Last Time on Gundam AGE Quest: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Gundam%20AGE%20Quest
----------
You name is Jake Crocker, you are a 15 year old in the possession of a Gundam and are currently helping the mutineer Grodek Ainoa build up a force to destroy the U.E. fortress known as Ambat. However upon capturing a young child soldier by the name of Desil, you and the others learned that the U.E weren’t aliens, but abandoned colonists from Mars coming back after 100 years to seek revenge and exterminate all Earthlings.

After finishing a brand spanking new mobile armor module, you called Yurin only for your called to be interrupted and picked up by a man. A man who has taken both Yurin and Desil hostage and plans on killing then unless you do what he says.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24826266

what are his demands? Also, see if we can't get someone else to listen to this. If Flit isn't at Yurin's place already, he may want to know about this...
>>
>>24826266
Get to the nearest computer. Send a high-priority text-only message to the comms officer on the Armstrong explaining the current situation and ordering them to alert Frizzle and any other available personnel. Warn them of possible MS forces near the colony as well. Send another message to CD with the same info and orders to prepare drones for capture around the mansion. While everybody is scrambling together to deal with the latest intrusion, drag out the conversation with the Vagan. The more Jake drags the talk out, the longer our forces have to get a plan together and the more we learn about our kidnapper. If we can learn how he ticks, Jake can throw him off-balance enough for a rescue.
>>
Are we still on the phone with him? Demand to know what he wants.
If they're asking something impossible, unreasonable, or if they don't want anything, tell them...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7evWkcW-kag

If we're not still on the phone with him or once we get off the phone with them, call Flit immediately and tell him the situation, then command CDACE to sweep Minsry of unauthorized personnel and capture them.
>>
>>24826385
Replace all intances of the word "daughter" with "friends", of course.
>>
>>24826363
Agreed. We should notify our allies, and stall for time. We just need to do this as careful and as subtle as we can.
Maybe MaG can notify the others in some undercover way - through an untraceable signal or something.
>>
>>24826414
If we're going with the subtle approach, CDACE would have to wait. Really, time is of the essence as they should still be in or around the mansion. We literally heard on the phone Yurin being kidnapped. They couldn't have gone too far at all by this time.
>>
>>24826451
True. We could at least post them around the building to track and monitor the situation from afar.
>>
>>24826363
Another vote for this plan. Is Ma G tied up making expert systems yet? Because if she's available she could help get the word out to our allies.
>>
>>24826524
What do we know of the colony? Is there any access tunnels running underneath the mansion that CD's drones can use to infiltrate? Find out. Jake's friends and financial backer are in danger. We need options!
>>
>>24826591
Can MaG hack into their house and use their surveillance equipment?
>>
>>24826363
>>24826614
>>24826591

"What do you want?" You demand as you make your way to the nearest computer, typing out a text-only message for the comms officer as fast as you can, thankful you phone has shitty input speakers.

"What we want is very simple. Turn over both of the Gundams you have on board over to us. Bring them to the field outside of the mansion near the treeline. Exit and we will do the exchange there. If you are not here within five minutes we'll kill the boy and the girl. Also, we know about the mobile armor. If we see it move an inch from where it is you'll never see your friends again"

You finish your message to the commander and work on sending one to CD telling him to use his sensors to gather information and prepared the kidnappers but NOT to act until ordered to due a hostage situation involving vital personal.

"Both Gundams were just opened up to be maintained. I'll need to disconnect refueling hoses and tester cables, I assume you don't want anyone else to know?"

"Yes, only you and the other pilot."

"Then I'll need ten minutes to get the Gundam's back into moving order" You

"If we see or hear anyone else or if you try anything funny, you know what will happen..." The line goes dead and you jump to action.

"Ma G can you locate the cellphone that call was made from?"

"Trace already began and completed. The kidnapper is calling from inside the mansion. Access to security feed shows they are leaving and currently in the woods outside of the field requested as the meeting spot"

Flit, Captain Frizzle and an armed security team approach you.

"Captain, we don't have much time to talk. What do we know about this Colony? How could have these guys gotten in without use knowing?" You ask, timing yourself using your phone.

(cont)
>>
"It lacks the tunnels and the complex underground a normal colony has since this was meant to be a national park in space, not a city. There are only four entrances to the colony, the front space port, the back spaceport and two emergency maintenance bays all four are heavily monitored, however a single person could possibly slip by the security unnoticed, but we'd have detected a ship, even a shuttle approaching the colony" Captain Frizzle explains.

"Not a Vagan ship." Flit states. "They must be Vagan operatives here for the Gundams!"

"Calm down. They have limited ways to escape and probably plan on us doing what they say. We have enough time and info to come up with a plan..."

What now Jake? You have 10 minutes to get ready...
>>
I have a weird idea.
We go along with their plans, and since the Gundams are locked on us, they'd need us to drive them away, right?
So, we join them, and when we leave the colony, we call in that favor from the pirates to help us fend off these assholes.
I doubt it'll work, but still, we should call in that favor eventually.
>>
>>24826890
They're going to either airlift them or throw napalm into the cockpits. I'm betting on the latter. They don't need gundams, they just want them gone.
>>
>>24826823
For starters, ask if Ma G can operate the Gundam without us. If so, once we get Yurin and Desil back, we sic Ma G on them.
>>
>>24826920
Wait, what about that EMP blast-cowl we just made? Could we set it on a timer so that it fucks them over the moment they airlift it?
Or we go with >>24826943 and ask MaG to operate ours, and CD to operate Flit's suit.
>>
>>24826823
Remind the captain about the cloaked ship Jake almost literally ran into earlier. As for a quick plan, the Gundams' arrival could be enough of a distraction for the drones to sweep in and capture the team. Can we cobble together any non-lethal weapons like flash-bangs do disable the Vagan? And how good is our aim? A near miss with the beam rifle could knock them on their asses. Do we or colony security forces have any trained sniper teams? Options, people.
>>
>>24826823
"Captain, I need both crews to keep on the lookout for any Vagan forces. Remember that they have cloaking technology. We need a sniper unit with small-arms fire to monitor the situation... suggestions, please?
>>
>>24826971
Jake turned the EM cowl into a full MA unit. It would be hard to move that through the colony. However, the microwave cannon could disable the strike team in short order...
>>
Rolled 16

>>24826823
Looks like they have no idea the AGE-1.2 exists, we should make sure to have it hidden nearby ready to go with whatever plan we come up with.
>>
>>24826823
Can MaG use the Crusader's weapons without Jake in the cockpit? It could shred the Vagan team while Jake and Flit are doing the exchange.
>>
>>24826890
Unless they plan on towing the Gundams behind them. In which case they just shoot us. Besides, I don't think we could get the pirates to us in time.

Clearly they have some sort of low-profile exfiltration vehicle waiting at one of the accesses. We've seen their stealth technology before. Do our marine contingents have any sort of comm jammers? Mostly I want to get in and disable their craft and make sure that it doesn't get back to the main kidnapping party. Of course, Vagan communications have so far been untraceable, so it's entirely possible that they use completely different frequencies that our tech can't interfere with.
>>
We unfortunately don't have enough time to make copy Gundams with the AGE builder...

We need Roger Smith to negotiate this shit.
>>
>>24827028
And kill Desil and Yurin in the process.

>>24827015
>>24826989
"Don't forget the cloaked ship Captain Frizzle. That thing was completely invisible to eyes and sensors until it was right on top of us."

"This colony doesn't have any defense forces. This place is considered neutral territory, has been since the Colony Nations Wars. Outside of the local police they only have us. As for snipers, we don't have any. The only person I know who has had any kind of experience with sniping is Arnold." Captain Frizzle explains.

>>24826943
"Ma G can you control the Gundam?" You ask.

"To a limited degree, but keep in mind that the Gundam has no fixed weapons."

"It'll be easy for you to crush, stomp or punch those pricks into the ground."

>>24826989
Captain frizzle explains that they have flash bangs, tazers and tear gas available in terms of non-lethal weapons.

What will you do Jake? 8 Minutes left to prepare.
>>
>>24827188
Let's keep the causalities at minimum. Can the tear gas bombs be programed with a timer of some sort? Or remotely detonated?
We strap some to our Gundam, detonate them from afar, and then the kidnapper drones come in and swoop the asses away for interrogation.
>>
>>24827188
"Does Arnold have access to a human-size scoped rifle?"
"arrange a small convoy and load it with the Crusader Gundam and the copy AGE-1 Gundam. They don't know it exists."
>>
>>24827267
Assuming they don't have snipers of their own posted, of course.
>>
>>24827188

the enemy shouldn't know what we look like, so we could take another person with us in the Gundam and have them exit it, leaving us in the 'empty' suit...
>>
>>24827267
Combined with this, would Ma G have enough control over the Crusader to grab Desil and Yurin in the chaos? Ideally she'd be able to put them into the cockpit and then thrust away at high speed. Wouldn't work if she's clumsy enough to just crush them, but it's a possibility.
>>
>>24827310
load it with the tear gas and non-lethal weapons as well. Smokescreens will also be useful since Arnold can snipe through the thickest obstructions.

>>24827316
This is possible, but remember we have CDACE on scanner mode. We can take out each sniper one by one as negotiation are going on if we're careful.
We need Arnold for this, as well as some sort of silent assassin.
>>
>>24827337
If they were able to get a description from the captives, or access to the mansion's security recordings, they'll have a good idea what we look like. Honestly, it's not hard to find info like that out. Especially if they spent a day scoping the place out BEFORE going in.
>>
>>24827188
Contact CD. How many people in the strike team, how many drones are nearby, and how long would it take the drones to get into range? Do the drones have longer-range weapons that can disable or kill the team?
>>
>>24827376

touche' . Then how about seeing if we can have someone else in the Gundam who can 'Trojan Horse' them...
>>
>>24827507
Could... could a CD's drone fit in?
>>
>>24827576
Setting up that kind of trap would take more than 8 minutes and might just prompt them to execute the hostages anyway.
>>
>>24827310
"Yes there are a few aboard the ship." Captain Frizzle explains.

"The AGE-1.2 is...well it was kind of being modified when you called me. It'd take me a half an hour to undo everything" Flit says an aggravated sigh.

>>24827417
CD has no drones in the area, it didn't deploy any kidnapper drones. It would take 2 minutes for the drones to arrive but the man on the phone said he'd kill Yurin and Desil the moment he saw any activity from the MA.

However it does know how many people are holding Yurin. One. Just one person besides Yurin and Desil is visible using it's sensors. That ether means there are other individuals CD can't see using it's conventional sensors, or there is only one man.

You have seven minutes Jake. A snipe rifle and Arnold are ready along with tear and smoke grenades and a possible 'pilot' for your Gundam that you could pass off as you if they don't know what you look like, but that's risky...

>>24827576
No, there roughly about the size of a kiddie pool and are about as tall as a fridge.

What do you want to do Jake? Seven minutes left.
>>
Can we place some sort of tear gas booby trap inside the cockpit? As soon as we exit, the thing gets armed, and it blows in the pilot's face.
We could also pop some tear gas bombs on the joints, for extra measure. As soon as the gas goes off, Arnold snipes them from afar.
>>
>>24827615
Do we have a way for Arnold to hitch a ride on one of the Gundams without being easily visible? Maybe he could set his firing position on one of the shoulders for a shot? If he can't ride on the Gundam then we need some way to get him in range. Jake and Flit should carry tazers and flash-bangs just in case. I'm not certain either would be good enough with a pistol to risk a shootout. Anyway it goes, have CD launch his drones to seek out any remainders while Jake or Arnold attacks. Our kidnapper likely isn't well trained or experienced in this sort of operation. Maybe there's a way to use that to our advantage...
>>
>>24827687
That only works if the pilot isn't wearing a pilot suit. A stun grenade would work better.
>>
>>24827615
"Tell Arnold to put a silencer on that rifle incase they have more hidden units."
"Only Flit and I should make ourselves known, as that was apart of the conditions."

Can a convoy carrying both Gundams pass into the meeting place, or will we have to pilot our Gundams ourselves?
>>
How quickly can the colony be vented of its oxygen?
>>
>>24827764
Good question. He said not to get anyone else involved, so we couldn't get a convoy to drive them over. But I doubt he'll be very happy for us to have giant death machines at our command. Is there a mobile suit equivalent of striking the flags? Something to show we're disarmed and incapable of doing any more damage than would naturally come to a twenty meter tall metal war machine.
>>
>>24827764
No one but you and Flit are supposed to know about this, if they see anyone or anything besides you and the Gundams, shit is going to hit the fan. So no convoy, no trucks, no cars. Just the Gundams.

>>24827687
You could easily set up a flash bang booby trap in the cockpit. Of course you risk setting it off if you get in a fight.

>>24827899
Come totally disarmed. A good soldier can know if a mobile suit has fixed/hand held armaments. Raise the arms of the Gundams and the kidnapper will be able to see your suit is not armed.

>>24827756
Arnold can hide behind the Gundam's head. Tie a rope around the neck and hold on. You advise Flit and you to carry tazers, pistols and flash bangs.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24827899
I think our kidnapper isn't trained for this sort of thing. Unless he has a cloaked team in the area that can fool CD's sensors (unlikely) then his only real option is to kill Jake, Flit, Yurin, and Desil then selfdestruct at least one of the Gundams.
>>
>>24827890
Seems a bit overkill, doesn't it? Not to mention it would kill the hostages, too.
>>
>>24827959
Set a detonator on the trap and then head to the meeting place.
>>
>>24827959
Station an MS team to enter the colony while the exchange is happening while readying outside forces for possible attack. Have Arnold snipe the kidnapper and evacuate Yurin and Desil to our cockpits. The Vagan might have a few MS still hidden within the colony. Hopefully we can avoid a firefight but I get the feeling we won't. Any other ideas, people? I'm getting a death-flag feeling here.
>>
>>24827959
>You advise Flit and you to carry tazers, pistols and flash bangs.
This is a good idea. It's just one guy we're dealing with, which means he's not going to take his eyes off the hostages to pat us down. We should absolutely carry guns and other weaponry as long as it's concealed or unnoticeable.

Arnold should either be in the woods or hitched to the Gundam.
Which one would be the better option?
>>
>>24827965
We should try to take these guys out but leave them alive for interrogation.
First of all, we need to know how they got in. Who knows how many colonies are infiltrated?

Could the booby traps be remotely triggered by MaG?
>>
If Yurin and Desil are both smaller than the kidnapper would firing a weapon along a fixed height work?
>>
>>24828121

I'm thinking Desil might be able to use some of that psychic power of his to help out, but we're going to need to cue him somehow if he doesn't do it himself.
>>
>>24828121
Time constraints and we don't even know how tall the kidnapper is or what he looks like.
>>
>>24827981
(Along with everyone and everything on the colony)
Your plan is this: You go up to the forest in the Gundams, showing they're both unarmed. You exit the mobile suits to begin the trade, then, if the trade is made you can set off the flash bangs while kidnapper is entering the mobile suit and sick Ma G on him, or if the trade goes bad you can have Arnold snipe the kidnapper from the Gundam.

Does this sound good?
>>
>>24828308
Sure. Just make sure that both Flit and Jake are wearing some sort of protection.
>>
>>24828308

Sounds good. CDACE should notify us via Ma G if any other units arrive, and we can, along with Arnold, shoot them once we can get Yurin and Desil to safety.
In any event, if Desil and Yurin get away, they can ride in the cockpits of the Gundams with Jake and Flit, respectively.
>>
>>24828382
Agreed. Just make sure that we can disarm those booby traps in case we get in a fight - we don't want them blowing up in our face.
Also, in case something goes wrong, we should give some sort of protection to Arnold, and probably a parachute in case he needs to leg it.
>>
>>24828308
Don't go in with the suits unarmed! There might be hidden MS in the colony from the earlier infiltration. Just keep the Gundams' hands empty and spread out so that it would take a few seconds to rearm yourselves. Make sure MaG locks the cockpit door 'open' until we reenter so the kidnapper can't barricade himself in there an deny use of the Age or Crusader until we can cut him out. Make sure Flit locks out the Age. We don't know which suit the kidnapper will try to take. Have all MS forces outside the colony on high alert in case of attack. Have a MS strike team ready to enter the colony just in case. The MA should go to full combat readiness while Jake does the trade.
>>
>>24828471
What armaments can you bring that are easily concealable? The most the AGE-1 has are it's beam daggers/sabers in it's hips. All your weapons are external. If you come with Excalibur or a DODS Rifle across your back it will be various obvious you are armed. However you might be able to hide a small weapon on the AGE-X's back without it being visible. What weapon will you choose?

Ma G has full control of the AGE-X's systems. If she wanted too she could suck the oxygen out of the cockpit (normally a fire safety measure and a moot one while wearing a pilot suit). The kidnapper won't be able to do any thing she doesn't want him to do. As for the AGE-1, it's unusable without the AGE Device, not even the locks will work without it.

You have five minutes left Jake. Your almost ready. Just a few more details. Now what?
>>24828382
You and Flit put on bullet proof vests under your shirts, hiding your weapons in your pants pockets.
>>
>>24828694
Captain Frizzle says she'll have a strike team standing by to enter the colony and the Euba/Zalam troops are already on full alert. However the strike team will take five minutes to reach them due to the placement of the meeting spot.
>>
Dad and Woolf are the fastest pilots we have, right? They should be on full alert as well, in case something goes down.

Dad could also probably use those goo grenades of his - can he fire them as mortar shells?
If so, he could eventually saturate the area with that or smoke grenades so that we can move in and take care of them.
>>
>>24828694
A heat spike or two and some daggers would be easy to conceal. Put some on the AGE-1 as well. Make sure Arnold knows what to do, and have CDACE keep analyzing the area for any newcomers.
>>
>>24828694
Take a goo bomb from Jack's machine. No one is going to be leaving that area.
>>
>>24828694
Kidnapper never said to bring the suits unarmed. >>24826777
If necessary, unmount your weapons in a nearby area, just in case. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm still getting that bad feeling.
>>
>>24828838
>Kidnapper never said to bring the suits unarmed
agitating someone in a hostage situation in any way is a terrible idea. hy would you willing test this guy's patience all for the remote possibility that we might immediately need our Gundam's heavy weapons after the situation ends?
>>
>>24828870
Maybe I'm just being too paranoid. I just keep thinking Crosswire's gonna throw some nasty screwball at us during the exchange.
>>
>>24828838
Good point. You could just drop off your weapons before the meeting spot and he'd be none the wiser, if he finds out and asks why you did that you could just say you didn't think about leaving them behind until just then. Flit is gonna drop off a shield and an extra beam saber, using beam rifles in the colony could be a very bad idea.

You decide to bring the new Excalibuster and the Arthurian Shield, hiding one of Dads Goo grenades on the rear end of the Gundam.

After explaining the situation and plan to Arnold your ready to leave.

Anything else you wish to do before going Jake?
>>
>>24828957

Hug your Gundam. We might not get another chance.
>>
>>24829065
We can do that once we're inside the cockpit.
>>
>>24828957
One last thing: can Jake keep an open com line with CD while outside of the Crusader? CD's sensors are more likely to catch any funny business in the area than Jake's eyes. A heads-up from CD could keep us from tripping that death flag.
>>
>>24829311
Yeah. Do we have an earpiece or something we could use to maintain communications with MaG and CD?
>>
>>24829311
Yep, your cellphone can connect with CD outside the Crusader and don't worry, with the upgrades you made to the phone, Ma G can control the Gundam remotely from it. Not very well, but enough to crush a kidnapper or save some friends.

>>24829149
>>24829065
You hug the Gundam's leg before heading out to meet the kidnapper.
(Continued)
>>
>>24829385
Exiting the space docks you make your way into the colony, you and Flit dropping off your weapons before the meeting point, keeping your hidden weapons on you. You approach the meeting point, Arnold holding on and trying not to vomit as you come to a stop by the edge of the forest as the kidnapper required.

You exit your machines, Arnold getting ready with his sniper rifle for any funny business when CD speaks up.
“Targets in forest have disappeared from thus unit’s sensors.”

“What? They couldn’t have disappeared! Check again” you snap when the sound of trees snapping causing your attention to turn away.

Slowly a white Vagan mobile suit fades into view, similar to how that Vagan ship faded into view when it suddenly appeared before Minsry. The moment you get a glance of it you and Flit throw yourselves back into your cockpits, ready to fight…until you see what’s on its chest and head.
Crudely strapped and lashed to the suits torso is Yurin, just above the White Gafran’s chest beam buster and Desil is strapped to the head of the suit, causing you to hesitate. The White Gafran deploys its tail beam rifle, aiming it at you.

“I’m surprised my plan worked so well.” A voice mocks over the comm. “Let me introduce myself. I am the shining white star of Vagan! Shiro Solace and today I’m ether going to bring home two Gundams or destroy two Gundams…what’s it going to be?”

With Desil strapped to the head you can’t disable the suit, with Yurin strapped to the chest you can’t avoid to get to close or tackle the suit or risk crushing her…

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24829710
Goop grenade bitches, unless that'd suffocate them, in which case don't do that.
>>
>>24829710
[X] "The fuck is this supposed to be?"
>>
>>24829710
Can we use the virus on him? If we can, activate that shit, and stall for time.
"Wait, wait, wait. We brought the Gundams, as promised. Now, uphold your part of the deal."
>>
>>24829710
Set the grenade to detonate at a signal and once they're safely away activate it. This can be accomplished with Ma G and should result in the two suits becoming immobilized.
>>
>>24829710
Remember the virus? Yeah, virus time. Explain the fact that if Desil or Yurin get hurt Jake will make Shiro's death take years to finish.
>>
>>24829811
Addendum: if possible have CD launch the virus so that Jake can keep MaG active.
>>
>>24829710
"How can we secure the hostages if they're strapped to your mech??"
>>
>>24829811
THIS. But lighten up on the threats a bit. We want to stall him, not piss him off.
>>
>>24829866

If not, then Flit can dance with him while we disable the suit... we could also have CD send a pair of drones over to retrieve Yurin and Desil...
>>
>>24829948
Agreed. No threats. Possibly insinuate how he's an enormous pussy that needs to hide behind little children.
Also, start with the virus. Maybe MaG and CD can hack him together, reduce the time necessary to disable the suit.
>>
>>24829811
Better make it attack a wide area. We don't know how many of them are out there.
>>
In hindsight we should have asked about the extend of Desil's psychic powers. Hopefully he'll use them to tip the scales in our favor soon.

>>24830030
We should ask Ma G if that's possible. We're still in our mechs, so Shiro won't be able to hear us unless we want him to.
>>
>>24829998
I wonder how long we can keep this jackass talking without noticing he's being hacked? It took, what, 3 minutes to hack the Farsia? Now that we know more about their computers from the captured MS, Jake might be able to cut it down to 2 minutes. I think we can tangle with Shiro for a few minutes without hitting him. Maybe Jake should get CD to deploy drones. They might be able to free Yurin and Desil more quickly than Jake and Flit can.

"Ma G can CD help you transmit the virus?"

"Not at this time, however CD can transmit the virus in my stead."

"Alright have him start."

"Due to the advanced systems of this suit, this unit will take 10 minutes to upload the virus successfully. This unit will be none-responsive for these 10 minutes. Do you want this unit to proceed with upload?"

>>24830134
"Could we hit multiple suits?"

"Only the ones that are visible. It is likely the enemy has others lying in wait.

What do you want to do Jake?
>>
>>24830186
(Cut 10 minutes down to five, my bad)
>>
>>24830185
It took 10 minutes to hack the Farsia.

And honestly, if I got this guy's character, he's an arrogant jerk who likes to boast how awesome he is.
We should probably ask him how he pulled this off. If he's the James Bond villain I think he is, he won't hesitate to give us a speech.
>>
>>24830213
Oh thank god.

Keep him talking.
"What the hell?? How can we secure the hostages if they're strapped to your mobile suit??"

Fair enough. We can't let him catch on to what we're doing though. We have to ask pertinent questions only.

confirm viral attack on the suit with our friends strapped to it. We may not be able to directly attack it, But I doubt it's friends have the Meat-Shields attached to their units...

Though drop off Arthur and see if he can't shoot off the ropes holding Yurin and Desil to the enemy suit...

>>24830230
That is a good plan. It shall be Plan A...

You mean Arnold? No,he can't do that. Desil has two broken arms, and both could just break their necks. Terrible idea.

I doubt the two would manage the fall from such height without being harmed. And Desil still has broken arms, so that's a no go.

>>24830186
Shit. Text-only message to friendly forces alerting them to the situation. It might be possible to diable Shiro's suit, but it would be damn risky and we don't know whether this ass will self-destruct if we disable his weapons and thrusters. Not to mention that Jake and Flit HAVE to keep Shiro confined to the colony or the hostages die. Fucking hell! Launch the virus, I guess. Stall for time. Shiro might be the type to monologue.

>>
>>24830304
You send a quick message outlining what the hell is going on.

CD has more processing power the Ma G so it’ll be able to handle the virus upload faster. You decide to keep the son of a bitch talking long enough for it to be complete.

>>24829798
>"What the hell?? How can we secure the hostages if they're strapped to your mobile suit??"

“You’re not. You’re ether supposed to hand over your Gundams or die trying to find some way to save your friends.” Shiro states mockingly

>"Wait, wait, wait. We brought the Gundams, as promised. Now, uphold your part of the deal."

"I lied, get used to it. I just needed to lure you out here where I wanted you." Shiro says, his Gafran stepping forward. “I knew you’d have something up your sleeve. So I decide to circumvent your plans and

"You bastard, using human beings as shields..." Flit mutters angrily.

"This is war; I'll fight any way I can to defeat you and what better way to win then to make it so you can't hit me without hurting the ones you love? Now hand over the Gundams or die like the idiotic dogs you are…”

>"The fuck is this supposed to be? The fuck did you get in here?"

“Invisible Umbrella System. Makes us completely undetectable, the engineers managed to miniaturize it for our suits. It may only have lasted an hour, but it was long enough for us to scout things out and prepare this magnificent plan. Now, enough stalling…”

What will you do now Jake? You’ve still got 2 minutes on the clock and you have a feeling his friends are nearby…
>>
>>24830562
Our backup should be 2-3 minutes away then, if they were sent after reading Jake's message. Grab your weapons and get ready to fight. Avoid Shiro if possible. We need to get back to our weapons ASAP. Jake and Flit need to stall at least 2 minutes for the strike team to arrive for support. This won't be easy...
>>
>>24830562
Make a show of dropping most of the weaponry from the AGE take at least one minute. The make to do the same with Ma G, but toss the goo bomb at the lower part of his machine. Once the virus kicks in have Flit take the two and run to a safe place.
Then it's only Ma G versus enemies that have time limited invisibility.
>>
>>24830562
Keep on talking.

"Honestly bub, I'm not seeing a good reason to hand over the gundams. A big flaw in a magnificent plan that is supposed to get you the gundams.

I mean I don't want them to die, but given that you'll probably kill them anyways you're not giving me much in the way of motivation to hand over the Gundams.

Did you guys actually plan this out or did you just watch a lot of old cartoon with mustache twirling villains and figure that you should emulate them? I'm actually curious here as your plans seem to lack the element of being based in reality. Your engineers put a lot of work into making this plan possible for you and here you are taking all of their hard work and just squandering it.

By the way, how many friends did you bring with you?"

You dodge the first shot with ease, but stop at the second one as you hear Arnold screaming and holding on for dear life. The Zedas Cannon aims again only for Flit to kick the Emerald Baqto into the path of the blast, it’s EM Armor dispersing the shot.

“I’ll handle these guys! You get Desil and Yurin!”Flit says as he takes out his beam daggers and charges the black suit in the distance, the Emerald one chasing after him.

“Don’t think that will save you! I’m one of the greatest mobil sui-“ Shiro’s comm signal cuts out and his suit slows down, almost like it’s going in slow-mo. It hasn’t shut down or stopped, but it might as well have.

“Virus 92% effective. Infection semi-failure. Enemy system reboot in 80 seconds” CDACE announces.

“Oh god I should have stayed on the ship today!” Arnold gasps as he climbs onto the Gundam’s shoulder. You could probably have Arnold cut Yurin and Desil free but that could have them falling to their deaths. You could get close and use your Gundam's hand as a platform for him to stand on.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24831230
Go in close, and use one hand for him to stand on, and the other to fend off against Shiro's suit.
>>
>>24831230
Get close to use the goo bomb, and then have him cut them down to land on the hands.
>>
>>24831230

Our first priority is to ensure the safety of our teammates and the hostages. Would it be feasible to pull the Zedas down to the ground on its back as gently as possible, have Arnold get their restraints off, and then they all ride in he C. Gundam?
>>
>>24831230
Okay, keep having CD trying to maintain the infection, it might be able to fuck with him a bit more, buy us a few more seconds.

I don't want to risk them falling so use the hand as a platform but make it snappy. We're not moving in slow-mo so we should be able to do this.

Once they're off we can plant the goo-nade right on his ugly fucking face so he reboots to all of his sensors being obscured and him having serious trouble moving.

Then we sword him a question.
>>
>>24831230

I assume that we cannot kill Shiro without blowing up his suit? cause if we could, that would sort things out quickly...
Though a Mobility Kill will suffice...
>>
>>24831309
We have 80 seconds. We don't need MaG for now, maybe we can tell her to help CD to shut him down completely?
Use the hand to help Arnold, and after he's done with that and the suit isn't disabled, plant the goo grenade up his face.
>>
>>24831311
"CD! Try maintaining the infection, don't let up even if you have to try reload the virus!" You rush over, Arnold now in the palm of your Gundam's hand to the Gafran's chest. Arnold begins to cut down Yurin as you watch Flit.

He's dodging like a god damn mad-man. The Zedas Cannon and the Modified Baqto keep laying waves of fire on him, but he dances around it like he knows where it's coming from.

You raise the Gundam's arm so Arnold can start cutting down Desil. Using the other arm you keep Shiro's slow-moving suit from making any moves against Arnold. Once both of them are cut down you pull them toward the cockpit and help them all inside before planting a good bomb.

Desil is in tears and clinging to your leg, Yurin looks scared out of her mind and Arnold looks like he's about to throw up.

"Do it and I'll throw you into the vacuum of space Arnold" you warn.

Suddenly Shiro's suit regains it's functionality only for the goo bomb to explode and cover his suit in gunk.

What will you do now Jake? The Arthurian Shield and Excalibuster are back a little ways, you could do a boost jump and get them easily, but Flit looks like he's starting to have a hard time...
>>
>>24831579
First kick Shiro's suit to the ground and have it topple over.

If it seems like we'll easily be able to curb stomp his head into pulp without taking much time do so, if not boost back and get the weapons.

Flit will be okay for the little time it'll take to get them and once we have them we can really support Flit.

You're posting this in a Gundam Quest, over a weapon idea created by a 7 Year Old, for a Gundam piloted by a 15 Year old, in a franchise designed to sell children's model kits.

Excalibuster is a fine and proper name, like something I'd actually find on the show.
>>
>>24831931
That, and our protagonist is a Super Robot series fan. It sounds EXACTLY like something he's come up with for a name.
>>
>>24831693
(No we didn't. We brought the Excalibuster and Shield. Also, Shiro's piloting a Gafran not a Zedas)
>>24831788
(Kiddish? We're obsessed with LARPINg *AKA extreme pretend* and run around in aviator goggles and a Kamina cape. We're a bad ass child at heart. Kiddish is our middle name)

You kick the white Gafran over and jump on top of it, hoping off and firing your thrusters to make it to the weapons in one leap. Grasping the Excalibuster and Shield you turn around to go back to finish Shiro off, only to find his White Gafran madly charging at you, its cockpit open and weapons firing. The White Gafran’s chest weapon fires and you block it with your shield, the attack warping and heating the shield till it’s a glowing red hot chunk of metal.
>>24831641

You throw the practically destroyed shield at the charging Gafran, but it dodges and slams into your Gundam. The others bounce around in the cockpit, making it difficult to focus on the controls. Somehow you manage to fire the Gundam’s thrusters to stay upright, but the Gafran grabs the wrists of your Gundam as it began to charge its chest cannon again, pushing against your Gundam with all it’s might.

Shiro laughs from the open cockpit and his goo-free view of vision. “Ha! Even with a better suit and better weapons! I’m still better pilot then you are! I have a feeling I’ll be an Ace once I kill you and destroy this colony!”

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24831931
(Also, agreed)
>>
>>24831955
While he's still got up by the wrists, tell Yurin, Desil and Arnold to hold on while we boost up and over the Gafran and toss that motherfucker, all in one fluid motion.

Because we're just that awesome.
>>
>>24831955
Where's the Excalibuster at? Activate those beam blades and cut this fucker up.
Also, is CD coming over?
>>
>>24831955
Does Arnold still have his Sniper Rifle? If we open our cockpit will he have a clear shot at Shiro?

Because if both of these things are true just open the cockpit and blow his stationary head off.

If this isn't viable then grab his wrists and flip him over our back and throw him right into the ground.
>>
>>24832010

>>24831955
How close is the sword to Shiro's cockpit? Being anywhere near a beam emitter without MS-grade armor is a quick way to get roasted. Jump-boost above the Gafran and plant a foot into that cockpit. Squash Shiro like the bug he is!
>>
>>24832272
Nu Gundam combo time?
>>
>>24832285
That'd also work, it's flash fry him if it's anywhere near him.

I've already voted, but I suggest either blowing his head off with a sniper rifle or cooking him with the beam emitter if it's at all close to him if it's possible. The wrestling might be fun, but it is a lot riskier than just exploding his brains or turning him into a burnt husk of carbon.

"Not a chance! Your not going to become an ace because I'm sure as hell not letting a fucker like you fight me more then once!" You pop open the cockpit and stare directly into Shiro's bloodlust filled eyes as Arnold lines up a shot with his rile.

"W-what!?" Shiro yells, fidgeting for the door controls only to take a sniper shot to the groin, immediately begins to thrash around in agony, blood flowing from the wound.

You abuse Shiro's horrific injury, drop the Excalibuster, knee his Gafran, pull away, grabbing it's wrists and crouch your Gundam and shout "Your not an Ace! Your not even proper Cannonfodder! I've seen anime villains better then YOU!" before flipping his mobile suit and slamming it into the ground behind you.

Picking up the Excalibuster you poise it downwards and thrust it into the Gafran's torso booming "I'm Jack Crocker and I deserve a better rival then the likes of YOU" for Shiro to hear before his Gafran explodes. Thankfully you leap away from the blast and aren't caught in it.

The Zedas Cannon and Modified Baqto stop dead in their tracks as Flit is fighting them, seemingly horrified at what they just saw. Before Flit can take advantage, both suits transform into dragon like forms and turn tail, flying as fast as they can towards the nearest exit.

What will you do now Jake?

"Structure at 98%. Colony walls holding solid, damage to surrounding environment: Medium"

"Trees can grow back, just as long as no holes we made we'll be fine.

>>24832467
You and Flit chase after the two fleeing suits and inform the others that everyone is safe and the enemy's are fleeing towards the second maintenance hanger. You follow them out of the colony and into space, watching as they speed away from the colony and disappear, probably from the stealth systems they supposedly had.

"They're leaving..." Yurin exclaims.

"You can tell?" You ask, just to make sure.

"Yes. I don't think they'll be coming back..."

"Thank god...Are you two OK?" You take Desil into your lap and look him over. He's scared, teary eyed, and looks a little scuffed up but he doesn't appear to have hurt his arms.

"I'm fine. Thank you for saving Me and Desil." Yurin hugs Desil, getting teary eyed.

"Don't worry, just try not to make a habit of getting kidnapped OK? I'd rather not have to start calling you 'Princess Yurin" You say with a chuckle.

You get a message from Dad saying they crushed the Vagan with no deaths and minor damage to the Armstrong.

What will you do now Jake?

"Well, damn. We're fucking awesome."

Let's get Desil and Yurin to safety and get Arnold back to the Armstrong. He did good.
>>
>>24832881
Give Desil and Yurin a hug.

"Desil, I'm sorry I wasn't there earlier, I did my best.

I mean it when I say that I'm not going to let those guys hurt you again. You're my little bro now, I swear that I will shove a Gundam sized package of pain down the throats of anyone who tries to do anything like that to you or force you away from your new home.

Now let's get the two of you back home, I bet Flit would like to see you safe and sound again Yurin."
>>
On a side note, we should probably get real Kamina glasses.
Combined with our cape, they'll become our family legacy.
>>
>>24832881
Right. Don't know about you guys, but this situation is the sort that makes me want to hurry up and bring the fight to them. They are going to continue attacking us and as is, the colony can't handle constant conflict. Especially if they decide to send more advanced troops. We know where they are, so I think we should go on the offensive before they build up more forces.

Yes. SOMEHOW we need to counter that goddamn cloaking mechanism they have. That's become such a thorn in our side that it needs to be neutralized.
>>
>>24832355
Well, that raised our badass quotient another few points. Poor Shiro. Thought he was a Char, turned out to be Mikhail Kaminsky.

As for our current course of action, I agree with the "get CDACE ready to evacuate" idea. We might be able to take them down before they fire a colony destroyer missile, but that's no reason to be careless. Don't chase after the remaining suits. Fire a few shots from the Excalibuster's rifle mode at the Zedas to see if we can take it out now, but don't spend much time on it. Instead, return to the Diva/Armstrong and launch from there. We need to acquire our heavier weapons if we're going to do anything. Flit should switch to the Brocka pack, and we should pick up the Titus Cowl. Then we go deal with space action time.
>>
>>24833047
This, then return to the Armstrong. We need to upgrade the ship if we want it to survive. Have the engineers look over any salvaged Vagan MS. After they've been picked over and analyzed, feed 'em to the Recycler. Upgrading a battleship will take a lot of material.
>>

Too bad we destroyed the Dio Gafran instead of just taking out the head. But we got to be badass, so I'm okay with it.

Do you think we should convince Alzack to keep a few of CD's drones around his house just as a precautionary measure? They can't stay away from the main unit for long, but if we rotate them in and out it should work fine. Could be nice to have a bit of support there on the ground in case anything like this happens again.
>>

I know, I just posted that a bit late because I spent too much time pondering the next move.

Agreed. That cloacking is a real pain in the ass.
Also, are there holograms? Maybe we could install some hologram projectors that'd make it more difficult to hit us - maybe even function as a primitive cloaking unit.

"Er, uh, yeah! That's what I meant. Sorry."

"I-It's OK..." Desil says with a nod. "I was afraid you were going to leave me. They came here because I didn't come back..."

"Of course I'd come back for you Desil. Your my little bro now and don't you forget it. I don't care if I have to move heaven and earth I'll be here the next time something like that happens. OK?"

Desil looks up, smiling at you and hugs you tightly only to wince back due to his broken arms.

You return Yurin and Desil back to the mansion. Flit decides to stay back and make sure everything is OK for the rest of the night. You order CDACE to maintain patrols using it's Drones and to maintain high alert against any unknown personnel or mobile suits entering the colony without explicit permission.

Returning to the hanger, you drop off Arnold and bro-fist him for that crotch shot he made earlier before he walks off to take a shower and go to bed.

Did we manage to collect any data on their invisibility stuff earlier? What do we know about it other than the name?

Could we make fusion-based weapons?
I imagine they'd work something similar to meltas from Warhammer 40K - instead of damaging the enemy, they fuse or melt the living shit out of them.
They could probably work as close range capital weapons for the Armstrong.

But first, let's go fetch those pirates.
>>
>>24833658
>>24833595
You have very little data to work with involving this "Invisible Umbrella System" Ma G can't even make proper guesses to how it works, only that it does and can't be seen by standard conventional sensors.

You decide to leave this for another time, Upgrades for the Armstrong would be a better focus. You'll be leaving to visit the Pirates tomorrow, so if you get a draft for the Armstrong's upgrades done tonight, they'll be able to start work on them around the same time as the Diva's upgrades which includes an "Assult Mode" and a powerful AGE Builder made "Photon Blaster Cannon".

So, what kind of upgrades should the Armstrong have? It's more of a battle ship then a carrier, so it's focus is on firepower.
>>
>>24833762
So basically hurling globs of plasma at them? Could work as a crowd control liquid-thrower.
>>
>>24833811
Curvy lasers and DODS AA guns. With extra reactors to provide the power.
>>
>>24833811
How about we upgrade the ship's shields with the same technology the Vagan use to defend against beam attacks?
>>
>>24833762
That seems like a bad idea. The energy cost to make giant flame throwers outweighs their use. Not only that, but short range isn't going to be the issue for us, it's going to be long range, specifically the anti-ship weaponry or enemy capital ships. Close range is where our mobile suits and AA guns shine and flame throwers seem like the sort of thing that can cause CRAZY friendly fire. Not worth it when we have better choices.
>>
>>24833811
Okay a Battleship needs two things. Firstly, it needs massive fucking barrages of firepower. Secondly, it needs to be able to take hits and keep on going.

For the first part we probably want one fuckhuge cannon for the really big stuff, made to Spin like a DODS if possible, some big ones but not fuckhuge ones for broadsides, and piles of smaller ones for light-medium armored targets, I'm talking about light-medium on a battleship perspective, not an MS perspective, its lighter guns should turn MSs into scrap.

A fair bit of point defense and AA would be good.

For defense we'll want to take cues from the Vagan armor that we've analyzed and incorporate that into it, as well as elements from the Anti-Beam Cowl/Coating stuff.

Ablative armor would also be good.
>>
>>24833865
(The ship doesn't have shields just hull armor to protect it. You don't have the data on the EM Armor to replicate it. Your Electromagnetic Generator is as close as Flit got and it's a l technical nightmare in terms of the problems that come up during heavy use. Installing it on the Armstrong would not be wise)
>>
>>24833762
So melting like plasma but using ionization.
>>
>>24833954
Would combining the EMG with ablative armor let us have armor intercept the beams while activating the EMG thingy to disrupt the beam while not interfering too much with the Armstrong?

Why not just see if we can apply a version of the Diva Upgrade package to the Armstrong. I mean two Photon Blaster Cannons are better then one, right?
>>
How about making MACs like in Halo? Nothing says 'I win' like 600 tons of steel to the face.
>>
>>24833811
Railguns, I'd say. Maybe missile launchers. Vagan ships don't mount point defense and just rely on being ridiculously tough. So we could do a lot of damage with high velocity penetrators with explosive warheads. We might even be able to rig some micronuclear warheads from mobile suit fusion reactors. That would be a nice trick.

We could also try to hack together a planet defensor system with the EMF generators and CD's drones. Just some point defense shields that we can reorient to deflect beam weaponry from certain angles. Making it a detached asset means that the fields wouldn't be close enough to the ship's systems to prevent the weapons from firing.
>>
>>24833878
Outer space is big. VERY big, such that trying to cause friendly fire in a crowd isn't as likely as you think.
>>
>>24833811
You know what we need? Fucking missile spam.

Missiles are completely awesome for Alpha Strikes and being able to send out a giant horde of missiles and using some MSs to keep them from deploying MSs of their own and point defense against them means we can just blow up fucking everything.
>>
>>24833811
We could make DODS flak cannons focused on destroying enemy mobile suits. Those Gatling guns could work as some sort of prototype.
And we could make some sort of DODS mega sniper that works against larger ships. Or focus more beams into one and spin that bastard like a long range mining laser.
We could also use some ablative armor plating on the entire ship, possibly with something to deflect incoming blasts.

>>24834148
Nice idea. We have the recycler and the AGE builder, we could turn the Armstrong into a mobile missile factory / artillery unit.
>>
>>24834096
600 tons of relativistic steel.
>>
Hell, we might as well just mount ourselves on the Armstrong using the King Arthur and wreck shit that way.

I still vote our first priority be better defense for the ship.
>>
What we need is grappler arms. It could give the ship essentially infinite missiles if the defeated suits are fed into the recycler.
>>
>>24833811
First, lets use the Vagan beam weapon and DODS tech to upgrade the ships beam cannons. We can also strip the 3-tube missile launchers and magazines from the bow. Replace them with re-tooled Mega beam launchers upgraded with DODS tech and dedicated capacitors. Dawrin-class ships have no point defense. A few re-tooled DODS gatlings could work if placed correctly. Anti-Beam coating over the whole ship. Software updates to both ships to accept targeting data from friendly MS. That way we can use the ship-mounted guns like artillery.
>>
>>24834319
http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/age/darwin.htm

That is what a Darwin-class ship looks like and its weapons
>>
>>24834319
The getting targeting data from MSs is a good idea. It means they can stay outside of the Vagan firing range while still pumping beamspam down towards them and also allows for more precise targeting at any weak points and lets them acquire missile launch from a far greater distance than normal.

If they have no point defense though missiles would be damn good for this, we want ones focused on penetration and we could do a lot of damage with hyper-penetration kinetic missiles.
>>
>>24834375
Vanilla Darwins have 36 missile launchers. I proposed removing the either removing 6 launchers for one upgraded Mega Beam Launcher or 12 missile launchers for 2 Mega Beam Launchers.
>>
>>24834375
I'd prefer solid weaponry if we're going for long-range artillery fire. Particle beams lose cohesion over distance from thermal and electrostatic bloom. But an artillery shell just keeps going in a 0g vacuum. Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch in space, after all.

Add beam emitters to the front. Never know when we'll need to ram something.
>>
>>24834553

How about more thrusters for speed? We could even increase the amount of plasma batteries to make it feasible.
>>
We could probably add additional thrusters / engines to increase our mobility and speed on the battlefield.
Add some on critical locations, and we can pull instant 90 degrees turns or even slides around our target.

Also, since we're going with the make-it-spin idea, can we somehow increase the damage of the DODS weapons we're going to install on the ship by making the beams smaller in diameter and adding some spin for increased penetration?
Yes, we're shooting laser drills.
>>
>>24834553
Do our missiles have enough penetration? We might need more. If they don't have enough for hyper-penetrating missiles we might be able to stick a beam emitter, DODS if possible, on the tip, it should give it the crack in the armor it needs to really get in there and delivery its payload. Given that the beam emitter only needs to fire for under a second we won't even need a huge support system for it, just enough to fire it for a second and help punch through the first layer.
>>
>>24834607
Like Victory-era warships? They used a focused beam emitter on the bows of the ships as shields and heavy beam cannons.
>>24834553
Upgrade the 2-barrelled beam cannons with Vagan and DODS tech for more range and punch. A Photon Blaster Cannon or up-sized Mega Beam Launcher for heavy targets. Hell, maybe Jake should replace some of the 2-barrelled beam cannons with upsized railguns.

>>24834696
Hell, now we're working on VSBRs like the F91.
>>
>>24834696
(You can add additional plasma engines and thrusters to make the ship faster but too many and you'll make the Armstrong vulnerable to a single well placed shot)
>>24834774
(Maybe, maybe not. A Vagan ship had a Euba mobile suit kamikaze it's way into the side of it and it didn't take a scratch. A beam emitter might do the trick, but the ship will have to be very close for it to work.
>>24834791
(You've seen enough of Vagan Beam Weapons to get an idea how to improve the Armstrongs. Railguns would be a nice addition.)

(Anything last details?)
>>
>>24834943
Those dumbed down AIs we were gonna install into the ship to monitor and control certain systems. Can we make those?
>>
>>24834943
You mean the missiles? The beam emitter idea was for the tips of the missiles, it might not be feasible to put them on it, but given that the point of the missile is to hit the enemy and they don't have point defense it ought to be able to get close. Worth looking at.

Also, railguns, we ought to get some big ass railguns that accelerate a hunk of metal to a significant percentage of C.
>>
>>24834998

Send the ideas for the anti-beam coating and DODS gatling point defense over to Vargas on the Diva, just in case. We either need to get the data for the Photonic Blaster from him or upsize a Mega Beam Launcher for the spinal mount. Actually, looking at the Photonic Blaster Cannon in action, isn't it an oversized beam launcher?
>>
>>24835107
Oh well, there goes plan DRILL MISSILE.

Our priority on the railguns should be velocity, their armor is a bitch to penetrate, we want fucking bolts that rip holes through them that we can then exploit by firing everything else into said holes.
>>
>>24835184
(Noooooo. The Photon Blaster Cannon's power output is about 100 times that of the Mega Beam Launcher. The Launcher is nice, it's a good MS use Anti-Ship weapon, but the Photon Blaster Cannon's range, area of effect and sheer power make the Mega Beam Launcher look like a beam spread gun by comparison, at least that's what the data says)

Oh yeah, for the Railguns we're adding we can upscale the specialty bolts we made for our Ballista for it. Give it AP bolts, explosive AP bolts, EMP bolts perhaps, flechette bolts that utterly rip apart lightly armored things, at that scale that'd include crowds of MSs.
>>
>>24835495
(Oops, forgot the Extra Engines)
>>
>>24835107
I'd say no less than 400 mm shells. That's the typical standard for ship-based heavy ordinance, and that seems like size to go for here. Use a HEAT-style warhead to improve penetration, A quick googling says that HEAT rounds can expect to penetrate through a thickness of armor up to seven times their diameter under optimum conditions. Combine that with a hyper-velocity launch for improved penetration and even if Vagan armor is too tough to punch through we can at least blast a hole big enough to exploit with other weapons.

Well, from an aesthetic standpoint. Tactically it would be better for them to have no idea how to respond to our weapons, but that's not realistically going to happen. All we can do is take advantage of the holes in their designs faster than they can patch them.

Rolling and also prompting a suggestion to help give us some advantage/disadvantage. State Modifiers. Since we're so busy I say add a positive or negative modifier when we roll.

Just a suggestion and I hope The dice gods don't fuck with us...too much

(In what context do you mean by a stat modifier? Like depending upon the situation?)

You know the 'Grave Yard' from history class. It was an asteroid field that saw heavy conflict during the Colony Nation Wars. So much so that it became filled with more scrap then asteroids and ended up as a Grave Yard for ships and mobile suits. Many companies and scrap collectors have attempted to clean this place out, but all of them ether disappeared or ended up suffering heavy losses. The 'Grave Yard' has a strange purple 'mist' surrounding it. It makes the field suicidal for ships and even treacherous for mobile suits. Apparently however these pilots know it well enough they've made a base there.

"Your sending me to the Grave Yard? Alone?" You give Captain Frizzle a concerned look.

"The Pirates only trust you Jake. If we send Flit or one of the others, they might not come back alive..."

"And I will? Well, of course I will, but that's besides the point" You say with a shrug. "Can I at least have someone tag along?"

"....Fine. But I'd suggest taking ether Tim or Ralphie. They need more field and combat experience. You'll be traveling via a transport shuttle. 2 manned, can hold 2 mobile suits and refuel them. You'll be leaving in an hour"

What do plan to do Jake?

Exactly that Crosswire and also. You are a god agmonst men. I loved the premise of age but the execution... Argh. This is one of my favorite quest's
>>
>>24836046
I think he means that circumstantial bonuses and minuses, like a sitting target being easier to hit than a mobile one, it's harder to maneuver in an asteroid field, that sort of thing.

Taking a friend would be good, I don't have much of an opinion on which one to grab.

The problem is finding them, we should probably start by getting to the edge and broadcasting a message saying that we're here to talk and trying that sort of thing before heading into the Grave Yard as it'll be hard to find them if they don't want to be found.

Take Tim. He's got the enhanced sensor suite, he's going to be useful for this environment.
>>
>>24836046
Take Tim.
>>
>>24836068
(Ah, that makes sense. Alright, I'll try that from now on. Makes more sense and it'll make it a little more bearable rolling for easier things)

(Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. It's nice to hear I'm not the only one who feels AGE had a lot of potential but shitty execution)

(Two votes Tim, 0 Ralphie. Gonna wait a 3 more minutes and then I'll post)
>>
>>24836233
I gave up on AGE in the 2nd generation, myself. Another vote for Tim.
>>
>>24836233
You decide to take Tim. He isn’t hard to find, you sit down to him in the mess hall for breakfast and explain what they have to do. He’s perfectly cool with it. He offers to fly the shuttle most of the way there so you can catch up on all the sleep you just missed working on the Darwin’s upgrades.
You have 50 minutes before you have to head out, the engineers will load up the shuttle for you.

What would you like to do Jake?
>>
>>24836362
Talk to our Dad before we go, make sure to give him a hug. See what he's been up to and apologize for kind of living in a cave for the past couple days.

And be sure to call our Mom before we go.
>>
>>24836362
Do we have all our Gundam's weapons and equipment?
>>
>>24836387
Seconding this.
>>

You find Dad in the pilots lounge, shooting the shit with Woolf. You give him a hug and see what he’s been doing. The answer is, relaxing and trying to get some R&R before the major battle, not lying to you that this could be the end.

“Sorry about being in a god damn cave for the last day or so Dad”

“It’s fine, you’ve helped us a lot, just make sure to take bathroom breaks. OK?”

You can’t help but laugh. “Sure Dad”

“It’s that or adult diapers kid, take your pick” Woolf adds

You remind Dad to call Mom and decide to call her yourself.
You tell her what’s been going on and how you helped Desil.
“I’m proud of you son. It takes a lot to kill a person, but even more to help a person”

“Thanks Mom, I love you.”

“I love you two sweetie. Just make sure you keep a spare pair of pants around.”

“Mooooooom” You groan.

You call Mellis and check up on her.

“My headache is killing me, ugh. “ She complains and you try not to think on how true that statement might be.

The shuttle can't hold much besides two mobile suits and fuel, but you can bring your Shield, Excalibuster and the EM ballista with an asortment of bolts .

Anything else you want to do Jake or do you want to head out?
>>
>>24836675
Can't think of anything else important to do.

"As if you'll let a puny headache defeat you.

I'm going to be going out for a bit, going to talk to pirates, actual real life pirates. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for them to wear eyepatches, have parrots, and talk about walking the plank."
>>
>>24836675
Man Jake's never going to live that down is he?
As to weaponry take the sword and shield only.
>>
>>24836774
No reason not to take the Ballista just in case it comes in handy.
>>
>>24836718
"You do realize that if you mention any of that stuff they'll laugh you out of existence right?"

"Yeah, but it'd still be awesome if one of those things was right..."

You kiss Mellis goodbye over the phone and hang up. You and Tim climb into the shuttle. You take off soon afterwards and enjoy a nice deep sleep while Time flies. Unaware of the mystery, the danger, and the monster that awaited you in the Grave Yard...
>>
>>24836904
(Well, gonna call it a night guys. I'll see you tommorow. 3:00-3:00 EST. See you then! Enjoy this part?)

Yes.. yes I did. Someday we will get a worthy rival... and the Armstrong a mustache... wait, perhaps a spinning DRILL mustache?
>>
>>24836919
The fighting was cool, and I like how we're steadily converting all weapons to have spin.

Oh my, yes. As always it was a grand ol' time.
