After a long five days of hunting, you return to your castle, what remains of Nalus' servants in tow. Scarlet greets you personally at the Ulvenwald door.

"Welcome back, Lady Markova. How did the hunting trip go?"

You smile at her with all your pointed teeth.

"Very well, Scarlet, but Nalus was not the culprit. We'll have to look further afield."

Scarlet frowns and nods.

"Lady Markova, while you were out, Sophia attempted to escape. She was… rather insistent, and damaged a few of the castle guard as she was being dragged back to her cell. Rest assured that she has been rendered incapable of any further attempts at flight… and if you wish, I think I have an idea for what to do with her in the long run, should you not wish to deal with her yourself. Aside from that, I also note that your hunting party has sustained some losses; I would recommend bringing the castle guard and Pack back to full strength using the chattel you've brought with you."

> Your task list:
> What will you do with the captured mage and the other chattel?
> What about Sophia? Will you let Scarlet fleshcraft her, or do it yourself?
> Do you want to redecorate the castle more opulently as a gesture of thanks for its service?
> When your first airship is ready in two days, what will you do with it?
> Do you want to devote any time to finding Ahote's tribe?
> Do you wish to sponsor revolution in Grand Victoria at this time?
> Nalus was not the vampire you wanted. What are you going to do about it?
>>

You are Isabella Katarina Markova, twelfth of the line of Carmilla, thirteen generations from Dracula, the First. This places you with enough blood and power to make you a minor noble in Shadescast, the city of vampires, and possess your own castle- which does not necessarily have normal geometry, and which is not always in the same place. Though your physical appearance is that of a young girl, you are actually three and a half centuries old.

You spend your time responding to requests from other vampires for lore, and holding tea parties and other social events, both with humans and vampires. On occasion, you indulge in adding one or two of them to your collection of porcelain dolls...

Recently, you were attacked by a human vampire hunter who managed to temporarily kill you. Upon rising from death, you turned him into your faithful hound... but first he managed to majorly deface your castle and burn a portion of your library, including some hard-to-replace texts. Signs point to him having been hired by a rival vampire... one who was here, and took one of your dolls. Your first suspect wasn't the culprit… but that didn't stop you from eating him.

You have turned the Mayor of Mark into your soft, gooey servant. This is useful to you due to your airship yard there, which you got for a song off of a fellow vampiric noble by the name of Blackford. The deal took a little screaming at the foreman, but once it was sorted out, you returned to your castle…

Which was when you found that one of your servants had disappeared. Fortunately, Scarlet, one of your Dolls' creations, dragged her back to the Castle for you. In return, Scarlet was given the girl as her maid.

Five minutes later, you almost ate Scarlet after taking backlash from a failed scrying attempt.

Since then, your head maid attempted to assassinate you with cutlery and is being held for experimentation on, and you have taken an enemy vampire's fief by the old tradition of murder.

It's getting harder and harder to fit the story-so-far into 2,000 characters. So here's the archive of past threads:

>>25330161
I say we start feeding her blood and slowly remaking her. Maybe we could turn her into an agent completely undetectable even by inquisitors. Once our airship factory takes off we might need such people/
>>
>>25330258
Let's do this in order to minimize confusion.

So

> Chattel and mage, what do?
>>
>>25330374
Use chattel to reform our ranks. Save the mage for special fleshcrafting. If I recall they're premium grade ingredients.
>>
We should hear Scarlet's plan for Sophia. Always handy to have a Plan B.
>>
>>25330374

Depends if we could keep the mages magic abilities Flesh craft. If we can't ghoul.

>>25330258
Sophia I saw we go full ghoul. Mainly because it would be nice to have a normal strong willed human who can move around with 0 chances of being noticed and won't get fucked by holy magic.

>Valk merc quest, This quest, and blood and iron is on at once. Jesus.
>>
>>25330474
that's more a plan C.

we currently have 2 semi-conflicting plans. either A: flesh craft her into something else. or B: make her a ghoul.

personally, I'm for option B
>>
>>25330544
I just don't know that we -need- more fleshcrafted abominations. Plus after all the trouble she's caused it seems way too easy.

>>25330374
Everybody for saving the mage for later use and turning the rest into hounds/guards?
>>
>>25330544
but do we have a Plan Z?
>>
>>25330405
IIRC, Scarlet primarily focuses on Eeriness for her abilities. The mage might help her power up, if she wants it. We would probably also want to fix her death aversion thing at the same time.
>>
>>25330591
If nobody objects I'll go with this.
Sophia's ghoul/fleshcraft materials status is up next.
>>
>>25330619
The zombie holocaust protocols? That was just a stupid idea we were obsessed with in our early hundreds. Those were some pretty embarrassing times really.
>>
>I'm awake and not at the office for a Vampire Doll Quest thread
Hail Satan!
>>
>>25330591
trust me, I agree with you that we don't need too many fleshcrafted abominations.

also, I'm for saving the mage and using the rest to restore our ranks.
>>
>>25330629
I wonder if Scarlet is effected by the SOUND of death as well. If not, we could train her to fight with a blindfold on.
>>
>>25330591

>I just don't know that we -need- more fleshcrafted abominations.

Could always use more. But we need more subtle servants too. Even our most easy to hide abomantion has like a 1/10 chance of being spotted and using someone strong willed for parts even though would could just gank a gang member seems odd.

That and I think she would be a little ticked at her and would rather her suffer then just mind control her with crafting.
>>
>>25330700
indeed. she'll hate us even more, but she'll have no choice but to be loyal.

it's glorious
>>
>>25330698
If she can percieve it, it affects her. If she kills someone personally, it ALWAYS affects her.
>>
>>25330161
>Do you wish to sponsor revolution in Grand Victoria at this time?
Ah the glorious worker's revolution! By throwing off the chains of the Church, the common man will finally be free (and the hidden vampire will no longer need to fear their witch hunters...)

What was the name of our ambitious guy, Maxwell? I think he'd be perfect for this role. We should probably make him a ghoul first though, ensure that bond of loyalty.
>>
You nod to Scarlet and let her direct the chattel to the dollhouse, where the Dolls will weave them into new Hounds and Soldiers for your guard. The Mage, however, will be kept separate for you to deal with at your leisure.
>>
>>25330815
Fuck yeah. Seconding with the force of thousand suns.

Maxwell will be our carefully controlled Marx.
>>
>>25330815
Maxwell, yes. He's currently training under your butler.
>>
>>25330846
What happens if the authorities capture Snackwell though and interrogate him? His main character trait is that he'll do -anything- to save himself. Gotta be careful with this.

>>25330846
>Maxwell will be our carefully controlled Marx.
200 years later, people will be posting memes on /pol/ about how vampires are behind all the conspiracies.

"I bet the vampires did this."
>>
>>25330867
Butler? We already have one...

We need to see if he is smart enough to develop his own pro-worker political ideology. If yes, let's ghoul-ify him and instruct him to ferment revolution in Grand Victoria. If not, he should start on that by looking at some of our books on the subject (I am assuming here that our library is filled with an ungodly amount of information on everything given our reclusive and information-broker history)

>>25330916
That's why we're creating the bond through blood.
>>
>>25330916
Then we denounce him and claim he was plotting against us,

"My butler was trying to organize the workers at my factory to start a revolution?! This is horrible! Execute him at once!"
>>
>>25330965
You did, indeed, have a lot of books on the subject.

Unfortunately, they were all burnt by the Hunter who started this whole mess.
>>
>>25331082
Bah! Can we attempt to write a quick summary of the most important points that Maxwell would need from memory?

Anyway thinking we should ghoul sophia. Go buy some things or build some things for our castle.

Use the blood from Ahote to search for his tribe making sure we stick some anti-mind blasting spells in there.

Revolution is a little to early after all we don't have that much influence in the big scheme so far.
>>
>>25331360
now then, shall we attend to the matter of Sophia?
>>
>>25331399
Yes, shall we?
>>
>>25331415
Sounds like a plan.
>>
>>25331360
Oh yeah...we probably don't want this linked back to us.

What's next on the list, deciding what to do with Sophia? I honestly don't understand people's fascination with her, she is a rather mundane individual.

Give her to the dolls to torture, yet not kill, until the monsters of reality are nothing compared to the ones she see's whenever she closes her eyes.
>>
>>25331415
We will love and cuddle the shit out of her.
>>
>>25331431
> Ghoul, or fleshcraft?
> Last thread was slightly more in favor of Fleshcraft, so if I see that here as well I may be inclined to just pick it to move the thread along.
>>
>>25331415
Ask Scarlet what her plan is first.
>>
>>25331468
Oh, or dominate.
Or subtle mindcuddle.
>>
>>25331468
I'd personally prefer Ghoul. Having an agent who can't be detected easily would be could. If we fleshcraft her make it the subtlest fleshcraft possible.
>>
>>25331468
I say we ghoulify her. We should make a servant who is COMPLETELY undetectable even to inquisitors. As our airship business takes off we will need people capable of dealing with the authorities.
>>
>>25331468
I still am with the fleshcrafting crowd.

If I remember correctly we wanted to turn into some sort of assassin if memory serves.
>>
>>25331475
"What exactly would you do with Sophia, Scarlet?"

She smiles.

"Well, I need someone to... practice my craft on, as it were. Sophia is an ideal subject. I'd love to try out some ideas of mine using her as a test subject- all theoretical right now, of course."
>>
>>25331468
I'm for ghoul.
>>
>>25331546
Three for ghoul, one for fleshcraft.
>>
>>25331534
"And what ideas would that be?

I do have some need of an agent who while above the chattel in ability and form can effortlessly blend in as one of them. I can hardly take the Hounds out in public as it were."
>>
>>25331534
"Assuming your theories proved correct, dear Scarlet, what would become of Sophia?"
>>
>>25331508
I'm more for 'eternal torture', but since that doesn't have support, I'll throw my vote behind fleshcraft as well.

Why ghoulify her, she's not that strong, smart or indeed, special.
>>
>>25331534
as interesting as that sounds, I don't think Sophia is a good "test" subject. still for ghouling.
>>
>>25331583
she did pretty well in roughing us up a little and breaking our Domination through sheer willpower
>>
>>25331574
>>25331576

Scarlet frowns.

"Well... That's the thing. I want to experiment. There are many possible paths that could be taken. And besides... I would like to surprise you, Milady. Though of course if you wish for an assassin, I can certainly focus my talents in that area."
>>
>>25331610
So what, you're thinking assassin?

Quick-witted, stealthy and resistant to torture if captured?
>>
>>25331622
"An assassin is exactly what I would like from our little Sophia. I think she could be quite good at it.

Be sure to let me know when you get to it, I do so wish to see you work."
>>
>>25331583

Has enough willpower to snap our domination. Once we get control of her via ghouling we know she won't be easy to control given she did that to like 55 magic vamp. She also can avoid any hints if we torture her into following us. She keeps her own mind so our vampire here can enjoy her pain from almost stabbing us in the face.
>>
>>25331633
more like bodyguard for when we go out amongst humans. can pass for human perfectly, since she kinda still is one, won't be affected by holy magic, and will be loyal to us because she wants our blood.
>>
>>25331622
>Though of course if you wish for an assassin, I can certainly focus my talents in that area."
"Nothing would please me more." *hugs*
>>
>>25331691
ah, but if she becomes a ghoul, she will be addicted to our blood. and if we feel displeased with her, we can just not give her some blood for a few days. withdrawl can be real torture.
>>
>>25331698
We have the huntsman for a bodyguard in Mark. I'm more worried that when we start making big moves there we'll have to deal directly with and get vetted by the inquisition. Having a servant that doesn't scream "demonic blood puppet" would be a big boon there.

Plus this way we get to keep messing with her.
>>
>>25331622
If we go down that route, what kind of assassin are we going to make? Corvo (from Dishonored) type: Is like a phantom, no guards spotting them, kills the target, then leaves as everyone panics. Or Artyom (from the Metro series) type: Steath-kills EVERYONE in the base.
>>
>>25331759
hm... how about ghouling AND torture?
>>
>>25331758
As I said yesterday, the symptoms of blood withdrawal are:

Shivering, cold sweat, cravings, increased appetite, convulsions, hallucinations, cyanosis, trying to eat other people, eating yourself, death.

In ascending order of severity, of course.

Ghouls (people who drink vampire blood) eventually become intensely dependent on the substance, and often codependent on their supplier.
>>
>>25331698
Even if she is addicted to our blood, I wouldn't trust her as our bodyguard for quite a while.

If we do make her a ghoul, lets give her a taste and then starve her for a few days right off the bat. Give her a taste of what withdrawal is like early so she doesn't get any ideas.

Can Scarlet fleshcraft her in minor ways, so that she retains 99% of her normal form and mind; while also making her a better assassin?
>>
>>25331622
Actually we should let Scarlet experiment a little.
While a assassin would be nice we might get something much better from her.
>>
>>25331787
Given Sohpia's personality...Artyom style, haha.

Death everywhere, but silent death.
>>
>>25331871

3 for Ghouling

>>
>>25331894

>>
>>25331924

>>
>>25331987

>>25331976
Looks like it's settled. So, feed Sophia blood and then turn her over to Scarlet to fleshcraft? Or would you like to handle this personally?
>>
>>25332035
Give her to Scarlet, but supervise, watch, advise, and educate as Scarlet does her thing.
>>
>>25332035
Given that the modifications must be minor, we'll handle this one.

Tell her we'll provide her with a true test subject soon, maybe the captured mage.
>>
Can Scarlet use our personal fleshcrafting room. Let us give her the best and see what she creates. If need be we can always jump in and help
>>
>>25332035
Let's see what Scarlet can do.

I was voting to kill Sophia a few threads ago, so even if Scarlet fucks it up, there's no real loss.
>>
>>25332035
Personally. We can mock her while we do some minor crafting and we are more skilled anyway. Though we will want to get some people for scarlet to surprise us with later.
>>
>>25332035
Can we fleshcraft a Russian accent onto Sophia? I must know. F-for research purposes, of coarse.
>>
>>25332094

>>
>>25332035

>>
>>25332117
>>25332073
>>25332053

Sophia says that the experiments she's planning to do could take quite some time. Perhaps a week. Do you really want to supervise her that whole time?
>>
>>25332109
... you could, if there were any russians on this planet.
>>
>>25332176
Not the entire time, but come to visit, when we want to take tea and aren't meeting someone drink some tea while watching her work. Keep an eye on her progress.
>>
>>25332176

>>
>>25332068

>>25332327

>>
>>25332293
You decide to let Scarlet have her fun. Giving her a few basic instructions on general specifications (looks like a human, loyal to you, tough), you provide her with a vial of your blood and let her get to work. You'll check in on her later.

For the moment, you need to ask a few other questions: What about Ahote's tribe? And what about the Castle, or perhaps Der Kestle?
>>
>>25332420

we can explain that away as well. plus, it means she won't be able to talk back at us. it is an acceptable risk
>>
>>25332420
For the Castle, it deserves a shopping trip. Send some of our men into Mark looking for artists, tapestries, all that stuff, and report back to us if they have found anyone or anything truly good.

For Ahote, let's have a talk with him, congratulate him on a job well done in our service and ask what he wants in general for himself and his people.
>>
>>25332605

Hmm seems a little boring though. A sadistic vampire I imagine would want to hear her screaming and in agony. While if she can't talk at all she can only tell from her face.
