>As always, you could check Einstein's data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

Your name is Heather Leery, and you're currently standing in an abandoned bedroom, A blind, exhausted Damien at one side, and the rabbit-shape Devourer on the other. You couldn't see colors right now, your vision black and white.

In the bathroom, having squeaked loudly, snatched clothes from your arms, and darted in there, was Rho 187. One of the nonpsionic clones, saved through time travel. She apparently still had superhuman reflexes, according to the speed at which she'd ran in there.
"Good thing I left that door open." Damien said, and his head bobbed. "I'm not sure I can... help much. I've been up for forty hours. I hafta get some sleep."
And then he crashed, laying down on the bed. Almost before you realized it, he was asleep.
<I am fine.> Devourer said, curling up. <Though rest will help me recover my strength.>

In the bathroom, Rho had finished dressing, but now she was just sitting in there, frozen, hands in her lap. Her eyes were wide, and she kept looking at the door, as if she thought someone would kick it open at any time.
>>
>>25092247
Go gently knock on the door.
"Rho? You can come out. It's safe here. Armatek can't get you here."
>>
>>25092247
"I've... got a lot of explaining to do, and not a lot of time to do it.
>>
>>25092247
well I guess it's' time to bring this new rho up to speed
>>
>>25092247

>last thread it was Rho 748.

call out through the door

"We're not going to hurt you, may I come in?"
>>
>>25092247
"Rho?...you're safe here. If you want to talk...I'm just here."
>>
>>25092247
"Are you doing okay? I kind of have a lot to explain, and the faster the better, so we can talk through the door if you feel more comfortable that way."
>>
>>25092316
>748, right, whoops.

You make your way to the door, and gently knock on it.
"Rho? You're safe here. If you want to talk... I'm just here."
Silence.
"May I come in?"

"W-where is everyone?" Rho asked, almost too quietly for you to hear.
>>
>>25092353
"You mean all the other Rho's? Um...that's probably not the best thing to start with."
>>
>>25092353
<Devi, can you turn into a puppy? It might ease her a bit.>
>>
>>25092353
"Armatek got rid of them. It's a bit of a long story. It happened two years ago, and a lot has happened since then. <Robin's number> misses you."
>>
>>25092353

"I know you must be very confused right now, it will take time to explain, please, will you trust me?"
>>
>>25092353
"Most of them are long gone. Only 124 is still alive...and you. But you've missed a lot - over two years, in fact."
>>
>>25092397
Wouldn't "black black black" be better here?
>>
>>25092353
"Your friend who wears black black black developed powers so Armatek decided they didn't need the rest of you any more."
>>
>>25092439
Yeah
>>
>Fun fact- The clones weren't limited to how many bands they could wear. Robin wore black bands all the way up to her shoulder. Because she thought it was cool.

<Devi, can you turn into a puppy? It might ease her a bit.>
<They've never seen animals with their own eyes, I believe, but if you say so...> Devourer said, and swelled into a soft brown puppy, eyes alien and catlike. He blinked, and focused, and then they were bright blue, normal.

"I know you must be very confused right now." You say. "It will take time to explain. Most of them are long gone. You've missed a lot - over two years, in fact. Only 124 is still alive... And you."

There was another pause, and she bit her lip.
"She's okay?" She asked, this one too quietly to hear- but Devourer's hearing was much better, and he relayed it to you.
>>
>>25092353
"To be honest, that's a long story.

Tell you what, come out, talk to me, and I'll try to explain as best I can."
>>
>>25092466
"Y-yeah. I can get her, if you want."
>>
>>25092466
"Yes. She was the one who developed the ability they were looking for, which is why she's alright. We managed to save you as well, using similar abilities."
>>
>>25092466
"Physically... yeah. But losing all of you suddenly was hard. She's gotten better, but..."
>>
>>25092466
"Yes. She's still alive, and she's thought you dead for two years as well. I was hoping to bring you up to speed before you meet her, to save both of you some grief."
>>
>>25092466
"She's okay, yeah. Those are her clothes you're wearing. It's been a hard two years for her, but she's doing better."
>>
>>25092466

"she's been through a lot, emotionally, but she *is* alive. It's been a long 2 years."
>>
"Y-yeah." You say. "Those are her clothes you're wearing. To be honest, that's a long story. It's been a long 2 years. Tell you what. Come out, talk to me, and I'll try to explain as best I can."
She was quiet.
"I feel better in here." She said.
"It's been a hard two years for her, but she's doing better. She was the one who developed the ability they were looking for, which is why she's alright." You say. "We managed to save you as well, using similar abilities."
"A-ability?" She asked. "What do you mean?"
>>
>>25092577
"Um, that's why there were so many of you. You can all do this, uh, thing. You can teleport, basically."
>>
>>25092595
They can't all do it, the point of mass producing clones was so that there would be a vague chance that one of them could do it.
>>
>>25092577
"Alright, let's start at the beginning. First off, what is the last thing you remember? And what did you know about your life before this?"
>>
>>25092577
"Psionics. It sounds a bit crazy, but there are some of us, her included, that can affect the world in amazing ways with just our thoughts. I'll show you one of my abilities, alright?"
Slowly pick up something small in the bathroom with TK.
"Her main ability is to teleport, but she can also sense where people are, and I'm a bit concerned that she might notice you here, show up, and startle you."
>>
>>25092577
"She's psionic - she can do impossible things with her mind. In her case, she can teleport. You may or may not be - ArmaTek waited for one of you to show the ability, then...decided they only needed one."
>>
>>25092577

"some people have abilities, we call them psionics, it was the main reason ArmaTek kept so many of... you like they did, they wanted to get their hands on these powers no matter what."
>>
>>25092577
"Um, that's what the experiment was. Armatek found somebody with... basically magic powers, so they used his genes to make loads of clones in the hope of getting more people like that. When one of the clones got a power they disposed of the rest of the batch."
>>
"Some people have abilities." You say. "She's psionic- she can do impossible things with her mind. In her case, her main ability is to teleport, but she can also sense where people are, and I'm a bit concerned that she might notice you here, show up, and startle you."
She was silent.
"Alright, let's start at the beginning. First off, what is the last thing you remember? And what did you know about your life before this?"
"A... guard pulled me aside, and everything went d-dark." She said. "And before... It was just life. L-living with the others and the guards. Watching shows and reading books. Eating and sleeping."
>>
>>25092694
"Didn't you ever wonder about your situation? All those guards and security measures for a bunch of kids, the lack of freedom..."
>>
>>25092694
"I don't know the specifics, but Damien went back in time to rescue you, basically. There's no guards here."
>>
>>25092694

"when Rho 124 manifested her abilities, they... didn't need the others anymore... I'm sorry. For 124, Robin's sake, this was the only thing we could do."
>>
>>25092694
"That was my friend out here. One of his abilities is time travel. He went back and saved you from Armatek. If he hadn't done that, you would have been... disposed of. But you're safe here."
>>
>>25092694
"Okay. That guard was really Damien - he's clairvoyant and can sometimes time travel. He grabbed you either just before or just after 124 - she goes by Robin now, incidentally - showed her ability."
>>
>>25092767
Don't phrase it like that. More like "there wasn't much we could do, even just saving one of you was more than we'd expected to be able to."
>>
>>25092694
"Well, every once and awhile someone is born, about one in a billion, that has psionic powers. Armatek took genes of people they believed to have such powers, and then cloned them in huge batches and waited for one of the clones to display such powers. That's who all the Rho's were.
124 was the one who did have those powers. Every other Rho...is gone. We're not Armatek though, and we condemn what they've done. 124 and the other surviving clones from other batches had control chips implanted in their brains. They became like family to each other.
We're a group of psionics from the UPA who freed them from Armatek and the control chips. 124 took the name Robin and has been living with us ever since.
Damien, the boy who just passed out over here, has the ability to travel back in time to a degree as one of his powers. He figured he'd be able to use that to rescue exactly one Rho for Robin. He rescued you."
>>
>>25092694
"You and your sisters were... created by ArmaTek. To create people with abilities and then use them as slaves. And when they succeeded, the others were... disposed. You're the only one besides her that's... I'm sorry. ArmaTek is going to face consequences for toying with peoples' lives."
>>
>>25092694
"Ah... That guard was Damien. He can travel back in time.

He went back to save you, because of what was about to happen. You and Robin are the only ones left."
>>
"That was my friend out here. One of his abilities is time travel. He went back and saved you from Armatek. If he hadn't done that, you would have been... disposed of. But you're safe here."
She was silent.
"Didn't you ever wonder about your situation? All those guards and security measures for a bunch of kids, the lack of freedom..."
More silence.
"You and your sisters were... created by Armatek. To create people with abilities, and use them with slaves. And when they succeeded, the others were... Disposed. You and Robin are the only ones left."
"... Robin?" She asked, quietly, and the door opened a crack, as she peeked out at you. Devourer's mouth opened, and his tongue lolled out, panting. "Like the bird?"
>>
>>25092694
"...do you want me to call her here?"
>>
>>25092912
"After we saved her from Armatek's control, she decided to change her name to Robin."
>>
>>25092912
"Her name was 124, but she changed it."
>>
>>25092912

"she picked it herself. Hello, I'm Heather." bright smile.
>>
>>25092912
"Yup, like the bird. She changed it from Rho because she wanted to, because it was her choice.

She's a nice person, though sometimes a bit gropey."
>>
>>25092912
"Yeah, she liked it the best. Don't think she liked being called Rho, after what happened. If you'd like, you could think of a new name as well."
>>
>>25092912
"Yeah. She... chose that name after she was free from ArmaTek. I'm Heather. Do you want me to call her here?"
>>
>>25092912
"That's the name that 124 took, yeah. I know she'll want to see you, but we haven't told her we saved you yet. We'd like it to be a surprise - but the longer we wait, the more likely she'll be able to sense you and figure it out.
She's distracted for right now, but I don't know how long that will last. Would you like to go see her?"
>>
>>25092912
"Like the bird, yes. She chose the name herself. I'm Heather."

It occurs to me that 'heather' is a plant.
>>
>>25092972
That's why the first time Serpensal asked our name, I posted a picture of the plant.
>>
>>25092963
If yes, then <Robin, come here. Close your eyes, I've got a surprise for you.>
>>
>>25092912
"Yeah, that's what she decided to call herself."
>>
>>25092912
"Well, when she and the others were rescued from Armatek, they decided that a proper name was probably in order. Rho was just a codename, afterall. She went with Robin.

I'm sure she'll be along in a moment. I know you must have a lot of questions, so let's try to get through those. Fire away, I'll answer as well as I can."
>>
>>25093013
>Rho was just a codename, afterall
That's... a bit harsh.
>>
"She picked it herself. Hello, I'm Heather." You give her a bright smile.
She didn't look very reassured.
"If you'd like, you could think of a new name as well."
"Maybe..." She said.
" I know you must have a lot of questions, so let's try to get through those. Fire away, I'll answer as well as I can."
"Not really... where's ... um, Robin?"
"I know she'll want to see you, but we haven't told her we saved you yet. We'd like it to be a surprise - but the longer we wait, the more likely she'll be able to sense you and figure it out." You say. "She's distracted for right now, but I don't know how long that will last. Do you want me to call her here?"
She nodded.
<Robin, Come here. Close your eyes, I've got a surprise for you.>
<Huh? Sure, alright.> She said. <Gimme a second.>

There was a pamf of smoke, and Robin was there, eyes closed.
"What is it?" She asked.
Rho looked Robin up and down.
"You're taller." Rho said, quietly. "A little."
Robin's eyes snapped open. Then, slowly, carefully touched her two-years-younger clone's face, smushing her cheek with a poke.
"... Y-you're here? But... How..."
She looked at Damien, then you.
Then Rho gave Robin the biggest hug possible.
"They told me it's been two years."
"It has." Robin responded.
>>
>>25093092
Let's just give them some time alone. TK Carry Damien to bed, make sure he sleeps well.
>>
>>25093092
Stand quietly and let them have their moment.
>>
>>25093092

wait a little bit and then: "surprise."
>>
>>25093092
"...I'll leave you two to catch up." Smile, hugcarry Devvy-kun and tk Damien.
Also ask Robin's personacom to not bother her for the next hour or so.
>>
>>25093092
"It was pretty much all Damien and Devourer, I couldn't help much.

I'm sorry we couldn't do more."
>>
>>25093109
Damien's already IN a bed. But yeah, stand back and just let them have their moment until one of them talks to us.
>>
>>25093092
"Oh my, Damien will get a sore neck sleeping in that position, better get him back to his room."
>>
>>25093092
"Damien did all the heavy lifting, I just came up with the idea.

If anybody is to thank, it's him."
>>
>>25093092
Surpise<this is Damien's way of saying thank you for helping save his sister.>
>>
>>25093157
We're IN his room.
>>
>>25093173
He also came up with the idea.
>>
You wait as the two hug.
"Surprise." You say.
Robin started giggling uncontrollably, and ruffled her younger clone's hair, kissing her on the forehead.
"Oh my, Damien will get a sore neck sleeping in that position. Better get him back to his room." You say, and lift him into the air with TK. Rho gasped, slightly, as you hugged Devourer and made your way out of the room.
<This is Damien's way of saying thank you for helping save his sister.> You say, and drag the time traveler and biokinetic virus out of the room, making your way to Damien's.
His was empty, and it wasn't hard to talk his locks into opening. Soon enough, you set him on his bed, tucked him in, and made his way out. Devourer, still a dog, continued walking, and panted.
"So, what do we do now?" Devourer asked.
>>
>>25093217
We're in an "abandoned bedroom", not HIS room.
>>
>>25093221
"You can rest for now! I was maybe going to practice my light bending again. Or something else. We still need to put some teeth on Surya."
>>
>>25093221

depending on the time and our energy, we can fit in some more practice with sensors strapped to our head, give the scientists something to work with.

Devourer can rest, we'll even carry him.
>>
>>25093221
"My usual fall-backs are training powers and building stuff. Is there anything you would like to do?"
>>
>>25093221
"Feel free to rest now, good job."
>>
>>25093221
We could go speak to jason and ask about the old station.
>>
>>25093221
"I was going to train my powers, you can come with me if you want?"
>>
>>25093221
"We could get lunch."
>>
"You can rest for now!" You say. "My usual fallback is training powers and building stuff. Is there anything you'd like to do?"
"None." Devourer said. "I will, however, come with you. As I'm currently a loyal canine."
"We could get lunch."
"Lunch sounds good." He said.

You made your way to the cafeteria, Max leering at the brown, floppy-eared dog behind you, and Theta twitched, looking down at Devourer.
Serpensal, meanwhile, was sitting on one of the tables, dunking his head into more nutrient water. Sarvesh was in the kitchen, cooking as normal. Those were the only ones in there- it was a bit early for lunch, it seemed.
"Want anything?" Sarvesh asked.
>>
>>25093366
"Chef special!"
>>
>>25093366
"Surprise me!"
"Oh, by the way Max, gonna need to arrange for another person to stay at the station, short-term at least. Thanks!"
>>
>>25093366

"sure, I'll need it for practice later."

"so far, Damien's trip is a success!"
>>
>>25093366
"Can you do curry?

I don't know how any of us could get through the day without you Sarvesh. You're a miracle in carapace.and chef's whites."

Give the best cook a hug.
>>
>>25093366
"Something with a dumptruck's worth of energy! Gonna hit the training center later."
>>
>>25093366
"Yes please!"
Let's go see how Serpensal's doing, we haven't talked to him in ages.
>>
"Can you do curry?"
"I can try." Sarvesh said.
"I don't know how any of us could get through the day without you, Sarvesh. You're a miracle in carapace and chef's whites."
"I don't wear chef's whites." Sarvesh said.
Quite suddenly, a chef hat appeared on his dome, and Max chuckled- he'd manifested it. A moment later, it started to evaporate, being only illusory.
"I'll get to work, anyway." Sarvesh said, and teleported into the kitchen. You sat down next to Serpensal.
"Oh, by the way Max, gonna need to arrange for another person to stay at the station, short-term at least. Thanks!"
"Yes, Damien told me." Max said. "I've already set her up in Robin's room."
"Someone new? Who?" Theta asked, trying to pretend Devourer wasn't there.
>>
>>25093512
"A Rho!"
>>
>>25093512
Try petting Serpy.

"Rho 187, Damien managed to save her. He's too nice for his own good."
>>
>>25093512
"Rho 748! Name subject to change."
>>
>>25093512

"Damien went back in time and got Robin's girlfriend out before they could... dispose of her."
>>
>>25093512
"Damien used his time travel to save Robin's girlfriend from Armatek."
>>
"A Rho!" You say. "Rho 748! Damien managed to save her."
You give Serpensal a pet, and the strange crystalline carapace seemed to tingle when you did. He leaned up against you, continuing to drink.
"He's too nice for his own good." You say.
"I helped, as well." Devourer said.
Theta looked down at Devourer.
"... You're not a bad being, for a monster." Theta said.
"I know." Devourer said. "I try to be a good monster."
>>
>>25093601
"Monster or not, you're still my son. Or daughter. Or whatever you choose to be."
Hug him slightly harder.
>>
>>25093601
"The best monster."

"So, Serps, any news on how the Valk are getting on?"
>>
>>25093601
Hug Devourer "He's my favorite monster~ Yes he is~"
>>
>>25093601
theta you free after lunch? I'm thinking of trying more light manipulation
>>
>>25093601
"Have you had your crystal lattice waxed, Serpensal? It feels a little different today."
>>
>>25093601

"you two didn't meet in the best situation, but with how things have been going... I'm not saying you should become friends this instant, but getting along and not killing each other would be good, right?"
>>
You pull Devourer into a tight hug. "He's my favorite monster~ Yes he is~"
"Guess I won't kill you until I really need to, then." Theta said.
"That would be kind of you." Devourer said.

"Theta, are you free after lunch? I'm thinking of trying more light manipulation."
"I'm actually not." He said. "Sigma and I are having a talk."
There was something he wasn't saying there...
"So Serps, any news on how the Valk are getting on?"
"The Valk are still trading technology for planets and colonies. I suspect they will become the fourth UPA species." He said.
>>
>>25093601
"I know your power reacts badly to him, but you could try and be a bit friendlier. I don't go around screaming about Alex being a monster, I just supress my desire to murder him and carry on."

>>25093663
Who needs to waste Theta's time when we have a pocket Devourer?
>>
>>25093713
"Ah, alright. I'll try to leave my flesh as uncharred as possible."
>>
>>25093718
>Who needs to waste Theta's time when we have a pocket Devourer?
if our little monster wasn't tired from helping damien I wouldn't have said anything.
>>
>>25093713
"Guess I'll have to practise manifestation or something instead.

You know, something where I don't burst into flames if I do it wrong."
>>
>>25093713

"Is it a private matter? I won't pry further if you or her don't want it."

"I'll send Kailynn a message then."
>>
>>25093766
It's unlikely anything will happen. We've got a lot better since we set ourselves on fire. Devourer can stabilize us if an emergency does happen.
>>
>>25093713
"That sounds great Serpy, I think it'll be beneficial for everyone. Space is a much nicer place when it's full of friends."

Try to find an ear analogue to scritch Serpy behind. Keep on hugging Devourer. We are queen of the adorable little creatures.
>>

"Hey! Come with me when I do the light beam practice and tell me what it tastes like.

>>
"That sounds great, Serpy. I think it'll be beneficial for everyone. Space is a much nicer place when it's full of friends."
You continue to pet Serpensal, trying to scratch behind his ears, but he twitched away when you started to scratch him- apparently he preferred rubbing more.

Soon enough, you had curry with rice delivered to you, and you hugged Devourer, starting to eat.
"How has your new discipline been working, Sarvesh?" Max asked.
"It's difficult to maintain." Sarvesh said. "Too much focus."
"I see." He said.
"And Serpensal, come with me when I do the light beam practice and tell me what it tastes like."
"Certainly." He said. "Perhaps you will learn to speak with Valk."
>>
>>25093906
"Whatcha been working on Sarvesh?"

Eat delicious curry.
>>
>>25093906
"Perhaps! That'd be fun!'

"What's this new thing, Sarvesh?"
>>
>>25093906
"Ooh, that would be cool!"
Like Anna speaks Nagala.
>>
Oh, we are doing the light beam practice?
Okay.
Also we should when Theta is available continue our All-Wavelength-Practice.
>>
>>25093961
Once we have the visible spectrum down it should be pretty easy to widen the effect.
>>
"Perhaps! that'd be fun." You say, and take a bite. "What's this new thing, Sarvesh?"
"Well, you explained that my teleportation works when I determine myself to be somewhere else, so... I decided to see what would happen if I determined myself exactly where I am." He said, and shrugged. Then... He shimmered blue, his eyes closing, blue light dancing across his carapace.
"Now try to manipulate me." He said. "With anything. Pushing, telekinesis, anything."
Theta reached out...
Then sighed. "You're rejecting anything I try to do."

How about NOT. We can try something similar later, in /Surya/.
>>
>>25094055
>You still use wifi for internet, short range connections, and such, but quantum entanglement is surpassing it most of the time.

You try to push him with TK, but all of the kinetic force you're imparting do absolutely nothing. As if he had infinite mass or something.
"So, you become an immovable, unchangable object?"
"Yes." Sarvesh said, and then took a deep breath, lowering that strange ability.
"Let me try again." Theta said, and held out a hand-
And Sarvesh twisted, his body contorting, and he twisted...

And lying there, on his back, was a young, bronze tanned man, with sparse brown hair and more muscles than Damien. Entirely nude.
"What." He said, and hissed as he bit his own tongue.
Theta grinned.

Max gave both of them a disapproving look.
>>
>>25094086
Get him some clothes.
>>
>>25094086
Well, I guess it's time to leer like Heather has never leered before.

"Looking good, Sarvesh."

"I guess it's true what they say about Centaurs. You look good."

>>
>>25094202

Theta is probably leering with the burning intensity of a thousand stars.
>>
You blush, and give him a good long leer. He simply lay there, doing his best to sit up. You manifest some clothes next to him.
"Cheap shot there, Theta. His shield was down, so it doesn't prove anything."
"It was?"
"Yeth. I Wath." Sarvesh said.
"Hi, Human Sarvesh!"
"Hi." He responded, and started wiggling his fingers. He didn't seem to be disturbed about being nude- he was much more interested in how his hands and arms felt, as he moved and waved them. He didn't even try to talk anymore. <These things feel a lot more dense and stronger than my lower arms, and more agile than my upper ones. I could see them being handy.>
Then he grabbed at the clothes, and unfolded them, giving them- and himself- a look. <I am rather attractive.>
>>
>>25094227
<Good self confidence.>
>>

"My, someone thinks highly of themselves. But yeah, apparently Centaurs translate to lots of muscle as humans. I wonder if that's true for female centaurs as well."
>>
>>25094227
<Of course, you looked good as a Centaur too after all.>
>>
>>25094227
<Sarvesh, you're handsome as can be, doesn't matter whether you're human or centaur, you're a hunk.

Mmm, I am going to remember this image for a long time.>

we saw sarvesh's sister in human form before
>>
>>25094227
<Yup, you should probably still get dressed though, what with human dicks being external and all.>
>>
>>25094227
<You always are.>
>>
>>25094294
Oh, didn't remember. But Sarvesh isn't special in doing heavy work among centaurs, so I guess all centaur males get hunky bodies.
>>
>>25094318
Nah.
>>25094227
"You're...well, you don't have a carapace. Perhaps you should don some clothing?"
>>
Leak some immodest thoughts.
>>
>>25094338
>Technically, there's no 'translation' from human to centaur bodies. It's all based on Theta.

"My, someone thinks highly of themselves."
<Well, I wasn't able to tell until now.> Sarvesh said.
<Sarvesh, you're handsome as can be, doesn't matter whether you're human or centaur, you're a hunk.> You say.
"You should probably still get dressed, though. Others might not be comfortable with it."
"Or *too* comfortable." Theta said, leering.
<Er, right.> Sarvesh said, trying to bite his own upper lip. He blushed, embarassed, as he flashed blue and vanished.
"... Damn." Theta said.

A short time later, Sarvesh appeared again, in the clothes you'd made him, stumbling backward as he tried to get to his feet.
<Your knees are sideways.> He said, waving his arms to keep his balance. His cheeks were still bright red. <And colors are weird.>
>>
>>25094227
<Yeah, I think I still prefer you as a Centaur though.>
>>
>>25094373
<No, YOUR knees are sideways! And yeah, our eyes aren't as good at the whole color thing.>
>>
>>25094373
"'nay my friend, our knees are forwards! And the colours unfortunately lack the uv spectrum."
>>
>>25094373
"No, no. *Your* knees are sideways. You have to walk like pacman!"
>>
>>25094373
<Yeah, Centaurs and Nagala get all these cool senses humans don't... lucky.>
>>
>>25094373

"Human walking is more like controlling where you will fall but never quite doing so."
>>
>>25094373
"Yeah, but you can actually hear stuff decently now. Play some of your favorite music and hear the difference!"
>>
>>25094373
"We might say your knees are weird, I'll give you the color thing, your eyes see more interesting ones.

It takes some getting used to I admit.

Mmm, delicious crabcake."
>>
"No, no, *your* knees are sideways." You say. "You have to walk like pacman! And yeah, our eyes aren't as good at the whole color thing."
<I don't know who that is.> He said. <But I can hear really well, now. Like, I can *hear* where you are.>
"It takes some getting used to, I admit."
<It does. How do you walk?>
"Human walking is more like controlling where you will fall, but never quite doing so."
Carefully, Sarvesh took a single step forward, almost twisting his ankle.
<... Makes sense, kind of. Lean forward, catch yourself with your foot... I seem to have muscle memory for it, so that helps.>
>>
>>25094373
"Walking and standing as a human is a study in balance. And being a Centaur was just as wierd for me."
>>
>>25094539
"Just, like, lift up your leg. Then put it down."
>>
>>25094539

"careful, you could easily hurt yourself if you over do it."
>>
>>25094539
"I was gonna head down to the training room. We can walk along the way, if you want me to show you how to do it properly."
>>
"Careful, you could easily hurt yourself if you overdo it."
<Right.> He said, and took another step, more carefully.
"I was gonna head down to the training room. We can walk along the way, if you want me to show you how to do it properly."
<That would be fine.> He said. <It's not as if I have much to do, anyway. I've already eaten.>

You finish your food, and get to your feet, where Sarvesh was leaning up against one of the walls. You'd made his T-shirt too tight, thankfully, so you got an eyeful while you ate.
<Ready?> He asked.
"Ready!" You say, and you started to guide him how to walk.

In the hallway, Sarvesh tried walking more quickly- and stumbled, falling onto you.
"... Sorry." He said, and his cheeks went as red as they'd been. It was strange- he'd been blushing almost this entire time. Carefully, he started to try to push himself to his feet.
>>
>>25094685
Help him up with TK

"It's okay! It was hard to walk when I was a centaur, too."
>>
>>25094685
"You sure do blush a lot in human form. I wonder if Theta made a mistake."
>>
>>25094685
"It's alright, every knight has their squire."
>>
>>25094685
It occurs to me, Sarvesh no longer has his carapace to protect him from AWKWARD BONERS.
>>
>>25094685

"You'll get the hang of it eventually. you keep blushing so much, is everything alright?" help him up.
>>
>>25094685
Help him stand up, use this as an excuse to feel up his muscles and give them a few squeezes.

"Take your time, new bodies take practice.

You're cute when you blush."
>>
>>25094685
"Adapting to moving around as a different species can be tough, don't worry about it."
>>
>>25094706
But Heather is the king.
>>
>>25094728
Too forward
>>
>>25094740
The pirate king. I don't remember pirates ever having knights. In the landlubber hierarchy, she's just a commoner.
>>
>>25094770
Pirates do, however, have bosun mates, helmsmen, Quartermasters, Gunners, Ship's Surgeons, and Ship's Carpenters.
>>
"You'll get the hang of it eventually." You say, and pull him to his feet, making sure to sneak a feel. "You keep blushing so much, is everything alright?"
"It's just uh." He said. "I'm not used to having skin. It feels strange."
"Take your time. New bodies take practice."
Devourer didn't say anything, simply following.

Soon enough, you and Sarvesh- who stumbled once more, but didn't fall over- made your way to one of the training rooms, where Keen was in the chair, leaning back and having a smoke.
"Hey." He said. "You guys want to do something? Some training, I mean. Sarvesh?"
"... You know it's me?" He asked.
"Personacom. And sensors." Keening said. "Sorry, give me a sec to put this out."
He did so, and flushed the life support, giving you fresh air to breathe again. "What's the plan?"
>>
>>25094770
Yeah, but pirates wouldn't give a shit about landlubber hierarchy in the first place.
>>
>>25094744
But there's muscles to grope and feel up. Like a siren call made of buffness.

And let's be honest, it's far from the perviest thing Heather has done.
>>
>>25094805
"Hmm... you want that retrocog?"
>>
>>25094805

Note to self, give Sarvesh a massage before he changes back.
>>
>>25094805

"so much to choose from..."

Telepathy, conversion or photokenisis.
>>
>>25094862
He could probably get Theta to fix his dependency on nicotine and quit smoking. But that'd be cheating.
>>
>>25094805
"I was going to train with light some more. Sarvesh was just practising walking."
Did we bring Serpensal? Also maybe if Sarvesh used his new power and determined that he was here and he was him he could turn himself back.
>>
"Photon powers today again!" You say. "Maybe I can figure out how to recharge from it as well?"
"Maybe." He said. "Okay, I'll get everything set up. Bob, Serpensal, and Sarvesh, come on into the technician room."
"Okay." Sarvesh said, and made his way clumsily back to the technician side of the room.
"Okay, Heather. We have everything set up. Wearing your sensor?"
You nod.
"Then let loose!"

You close your eyes, standing there in the room, and feel out for the light...

And then, slowly, carefully, you start to absorb it. To breathe it in, like air. Light fills your veins, your breath, your pounding heart. Your exhastion slowly starts to ebb, and you take another deep breath- And then, you open your eyes again, and feel almost hyper, jittery.

"... That was interesting." Keen said.
"That wasn't creating light." Serpensal said. "that was destroying it."

Keen twisted his screen around, and showed you a replay. The light you were facing had dimmed, and bathed you in utter darkness for almost a full minute. Strange- didn't seem like so long to you.

That sounds dumb as hell. A perfect storm of silly, melodramatic and edginess.

"Alright!" Keen said, and wheeled the screen around again. "What are we going to train now?"

Just had a thought. We can manipulate light energy at this point. Eventually we can make a death ray type deal, but it wouldn't be visible to humans. Basically bending, manipulating, and shoving it into a beam of concentrated gamma radiation. That'll do the trick
>>
You hold out your palms, and focus...
And a flash of blinding light blazes from your palms, a veritable floodlight of energy leaving you. It almost blinded you, so you looked away... And when you let go of the power, you look back... And saw that the panels were very slightly warped, though Serpensal- who had jumped in the beam- looked perfectly fine. You were rather tired, now, but weren't so hyper anymore.
"If that was a tighter beam." Serpensal said. "That would have been a laser. It was warm! Comfortable. Pretty."

I vote biscuits and chat with Sarvesh, see how he's adjusting to human-level vision, especially after that blast. After a rest, see if we're up for precision.
>>
>>25095231

"glad you enjoyed it, how high would you rate it?"

"Good, good. Can you set up some targets or something for me, Keen? I'd like to try finesse."
>>
"I'm doing really well today! I'll try to make it tighter."
"Be careful." Keening said. "Take a bit of a break, alright?"

Later, with biscuits, you were sitting next to Sarvesh, munching on them, while Devourer was talking with Keening. The technician had started up his cigarette again, sitting under an intake vent in the technician's room.
"So, how are you adjusting to human-level sight?" you ask.
"It's strange." Sarvesh said- he was talking better, now, but he had a strange accent and had taken to clicking his teeth. "I'm getting used to it, though. Your hair is nowhere near as pretty, sadly."
>>
>>25095340
"No, but you can hear things a lot better. When I was a centaur everything sounded really, really bassy."
>>
>>25095340
"Ah well, you'll be back to your usual eyesight eventually."
>>
>>25095340

Pout. Not mega-pout, just regular quivery-lip pout. "Does that mean you're going to stop being nice to me?"
>>
>>25095340
"It did look pretty amazing in centaur-vision, I agree. How are you finding it not having a carapace?"

Prod him on the arm or the cheek or something when you say that.

>>25095340

"the wonders of genetic difference between Humans and centaurs eyes."
>>
>>25095340

I know, seeing as I've had centaur eyes before
>>
You pout. "Does that mean you're going to stop being nice to me?"
"Not at all." He said. "Your hair is still rather pretty."
You suddenly poke him on the cheek. "How are you finding it not having carapace?"
He jumped.
"It's... strange. Really strange. And sensitive. Not sensitive in a way that makes it painful in open air, like post-moulting, but... Weird sensitive."
>>
>>25095445
"Feely sensitive?"
>>
>>25095445

Sounds like a plan.
>>
"Yeah, we're kind of squishy." You say. "It has it's advantages."
You run your hands through his hair, and he shivered, as you started to give him a shoulder massage. "Tactile sensation is nice. Fingers are the best. Very sensitive and precise feeling. Also, it's easier to feel muscles and the like under skin."
"T-this feels rather... S-strange." He said, goosebumps all over his skin.
"Yep, more sensitive, and check this out!"
You start to tickle him, and Sarvesh started squirming, trying not to chuckle. As it turns out, he was incredibly ticklish, trying to squirm away.
"P-please stop." He said, finally, using Telekinesis to keep your hands away from his sides.
>>
>>25095560
Indeed.
>>
>>25095606

"Alright, alright, sorry, I couldn't resist." You say, and giggle. "You're very ticklish, even by human standards."
He pouted at you, chocolate eyes staring into yours, as color returned to you. You found your breath caught in your lungs for a moment, and then grinned at him.
"Is massaging also verboten?"
"I suppose not." He said, after a moment, and grinned back.
>>
>>25095707
Start on his shoulders, work up to his neck.
Poke him repeatedly with our boobs while we work.
>>
>>25095707

Massage shoulders and back until we feel up for more practice. Depart with nuzzle to back of neck and a wink.
>>
>>25095722
>>25095724
So are we going straight to Sarvesh route no warnings at all or something? Cause if it's not final this is getting pretty mean, given how hard he's tried to get over us.
>>
>>25095766
Well, it might be a bit much what they posted, but a back massage is still in order, at least.
>>
>>25095766

I get the feeling Heather is in a giddy mood right now, what with the recent romp with Luna, flipping Causality off, and getting good progress in with Photokinesis. I don't think we should screw Human!Sarvesh on the floor of the training room or anything, but I can see her being overly affectionate.

Though as someone who ships Sarvesh/Heather, I could be biased.
>>
>>25095707

"oh hey, my color sense is back."

>>25095766

I'm voting for not. massaging him is fine, he won't be human that long after all but we shouldn't get his hopes up, not after he lost the wargame to get over us.

>need to sleep
>>
>>25095766
I only just got here. I'm riding everyone else's wave.

I think the objective is to give him an embarrassing boner, oogle it, and then leave him with that.

Make sure to remove his shirt first, for easier access, that's it, easier access, not leering.
>>
>>25095766
I don't think it's crossed over into being cruel yet.

It's probably harmless.
>>
>>25095802
Well yeah, wait for him to be back to his natural form before we bang him like a drum.
>>
>>25095810
Pretty much. After all the effort he went through to move on, it'd be insulting more than anything else.
>>
>>25095862
Then again he tried to get over us because he thought we'd be happy with Anna, I wonder if he's still "over us" now that it's clear that didn't really work out.

Honestly we don't know how Sarvesh feels about the whole thing now.
>>
>>25095802
I don't think Causality actually got flipped the bird - I'm pretty sure Damien packaged up Rho's consciousness right before the sedate-and-kill order went out, and then had Devourer make her a new body from scratch based on her old body as a template.
>>
>>25095896
We've kept the Anna thing on the lowdown, AFAIK. I think Jilly and a couple of the councillors know about it, but they don't seem like the type to spread rumours.
>>
"Oh hey, my color is back." You say, and then get to work. You simply massage his back, digging your fingers into his shoulderblades and feeling down his spine. He let out a few relaxed sighs, and one awkward groan, but other than that, he almost fell asleep there, under your hands.
Then you grinned and got to your feet, feeling refreshed.
"Are you ready to try it again?" Keening asked, as Sarvesh shook himself back to consciousness. "Or to try something else?"
He had a new cigarette in his mouth, you noticed... And so did Devourer the hound.
>>
>>25095896
>Honestly we don't know how Sarvesh feels about the whole thing now.
We could ask him?
We have him alone right now.
>>
>>25095944
"Keen, are you giving my child cigarettes?" Unleash our most disapproving maternal scowl.

>>25095947
We can ask him after practice.
>>
>>25095944

Hell to the fuck yeah! Go for precision this time. Set us up some targets, shoot some finger-beams.
>>
>>25095944
"Are you being a bad influence on my, uh..son? Maybe? Daughter doesn't feel right...Anyway, what's this smoking thing?!"
>>
>>25095944

"Bob. S. Devourer. are you smoking?!"
>>
>>25095941
Heather went to talk to Sarvesh right after it happened. I'm assuming she told him.
>>
>>25095947
I wouldn't call this 'alone.'

>>25095944
Let's give it a go, then! Let's work on our bending, for now.
>>
>>25095944
"Hey! No giving cigarettes to children! Devourer-kun is only a few weeks old, you monster."
"I thought you were trying to quit smoking."

Idly run our fingernails underneath Sarvesh's hair.
Then let's get back to practice.
>>
>>25095944
I still wanna try nottechnopathy on something thats not tech.
>>
>>25095941
Funny thing about it is, Anna's spent lots of time crying on various shoulders about it and coming to terms with what happens.

Heather has never really openly talked to anyone about how she feels about the whole thing.
>>
>>25095977
Wouldn't it be 'Devourer "Bob" Leery'?
>>
>>25095967
>"Keen, are you giving my child cigarettes?" Unleash our most disapproving maternal scowl.
This. Not that it will really affect Devourer, but it's the principle. Then back to practice.
>>
>>25095944
Smoking puppy, so cute. It won't hurt him.

"I think I have another session in me."

One last session then spend some time in private with Sarvesh.
>>
>>25096003
We went home and talked to our parents and cried on their shoulders a bit.
>>
>>25096003
I agree, I feel like we missed an opportunity for some Heather character development there.

>>25095944
"Keen, you're a bad influence!

I mean, I don't think Devy has lungs as we know them, but that is beside the point!"

>>
>>25096003
She talked to her parents.

Aside from that, dancing around the issue to avoid the realisation that something bad happened, I guess.
>>
>>25096001

That's what Knowing is.
>>
>>25095944
Is it lit? Can we light it with a microlaser?
>>
>>25096063
I feel bad that we never talked to Summer about it, she could tell something was wrong with Heather, but Heather just went "eh, Anna will probably tell you" and brushed it off.

I think Summer could be trusted to keep a secret.
>>
"Keen, are you giving my child cigarettes?" You ask, and scowl at him.
"Yep." He said. "Though technically, I'm giving cigarettes to a superior of mine. He is technically a researcher now, after all, and is an adult based on his species."
"I don't have a species. And I only gained maturity after consuming enough telepaths." Devourer said.
"Precisely." Keen said. "Maturity. That's all age is, right?"
You give him another scowl, and walk out to the chamber again.
There, you closed your eyes, and felt for the light around you... And worked to... bend it.

>Roll Photokinetic finesse!
>>
>>25096067
Not really, knowing gives us knowledge on shit, technopathy awakens things with character, we've yet to try it on something that isn't a machine.
>>
>>25096067
Knowing and Awakening appear to be different things.
Knowing is new, Technopathy is Awakening, and then talking to the thing.
Most technopathy seems to be only a temporary effect, though. When we're not there it's not alive.

Carefully, slowly, you bend it around you...
And then you remember the training you'd done with the spheres. That it wouldn't be hard to wrap it around you, and just hold focus...
Something... snapped into place, and you heard Keen chuckle.

When you open your eyes again, everything looked like you were looking out through some kind of glass bottle.
"So." Keen said. "We can see you on thermal, but not visually. At all."

>"Unless." Sarvesh said. "His future self accomplished it, came back in time, and turned invisible. He'd technically win, for having perfected it *first*."
no he wouldn't, because the amount of time spent means he took longer than me anyways.
>>
"But using psionics would be cheating." You say.
there was a pause.
Keening chuckled.
"No giving him ideas!" You say.
"Alright, I won't tell him." Sarvesh said, and laughed, grinning at you. He stumbled to his feet. "I'm tempted to go take a shower, almost, now. Or lay in bed. Something like that. Feel what that's like."

You close your eyes, and take a deep breath, and let the light fall upon you. You curve it, slightly, inward, and focus it into yourself. The weariness, starts to ebb, and you're feeling much better-
When your head started to ache. You got dizzy, and couldn't absorb much more, so you let go of the power again, and opened your eyes.
Keen set the light back to normal, and you felt... still a little tired, but not much. You couldn't absorb forever, you knew now, but you were also... hyper. Even though your limbs were tired, like you'd been running, you were still jittery, and excited.

You stretched.
"Alright, how's that?" Keen asked. "Need me for anything more?"

Devourer ate his cigarette, apparently not liking it, and turned smaller- into what looked like a large, hairy toad.

Yeah, let's develop it into an actually useful skill.,

To be fair, that was more like there were things to do, but no antagonist to encourage getting to them quickly, and people were content faffing about instead. It's also why I'm ambivalent about the ending - on one hand, definitely ran out of steam by the end, and Exa did the right thing not letting it go on like that. On the other, there were still things about the world I was interested in (especially with the way it ended). Though that doesn't refute your point of course.

>>
>>25097294

"I don't see why not." You say, and close your eyes. "Hold still."
You focus... And kick in that strange perception turned on.

For a fraction of a moment, you saw Rose. You saw the roiling maelstrom around her, swelling and pulsing around her, alien powers swimming to the surface before falling down...
She had... Something. Something she didn't know of, yet. Something unawakened.
Something that wasn't teleportation.
And then, your focus, went out of your control.
Not to Robin. Or Ellie, or Isaac, or even Devourer or Keen behind you.
All you could see were thousands, tens of thousands of grand tendrils, shooting through space, trailing along the wake of...
Demiurg and Kliktik ships. Full to bear with weapons, some manifested, some not.

<Great tides of darkness, here to wash out the night sky...> The bat was babbling on. <Even the unknowable will be unable to hold the sorceress at bay...>

You noticed something.
They were going to... Heaven's Jewel. Kulekala. Haegost. Earth. Burer's Glyph.

None of the ships were coming *here*.

The Devourer learned that name while devouring the void queen's supposedly mind controlled lackeys. They're the name of the species.
>>
>>25097619
Okay, here's my plan.

So, we take our singularity bomb. Then, we surround it with the forcefields. We know those cut through matter pretty well, so we drop it on her planet, then let it get pulled to the center of the planet and activate the black hole.
>>
>>25097619

>>
>>25097835
That's a surefire way to get people killed. I'd rather just annihilate the entire system.
>>
>>25097856
And in the process kill millions of innocents.

we void queen now.
>>
>>25097856

So, to avoid people being killed, you want to genocide an innocent race that's been cruelly enslaved to the Void Queen's will?
>>
>>25097897
Yes. Collateral damage.
>>
>>25097897
In order to save all of the people who live on those planets.

It's more of a mercy kill, anyway. Death is preferable to being used as a puppet.
>>
>>25097571
Good job, dude. You made him think up a cliffhanger and doomed the universe.
>>
>>25097933
>>25097947
Alternatively, if we kill the Void Queen WITHOUT MURDERING AN ENTIRE SOLAR SYSTEM then we can rescue the race.

Please stop being so murderhoboish. Doing this is so far outside of Heather's established character that it's not even funny.
>>
>>25097967
That was already the cliffhanger. The only thing that roll changed was if you were able to Know Rho before your eyes attuned to the tendrils.
>>
>>25097897
Technically it wouldn't even be that. There are a *lot* of ships full of Kliktik. Probably enough that their race could recover handily.

We need to wipe the VQ out before she gets a chance to hurt or control any more people. Ends might not justify the means, but it has to be done.
>>
>>25098008
Except we have no way of knowing if it will actually work any better than going in there ourselves, beyond people wanting to take the easy way out.
>>
>>25097974
Consider this: The things you want to face up close were able to dismantle our black holes.

Consider the TK power required for that.
Now do you see why solar annihilation is preferable?
>>

This is true. Regardless of how 'right' it is, it's waaaay out of character.

>>

>>
>>25098033
So because she's proven immune to psionic weapons of mass destruction you want to use a psionic weapon of mass destruction on her?
>>
>>25098087
What's psionic about our black hole bomb covered in forcefields? We know that the forcefields can redirect TK, so we don't have to worry about that.
>>

That isn't even really an answer.
>>

>>
>>25097835
Okay, remember when Devourer went in. She manifested entire nuclear arsenals on top of him. If we went into that, we would be completely and utterly dead. We just can't fight her.
What we need to do is let Devourer rest, then give him all the powers so he can have another go.

>>
>>25098207
This, with Alex there we can shut her down.

Nuking her from a distance will most likely not kill her, with Alex there, we can cut off her powers and be sure she's dead once and for all.
>>
>>25098212

we have badass forcefields and Alex. I'm not worried.
>>
>>25098224
Not that guy, but after she got powered up from Sigma, there is pretty much no stopping her. She can manifest nukes anywhere, manifest ships by the dozen, and we can't even RKV her because she has the tech to intercept it now.
>>
>>25098203
>>25098207
>double team with us and devourer
Summer and Alex were not part of his plan.
>>
>>25098282
Except we still have Alex. Who can literally reduce her to powerlessness if we can get close.
>>
>>25098257
Great, yeah! Alex! Woo!

Except that'll cut our own powers.
>>
Let's just gather everyone up and go slap her shit.

Power of friendship and all. Devourer lasted a decent amount of time, and he was alone. If we had everyone fighting at their best, I think we'd be even, perhaps even outmatch her. Especially while she's devoting so many resources to invading UPA space.
>>
>>25098224
To be fair, her displays of power are pretty convincing. We'll only win because plot armor.
>>
>>25098282
Looks like you got your work cut out for you then.
>>
>>25098323
This, seriously, the whole sun-nuke plan is just asking for failure, or for the VQ to go "huh, that IS a good idea", and drop one on us in return.
>>
>>25098304
And hers. And then we shoot her. In the face. With the ion laser.
>>
>>25098323
>"Alright everyone, we're going to kill the Void Queen now. Come on. Off we go."

Something like that. Anna can siphon power from the engine and Theta can use that to put everyone in peak condition on the way there.
>>
>>25098323
Yeah, have you thought this through?

She can manifest nukes anywhere. She can manifest pretty much anything anywhere thanks to the tech knowledge from Sigma. Why's she invading like this? What's the point?

She's deliberately drawing us in. It is a trap.
>>
>>25098328
>her displays of power are pretty convincing

Look back over the quest, look at some of the insane things Heather and the other psions have done.

Singly we're no match for her, as a group, I'd say we are.

I'm reminded of all the people who responded to Devourer turning up by going "welp, no chance we can win here, may as well just give up, fuck your railroading bullshit Exa!" because they weren't willing to even try and fix things, having spent so long building up Devourer to be unstoppable in their minds.
>>
>>25098372
Alternatively, she's lashing out in spite because she's angry at her repeated failures to kill us.
>>
>>25098372
Actually, our weird clay stuff stops her from doing anything.
>>
>>25098372
So what should we do? RTV would be blocked because she can manifest a dozen nukes. Singularity would be blocked because she can manifest a dozen nukes.

Really, 'She can manifest a dozen nukes' is a hard counter to basically everything. If we let that stop us, she wins by default.

Why don't we try demanifesting the nukes, or interrupting her in the process, somehow? We do need to work out a way to counter that one.
>>
>>25098426
It stops her doing anything near the clay stuff. There's nothing stopping her turning Heaven's Jewel into dust.
>>
>>25098389
He is kind of immortal. And giving up fighting him was the right thing to do, we got an awesome ally out of it.
>>
>>25098453
Us having it means we can literally drive our ship right up to her front lawn and she can't do shit about it.
>>
>>25098449
>'She can manifest a dozen nukes'
so can Delta
>>
>>25098453
Right, which is why we're going to go kill the void queen in a non-genocidal way.
>>
>>25098453
Except for the fact that she hasn't reached Heaven's Jewel yet.

Meaning we need to go. Like, right the fuck now. Just straight up grab all the psions and unto the breach we go.
>>
>>25098474
That is a good point. We don't even need Alex.
>>
>>25098477
and Heather can reduce a Demiurg Flagship to a nebula with her mind. People really are selling our psions short.
>>
>>25098510
Since when? And with what power?
>>
>>25098541
Since a few threads back, when she did just that by black hole bombing its bubble drive.
>>
>>25098560
But that was with tech that required a specific scenario.
>>
>>25098582
So? We can manifest any tech we need.
>>
>>25098560
We didn't black hole bomb the bubble drive. We rammed another bubble drive into it. Just because a bubble drive can create a sort of black hole when it goes wrong doesn't mean you can call it a fucking black hole bomb. It's not even a bomb.
>hurr Helios, pour all your power into the black hole bomb so Surya can go faster!
>>
>>25098582
>But that was with tech that required a specific scenario
we have two psions that specialize in tech
>>
>>25098595
That's not going to kill VQ if she's on a planet.
>>
>>25098449
We can always just ask the nice, kind Nukes to Not-Explode.
Then we don't have to worry.
>>
>>25098628
>"I made a black hole bomb." you say. "It was awesome."
>"... Did it evaporate?" Max asked.
>"Yeah."
>"That's good, then." He said, laying his head down. You continued to pet him.

As taken from Thread 76, don't get so buttmad about my wording. The point is, we can cause massive destruction with our psionic powers, most likely on a par with the Void Queen, with a little creativity on our part.
>>
I think we should consider awakening Einstein. He's always been there for Heather.
>>
>>25098676
Telepathing a voidqueen thing? That's bound not to go wrong. Delta can block our technopathy easily, no reason she can't do the same.
>>
>>25098676
They'd probably say "Fuck you!", only the exclamation mark is a nuclear explosion. Like Delta's manifested tech does.
>>
>>25098582
And we manifested all the tech we needed.

Let's just manifest a black hole overlapping her nuclear arsenal manifestations. Or hold the blast back with TK. Or technokinetically disarm them. Or have Summer phase them into a pocket dimension. Or bend the blast around us with photokinesis. Or have Alex nullify them. Or have Robin teleport them elsewhere. Or have Sarvesh teleport us away from them. You get the point.

Literally, there are dozens of solutions to the 'Nukes fall, everyone dies' scenario.
>>
>>25098713
>>25098708
VQ Psionics are natural psionics, not cloned. It wouldn't be blocked like that.
>>
>>25098753
What does being cloned have to do with anything? And how do you know VQ is natural?
>>
>>25098745
Our powers are horribly unreliable. You want to hold back a nuclear blast when we can barely contain some air around us? We've only been able to manifest one small black hole at once. Summer hasn't been able to handle anything over a small fighter. Alex needs to touch them to nullify. I doubt Robin can teleport an entire blast. Sarvesh gets braindamage from moving a ship.
>>
>>25098767
It would be like talking to Summer's manifestations, not Delta's creations.
>>
>>25098799
Summer's never manifested tech for us to technopathy.
Being cloned makes you a specialist. It doesn't change how your power works. We could learn Sarvesh's teleportation or Robin's teleportation.
>>
I really think you're overestimating the VQ and underestimating the psions.

Devourer did pretty well against her 1v1. With everybody else on his side, I like our chances.
>>
>>25098875
Devourer did pretty well because he's immortal.

And can regenerate instantaneously.
>>
>>25098860
>>25098799
>>25098767
I should mention that none of you quite know- not even the scientists- why or how the armatek clones differ from 'normal' psions.
>>
>>25098794
Where the hell have you been for the last 50 threads?
>We've only been able to manifest one small black hole at once
Nope
>Summer hasn't been able to handle anything over a small fighter
Which are larger than nukes
>Alex needs to touch them to nullify
Nope
>I doubt Robin can teleport an entire blast
How about a bomb, superhuman reflexes teleporter.
>Sarvesh gets braindamage from moving a ship
Larger than a nuke, 50 threads ago.
>>
>>25098921
Alex does need to touch them to nullify. Manifested things are perfectly fine in his field.
>>
>>25098976
He proved he could directly effect manifested things without touching them on Burer's glyph.
>>
>>25098921
We've never done more than one black hole at once.
The nukes are set to explode instantly.
No, he does. We tested when making stuff for him.
Robin can only do 2 - 3 things quickly before she gets tired.
Sarvesh gets tired from continual teleporting.
>>
>>25099007
No he didn't? He caught the bullet (touched it to remove its manifested momentum) and punched a guy in the face.
>>
>>25099007
In that case, the bullet itself slowed and stopped before touching Pariah at all, due to counteracting the momentum. (Since the momentum was generated by the electromagnets in a manifested suit) Then he knocked it to the ground.
>>
>>25099055
>It stopped in the air next to that monster, and it batted the shell away with a dismissive gesture.
Stoped before touching him.
>>
>>25099104
Well that's cool I guess but it's still pretty useless against nukes and we really don't want to be concentrating on trying to not shoot him because he went super-Pariah.
>>
>>25099202
Nukes are manifested, they cannot effect paraiah, blast wave may even just immediately disappear as soon as it hits him. We also have badass sheilds that redirect any energy that hits them so theres those.
>>
>>25099252
Yeah, great! Energy shields which cover...barely anything. Sure, the blast wave might not kill him, but you can bet it won't do our ship any good!
>>
>>25099252
>blast wave may even just immediately disappear as soon as it hits him
Great, but the rest of us are still dead. And he is too if the attack distracted us enough to squeeze the trigger. We're not using Alex against the nukes.
>>
>>25099292
And a tech manifester that can make a shitload of them, and two psions that can constantly recharge him.
>>
>>25099292
>>25099310
So if we drop in right next to her, what makes you think she'll manifest nukes in her own face?
>>
>>25099319
Omni already said it would be impossible to cover our ship in them.
>>
>>25099345
If she doesn't use any nukes, then we definitely won't use Alex against the nukes. Because there won't be any nukes.
>>
>>25099345
Because she /is/ powerful enough at TK to redirect the blast?
>>
>>25099377
We don't know that.
>>
>>25099396
Given that when we rescued Devourer, he was being watched by the sycthe-arm creatures and then hit by a nuclear blast, having them survive, I'd say it's a reasonable estimate.
>>
>>25099451
Nuke came before the aliens were standing near him. We don't know if they were present during the blast, only after.
