will you do now Jake?

You wander over to the bar and chug a pitcher full of water, after that you make coffee and mix it with some alcohol and then drink a class of orange juice for good measure.

You trudge you way upstairs and find a bathroom. You strip your clothes, pop a couple of Neo-Aspirin into your mouth before climbing into the shower and soaking in the hot water for about half an hour.

Your feeling better, but you still feel like shit.

Look around the house for the other members of our drunken moping party. If we see Dad just share a silent gaze of understanding that conveys that even if we're not completely okay, we're back in the game.

Then, head back to the Armstrong and ask about the materials and whether we need to get cracking on the AGE Builder. Actually, have Ma G call ahead to check on that. There are advantages to having a semi-sapient phone.
>>
>>24797250
CHECK IF DESIL RAN OFF!
>>
>>24797137
Well, let's see. Let's call Dr. Spriggan to ask if he's figured anything out about Mellis' condition, hopefully if he's figured out how to fix her. Then let's check on Desil. Then Flit and the other pilots to make see if they're as hung over as we are.
Then we should get back to work preparing for the assault. Maybe even see if we can recruit more MS pilots, since we probably should do that.
>>
>>24797264
Hey now that's not showing trust. If he's going to get reformed he needs to feel like he's accepted.
>>
>>24797271
It's been twelve hours since we checked with him. Let's give Spriggan at least a day before we ask again. Tomorrow morning. But yeah, the rest sounds good.
>>
>>24797297

Let's check on him to see if he's okay (and healing up alright).
>>
We should buy Desil some stuff. After all, we did take away his old clothes.
...boy, that did not come out okay.

Probably get him something to do while his arm heals as well. And inform him of his new staying place.
>>
>>24797368
He's going to be in a hospital bed due to his arms for at least another couple days.
But I do like the idea of getting him sufficiently normal clothes and not a psycho martian jumpsuit. We do have 200 bucks after all, might as well spend it on that.
>>
>>24797208
Yurin is making everyone breakfast, sadly it's not pancakes. You take a couple of the muffins and shove them into your face as you see your Dad happily eating while Flit and Carlos look like they're about to die.

"Hey Flit, if your feeling better later could you look at the CDACE?"

"Sure..." Flit says, coughing and rubbing the side of his.

You give Dad give Dad a nod and flip open Ma G.

"Did I miss anything important Ma-G?"

"The supplies and funds have arrived. We currently have 1500 raw material ingots for the AGE Builders. Vargas has already begun mass producing DODS Rifles and Beam sabers"

"Tell him to start making Anti-Beam Cloaks, and don't let him use up all the ingots on the Zalam/Euba troops, I want to get some stuff done too. I'm going back to the ship to get changed."

"Desil has been moved to the ship for proper treatment."

"Good, I have something to tell him. Speed dial Dr. Spriggan for me"

You leave the mansion, the fresh earth-like air perks you up as you hop inside your Gundam and begin to make your way back to the dock.

"Hello? Dr. Spriggan? It's me Jake, how is everything going?"

"Good and bad. We've found out the cause of the problem. Her implants are sending out magnetic waves that stimulate the X-region of her brain, enhancing her X-rounder powers. At the same time however they seemed to have been set up to increase her aggression and her perception of pain in the presence of X-Rounders. They are quite astounding pieces of technology, the U.E. must have skilled surgeons and machines to do this..."

"Awesome, so you can take them out?"

"No I'm afraid we can't. If we do Mellis would likely be lobotomized in the process. However I know we can fix her condition without removing the implants. We just need to modify the settings of the implants. I don't believe we'll be able to turn them off, but we can adjust them so they won't end up killing her. It'll take time however, if I had notes on the procedure I could work faster"

Maybe we can bring him future Ninja Turtles (the good ones) to watch or something.

"Alright doc, I'll do what I can" You say.

"I believe I've extended her time by a week, the drugs in her body should hamper the implants abilities by starving them of the proteins they take from Mellis as fuel"

"Thank you Doctor, I'll do my best to get some better info" You hang up the phone. You leave your Gundam by the docks as you run into town. You promised to get Desil some proper clothes, maybe you could get him some other stuff too?

You have 200 bucks left Jake, what will you get him?
>>
>>24797534
Looks like we're invading the U.E. base.
>>
>>24797599
Well basic clothing, nothing fancy needed, just a few sets of clothing.

Other stuff to get him, a few toys, maybe a chess set so he can play and utterly trounce some people, a cool hat.
>>
>>24797602
Better get back to work on the data miner. See if MaG and CD can help us code a hacking program or AI for it. Try to tie it to our communications on the Crusader.
>>
>>24797599
Get him the AGE equivalent of a gameboy some games. As for clothes pick what a younger Jake would wear.
>>
>>24797680
'gameboy and some games.' Is what I meant.
>>
>>24797653
> a cool hat
You mean a cape.

But, yeah. Some normal clothes, perhaps some future Bionicles and something to read and/or play.
After that, we're going to make that data miner with the help of MaG and CD.
>>
>>24797599

Clothes for Desil. Also a Space-Gameboy. Or Space PSP. Whichever is better.
He can see that he can kill fictional people and still have fun instead of actual people.
>>
A space DVD Player with Gurren Lagann.
>>
>>24797599
Maybe get him some books? Entertainment that isn't instant gratification and full of explosions. Perhaps the future space version of Harry Potter. Some highly addictive children's novel where the child protagonist is abused and treated like a mere object until he meets people who want to show him that friendship and togetherness can change lives. With magic and adventures so he doesn't get bored. Also it would be funny if he got the totally wrong idea about Earth fauna from the books and believed unicorns were real.
>>
We could probably call mom and ask her to send us our old RPGs and games over.
We were gonna throw that out anyway, might as well give them to him.

You get him a few changes of clothes, stuff you'd probably wear. A cool hat and a nice cape, not as nice as one you have but it's good for now. You get him some toys too, a chess set, a VirtualCon and some games, you try to stick with some of the less violent, but entertaining ones so as not to give him flashbacks. You get him some cartoons and anime to watch and a couple of stories you think he'd like, it's a popular series of fantasy books where the protagonist is abused and treated like a mere object until he meets people who want to show him that friendship and togetherness can change lives. It's sappy and cheesy, but that's just what this kid needs. You grab a chess board and a green teddy bear for good measure and leave the store with about 70 dollars worth of stuff.

Normally you'd think you were spending too much on a kid, but considering he's probably never been given anything that wasn't a killer death machine he deserves to have a piece of actual childhood. As you ride up to the Diva, you ask Mom to mail you some of your old RPGs, books and games over, Desil would probably use them more then you at this point.

Arriving at the Diva you visit Desil in the infirmary which is currently under armed guard. Desil is sitting in bed looking bored and doped up on pain killers, his arms both in heavy looking casts.

"Oh hi..." he says, looking at you with a dazed, but happy expression.

"How are you doing? Feeling any better?"

"My arms don't hurt, but now I can't think straight..." he says with a chuckle.

"Well I got you some stuff, here I'll help you put some of it on" You get him undressed and put him into some proper clothes.

"This stuff feels weird. Weird but...nice" He says, smiling as he wriggles his toes inside of his sneakers.

You proceed to show him some of the stuff you bought him.

(Express postal shuttles are faster then battleships. Besides, Mom can cover the charge. We'll pay her back later).
>>24798219
Despite Desil's previous Hannibal Lecter-escue air to him, you give the kid the toys and he has no idea what to do with them. You spend about several minutes explaining the point of everything to him. After a while he gets it and seems to enjoy the stuff, but the fact he didn't know what real toys were...

Now what would you like to do Jake? How would you like to tell Desil that you found him a new home?
>>
>>24798279
Explain that we found someone who can teach him the basics of society, and make sure to reassure him that this in only until he's healthy. After he's in good health he can come onto the ship.
>>
>>24798356
That, and we're gonna see some battle and we don't want to see him hurt or dead if the ship gets blown up.
>>
>>24798356

How about we just say we found someone to take care of him for awhile? Let's not phrase it like he' some kind of menace (even though he kind of is).
>>
>>24798279
Goof off some with him, he's on painkillers he ought to enjoy playing around some. Tell tall tales of our past, random stories, watch the first episode of an anime we liked when we were a kid with him.

After that we'll talk to him about it. Something along the lines of

"Desil, I asked a bit and I found a home that is willing to take you in. You've been through an awful lot and they're willing to care for you, protect you, teach you about society, that sort of thing."
>>
>>24798407
Sure, but I'm pretty sure he understands now that his way of thinking isn't normal.
>>
>>24798422
Agreed. Also, check if he ate something. Maybe the little guy is hungry.
After that, we'll try to talk it over with him - he needs to know that we're doing this for his own good, not to get rid of him.
>>
>>24798422
You spend about two hours playing around with Desil, watching anime, playing games and just talking about stuff you did as a kid. Eventually you bring up that you found a home for him.

>"Desil, I asked a bit and I found a home that is willing to take you in. You've been through an awful lot and they're willing to care for you, protect you, teach you about society, that sort of thing."

"Your leaving me?" Desil says, looking at the floor.

"Yes, but it's because I want you to stay alive Desil, I want you to stay safe no matter what. Your a smart kid and a good fighter, but it's time for you to be a smart kid instead of a fighter for once. I'll stop by from time to time, I won't disappear completely. Once your a little older and a little more adjusted to things, then you can come along with me. OK?"

Desil perks up at the fact your not trying to get rid of him.

"Are you hungry? I'll grab you something from the mess hall."

"Sure..." Desil nods but as you leave he says something.

"Jake...be careful of Ambat. Those people...they aren't afraid of dying and they don't care if anyone else dies. They will fight until they fall apart and they'll use every weapon at their disposal...I'm not the only X-Rounder they have."

"Thanks Desil. I'll keep that in mind."

You give the kid some proper food and promise to drop him off at his new home in a few hours. Now it's time to get some work done. You decide to get to work on the Data-Miner.

You have some problems with the Data-Miner at first. Making it self-contained and portable to prevent the ship from being a target was a pain in the ass, but with Liz and Dorthy's help you manage to come up with a good design for it. Pretty damn bulky, but it'll do it's job pretty well. It has a 333 Terra-byte memory core and plenty of processor speed.

Now you have lots of projects, you could try and find a way to integrate Ma-G with the Diva, build better weapons, and more. You heard from one of the Engineers that Vargas used the AGE Builder to develop a new weapon and mode for the Diva. They've actually called Madorna and asked him to bring his workshop to Minsry so he can help with the refit.

You have a lot of options on hand...
