LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24865310/

You are Jake Crocker and you have come back from a misty asteroid/scrap field where you explored a derelict ship, found a three barreled machinegun, a cryopod and a cute robot. You then recruited pilots, got your Gundam’s head ripped off by a Black Raven and the proceeded to go home and look at the 115 year old porno mags you found.

So, what would you like to do Jake?
>>
If we learned anything from that battle, it's that we need some kind of trap for faster enemies. Can we create magnetic mines that attach themselves to our foes? Or some kind of explosive bolas with magnets?
Also, is there a way to improve those goo bombs? So far, they've been the most useful thing. Maybe increase the volume of goo one of them produces, or make it scramble with electronics a bit, or hell, maybe even solidify and turn into something like cement?
>>
>>24884201
If it's getting late go to bed, if we just got up let's get some breakfast and see what people are up to.

We should also make some high-speed countermeasures, things that reduce people's mobility, like clouds of stuff that rip you apart if you go fast, bolas, long sharp wires in a net that makes them have to move and turn a lot instead of just moving stupidly fast.
>>
>>24884303
We should definitely check out some pirate tech. They probably have something similar to that in order to capture mobile suits and ships.
>>
>>24884201
What ideas did Jake pick up from the pirate techs? You never went into any detail about it.
>>
>>24884418
The pirate tech from yesterday was interesting. It was mostly gear to capture and disable mobile suits, electrified nets, wires with hooks on the end, flash guns that temporarily blind as suit's sensors, that kind of thing.

>>24884335
>>24884303
After giving it some thought you think it might be worth-while to invest in some of this tech to take down the more speed oriented units. You'll get on that tommorow however as it's getting quite late.

-----
You wake up at 8:00 AM on Monday morning. After getting some blueberry pancakes for breakfast you sit down and chat up with the guys. They've been keeping themselves busy, practicing with their suits and growing more accustom to them. Dad and Woolf have been getting into pissing matches lately trying to one up each other in terms of skill, probably due to sheer boredom.

Flit and Vargas have been working their asses off and Emily has been helping around where she can, she never did talk to you Dad thankfully.

Overall things are going pretty well on the ship.
>>
>>24884303
Maybe some birdlime launchers built into the hands? And a high-mobility cowl. Not too certain how well shrapnel weapons would fare. Maybe charged anchor wire launchers like the Hamrabi could work?
>>
>>24884580
Could we ask dad or Woolf if they could bring in some help from the outside? Maybe they have some contact in the military, or whatever.
Maybe we find out about our crazy aunt who's a former military commander and is covered in scars from head to toe.
>>
>>24884588
(Birdlime? like that stuff in Zeta Gundam?)

>>24884646
You chat with Dad and Woolf regarding additional help from the Federation.

"Well considering that what we're doing could land us all in jail, I doubt anyone I know will help" Woolf explains with a shrug.

"Sorry son, I have friends but there in positions that they can't leave without people taking notice. " Dad apologizes. "Besides, if things go south we'll need them to get mom to Safety.

Well that bites, but you should be OK with what you have now. So, what do you want to work on? You could take the King Arthur for a test drive, work on the high mobilty cowl or just screw around and work on something else.

What will it be Jake?
>>
>>24884988
Let's see about using that pirate tech to improve our weapons. Something that everyone in our army can use, not just us.
Improved goo bombs, electrified razor wire in our crossbow bolts, magnetic mines and bolas, that kind of stuff.
>>
>>24884988
High mobility cowl. Paint it red. Because red is three times faster.

No need to test King Arthur, everyone knows that untested prototypes always exceed expectations.
>>
>>24885084
>Paint it red. Because red is three times faster.
No, paint it blue. It will prevent it from overheating.
>>
>>24884988
We haven't even tested the King Arthur yet. Let's do that, since we're likely taking it to Ambat.
>>
>>24885084
>everyone knows that untested prototypes always exceed expectations.
That only works when the person using it wasn't the same person who created it.
>>
>>24885199
STAHP. Dark colors are supposed to absorb heat. We're already pushing it with our color theme.
>>
>>24885250
Fiiiiiine.
We'll go with white.

It'll give better virus protection.
>>
>>24884988
Begin work on the speed cowl.
>>
If we go with that high-mobility cowl, we could steal some ideas from the Vagans.
Maybe make it look like wings with additional thrusters, like the Gafran. And a tail DODS cannon / Excalibuster.
>>
>>24885420
You work on a high mobility cowl for the Gundam. Since your going to be using the King Arthur at Ambat, you decide to make it compatible with that or at the very least make it so you can wear both.

You take data from the Zedas, Gafran and even the Farsia's propulsion data to cook up something...

>93, 75, 94, 77
>20, 14, 4, 10, 16

The process takes about five hours and you screw up a couple of times with the materials, but eventually you finish it.

Utilizing the 'light propulsion' thrusters you learned about from the Vagan suits you add additional thrusters on the back and shoulders of the AGE-X in the form of tail 'binders' and two wing like thrusters on each shoulder of the Gundam. Additional verniers using the light propulsion thrusters dot the Gundam's body, Gundam vulcans/beam sabers rest on the forearms and an empty tail sticks out of the rear for the Gundam. The part difference is quite jarring, even after matching up the color scheme it looks like you yanked off parts from a Vagan suit and slapped them on you own.

The 'wings' can fold onto the shoulders to look like regular plates and the tail can fold close to the body so it doesn't interfear with the tailbinders when docked with the King Arthur. The tail on the Gundam can mount any weapon you can fit on it and then deploy it over your shoulder, or under your arm, or use it from the tail if the enemy is directly behind you.

It's a little more complex and weapon oriented then the rest of your cowls, but it seems like it's well made.

Your thoughts Jake?

>>
>>24886342
How big a weapon can we mount on the tail? Is the EM Ballista too big? We wouldn't be able to aim it quickly as a tail gun, but swinging it up as a bazooka would be a nice augmentation to a suit with otherwise light firepower.
>>
Can we upgrade those Vulcan cannons with DODS technology?
>>
>>24886386
You decide to dub the cowl, the "ChimeaCowl" due to the fact your Gundam looks like something out of a Super Mobile Suit Wars Game.

>>24886436
You send the data to Flit like always, maybe it might help him to finish the Gundam 1.2 he's been working on for a while.
>>24886522
You can mount any hand held weapon to the tail, a DODS Rifle, Beam saber, the Excalibusters, EM Crossbow or the EM Ballista. You will have to equip it after you leave the King Arthur due to the docking mechanisms and the size of the tail without a weapon.

>>24886573

You upgrade the vulcans to DODS Vulcans, giving them a higher penetration rate then standard Vagan vulcans all while keeping their ability to also project beam saber blades. While your at it, you add a little docking port for MID. You honestly don't know if he'll be able to help, at the very least he'll have some place to sit.

Test the King Arthur and see if it flies right. I don't care if we built it via critical success, we need to get used to flying it.

Also, let's access MID's databanks to see if he has anything useful in his archives.
>>
>>24886773
Hmm, should we use a standard weapon in the tail or design a new one? Any other ideas for weapons besides my DODS VSBR? Any specialty toys we want to make for high-speed enemies? If not, why don't we try out the Chimera and Arthur?
>>
>>24886814
Seconded. Both of these sound like good ideas. And we should practice deploying with the Chimera from the King Arthur.
>>
>>24886842
How about missiles? If we're dealing with enemies hard to shoot, getting some homing on them should help put on the pressure.
>>
>>24886807
Maybe we should try making a Isolated DODS Field for our melee weapons.
>>
>>24886883
Missile racks mounted on the underside of the shield, maybe? Detachable packs mounted on the side skirt armor? Shoulder-mounted missile racks? Hell, better to have all of them. Heavyarms Cowl, man.

>>24886963
Spinning the beam blade? Hmm, not sure how well that would work. A beam lance? Worth a try at least.
>>
>>24886883
Could we maybe use the crossbow, add some small robot that reloads it for us and changes the bolts mid combat?
Or we go with the Excalibuster, so far he hasn't let us down.
>>
>>24886963
-Is now imagining a DODS Field Generator built into the Titus. "TITUS DODS DRILL LARIAT!"
>>
>>24886773

using the pirate tech, we could make some custom mods to Dad's suit...
>>
>>24887162
(Both the Crossbow and EM Ballista are clip fed)

>>24887015
>>24886963
A DODS Lance would work better, spinning a beam saber would be difficult and most likely wouldn't have that great of an effect.
>>24887015
Missiles launchers are already built into the top of the King Arthur.

>>24886814
>>24886847
You decide to keep the Chimera Cowl on and test the King Arthur out using it. You give a quick scan over MID's databanks to see if he has anything useful. Nothing of real value in his archives, just more data on Arthur.

Anyway, it's time to test the King Arthur! Propulsion and everything will be easy to test out, but what about the Electromagnetic Field Generator? You'll have to be hit with live beam weapons if you want to full test it.

How do you want to go about this?
>>
>>24887164
The beam lariats already spin the plasma field. What would make this different?
>>
>>24887221
Take a spin around the colony, hover a little bit above ground and ask someone politely if they'll shoot at you. It's for Science!
>>
>>24887221
Do we have Genoace rifles left?
>>
>>24887221
Start with just some uncharged beam spray gun fire. Weak enough that with Gundam-class armor it won't harm us even if the deflection system doesn't work. From there we can experiment with gradually more powerful beam weapons.
>>
>>24887221
Start up the EMFG, then shoot it with weak lasers, progressively going up to stronger lasers until we decide that it's sufficient.
>>
>>24887221
How difficult would it be to dismount the EM-field generator from the Arthur and remount it to a testbed reactor? Better to lose the generator than the Arthur. If dismounting is too difficult, build a copy for trials. Only do live-fire trials on the Arthur AFTER the EM-Field has been proven.
>>
>>24887233
Was thinking it to be like the entire Arm is covered in plasma energy and well can be fired as a make shift DODS Magnum...

...DODS Beam Magnun,,,
>>

That would be cool. There actually is something like that in the final few episodes. The Gurdolin is a Bigro expy that has a "beam scraper" plasma drill. It can ram with it or fire it off as a fuck-huge DODS blast. Plus it works as a beam shield covering frontal fire. So there is precedent for the concept. We'd be trying to build it a bit early, though.
>>
>>24887407
We need it made NOW
>>
>>24884588

But they don't work properly against enemy mobile suits, much less against Wily's Robot Masters upgraded with 40k Men of Iron tech.

>>
>>24887469

>>
>>24887633
Why haven't we started on Anti-X Rounder Tech
>>
>>24887593
Be rather bulky for a capital ship. The premise behind the Beam Magnum is to use an entire e-cap (20-30 beam shots) in a single massive blast. Not too sure how to scale that up to capital ship size.

>>24887612
Yes. All of my yes. We might not get it until mid-to-late gen 2 but heavens would it be useful.

>>24887372
Hmmmm, Beam Magnum is pretty damn advanced all things considered. You probably don't have the tech for it, but maybe later depending on how much you grow tech wise.

>>24887329
It's take you the entire day to dismount the Generator, get a proper reactor and then set up a test bed for it.
>>24887270
Your better having Arnold take pot shots at you with a beam spreadgun and slowly begin to climb up the weapon latter.

After doing some quick checks on the King Arthur and informing the crew your going to be preforming tests, you launch from the emergency side hanger due to the catapult being too small. You fire the King Arthurs thrusters and blaze out of the Armstrong's hanger. You spend the next couple of minutes testing out the mobility and speed of the King Arthur. Pretty good speed and alright mobility, it still feels rather hard to move around but all things considered it could be worse with the weight your carrying.

You have the pirates throw out some of the rattier looking scrap for you to do some target practice on. Firing the Mega Beam Launcher you discover a couple of things.

1. The Mega Beam Launcher has the firepower of about two beam cannons in a much smaller weapon, plus a lot more penetration.

2. The weapon fires continuously for about 5 seconds, allowing you to drag the beam for extra damage if your fast enough.

3. The Mega Beam launcher can't be fired in rapid succession. There's a 2 minute cool down between shots, meaning you have to use it sparingly

(Continued)
(Also, how does this look for a tech-tree example? It's a rough mock design)
>>
>>24887834
Need better I-Field/EM-Field tech and materials tech to contain the beam without rupturing or wearing out in one or two shots. Maybe after Ambat or finishing the Raven Jake will have the info needed.
>>
>>24887910
Or we create some upgrade that holds multiple clips for that thing. You know, fire one shot, change clip if you need to fire again quickly.
Then both clips would have to be reloaded, but if you're in a jam, it's better than nothing.
>>
>>24887972
??? The Unicorn Beam Magnum already works something like that. The issue is containing 30 beam rounds, compressing them into a single shot, and keeping the gun size manageable. You're basically firing a Mega Beam Launcher out of a beam rifle. That's a lot of power to contain. Until Jake gets better I-Field/EM-Field tech, heavy beam weapons will be large and cumbersome.
>>
>>24887972
(At the moment the AGE equivalent of E-Cape technology doesn't exist. The energy capacitors are hard wired into the rifles and have to recharge from the mobile suits reactors or a charge station, this include DODS Rifles too)

>>24887834
You get Arnold out in his G-Exes Sniper Custom and have him fire on you with the spreadgun once the EM Field Generator is on. The normal shots dissipate before they can get close to your suit.

The Overcharge shots, the DODS Rifle, the DODS Sniper rifle and even the DODS Gatling and even the DODS Shotgun can't get through the shield. Your feeling kind of ballsy and are about to ask for a blast from the Beam Cannon but notice the heat levels of the EM Field Generator. After all those attacks the stress began to slowly increase the temperature of the generator.

You built in safety measures to have it shut down in the event of going to a certain temperature to avoid exploding, but you didn't expect it to over heat so quickly. You expect you have about 20 minutes of protection from constant beam attacks before having to shut down the generator and a 5 minute cool of time. The necessary cooling unit to fix this would be way to big to fit on the unit and would make you easy pray for anything that could get into melee range.

So, your thoughts so far Jake?
>>
>>24887834
So it'd go

>>
>>24888068
Can we have chain generators?
Say for example one does its work and when it overheats another in the line takes over while the first cools down.
>>
>>24888068
Not too bad for a first-generation I-Field/EM-Field. Jake should rely more on the King Arthur's speed, firepower, and friendly MS support more than the field anyways. Speed has almost always been one of an MA's best defenses. Energy draw from combat will probably deplete Arthur's reactor before overheating becomes an issue.
>>
>>24888068
We're not using that thing without any support, that's for sure.
Either we use that EM Field to draw the enemy fire while our guys outmaneuver the enemy, or fire the Mega Beam at a critical enemy and then move around it while it cools down.
If shit hits the fan, we should probably make something that would allow us to quickly ditch the thing before it blows in our face.

Anyway, for the Chimera - could we add something like that Diffuse Beam cannon they have in their torso?
Possibly replace it with a DODS shotgun for maximum close range FUCK YOU. Or a mini Mega Beam.

The Mega Beam Launcher fires for too long. If Jake makes any evasive maneuvers while firing, he becomes an enormous friendly-fire risk. See if Jake can step back the beam length to half a second. Still powerful, but less risk of friendly fire and shorter recharge time. I'd rather fire 10 half-second shots in 2 minutes than one 5-second shot.

Flash freezing it at the temperatures it's reaching could cause it severe damage. You'd need a lot of coolant to keep it's temperature down for a proper combat time, but it just can't be implemented properly in this design yet without leaving yourself wide open for attack.

>>24888184
You could easily install an explosive bolt set up to ditch the EM Field Generator in the case of heavy damage

>Anyway, for the Chimera - could we add something like that Diffuse Beam cannon they have in their torso?
Possibly replace it with a DODS shotgun for maximum close range FUCK YOU.

Probably, but lets test out the Chimera Cowl first.
You detach and eject yourself from the King Arthur. Firing the light-propulsion thrusters you begin to see what this cowl can do. The vagan-based thrusters seem a little slower to accelerate, but overall it seems a lot less abrupt and very very easy to control, the handling is a smooth as a new born baby's head. You fire off the improved DODS Vulcans and slash some scrap by switching to the beam saber. The tail controls work fine and you find you can fire the DODS Rifle you attached to it with some practice.

Overall, very good frame. It's boost isn't as significant as you'd like, but it's a very balanced boost and the additional control over the suit makes up for it.

So, what now Jake?

>>24888414
2 weeks, you have 5 days will the Invasion of Ambat
>>
>>24888068
For now, this is a perfectly fine piece of engineering. The cooldown issues are a bit annoying, but nothing that can't be worked with. A one minute of cooling for every four of use is a acceptable ratio. If we tactically activate and deactivate the field we should be fine. The Mega Beam Launcher is also fine. We've got more firepower than a battleship and can sweep multiple targets. Unless whatever we target with it (Defurses or battleships) are very spread out, a two minute cooldown won't be an issue.

I still say that we need to look into adapting Vagan thruster tech to work for generic cooling systems. If we never overheated we'd be unstoppable. Especially if we could adapt it to fusion drives so that they didn't have volatility issues. Though, at that point we're basically just Gundam 00, so we might not want to mimic that too much.
>>
>>24888531
I guess we could try to combine the thruster tech. Smooth controls from the Vagans and improved speed and acceleration from the Federation tech.
Also, while we're upgrading this thing, we should upgrade those beam sabers. And if we're installing that Diffuse Beam cannon, we should set it to have multiple modes of fire.
First, though, that explosive bolt just in case.
>>
We need to talk to Captain Frizzle about Yurin's 'Victory Party'. It would be nice if we can get to know know her some more too.
>>
>>24888531
Did we finish the upgrades we were going to do on the Armstrong?
We have plenty of scrap to recycle for that very purpose.
>>
>>24888695
I imagine Captain Blackmarsh flirting with Frizzle.
"You know, in my line of work, I've never seen such fine booty. You know I'm a pirate, right? Because I can totally dig that chest,"

>>
>>24888531
Advance target practice with the tail gun. Can't very well go into battle with unfamiliar equipment.
>>
>>24888531
Fix that damn beam launcher. A five-second beam is way too long. I keep picturing Jake getting hit while its firing. Picture Jake lining up a shot. He fires. One second into the shot, a Vagan MS clips the Arthur and forces the shot off towards our forces with 4 more seconds of firing to go. Congatulations Jake! You've just become an instant ace for the Vagan! Yeah, not a pretty picture. Try to dial fire time down to half a second. Less chance of becoming a Vagan ace. Could give Jake a shot every 20 seconds instead of 2 minutes from lesser power consumption, too
>>

>gen 2

>>
>>24888768
We add a firing mode for the thing. One mode, continuous blast, the other a short burst. That way, we get the best of both.
>>
>>24888751
We should bring Hogan along to see Desil. I mean, damn, it's Hulk fucking Hogan, no way he won't get excited.
Besides, we could find some kids along the way, he could always use new friends.
"Desil, I want you to meet a REAL SPACE PIRATE WRESTLER FROM THE FUTURE."

Damn, that'd be the greatest Hulk movie of all times.
>>

You complete the Explosive Bolt System without any problems. Flip a switch and pull and emergency lever and it'll pop right off. Hopefully it won't blow up immediately if something does happen to it or else this system is gonna be pretty worthless.

The DODS Shotgun fits over the chest in behind a crystal focusing lens you took over the damaged Gafran. It has a wide spread, but it'll decimate anything at point blank range, has a very slow rate of fire.

The Firing mode is built into the Mega Beam Launcher after a half-an-hour of messing with it. You can now fire continuous shots or single shots.

So now what Jake? Work on that X-Rounder Bit idea for Carlo's suit? Talk with Captain Frizzle about the party? Visit Desil and invite Hogan over?

It's 2:00 PM on a Monday, 5 days left till the invasion.

Oh, we definitely need to do that. I've got a plan for a message to send to the Mars Sphere if we can capture the communications facilities at Ambat. We'd probably have to alter them to do a general broadcast instead of specifically to military channels, though. I want to send the people of Vagan all the evidence and documentation of the X-Rounder research program that produced Desil and kidnapped Mellis. Nothing like exposing a government's unethical practices to demoralize a people.

"It's actually very nice. I'm surprised at how much they have to do and how many people they treat. They say I'm a lot of help and I have a good career as a doctor ahead of me"

Your thoughts Jake?
>>
>>24889886
Oh, my whole plan for this war is trolling. Eventually I want to build fast, long-distance transport capsules that look like missiles but when destroyed are revealed to be medical supplies. I want to send out fleets that look like attack parties on Mars only to head to Jupiter to test new radiation shielding in its magnetosphere. I want to send infiltrators to Mars who sneak into Vagan bases and leave messages of encouragement and support for the plight of the Martian people. Everything will be done with the aim of destroying the narrative the Vagans have constructed of their being the brave rebels working to defeat the monolithic evil of the Federation. It will be hilarious.
>>
>>24889959
"Glad to hear it. We need as many doctors as we can get, considering all this crap going on."
"I mean, yeah, the soldiers are important, but not as important as the people they're fighting for."

>>24889973
This, absolutely. We also need to go Robin Hood on the Federation's ass, proving their corruption and helping everyone we can.
The Black Devil shall become the symbol of Revolution.
>>
>>24889959
"Congratulations. I'm happy for you.

Doctors are important, there's going to be a lot of wounded soldiers in a week and they'll need all the help they can get.

If we're lucky there'll come a time we don't really need soldiers, probably won't happen any time soon, but we'll always need doctors to heal the sick and wounded. So, you've got job security."
>>
>>24890021
Yeah, my plan factors in the Federation, too. Ultimately I want to produce enough dissatisfaction and mistrust in the citizens of both the Federation and Vagan that we can break off and form a third faction from rebels against both sides. Basically the Bisidian pirates, only as an entire nation. We've got AGE Builder tech. We don't need that big infrastructure to establish our own power base.
>>
>>24890021
Might as well turn the pirates into the Crossbone Vanguard. We're already considering beam lances and far outstrip the Feddies in every way but size. Just need beam shields and we're there. And the beam flags are fucking awesome.
>>
>>24890112
I was thinking of us giving the AGE builder and the recycler to Blackmarsh, and ask him to clear the Graveyard from all those other criminals.

"Well someday there won't be a need for people like me, so one day hopefully soon I'll be dead broke and you'll still have a career" You finish off your food and belch, excusing yourself in the presence of the young lady.

>>24890323
"So how is everything going with Flit?" You ask.

"It's a lot better now. At first...I kind of hated Flit for walking off to be with some girl he just met and I hated Yurin for stealing away my closest friend. After talking with him and her I felt a lot better and I realized it wasn't anything like that. Flit still cares about me, and Grandpa and everyone, he's still fighting to keep us safe he's just trying to make sure he has something else to do when that's done. (Yep, but particle bits aren't necessarily just particles in my mind, they're just very, very tiny beam emitters that project a beam field around themselves. So you'll have to have a LOT of data on Bits and Beam emitters, as well as some good X-Rounder data for the control system.)

She teaches you some pretty good moves, it's not 'modern' dancing but classics are always nice to know. After about a half an hour later the two of you stop and sit down.

They must be damn-near microscopic, then, to store them in the numbers the Legilis deploys. I always assumed they were some form of long-range magnetic bottle technology that was steered from the mobile suit. But throwing some actual mass in there probably isn't that bad an idea. I remember an idea I once read to make more stable plasma fields for use in hypothetical magnetic sails. The design used small microelectronic drones throughout the plasma that relay and help propagate the magnetic field, allowing the plasma to be more easily formed and shaped. I guess particle bits could be an extension of that concept.

> "I'm glad I could help even if it was only in a small way. And it's true, you would put everyone else to shame if you were on the dance floor. Thanks."

"I should be thanking you Jake. Sometimes I have a tendency to wallow in my own self-pity at times. In the end positive emotions are stronger then negative ones. I screwed up in the past, I was arrogant, brash and cocky. However I learned from my mistakes and I am ready to atone for them. Thank you Jake. Without you I doubt we would have gotten as far as we have" Captain Frizzle says, extending a hand to you.
>>
>>24891455
Shake her hand.
"We got here as a team, and we're going to show everyone what we're made of as a team."
"It's been an honor and a pleasure to serve under you, Captain."
>>
>>24891455
Look at her hand, raise a questioning eyebrow and extend our arms for a hug. Because Jake Crocker doesn't settle for a handshake when a hug is in order.

"I do my best Cap, I'm your resident completely insane engineer and Gundam pilot, I've got your back no matter what happens."
>>
>>24891455
Shake her hand.

"I think everyone on this ship is a hell of a lot better than their reputation says. You're no exception. I can't speak for your past, but you've been a damn fine captain on this voyage. I'm proud to have served with you."

"Thank you Jake." Captain Frizzle smiles before letting out a yawn.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get some sleep..." Captain Frizzle leaves her office, leaving you to your own devices.

What now Jake? It's 8:00 PM
>>
>>24891615
Let's call Mellis, see if she minds us popping by for a visit.
>>
>>24891615
go check on mellis, we have been working with guns all day, we should check in on her.
>>
>>24891615
May as well bug Melis, and then see how the pirates are doing.
>>
>>24891615
Call Melis, see if she's up for visitors soon. Off-Topic: I wonder how many incoms MaG could control once Jake gets better at piloting?
>>
Find out who we go to for training on firearms. Our new gun probably needs a good cleaning and lubricating by now.
>>
>>24891697
(Considering her processing capabilities, probably a lot. 20-30 Incom units, but they'd have to have input from Jake)

>>24891624
>>24891636
>>24891650
You flip open your phone and decide to call Mellis.

"Hello?" She asks, coughing into the phone.

"Mellis? You OK?"

"Yeah, Yeah I'm fine. I'm just a little under the weather today. I think I caught the local bu-COUGH-g it's nothing re-COUGH-ally." She says, having a nasty coughing fit.

"Mind if I come over? I'm bored over here and I need someone to annoy"

"Oh well when you put it like that" You can practically hear Mellis rolling her eyes.
----------
You go out in the Gundam, travel for an hour or so and finally make your way to the research facility. It's a small facility, not the pristine place you'd thought it would be. It's roughly about the size of a school with outdated equipment, old computer terminals and staffed by around 40 to 50 people.

Going up to the receptionist you show her your I.D.
"I'm Jake Crocker, I've been given permission to visit one of the patients you have here"

"Oh, your Jake. Mellis has been talking a lot about you." She says with a smile. "Just go down the hall and turn right it's the last door on your right.

"Thanks"

You make your way to Mellis's room, which is a rather roomy one and not the suffocating medical bed you imagined. The only thing that seems out of place is a rather strange looking device beside Mellis's bed connected to a strange helmet, probably something to read her brain activity.

Mellis gets up from the bed, putting down her book and grinning. "You sure took your sweet time"

Your response Jake?
>>
>>24891615
It's Mellis tiem!
>>
>>24891859
Grin right back at her.

"Not my fault that you decided to live in the middle of nowhere. You're so inconsiderate, how dare you make me spend an whole hour to visit the awesomest girl in the world."

Give her a hug and hold her in it for a while.

"Miss me?"
>>
>>24891859
"By the time this is all finished, you'll never beat in MS sims again even with your fancy X-Rounder stuff."
>>
>>24891899
This, just add:
"I should've brought you something from my latest trip into the Graveyard."
"A tough call - nanotechnology, a gun from a derelict ship, or ancient porn. So I brought you this little guy to keep you company."
Introduce her to MID.
>>
>>24892002
But MID is Flit's bro, it'd be impolite to take him away from Flit.

And I bet she'd love vintage porn, maybe, we probably shouldn't risk it.
>>
>>24892033
Wait, isn't MID Team Armstrong's new mascot?
>>
>>24891859
Regale her with tales of pirate hideaways and the booty therein.
>>
>>24892033
Better not give Melis any SM porn. Might give her ideas...

>>24891859
20-30 incoms...now I'm picturing the Jake in the Crusader with the Kshatriya's binders kicking Geheart's ass.
>>
>>24892073
Why wouldn't you want to give her any ideas?

We all already know that despite the fact that we're a badass in the end she's going to wear the pants in the relationship.
>>
>>24891918
>"By the time this is all finished, you'll never beat me in MS sims again even with your fancy X-Rounder stuff."

"Pfff, sure, whatever. I can beat your butt anyday, this stuff will just give me more of an edge and no I didn't forget our deal. When you get back we're going to have a simulation match and this time, I'm going to win. Got that?" She asks with a grin.

"Yeah, yeah" You grin back and walk over and hug her, holding the hug there for a while. "Miss me?" you ask.

"I miss being able to push someone around, yeah. So what have you been up too?"

"Derelect ships, frozen people, porn, a three barreled gun, ghosts, parties, and the fact I totally forgot to check my email in regards to that old guy who restored the Gundam in the first place...so pretty boring"

"Well my stay here is pretty boring too. Let's go out and do something"

What do you want to do Jake?
>>
>>24892149

ALL THE SEXYTIMES.

Or, ya know..
Whatever..
>>
>>24892149
Take a ride in the Gundam. Maybe grab something to eat, I doubt that hospital food is any good.
>>
>>24892149
Take her out for a spin in ze Gundam.
>>
>>24892149
"Well if I was the sort of person to listen to doctors I'd tell you that you have to stay in bed and rest. Lucky for you I'm not.

I think I'm going to kidnap you with my giant robot and take you flying."

Pick her up, throw her over our shoulder and run to Gundam while cackling madly. We'll take her flying, watch the stars, and then land Gundam in a parking lot outside a nice 24 hour greasy spoon.
>>
>>24892149
Let her play among the stars.
>>
>>24892149
Take her flying in the Crusader. Offer to build her a Gundam after Jake gets back from Ambat.
>>
>>24892363
Or just rip apart the Farsia. Not that they'll let us, but still.
>>
>>24892431
Turn the Farsia into the Hi-Nu Gundam.
>>
>>24892478
That'd be bitchin'.
>>
>>24892550
I'd make it into a Sazabi but that design scheme would have every Feddie in sight shoot at Melis before checking the IFF.
>>
>>24892225
>"Well if I was the sort of person to listen to doctors I'd tell you that you have to stay in bed and rest. Lucky for you I'm not. Let's go out in the Gundam, pick up some grub, maybe look at the stars for a little bit."

"Sounds great. I could use some proper food right about now"

You lead her out of the building and take her to the Gundam.

"When I come back, how about I build you a Gundam of your own?" You offer.

"Nah, I liked that one suit I was in. I mean I was forced into it and I could have killed you with it, but it was pretty cool"

"Hmmm, I'll see what I can do..."

>>24892431
(It's sitting in the hanger of the Armstrong along with the Damaged Gafran and Desil's damaged Zedas, who says you can't?)
----------------
MEANWHILE

"Who do you think you are proposing something like this? Normally I wouldn't even deal with Earther scum like you, but your suit..." The masked man, Gerra Zoi said as he looked over the prisoner, raven haired women with an unusual body.

"I'm the Black Raven, Rysis Dutch. I've been asleep for some time and now I want to continue my fight against the Federation. Your the Federation's number one enemy, something I used to be..." She pushes her hair back and smiles.

"Why should I believe you?" Gerra demanded.

"First, do you know any cyborgs living today?" She says, raising her injured left arm, gooey circuitry and organic components lying beneath the skin. "It's a lost art now, so that proves where I'm from and if you doubt that I hate the Federation, check the combat logs and you'll see I decapitated the Gundam"

"Which one?"

"There's more then one now? How interesting...regardless I know how to fight the Gundams. I know what it's like to fight a man who can change the face of a battlefield just by showing up, you need me more then you know..." Rysis grins.

"Fine, but you will have to gain our trust" Gerra spits distrustfully.

"Who can see the future?~" Rysis laughs as her cell is closed.
>>
>>24892624
(Gonna call it a night guys. It's pretty late. I'll archive this and head to bed. The game starts at 1:00 tomorrow, but I'm going somewhere so it'll probably be a short game)
>>
>>24892624
And our Char has a name. Magnificent. I hope she survives Ambat and continues to plague us for years to come. A good rivalry is hard to come by.
>>
>>24892624
I have a very important question.

Is Rysis hot?
>>
>>24892742
(A smoking hot 21 year old with long black hair, an hourglass figure and an athletic body. So, I'd assume so)

>>24892723
(I hope so too! Sorry if I was slow or vague in my posts today I'm pretty damn sleepy at the moment. A good nights rest should have me ready to go tomorrow.)

>>
>>24892757
(Well, she LOOKS 21.)
>>
>>24892783

Maybe T. Touchdown knew her.
>>
>>24892757
Your speed was fine. It was getting late on this end as well.
>>
>>24884201
The chest on that Gundam is wrong.
