LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Gundam%20AGE%20Quest
-----------------------
Your name is Jake Crocker and yesterday you managed to, stop a mobile armor from destroying the colony, captured the boy responsible for Mellis’s capture and modification (Desil), and not only managed to reform him and find him a new home, but managed to get completely shit-faced and got into a fist fight with Flit over Desil staying with Yurin and breaking down over your fear of losing Mellis to her implants. You are now standing in the hanger of the Armstrong after completing your Data-Miner. Previously you hung out with Desil and gave him some actual children’s clothes and toys, promising him to take him to his new home once you were finished in the hanger.

You have a lot of options available to you now that you have the money and supplies. What will you do?

Send Flit to reverse engineer CD's cannons while working with the AGE builder to create nanomachines. Their purpose is to essentially be the self repair devices.

Fuck yes, Gundam AGE Quest!

Okay, first of all: Can we use that data miner we just built to dig through whatever is stored on the captured UE suits?
Maybe we find some data about their command structure, base of operations and so on.

Second, we should call Flit over to check out the CDACE - possibly the cannons.

We should also call in the pirates, check if they're up for a battle against the UE.
If they are, they should come over with their supplies so they can get a proper upgrade as well.

And finally, we upgrade the Armstrong so it can house MaG.

Let's try to integrate Ma G with the Diva. The Armstrong is out due to it not being advanced enough, but the Diva might be different.
Since Madorna is going to relocate to Minsry, we should make some kickass weapons to mount on it with the AGE builder.
We also should make some practical way to utilize that Mega Beam Cannon we traded the Vagan data for.
>>
>>24807876
Also, while we're making stuff:
Can we create some automated drones that would help us with repairs, fabrication and salvaging?
These things could even do field repairs and resupply the MS in the field.
>>
What if we make a new machine combining the specs of the currently known suits?
>>
>>24808008
That sounds expensive. Might not be with the AGE builder, but we can see if it's a viable option to make a Legendary Gundam Mk. II.
We'll call it: "Inquisition Gundam".
In truth, we'd be better off making a bunch of copies of the AGE-1.
>>
>>24808008
>What if we make a new machine combining the specs of the currently known suits?

You probably could, but the results may very. Your not very sure how well certain designs will mix. On top of that the production would be rather pricey in terms of materials and you shouldn't waste too much on experimentation.

>>24807876
>Can we use that data miner we just built to dig through whatever is stored on the captured UE suits?
Maybe we find some data about their command structure, base of operations and so on.

The engineers already pulled everything they could off the U.E. or rather "Vagan" suits. They found out about the additional sub-facilities around Ambat but not much else. They are currently looking over Desil's disabled black suit or "Zedas" as he called it.

>>24807861
>Send Flit to reverse engineer CD's cannons while working with the AGE builder to create nano-machines. Their purpose is to essentially be the self repair devices.

Flit was nursing a hang over the last time you saw him, but he said he'd get to it when he could. That was about 4 hours ago so he's probably still working on it. As for Nano-Machines...the AGE Builder can't build on that kind of level. It's a fantastic machine, but it's not that good.

>>24807929
>Can we create some automated drones that would help us with repairs, fabrication and salvaging? These things could even do field repairs and resupply the MS in the field.

The idea is intriguing, but the A.I for them would take far too long to program and they'd cost more then they'd probably be able to put out. However maybe you could make some repair drones for Ma G to control if she can be installed onto the Diva.

We also should make some practical way to utilize that Mega Beam Cannon we traded the Vagan data for.

You go over to the Diva and ask Millais Alloy if you can look over the Diva's computer systems to see if you can install Ma G into the ship.

She agrees and allows you access to the ships systems. The Diva's computer core is top of the line and could absolutely house Ma G, however if you install her she can't help you in battle and will be tied to the Diva's systems.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24808129
Can Ma G create subordinate AI which is basically a stripped down copy of herself? At the moment being separated is not a good idea.
>>
>>24808129
We need MaG for now, our piloting sucks.

Can we examine those attack bots the Farsia used? Maybe create a module for our Gundam based on those things?
If they can't help us with the attack, they could at least distract the enemy or take a shot instead of us.
They don't have to be fully functional AIs, some basic combat scripts from the video games would do the trick just fine.
>>
>>24808197
The Farsia's "Bits" as they are listed aren't controlled by A.I's or any computer system. They're equipped with recievers that react to specialized frequencies. From what you could tell and from what Desil told you, these bits can only be controlled and directed by an X-Rounder.

>>24808166
Ma G can't copy herself due to her being a Learning Computer, but she can create "Dumb" A.I's simple and rather limited Artificial Intelligence's with little learning capabilities. Ma G explains that this is a safety measure to prevent A.I's from duplicating themselves and spreading panic.
>>
>>24808197
What I'd like to get from the Farsia's bits are the miniaturized reactors. I'm wondering if we could combine use multiple smaller reactors instead of one big one. We could give each limb its own powerplant, which would reduce overall volatility since each one would have a lower output. Also, it would mean that our power systems would be decentralized and hard to disable.

Also, the beam guns are pretty good. They can combine output together to make blasts of scaling power. See if we can do anything with that to make a modular attachment to the DODS rifle to increase firepower. Let's see if we can get the Daidal Bazooka two generations early.
>>
>>24808306
A 'dumb' AI is still pretty good. Go for it.
>>
>>24808306
Some expert systems could be useful. Could she integrate them with the XM3 to make a combat OS that can improve pilot skill and suit mobility without needing sapient assistance?

We could get automated turrets that are more accurate, improved repairs and so on. Hell, let's turn our ships into goddamn Reapers.

>>24808326
The miniature reactor idea sounds awesome. Maybe we could even implement them in our weaponry, increasing their power output.
The idea for combining multiple beams into one mega beam is also bitchin'. We could use the 'dumb' AIs to properly control those things.
>>

That could work. I'm thinking something like the Berserkers from Saberhagan's books, though obviously without the "kill all life" thing. Several networked dumb AI that all control a shared set of functions.

Yeah, I like this idea. We get multiple AIs, network them together, give each group a specific function, and create a supervisor AI that manages them.
The supervisor AI also provides necessary information to the crew, asking for orders and such - it's his duty to maximize the efficiency of those orders.
So, we could have AIs that monitor the sensors, AIs that manage cannon fire and so on.

>>
>>24808326
The miniaturize generators idea sounds very good, improving power and functionality while making your suit harder to disable. However the additional generators would make your suit more sensitive. If anything hits the miniaturized reactors they are going to blow sky high, taking you and your suit with it.

As for combining beams, the Frasia's bits flew together and fired a higher-grade beam blast by firing all at once. You could experiment

>>24808409
A 'dumb' A.I can only handle simple tasks, making a couple and networking them together could help improve the Diva's Systems, Navigation, Weapon Systems and AA Systems, est. Each 'dumb' A.I doing a diffrent job. However they can't be used in mobile suits. You could add them inside but there combat ability would be a joke, these things could probably only serve as automated turrets.

Even making dumb A.I's and modifying the Diva's systems will take at least a week and keep Ma G occupied the whole time.

What will you do Jake
>>
>>24808631
We already have a pseudo-learning system in the XM3's adaptability to the pilot's preferred combat style. We throw on an AI node and we could potentially upgrade performance considerably. But I think that's something for after Ambat. Seems like it'll take more than two weeks to implement.
>>
>>24808658
i say we do it, and while she's doing that we can work on building more weapons and raising piloting skill.
>>
>>24808709
Ah true what a pity but can you imagine it...entire factories churning out our troops and massive servers producing the A.I. to control them.

>>24808658
Can we place some back up sensors in other places besides our head? I would rather not go blind if we get hit there. Another idea is can we maybe slap some turrets on our mech such as shoulders just have them automated or something with dumb A.I. possibly.
>>
>>24808842
In addition to this we really should contact those pirates so we can work on the whole team work thing and get them weapons.
>>
>>24808658
>If anything hits the miniaturized reactors they are going to blow sky high, taking you and your suit with it.
Ah, well, it was worth asking. I suppose Gundam does tend to have reactors with ridiculously high excess reactivity. Maybe next generation it'll be safe enough to mount multiple reactors. Though it could still be viable to install one in a high-powered energy weapon to improve performance

In regards to the combining beams, I figured there had to have been more than just "all fire at once" as the show depicts the individual barrels angling in at each other rather than aligning parallel. So there's probably something we can get with combined plasma fields or some such business out of them.

>What will you do Jake
I say go for the AI. We're going to be tied up for the next week anyway. We need the practice without Ma G's help, too. We're not really a SUPAH PIRATOH if we need AI assitance.
>>
>>24808658
We should relegate the dummy AI project for after Ambat.
Let's ask Ma G if she can upgrade the performance of the Diva in battle without needing to directly be interfaced with it as combat is occurring.
>>
>>24808854
>Can we place some back up sensors in other places besides our head?
Vagan mobile suits use panoramic cockpits, and we did capture the Farsia intact. We could try duplicating that system on the Crusader.
>>
>>24808658
We should call in the pirates. They could use some upgrades, and they probably have their own resources we could pool together.
Besides, there's also the chance they have some black market tech we could use.

If we go for making the AIs, can we ask both MaG and CD to work on them?
They're both advanced AIs, they could speed things up a bit.

>>24808970
Also this.
>>
>>24808994
CD strikes me as a much more dedicated-purpose AI than Ma G. It might have trouble adapting its programming to new roles.
>>
>>24809165
Yes, but he's perfect if we're making AIs for combat roles - we don't have to start from scratch, we have him as a template.
We don't need to create an entire copy of him, just the parts of him that work on tracking targets, opening fire and so on.
>>
>>24809216
He can be a fantastic troop transport for AI units. Like, CDACE could serve as the "master" AI for a bunch of stripped down ones, since he seems capable of it already due to his command of the remote capture units.
>>
>>24809165
Rather that use his intelligence Ma G could use his processing power.

Automated Mobile suits...that reminds you of some of the stuff they supposedly had during the Colony Nation Wars. Could that be why it was so terrible? Merciless, soulless and priority driven machines committing atrocities and death? Ma G is pretty powerful, could there have been more like her?

>Can we place some back up sensors in other places besides our head?

The Gundam, and most other mobile suits have cameras and sensors all over it's body, however losing the main camera limits you to the ones on the suit, making it harder to see.

>>24808947
(Example picture of the Frasia's Bits combining their beams for a stronger attack). Your sure there's a way to increase the power of a beam weapon with other beams, it'll just need some experimenting, probably with alignment, power and the strength of the beams.

>>24808970
You'll need to ask Grodek if it's alright to upgrade the Diva's systems with Dumb A.I's. He'll probably allow you to start work when Madorna Workshop arrives It'll be that much easier to have the work done with more hands to help. As for CDACE, Ma G says he's somewhat limited in terms of programming. He's still a Quantum A.I. and is capable of learning, but he's had much less time to develop due to being 'asleep' for 115 some years.

>>24808970
Leaving the Diva you return to the hanger and examine the cockpit of the Frasia and the damaged cockpit of the Zedra. Both are Panoramic and give a wider range of view. You could upgrade the Crusaders cockpit and sensors to make this possible.

With a little analysis you find that it's totally possible, actually it's surprisingly easy. All you had to do was replicate a similar cockpit, rework some of the control configurations and some extra connection cables and you could use the panoramic cockpit without having to add any additional sensors.

>Can we examine CD's drones and their reactors? Maybe that'll give us some ideas for that drone system.

Flit is probably already examining them, actually once your finished with the cockpit you decide to give him a call.

"Hey Flit? You working on CD yet?"

"Yeah..." he says, obviously still feeling like garbage. "I had it land and looked over everything while it refueled. It's weapon systems are limited to thirty wired beam cannons and a Neutron Collapser, which is basically an Anti-Fleet Energy Shotgun. Fires a unfocused blast of energy. It's inaccurate, slow to charge due to the tremendous energy, but it'll destroy just about anything it hits. The armor is heavily shielded against EMPs and is reinforced enough that it can shrug off most beam and physical attacks."

"What about it's drones?"

"There remote controlled via microwave/laser communications. They run high power re-chargeable batteries. They aren't supposed to leave the mobile armors side for very long so there hour, hour and a half operation time works fine for what there supposed to do. All they need to do is come back and recharge from the MA's reactor and they can go back out."

What do you want to do now Jake?
>>
>>24809701
I guess we should install the panoramic view into the other mobile suits eventually.
For now, let's see if we can somehow manage to combine multiple DODS beams into one.

As for the drones, we could use something similar.
They'd get their power by recharging on the Gundam, and we could use some small AI to control them.
>>
>>24809812
What about a DODS gattling gun?

Fuck. Yes.
We should also try to make some sort of DODS shotgun based on that Neutron Collapser.

Thank Flit for his help. He's been doing engineering work with a hangover. Just because we also have doesn't mean we shouldn't show gratitude.

Also, we should ask him if he wants the data we've got on refitting cockpits to panoramic designs. He's an X-Rounder, anything that lets him respond more easily is something he should want.

After that, I'd like to look into Vagan thruster systems. Can we quickly fab some stand-alone systems for the Vagan thrusters, standard thruster systems, and the enhanced ones on the Spallow? I'd like to do some tests to compare specific impulse and acceleration before we do any modifications in that area. Afterwards, just feed them to the recycler to get the materials back. Come to think of it, Flit would probably be interested in whatever results we get from that, too. The Spallow always seemed to be his preferred wear pack from the first generation arc.

We don't even need to do any major engineering. The Gafran we salvaged already has a rear-pointing beam rifle turret for a tail. We'd just need to set up an auto-targeting system.
>>
>>24810182
Can we add a tail to our Gundam that has something like that?
An automated tail turret. We could also add some vibroblades on it, so we can whip things with it as well.
>>
>>24810182
Ooh, and we could add some automated beam vulcans to deal with bits in case the Vagans deploy any more X-Rounder specialized suits. Maybe a "point-defense cowl" could be a good investment.
>>
>>24809812
Drones can't be mounted on a Gundam, they'd drain too much power, besides the control system would be a nightmare. You don't want to think about the amount of programming that would take. The most you can manage now are repair drones for the Diva and even those will be simple ones.

>>24809884
You thank Flit for working with a hangover and ask if he wants the data on the panoramic cockpit you installed in your Gundam.

"Absolutely. A Panoramic display would increase the field of vision a pilot would have. Once I look it over I'll have Vargas put them into production along with the DODS Rifles, Beam Sabers and Anti-Beam Cloaks.

>>24810068
>Can we create a miniature version of the Neutron collasper?
"I doubt it" Flit says. "Not in the time we have anyway. This Mobile Armor was practically built around the damn thing. Miniaturizing it and assembling it would be a nightmare"

>>24809884
The Vagan thrusters are unusual. They still utilize plasma fuel, but instead of producing heat and propulsion, it produces light and propulsion. This makes Vagan suits run cold while giving them all the speed and maneuverability standard thrusters would have, and all without the risk of over heating. However you do notice that standard thruster seems to have a better overall maximum output compared to the "Light Thrusters". The exact science behind it absolutely alludes you, but it's amazing none the less.

You spend an hour tinkering around with them and feed them into the recycler for the material back. You send the data to Flit to look over while

>>24809848
>>24809873
You could try making a DODS Shotgun and DODS Gatling gun, the whole principle of the DODS rifle is that the beam energy is 'spun' like a drill for added penetration apposed to other beam weapons. All you have to do is keep the spin and you can make these.

>DODS Shotgun: 98, 21, 9, 60, 68

You have some trouble with the DODS Gatling gun, but manage to make downsize the beam emitters and focusers, sacrificing a 20% of the DODS Rifles range and damage for 80% more firing speed and penetration. It eats up energy like no bodies business though, limiting it's usage.

You can't figure out the DODS Shotgun for the life of you though. You have an idea of how to scatter the beam, but you don't know how to keep the spin.

It's getting pretty late. You woke up late as it was. It's 10:45 PM and you promised to take Desil to his new home. After today you will have 1 week and five days to prepare.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24810545
We should probably call Flit to check out our designs for the shotgun and the Gatling gun, possibly improve on the schematics.
Then, we go get Desil.
>>
>>24810545
Before taking him to his new home take him around town. Give him some good memories.
>>
>>24810599
I like this. Let's take the scenic route to the house so that it doesn't look like we're in a hurry to get rid of him.
>>
>>24810599
Agreed. We could probably give him a piggyback ride.
>>
>>24810545
Take Desil to his new home, and say our goodbyes to the squirt.

Once that's done, I suggest we begin work on the Excalibuster. (This thing: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24749287/#p24754765 )
>>
>>24810706
That is cool, but how will we work that into the context of the situation? Do we play with Desil for a little bit, he draws a crude representation of it, gives it to us, and BAM, inspiration strikes?
>>
We probably should've made some DODS sniper rifles as well.
>>
>>24810891
We already retooled to sniper mode for Arnold. It probably isn't a hard modification to do.
>>
>>24810943
So, could a DODS rifle have multiple firing modes?

A small modification to the already existing guns, and we get rifle/shotgun or rifle/sniper modes of fire.
We could probably include that Gatling mode as some sort of assault DODS rifle.
>>
Rolled 16

>>24810545
Another idea to use: coat the front and back of every MS's shield with the anti-beam coating. That should give our pilots a better chance of surviving or at least lasting longer in the assault. Work with Flit to make a secondary reactor to feed the Gatling. Maybe as part of a cowl...
>>
>>24811000
Technically, the regular DODS Rifle has a standard and long range mode already.
>>
>>24811052
We could also throw some turrets on the shield, or something based on that Titus cowl - some sort of mini-flashbang or something that'd screw up the attacking unit.
Our dad would probably have a couple of ideas for something like that.

>>24811076
Didn't know that. So, we only have minor adjustments to make if we're going with multiple weapons integrated in one.
>>
>>24811164
I remember that one of Madorna's custom jobs has a "flash gun". So, again, it probably doesn't need any new engineering.
>>
Rolled 15

>>24811164
Turrets? On a shield? Not a good idea. Most pilots' first reaction to incoming MS or beam fire would be to maneuver and present their shield. A beam emitter along the edges might work, using it at close range like a secondary beam saber. Testing something like that might take more time than Jake has, though. There's a ton of shit to get done.
>>
>>24808042
Stick to the Crusades theme-naming. Name it like, Gundam Ascalon or Gundam Jaffa or something.
>>
>>24810891
>>24811076
DODS Sniper Rifle has about three times the range of the 'Long Range Mode' of the original DODS Rifle but requires enhanced sensors to use properly, Arnolds suit was basically built for sniping. Modifying other units to use them could take time and resources your not sure you have.

>>24811000
>>24810578
A Multi-Mode DODS rifle is possible but the modifications would be far from small and mass producing them at the moment would probably not be wise unless you like handing out untested, faulty equipment before a major battle. Besides after sending Flit the designs for the DODS Gatling and Shotgun, even he doesn't know how to get a DODS shotgun to work. However that is a good idea for later.

>>24811052
The shields of the CMS-223Z Zila and CMS-574X Xeno are already being coated with Anti-Beam coating. This plus the Anti-Beam Cowls the Diva's AGE Builder is making will increase their survivability in combat.

Improving the ammo capacity of the DODS Gatling Gun could be improved by adding battery extensions, but a reactor pack would be more worth while in terms of energy for the Gatling Gun.

>>24811164
Dad already has a custom grenade launcher on his J-Exes with flash bangs, goo grenades and many other 'trick' grenades.

DODS Gatling Gun- Completed, Additional Reactor pack required for proper usage.
DODS Shotgun- Design ineffective, unable to spin the energy properly. It’s a scattering beam gun, but not a proper DODS shotgun.
Multi-Mode DODS- Possible, but DODS design will need to be more solid. Available after the Battle of Ambat.
>>24810841
You decide it's time to take Desil to his new home. But you decide not to take him straight there, you wanna have some fun with him and leave him with some good memories in case you don't come back.
(Continued)
>>
>>24811677
You pack up the stuff you bought for Desil into a bag and walk him out of the ship, letting the kid ride on top of your shoulders while being careful of the act both his arms are in casts. You walk around town with Desil on your shoulders, showing him the sights and the sounds you've sampled over your time in the colony. Most of the stores are closed due to how late it's been, but you manage to work up enough gall to take him by the lake.

"Wow!" he exclaims, looking out across the large but calm body of water, the stars in the night 'sky' reflecting off the water to produce a beautiful late night sight. Desil seems to love the water and you manage to bite your tongue so he can enjoy himself.

"Are you OK?" He asks, looking down at you as you fidget uncomfortably.

"Yeah it's just...I don't like the water, like, at all" You admit.

"Really? Why not?"

"I just...I don't. Every-time I'm around the stuff I freeze up. When I was around your age I almost drowned at the colony pool after I wandered into the deep end. Every since I've been too afraid to go into anything deeper then a puddle."

"...Just because your afraid of getting hurt, doesn't mean you shouldn't try something. If I left my fear do that to me I wouldn't be here with you Jake."

"Desil..." you say, surpried at the seven year olds insight.

"When you come back you have to promise me you'll go swimming with me. OK?"

You bite your tongue and look down at the cold, deep, malicious water and back up at the now quite amiable looking Desil and let out a sigh.

"Fine, but if I drown I'm coming back as a ghost to haunt your little ass. Got me?" You say with a grin.

"Yaaaaay!" Desil cheers.

You mess around with Desil a little more and talk about mobile suits. He describes what he thought of your sword, but he seems to have gotten the details all mixed up. The last time you checked the Excalibur didn't have beam emitters built into the edges of the blade...but that's a really kickass idea!

We should probably ask the little guy about his family.
I mean, are they okay with him being a solider? Does he have a brother or a sister?
>>
>>24812053
If need be, WE'LL be his family. Crazy buggers sacrificing their children as soldier before they are even ready. Besides.. we can secretly get him into LARPing. Give him a constructive use for that energy.. which we can tease him with for years to come.
>>
>>24812053
He's being adopted by Alzack Birmings, iirc. Yurin will be his sister. I doubt they're okay with him formerly being a Vagan soldier, but they'll probably manage.
>>
>>24811987
As you walk Desil to the mansion, you ask him about his family.

"I have a mother, father and lots of brothers but I didn't really know them. When they found out I was an X-Rounder they sold me to the military. That happens a lot I think. X-Rounders are very valued by the military, so they try to buy us up to train us to be the best."

"Well don't worry about that now. We'll be your family from here on out and I'm sure as hell not going to sell you."

Eventually you arrive at the mansion and proceed inside. Thankfully the cold and rather awkward Mr. Birmings isn’t waiting for you and Desil. Instead you find Yurin waiting for you by the door. “Hello Jake, I was expecting you.” She smiles and kneels down to meet Desil at eye-level.

“You must be Desil. I’m Yurin.” Desil takes a step back, looking scared, conflicted and…guilty.

“Listen, Yurin I think there’s something you should know…” you scratch the back of your head trying to think of a way to properly explain this.

“Oh I know, he was the one who attacked me and Flit at the Nora
colony” She says with a understanding smile.

“Wait, you knew?” Desil asks, a look of surprise replacing his look of fear.

“I didn’t know you name or what you looked like, but I felt you were the same person. At first I was a little afraid, but after hearing from Jake what you’ve been through I realized you and I are a lot alike. So I’d be happy to look after you Desil. Mr. Birmings isn’t a very understand, but I think with both of us here it’ll feel more like a home. So…do you want to stay here with me Desil?” Yurin smiles and offers a hand to the seven year old.
You’re a little amazed at how calm and accepting Yurin is in the face of the person who tried to kill her and probably planned something pretty nasty for her to get back at Flit.

Slowly, Desil moves towards Yurin and reaches out to her hand. “I’m sorry…” he says, getting misty eyed.

“There’s nothing to be sorry about. Now let’s try to forget the bad memories between us and work on making good ones. OK Desil?”

Desil walks forward and hugs Yurin, well hugs her the best he can with two broken arms.

Do you have anything you want to say to Desil before leaving?
>>
>>24812564
Tell him to not stress about what he's done before and to just enjoy being a kid. After that back to Ma G to see if she needs any input.
>>
>>24812564
"Make sure to listen to your doctors so you can heal up quickly, alright Desil? Don't eat anything under the sink, don't talk to strangers, and don't stay up past bedtime. I'll come visit after we take down the Vagan at Ambat."
>>
>>24812564
"From here on out Desil, you've been given a chance at a new life. A -better- life. One where you can finally have an actual childhood, and not have to experience the kind of horrors a war can bring."

"From here on out, -you- will be the one that decides how you will turn out, you will be the one that will decide what you want to do with your life. No one can tell you what you can and cannot be, but I'm sure that whatever you decide to do with your life, it will be the right choice."

Then give him the manliest of hugs we can muster without aggravating his injuries.

"Okay, listen here little bro."
"From now on, you're done with being a soldier, and you're starting with being a kid, got it? So act and play and have some goddamn fun - you deserved it."
"I'll come visit you again, I'll be getting some awesome stuff that I know you'll love. Who knows, maybe one day you'll grow up to be as awesome as me."
"Bur for now, enjoy your childhood, have fun and take care of yourself and those you care about."

Then give him your drill-necklace (yes, we do have a drill necklace).
"This drill is the drill that'll pierce the heavens, and I trust you with it, got it?"

And then, to Yurin:
"You know, Flit is a lucky guy. Please, take care of the little man, and thanks again for doing this."

And to Yurin: "Thank you, Yurin. You didn't have to do this, and it says a lot about you that you did. I already thought you were a good person, and this just strengthens my opinion of you. If you ever need anything, I am in your debt."

DODS rail gun? Trying to spin the round would slow it down and drastically increase wear on the barrel.
>>
>>24813331
We have that data miner - maybe we could upgrade it a bit so it scrambles enemy communications or disables their suits?
Cyberwarfare ho!
>>
>>24813354
For a railgun, yeah, but it wouldn't be that hard to do it with a coilgun. I'd assume our EM crossbow already does it. That's not to say a DODS-based round wouldn't be useful. Maybe a tandem-fused system for dealing with the Electromagnetic Armor the heavier Vagan suits have? A small EMP generator to weaken the field followed by a single-shot DODS charge could make for a pretty nice anti-force field round. Probably be too expensive to make in large numbers, though.

Like a bomb-pumped laser? Could Jake even develop something like that in 2 weeks, though? The round would need to contain an EM pulse generator, a containment field for the energy round, a projector to focus the beam properly, AND EMP shielding so that the MP pulse doesn't fry the bolt's electronics. That's one hell of a tall order.

Making sure your out of earshot of anyone you fist pump the air and run down the path, whooping and hollering like you just won the lottery.

Back on the ship you check up on the production of the DODS Rifles, Beam Sabers and Anti-Beam Cowls. They've been running both AGE Builders all day and you've got a lot done. They plan on making extras, but they should have the Zalam/Euba mobile suits completely decked out by the end of tomorrow.

>>24813356
The Data-Miner is only really good for siphoning data from large, none-mobile data banks like the ones that should be at Ambat. As much as you'd like it to do that with upgrades, you don't see that happening.

>>24813422
EMP's are risky business, you bet a lot building small ones into Ballista bolts. You don't want to mess with EMP's anymore then you have too, besides there has to be another way around that tougher Vagan suits armor. If you remember correctly the "Assault" types are called Baqto from what you recall from Desil. Not even DODS rifles could hurt them, but your bolts seemed to hit them just fine, so it's probably just an Anti-Beam countermeasure system. Your curious to see how your Ballita would handle against an Baqto...

>>24813516
You you haven't given up on the DODS shotgun. You managed to create a Beam Shotgun, it's just the spinning part that's getting to you. You'll take another swing at it tomorrow, maybe a good nights rest. In the mean time you could build that reactor pack for the DODS Gatling Gun.

(Roll 1d100 vs Engineering Skill. 55 or lower will succeed. 1 is critical success and 100 is a critical failure. Passing this skill check will result in an additional +1 point in Engineering)

Building the reactor pack wasn't too hard. You had to adjust the output levels several times and add some better insulated cables, but overall it's a success. The pack is big enough to provide proper power to the DODS Gatling Gun, but not so big it's encumbering. It's a little heavy, but you add some thrusters to the pack and a fast-detachment system to even things out. One hit and that pack will explode but lets see if the Vagan can GET that close with whoever is wielding a DODS Gatling. The pack has been added to the design plans and will be made along with the DODS Gatling everytime it's ordered up by the AGE Builder.

You decide to wonder next door to the Diva to see how things are coming. You see the AGE-1 Unit 2 is still being worked on, panels are open and numerous cables are leading from the cockpit. You see four new AGE Wears and decide to check them out.

First is the AGE-1BZ Gundam AGE-1 Beelzerga, which is basically the AGE-1 with more armor and an improved version of that 'pizza cutter' Flit used to cut up some Baqtos.

Second is the AGE-1GL Gundam AGE-1 Goliath which appears to be based around defense. It's equipped with electromagnetic field generators in it's shoulders, able to produce a similar, if not better effect then the Baqto's Electromagnetic armor. However the Field interferes with the suits own weapons, forcing it to use it's fists and feet.

Third is the AGE-1BB Gundam AGE-1 Brocka which is a mix between the Titus and Sparrow Wears. Fast, but strong and with plenty of defense, kind of like a boxer. It's armed with a DODS Knuckle for greater bunching damage.

The last one is listed as "Ambat Battle Type AGE-1BA Gundam AGE-1 Badlan" and appears to have experimental remote weapons like the ones on the Frasia.

You snag the data on the DODS Knuckle to play with later and see a young blond hair girl looking rather glum.

What will you do Jake?

"Hello there sad looking child, didn't notice you there. I was distracted by engineering.

I'm Jake and you are?"

After getting a response ask her what's up with her, what she's doing here, why she's looks so glum.

>>24814026
Woo, looks like the AGE Builder's been busy. All the experimentation we've done with its capabilities must have jump started the evolutionary design program's output.

As for the issue of the girl, look for Dique and Vargas. They're probably the ones messing about in the cockpit. Go up with the excuse of asking about the work they're doing on the AGE-1.2 and then, just as an aside, ask who the girl in the engineering bay is, you don't think you've ever seen her before. From there, we can raise the issue of her looking sad. Maybe you should go talk to your granddaughter, Vargas.
>>
If we get the Dods tech tree maxed out oh gods gen 2 will be broken also dods melee weapons all of my money
>>
>>24814026
Ask her what's up.
>>
>>24814026
Go talk to her. While you're in the area, snag the data on the electro-mag generators. With some effort Jake might be able to restrict the field's interference and mount generators on his shield or cowls.
>>
>>24814294
And we might be able to increase the power of the EM bolt weapons.
>>
>>24814330
True, but I was thinking of using them for a heavy assault cowl based on the Solid Cowl and Titus Cowl. Rather than beam emitters, integrate electro-mag generators into the cowl plates for added protection. Then equip the DODS Gatling with it for more firepower. Mount a Mega Beam Launcher on one of the shoulders for heavier targets. It'll cut down on the Crusader's acceleration and maneuverability, but the extra protection might be a worthwhile tradeoff.

You snag the data on the Electro-Mag Generators as well before going over to the girl.

"Hello. I'm Jake Crocker from the Armstrong, are you OK?"

"Huh? Oh I'm fine. My name is Emily Dyson, I'm Vargas's Grandaughter" the girl feigns a smile but something is obviously bugging her.

"Come on, don't lie to me. Just tell me what's on your chest, I'm good at helping people. Besides I'm only 15 so your not much younger then me..."

"Well..." the girl pauses for a moment, wondering if she should say what's on her mind. "I feel Flit's been ignoring me lately. Every time I catch him when he's not busy he always says he has other plans."

"Well we are preparing for a major battle..."

"It's not just that" Emily shakes her head. "It's like he doesn't want to be around me anymore. Every since we escaped from Nora he's been acting differently. I understand he wants to defeat the U.E. and become a saviour but...I just feel so useless around him. Like nothing I can do will make things like they used to be where he actually seemed to like me." Emily frowns, obviously struggling with what to do.

What do you do Jake?
>>
>>24814503
Tell her that instead of moping she should be proactive. Suggest working with the mechanics so that she can interact with Flit on a more regular basis.

Time for manipulations.
>>
>>24814503
Try to support Flit in what he likes and is doing. If you just hope he'll notice you by being a wallflower, you'll only end up with disappointment.
>>
>>24814503
"I see. Hey, are you trained in mechanics or computer engineering? Maybe you can help Flit and the rest of us out. Sitting here feeling down isn't going to do anyone any good, especially not yourself."
>>
>>24814503
"I have a feeling you and Flit go way back. What's your story?"
>>
>>24814503
Talk to the girl, dispense sage wisdom.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing you're something like his childhood friend, it's not really a hard guess given what you already said.

My take on the situation is that he's growing up, and trying to grow up faster than he should. He's under a fair bit of stress, he has a lot of people he wants to protect, and he's trying to be mature and strong for them, he really is a remarkable kid.

People change, they drift apart and come back together, they find the things they truly care about and what they are willing to fight for. It happens. You should give up on making things like 'they used to be', it just doesn't work, he's grown up, you've grown up, don't get lost in the past.

If you want to be a bigger part of his life then you should work at it. Read up on engineering, help out the mechanics, they can always need someone with nimble small fingers for the finicky bits, talk to him.

But above all else if you want him to pay attention to you and like you then you have to pay attention to yourself and like yourself. Find your passion, find what you want to happen and devote yourself to it. Good, stable relationships of any kind don't come from two people focusing solely on each other or one person just following the other. Both parties have to have a dream, things they want, things they're passionate about, they have to be their own person. When that happens and somewhere along the line they find they match each other they can see each other as equals which is the foundation of any friendship, love, or rivalry."

"Hey, don't think like that. I'm sure Flit wouldn't just abandon you. I think he's just having a bit of an identity crisis. I haven't known Flit that long, but I can tell that building the Gundam and defeating the UE has been a big defining thing in his life. But now, even if we don't defeat the UE entirely, we're still going to drive them back far enough for him to finally relax and think about other things. And I don't think he really knows what else he's going to do with his life, so he's gotten all introspective and distant. But he'll come out of it. Especially if he's got you and Dique and all his other friends there for him. At some point he's going to realize that just because he needs to take his life in a new direction doesn't mean he has to leave the people he cares about behind. As long as you stay in there and keep making the effort to connect to him and show him people care about him for reasons other than piloting the Gundam, he'll come around.

Canon description time in regards to Emily.

Childhood friend to both Flit and Dique. When Flit decides to focus on piloting the Gundam, she's very very against the idea. It's only before the Ambat Assault does she finally realizes to let him go fight...and ends up picking up the pieces after the battle. Also, she has a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. She witnessed Grodek executing the Diva crew AND Grodek scrambling the Fed's information network in the local area to get them off the Diva's trail..

in summary: silver reward waifu, but very supportive knowing how much Flit was hurting after Ambat.
>>
>>24814609
>>24814650

"Me and Flit have been friends since I can remember. My parents were killed during the Day The Angel Fell, so were Flit's. I had Grandpa Vargas to stay with, but Flit didn't have anyone. I had trouble making friends along with Dique so it was just me, Flit and Dique for as long as I can remember."

"You guys were pretty tight? Well I'm sure he won't forget that. He's just stressed out and trying to protect the people he loves, like you, Dique and Yurin" You say with a smile.

"Yurin?" Emily raises an eyebrow in confusion.

"Yeah she's this girl living on the colony. She and Flit met at Nora the day you guys evacuated from what I understand. They've really taking a liking to each other, but don't worry you and Flit will always remain friends."

Emily smiles a little, but seems troubled by mention of Yurin and Flit together.

"If you want to come closer to Flit support him in what he does. Are you good with machines or mechanics at all?"

"I'm no good with machines but I want to help Flit...do you think you could teach me...teach me how to fight?

Well Jake?

>>

First make sure she understands that a battlefield isn't kind or nice, there are no babysitters and if she decides to go out she may die.
Also impress upon her that in no way is she to attempt to sacrifice herself by taking a beam saber or bullet for Flit. Period. She's not 17 and Brown enough to do shit like that.,
>>

"I suppose, but I think you should consider your other options first. There are a hell of a lot more roles in a military situation than just engineer and pilot. Tell me about your interests and skills. For all we know you've got the makings of a great soldier in you and just don't know it."

Flit and I got lucky given we were in Gundams, and even then, Flit had additional help, from what I heard."

>>This is a horrible way to resolve the love triangle. Quit it.
We don't intent to kill her, you presumptuous faggot.
>>
>>24814885
"I can't do that. I can understand that you want to do what you can to help Flit, but aren't you even considering what he might think of your idea? What about your Grandpa?"

"You heart is in the right place, but you need to understand that the battlefield isn't the place for everyone. I couldn't live with myself if I let you get killed in battle because I decided to teach you how to use one of these mobile suits in the first place. I'm sorry."
>>
>>24814885
"I probably could, though honestly you'd be better off with my Dad, the Jack of Pumpkins, or Woolf teaching you, they're better pilots than I am. I'm an engineer at heart in many ways, I just happen to be completely insane and have an AI to help out which makes me into an erratic but reasonably good pilot. I'm not saying I will, I'm saying that I could.

I do have a few questions for you though. Have you ever piloted a MS or done any sims? Are you willing to kill? To know that you are the cause of another sentient being dying?

Are you doing this just so you can follow Flit and be by his side? Is this what you want for yourself or are you just trying to keep him from getting hurt? What is your motivation to fight?

If you go into this fight just to protect Flit chances are you will die. And not necessarily in the heroic lovey-dovey way that they always have in movies, you might just die in an inglorious and depressing fashion.

Emily, what are your skills? What are you actually passionate about? Do not say Flit for this, I want to know what you dream about, what you want to dedicate your life to. Dedicating your life to a person isn't healthy nor will it end up with a equal partnership between people."

>>
>>24814906
Yep. Largan's old one is still around. Unmodified.
>>24814939
"Emily listen...I know you want to help Flit but the battlefield isn't a nice place. There's no second chances, once screw up could wind you up dead or worse." You say, trying to get how just goddamn scary it is out there.

"I know...that's why I want to help Flit. Even if we're not as close to each other as we used to be, that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to help him."

"Alright, are you sure there isn't something your good at? There are more roles then pilots and engineers."

"Well I know first aid..."

"Then help out the doctors on-board. There are more ways to help people then piloting a mobile suit Emily" You say, tousling her hair.

"Alright...but could you at least train me just in case?" Emily pleads.

>>24815054
You sigh and nod. "Your better off talking to my Dad though and ONLY if you don't intend on doing something fucking stupid. If your going to fight you have to know what your willing to do and exactly what your willing to fight for. You'll be regulated to using MS simulators until my Dad thinks your ready to use a real mobile suit. Have you ever played an MS or piloting sims?"

"I've played a few..."

"Alright, I'll talk to my Dad then, but Emily you need to try to think of someone else besides Flit for a change. If you make your whole life all about Flit your going to end up miserable and unhappy. You can still care about him without dedicating your life to marrying him or something. This is the future! You can be whatever or whoever you want! So follow your dreams Emily, don't flush them down the drain for a life you won't be happy with."

Emily looks at you, trying to take in what you said.

"...I went a little overboard didn't I?"

"Yeah, just a tad."

You laugh and shake your head. "Sorry about that. Listen, if your really all that worried about Flit why not go and visit him and talk to him? You know, explain your feelings"

"I don't know..."

(Cont)
>>
>>24815167
"Listen. I'll call Flit and tell him your coming over. If you still want to learn how to fight when your done talking with him, then talk to me. If you don't, then talk to the medics in the infirmary. Please don't forget what I said. Being a pilot isn't for everyone, me and Flit are basically nutjobs for doing this" You dial up Flit and tell him Emily is coming over.

She leaves, looking a lot better then she did when she left. Hopefully she figures out what she feels for Flit when she comes back.

So, what now Jake? It's pretty late. Almost Midnight.

"Are the preparations for Dio Gafran ready?" One of the Vagan engineers asked, over looking the white suit.

"Yes, the Zedas C and Baqto B are also ready to go." The other engineer responds.

"How are the preparations for those Invisible Umbrella Emitters coming along?" a young man says, stepping onto the plateform over looking the suits.

"Captain Solace! We didn't know you'd be here so soon..."

"It's fine, I'm merely looking forward to my next mission. Now, how are the emitters coming?"

"Very well. You should be able to scout undetected for about 1 hour, after that the emitters will burn out and you'll become visible. There still experimental so the results may differ from ours tests..."

>>
>>24815439
True. The Fa Bose is a damn intimidating ship. The Photon Blaster Cannon takes care of it canon, but there's no reason to put all our eggs in one Diva basket. Even if we manage to get CDACE out of the colony and bring it with us, the Armstrong needs better firepower. Maybe some railguns? Commonplace fusion power plants means we could probably whip up a shell carrying a nuclear shaped charge pretty easily. Fire it fast enough and point defense won't matter.

Sleep, then get to working on the Excalibuster, as we've taken to calling Desil's little stroke of genius from the other day.

It's meant as a mobile artillery platform, really. With decent MS support it could tear apart entire divisions of MS, ships, or MA in short order. Once Jake has thinned the herd, he can purge the cowl and fight normally. The Assault Cowl is more of a situational pack than a general weapons system.

I was talking about Gundam-style point defense, where it's mostly done with weapons heavy enough to be broadside guns. The Fa Bose certainly has enough fast-firing beam guns to take out anything approaching it too slow.
>>

From what I recall from when it was first brought up, it's basically the Muramasa Buster. Beam Rifle with beam sabers sticking out perpendicular to the barrel along its length so we can use it as a high-powered sword.
>>
>>24816267
If I remember correctly, the finalized idea was an Excalibur copy with integrated beam emitters for the blade edge. I think someone else mentioned an integrated DODS rifle built through the blade with the barrel opening out of the sword's tip.
>>
>>24816267

Could we run an I-field over the blade and have beam projectors in the hilt that are diffracted by the field spraying low power beams from the swords blade into whatever it has stabbed? The low power should be counteracted by the lack of beam shielding on the inside of most MSs and MAs...

The Excalibur is a Vibro blade first and foremost. It's power comes from it's weight, it's solid construction and it's sheer unadulterated cutting power. Making the Excalibuster wouldn't be a simple matter of thickening the blade, hollowing it out and filling it with beam emitters. You want to keep the cutting edge and the stability of the sword while adding a beam rifle barrel at the end and beam emitters along the length of the blade.

The work takes about 3 hours and you end up fucking up three of the remade swords in the process of installing the emitters. However you manage to get it. The Excalibuster has around the same cutting power as the original, only it now doubles as a DODS Rifle and has beam emitters that can be switched on and off like a beam saber.

It's a prototype and it may have flaws, but structurally it's sound as a bell

Now what would you like to work on? It's 11:00 AM and you still have the DODS Shotgun and Assault Cowl Projects.

You begin preparations for Assault Cowl. You can use the Electromagnetic Field Generators to provide a powerful defense against beam attacks, however you'll be extremely vulnerable to physical assaults.

What specifications did you have in mind for the Cowl?
>>
>>24816484
(Also, yes you guys can. I apologize for posting before that was made. Even I'm calling bullshit on that)
>>
>>24816493
We're going to want to make it almost completely invulnerable to attacks, so how about boosting the field to the degree that any squishy humans get microwaved upon approaching?
Of course the cockpit is going to be shielded to prevent Jake from getting microwaved.
>>
>>24816493
Adjustments to the cowl positioning if necessary to mount the DODS Gatling and a pair of shoulder-mounted railguns based off of the Ballista to deal with heavy or EM-armored enemies.
>>
>>24816493
The idea was a more tight focus EMF Generator to restrict it just to the cowl's shields, so we could still use ranged weaponry. There were also some a pair of built in railguns to deal with Vagan suits with Electromagnetic Armor. Thinking about it, it's basically the Forbidden from Seed, minus the curvy beam gun.
>>
>>24816525
Spread the fields out too far from the cowl plates and the EM waves will fry our weapons.
>>
>>24816493
What's wrong with using the Titus armor for the heavy assault cowl?
>>
>>24816537
What about going full on Full Cloth with it? Electromagnetic Grapplers, DODS Knuckles, throwable Beam Daggers. Hell we can ever set it up so if it gets Super Heated, it'll open up abit, reveal extra thrusters and go into a like MePe Mode.
>>
>>24816493
I'm thinking some some missile launchers under the cowl that are reveled when opens into a massacre mode
>>
>>24816585
Mostly weight issues. We're weighing our Gundam down enough already. I don't want to see how slow we move with all that added.
>>
>>24816620
The Full Cloth was actually pretty damn fast. And the grapplers are just reinforced wires, the knuckles fit over our hands and the Beam Daggers can be on the under edge of the Full Cloth.
Hell, it'll probably add extra thrusters normally. The MePe thrusters are just a bonus.
>>
>>24816525
That would probably kill your allies as well, besides you'd need to shield the entire suit as the electronics would cook under that kind of intense electromagnetic field. Unlike the Vagan Electromagnetic Armor, these generators haven't been turned or designed or the sole purpose of stopping beam attacks...however unlike Electromagnetic Armor shield Generators are adjustable and with the right modifications, could be focused in a specific direction. Microwaves are used for communication and can be quite precise. At high enough levels microwaves can bypass most defenses and cook human beings alive. You could build the generators into the shields with barrels. Flip the shields up, charge the generators and you have a pair of Microwave Rifles. However they would most likely only have an effect on the pilots.

A DODS Gatling on one arm, a DODS Shotgun on the other and a pair of EM Ballistia's mounted over the shoulders, along with the "Microwave Rifles" could keep your weight to damage ratio balanced while still allowing for defense. You may have to adjust the generators and you'll probably have problems, but the design could work.

What do you think Jake?
>>
>>24816674

This sounds like it might work better as one of those "Add-On Mobile Armor Packs" like the GN Arms or the METEOR.
>>
>>24816575
Power efficiency and cool-down issues mostly. The cowl framing itself can be based off the Titus Cowl but the beam emitters likely use more energy than the EM plates. After all, EM fields are needed to stabilize the beams. I think it would cost less energy to project EM fields over the plates than use EM fields to contain beam energy over the cowl. Also, back in part 7, when Jake used the emitters at full power to plow through the mirror, he had to let the emitters cool down before they could be used again. That delay could get Jake killed in a firefight.
>>
>>24816674
Could Jake integrate a supplemental reactor into the cowl to help with power issues or would that overstrain the frame?
>>
>>24816719
Really, if a Vagan gets into melee range with us while we have the Mega Beam Cannon, we fucked up already and it doesn't even matter what armor we're wearing.
>>
>>24816674
Yes. I like this. High power weapons, strong defense, and a minimal increase in weight (well, relatively, I assume it's still going to be pretty heavy. But we didn't go into the business of building Full Armor packs for the speed). The nebulous problems that we have yet to see could be bad, but I'd still like to try it. Plus, even if the mass the beam has to get through to hit the pilot attenuates it to non-lethal levels, even non-lethal amounts of microwave radiation is pretty debilitating. Dizziness, nausea and vomiting are common results. Let's see how well X-Rounders use their abilities when they can't remember which way is up and have a helmet full of their own vomit.
>>
>>24816815
Ah, yes I forgot that Microwaves can be none-lethal and rather nasty in lower doses (like in Victory Gundam)

>>24816746
Possibly, but after a point the cowl becomes heavy to the point it might as well be a separate module all together. The cowl system was designed for simple equipment changes without heavy internal modifications.
>>24816689
Stylizing this cowl like a Miniature Mobile Armor may be a wise move, it'll allow you more space for weapon systems like missiles and allow for an additional power supply and thrusters to offset the weight of the weapons and armor.

What would you like to do? Cowl or Mobile Armor Module?
>>
>>24816858
Mobile Armor Module.
>>
>>24816858
(That and with a Mobile Armor Module you could mount the Mega Beam Launcher)
>>
>>24816858

We're likely going to be using the Mega Beam Cannon under gravity, which means we need to be heavy in order to maintain traction while it goes off. For that, Crusader Gundam needs to be built like a battleship.
Mobile Armor module.
>>
>>24816858
Mobile armor. Preferrably one like the GN Arms rather than the METEOR or G-Falcon. I just like how that one looks.
>>
>>24816858
Better to make an MA Module. Add some space where the Crusader docks to the MA to hold the Ballista, shield, and Excalibuster (Considering the Crusader theme why don't we dub the new sword Ascalon).

>>24816858
Once Jake finishes the MAM, send the schematics over to Flit. We need all the firepower we can get, and his AGE might not have thought along the lines of a MA attachment.
>>
>>24816969
If Flit starts MA design now, the AGE-3 is going to be pretty amazing. We're going to get to the third generation arc and Kio'll be flying around in a straight-up Getter.
>>
>>24817024
By that point people will be tossing around black holes and galaxies.
>>
>>24816925
(Like the GP03? Weapon Containers for the Gundam to use in case the mounted weapons are disabled or it needs to use hand held weapons?)
>>24816938
(A little more solid and less integrated, I was thinking something the Excalibur could slide into and out of without any problem. like the GN Arms or the GP03 Dendropium. After all we're still using the Cowl System as the basis, external hardware without heavy internal modifications. The most we'll have to do is install connector ports to the back of the Gundam)

>1
Inspiration hits like a mace to the face and you get to work. You hog the AGE System to yourself and crank out parts for a solid 4 hours before cobbling things together. Once finished it looks like you built a tiny battle ship. It's around 24 meters long, 10 meters tall. It has a large thruster array at the back, a Electromagnetic Wave Generator/Transmitter installed onto the left side and the Mega Beam Launcher on the right. Missile launchers are built onto the back of the machine, with weapon containers hidden on the front for various armaments. The Gundam lies prone or semi-prone and slides into the front of the MA, panels sliding over the remaining openings, hiding the Gundam's back and legs only leaving the head, chest and arms exposed.

You stand before the finished MA covered in sweat and smiling. You decide to dub it GMA-001 "King Arthur". You immediately forward the data to Flit who is probably hanging out with Yurin at the mansion, it's 7:30 PM.

You should probably call Yurin and see how she's doing?

(Like the Name?)
>>
>>24817024
I see no problems with this. Do You?
>>
>>24817087

>>

I'm partial to Avalon myself, but King Arthur works too.
Also I agree to calling them.
>>
>>24817087
Yep. If the Arthur is damaged or Jake needs to ditch it (Like entering Ambat) he won't be unarmed.
Give Yurin a call and see how Desil is settling in.
>>
>>24817096
Oh, not at all. It's not that much crazier than the particle bits, after all. And it will be fun.

>>24817087
The name's pretty solid. I like it.
>>
>>24817087
Call Yurin and check on her, Flit, and Desil.

We should probably try to test out the King Arthur by making sure all the interfaces work in the cockpit, since we're going to be a juggernaut of death in this bitch.
We should have everything in order before we take it to the field.
>>
>>24817087
Did Jake get a level up in Engineering for the crit 1 on the King Arthur?
>>
>>24817087
I think we should save King Arthur for a gundam the GMA can be called Merlin
>>

>>24817120
>>24817126
>>24817132
(King Arthur it is then! Merlin sounds like a better MS name to me)
You flip open your phone and dial Yurin's number. It rings a couple times before she picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Yurin it's me Jake. I just called to see how Desil is settling in"

"He's doing very well. I think he's still a little nervous being here, but he's opened up a lot."

"Awesome! Can I speak to him?"

"I think he's using the bathroom at the moment. I'll let you talk to him when he gets out...Jake? You and the Diva leave in about a week or so right?" Yurin asks, sounding a little sad.

"Yeah, but we'll be back within three days once we're done beating down Ambat's door."

"Well, I was thinking, Maybe we could throw a going away party. A...Victory Party to wish everyone good luck. I mean we have the mansion and plenty of food. All the Zalam and Euba troops could come along with the crews of the Diva and Armstrong. "

"That sounds great. I'll talk to the Captains about it when I get the chance. We're going to be busy, but I think we'll finish in time to celebrate on our last day here."

"Great! Thank you Jake I'll tell Desil the go-Oh? Someone's at the door hold on a sec."

You hear the sound of footsteps and the opening of the door. Then you hear the rustling of clothe and muffled speaking until an unfamiliar voice comes over the phone.

"Who is this?" It asks.

"This is Jake Crocker. Who am I speaking too?"

"The man who's going to kill the girl and the traitor unless you do exactly as I say" You hear the click of a pistol over the phone...

(See you next time on: GUNDAM AGE QUEST!)
