LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST!: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25114636/
Check my Twitter for Updates and Re-schedules don’t worry about crap, it was made specifically for this Quest: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

The year is A.G. 140 and the war with the Vagan continues as they press onwards towards Earth, steadily gaining ground against the Earth Federation Forces. You are Dirk Crocker, son of the practically legendary pilot Jake Crocker. It is Sunday morning and your blaring alarm clock reads 6:00 AM much to your displeasure.

Normally you like to sleep in on the weekends, but today is an exception. Last night you, your best friend Asemu and your sister Scarlet had a discussion on whether or not Akito Asuno was part of a mysterious group named “Leviathan” which you learned about while repairing an abandon and trashed Prototype Adele you found in a secluded area of the colony. After failing to find any information you and the others decided you were going to wiretap Akito’s house in Minsry to try and learn anything you can about “Leviathan”.

You put off finishing the Tapping modules last night so you’ll have to do that today, however as you lean up in bed and stare at your workbench, the familiar scent of your grandmother’s home cooking floods your nose.
What will you do Dirk? Finish the Tapping

Modules or have breakfast first?
>>
>>25158325
Breakfast, grandma is cooking.
>>
>>25158452
You decide to eat first. Grandma is a pretty good cook. At least she cooks something besides pancakes unlike Dad. Your convinced he has ether an addiction to pancakes or he never learned to cook anything else.

You climb out of bed and go downstairs in your boxers. The smell of bacon and eggs fill your nose as you walk into the dining room to see it full set, scrambled eggs, jellied toast, and bacon sitting on large plates in the center of the table, your grandmother and grandpa sitting down eating already.

"Morning Grandpa, morning Grandma" You say, rubbing your eyes and taking a seat.

"Morning Dear, have a busy day yesterday?" Your grandma asks, serving you up some food.

"Yeah, Asemu's party went on pretty late. We had a lot of fun" You rub your eyes and begin to dig in.

"I'm sorry we couldn't help set it up. We had to go to a funeral on Fairdain for an old friend. However we heard there was a Vagan attack on the colony yesterday. Do you know anything about it Dirk?" Your grandfather asks you.

What do you do Dirk? Lie? Tell the Truth? Something else?
>>
>>25158698
Tell them the truth.

After that, check out those tapping devices, and call dad to see if he found out anything about Leviathan. Tell him that Flit's kids are apparently part of the organization, and ask if Flit knows anything about them. Knowing Akito, he didn't even tell his parents about him joining some military organisation.
After that, call Mellis and ask her if she'd finally train us in our X-Rounder powers. We need to be at our best.
>>
>>25158698
Turn on every bit of sarcasm we can. "No, me and Scarlet saw explosions and attacking Vagan and decided to sit around twiddling our thumbs."

Turn off the sarcasm.

"Yes, we saw it happening, got into our not completely made Mobile Suits and did what we could to help people and take as many down as possible."

Give them the full story, include mentioning Akito and Leviathan.
>>
>>25158698
We've been honest with Dad, no reason to lie to our grandparents.

"Yeah, there were at least eight Vagan suits that I saw. Probably more, the attacking force retreated before we could go after a third squad. They were nasty. Upgraded armor, EM Fields as standard equipment, and they changed the self-destruct controls so eliminating the head didn't prevent a detonation. We managed to take them out, but they managed to blast a few MS teams and a bunch of factories in the industrial district. I just wish the Merlin was completed already so I didn't have to scavenge for weapons. Standard DODS Rifles aren't going to do it anymore, I think."
>>
>>25158325
Protip - post a link in your twitter to the thread next time you run.
>>
Oh cool I finally caught one of these quests.
So, do we have visual descriptions or pics of the Gawain or Merlin? I'm thinking about drawfaggin' up pics for them.
>>
>>25158950
(Oh crap. Thank you for the reminder. I can be pretty forgetful)

>>25158776
>>25158765

"No, me and Scarlet saw explosions and attacking Vagan and decided to sit around twiddling our thumbs." You say with a smile, causing your grandparents to raise eyebrows.

"Yes, we saw it happening, got into our incomplete Mobile Suits and did what we could. there were at least eight Vagan suits that I saw. Probably more, the attacking force retreated before we could go after a third squad. They were nasty. Upgraded armor, EM Fields as standard equipment, and they changed the self-destruct controls so eliminating the head didn't prevent a detonation. I just wish the Merlin was completed already so I didn't have to scavenge for weapons. Standard DODS Rifles aren't going to do it anymore, I think."

Your grandparents smile and nod. "You and your sister are just as brave as your father. I'm sure he'll be very proud of you when he hears about this."

"Don't forget Asemu, he fought with us." You add.

"He takes after Woolf. He may be adopted, but I'd swear up and down he was Woolf's blood and flesh" Your grandpa smiles.

"What I'm worried about is Akito and Yurika." You finish off your eggs and begin working down the last few pieces of bacon left on your plate. "He mouthed us off for saving lives, because he was part of some group called Leviathan..."

"Levithan? Huh I know that name but not the group." Your grandfather's eyes furrow. "Whoever they are didn't pick the name because they're kind and peaceful"

You thank your grandma and grandpa for the food and head back upstairs and get back to work on the tapping modules.

OK here you go:

Dirks' MS: Merlin Gundam (Dark Blue/Black)
Like the legendary wizard, the Merlin has plenty of tricks up its sleeves (and shoulders, and legs, and, well you get the idea). It has mounting and power connection points all over the MS, allowing mounting of anything from extra boosters, funnel packs, a MA module, to his secret (and highly experimental) weapons: a MA-scale Photon Cannon and a collapsible anti-ship/anti-colony Hyper-velocity Launcher. Frame mounted weapons are beam vulcans in the head. Arm-mounted weapons are modular as well, allowing for a Vagan beam vulcan saber, a 90mm tribarrel cannon, or a 2--tube missile launcher. Extra mounting points in the knees can hold heavy beam emitters.

Scarlet's MS: Gawain Gundam (Red/Gold)
Hard-hitting and fast, Scarlet learned a lot from her mother and 'Aunt' Rysis. High-powered hybrid thrusters are mounted on shoulders and legs of the Gawain to increase speed and maneuverability. The Gawain is fast enough that Scarlet must wear a specially developed G-suit to handle the strain the Gawain puts on her body. A prototype anti-funnel system is mounted in the torso. The system projects a field around the MS that interferes with communications and sensor equipment. While it can't yet disable funnels, it can reduce their performance when within 2 km of the Gawain. Mounted weapons include a railgun mounted in the overhanging 'head' comparable to the bullpup EM rifle in power, but cannot be reloaded in combat. Diffuse 'sand barrel' beam cannons are mounted on the shoulders. They are designed to deal with missiles and funnels, lacking the power to punch through EM Armor. Primary weapons are multi-function shields mounted on the forearms. They can function as beam sabers or heavy DODS Rifles. An experimental beam shield is also mounted within the shields. The beam shields produce a short-lived rectangular beam field strong enough to stop MS-grade weapons, both beam and kinetic. Power consumption and the risk the beam shields pose to the Gawain leave them as a last resort for the moment.

The devices aren't that hard to complete. Are an hour or so of soldering and testing you complete them. They should work fine, recording and feeding all outgoing and incoming messages back to your computer.

Your sister walks in just as you finish the modules.

"Are they ready?" She asks.

"Yep. There the best toasters I've ever made" You say with a smirk.

"If you were as smart as you were sarcastic you'd be a bloody genius"

"Who say's I'm not one already?" You lean back in your chair.

Scarlet sighs and shakes her head. "Whatever Genius. Just remember to meet me and Asemu back over at his hour in half an hour."

"Right" You let your sister leave and are left to you own devices.

What do you want to do Dirk? You have a half and hour of free time.
>>
>>25159474
Call Jake. Ask him if he found something out. Mention that Flit's kids are involved with Leviathan, and that he should call Flit about this.
And call mom and tell her that we're fucking ready for that X-Rounder training.
>>
>>25159474
If there's any work we can get done on getting Merlin/Gawain up and running we should probably do that. We want those working ASAP.

We might want to start trying out the X-Rounder stuff, because as much as we dislike it it's a tool, a powerful one, and Crockers use every tool at their disposal.
>>
>>25159545
Scarlet called Jake last night. But calling Mellis for advice on how to X-Round could be a good idea.
>>
>>25159629
Yeah, but I don't think she mentioned Flit's kids. And I doubt that even uncle Flit knows about his children being in league with not-Cerberus.
>>
Guys, I want some X-Rounder bullshite in our arsenal as much as the rest of you, but from a character standpoint there hasn't really been anything to rattle Dirk out of being uncomfortable with it just yet. The engagement with the Vagans went just fine without it, he's gonna need something to happen that makes it clear that he NEEDS to embrace it.
>>
>>25159851
Getting electrocuted and thrown around while your best friend and sister outdo you?
I'd rather get started as soon as we can so we can pull our own weight and not slow anybody down before somebody dies.
>>
>>25159851
Fair enough. Let's focus on getting the Merlin fully functioning, then. We shall solve our problems with engineering, not mind bullets.
>>
>>25159703
>>25159629
>>25159545
She mentioned Akito and Yurika from what you remember. He said he'd call if he had anything besides your need all the time you can to fix up the Merlin and Gawain.

>>25159921
>>25159610
You go out back to the work shop and look the two units over. Gawain has a couple of dents and nick, shouldn't take too long to fix. Merlin on the other hand, that electro-whip shorted out a couple dozen systems and it's sensors. It'll take a lot of work to fix it up.

You get the work finish in an hour, calling Asemu and Scarlet over to give you a hand so you can have your discussion and still get things done.

"OK so we're going to tap the Asuno mansion right? How are we going to get to Minsry?" Asemu asks.

"We'll take the Gundam's of course!" Scarlet states bluntly.

"During a colony wide state of alert? Yeah I'm sure the Colony Defense Forces will be real pleased with three unregistered mobile suits flying around between the colonies." Asemus shoots back. "Plus I think we should be discreate entering the colony. This is supposed to be a stealth mission right? Let's just take the Inter-Colony shuttle. It's fast, costs about as much as a cab and we can get in and get out fairly quickly."

"I don't know, I still say we should take the suits. What do you say Dirk?" Scarlet asks as she hands you a spare bundle of optic cables.
>>
>>25160382
"We take the suits we'll be noticed, as much as I like having them around if we take them we'll set off half a dozen alarms and give Akito reason to suspect we're up to something.

We could have one of us take an MS out for a spin while the other two go the clandestine route, that'll draw their attention away from us and as long as the one in the MS doesn't stray too close to the mansion they won't suspect a thing.
>>
>>25160340
>Huey Lewis & The News.
"There is an idea of a Desil Galette, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there. It is hard for me to make sense on any given level. Myself is fabricated, an aberration. I am a noncontingent human being. My personality is sketchy and unformed, my heartlessness goes deep and is persistent. My conscience, my pity, my hopes disappeared a long time ago (probably at Ambat) if they ever did exist. There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane, the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it, I have now surpassed. I still, though, hold on to one single bleak truth: no one is safe, nothing is redeemed. Yet I am blameless. Each model of human behavior must be assumed to have some validity. Is evil something you are? Or is it something you do? My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this—and I have countless times, in just about every act I’ve committed—and coming face-to-face with these truths, there is no catharsis. I gain no deeper knowledge about myself, no new understanding can be extracted from my telling. There has been no reason for me to tell you any of this. This confession has meant nothing."

>>25160382
"Do we have somebody who'd help us get over there undetected?"

"Good point" Asemu says with a smile, probably imagining the look on Akito's face if you stole his precious AGE-1, the machine he had mocked Asemu with for years.

"Alright, I guess I'm paying since I'm the only one with cash..." Scarlet looks between you two and both of you nod making her sigh.

"What's a good time for us to go?" Asemu asks you as you finish replacing the main camera.

Well Dirk? The shuttle runs day and night, what would be a good time to infiltrate the Mansion?
>>
>>25160582
Preferably when Akito and Yurika are out. Flit is hardly there, and Yurin will most likely believe any made-up story we give her about why we're there.
>>
>>25160582
"Might as well go this afternoon. I can claim I just felt like making a social call on Yurika if we need a cover."
>>
>>25160582
"We need a plan. No need to break in when we can get invited in."
"Scarlet. Call Yuriko, ask her if she'd like to hang out. Tell her that we're coming to Minsry because we need parts for our suits."
"While we're with her, we ask her to show us Flit's archives and notes on some suits we can use. While we're there, we bug the place."
"Better take MID and Haro with us, just in case."

"And wipe off those grins from your faces, I'm not going out with her."
>>
>>25160684
This sounds like a plan, although to make the "she is NOT my girlfriend" line work better, I think we should make the call.
>>
>>25160702
Agreed.
And we know she has a crush on Dirk. She's been dropping hints all over the place, but our hero apparently isn't interested or doesn't notice them.

On a serious note, could MID and Haro bug the place instead of us? We can tell them to play around while they're actually planting bugs.
I doubt that they'll be able to pull this off, but they're much less suspicious than either one of our terrific trio.
>>
>>25160748
He doesn't notice.
If a mecha protagonist isn't a hot-blooded manly man in the vein of Koji Kabuto, they will be so clueless with ladies as to make Shirou Emiya look like A Pimp Named Slickback.
>>
>>25160800
Roy Focker and Moritsugu Reiji seem to disagree.
>>
>>25160800
It's more to the tune of him being the tunnel-visioned genius engineer that often doesn't notice the obvious, and less to the tune of him being beta. He's not beta at all, he's just sort of clueless.
>>
>>25160684
Seconding this plan.
>>
>>25160800
Alternatively, Dirk could notice and just not know how to respond. When his dad was this age, the childhood friend who he had a crush on got kidnapped by mad scientists. I can see how growing up with stories of that might make him a bit wary of getting attached. Sure, it had a happy ending, but it easily could have gone much worse.
>>
>>25160828
>Roy Focker and Moritsugu Reiji
Neither is the main character of their respective series. If we're naming secondary characters who fall outside that rule, there's also Sleggar "ten-inch-cock" Law.
>>25160833
Being clueless doesn't make you beta though. Dirk is clueless in the vein of Sousuke "I had to have flirting explained to me" Sagara. It just doesn't fall into his area of interest so he doesn't even realize it exists.
>>
>>25160882
"What's flirting? Is it a new engineering development?"

And Scarlet of course knows exactly what it is but finds it funny that Dirk is clueless.
>>
>>25160932
He has space internet, so his cluelessness couldn't be that pronounced.
>>
>>25160869
I guess it can be both.
He doesn't notice the more subtle hints because he's too focused on his work, and he doesn't know how to respond to the more obvious ones.
So he acts cool because he doesn't know what to do, and he doesn't want to insult her in any way.

But considering how often she bugs him, it's hard not to notice her interest in him - which everybody has noticed.
Of course, she'd deny anything while blushing and getting incredibly shy out of a sudden.
>>
>>25160965
Maybe he's just doing it on purpose for the lulz. Dirk the Trolling Mad Scientist.

"Suuuuure, and I'm sure Yurika is on speed dial because she helps you with a class at school"

"History thank you very much" You say crossing your arms as Asemu collects Haro and MID. "We can have them place the bugs while I set set up monitoring modules on their internet and phone lines" You say, passing a bag of bugs to Asemu.

"Clever. So we have the bugs, the tapping modules, what else should be we bring?" Asemu asks, hiding the bugs in Haro's maw.

Well Dirk? Anything else you wish to bring just in case or are you ready to leave now?
>>
>>25161008
So, uh, chances of Dirk using the "data" he collects to see what Yuriko likes and is into?

We're eventually upgrading these suckers, right?

Logically, these will be their mid-season Upgrades:

For the Merlin: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/MSA-0011(Ext)_Ex-S_Gundam (To further expand on his X-Rounder capabilities, while keeping with the modular design of the S Gundam)

For the Gawain: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/MSN-001_Delta_Gundam (Basically, simplify and lighten the design, while giving it something that'll pretty much allow her to ignore beam weaponry while looking ass flashy as possible. Scarlet likes things flashy, right?)
>>
>>25161178
>as flashy as possible

>>
>>25161178
"I don't know Dirk, don't you think it's a little ostentatious?"
"What was I thinking? You're usually so discreet."
"Tell you what. Throw a little hotrod red in there."
"Yes, that should help you keep a low profile."
>>
>>25161264
I never got why anti-beam coating had to be that color. It's an ablative coating, not a reflective one. Putting a layer of red over it wouldn't reduce its capabilities. It's not like that wasn't already established as Quattro's color scheme. Keeping it gold didn't really help anything, there.

Maybe the Delta Kai for the Gawain's upgrade? http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/MSN-001X_Gundam_Delta_Kai This seems a little better. The NITRO System could be damn useful as well. The tech needed for it should be available by mid--season as well.
>>
>>25161378
Could work, provided they figure out how to replicate the effects of the Mu-szell without the negative side-effects.

But I doubt Scarlet would be the kind of person to pretend to be something she's not, so I doubt she'd want to make something that would make her seem like an X-Rounder.
>>
>>25161446
Maybe Asemu would use it instead, if he doesn't end up jacking the AGE-2 somehow. Or maybe a Delta Gundam with some of the Delta Kai's weapons. The Long Mega Buster could come in handy, along with the other shield-attached weapons.
>>
>>25161378
I'm not sure I want to mess around with the Psychomet. It's less dangerous in second gen, but it still has some nasty side effects. Maybe the increased rate of X-Rounder research we've gotten in this timeline will allow us to deal with the health problems, but I don't think it will be worth it. Besides, I want to humiliate Zeheart at some point by out-flying him as an ordinary human. Scarlet has a red color scheme, a fast machine and a penchant for kicking. Who better to beat the local Char at his own game?
>>
>>25161335
No, that one will be called the Lilith Gundam.
>>
>>25161514
>out-flying him as an ordinary human
The technical term is "Super Pilot", thank you very much.
>>
>>25161514
It's gonna be Jake.
Zeheart begins talking shit, Jake smacks him around without breaking a sweat, possibly while giving a "why you suck" speech that breaks him before gen-3.
>>
>>25161504
But Asemu in this timeline not only dislikes X-Rounders, but he's been raised by the original "SUPAH PILOTTO", Woolf Enneacle.

I doubt he'd want to pilot something that'd make him like an X-Rounder.

But then again... Scarlet COULD make it for him in the event his regular MS gets totalled, while she gets the Delta Gundam expy, and he blows up on her and makes her cry.

Come next battle Scarlet is getting her ass handed to her and who comes in to save her? Asemu in the Gundam she made for him. Apologies are exchanged, and thus the greatest Mobile Suit Battle Couple is born.

>>
>>25161607
Better yet, hold off on his return for the next Gen, when he is SUPAH PIRATTO.
>>
>>25161607
I could get behind that idea.

But I think that the Delta Kai's NITRO system can be activated at will, meaning Asemu could only activate it if he wanted to.

Then, we'd have to make it considering the fact we're making it for a Non-X-Rounder, so maybe make the Fin Funnels multi-function? Make them so they function like SEED's Computer-guided DRAGOONS, or act as beam cannons while they're still attached to the suit, or while NITRO is active, like actual funnels.

(You have an AGE Builder of your own, it's just you don't have supplies to use it at the moment)
>>25161065
You pack a bag with computer stuff, some books. Nothing suspicious, just useful in case you get caught you can use it to claim your there to study with Yurika. You spend the waiting time fixing up the Gundam's and leave when it's about time.

"Alright, let's do this" You say, shouldering your duffle bag.
----

The trip to Minsry is a quick and uneventful. You arrive in the colony apparently unnoticed. Minsry hasn't changed to much. A little more populated, happier, richer, but still as wild and earth-like as can be.

You, Asemu and Scarlet make your way through the forest and find your way to the Asuno's mansion.

"Alright how are we going to do this?" Scarlet asks as you all crouch in the bushes.

How do you want to proceed Dirk? Sneak inside? Go through the front door? Call ahead? Something else?
>>
>>25161728
We'll go and knock, see who's there currently, we'll adjust the plan on seeing if we sneak the others in or have them come in normally.
>>
>>25161728
Call ahead. Let Scarlet talk to her, ask her if she'd like us to come over and hang out for a bit.
Say how Dirk is with us, and he'd like to check up on some suit schematics for our totaled suits.
Flit is home and this is his first time seeing his son Asemu face to face.
>>
>>25161672
Perhaps we should have Asemu's completed mobile suit be able to dock with the Gawain's mobile armor mode. That way we can have the whole "Sayla and Amuro in the G-Armor" thing. Though I guess it would be more like the Arios and GN Archer. Still, the idea of a battle couple being able to combine their machines is an endearing one.
>>
>>25161728
Call ahead. It's entirely appropriate and not at all suspicious for us to want to talk to our friend Yurika after the events of last night. No need for subterfuge when we can get in legitimately.

As an aside, how many AGE Builders are there right now? I can't imagine the one on board the Camelot was removed so that Jake's kids could use it for their senior design project. Did Flit realize that spreading AGE technology around a bit would help the war effort and let Jake make more copies?
>>
>>25161607
Jake and Mellis are the greatest battle couple in AGE. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
>>
>>25161896
I kind of liked Fram and Zeheart, honestly. It's nice to see a battle couple on the villain's side every so often.
>>
>>25161888
I guess we should get on creating more AGE builder copies for our military.
Maybe dumbed down versions, but that are still capable of producing parts and weapons based on the received combat data, as well as functioning as mini photon cannons.
Because seriously, it's ridiculously stupid to only have one of those things in existence.

>>25161919
Oh yeah, they were interesting. Who knows, maybe we win them over to our side.
I guess Fram is alive and around Zeheart's age at the moment, so we could easily get another battle couple to our list of allies.

I think that was Jake's and Flit's instructor once they enrolled in the military academy. He and Thomas Magnum, Jack's old friend.
They're probably going to be around for their kids as well.
> "Oh, you're Jake's kid? Great pilot. Great engineer. Blew up a space station so he could impress his girlfriend."
>>
>>25161888
There are Three AGE Builders. One at the Asuno Household. One aboard the Camelot and one at Jake's House. Flit and Jake agreed that mass producing the AGE Builder was too risky, if the Vagan's got ahold of the tech, one mass produced the Federation would be crushed in no time with there already advanced technology.

>>25161782
>>25161766
You have Scarlet call ahead and talk with Yurika. They chat for a couple minutes before Scarlet ends the call.

"Akito, Yurin and Yurika are home. Flit isn't do home until Monday" Scarlet explains.

"Akito might be suspicious if we wander around. Yurin and Yurika should be fine." Asemu sighs. "Damn if only we wasn't here..." Asemu mutters.

Akito is in the house. It's possible he may interfere or outright try to stop her bugging/tapping operation or any investigation for that matter if he's even remotely suspicious. Haro and MID should be fine, but you need to get into the basement to install the tapping modules and the last time you checked there wasn't anything down there besides junk and cobwebs, the wreck room is upstairs...

Any stage of plans Dirk? Just walk in and work with what you have, or do you have another idea?
>>

>>
>>25162253
Hmm, are there any back doors to the house or anything like that.

What we might need to do is set one person, probably Scarlet on dealing with Akito and keeping his stupid face distracted.

While they're distracted Asemu keeps Yurin and Yurika busy and that leaves Dirk free to wander a bit, look like a lost geek, play with engineering stuff and sneak downstairs to bug things.
>>
>>25162353
We're not here to start shit. They would never let us back in if we pull that off.
Better to have Dirk and Akito leave the house and have a "man, you've changed a lot since we were kids" talk, while we check out parts for our suits, discuss schematics, swap ideas and act like two friends who are trying to reconnect.
Scarlet can keep Yurin busy, while Yurika is probably going to bug Asemu about his new suit because she's so curious about everything, and MID and Haro can play around the house and place the bugs.

We have installed self-destruct sequences in the bugs in case something goes wrong, right?
>>
>>25162253
I think we can have Scarlet duel Akito again in the MS simulator. Convince him that it's a "rematch".
>>
>>25162456
You've got a point there. Still, there's no way we can let that go. Akito needs a good kick in the nuts or two. Otherwise we might have to kill him later. I think Flit, Yurin, and Yurika would like that even less.
>>
>>25162253
>There are Three AGE Builders

Even without mass production, you'd think there's be more than three. We don't have to leave them just everywhere. One at Big Ring, one at Rostroulan, a few others at guarded locations. I mean, a military base has to be a safer place to put the thing than Flit's and Jake's back yards.
>>
>>25162610
Maybe those are just the AGE Builders we know about, and there are well-hidden ones in other locations. Though that would have the implication that the Leviathans might have stolen one for their own use.
>>
>>25162604
That's why I suggested that we talk to the douche. Maybe he's not such a bad guy and this is all an act to impress and outdo his father.
As for a blow to his ego, I guess he'll get his ass handed to him over and over and over again by Zeheart, who considers him so much beneath him that he won't finish him.
Or someone he cares about gets harmed because of him and his stupid ego.

>>25162610
We need to pimp out the Big Ring eventually. Probably after Flit becomes supreme commander.
A couple of photon cannons would be bitching.

Well, technically there are four if Treasure Star happened in this variation of the timeline.
>>
>>25162807
Which is odd, seeing as according to Treasure Star it's easy enough to reverse engineer a AGE-1 and AGE Builder from the Adele that a regular pilot can do it.
>>
>>25162628
Leviathan is going to turn out to be some ancient conspiracy from before the Colony Wars, isn't it?
They've fucked over the Feds, turning them into a bureaucratic corrupted system so that they can stay in control, they decided to destroy the Vagans because it was the quickest way to place their pawn as the leader of the survivors, and so on and on and on.
>>
>>25162834
I always did think that Ezelcant's story never really made much sense. Not the "my son died, so I have decided to play eugenicist" bit. That's acceptably plausible. But the matter that he was one of the last colonists to come to the Mars Sphere, and just happened to have access to the EXA-DB? Seems a bit weird.

Also, why has his wife not aged? Was it established that she was in cryostasis and just don't remember that part? Because seriously, she has to be at least fifty years older than she looks to be. What's up with that?
>>
>>25162914
I'd say lazy writers. That's why we're here, to redo AGE properly.

But yeah, he doesn't make a lot of sense.
He rules from cryosleep while his wife doesn't age at all. Maybe she gets in a pod along with him, and awakens just before he does to set things up for his arrival.
He's older than dirt, the most powerful X-Rounder, has access to a small part of the EXA-DB, comes from out of nowhere and establishes a cult of personality.
Not even getting into him not understanding how humanity and social Darwinism works.
>>
>>25163025
Okay, baseless brainstorming time: We know that cyborgs in this AU don't age considerably. What if Doreen is Ezelcant's handler? A cybernetic agent placed there by the shadow conspiracy that gave him his starting resources and mission. Unfortunately, she's developed genuine feelings for him, which is preventing her from curtailing his more insane schemes and keeping him in line with the scheme.
>>
>>25163181
That, and they let him run with his little war simply so they can make more money and expand their influence due to the conflict.
Kinda like Cerberus from Mass Effect, just combined with the Technocracy and SEELE.

Whose weapons is everybody using? Theirs. Whose ships? Theirs. Who makes everything for everybody? They do.
They run the show, and the few pieces they don't control are going to be removed in the coming conflict.

"How do you expect me to keep Dickbutt busy?" Scarlet asks with a dissatisfied look.

"Easy." You say with a smile. "Rematch"

"Ah, that should keep him busy. Yurika will be too busy asking Asemu back his Proto-Adele to do anything else" Scarlet says, elbowing Asemu.

"As long as I don't have to deal with Akito, I'll be cool" Asemu gives a thumbs up and your ready to go.

Asemu and Scarlet head for the front door while you creep around back...

Will try harder in future.

No.

I like a little crazy as much as the next guy, but Mari isn't "a little" crazy, she's fucking INSANE. Like, fat bitch from Misery crazy.

You smile and give the two a thumbs up, then leave not really all that upset. Your sure Asemu has it out for Romary anyway, so your probably fine. But your pretty sure the Akito wouldn't be too happy about this though, he's never liked Zeheart.

Returning to the mansion you find that MID and Haro have finished planting all of the bugs and are playing in a hall far, far away from Akito who can be heard audibly raging at Scarlet in the living room.

What do you want to do now Dirk? Your mission is complete and it's 8:45 PM.
>>
>>25165783
u wot?
She's the most stable pilot to ever get in an Eva.
>>
>>25165801
Technically Touji was a pilot. For about thirty seconds before Bardiel took over, but he still counts.
>>
>>25165791
Check out Asemu, our bro. Let him in on the news.
Notice how it's weird that Zeheart is here, but you didn't see him on the shuttle ride.
>>

Oh wow, Jerid is going to shoot Four again.

>>
>>25165817
I stand by my previous statement.
>>
>>25165791
Go check on our Sister, enjoy the sweet sweet fruits of Akito raging.

If she's not busy give her a hug and if possible whisper that we dealt with the bugs.
>>
Wait, do we (Dirk) like Zeheart at all, or do we find him somewhat unsettling like everyone else minus Yurika does?

If we don't really like him all that much, next time we catch him, we sit him down, have a nice civil discussion with him, and then we make it clear to him that the moment he breaks Yurika's heart, we will be on his ass like a Goo Bomb on a Mobile Suit's sensors.
>>
>>25165844
It doesn't have to be an exact replica of her, you know. In this universe, she's sane.. but quirky.
Then again, we grew up with Jake, so that doesn't bother us.

>>25165892
I guess we're a little wary of him, mostly because we sense he's a X-Rounder, and that he looks so familiar to someone.
But otherwise, we're friendly with him, if a bit cold. He's Asemu's friend and our acquaintance, so we don't really care about him.
>>
>>25165892
It was established from Scarlet's POV that both Asemu and Dirk think Zeheart is pretty cool. Or at least she thinks they do.
>>
>>25165844
How is she not?
She can shoot straight, sync with two Evas, and doesn't seem to have the same psychological issues as everyone else.
Hell, she was listening to music in the first scene.
>>
>>25165969

So she's really more like Ninamori.
And THAT I can get behind. Because Ninamori was best girl.
>>25165969
>listening to music
If by that you mean singing a children's song while riding into battle. She's a blood thirsty psycho. She doesn't freak out at every little thing like the rest of hte Eva cast, but she's still not sane by any stretch of the imagination.
>>
>>25165988
She is too laid-back to be maladjusted.
>>
>>25165892
I think we're cool with him, but we should totally do this anyway.
>>

>>

She's not sane, agreed on that. None of the EVA cast is.
But this is not EVA.

These are the Marvelous Adventures of Jake Crocker.

You think Zeheart's OK. He's a little odd, maybe a little too nosy and always disappearing, but he seems like an OK dude. Quiet, contemplative but your a little cautious of him. Even with your glasses on you can feel he's an X-Rounder and that's definitely an accomplishment, you can't even feel Mom's X-Rounder pressure with these things on.

>>25165944
You go in an watch Dirk get his ass get tag teamed by Asemu and Scarlet, Dirk calling them every dirty word in the book, losing 13 to 100 after a 1 hour game. It was delicious to see Akito so red in the face.

After it's all said and done, Akito marches upstairs and slams his bedroom door.

"You'll have to forgive him, he's somewhat of a poor loser" Mrs. Asuno says as she enters the room. "He only really wants to impress his father, he's always felt so neglected by him" She lets out a heavy sigh before smiling at you.

"Will you be staying much longer?"

Asemu and Scarlet shrug, looking at you.

Well Dirk? It's 10:00 PM, what do you want to do?
>>
>>25166133
She voluntarily triggered a function which is essentially Berserker at will. She gets off on the smell of LCL, basically equivalent to if you met a girl who gets off to the smell of burning cordite. She's not traditional Eva "I hate the fucking world but most of all I hate myself" nuts, but she's still crazy. She's like Chinatsu, from Jormungand.
>>
>>25166153
"No, thanks, Mrs Asuno, we don't want to bother you."
"It was nice seeing you again, it's been quite a while. I guess we could have a good old gathering once everybody has some free time."
>>
>>25166153
"I should go."
>>
>>25166153
"I wish I could, but I've got to get home. I have some things I have to take care of."

Give Yurin a hug.

"You know, I always looked up to my father, he's as much as hero as Flit was, but I've never wanted to be the next him or felt like I needed to impress him.

I guess I'm just lucky."
>>
>>25166204
But burning Cordite smells good.
Or rather, modern smokeless propellants. Cordite is a bit too old for me.
>>
>>25166273
Oh I love that smell, but if I met a girl who literally gets off on it, like the smell of gunfire causes actual physical arousal, I'd be more than a little bit wary around her. Reacting to the adrenaline rush and getting a bit frisky is one thing, getting moist whenever you smell it on the other hand...
>>
>>25166153
"Oh, we couldn't impose on you like that. It's getting late. Thank you for welcoming me into your home. Say goodbye to Yurika for me when you see her, I don't think I'll get a chance to see her before we leave."
>>
>>25166213
>>25166309
"No, thanks, Mrs Asuno, we don't want to bother you. It was nice seeing you again, it's been quite a while. I guess we could have a good old gathering once everybody has some free time." You say, giving Mrs. Asuno a big hug.

"Oh, how sweet. You guys can come over anytime you want or need too, OK?" Mrs. Asuno says, pinching your cheek.

"Thanks! Could you say goodbye to Yurika for me when you see her, I don't think I'll get a chance to see her before we leave." You pick up your duffle bag and head to the door with Asemu and Scarlet.

"Alright, I will. Have a wonderful night!" Mrs. Asuno waves you goodbye.

---------
You return back to Minsry and Asemu goes back home. Scarlet calls and informs him of what's going on while you take a shower and go to bed, you have school tommorow UGH.

As you drift off to sleep a message appears on your computer from the tappers a nearly untraceable message...

"YOUR REPORT WAS SATISFACTORY. THE RED SUIT IS MOST LIKELY EQUIPPED WITH A PORTABLE INVISIBLE UMBRELLA SYSTEM. THE RED SUIT IS STILL IN THE COLONY, SUGGESTING THERE ARE VAGAN SPIES IN YOUR MIDST. THE RISE OF LEVIATHAN MUST NOT BE HINDERED. YOU HAVE FULL CLEARANCE TO ELIMINATE ANYONE SUSPECTED OF BEING A VAGAN SPY. FOR THE GLORY OF THE EARTH AGENT AKITO. SUPREME COMMANDER GRODEK WILL BE AWAITING WORD ON YOU SUCCESS"

Oh, that is amazing, man. Looks kind of like something you'd see in an SRW game. I love the little AGE symbols on the chest and horns. That's a neat touch. Not to say the entire thing isn't excellent. Definitely looks like a high-speed custom mecha for a badass pilot.

And the head railgun comes from the fact that the original proposal was accompanied by a pic of the Penelope Gundam, not the Delta. The railgun was justification for the binder over the Penelope's head that forms its prow in MA form.
>>
>>25166505
No, sadly. Drawing this took me over five hours (with occasional snack-breaks)- I couldn't even get started doing a rough-draft for the Merlin.

The one that blew up?

Of course, he can draw what he wants. I'm just throwing out suggestions for more pertinent designs.
Besides, no one (except you) knows what Jake is piloting these days. Of course he keeps the Crusader battle-ready, but Jake is the kind of guy to experiment and improve on things.

He's dual wielding excalibuster to become the double king.

The King Arthur is a large mobile armor module similar to a cross between the GP03 Dendproium and the GN Arms from Gundam 00.

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121114195230/gundam/images/9/98/RX-78GP03(GUNDAM_GP03_DENDROBIUM)_front.jpg

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110211235254/gundam/images/6/66/Gnr-001d.jpg

The Chimera Crusader slides into it in the prone position, with various storage containers for weapons and ammo built into the front for easy access. Missile Launcher line the back of the machine and large, powerful plasma engines rest at the rear. A powerful Meta Beam Launcher ( http://images.wikia.com/gundam/images/3/37/63768765RS32.jpg ) fixed to the right side and a large, hefty and rather heat-sensative EM field generator is fixed to the left side of the machine. An experimental Microwave Cannon is attached to the underbelly.

The Chimera Crusader itself is the regular AGE-X Crusader Gundam *Pic related* with a 'cowl' wear attached to it. The wear is based off the Vagan Mobile suits, giving the Crusader a tail that can mount handheld weapons, beam vulcans/beam sabers on the forearms and numerous light propulsion vierners/thrusters dotting it's body.

That's there descriptions. If you can get them done/want to to do them, then that's great! Good night everyone!
