Gundam AGE Quest Part 18
LAST TIME ON AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/24940274/
My Twitter Account for Updates involving the time/date of the games: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Jake Crocker and you’re on a mission to destroy a space fortress occupied by disgruntled Martian colonists, calling themselves the Vagan, plotting genocide on all of the Earth Sphere while pretending to be aliens. Yesterday you managed to destroy their outposts and capture a lot of their personal from a laboratory. One of the Vagan engineers, Zeek, told you about how you could possibly fix Mellis’s implants but that the data to do so was requested and moved to Ambat under the request of the “Black Raven”

Hogan and Blackmarsh have reported that the lab mainframe of the lab is dead, all of the equipment has been thoroughly destroyed. The only things that weren’t broken were the controls running the gravity block. Hogan found a lot of very large foot prints in the ground there, big for a mobile suit big. The invisible umbrella system was also destroyed by the fleeing personnel to prevent analysis.

Good news is that with the IVU is down and reports have come in that the other operations went off without a hitch, outside of Arnold’s head getting decapitated for his MS no losses or damages were had.

You had the pirates set the Lab’s reactor to blow, ate lunch, took a nap and Tim promised not to do anything stupid in combat with his concussion. Dr. Jones sent you a reply saying you could keep the Gundam as long as you bring him more info on Arthur.

There is one hour till the briefing on the Ambat Attack Plan begins, and two hours till you arrive at Ambat.
What will you do Jake?

(Sorry about yesterday guys, power outage screwed me over till this morning)
>>
>>24976729
Mess around for an hour, maybe chat up with the others to pass time.
>>
>>24976729
No worries, mate. You warned us that might happen ahead of schedule.

For now, I can't really think of anything for Jake to do. The Crusader's loaded out for the attack, we've gotten any relevant information from Zeek, there aren't any repairs to do that we can actually accomplish with our facilities. Maybe try talking to the other prisoners? Someone might know more about the Black Raven's involvement with the Vagan forces.
>>
>>24976785
This.
We should also warn the others that the enemy is probably expecting us because of those guys who managed to escape, as well as that the Black Raven is around and working for the Vagan.
>>
>>24976810
> try talking to the other prisoners?
Zeek definitely appeared to be the exception amongst the prisoners as they ether refuse to speak or threaten to kill you. Even Zeek refuses to give up any information that doesn't involve saving Mellis.

>>24976833
>>24976785
You don't know for sure Black Raven is helping the Vagan, but you have a pretty good feeling she is after what Zeek told you. You find the guys and warn them about Black Raven and the loss of the element of surprise.

"Great, now we have to fight against a Vagan defense" Arnolds groans.

"I wonder what other crap they have waiting for us at Ambat. If they had that Space Orange at that facility, what do they have at their main base?" Ralphie asks aloud, not wanting to know the answer.

"It'll be tough, but we're armed to the teeth. We don't have those cruddy Genoaces anymore, we can hurt them and hurt them bad with what we have" Carlos says reassuringly.

"I agree, we may not have the numeric advantage but we have the skill and firepower advantage." Dad nods. "Even if they do know we're coming and this 'Black Raven'' is waiting, we'll be just as ready as they are"

Your thoughts Jake?
>>
>>24977019
Can we use Ma G run some simulations for the battle?
>>
>>24977019

The 'Black Raven' seems to have a history with the Crusader... If anything, that means that once it shows up, It will be gunning for me...
Hopefully the King Arthur can punch a large hole into the Vagen forces before it shows up. After that, It's down to you lot to make sure that base is popped open like a can-o-beans on an open fire....
>>
>>24977019
"Just be careful out there guys. I'll kill you myself if you die out there."
"The Black Raven will probably focus its attack on me because it apparently has some history with the Crusader. So, I'll probably have to keep the most deadly fighter out there occupied while you take care of the rest of the Vagan forces. But I think she can be reasoned with - she was a rebel for the Colonies during the war - if she knew that the Vagan are killing civilians she fought to protect, we might even manage to turn her over to our side..."
"And remember, we still need to find that data needed to save Mellis. So, Blackmarsh and his pirates will probably have to dock again with the Ambat to clear it from the inside so we can set that data miner and get those drives. We might need a suit or two inside to carry those shuttles - if the files haven't been moved or destroyed in the meantime..."

>>24977045
That's actually an awesome idea.
>>
>>24977045
>Can we use Ma G run some simulations for the battle?
There isn't enough data. If you knew exactly what would be awaiting you in terms of defenses and the types of suits then maybe however there are too many variables for a proper accurate simulation.

>>24977079
>>24977144
> "Just be careful out there guys. I'll kill you myself if you die out there. The Black Raven will probably focus its attack on me because it apparently has some history with the Crusader. "I'm sure Captain Frizzle and Grodek have that all considered in the plans, don't worry" You father says reassuringly.

"If you need help with the Black Raven, don't be afraid to ask" Carlos states with a nod.

Well Jake, anything else you want to do before the briefing?
>>
>>24977414
Nothing I can think of. Just chill for a bit and shoot the breeze. Things will get 'interesting' soon enough.
>>
>>24976729
Did we tell Grodek about trying to not BLOW UP Ambat so we can recover all the stuff we can use to cure Mellis, etc?
>>
>>24977414
Wow this thread is really slow. Just move to the briefing.
>>
>>24977533
I think we should notify him about this.
And we should probably notify others that the Vagans are most likely expecting us so that they can prepare as much as they can.
>>
>>24977533
He already knows. The plan is to blast the garrison and dreadnaughts, break in, raid the computers, blow the central reactor, and get the hell out of dodge.
>>
>>24977414

Time-skip to assault.
>>
>>24977414
Chill out till the briefing.

Finally the briefing comes and everyone onboard the Armstrong assembles in the meeting room.

“We will arrive at Ambat in one hour. 10 minutes before coming into range of Ambat we will deploy our mobile suits and begin our approach. Our first objective is to get the Diva and Armstrong into Photon Blaster range to sink the ships the Vagans most likely have at Ambat, we will deploy Anti-Beam Chaff so we can nullify the ships large weapons long enough for us to get close, we will need heavy MS support as the Vagans will most likely deploy their full MS forces. We’ll be trying to hit as many hangers as we can to slow deployment, but it’s a very large fortress. Once the ships are destroyed the Zalam/Euba Forces along with the Pirates will support our frontal push towards Ambat. Our goal is to dock the Armstrong and Diva with Ambat and send two teams, one lead by Captain Grodek and the other led by Captain Blackmarsh. Grodek’s team will be tasked with finding the reactor and setting explosive charges to destroy it and the rest of Ambat. Captain Blackmarsh’s team will be setting up a dataminer to extract as much data as possible before we destroy Ambat.” Captain Frizzle brings up a few images for reference.

“Do you have any questions?”
>>
>>24977835
Do we have a plan B?
>>
>>24977835
"Can our missiles' sensors handle a long-range ballistic launch? If we could put a few salvos out on a ballistic course ahead of our attack, we might catch some of them off-guard. Anything we can do to thin out the herd should be used. The Armstrong's rail guns have unlimited range, as well. Could our ship's gunner hit the hangars with HE or EMP rounds from just within sensor range?"
>>
>>24977835
"I guess the plan is to put the Vagan forces in a pincer between the pirates and Fardain alliance forces, where we can destroy them en masse with our photon cannons."

"I think you all have been aware of the presence of the Black Raven - I think that this thing will focus its attack mainly on the Crusader, so I'll try to keep her as far away as possible from the rest of you. And maybe she can even be reasoned with - if the records are true, she's a vet from the colony wars who fought for the colonies. So, if we bring out the evidence that the Vagan are trying to kill everyone off, she might even join us."

"For the landing parties - our captives so far have indicated that the personnel there will fight to the death as well as blow their own resources and materials to prevent the enemy from getting their hands on it. Also, expect traps. That place was a military fortress at one point, no reason to think it isn't rigged."

"Also, we should probably use whatever artillery we have at hand - the railguns, the missile barrages, everything - to thin the enemy numbers. We should save those photon cannons due to their 15 minutes cooldown period against capital weaponry and battleships only."

"And finally. Do we have a plan B, and what's the possibility of us getting reinforcements?"
>>
>>24977940
"We plan on a few barrages of missiles, railguns and beam cannon blasts from all of the ships on our approach, but we don't have the sensors for any precision attacks at the range we'll be at. We hope to do some damage, but we need to make sure to keep at least one hanger intact for the Armstrong and the Diva's infiltration" Captain Frizzle explains

>>24978026
"We will keep the Black Raven in mind, but do not expect us to go easy on her. If she is spotted or one of the others has a chance to take her down, they will. She's your responsibility to take in if you wish to do so. The landing parties are well aware of what may wait, especially Captain Grodek. As for Reinforcements, the Madorna Workshop should join us on our rear lines, giving us supplies and a safe place for our troops to repair and rearm as well as a couple of Shaldolls" Captain Frizzle explains.

"There is no Plan B, unless Grodek has one he hasn't informed me of. If something goes wrong then we have very little in means of adaptability, especially when it comes to numbers and support. Our goal is to destroy Ambat, we will use any means necessary to do so."

"Any other questions?"
>>
>>24978154
"No more questions, Captain."
>>
>>24978154
"No more questions. Well... Best of luck, to all of you."
>>
>>24978227
"Wait, Desil reported 3 Fa Bose class dreadnaughts. How are we going to deal with the third dreadnaught. It takes 15 minutes to recharge the Photon Cannons and the Arthur doesn't have the firepower to knock it out. Best I can do is open up the armor in one or two spots with the beam cannon."
>>
>>24978154
"If need be we can always just fly into the base and detonate the reactor manually. Some of the access tunnels look like they're mobile suit sized. Probably so that any refueling vessels can fly right in. Worse comes to worse, Flit and I can probably fight our way to the reactor long enough to set it off."
>>
>>24978301
"The Armstrong will be coming in an a slight angle in an attempt to take out two of the ships at once" Captain Frizzle explains.
>>
>>24978349
"Would it help to draw the battleships' attention with the Gundams? They don't have any real point defense, from what I can tell. Flit and I make a big enough nuisance with the heavy weapons packs we've got equipped, they might have to move to engage us directly."
>>
>>24978301
That's a good question. Could the Arthur blow up their propulsion system to slow them down?
Maybe we should use the beam cannon on the Arthur for their inevitable suicide attack.

>>24978349
We could possibly try to flank them and take them all with one shot. Not likely, but it could work.
>>
>>24978349
"All right. If that doesn't work, I'll open a few holes in the armor with the Arthur's beam cannon and call in the spots for the ships to fire into.."
>>
>>24978393
If the Diva can't get them both, the best bet is to use the Arthur's cannon to cut a few gashes in the armor. Radio in the locations of the weak spots for our battleships to fire into. The more damage they do to the interior, the weaker the dreadnaught becomes, especially if a lucky shot trashes a reactor or power trunking.
>>
>>24978455
The Mega Beam Cannon can at least take out one of the escort cruisers docked to the Fa Bose. So we can probably split their armor pretty easily. If we aim at the connector points when we sweep the beam, we might be able to both take out the cruisers' propulsion systems and seriously damage the base ship's frontal battery.
>>
>>24978455
Yeah. I guess you're right.
I'm just hoping they don't pull off that suicide attack from the series, and that we can't either use Arthur's cannon to stop them or that we can't pinpoint the exact location of the weak spot. I'd rather have an immobile ship than a ship that crashes into us.

>>24978525
Let's go with this one.
>>
>>24978393
>"That's a good question. Could the Arthur blow up their propulsion system to slow them down? Maybe we should use the beam cannon on the Arthur for their inevitable suicide attack."

"We don't know enough about the defenses of the ships or the designs of the ships to know if you could, but I'll allow the Crusader and the AGE-1 to move ahead if our Photon Blaster Attacks fail" Captain Frizzle stats.

"Good luck and god speed everyone" Captain Frizzle gives a salute that all of you return.
----------
You get to the hanger and climb into the Crusader.
"Ready for Combat Operations" Ma G States as you enter the cockpit.

"LETS FIGHT. LETS FIGHT" MID exclaims.

The King Arthur's systems all show green and your weapon containers are all packed and ready:
-Excalibuster
-DODS Shotgun
-DODS Gatling
-DODS Rifle
-EM Ballista with grenade launcher
-Extra Ammunition for Ballista

There Arthur's Fixed weapons are:
Missile Launcher x10
Mega Beam Launcher
Microwave Cannon
EM Field Generator

Are there any last changes to your stored armaments you'd like to make?
>>
>>24978653
Nah, they are ok. Time to roll.
>>
>>24978653
We should pack the shield, too. It's strong enough to take at least one hit from a beam cannon for us, might as well bring it along.
>>
>>24978653

>>
>>24978715
Yeah, this.
>>

the extra ammo for the ballista, is that bolts only or does that include grenades?
>>
>>24978746
Extra Bolts and Extra Grenades as well
>>24978715
The Arthurian Shield has been added to one of the Storage Containers.

Any other changes or are you set to launch Jake?

One by one you’re given the cue to launch and you shout:
""Jake Crocker. King Arthur! Launch!"

Due to being in a mobile armor, you deploy from the side hanger instead of the catapult due to being too big for it. You line up with the others, seeing the Zalam/Euba as well as the pirate forces line up beside their respective ships.

The ships have finally come into view of Ambat. The large mighty fortress seems so massive and malicious from afar, it’s very shape and the dim lights from the hangers give it the appearance of some long dead ancient monster still festering with rot and death incarnate.

Taking aim, all 11 ships line up their weapons and fire. Missiles, railgun shots and beam cannon blasts soar through empty space and into the distance. Small orbs of light can be seen in the distance as the attacks hit their target and light up the face of Ambat.

A few seconds of silence and stillness hang on the air and for a moment it appears Grodek was wrong about Ambat. However the space in front of Ambat begins to flutter and move, as if it were some kind of mirage and suddenly three massive ships appear, disabling their Invisible Umbrella Systems as they open fire with their massive guns.

The ships fire a wave of missiles in response that explode between the Vagan ships and your fleet, throwing a misty like gas into the air. Beam shots fly towards the chaff and disperse upon hitting the cloud, unable to go past it. Your ships continue to fire missiles and the Armstrong fires it’s Railgun as they approach the ships.

Soon enemies appear on radar in large numbers, probably from the ships themselves. Ma G ID’s them as Gafran and Baqto units, in groups of 25. Two groups of Gafran and one group of Baqto are moving towards the Armstrong and Diva.

Everyone else seems to be moving to engage them, the Diva pilots handling the group on the left with the Armstrong pilots handling the group on the right.

What will you do Jake? How will you engage the enemy and which group will you engage?
>>
>>24979042
What's the full armor G-Exes got? I don't think that was ever mentioned, other than that it existed.

We're closest to the group of Gafran. Sweep them down with a short burst from the DODS Gatling.
>>
>>24979042
We should probably maneuver the Zalam/Euba troops and the pirates to begin flanking the opponents so that they're trapped between Ambat and our forces, so that when we fire our photon guns we wreck most of their troops.

Right now, we sweep using the DODS Gatling to pin the enemy forces and maneuver them into the cannon fire from the larger ships. Attack the closest group of Gafrans and try to push them into the Armstrong's line of fire.
>>
>>24979042
Take out those directly in front, and then focus on clearing a path for the cannon.
>>
>>24979042
The Arthur's an MA, so it can't turn for shit. Hit & run tactics with the gatling and the Mega Beam Cannon firing short blasts. The beam cannon can punch through multiple suits per shot, and can recharge much faster in short-time shots. Target the Gafran group with the Armstrong's MS, then sweep out towards the Baqto group to our current right. We want to blast through MS clusters with the cannon and gatling, then fly out of range to re-orient the Arthur for another pass. A target as big as us will draw a lot of attention as well. Our allies can jump them from behind while Jake sows chaos. Dump a few missiles on targets of opportunity.
>>
>>24979042
how big/strong are the missiles? If its not overkill, launch barrage at Baqto.

If that is overkill reserve them for ships/MA, and do this >>24979228
>>
>>24979228
Yeah, we'd need to clear the forces to our right so that the Armstrong can properly flank the 3 ships with its photon cannon.
The pirates should be able to slow down the enemy forces using their nets and dirty tricks, which would allow us to clear the right side more efficiently.
After that, team Armstrong regroups with the pirates to flank the enemy forces in the middle.

The Full Armor G-Exes has it's original armaments, only with improved armor and boosters to make up for the additional weight.
>>24979228
You fly forward at top speed, readying your DODS Gatling as you approach them, firing a steady stream of DODS Shots as they fly through the group. You hit several Gafran, cutting them to ribbons as you leave the swarm.

They turn and fire on you, thankfully you manage to avoid most of their shots and avoid to many hits to the EM Field. Your distraction allows Dad and Carlos to shot a couple in the back, Ralphie charging in and headbutting one from behind, skewering it with his Shaldolls head mounted beam emitter.

You turn and fly towards the Baqto group to your right firing a small barrage of missiles before firing and dragging your Beam Beam Launcher blast across the center of the formation. Your attacks take our more then half, your powerful attacks bypassing the defenses of the Baqto units.

Flying away they fire on you with their heavy weapons, increasing the heat of the EM Field generator drastically. The Pirate Shaldolls are tearing apart the Gafran units, but the Baqto group you attacked is following you and reports state that the Baqto group near the Diva and Armstrong is making a push towards them.

What will you do now Jake?
>>
>>24979462
Hit them with the microwave cannon. It'll fry their circuitry, preventing them from firing and deactivating the EM Armor.
>>
>>24979519
Can we do this while moving towards the group attacking the Armstrong and the Diva?
The guys following us are probably too focused on the Arthur, which would allow the rest of the crew to fuck them over from behind.
>>
>>24979462
Drag our pursuers into range of the pirate ships. Vagan EM Armor works against MS-grade weapons, but capital guns and missiles would shred them in short order. Comm ahead to the pirate ships with the plan. Re-orient to come back for a pass on the Baqto group near our ships.
>>

You decide to keep them out of reach but chasing you, giving your EM Field Generator time to cool as you radio the pirate ships and ask them to hammer the Baqto following you, giving them a set of coordinates you'll be flying through. As you pass through it and the Baqto enter it, the Pirates launch a flurry of missiles and beam blasts, butchering most of the remaining units and leaving a few behind for the Shaldolls to get.

Turning, you fly towards the group heading towards your ships and sweep your Mega Beam Launch across the group, Flit in his Gigantic Wear fires his finger mounted Beam Cannons as you leave the group. Your attacks cut the group's numbers in half, but there still coming.

Reports come in that the Baqto's near the Zalam/Euba group seem to be giving them some trouble as well.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24979751
MAs can't turn very well, and Jake's heading in front of the pirate ships. He needs time and room to turn back towards the Armstrong and Diva. The pirate ships can shred our pursuers and give Jake the room he needs, and some time to cool down the EMI-Field generator.
>>
>>24979793
Again, I advocate microwave blasts. It's practical, and fun to use an energy weapon other than beam weaponry.
>>
>>24979793
Do a high speed tackle through the 89% group of Garfans, and attack the Baqtos that are at 90%.
>>
>>24979793
Jake's already heading that way, so engage. Jake can scatter and distract the Baqto group while the battleships and MS clean up after him. Radio ahead with our plan for better coordination with the Allies. Jake is the tip of the spear. Our job is to punch through formations to ease the burden on our allies. The trips between groups also gives Jake time to cool the generator and recharge the beam cannon.
>>
>>24979793
Cut a path towards that group of Bagtos at 90%. Use some goo grenades to hamper the nearby enemies (mostly those Gafrans) and cut them down using,
Once you get to that group of Bagtos at 90%, flank them using the Gatling, blast through them and order the Fardain ships to fire at your coordinates.
>>
>>24979947
> using the DODS gun.
>>
>>24979813
Yes, I follow what you were saying. My only addition was to lay down fire on the gafran group which layed between us and the Baqto's

>>24979793
>>24979890
And we can apply it here as well, fire on the Gafran with Gatlings and the Baqto's with the beam cannon as we fly latterly across the field. Radio our path to friendlies for clean up
>>
>>24979985
Combined Arms in Space. Jake and Flit act as armor, spearing through enemy concentrations with their firepower. MS work as infantry, clearing out the enemy forces and securing the area. The battleships are our artillery, breaking up and slowing down Vagan MS for friendly forces to mop up. Likely our best way to fight at the moment. Things will change if the Vagan deploy MA of their own, but for now I think this is the way to go.
>>
>>24980062
Agreed.
We could maneuver the Armstrong slowly to the right, make it switch places with some of the pirate ships - begin that flanking maneuver for when the Vagans deploy their MA.
>>
>>24980062
agreed, tis a good plan.

You head towards the Baqto group harassing the Zalam/Euba units and decide to try out the Microwave cannon. As you approach the group, you charge the cannon and fire it. The Baqto's don't react to it as unlike beam weaponry microwaves aren't visible. A few of the units go limb and begin to drift, others seem to spaz out or veer off as the pilots get sick or are cooked alive. However you discover the Microwave cannon is very inaccurate and you fire with the DODS Gatling to try and clear more units out. The DODS Gatling destroys the disabled or dead units, but the active units Electromagnetic Armor soaks up the DOS Gatling barrage like it was nothing and returns fire.

By the time you pass the Baqto group and the Gafran group, your EM Field Generator is starting to overheat from the shots you've taken, on top of that the ships don't appear to be doing as much damage to the units, the Vagan seem to have caught on that the ships tend to fire on them as you show up.

You get a report that the remaining Baqtos over by the pirates managed to get away from the Shaldolls and kamikazed one of the pirate ships. It's currently heavily damaged and it's not helped by the fact that it's the one missing it's bridge. At the moment the crew is attempt repairs, but can't move.

At lot of the Vagan units are pulling back or regrouping, some are starting to move back into the beam chaff for protection, it's starting to dissipate and will only last another 10 minutes.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24979793
we haven't used our microwave cannon yet lets use it on the Baqto in front of Diva the move to aid the zalam/Euba forces.
>>
>>24979793
General orders call out: Allied MS are to push Vagan MS into groups for easier targeting by battleships. Cluster them together, then blast them with capital weapons.
>>

We're on our way to the Zalam/Euba group, we can thin the forces in the center on our way there.
Drop some EMP / goo grenades to stop them from spreading to much, leave the isolated ones to the MS and the grouped for the capital weaponry to take out.
>>
>>24980275
Time to close the trap.
Order the Zalam/Euba and the pirates to begin pushing the forces to the center, so that the photon cannon fire can eliminate most of them.
>>
>>24980275
>>24980291
Don't bother with the Microwave Cannon. Fall back towards the Euba/Zalam forces. Jake needs time to let the generator cool. His seeming retreat could draw some of the Vagan MS back towards our suits in hopes of taking Jake out. Friendly MS and ships should stand ready if this happens. It's about time to attack the Fa Bose dreadnaughts. Jake needs his MA ready for the next push.
>>
>>24980365
Yeah. We want them running to the safety of the ships. The Photon Blaster Cannons have a wide enough beam that they can take the mobile suits out with the ships when they fire. Well, most of them, anyway.
>>
>>24980365
Bad idea. Intel reports almost eight times more MS than what we just faced. Pursuing through the chaff opens our forces up to the Fa Bose as well. Need to get in position to deal with those.

>>24980409
We can't waste Photon Cannons on MS. They take 15 minutes to recharge. That would leave our ships open to the Fa Bose for 5 minutes before the main guns recharge. Are you trying to get Jake killed?!
>>
>>24980475
No, I mean that they'll be caught along with the ships when we shoot them. The Photon Blasters have a big beam diameter. I want the mobile suits retreating to the ships so they get hit, too. And it's not like they have enough mass that them getting in between us and the ship will shield the ships in any real way.
>>
>>24980515
Ah, so that's what you mean. I'm not certain the Diva and Armstrong are in PBC range for the Fa Bose, though. They need more separation to catch all three dreadnaughts in the same shots.

The Vagan's have fully retreated into the beam chaff which has 5 more minutes before it's fully dispersed.

You wait, letting your generator cool down as the ships and forces push forward. The Diva and Armstrong are nearly in firing range but the Vagan mobile suits hiding in the anti-beam chaff field are rather close.

What would you like to do?
>>
>>24980681
At this moment, some proximity mines would be awesome to have.
We should probably reload and refill if we can, and order the ships to fire the instant that beam chaff comes down.
>>
>>24980721
Yeah. Can we get an AMEMBO out here with some resupply on the missiles?
>>
>>24980681
Missile barrage from the battleships. Beam chaff doesn't do too much to Federation sensors, so our shots should be relatively accurate. Even 30% missiles on target would annihilate the Vagan MS remnants. 10 ships times 32 launchers per ship. Enemy remnants are approximately 120 MS. I think that could take care of this wave.
>>
>>24980721
Better fall back to the Armstrong for refuel and reload. Shits about to hit the fan and we want to be fully loaded for it.
>>
>>24980846
Yeah. We need to be prepared for HER.
>>
>>24981039
And Crosswire knows what else. Our map lists and unknown MA and artillery unit we haven't met yet. The MA is likely to pounce while our ships are focused on the dreadnaughts. The artillery unit will probably fuck up the insertion.
>>
>>24981084
Most likely.

They did move something here from the lab, and I doubt it was only the research data.
Maybe we run into a Farsia with artillery bits? Or some custom made MA?
>>
>>24981168
The 'MA' could be Raven flying around in Bird Mode. I bet the artillery are the Defurse anchoring to Ambat's surface and using their heavy beam cannons as makeshift artie.
>>
>>24981204
Yeah, that's what's probably going to happen. Still, we should expect some nasty surprise like that Orange thingy from a while ago.
>>
>>24981168
I'm still worried about the Black Raven wanting the research data. There are so many bad things she could want to do with X-Rounder research. Hopefully it's just something like "Sergeant Arthur was an X-Rounder, so I want to know how to defeat them more easily".

You return to the Armstrong and dock to get rearmed. Taking a breather you watch as the Zalam/Euba and Pirate ships fire missiles into the chaff cloud, taking out good chunks of the now retreating vagan mobile suits.

The Armstrong and Diva finally reach firing range turn, lining themselves up with their targets. Slowly their cannons begin to charge up, each ships engineers lining the AGE Builders up with the cannons energy connectors. Just as the beam chaff begins to clear and the Vagan ships begin to fire, both captains yell out:

"FIRE PHOTON BLASTER CANNON!"

You throw your hands up as a blinding light swallows up your vision, two massive beam blasts cutting through the chaff, the ships behind them and the fortress behind them in two eruptive shots.

As the light dies you see the destruction the photon blaster cannons wrought. The massive, molten wrecks of the Vagan ships drift downwards, small secondary explosions and fires slowly tearing themselves apart. Two gaping holes have been burned through the fortress, going all the way to the other end.

The ships go down in flames lights a fire of hope in everyones hearts...before Vagan begin to pour of the fortress like hornets out of a kicked hive.

Beam Turrets rise up out of the surface of Ambat along with strange red suits with large tails. Baqto and Gafran's begin to pour out of base as well mobilizing and storming towards your fleet.

Before you can make a plan of action, a female voice comes over the comms:

If you don't get here in the next 10 minutes, I'll destroy the data that can save that girl of yours, if she's not dead from her implants already. For her life or for revenge, come and fight the Raven little boy or I'll make you suffer beyond your imagination. Bring any help and I'll destroy the data even if you come." The female voice is elegant but deranged at the same time.

It cuts out and leaves you with a set of coordinates.

Well Jake, what do you do?

>>
>>24981409
Our ships should fire away their beam chaff missiles, or they'll get torn to ribbons. Prepare the photon cannons to fire again.
Can someone else use the King Arthur beside us? We need speed, and that thing would only slow us down.
>>
>>24981409
"Sorry guys, I have a social call to make, can't keep a lady waiting. I'll keep the Raven from hitting us.

Pirates, could you try to open a hole on the east side with some missiles? I'll deal with the rest."
>>
>>24981457
Well, then, our course of action is clear. We plow through any enemies in our path, in the process getting the King Arthur wrecked so we have a proper mobile suit battle with the Black Raven using the Chimera. Let's through caution to the wind and let our armor and EM Shield soak the damage while we expend munitions recklessly in order to clear a path. Makes it all nice and dramatic for our boss fight.

>>
>>24981457
Charge in like a real man. If there's no hole, then we'll drill one though the enemy. Recommend battleships target unknown MS with missiles on delayed drive ignition. It'll take the missiles longer to get there, but if they don't ignite their drives until the last minute, the missiles will be MUCH harder to see and intercept.
>>
>>24981556
No, it's the Abigel. Think a Baqto with a powered-up tail cannon.

http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Abigel
>>
>>24981467
It's pretty much built for the crusader. Besides, this puppy has plenty of speed, just shit mobility. We are going to have to shred a direct path through the enemy to get there and the king arthur is what we need for that. When we face her however, we may need to ditch it and be ready for whatever trap she has for us. Besides, softening the enemy as we approach is just as important as getting there. We won't be able to support the front lines while facing the Raven.
>>
>>24981586
That's actually a relief, I was afraid we were going to face an army of Zehearts with Gen-3 suits.

>>24981625
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
We need the Arthur to break through to her, but we're dead if we fight her with it, and I'm not sure if we can reequip it quickly after we ditch it.
We still should fire away our beam chaff missiles, or those artillery units are going to rip us a new one.
>>
>>24981409
Recommend that Allies use the Fa Bose wrecks as shelters from Ambat's beam cannons. Those either need to be picked off by Armstrong's rail cannon or a close-range attack.

You receive no response, only the silence of the minutes ticking away.

>>24981584
You notice the ships have been firing missiles at the red units, which are bombarding your ships and suits with artillery like beam blasts that seem to arc. However when the missiles get to close, their shot down be a large, very visible scatter beam blast. Seems the suits have been tuned for defense and 'Anti-Air' so to speak.

The ships deploy Anti-Beam Chaff around the cannons, but are quickly running out of it.

>>24981477
> "Sorry guys, I have a social call to make, can't keep a lady waiting. I'll keep the Raven from hitting us. Pirates, could you try to open a hole on the east side with some missiles? I'll deal with the rest."

"Roger that!" One of the ships operators responds as you dart off towards the maintenance hanger.

With only 8 minutes to spare, you barrel through the enemy swarm, firing off as many missiles as you can, laying down fire with your DODS Gatling in one hand, DODS Shotgun in the other and and firing the Mega Beam Launcher and Microwave cannon.

You punch through the wave, but you take a tremendous amount of beam fire and have to disconnect your EM Field drive in the middle of the swarm as it overheats and explodes. The explosion covers your escape and your soon out of visual range of the vagan MS.

On approach to the maintenance hanger you find that it's very small, cramped and dark. It's totally unlit and heavy metal powders have been spread into the air, ether by your attacks or by Raven to fuck with your Gundam's sensors.

How do you proceed Jake? The Arthur is too big to fit inside the maintenance hanger.
>>
>>24981845
Question: Do we have the Chimera at the moment?
>>
>>24981845
Detach from the Arthur. Retrieve the Excalibuster, shield, and EM Ballista from the weapon containers. Attach the Ballista to the tail mounting. Take a few extra magazines for the ballista attached to our waist hardpoints. Fire a slow-burn flare into the hanger to illuminate it. Then, finally, enter.
>>
>>24981845
Disconnect. The Chimera's maneuverability will serve Jake better in this arena. Send the Arthur past the entrance as a decoy, if possible. I don't think Rysis will use a sneak attack, but better to be wary...
>>
>>24981845
Send out a message how you don't want to fight her, but prepare the Excalibuster and the shield. Also, equip goo grenades that we'll launch if she decides to charge at us.
If we must ditch the Arthur, better inform Flit about it - I guess his Gundam can use it as well.

>>24981876
Yep.

"Raaaaaaaven, come out and plaaaaaay. I came all this way for our little date and you're standing me up, not very ladylike are you?

Seriously, what's the point of this?"

I don't like the look of the heavy metals, there any way we can clear them out before we disengage the King Arthur and head on in?
>>
>>24981845
AP rounds from the Armstrong should be fast and dense enough to punch through scattering beam cannons. And since they don't emit energy like missiles, they'd be harder for sensors to notice.
>>
I assume mental deterioration combined with an obsession with defeating the Gundam resulted in her current state. I don't think we'll be able to reason with her.
>>
>>24981965
Not likely. She prefers to fight on her own terms - I guess we could flush her out with some grenades, though.
Also, don't tease a psychopath. Better to ask her why she's joined a genocide against the very colonies she fought to protect.
>>
>>24982010
But it's so much fun to tease psychos.
>>
>>24982045
I swear, if she turns out like Kodachi Kuno or worse, Gasai Yuno, I'm blaming YOU!
>>
>>24982069
Well, we need someone to stick around and be Haman to our 2nd/3rd gen protagonists.
>>
>>24981845
In the end, this is a one on one fight.. hopefully. She likely has biggs and wedge with her, but any outside help will make this go for nothing. Ditch the Arthur, ready the chimera, grab our sword and ballista and be ready to fight our rival.
>>
>>24981876
(You put on the Chimera wear before putting on the Arthur. Yes)
>>24981930
The King Arthur is only compatible with the Crusader.
>>24981904
>>24981930
Fixing Arthur to the side of Ambat, you disconnect and slide out of the Arthur, opening it's containers and retrieve the Excalibuster, shield, and EM Ballista from the weapon containers.

Ploping the Ballista into your tail you put some various ammo on your Gundam's hip hardpoints and equip the Arthurian Shield and Excalibuster

You toss a spare ammo clip across the opening of the maintenance hanger to make sure there wasn't a surprise waiting for you. It passes by unharmed and enter.

The heavy metals are everywhere, not obviously spread through the maintenance hanger and probably the long corridor behind it. Floating into the hanger, you notice it's empty.

"I see you've arrived little boy. Don't expect much conversation out of me. Find me and then we'll talk" Raven says, ending with a laugh that cuts out along with the signal.

You see that the corridor up ahead splits. Your sensors are heavily dampened and the spaces are very enclosed, offering little mobility.

What will you do?
>>
>>24982069
> Gasai Yuno
Oh, fuck. Imagine if she and Arthur had a thing. And Jake looks just like Arthur.
>>
>>24982126
She seems to like the dramatic, so head to the center for the showdown at the reactor.
>>
>>24982126
Fuck enclosed spaces, we've got a giant fucking vibrosword why should we care about the space she's provided for us. Start chopping holes through everything, removing walls, pick a direction and casually head that way regardless of any walls or obstacles in the way.
>>
>>24982126
Pick up that spare ammo clip first. And some debris we're going to throw around to check for traps.
>>
>>24982126
If only we were an X-Rounder and had extrasensory perception. Oh well. Complete random chance, let's head left. Be careful going around corners, and keep scanning for heat sources. Even if we've got reduced sensor range, it might give us a bit of a warning about weapons fire or explosive traps.
>>
>>24982190
Actually, we've got a Muramasa Blaster expy with us. Though, I think it can also double as a vibroblade. I don't remember.
>>
>>24982126
Grab that magazine Jake tossed. We may end up needing it. Does Jake have any idea which path leads where? Might want to check the Sentinel System, too. If the Vagan didn't do too much remodeling, Jake might find something useful...
>>
>>24982190
I like you. Your ideas intrigue me. Let's do it.
>>
>>24982216
It's a giant choppy sword with beam emitters and I doubt we took out any of it's vibrating or other choppy abilities, it'll probably go through the walls no problem.
>>
>>24982190
...why don't we head out for the Arthur and fire one of his megabeams? Or cut through the walls so all that metal flies out?
>>
>>24982280
She has the drives we need. Pissing her off will end badly.

You begin to cut through the wall with your Excalibuster, however you find only solid rock behind that. You continue cutting and slashing and shooting for what seems like ten minutes and you have the start of a good tunnel. However beam blasts behind you alert you to the presence of more Zedas, three on each end of the hall and moving towards you with intent to kill.

How did they know where you were? There sensors should be just as messed up as you are. Plus Vagan can't have that many X-Rounders, unless...all the Zedas were being controlled by a single person. Desil said he could control other X-Rounder mobile suits...

Turning round you bolt out of your tunnel, firing three HE grenades down the hall from your ballista, destroying or just disabling the three Zedas down. You spin around and blitz down the hall, flailing the Excalibuster wildly. Due to the closer spaces they can't avoid you, besides their movements seem very delayed and robotic.

You finish them and are left in the empty hallway once again.

>>

Let's just follow down the hallway to the left. The tunnel isn't really getting us anywhere. If she questions why we were wasting our time with it, save face by claiming that it was just to confuse her and draw her out.

The two Zedas manage to catch you off guard, the first blows your shield to bits with it's torso mounted beam cannon and the other blows your EM Ballista to bits with it's vulcans.

They charge in and manage to keep you occupied for 5 minutes before you chop the fuckers to bits, losing precious time and resources to them.

You hear Raven laugh over the comms.
"Location detected." Ma G Announces.

"Fuck yes" You smile.
Who said fucking up was always bad?

It's calming down it's fine.

You make your way to her location after going back to the Arthur and slapping the DOS Shotgun into your tail and putting the DOS Rifle on your back you.

Excalibuster in hand you enter a large, pitch black room.

"So, you made it. Finally. I was wondering how many I'd have to send before you showed up. I'll send you the data for making it this far and being stupid enough to come alone. Now all you have to do is survive"

The lights come on, revealing the Black Raven and 5 Zedas lined up along each wall.

What do you do Jake? Let her talk or attack?

"You're THE Black Raven, right?"
"Hero of the colonies, famous rebel, thorn in the side of the Federation? You fought for the independence of all the colonies and against the corruption of the Federation during the Colony wars?"
"So, my question is, why do you fight for the side preforming genocide on innocent people? The same people you fought for?"
>>
>>24983663
Talk

"So you finally want to dance, eh? May I know my partner's name? If you don't already know, I'm Jake Crocker, a colonist who was shanghaied into this mess by the Fedration. Apparently, jacking an ancient MS to protect my home is illegal. Who knew? So, what's the point of this? Sargent's been dead for a century now, the Vagan are just as bad as the Federation, and the colonies are caught in the middle. Why join up with those genocidal asshats?"
>>
>>24983663
"I appreciate the courtesy. Now, what's this about? I know you fought against the Gundam during the Colony Wars, but that's no reason to hold a grudge against the machine itself. What reason do you have that's so worthwhile that you'd ally with the people killing the descendants of those you fought for in the wars? What did Arthur do to you that you're willing to do this?"
>>
>>24983663
Chat with her. "You said we could talk if I got here.

Would you mind answering a few questions I have?

Why are you doing this? Everyone you have a grudge against is gone, you're working for the fucking Vagan now, you are working with the mustache twirliest villains this side of tying young girls to train tracks. Why? What do you actually want?

Revenge on Arthur, your opponent? He's dead, has been for over a hundred years. Revenge on the Gundam? It's a hunk of metal and honestly given how much I've modified and repaired it most of its original parts are slag or trash.

Is there a point to what you're doing?"
>>
>>24983786
Somehow I get the horrible feeling that she's not doing this because of the past, but because she has something against us specifically. She managed to put the dots together from the after-action reports on their attempt to use Mellis as a weapon, and realized what we care about. And MID said he was reminded of Arthur when he saw us. We're not like,Arthur's great-grandson are we? Hell, maybe we're her great-grandson. Maybe she just wants to test our mettle to see if we inherited any of her spirit of rebellion.
>>

Spirit of Rebellion? Oh yeah, got plenty of that!
>>
>>24983920
Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Maybe she and Arthur were the whole "star-crossed enemy lovers" thing. They were torn apart by their respective allegiances, and found themselves on opposite sides of the battlefield. And now she wants to see which ancestor we take after.

Or at least, that would make for fun drama.

In that line of thought, ten bucks says that when T Touchdown is finally revived, he initially mistakes us for Arthur.

>"You promised we would talk if I make it this far."

"Ugh, fine if you want to run your mouth before I kill you then fine. Go right ahead" Rysis says with a groan

>"You're THE Black Raven, right?"

"Yes, congratulations your not a complete idiot"

>"Hero of the colonies, famous rebel, thorn in the side of the Federation? You fought for the independence of all the colonies and against the corruption of the Federation during the Colony wars?"

"Hero? Not a chance. Famous? Kind of, more like Infamous. Thorn in the side of the Federation? Absolutely. I fought for the colonies to free them, yes"

>"So, my question is, why do you fight for the side preforming genocide on innocent people? The same people you fought for?"

"Because they gave up, they bowed to the Federation and stopped fighting. I fought for the people because they swore to fight the Federation to the death. I was lied too. So I'm siding with the people who are still fighting, or started fighting. Regardless, I like them. I like them A LOT"

>>24983763
>"So you finally want to dance, eh? May I know my partner's name? If you don't already know, I'm Jake..."

"Jake Crocker. Born in the Zarth Colony, mother is a school teacher, father is a famous ace for the Federation. Your best friend and possibly GIRLFRIEND is Mellis, the little girl with broken implants in her head. Her anguish has allowed me to upgrade myself. Nice to be able to control mobile suits with my thoughts"

>Why are you doing this? Everyone you have a grudge against is gone, you're working for the fucking Vagan now, you are working with the mustache twirliest villains this side of tying young girls to train tracks. Why? What do you actually want?

"I want you dead Jake. I want you to suffer until you want to DIE. You pushed me to the breaking point and NO ONE DOES THAT TO ME AND LIVES. Only one man did that...and he was special to me. He was the exception. Your the mistake!" The Raven's mono-eye flashes menacingly.

>>
>>24984017
"Lady, I seriously just met you a week ago, and our interaction was kinda brief, you ripped my head off, I broke your wing, honestly we came out pretty even there. I would hardly consider that your breaking point. I'm willing to forgive and forget if you are.

And I'm sorry I'm not your special someone, I'm guessing it was Arthur, he sounds like a nice guy. I can't be Arthur, but I can tell you he'd be disappointed in you right now. You're not even fighting for yourself anymore, or for freedom, or the colonies. You're fighting because you don't know what else to do, and it's sad.

Do you know what's going to happen with the Vagan? You're a smart cookie, you ought to know this already. They're going to go and destroy the Federation, good on them, then they'll kill you, probably using the chunks of metal they shoved into your head, and you know what? They'll be exactly the same as the Federation just with a new haircut and different color scheme. Nothing will change.

Can you however take a guess on who is planning on taking the Federation out instead of just replacing them? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. Time to fight, eh. Controlling those mobile dolls will slow down her reaction time. Blow a few up, and maybe Jake can use the distraction to close in and wreck that rifle. Or you know, she follows us because she's faster than us, and has more room to play in. We like close quarters in our sword and shield mech with our main ranged weapon gone. We go outside she can kite us all day, inside we can get her into a clinch and bash her into walls.
>>
>>24984694
Fair enough. Let's fire off both our chest DODS shotgun and the tail-mounted one. Just spray spiraling plasma bolts everywhere as a distraction while duck around and take her rifle out.
>>
I kinda hope MID plays a recording of Arthur at this moment. You know, "Rysis, if you're hearing this, it probably means that I'm dead."
He then confeses that he loved her and wanted to settle down with her, she freezes and lets us go.
>>
>>24984663
You pick off the ground as the Zedas crash into one another trying to grab onto you.

Raven fires her Buster Rifle, expecting you to have gotten caught by the Zedas. Her blast varporizes the Zedas and cuts a large ass hole in the floor leading to the lower level.

You fire your chest mounted and tailmounted DODS Shotgun, managing to hit her buster rifle as she tries to drop down out of the shot.

Discarding her rifle it explodes, throwing you back and propelling her into the rooms below. "Damn it, you always go for the gun don't you?" She growls as she drops off radar trying to flee deeper into Ambat to lose you.

What now Jake? Follow her and risk running into a trap or let her go and risk having her come back with reinforcements?
>>

Bug out for now. It'd be nice to have our own reinforcements. So let's make sure they survive to help us kick Raven's shapely ass! God, how bad are things outside anyways? Jake's been inside for a good 15-20 minutes now. Better get back to the Arthur for a properly dramatic Dynamic Entry into battle. Bonus points if Jake plays Trombe Override over the comms after saving Flit or his Dad with a beam cannon blast.
>>
>>24984809
If we got to the entrance could we fire off a transmission with the data files to the Armstrong? If so, that should be our first priority. Even if we die here, Mellis lives.

Then, we pursue. Fuck the Black Raven. We're sick of people blaming us for things that we never had any say in. She hates us for not being Arthur or some shit like that? Fine. We're not Arthur. We don't care. We just want her to not interrupt the rest of the battle, and if playing her vengeance games with us keeps her from that, that's fine.

>>

Leaving Raven means that she ganks us on the battlefield. I wouldn't put it past her to sink the Diva or the Armstrong with another buster rifle.
>>
>>24985003
Exactly. We are preventing main character death. Keeping an ace out of the way is the best thing we can do right now. And we do want to get a situation update. We just want to go back after her, afterwards.
>>
>>24985071
Hmm, let's at least get a situation update before charging back into Ambat. How's the main battle going? Good, bad? Is the invasion force already inside? Need information!!!
>>
>>24984983
>>24984905
You rush back to the entrance and begin transmitting the data back to the ship, calling Dorthy for a situation update.

"Things are pretty rough! We're dealing with a lot of forces now that the Diva and Armstrong are docked. There are these hug things walking around inside Ambat! One blew a hole in the side of the Diva, thankfully it wasn't a critical system." Dorthy explains, out of breath.

"Everyone OK? Where is Dad?" You ask.

"He went chasing off after the big Mobile Armor. He's been gone for a while, everyone else on the Diva and Armstrong are OK."

"Thanks Dorthy."

"Shit reports just came in. Your dad is in the hanger and in a lot of trouble, Hogan and Blackmarsh are pinned down in the command center with the data-miner and there reports that mobile suits are on their way to the hanger to attack the Diva!"

You are now at a Crossroads. You can go to the reactor, the hanger where the Diva and Armstrong are or you can go to the Command Center. You don't know where Rysis went, but she probably hasn't given up on you yet.

What will you do Jake? You can probably help everyone, but you have to act now.
>>
>>24985238
(Sorry, your Dad is at the Reactor)
>>
>>24985238
Let's go to dad first. And from there, work our way towards the docks.
>>
>>24985238
Shit. This is why I said to dick with the pirate ships, not the flagships. Oh well. Fuck, okay, let's go to the Diva. Take out the mobile suits, then get over to the command center. Then head to the reactor and hope Dad isn't dead yet.

Where's Flit in all this? He dealing with Defurses like in canon?
>>
>>24985238
Hmm, this is a mess. Clear the hangar first. That can free up forces to reinforce the others. From there, fight our way to the Command Center. If Flit's around, send him towards the reactor. His X-Rounder abilities and engineering knowledge could be handy against a Mobile Armor. We don't have a map of Ambat, so we might as well fight our way through the same path Jake's people did. Clear an area, then bring some of the Allies in the area to clear the next. Any other ideas, people?
>>
>>24985353
Dad most likely met the Black Raven. We need to get to him first.
We can break through to the Diva after that - Flit and Woolf can probably hold off whatever is thrown at them.
>>
>>24985375
Don't we have to go through the hangar to get to the reactor? Might as well trash the Vagan heading through towards the Diva and assaulting the control center on the way.
>>
>>24985460
I doubt it. They only went through the hangar because it was the only place where they could land.
We are already inside the base, we only need to push deeper, and we'll get there first.

I guess we could send Flit and Woolf forward to the reactor, followed by team Armstrong.
Team Armstrong is to alleviate the pirates, while team Diva pushes towards the reactor.
Once dad is rescued, we fall back to the hangar.
>>
>>24985514
No map of Ambat though. Remember the mess Jake had finding Rysis? If we have a map, then I'd go for the reactor and fight our way out. If Jake doesn't have a map, then we gotta go through the hangar. Jake doesn't need to trash every MS he comes across. Just thin the herd out to ease the burden on the defenders.
>>
>>24985568
Fuck. Jack is toast, isn't he?

How about this:
We should get the Arthur and group with Flit. His X-Rounder powers would let us see where to go.
Jake and Flit go save Jack, while the rest splits into two teams - one goes in to save the pirates, the other stays behind to protect the docks.
>>
>>24985620
Depends. If Dorthy has a map of Ambat, then we could go for the reactor and then catch the forces bogging down the pirates in a flank attack. If we don't have a map, then Jake's either gotta take the long way (hangar, C&C, reactor) or get damn lucky navigating. Anything from the Sentinel System? We sure could use a road map, here!

You do have a map of Ambat it's just very, very old *And I'm too pressed on time to draw one out* Remember that Ambat was made by the Federation a loooong time ago so it's not completely different just a lot of parts are...

Going through the hole in the floor to the lower level you make your way to the reactor, or where it used too/is supposed to be. Thankfully you manage to find it without too much trouble, most of the Vagans appear to be outside, for better or for worse.

You arrive at the reactor to see a massive mobile armor with long ass legs crushing the lower part of your Dad's mobile suit, with him stabbing his Beam Sabers into it's foot to try and get it off. The Black Raven takes his fallen DODS Rifle off the floor and fires behind you. She hits a control panel and seals the blast doors.

"And exposed reactor? Are you kidding me?" You groan, wishing you were outside fighting people who weren't fucking insane.

"I got your Dad kid. I'd shoot him right now, but I don't want to spoil the fun of what we have going. Shouldn't piss off the person who's beaten me once already, I wanna see what you can do"

"Jake. A virus has been detected trying to invade my system from the Black Raven. I should be able to fight it off but I'll need my full processing power so I won't be able to help you" Ma G explains.

“Seriously, what the fuck is your problem lady? What did I ever do to you!?!” You yell.

“Is it so hard to realize that I just don’t like the fact you beat me and that you remind me too much of Arthur? I DON’T LIKE THE IDEA OF FUCKING A 15 YEAR OLD BOY THANK YOU VERY MUCH!” Rysis yells and lets loose with a few shots from the DODS Rifle she stole off your Dad, the Mobile Armor firing off a scatter shot blast at you.

(Roll 1d100 vs Pilot Skill. 40 or below will succeed. 1 is a critical success, 100 is a critical failure. I'll be accepting the first 6 rolls on this one)

Rolled 49

Fuck.
See if we can evade so that the MA and Raven hit each other.

"I didn't beat you, we tied at best.

And you have 100 years on me, at least wait until I'm 20 before you start hitting on me."

I find the combat interesting, and as this thread demonstrated the rolling aspect of it allows for much despair and joy.

Tell her that she can't stop the love.

Rolled 10

>>24985709
Oh for fucks sakes...Shota-con Raven.
>>
HAMAN-SAMA!
>>
>>24985709
Yeah, the combat's been fun. It's got sufficient drama, and we've got plenty of tacticool going on. Don't sweat the details.
>>
>>24985755
Mostly despair, because /tg/ dice are dicks.
But the combat has been fun.

Seriously, wait five years, get back to me on that."

"Maybe I could talk Melis into joining."

>""Jesus, lady, why is that where your mind goes?! You don't have to fuck everyone who puts up a decent fight. That's neither how sex or fighting works. Seriously, wait five years, get back to me on that." You say cheekily

You fly upwards attempting to dodge and manage to avoid the scattering beam cannon, only to get your left arm blown off by the Revan. You fire your DODS Shotguns and spray your remaining beam vulcan, forcing Raven to evade allowing you just enough time to fly forward and tackle the mobile armor backwards onto the reactor, freeing your Dad.

"Thanks son, I'm glad to see you. My mobility is shot with my suits leg's crushed like this, but I can still move around and fight, I got plenty of tricks in my shield..."

Dad's mobility is shit and your in very fight quarters with a deadly ace, a stupidly exposed reactor and a massive ass mobile armor.

What now Jake?
>>
>>24985889
Hug that leg, and fondle it while dragging it to the reactor. Use Jack's thrusters as well. Basically group huddle around the leg.
>>
>>24985889
The Raven is faster than us, but there isn't a single MS that's tougher and better in melee than us.

So charge the bitch, make use of the tight quarters, bash her into a wall, sword her, pin her to the floor or wall, and ground pound the shit out of her.

No technical expertise, no grace, just raw brutal smashing her in the face.
>>
>>24985889
Beam Shoryuken the Defurse's tail-gun/dick. Do that and it loses pretty much all of its ability to defend against non-frontal attack.
>>
>>24985930
True. Jake is pretty good when he's just bashing things to death. Hell, pull an Amada and use our damaged arm as a club if we need to.
>>
>>24985889
We just knocked a MA onto an exposed reactor. Depending how Crosswire handles that, the Defurse could be a non-factor. Put the Excalibuster through the Defurse's main gun while the pilot's disoriented. Then we deal with Rysis. I hate to risk Jack, but his bag of tricks could be what Jake needs to take Rysis out. Do we have any grenades left?
>>
>>24985965
We have a sword, using our arm as a club would be silly.

Though we might have to use the sword to chop up the MA before we charge the bitch. Might have to throw it and then use our arm as a club.
>>
>>24985991
I assumed from the detail that we were using the hand-mounted beam vulcan that we lost the sword when our arm got blown off.
>>
>>24985991
We can cut the leg and use it as a large club.
>>
>>24985968
Your grenades are spent I'm afraid, your Dad on the other hand...

Rysis charges him, deciding to cripple him and dispose of him so she can fight you. However throws his shield an pulls the same shit he did on you. A volley of 'trick' grenades splatter Rysis's suit, covering it in goo, Anti-Beam chaff and several nets. She crashes to the ground and skids as you fly up and plunge the Defurse through it's main gun...and into the reactor behind it.

"WARNING: Critical reactor melt down in several minutes" Ma G informs you as coolant begins to spray out of the reactor.

"WHO THE FUCK DESIGNS A REACTOR LIKE THIS!" You scream

(And this is where we will be ending things for tonight. Tomorrow we finish this! Check my twitter in case I get sucked into another tornado. So, how was this part?)
>>
>>24986067
Hey, perfect chance to ground pound the living fuck out of Rysis.

Good thread, very combaty, that damn Nat 100.
>>
>>24986067
That was damned fun. Now its time for a Death Star Run! I hoped it would end with a Death Star Run. See ya tomorrow, Crosswire.
>>
>>24986067
It was pretty awesome. Jack is badass as always.
>>
>>24986067
I'm liking the twists that you're pulling, and I look forward to how we're escaping this place.
>>
>>24986067
Quite nice. It leaves me wanting more, so it's clearly doing something right. Probably the issue of Rysis. She's so delightfully crazy that I can't help but want to learn more. Seriously, lady, you will provide us with character details before this fight is over! There's something you're not telling us. At the very least, you better survive to the second generation for our kid to learn more about you.

>>
So... Are we saving Rysis?
>>
>>24986297
Meh, why the heck not.
>>
>>24986421
because she's a crazy psychopath who will happily stab us in the back the moment we showed mercy to her? Also she will probably escape somehow. Crazy psychobitches never stay dead. Probably will end up an AI or something.
>>
>>24987805
She's gonna be a rival. Not necessarily a friend.
>>
Well, looks like Jake's gonna become a nuclear engineer and fix that reactor
