Your name is Jake Crocker and 25 years have passed since the Battle of Ambat. The Year is 140 A.G. and the Vagan continue to press forward in their invasion of Earth and the extermination of the Earth Race. You have grown over the years and produced a family. This story will be the New Generations, but your not completely out of the picture.

But what has happened in 25 years? What kind of family have you had? Well, let's see what we have so far:
>>
>>25070995
-You worked independently for a while, helping build Minsry, Zarth and Fairdain’s defense systems and improving their Home Defense Mobile Suits. You also secretly built a research lab where the Vagan Scientists and Doctors you imprisoned are able to research a solution to the Solar Wind Radiation Poisoning many people suffer from in the Vagan Colony.

-You settled down with Mellis and had two beautiful children, a boy named Dirk “James” Crocker and a girl named Scarlet “Jessie” Crocker.

-Thanks to Flit being Vice admiral he helped you climb up the ladder of the Federation Military and you are Captain of the Mass Production Diva Class Vessel “Camelot” with your private test team known as the “Knights of the Round” also called the “Witches Brew” a lot due to Mellis leading from time to time. Thanks to this additional modification you’ve gotten the Feds to accept in their new production are panoramic view screens and rail weaponry, A.I’s and shared computing target systems being discarded due to being too costly to maintenance and produce as well as a pain in the ass to use.

- You work on developing Anti X-Rounder tech as well as improving Psycommu and funnel/bit tech, making them smaller, easier to control and develop different types, even missile like funnels. You also develop a Pseudo-X Rounder system you call XCOM, wired all-range weaponry that function like poor X-Rounder bits. There pretty temperamental and a pain in the ass to use, but still available. You make Improvements in missiles, but struggle to make improvements in EM tech, but in the last year you've made considerable progress after capturing a Baqto. You also improve beam weapon tech, introducing multi-mode DODS Rifles with Energy Clips or E-Caps as they are referred too. Your attempting to re-introduce mobile armors, but you struggle to find a suitable design for mass production, though the Federation rather likes the idea of an MA.
(Cont)
>>
>>25071023
-You and your family is living on Zarth, which has now been re-industrialized. Minsry and Fairdain have been moved along with Zarth to a safer location within the Earth Sphere and maintain their own defense force.
-Your dad Jack is retired and living with his wife in their old home with Jack, Mellis and everyone. He works sometimes as the drill instructor but most of the time he lounges around at home, sleeping or

-They now have a kickass treehouse in your backyard like you promised, built in the trees you and Mellis planted all those years ago.

-Asemu lives across the street, Woolf and Millais ended up buying a house on Zarth instead due to cheaper real estate and the presence of Jake and his family (that and Asemu can’t stand being around Flit’s kid who bully him constantly). Woolf and Millais are almost constantly gone, meaning Asemu is ether off by himself or basically living with you most of time.

-Ma G has grown more human. She’s still somewhat blunt and personal feelings still escape her at times, but she does understand, love, hatred and other such emotions. She’s gotten into a…’relationship’ with CDACE who is more developed, but still rather clueless most of the time. Ma G has come to find MID quite adorable instead of distracting and has adopted the still developing A.I. who now acts as the family Haro.
>>
>>25071043
Your Son's name is James "Dirk" Crocker, who adores you but has the more practical nature of your wife and is rather embarrassed by his active participation in his life, like giving hot blooded at his parent teacher conferences. He's the calm, cool and friendly kid, who loses his shit whenever he feels like he's not in control. A tech wiz like his dad.

Your daughters name is Jessie "Scarlet" Crocker and she's a lot like her mother, very tsundere like her mother while possessing your immense love for roleplaying games and LARPing, holding games just about every other night and even having Uncle Desil run he campaigns from time to time.

Both hate their first names and go by their own, a decision that makes a lot of sense if you hadn’t given them the first names of You-Know-Who.

Your kids have played around with you and messed with their own designs to get an idea of what they want.

Your son is developing a adaptable Gundam, able to switch packs and weapons to improve performance and load-outs. Despite being an X-Rounder (A very powerful one at that apparently due to Mellis's messed up implants) he's stayed away from X-Rounder weaponry, due to his friend Asemu's unnatural dislike for X-Rounders.

Your daughter however is focusing on performance, using a transformable mobile suit with high speed, incredible maneuverability and immense firepower. Her suit has room for adaptability, but not nearly as much as your son's suit.

So, is there anything you’d like to suggest?
>>
>>25071059
Flit's kids bully Asemu? Poor kid. Well, at least he's got good parents, even if they aren't around as much as they'd like. I hope he doesn't grow up to resent them.

So I assume the implants' effect being inheritable was due to Mellis's altered X-Waves imprinting on Dirk's developing brain? That implies some interesting concepts for the future of X-Rounder technology.

As for the mobile suits are kids are developing, is that like some Crocker family rite of passage? Because I'm not entirely comfortable with Jake having his children be soldiers already. What happened to Flit and Jake should be an outlier, not the norm. Can we just say that engineering design is a family tradition, and creating your own working mobile suit is a sort of final exam Jake's giving his kids before he gives them more responsibility?
>>
>>25071176
Yes, Jake isn't trying to turn his kids into soldiers. Building their own mobile suits is the new "Rite of Passage" for the Crocker Family. Once the kids make theirs, or get their suits to work, then they'll have a lot more freedom and responsibility.

I'm leaving to turn in some Job applications, I'll be back in a little bit but please keep leaving suggestions and talking amongst yourselves, I'll read everything when I come back.
>>
>>25071023
How about the Val Varo for a mass-produced MA? It's fast, heavily armed, and heavily armored. Add in an EM-Field generator and it would be damn near perfect for a 2nd gen MA.
>>
>>25071333

I would think that they would have classes of MAs, such as 'Assault' types (i.e. Great Zeong) or 'Support' types (i.e. Big Rang)...
>>
>>25071445
We could go with our preference for modularity and make a base MA that can have additional equipment packs added to vary the role it serves. Something like how the Skygrasper in SEED could equip the Striker packs. Though obviously we'd have them be custom built rather than just taken off a mobile suit design. And we probably shouldn't give it a sword. That never worked well.
>>
>>25071445
True. I just picked the Val Varo because of its design and versatility. Some of the MAs used in Gundam are just plain ridiculous. Just look at the Adzam. Maybe later in 2nd gen we could introduce the Alpha Azieru as an X-Rounder MA and the Dandelion II or Inle as MA packs for mobile suits.
>>
>>25071544
Ooh, I had forgotten about the Advance of Zeta stuff. Those are some nice designs for modular mobile armors. I could definitely get behind a design based on the Woundwart. Lots of cool potential builds can be spun off from that.
>>
Ideally, MAs should be the 'tanks' to the MSs 'infantry'. After all, there is a reason the federation uses 'Combined Arms Doctrine', why not extend it to the Mobile Weapons?
>>
>>25071586
Yep. The Woundwart and S Gundams are practically made for that sort of thing.
>>
>>25071059
Maybe Jessie's MS could be based off of the Gaplant TR-5 Hrairoo. Fast, transformable, heavily armed and armored, and can be used almost anywhere at full capabilities. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/aoz/orx-005-hrairoo.htm
>>
>>25071333
The Federation is looking for something to work with it's new RGE-G1100 Adele, which is essentially a mass production Gundam. They want to keep the strain on production and the Federation budget as low as possible.

While as cool as a lot of your MA Concepts are, taken from your dreams and imagination the Federation would rather prefer a modular/adaptable MA then one with ridiculous firepower.

>>25071768

Including the Cowls you made for your Crusader and the wears Flit back for the AGE-1, including the Razor Wear he made a couple years back.

Your kids are imaginative, but the AGE Builder can only really work with what it’s got in terms of data. They may be your kids, but there not super engineers.

So, what could your kids make using the data they have and their imaginations?

Dirk's is adaptable while Scarlet's is fast, transformable and heavily armed.

Also, your children's refuse to be called Jessie and James, they will only answer to Dirk and Scarlet.
>>
>>25071971
Your kids can build stuff from no-data of course, but it's performance and structural stability will be in question without combat data and testing. So if it's based or developed off something that you have data on, it's less likely to fall apart or blow up in their faces.
>>
>>25071971
Hmm...What can we make with this data? I'm leaning towards the S Gundam or Woundwart Gundam system for Dirk. Based off of the AGE-1 modular system, Wears, and Crusader's Cowls. Centered around a central unit, the rest of the body can be swapped out for various situations, including a massive MA module based on the King Arthur still in the design stage. Gonna look through MS designs for a possible transforming unit for Scarlet.
>>
>>25072114

unicorn gundam for Scarlet?
>>
>>25072128
I'm looking for stuff like the Zeta, Double Zeta, Gaplant, Wing and Zero.
>>
>>25072234
It doesn't have to strictly based off anything already existing. You guys could pull something completely out of your ass if you wanted too, but using something as a base idea is fine. Man I wish we had some artists here. All I can do is recolor things and even then I'm not all that great at it.
>>
>>25072312
Well pull something out of your asses based on what you have available which is quite a lot. You can make just about anything.
>>
>>25071971
>Also, your children's refuse to be called Jessie and James, they will only answer to Dirk and Scarlet.
To which we point out that "Scarlet Crocker" is a dumb name, having the incidental side effect of making Scarlet absolutely CERTAIN that she's going to change her last name when she gets married. Honestly, why couldn't her dad have a cool family name, like Uncle Woolf does? What does it take to get a name as awesome as "Enneacle"?

>So, what could your kids make using the data they have and their imaginations?
Scarlet has a pretty close match to the Black Raven, having taken a liking to its thruster set up. In addition to the fuel feathers and high-powered thrusters, the Morrigan Gundam also mounts a set of Light Thrusters for enhanced control. The majority of flight is with the light thrusters, with bursts from the Raven Wings to do high-speed maneuvering. Weapons-wise it's designed for hit and run tactics, with an emphasis on armor piercing ability rather than raw power. Melee weapons are hybrid beam/solid katars, composed of a vibroblade mounted between two beam vulcan sabers. This allows them to function as a lighter, rapidfire version of the Excalibuster. It also carries two leg-mounted beam blades based on the DODS Knuckle the Brocka wear uses, allowing for devastating kicks. Ranged weaponry is an EM Crossbow on each hip, together with a variable DODS rifle/shotgun in each wing. It pays for this impressive speed and payload by greatly reducing the armor, relying mostly on evasion and blocking with the wing shields. Scarlet's been looking into installing a small EM Field Generator to protect the torso better, but can't quite lower the weight enough for it to be viable.

>continued with Dirk's design
>>
>>25072312
The Woundwart and S Gundam make a great base for an adaptable MS, since that's a fundamental part of their design. A transforming MS that is both fast and heavily armed is harder for me to picture without a base to work up from.

>>
>>25072459
>>25072535
S Gundam works pretty well for a concept of Dirk's Gundam, as for Scarlets I think Penelope works very well. Fast, well armed, transformable but skimpy on the armor.

>>25072369
Good Suggestions Anon, we'll factor those weapons in when it comes time. The Scarlet and Dirk's Gundam are going to start out weaponless, minus whatever fixed weaponry they have. Our kids aren't soldiers...yet anyway, the fates are funny like that.

I'm interested to get some artists to draw the AGE-X2 and AGE-X3 up once we've settled on a design.

What about paintjobs?
>>
>>25072369
>continued with Dirk's design
Dirk has instead taken the route of adaptability, basing his modular design off both the Crusader's cowl system and the AGE-1's detachable limbs. The resulting Odyssey Gundam can swap out parts as much as desired, though with the potential of killing its mobility from the sheer bulk. The name came from Dirk wanting to have a totally badass name for his mobile suit, but he has since built on the theme when designing the equipment packs. The Cyclops pack boasts increased sensors(most notable being the mono-eye faceplate attached to the head) and EWAC systems, and is armed with long-range bombardment weapons like heavy railguns and DODS canons. The Aeolus mounts wing binders for enhanced mobility and is designed around denying the enemy their more complex options. It possesses automated point defense guns to disable remote weaponry, goo and anti-beam chaff grenades to prevent effective attack, and impressive armor reinforced with an EM Field Generator. It's not very well armed, though, being focused around a support role. Finally, the Scylla pack is the close-range heavy assault variant. It mounts four sub-arms to the Odyssey(two at the shoulders, two at the hips), controlled using Dirk's X-Rounder abilities to increase multitasking. To arm these appendages, it includes a weapons binder holding two Excalibusters and four hybrid shield/grenade launchers, allowing ridiculously high short range attack and defense.

All of these packs are in themselves fairly modular, allowing for mixing and matching of features from different wears. In theory, the Odyssey could even mount all three packs at once, though it would be pretty slow in doing so. Dirk honestly may have gone too ambitious in making the ultimate modular suit. Only time and battlefield testing will prove its worth.
>>
>>25072801
Once again Anon, excellent suggestions. Names and paint jobs are also appreciated.
>>
>>25072968
Alright so we have concepts down and an idea of what the suits are like in terms of strengths and weaknesses.

Now we need
Names for the suits:
Paints Jobs:
And an idea of what there appearances are:
>>
Small suggestion:
Dirk is more lazy and apathetic than his younger sister, and isn't an experienced pilot. However, his engineering and computer skills are through the roof.
Scarlet, however, is a friendly yet determined and ambitious Federation Ace since she was 14, but she's horrible at engineering and repairing her stuff.

Scarlet's suit: Red and Black details, like her mother's Sleek and curvaceous, looking more like a race unit than a combat unit.
Dirk's suit: White and Orange details, a bit more bulky due to all the secret gadgets he's hiding inside it. And for Jack's sake, his idol.
>>
>>25073470
I think it's been agreed on that neither of Jake's kids are part of the Federation or are actual soldiers yet. Not to say they wouldn't have been taught or learned piloting.

I like the idea of Scarlet being more action oriented, ambitious and charismatic then her brother who likes to goof off and build things when he's not sleeping on the couch watching anime.
>>
>>25073570
Makes for different characters and different 'play styles' so to speak. That way when you switch between there will be benefits and disadvantages to both characters.

Dirks' MS: Merlin Gundam
Like the legendary wizard, the Merlin has plenty of tricks up it's sleeves (and shoulders, and legs, and, well you get the idea). It has mounting and power connection points all over the MS, allowing mounting of anything from extra boosters, funnel packs, a MA module, to his secret (and highly experimental) weapons: a MA-scale Photon Cannon and a collapsible anti-ship/anti-colony Hyper-velocity Launcher. Frame mounted weapons are beam vulcans in the head. Arm-mounted weapons are modular as well, allowing for a Vagan beam vulcan saber, a 90mm tribarrel cannon, or a 2--tube missile launcher. Extra mounting points in the knees can hold heavy beam emitters.
>>
>>25073570
Well, she's not a Federation pilot yet, but her performance when piloting one is on par with Woolf and Jack from their early years.
She's a piloting prodigy, and has been been offered multiple contracts to either join the Feds or become a racer like Woolf.

As for the names.
Scarlet's suit is called Magellan - despite all her ambition and everything, she's a daydreamer who'd like nothing more than to explore space.
Dirk's suit... No idea. I'd drop something like Hermes or Loki, due to them being tricksters like he is.

On a side note: Can we switch the names around? Dirk "James" Crocker and Scarlet "Jessie" Crocker.
The other kids at school try to make fun of them for being close, and once calling their science team "Team Rocket".
In the meantime, they stopped paying attention, but the nicknames stuck.
>>
>>25073758
I don't know. Jake is the kind of guy who may have just named his kids Jessie and James....

>>25073655
Excellent. Very good job! Now how about Scarlets suit?
>>
>>25073816
You're assuming Mellis and her uncle and aunt would allow him.
>>
>>25073358
Dirk's is a dark blue suit called Abyss Gundam due to it's color scheme and his propensity to attack from underneath his enemies. For appearance it has several sloped surfaces (Fins basically) on its legs and back to increase the speed at which it can move and turn. Once of the two arms of the Gundam holds a Lance that can extend with beams, or fire like a rilfe. The other arm has what is essentially the Pincer Blades from MGR.

Scarlet's Gundam is called the Crimson King because she one day found an ancient music player and it just clicked. The appearance of it is similar to the Crusader Gundam wearing the Full Titus Cowl, except with a noticeable difference of being red and larger due to it being a cape more than a cowl. Underneath the cowl are ports for the wired bits that can be used to create a 'crimson hood' that is essentially an upgraded version of the laser used in the beam tackle.
>>
>>25073834
Huh, you have a point there. OK
Dirk "James" Crocker and Scarlet "Jessie" Crocker it is then. The MS Club is nicknamed Team Rocket.

>>25073758
That seems reasonable. Highly skilled with a natural affinity for mobile suit piloting.

Nah, they're going by Dirk and Scarlet.

We could make the AIs in their suits called Jessie and James.

Scarlet's MS: Gawain Gundam
Hard-hitting and fast, Scarlet learned a lot from her mother and 'Aunt' Rysis. High-powered hybrid thrusters are mounted on shoulders and legs of the Gawain to increase speed and maneuverability. The Gawain is fast enough that Scarlet must wear a specially developed G-suit to handle the strain the Gawain puts on her body. A prototype anti-funnel system is mounted in the torso. The system projects a field around the MS that interferes with communications and sensor equipment. While it can't yet disable funnels, it can reduce their performance when within 2 km of the Gawain. Mounted weapons include a railgun mounted in the overhanging 'head' comparable to the bullpup EM rifle in power, but cannot be reloaded in combat. Diffuse 'sand barrel' beam cannons are mounted on the shoulders. They are designed to deal with missiles and funnels, lacking the power to punch through EM Armor. Primary weapons are multi-function shields mounted on the forearms. They can function as beam sabers or heavy DODS Rifles. An experimental beam shield is also mounted within the shields. The beam shields produce a short-lived rectangular beam field strong enough to stop MS-grade weapons, both beam and kinetic. Power consumption and the risk the beam shields pose to the Gawain leave them as a last resort for the moment.
>>
>>25074061
No, they got the names as a teasing joke from Flit's kids. All said in good fun, but Akito and Yurika still use it to get on their nerves every so often. Secretly, Dirk and Scarlet actually think it's kind of funny, but really wish the Asuno twins would stop using it quite so often. It's worn out its welcome.
>>
>>25074182
Seconded. Flit's kids are kinda jerks, aren't they?
>>
>>25074061
No. They were nicknames given to them by their classmates. They prefer going by Scarlet and Dirk.

>>25074182

Alright, overall concept seems nice. Don't want to go too overboard on the tech, but the name and overall design is acceptable. However Rysis still wants to kill Jake and also has it out for his kids. She comes over at Christmas time to give a fucking Fruitcake and eat all the good food. So she's a rather 'distant' Aunt who Mellis and Jake want to avoid.

I actually removed some of the more...extreme weapons and equipment. I replaced the original shield-mounted Mega Particle Cannons with experimental (and dangerous) beam shields. Jake and Dirk aren't likely to make them any more than a last resort for quite a while. I also modified the original Minovsky Barrier system, though we should pull that out until late 2nd gen/early 3rd gen. And as much as I like the Minovsky Drive System, we won't have anything like that for a while. Need to study CD more to get anything close to it. Had to pull the psyco-frame too. It's still a little over-the-top, but doable with current tech. Not much to stop a shot except anti-beam coating and the small shields, though.

Scarlet probably goes a crimson paint job with gold highlights. Because it's dramatic as all fuck.

Dirk goes for a blue/black pattern design, with small bits of light on it to make it not appear as a silhouette in a similar way to CADPAT or other camo patterns to make him slightly harder to see.

Its hard not to go over-the-top in a giant robot series. But I'll try to save the ridiculous stuff for late gen 2/early gen 3. The Vagan get rather extreme by then (Legilis) so we can too.

And he does have X-Rounder powers, so he's ready to avoid most of the shit thrown at him.

Scarlet gets a boost in Engineering - she should be able to repair her own suit, at least.

>>
>>25074712
I'm looking forward to the gen 3 stuff, myself. Seriously, if we can salvage even one or two systems from gen 3 Vagan suits we'll have some pretty crazy tech. For example, the Fawn Farsia's baton is an extremely versatile weapon that would be awesome to have. It's a beam rifle, an X-transmitter, and a variable beam manipulator all in one. It would be awesome to put on our equivalent of the AGE-FX. Hell, maybe we'll beat them to it.
>>
Crosswire already picked what skills he thought were suitable for the Gen 2 protagonists, stop trying to min max and get on with the plot.

Anyway, idea for Scarlet - instead of making her a full Tsundere, we make her out to be more like Toph.
Because Toph is fucking awesome.

If I remember correctly (and I probably don't) Toph is very self-confident, stubborn, straightforward, and aggressive.

A tsundere hits you because she's unwilling to acknowledge she likes you. Toph, on the other hand, hits people to show that she likes them. She's very blunt, very physical, and more than a bit sarcastic. She's fond of making jokes about her own blindness for example. Obviously, we'd do something different with Scarlet.

I don't think we hammered down how Jake styles his facial hair at this point.

I'm thinking Mellis lets him grow out the beard and braid it so she has something to grab onto and lead him around by, but the mustache stays trimmed so it doesn't get in the way of anything.

Mellis and Jake are probably one of those obnoxiously affectionate and loving parents who spend half their time together lightly flirting, hugging, cuddling, and kissing, mostly for its own sake, partially to embarrass their kids.

Your name is Scarlet Crocker, the 17 (almost 18) year old daughter of Jake Crocker the legendary pilot and captain of the EFF Camelot. You live in your Dad’s childhood home on Zarth. You enjoy RPG's, mobile suits and kicking ass.

Daylight shines through your window as a new day begins. It’s a beautiful Saturday morning and it’s your best friend (or rather Dirk’s best friend, whatever) Asemu’s birthday today! And….you TOTALLY FORGOT. You blame your brother for not reminding you, he’s probably got something lame planned, last year he baked Asemu a cake for his birthday. Cakes are nice, but getting another cake as a present kind of defeats the point of a birthday cake. Your

You get up and climb out of bed, throwing on a red t-shirt and jeans and begin your morning stretches to wake yourself up. It’s pretty damn early 6:30 AM. You really need to work on finding Asemu a present, but you can’t find your wallet. It’s somewhere in your room probably, maybe you left it in Dirk’s room.

What will you do Scarlet?

A: Search your room, probably mixed it in with your game books or something
B: Search Dirk’s room, probably dropped it when you were kicking his ass at MS Simulator 350
C: Just go down stairs and raid the fridge, you’re hungry

You check your pants pockets and then the pockets of the pants in your laundry hamper. No, nothing.

Looking under your bed all you see is your various cosplay supplements, plastic/foam swords, salvaged MS pilot helmets, some old board games you keep around in case you get REALLY bored and oh, your cellphone. You take it out from under the bed and look it over.

It's based off Dad's old one, only with a more smart-phone like design. You slip it into your pocket and look through your closet, finding nothing but your usual cosplay outfits and the dresses you don't wear to anything but funerals and 'fancy' parties.

Your bookshelf yields nothing but the couple hundred core rule books you have for the various games you play. Mazes and Monsters Classic Edition included, you prefer 4th Edition to 3.5 however, there shouldn't a rule for EVERYTHING that's what roleplay is for.

You try not to get distracted and root through your desk, taking out your laptop to screw around on 3Sama later on but once again fail to find you wallet.

>>25075682
>>25075658
>>25075721
You consider the fact that MID might have it, but you have no goddamn idea where he would be first thing in the morning. You decide to bug the shit out of Dirk instead, leaving your room and barging into his, finding him fast asleep in his bed.

You look around his room, wondering where to search...

A: Search the floor,
B: Search the Desk then the Closet
C: Check that pile of junk on the floor and then the DVD Shelf

Search the desk and then the closet.
Be careful where you stand, though, the floor is littered with electronics, machines and tools.

On a side note, we apparently don't have any normal clothing. Weird, I thought Scarlet was the Queen of her school?
>>
>>25076078
A: Search the floor,

Huh. Maybe.
Still, I thought that they shared Jake's embarrassment of being former LARPers. Maybe that's just Dirk.
>>
>>25076078
D. Perform an elbow drop on Dirk's lazy ass and get him to help you look for your wallet.
>>
>>25076522
From what I understood they both enjoy it, but only Dirk is embarrassed about what his dad does.
>>
>>25076522
Jake isn't ashamed of larping. He's ashamed of the poor quality of his old costumes. What was he thinking when he made those?
>>

(Just Dirk, Scarlet loves it)

>>25076124
>>25076153

Avoiding littered componants, discarded pizza/donut boxes and after nearly stepping on several spare game controllers you reach and search Dirk's closet first. There's a surprising amount of Old Video Games, about a couple hundred 1 dollar copies of "The Zybourne clock" and a LOT of hentai. You remember to break out the brain bleach later as you root through his desk. No wallet, but you did find a lot of notes regarding something called the RGE-X1100. Dirk doesn't write anything down unless he needs to remember it later, or it's something he's working on.

>>25076196
You look around on the floor, but there's so much crap scattered about it takes you a good ten minutes to realize it's not there. You do find ten credits you decide to keep though, after having to see your brother's porno cache you deserve it.

>>25076257
You check your brother's DVD case and right next to his platinum collection of Evangelion is your wallet.

You go back and decide to take a closer look at Dirk's workbench. Upon further investigation you find a lot of notes regarding parts for the RGE-X1100. Whatever it is, Dirk's been working on repairing it for a while.

He then proceeded to get all the impressionable young minds he had access to hooked on it. So he can't be that embarrassed by it. Again, he could just store that on his computer. No, if he's got nasty covers, it's entirely about creeping people out. It's like making a folder on your desktop labeled "PORN" and filling it with nothing but pictures of flesh wounds. The only purpose it serves is disturbing people who go snooping.

You manage to figure out that the RGE-X1100 is a Prototype Adele. From the pictures you realize a weird group was testing them for a while before disappearing. Dad didn't even know about it. Only a couple months later did you learn about the development of the Adele.

It's hard to believe that they'd just leave one behind, but considering the massive amount of parts Dirk has been salvaging and crafting at night, you wouldn't be surprised if it had been totaled. A small crudely drawn map leading to the "Forest Preserve" area seems to show it's location, you think.

Is this what Dirk had planned for Asemu's birthday? That'd explain the birthday-birthday cake last year.

What do you wish to do Scarlet?

You really want to one up your brother, but your not sure how. You only have 8 hours and 110 credits to your name. Dad wouldn't be to happy if you used MID to print money, again. So your going to have to get clever.

>>25076939
Or you could work with your brother. Dirk's not really an egotist or anything, he's more concerned about getting Asemu a good 18th birthday present then one-uping you.

So, any ideas?
>>
>>25077058
A well done (not medium rare) tsundere is way more fun. As long as she doesn't go all denial until the last episode.

What is personal preference?
>>
>>25077058
There are other options to consider other than Asemu, though. That hunky Zeheart guy just moved in to town, and he sure is nice. Something about him just feels really familiar, like someone you've known your whole life. Or at least he gives off that same vibe. Maybe we should ask Uncle Desil for advice.
>>

Also, she dyes her hair red. She's got black hair naturally.

Confrontations don't always end up violent, ya know? Scarlet just wants in on the plan. Not much cooler than a Mobile Suit for a birthday present.

I suggest working with Dirk to make some sort of goggles that have several useful functions in them. The money could be used the required components.

>>25077141
Zeheart is less 'hunky' and more 'really god damn weird'. Seriously, who has natural white hair? I mean Uncle Flit has Blue hair and so does Akito, but that's beside the point. Uncle Desil is out of town, working on another mission. He won't be back for another week. Dad won't be back for two whole weeks.

You decide to suck it up and admit defeat but your going to press Dirk for a favor. You shake Dirk and he just groans and rolls over. For a couple of minutes your tempted to punch him in the kidney to get him out of bed but shaking eventually gets him up.

Yeah but he's Uncle Woolf. His hair moves around like ears from time to time (completely canon I swear) you wouldn't be surprised if he was genetically engineered that way that or he's just that awesome. Still, good point. There's just something unsettling about Zeheart. Dirk and Asemu seem to get along fine with him, but they are pretty clueless at times. Maybe he's just a very healthy Albino, maybe that would explain his obsession with red...

>>25077379
Dirk groans and flops back onto his bed. "It was supposed to be a surprise"

"Fess up, what have you been working on?"

"I was screwing around in the forest preserve, the one on the far end of the colony. I found a wrecked mobile suit and I've been fixing it up in my spare time for about a year. It's a Prototype, or rather a pre-prototype that was being developed and test by some special task force"

"Taskforce?"

"Yeah, from the markings I think they're called Leviathan. There definitely Federation but I couldn't find anything on them, even Dad had no clue what I was talking about. Regardless they left the suit because it took some nasty fall damage. I've fixed it up in time for Asemu's birthday, it should work just fine...now why what do you want with it and what will I get for helping you?" Dirk raises and eyebrow and waits for your response.

"You're blackmailing your little sister? What kind of big brother are you? You were supposed to love and care for me, you ass!"

"How about you make something else for it? There aren't any weapons left on it right? Why not some king of electrified whip/grappling hook-whip thing?" You suggest with a smile.

Dirk rubs his eyes, looking like he REALLY wants to go back to bed. "Here's 20 Credits. Get me all the junkfood you can and bring it back to the party stuff. I'll get to work on the whip/thing" He says getting out of bed.

Well, it's 6:45 and you have about 6 to 8 hours to get ready for the party. Your supposed to get party stuff and set everything up in the backyard while Dirk makes the Electro-whip.

So, what is your plan of Action Scarlet?
>>
>>25077952
Dammit who told the kids that story?

Head downstairs grab some food and get to the store.
>>
>>25077952
Eat breakfast first. Do Jake's kids like pancakes the way he does?
>>
>>25077952

acquire transportation suitable for carrying the goods.
go into town.
purchase party stuffs.
avoid the obvious conflict situation awaiting for us
return with goods.
set up party.
check on Dirk & the electro-whip.
Profit.
>>
>>25077952
-Get breakfast
-brush hair (not going outside with bedhead)
-put on shoes
-go to store
-Get some candy and red bull for Dirk
>>
>>25077952
Grab something to eat, get dressed properly, comb your hair, give the best mom in the world a huge hug, and find a transport that'd help you carry all that stuff.
>>
>>25078010
Given how many pancake days he's probably subjected them to over the years they've probably had enough pancakes for several lifetimes, they ought to prefer waffles and hashbrowns.
>>
>>25078146
>waffles

I have no daughter.
>>
>>25078010
>>25078146
Obviously Scarlet watches her figure and skips the most important meal of the day.
>>
>>25078146
Waffles? How about some eggs and toast or biscuits and gravy?
>>
>>25078181
Breakfast at the crocker house has become quite tense after Scarlet started eating waffles instead of pancakes. Dirk still eats pancakes, but fancier ones with a good amount of hash browns and sausage.
>>
>>25078214
Actually girls who do that are more likely to end up fat.
>>
>>25078214
Nah. She eats heartily and burns through the food with her daily activities.
>>
>>25078146
Yes. They prefer savory breakfast food. We will replace our pancake obsession with an eggs benedict obsession.
>>
>>25078214
Nah, she's athletic as fuck, swims a lot and can hold her own in a brawl.

She seems like the sort who will eat huge meals throughout the day and not gain a single pound partially due to metabolism, partially due to working out a lot.

She's fit as hell, Dirk is a bit scrawny, Scarlet has abs and muscle. And an ass you could bounce a quarter off of.
>>
>>25078146
(Took the words right out of my mouth Anon)

You head down stairs and raid the fridge, your not much of a cook so you stick to warming up some of the left over pizza from last night. You munch on it and drink some root beer with it.

>>25078025
>>25078071
You go to the spare bathroom, brush your hair and teeth and throw on some sneakers and a jacket. You'd give mom a hug but she's gone with Dad. Grandma and Grandpa are fast asleep, don't want to wake them up.

You hop on your Moped (it was ether that or a Segway, damn Dad...) and head to the nearest grocery store. You park and enter the store, thankful for it's early open hours.

You have 130 credits (130 dollars basically) and plenty of time to pick stuff out. It's going to be a small party. So what do you plan to get Scarlet?
>>
>>25078290
Soda, chips, space-twinkies, and some sort of meat products.
>>
>>25078290
A large tarp so we can cover the Proto-Adele until it's time to show it. Not that you can really hide that a guy's present is a giant robot, but it's still important for purposes of presentation.
>>
>>25078290
Burgers. We have a grill, right?

Buy one set of... veggie burgers. Give one to Zeheart later on.
>>
>>25078290
Cheap vodka (if we can get it) because come on. We're 17. We're supposed to be experimenting with alcohol behind our parents' back.
Although Jake will probably just give us some booze anyway.
>"don't tell your mother".

We need chips and junk food and burgers.
>>
>>25078290
We'll raid the liquor cabinet for booze when we get back. Or just pick up some cheapo stuff with our fake ID, because we totally have one. Or both.

For now get soda, chips and dip, cookies, candy, some meats to cook up like hamburgers and hotdogs, some coleslaw.

>>25078333
The Crocker family workshop probably has more tarps than we know what to do with.
>>
>>25078290
Some soda, chips, fries, burgers or some meat to grill, some beer, chips, maybe some salad, some sweets.
And junk food for Dirk, the greatest bro in the world.

>>25078333
Why don't we do a dynamic entry? Scarlet is a pro pilot already, she can land that thing in the middle of the party.
>>
>>25078409
Man, that's not fair. Let a guy be the first to pilot his own mecha.
>>
>>25078444
Yeah, you have a point. So, to the Crocker workshop for some tarp it is.
>>
>>25078479
>>25078444
You're very sure you have big enough tarps to hid it with.

>>25078409
There is plenty of good alcohol back at the house, for now you pick up soda, chips, fries, burgers or some meat to grill, some beer, chips, some sweets and junk food for Dirk and a crap load of slim-jims and snack cakes for Dirk.

You waste about 60 credits but return home feeling that you've saved yourself from completely forgetting about Asemu's B-Day. You drop off the junk food to the hard working Dirk and set up the crap outside. Plates, napkins, silverware, tables, est.

It's a nice set up and you manage to do it in an hour. Dirk finishes the Electro-Whip and gets ready to get the Adele.

"Listen, do you think you could invite Asemu over? Keep him busy for a couple of minutes while I bring the Adele here and put it under the tarp."

Well Scarlet?
>>
>>25078687
Give him a brofist.

"I could keep him distracted for hours dumbface, have some confidence in your amazing sister."
>>
>>25078687
"Sure thing, bro. You know how he's powerless to my charm."

Because I can see Scarlet being the type to have flirted with Asemu for a while, just with neither of them quite having the guts to actually initiate anything.
>>
>>25078744
This.

>>25078748
Yeah, she's most likely been doing it to mess around with him.

Man.. Asemu must be a wreck. The twins joking and teasing, Scarlet's messing with him, Dirk is probably the only one who doesn't bug the poor kid and treats him normally in his age group.

Nah, it's affectionate on Scarlet's part. Asemu's a cool guy. She's trying to help him through any awkwardness. It certainly isn't because she's in fact completely sincere and is just waiting for him to finally make his move. Seriously, Enneacle, how many hints does a girl have to drop?

>>
>>25079011
Scarlet is mostly playful and tries her best not to cross the line. And besides, he likes messing around with the Crockers.

I had an idea that Emily once saved Jake's life and that he's now caring about Asemu like would for his own son.
So Dirk has a collapsible two-story bed in his room where he and Asemu had sleepovers when they were younger. And since Jake isn't going to let that kid be alone, Asemu can come over and crash with Dirk whenever he feels like it. Which is most of the time.
>>
>>25079129
Act as if we had no idea it was his birthday, to help preserve the surprise. Which should be easy, considering that we did forget until a couple hours ago.

"I could keep him distracted for hours dumbface, have some confidence in your amazing sister."

"My amazing sister who can't remember a single important date on the calendar" Dirk says, biting into a chocolate donut.

You punch him in the shoulder and roll your eyes before walking over to Asuno's house, which is just across the street from yours.

How do you want to approach this Scarlet? Knock on the door and then what?

"You. Me. Ultimate Soldier Mekton. You have five minutes to prepare your body for its punishment."

And then watch as it turns out Woolf and Millais made it home ahead of schedule to surprise their son on his birthday, resulting in them giving us very odd looks. They really should be used to this by now. Maybe that says something about their needing to spend time with their son more, if they don't know this is a common occurrence.
>>
>>25079183
"Hey, Asemu, I know you're up. Wanna go for a walk to the mall or something? I'd ask Dirk but he's still asleep."
>>
>>25079183
Knocking? Knocking is for other people. We do not knock.

We casually open the door, stroll on in and call out to him, loudly.

"Asemu Enneacle!

I, Scarlet Crocker, progeny of the Black Devil and the Scarlet Witch, the 'Red Nightmare', has arrived. I have come for you Asemu, I CHALLENGE YOU to HONORABLE MOBILE SUIT COMBAT!

Wilst thou comest willingly or must I drag thee to the field of battle?!"
>>
>>25079338
Oh gods.. red nightmare. Now I am picturing Drik's nickname being 'Blue DayDreamer', what with him being the inventor brother who went three days without a shower to work on the 'gift'.
>>
>>25079494
Nah, he doesn't have a nick, he's too cool for that.
(That, and he'd personally kill anyone who reminds him of his LARPing days as the Ebon Dragon).

I can't see Dirk picking up any nicknames like that, or at least none that he was willing to respond to.

Also, Blue Daydreamer is a terrible name.

There is silence for a few moments before Asemu opens the door, rubbing his eyes.

"Yes Scarlet, I want to play video games with you." Asemu scratches his head, used to your antics, but amused none the less.

You go inside and sit down in his living room, booting up the 350 and sitting down with a controller. The house is quiet, dark and rather lonely. Asemu's parents are gone most of the time, with the war against the Vagan getting worse and worse, they get to see a lot less of their son.

Outside of the MS Club and School, Asemu rarely leaves the house save for exercise and the occasional invite over to your house.

Asemu is a nice guy, but there's always been this cloud hanging over his head, like there was something eating away at him that he refused to talk about no matter how much you bugged him about it.

He seems fine now, a little sad that his parents aren't there for his birthday but not mopy or anything. You play a even matched set of MS Simulator with him.

Anything you'd like to say, do or investigate while your here?
>>
>>25079686
Check out his porn collection like any good friend would do. Then comment on his tastes.
>>
>>25079686
"Aw, man, you're getting better at this, I almost had to get serious with you."
"Anyway, you should hide your porn better, it's kind of distracting."

Check his pantry and fridge while we're here, see what he's been eating lately, we might need to bug him about eating properly if he's been living off of ramen.

See what hobbies he's been into lately and if he's been doing anything interesting. Scold him kindly about not going outside enough.

Pull him into one hell of a bear hug, because we can, and we ought to make him feel cared for.

Bother him by looking through his room and computer for porn, decide whether he has good taste or not and compliment him, casually remark on which girls are pretty as we sift through it.
>>
>>25079686
So Asemu would be turning 17 if this is 140AG.

Does he have a mobile suit besides the one we're about to give him?
>>
>>25079901
Probably not. He's not Flit's kid so he wouldn't get the AGE-2. We could likely make something better later, but him getting a MS is likely going to be the best thing ever for him.
>>
>>25079901
I guess he's 18-19 like Dirk and Zeheart. This is probably before their graduation ceremony.
He probably doesn't have a suit, if Woolf didn't provide one for him.
>>
>>25079974
I can see Woolf wanting to get him one, a racing type Shalldoll like he himself earned his reputation with, but Millais not wanting her boy to take too many risks.
>>
>>25079901
(In this timeline he was born earlier)
>>25079800
Pantry and fridge are well stocked, but it's obvious Asemu is eating fairly well. You check around and find some MS models he's been painting up. He has a lot of G-Exes, oh the love of a son. You check his computer and room for porn, but fine none. He's not that kind of kid.

"You really should get outside more" You said in a scolding tone.

"I've been tired lately. I don't feel like going outside all the time." He says with a shrug, avoiding your question.

"Oh don't be such a grump." You say sitting down and hugging him.

"Well your unusually nice today...OK what's going on?" Asemu asks, not suspicious.
>>
>>25080048
"I've decided to give you an early birthday gift. You may ask one question and get a completely truthful answer."

Because why not?
>>
>>25080048
"I can't bother Dirk today, so I'm bothering you."
>>
>>25080048

Pout. Lean in. "This is all your fault."

Call him utterly clueless if he doesn't get it.
>>
>>25080048
"I'm hurt. Can't even give you a hug without you getting suspicious of me.

Also Dirk isn't any fun today, so I'm bothering your mopey butt."
>>
>>25080048
Then how is he turning today?

"What do you mean 'unusually'? I'm always nice."
>>
>>25080154
how old is he turning*
>>
>>25080048
"A girl can't want to check up on her friend? I care about you, you dope. Lately I've mostly just seen you at school. You haven't come over to visit in a while. I...I miss that. So I figured that I'd come to you."
>>
>>25080168
Eesh, let's not go sappy here. Scarlet isn't the inheritor of that. Got to agree with the 'can't bug Dirk so I'm gonna bug you plan' Seems to fit her mindset better in my opinion.
>>
>>25080154
(18 Years old)
>>25080145
>"I'm hurt. Can't even give you a hug without you getting suspicious of me. Also Dirk isn't any fun today, so I'm bothering your mopey butt."

"Last time you gave me a hug you slipped a goo bomb into my back pocket. That was my favorite pair of pants Scarlet"

"Well they looked tacky." You state with an eye-roll.

"Oh and happy birthday!"

"Holy crap you remembered?"

"Yeah! Of course, I'd never forget..." You say with a somewhat awkward smile.

"Well thanks." He says, returning the smile.

Dirk should have everyone gathered in the back yard. How do you want to take Asemu to the party? Want to tell him about it or keep it a secret?
>>
>>25080434
"So, you want to go bug Dirk with me? He's been hiding some project of his from me and wouldn't say what. But I figure if both his sister and his best friend ask, he might be willing to spill."
>>
>>25080434
Keep it a secret. Have him wear a blind fold or something.
>>
>>25080434
Keep it a secret.
"So, anyway, wanna go bug Dirk with me? We could grab something to eat while we're at it."
>>
>>25080460

"Sure, why not? I haven't talked to Dirk in at least a week..."

You lead him out of the door and across the street, into the backyard and into the party.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yells, the lights coming on revealing the Proto-Adele.

Asemu's face lights up like a christmas tree.

"Happy Birthday Asemu. Sorry I couldn't get you something bigger..." You say with a chuckle.

(And I have to hit the hay for the night guys. Gonna archive. How are things going so far with Scarlet?)
>>

Dammit I missed it, Also can you give us a large listing of all the skills we can possibly gain and what not? You know just for a possibility of potential ideas for character building.
