Why hello there dear strangers!

Shall we continue the telling of this story tonight?

Our very dear Akuma-chan...
Forged out of a once-baker's soul named Claire... A pitiful woman that had been strangled to death by a beggar for her creation of love.
Called back by her since child-hood friend, Jacob, that had always looked upon Claire fondly, oh so fondly..
Once I granted the dear her body, she killed the man out of spite for turning her into a delightful monster!

And so now, she wears his skin and kills humans in secret to spread the despair that gave her this wonderful second life!
She has also continued baking bread. <3

Welcome to the quest of the Akuma, Good Evening... <3

This is the story thus far!
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Akuma%20Quest

These are your current stats and abilities as of now!
http://pastebin.com/uNiFrmpE

In the last telling of this story, a dear Akuma killed a young, nubile exorcist that thought she was simply too strong to fail. Simply goes to show how much that God of hers looks out for her, hmm? Ah, I can't even seem to remember her name... Heehee.

As for now, you have been given the blessing of the First Noah, Adam, to go on and kill the other two exorcists that have come to investigate your... activities...

Oh, and you also set a most grand fire to the slums the other night to enact justice upon the ignorant braggarts that are the poor and homeless. They simply aren't good enough to live, isn't that right?

So, shall you slaughter more tonight? A-ku-ma-chan?
>>
"Why, you have set up quite the charming shop, haven't you, my adorable creation?" The voice is gentle, proud, yet, noble. All these traits, you dearly admire. His suit is obviously tailored to fit and ends in twin coattails that go down to the middle of his long and slender legs... His whole body an artwork...

He takes off his hat and bows ever so slightly in greetings, and you do so in return as he speaks," It's good to know that you are doing so well for yourself... You and your nii-chan seem to be getting close to your next level... and this is good. There are two exorcists within this city right now.. You seem to have given them the spook by killing that naughty child... Good work in that by the way.. Unexpected that you would grow so strong in but a fortnight. Satisfied?"

"Never quite." You say, smiling as you pass the good, honest man a loaf of your bread and he turns it over a few times before setting a few coins down upon the counter. He tucks it underneath his arm,"Why, thank you.. It smells delightful with the addition of blood and fear to the bake... and the way you let it proof, the yeast to flour to water ratio... Sublime."

This guy is good. This guy knows his bread...

The man tips his hat slightly as he makes to leave,"If you kill the two exorcists, I will return to you. If you are destroyed, you were my favorite Akuma. Good day."

As the tall, lithe man leaves, a black and silver robed man enters the Bakery, nearly bumping into the Doctor.
"Ah, excuse me good man! <3" The Doctor whispers out loud, as he slips past the near collision.

The Black and Silver-robed man looks to your bread and then up to you, his eyes almost judging, trying to look into yours..

"Sir, I don't appreciate being stared at within my own bakery..."

The man quickly looks away and down," Ah, I, I am sorry. I was just thinking about a sister that we lost.. She had bought bread from this place yesterday.. I'm sure that you saw her.

"Yes, she actually hugged me even..."
>>
"You the owner of this place?"

Why, yes I am." You state proudly.

"Well, that is good to hear. She told me that the owner of this place didn't breath."
>>
You are visibly unsettled to some degree by this, yet you formulate an appropriate counter response.. You hold back a wicked, freakish smile as you think of just the right thing to say...

You breath very shallowly, facilitating a degree of breathing, though not quite to be obvious," Well, that's a rather odd thing to say... Though the truth is, I have something of a medical condition.. affects my breathing. That man that just left was my doctor coming by for a quick check up and some bread..." You play it off rather well, the man's stern eyes show a hint of doubt, and you decide that it's about time to curve this around..
"Then again, who's to say it wasn't the young lady herself that caused it, she was rather cute, wasn't she?" He lean over the counter, a bit, staring at the man as he suddenly averts his eyes.
"I am sorry, it was my mistake... she was new... Obviously with her jumping to conclusions and bravado, she'd likely be at fault. Pardon me, I'll be going now... Much work to do.." The man hastily leaves... that last comment seemed to have made him a bit more uncomfortable... or perhaps it broke the mood?

Either way, it gt him out of your bakery...

Your mind begins to whirr with what the Earl had said...And from what this man had just informed you of..

She was a rookie.. the next one is likely to be even more difficult... You'll need to get them alone... you'll need to get them alone, and you'll need help...

Perhaps your nii-chan can help with purging this disgusting rats?

These thoughts run through your head far more easily as your concern for the horrible homeless people has already been alleviated to no small degree. The purging of their kind pleases you.. oh it pleases you so greatly...

You put more bread in the oven and begin to make your next batch... You even begin to whistle something of a song... Perhaps you'll make one about burning homeless people?
>>
>>25365539

Oops silly me.. I was so tired...

>
Your mind begins to whirr with what the Doctor had said...And from what this man had just informed you of..
>>
>>25365599
Oh, what to do. Well there are some Exorcists around, and they make such lovely meals, but they are not easy prey.

If I remember correctly there are two of them, and I would rather face them alone than together. So let us find our nii-chan, we will cause trouble in one place, and he in the other, and we shall lure them apart as they can not stand idly by as men and women die, and then we converge upon one and have ourselves a feast.
>>
You begin to think, to ponder your next move that your developing circuitry has enabled you to do.. How will you deal with those foul exorcists on their mission from God? You feel, no.. you understand that you only got lucky with the girl from before.. If your younger sibling hadn't gotten her with that poison, if her innocence hadn't backfeed upon itself... She would've crushed you... your teeth didn't make a single cut in her skin...

If the others have weapons that powerful, you'll need a plan... Surprise? Maybe, though they're already on guard... A hostage maybe? It'd take all your willpower not to kill a human so close on the spot...

You plan as you bake your bread, dealing with morning customers, Mostly rich people since the fire. Many of the middle class may be too spooked.. The glorious wealthy seem not to care, and of course they pay well for the freshest, crispest bread and pastries...

Say... when did you learn how to make pastries? Perhaps you should offer one to the doctor next time? A man of his esteem must love pastries... A Croissant maybe? Or perhaps a turnover? Choices, choices...

He's far too good for a Homeless Meat Pie... Heh, heh...

Oh, perhaps you could set the town aflame again?

Perhaps a way to separate them...?

>[]Grand Arson, everything burns.

>[] Seek out viable hostages...

>[] Coordinate a murder-spree with nii-chan (I looked up lil' bro homorifics and it's Otouto, chan is added to look down on. Nii-chan just flows so nicely though, hm? <3)

and I advocate for

[X] Coordinate a murder-spree with nii-chan (I looked up lil' bro homorifics and it's Otouto, chan is added to look down on. Nii-chan just flows so nicely though, hm? <3)

Let's bring our otouto some bread and have him join us in a night of delicious carnage.
>>
>>25365858
I agree with him.

But we must offer him something better than bread. Maybe a nice pastry or a meat pie?

Maybe we could burn down the guard's barrack to disrupt security around town.
>>
>>25365963

Ahhh, there's an idea... Anything else? The more you put in, the greater this purging may be!
>>
>>25366062
Well first we identify who normally puts out fires in this town, we'll kill them first, start bonfires, and have a grand time.

We'll have our otouto go after the keepers of the peace, the law enforcement, those who keep people from panicking. He'll take out the head of their command structure before we get the fires going.

Once that happens there will be utter chaos and nobody knows what to do.

But we leave the rich people unmolested, but we make sure there's a path, a narrow restricted path, from the places on fire to the places not on fire, so people fight, bite, and claw their way in a panic to run away and trample over others thinking only of their safety.

We ought to be able to cause enough trouble spots to separate the Exorcists and then we strike.

Drawfag reporting in! I must say, drawing with a mouse sucks, in a big way. If you couldn't tell, I got tired of drawing before I did the colors, so I just rushed a quick paintjob without much thought. I'm not really that happy with the body on this, I feel like it simply doesn't match the head, maybe I'll redo it later.

That is... amazing, Quite glad that you took the time to do such good work, I tip my hat to you, my good sir!
>>
>>25366136

Also, sounds like quite the plan... Starting...
>>
>>25366136
From my limited knowledge of history, at that time the concept of fireman didn't really exists. When there was a fire, everyone around helped put it out. We could destroy some water tower around town, or maybe poison them.
>>
>>25366280
Rome had firemen, they were private and you had to pay before they put it out, but there were firemen. It's how more than a few people got rich.

And yes, if there aren't firemen go after the methods of putting them out and compromise them.
>>
>>25366326
I wonder what would happen if we mixed our poison with the water used to put out fire. Poison cloud forming over town perhap? That would be delightful and could allow us to poison the two exorcists.
>>
>>25366354
Wait... isn't our blood flammable?
>>
>>25366354
>>25366381

Your blood is your poison, and it is indeed oil. If no one noticed it in the water...
>>
>>25366381
our blood is a poisonous oil... I think. so... it might not mix with the water so well.
>>
>>25366381
Good question.

>>25366398
ohohohohoh
hahahhahaha

>>25366408
Even if it doesn't mix too well, I doubt they will notice in the "heat" of the moment that the water look oily.
>>
>>25366398
Well who cares if they notice it? Either they don't put out the fires or they cause the fire to get worse, and by the time shit's on fire I don't think people will be worried about if the water is a bit muddy.
>>
>>25366408
It has been mentioned that it would pollute water.
>>
>>25366465
True. let's go for it.
>>
Throughout this day, you work out the best course of action to go about this that you possibly can.. There was however a focused them to this whole thing... Fire... and keeping the wealthy alive.

You close up your shop and mingle at one of the few remaining taverns, one of which happens to know your name...

"Hey there Jacob, it's a bit early for a round of cards, isn't it?" The barkeep, Frederick speaks to you, cleaning a mug with a rag. His smile is warm, endearing... The kind that you'd love to.. burn into your memory..

"Not here for cards today Fred. Just here for a drink..." You take a seat at the bar and the man pours ale from the spout... You make idle conversation... Subject? Recent 'events.'
"Man, that fire in the slums sure was something else, wasn't it?"You take a deep drink of the mug and set it down.. The taste is foul, you wonder how this place stays in business with the drink watered down... Robbery.. Your Malice churns.

The man shakes his head as though he's said a prayer for the lost. "Many of my regulars died in that fire.. It took a lot of work, but we managed to put it out before it spread to the rest of town.."
"Sounds tough, I'm glad my bakery didn't get torched.. Or the rest of the town." You idly stare at the drink and facilitate a deep breath, more of a sigh," I knew some good places in that part of town..." You lie.
"Good folks were down there too." He shakes his head again. You glare at him for a moment, a silent rage in your heart.

"We don't usually get fires 'round here do we? I was asleep when the slums burned.. How did everyone put it out?"
Fred clears his throat,"The Lord had water pots put in after the last fire some time ago. Filled with water from the sea, takes a cart to get 'em filled every couple of weeks. When it disappears though, there's a great lot of salt in there. They're in the square, gates, and near a few towers along the wall." The man explains and you record the information intently..
>>
How will they put out the fires after all, when there's oil in the water? You hide your smile with another sip of the drink.

You make a bit of further small-talk to pass the time and cover suspicion..

>[] Bide your time here till nightfall, maybe even gamble a bit?
>[] Leave right away to get started with your... plan...
>[] Burn the place down... We're starting right now.
>[] (Other)
>>
>>25366720
Bide your time until nightfall.
This should be awesome and terrific in the old senses of those words.
>>
>>25366720
>>[] Leave right away to get started with your... plan...
Well, finish our drink first and pay the barkeep then leave.
>>
>>25366756
I agree. we'd best begin the... preparations. it'll take time to make sure all the major water sources have been properly altered to suit our purpose.
>>
>>25366720
Pay the barkeep and leave town, enter the woods and try to call our BRRROTHER. He said we could call him with a howl, right?

Oh, and make sure we aren't trailed out of town.
>>
>>25366785
I should also mention, don't poison the water until necessary to avoid someone stumbling across it before the fires start.
>>
Maybe we should just wait until next shipment of water arrives and pollute it at the source. Also try to find ways to discretely disable any fountains or similar so that they can't just dump the buckets and use those. We need to make our sabotage subtle though so as to prevent people from catching on.
>>
As an aside, this dear Akuma of yours is pretty much a level 1.5 Which indicates that lv 2 is quite close your increasingly unique structure and abilities pave the path for your second form!

Anyone else advocating the Faefnir/Dragon shape?

> I'm still advocating that the dragon has a furnace for a belly and wears a baker's apron.
>>
>>25366779
We must pollute the water quickly, if there is an accidental fire our strategy may be revealed.

>>25366812
We could try and get the job to refill the urns.
>>
>>25366819
I like it. Also yeah go for slow and subtle corruption of the water.
>>
>>25366819
I'd say a skinny dragon with long limbs since we seem to be based around agility.
>>
>>25366819
How adorably terrifying. Can we also get a tail the spews flames from the tip?
>>
>>25366846
the moment people start drinking the water (and dying) subtlety is out the window.
>>
>>25366878
They won't drink the water, it's sea water, just meant for fires and salt accumulation.

So we can poison it whenever and then start the fire, don't need to worry that much about timing.
>>
>>25366878
It's seawater, nobody will drink it.
>>
>>25366903
ah, ok. cool then.
>>
Let us see here...

It appears that you are all in agreeance of leaving to start now...

the burning begins.

Ah, also.. Devil's luck. On or off?
>>
Rolled 9

>>25367132
I say go for it.
>>
>>25367148
By this I mean yes to Devil's Luck, when has it ever steered us wrong?
>>
>>25367132
I say we turn on devil luck before we turn on the heat.

Hahhaahahah, wait, it's not funny.
>>
>>25367181
sure it is. devil's luck will surely help us with the hell fire we will spray.

You feel something watching out for you.. something evil and it makes your face split into a smile that you once more need to hide with a sip of beer. You take a bit of time to finish the rest of your drink and pay dear old Frederick before leaving... Not that he'll be needing it soon...

You slip through the city and locate the pots that Fred had been speaking of.. You have the locations figured out and find that the quickest way to go about this would be to go from the center pot which is the largest, and then run the perimeter of the wall for others. When the fire starts, they use the water, and bamf! Instant more-fire!

You notice that as you're traipsing through the town, there's a person in a white robe following you from some distance... Apparently your suspicious behavior has garnered... unwanted attention...

You need to meet with your otouto to relay the plan... and more importantly, before the exorcists find him doing what he does in the woods... Shooting bolts.

How will you deal with this unexpected Supervisor?

>[] Confront them.
>[] Kill them.
>[] Shake them off your tail.
>[] (Other)

(Write in if you wish, your inputs have been so delightful!)
>>
>>25367405
[X] Shake them off your tail.

What we need is a crowd, if we blend into a crowd, perhaps take off or put on a hat/hood and leave through some side exit we should be home free pretty quickly and be able to continue our plan and get the water tainted and go visit our otouto.
>>
>>25367405
Consider acting normal for another day or so, to absolve any suspicion the Exorcists may have. If they watch us acting like an average baker for a few days they may turn their attention elsewhere. Also, make it a point to breath occasionally, maybe enough to make it a habit.
>>
>>25367405
Go for a leisurely stroll through the woods while singing about the white robe who would be red.
Loudly.
>>
>>25367405
>>[x] Shake them off your tail.
Taking them head on is unrealistic, as we are not level 2 yet. It would be suicide.

We are pretty fast and agile, so loosing him somewhere in town is the best option. Then we go back and bake some bread.
>>
>>25367472
poetic, but hazardous. I'm for shaking them off of our trail using our knowledge of the town and/or a crowd.
>>
>>25367505
Yeah, we got lucky last time. Against an experienced exorcist, two level 1 akuma will be dead meat in seconds.
>>
>>25367405
>[] Shake them off your tail.
and then use speed to go and rendezvous with nii-chan
>>
Actually, why not return to the bakery for a bit and see if he follows us in? If he is going to force a conversation, might as well make it indoors and somewhere we are more comfortable.
>>
>>25367552
Actually this is good. we can focus on baking, instead of, say, killing him.
>>
>>25367588
we now have the willpower to resist the urge to murder him. we don't need to be baking to resist.
>>
>>25367675
But still, baking bread is awesome. Doing something we genuinely love may allow us to look more human when we meet him.
>>
>>25367675
If he tries flashing some Innocence at us to test us, we'll need all the willpower we can muster.
>>
>>25367675
Yeah. Let's go ahead and try to shake him off. Don't just try to disappear around the corner, though. Lose him in a crowd. It's still the middle of the day, right?
>>
>>25367710
That's why we got Willpower 2. Willpower 3 lets us resist the pain to destroy Innocence.
>>
>>25367716
>>25367552
Why not return to the bakery and try to lose him on the way? gives us a solid destination and a good place for a confrontation if one occurs.
>>
>>25367753
but they might have someone watching the bakery... and if he loses us, that would probably be the first place he would go.
>>
>>25367747
dude we're a level 1 akuma. there's no WAY we can actually destroy innocence yet. (canonically I'm pretty sure only the noah clan are ever able to actually destroy it, the best us akuma can hope for is to survive it.)
>>
>>25367801
Well if they do have someone watching it, it's not a big deal for us to go there. I mean, we own the damn place.
>>
>>25367828
I dunno, I just think caution is the best way to get around this speedbump in our plan. If we try to lose the guy trailing us too hard they may get more suspicious.
>>
>>25367828
we are trying to lose the guy so we can meet up with nii-chan. this place needs to burn tonight
>>
Wait, white robe guy means he's one of thefinders

Basic human that we can beat up in human form.
>>
>>25367856
Then loose the guy and meet with lil bro in the wood to organize.
>>
>>25367817

That is the canon.

Really, willpower is more to allow you to clash with it and resist the pain it inflicts upon you.
It's a big deal because it would start giving penalties in confrontations with exorcists.

I'm seeing many votes for returning to the bakery..

Shall we wait a few nights before enacting our plan? Perhaps slip out this night as we go home to warn your adorable little brother?

My name, I seem to have lost it..

>>25367889

All Akuma-chan knows right now is that black robe with Silver Cross means Exorcist.
>>
>>25367897
if we wait too long they might find nii-chan.

we need to do this as quickly as possible
>>
>>25367951
If they find nii-chan and kill him they might leave. If we hurry we might screw up and get killed. I see no reason to hurry.
>>
>>25367856
Why's that? It seems like the exorcists are going to be in town for a bit, no real reason to rush things and potentially fuck up. Unless the Duke mentioned to do so ASAP, if so I missed that.

Also here's my updated plan.

>Take winding path to Bakery
>Wait for, oh I dunno, a half hour and clean up the place or something
>Leave town, return home
>Sneak into woods at night, once in cover transform and max speed far away from the city and call BRROOOTHER

Basically maximum careful for tonight, until we have the plan set up with nii-chan
>>
>>25367979
I like that plan. that's a good plan.
>>
>>25368002
The problem is that that the finder might figure out where we live. He needs to either be dead or not know of where we've gone at all
>>
>>25367979
I like that plan.

Maybe we could kill our family before going to the wood? I am metagaming a bit, but it may give us the push to become level 2.
>>
>>25368040
Yeah, hence why I said
>Sneak into woods at night
He's a human from what I've gathered, although I never read D.Gray Man, so idk what that entails.
>>25368087
Not just yet, if this guy comes knocking at night it'd be best to have your family awnser the door for you.

Also, what exactly is a finder anyway?
>>
>>25368121
A useless and powerless sack of flesh that keep an eye out for innocence and akuma related phenomenons.
>>
>>25368147
So someone who might be deterred by seeing us living with a perfectly alive and happy family, yeah?
>>
>>25368168
Nope. If he's ordered to follow us around, he'll do it until he is given new orders or killed
>>
>>25368168
When you put it that way, I guess so.
>>
>>25367979
okay, I admit. that's a good plan.
>>
>>25368192
>>25367405
second
>>
>>25368185
this is true, but he will report back. and if his report says "seems human to me" he'll probably be off our back sooner. if we kill him on the other hand... well that might look suspicious. on the plus side if killing him though, MURDERJOYFUNDEATHMUTALATIONHAPPYRIPINGGLEE!
>>
>>25368185
Are Finders affiliated with the exorcists? If not, no reason not to just let him do his thing.
>>
>>25368241
That is assuming he reports back after we go home and doesn't watch the house.
>>25368258
They're people who tired out but failed ot become exorcists but stayed with the Black Order
>>
>>25368258
yes. they are affiliated with exorcists. but that's beside the point, because our Akuma doesn't know it's a finder. all it knows is that it is following him
>>
You ignore the man following your traipsing about and continue on with your day, returning to the bakery from an "extended lunch" of sorts and you still see the man from there... How very irritating...

You carry on with your most important business, being the cleaning of your oven, the procurement of more wood for the fire...

Late-day you find that the man is still looming around... he has not entered, however the white robes he wears are a dead giveaway... At this point, you have it figured that he's working with the exorcists or bears you some other kind of suspicion...

You ponder, what made him choose such a life? A depraved, sad existence as he. Working against the glory of the earl and the fall of God he stands for.. Who could ever just... say no to that? Who would choose to be... to be so despicable... You decide that he must be a poor man.. a very poor man. He's so poor, he probably gives money to those disgusting wretches... Or worse yet, he requests it from his betters without any sort of trade... He's not a baker. You're a damn baker... He's definitely not a baker, he's a goddamn piece of human trash...

You're quite certain that you're right on the money.

Exactly about his money.

His exact lack of money.

He has no funds.

You have funds.

HE'S STILL WATCHING YOU.

- - - - - - - -

You make your way for home and find that the man has been replaced by a lady in white, likely she too is a damn insolent pauper, however at least it isn't that beggar from before... You... stop yourself from thinking too much about this one.. You nearly ran into the white man as you left and damn near burned him on the spot... It's took a lot of your self control to not kill the man.. Perhaps the doctor would be proud?

You arrive at home and hug Mirabelle and the kids when they greet you at the door.. You realize that someday, their faces will taste your fire and be baked with the most sublime perfection... That is, until you eat them.

For now, this gentkle warmth, akin to the heat of the oven and rising dough will do just as well.

They grow wheat after all.

You've lost track of your new follower since arriving at home.. it may be suspicious to leave for the woods at this time... Though not impossible..

>>25368367
You do remember to breath now and then, though mostly when you're speaking to others. It's still not quite second-nature yet.
>>
>>25368391
[X] Go out for a 'piss'

By which I mean an illicit sexual liaison. After all monsters don't feel lust, but we're no monster now are we?
>>
>>25368391
>[] Go out for a 'piss' and try to confront the follower.

Can we piss fire at him? if not, just ignore him, or kill him. either way is fine
>>
>>25368391
>>[x] Go out for a 'piss' and try to confront the follower.

Question, can we piss our oil blood while in human form? Would be hilarious.
>>
>>25368391
Go to woods and call for your brother, then confort your follower
>>
>>25368391
Wait until the family has gone to sleep and sneak out, stuffing hay or clothes under a blanket to hide your leaving.
>>
>>25368391
>>[] Go out for a 'piss' and try to confront the follower.

that is, if we see them. if not, head toward the woods to "take a piss". by which I mean transform as soon as hidden and make a run for it.
>>
>>25368420
To clarify, I'm saying only make it seem that a liaison is what we're doing. We can eat the partner once the follower has left.
>>
>>25368420
>>25368498
Ohhhhhhh.... I like the way you think....
>>
What time is it?
If already dark out, go take a leak, head in the woods
If daytime, what >>25368457 said.
>>
>>25368537

It's nightfall, essentially sunset.

>>25368498
Mmm, who would the partner be? As a note, this history has the fantasy alteration in that woman have about the same rights as men, just for clarification. There are female guards, is what I'm saying. <3
>>
>>25368574
Chat up a female guard and lure her into the woods for 'intercourse' then once both the follower and the guard are gone we can say that a monster took her.
>>
>>25368635
how are we going to convince a guard? I don't think we're that good.
>>
>>25368673
A pretty face and promises of alcohol can go a long way. Especially when the woman in question might not be the best of lookers.
>>
>>25368673
Give her the loaf.
>>
>>25368635
Forget about liaison stupidity and just excuse yourself for a piss to go talk to the follower. I mean seriously tg get your mind out of the gutter or at least wait until it won't bring 2 experienced exorcists down on us to have it there.
>>
>>25368706
big, soft, more than enough for her and her family.

Its what every woman wants
>>
>>25368733
I can see your point, and have to agree. Lets be efficient here, there are two exorcists in town and they suspect us to be an akuma.

Lets try to act quickly before we do a mistake that blows our cover.
>>
>>25368733
This. Why would you waste your time doing meat things when you could be planning mass murder with your bro?
>>
Go out and pretend to attempt to shit. Loudly. That's how I make my boss leave me alone.
>>
>>25368786
You're right. What was I thinking, let's just deal with the white robe and be done with it.
>>
>>25368795
This.
>>
You tell your family that you're going out for a 'piss', however you give your mother a slight wink and tell her not to worry if you don't come back for a bit.
"Where are you really going Jacob?" Mirabelle asks with a sort of... look in her eye.
"Well, since Claire passed, I thought I'd look into other women. I'm not getting any younger, and you'd like grandchildren, right?"
Mirabelle just kind of smiles," We'll leave the lantern outside lit. Blow it out when you come home. And do be careful."

And so you're off... You head across the field, through the snow, and out of sight of the road.. You notice your particular follower has been tailing you even as you get to the edge of the wood... Though they are rather far away, you hear them... the boots crunching into the snow...

The thick evergreens among other trees lay before you along with the game trails and the truth of a demon living within...

Behind you, the distant light of a few farms and a walled city that you would see burned to the ground, save for the noble residents...

Now's the time to decide.. How will you deal with this pursuer?

>[] Confront her.
>[] Kill her
>[] Ignore her.
>[] (Other)

Recall that I give bonus points for especially terrible deaths! I also apologize for being slow, all of you were talking so much... had to make sure you had it figured...
>>
>>25368880
>>[x] Confront her.
Lets try to get some information out of her. Then we can lure her in the wood and offer her to niisan as a gift.
>>
>>25368880
lure her in, pin her down, make odd comments about grandchildren, get info, and then kill.

depending on how she answers/reacts determines her death
>>
>>25368880
I'd say confront her, in a human way.

>Eyyy baby, I see u ben lookin at me
>I farm crops yo
>U like the breads, yes? I make the breads.
>Hows about yuo and me get our groove on, knowimsayin?

Either freak her out enough for her to leave or make her think we are definitely human.
>>
>>25368880
[X] Confront her.

Raise their hopes high and then consume them to taste their bitter tears.
>>
>>25368960
Forgot to mention, have her leave on her own. The other guy may be watching too, so she needs to leave in one piece and report we are human, although creepy.
>>
>>25368983
So we're going to be the bread baker with no game?
>>
>>25368880
well, we seem to be going into high gear and be doing some rapid fire killing. I say kill her.

we will disappear and she will be confused, then, all of the sudden, she senses something behind her. she turns around and sees us in our wolf form. and then we start chasing her through the woods. play a little game of cat and mouse, then, after we let her stew in her fear, we will then snap her neck. and comment on what a terrible job she did at tailing us.
>>
>>25368994
We shall level up our game and become the pimpinest akuma to walk the land.
>>
>>25368960
well, if we freak her out too much, we'll need to kill her. to ensure she doesn't report us as "NOPE! NO FUCKING WAY THAT THING IS HUMAN. DEFINITELY AN AKUMA. TIME TO GET YOUR MURDER ON, EXORCISTS.". we can always stick the body in the woods and wait for someone to find it though. people die in the woods all the time.
>>
>>25368994
Precisely.
>>25369016
Nah man, I dont mean creepy as in NOPENOPENOPE, I mean creepy as in "My god this guy is lame, no Akuma could possibly act like this"
>>
>>25368960

More like
>"How about I put a bun in your oven?"
Or
"I'll butter your muffins if you'll let me..."

Or even

" You make my dough rise."

>>25369012
It could've been something of a stat if Lust was chosen as a quirk.

>>25369007
Alas you are the one with intent to outright murder her...

What's the plan?

Confront as a cheesy-baker, and what not?
"
>>
>>25369059
Confront as a cheesy-baker, if she doesn't buy it we can get rid of her easily enough.
>>
>>25369059
*sigh* they just don't want to take too much risk. how... boring....
>>
>>25369059
We can play it off as a baker who doesn't anything but bread trying to seduce. He can only talk about bread related things.
>>
>>25369092
>>25369096
No, its just that the terror that our bread will cause will be glorious, and when we do kill her, we will do it with the holiest of items.

Bread.
>>
>>25369096
Yeah, we could try to make her believe that we think she's stalking us because she has a crush on us.
>>
>>25369092
I'd be fine with killing her if she didn't have at least one accomplice who may be watching from the shadows. She'll die in the fire just like everyone else.
>>
>>25369116
I like this, it sounds very human.
>>
>>25369107
but it goes doesn't seem... fitting. but hunting her down, following her like she followed us.... priceless.
>>
>>25369129
Although now that I think about it, it will be difficult to poison the water with white robed punks around... Idea.

>Lose the girl tonight
>Follow her back to her place of residence
>With any luck, the other finders will be there too, and away from the Exorcists
>>
>>25369129
She doesn't need an accomplice you dumbass. Simple deductive reasoning goes "oh hey she was observing the baker last night and then she went missing. Therefore the baker most likely killed her."
>>
>>25369214
If we are speedy with our plans it won't matter tomorrow since the city will be dead anyway. I don't want him running into town to get the exorcists tonight while we are planning and poisoning the water and stuff.
>>
>>25369230
Is the plan burn the city and run?
>>
>>25369278
As of now I thought it was "Burn the city, kill the exorcists, ???, PROFIT!!!"
>>
>>25369289
>As of now I thought it was "Burn the city, kill the exorcists, ???, LEVEL 2!!!
ftfy
>>
Ok, so basically the only question is, are we fast enough to kill the white-robbed bitch, poision the water, and start the fires all in one night? If so, let's do that. We can kill the exorcists as they're trying to aid the townspeople, and make a night of it. Once we're done with that we might as well kill our family on the way out of town.
>>
You pause before the woods and take s deep stretch, going into something of a backbend, and see the white-robe among the snow, down to avoid sight, yet you see her... She's not fooling your Oculars...

Setting back upright and heading for her, you see that she gets up suddenly as if to run, however you make sure to appear as... human.. as possible in your approach. No creepy twitches like Otouto. . . Otouto.. Perhaps Toto? That's a good name for a dog like him.. you smile at that, that's a possible one..

The woman finally picks herself up and begins to flee at your approach...

Oh, do you love it when they run..
"Hey, what are you doing?! You got a thing for me?!" You shout at the woman.
She continues to run as though her life depends on it... that is.. until...
"I wanted to ask if you'd let me put a bun in your oven!" she stops at that, and turns to stare at... no, Glare at you from afar.
"What in heaven's name did you just say?!" She screams back at you, walking straight up to you now, shoulder's hunched and her stomps heavy.

When she's close, you can see the faint blue of her eye in the moonlight and she jabs a finger into your chest," I am a sister of the church! Not some harlot to call names at!"
You smile. Oh, this one has some spunk.. "Well then, why were you following me if you didn't want my bread? Could it be that you want the D-"
"Don't you even finish that sentence! Look, We had heard that you lost someone recently... we were scared that you might have... intent... to follow them...Especially what- with your buying of that bakery... There are people here for you.. I saw your family back there...

You make a note that she is awfully chatty.. damn near charismatic.. Her skin is pale, much like the other young lady... Their features are similar too... likely...

"You... lost someone recently as well?" You could tell it in her features, its the look of someone who's tasted despair... the look of someone that the Doctor should be coming for.. yet he hasn't.
>>
>>25369278
>>25369289
Here's my semi-detailed plan for the Exorcists and the City.

>Lose girl now one way or another
>Find Nii-Chan
>Inform him of the plan

The plan being, from what I can tell,
>Poison water tonight under darkness
>Have him cause a scene in the woods
>Start fires in city
>Massacre people in the streets
>Exorcists are forced to either split up and go after both of us or both stay in the city, leave

If both split up,
>Use our speed to run into the woods and help nii-chan with his exorcist, return together to finish off the last one

If they stay together

>In woods have Nii-Chan GTFO, he's really fast if I remember, hopefully seperatew the enemy
>in city, use the fires to seperate them and howl to call him into the city, maybe give covering fire from rooftops
>>
>>25369358
Ah bread. You never fail.
>>
She looks away from you and bites at her lip. You're right on the money... You know... you killed her sister... and she thought about it... she thought about it~

>[] Comfort. (Write in)
>[] Rub salt in that wound... (Write in)
>[] Whelp, time for her to see her sister!
>[] Leave into the woods, not another word.
>[] (Other)
>>
>>25369445
comfort her, lead her to her sister, and then extract information. make it slow and painful when her time comes.
>>
>>25369358
oh god. it would have been delightful to chase her down, break her neck and paralyze her, and then note that this is just what her sister looked like before we killed her.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... that would just be.... delicious.
>>
>>25369472
Burn baby burn?
>>
>>25369445
oh god, even better.

chase her through the woods, towards the place where we killed her sister, where he hands and Innocence should still be.

and then we start the real torture.
>>
>>25369491
No, i was thinking calling our brethern, taking a bolt and running it along her skin, deep enough to barely cut, but enough to leave marks. tell her how her sister died, and then slowly stab her in the hand, and let the poisen work its magic
>>
>>25369445
[X] Leave into the woods, not another word

Imply that we're going into the woods to off ourselves, and that she's welcome to join.
>>
>>25369445
While I must agree with >>25369482, caution is a must until we can get the ball rolling. Once our plan has momentum, it'll be hard to stop.

Therefore,
>"I know how you feel, but you need to realize that you can't bring back the dead... you've got to move on, dwelling on the past won't help at all. Now go home, get some rest. I need some time to think..."

That's a sufficiently human line, eh?

If she doesn't leave,
>Leave in the direction of the city, but cut back to the woods in beastmode once out of sight.
>>
>>25369528
No, we should offer her the same death as her sister! It would be cruel to not show her exactly how we kill her little sister. We owe it to her.
>>

33 KB JPG
As a note, that look of despair and her thinking...

It was more meant to connotate that she thought about asking for a... Doctor... Because they're magic right? Don't tell me that they aren't...
>>
>>25369587
yes, I got it. lets put our hands on her shoulder, as a kind of gesture for comfort... AND THEN QUICKLY GRAB HER NECK AND EITHER CHOKE HER INTO UNCONCIOUSNESS OR SNAP HER NECK AND PARALYZE HER.

then we drag her to where we killed her sister, and show her the hands. her sister's hands. and then note that her sister let down her guard too, and it cost her dearly.
>>
>>25369587
no, if its gruesome like her sisters, then it looses its effect. we want to make it slow, painful, offering fake hopes, even telling her there is a cure for the poison even. that way, we get all that we want to and work on both our skill out torture, leaving glorious, slow painfull death.
>>
>>25369592
Good point, if we could get a Finder to become an akuma, while reviving an Exorcist... that's tasty despair there.
>>25369556
Editing
>>"I know how you feel, but you need to realize that you can't bring back the dead... Although I did hear a rumor about a doctor who could revive dead people. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I considered looking for him after my Claire passed, but don't even know where to start.
>>
>>25369630
I just assumed a Finder would know about the Earl enough to not make the deal. still never read D Gray
>>
>>25369657

Despair and Hope can make humans do some very silly things...
>>
>>25369657
I think finder and exorcist are incapable of making the deal with the earl or some such because of the purification ritual. Don't know if it applies to finder however.
>>
>>25369630
(continuation)
"Sorry about earlier... I just hoped that someone else might... anyway. I was coming out here to... to be done with it. I'd guess that you've got no objections to that, so I'll just be off."
>>
>>25369630
If we can make this work, that's a fucking brilliant idea. The earl seems to endorse it, and the canon here isn't exactly the same as in the books so let's try it.

>>25369701
That's a fine addition
>>
>>25369681
Well that seals it. Let's talk to her about how we knew the recently deceased.
How she seemed to be in the prime of her life, and how she was also somewhat attractive, a lie of course. All to make her more depressed.
>>
>>25369592
I suppose you could call them that... They do have a tendancy to make things go all wibbly-wobbly.

I'd vote for comfort her, and let her escape. If they're already suspicious of us, killing her will confirm it. Do we really want to be facing more exorcists before the plan?

Perhaps talk about Claire, express a hatred of the poor, etc?
>>
>>25369692
no, I'm pretty sure they can be akuma-ified, since church policy is to cremate the remains of all finders and exorcists, then not tell the families, for the express purpose of preventing it.
>>
I'd say give her talk about how the dead are gone and since there's really nothing you can do about it it's not worth dwelling on much. I figure it hits that sweet spot between subtly setting her up for a doctor visit and avoiding too much suspicion of our true nature
>>
>>25369714
So, make her feel true despair, then lure her to her sister's body and hope the Doctor will offer her the deal?
>>
>>25369592
Wait. Her sister is the Exorcist we killed?

....Why are we not trying to convert her? I want to taste the delicious irony.
>>
I think we are trying to convert her. Hence the talk about 'hearing aobut a doctor who can revive the dead.'
>>
>>25369741
It'd been awhile since I've read D.Gray man, but I think occasionally a finder turns to the Earl out of despair. Exorcists would too, if their innocence wouldn't formidably turn them into a suicide bomber first.
>>
>>25369781
well, what's left of her sister's body. that is to say, her hands.
>>
>>25369720
Let's go full knife twist by "deducing" it was that kind bright cheerful girl who came in yesterday and complimented us on our bread.
>>
>>25369781
Yesssss. Ask her if she'd like to go on a walk, and "Stumble across" the remains. Our plans will be so much easier with another Akuma to help us, whether that's with her help or with her delicious EXP.
>>
>>25369819
We could also defile her memory by implying that she really enjoyed our bread.
>>
>>25369840
once again, there are only hands remaining. although the Innocence that are on them should make it obvious who they belong to.
>>
>>25369781
Let's not be TOO obvious.

How about we mention something about her looking familiar? They're siblings. They should bear a resemblance with one another.

Also, I'm assuming white robes isn't the standard uniform of the clergy in our town. Which means we can reasonably deduce that she's a stranger here.

"Did you come into town with the Exorcists? I met one of you the other day; pretty young girl. You look a lot like her. I heard from her brother that she went missing; I hope that you find her soon. She was so bright and cheerful, it would be a great shame if anything horrible happened to her."
>>
>>25369854
Are we talking about normal bread or bread with filling?
>>
>>25369907
Baguette.

>>25369882
Yeah, would be too obvious, lets take a walk with her to comfort her and lets stumble on whats left of her sister by accident.

We suffered a loss recently so we know what shes going through.
>>
>>25369814
right, I forgot about falling.
>>
>>25369947
I'll write up an updated plan of action for y'all (Slow typer)
>>
>>25369882
Then we add in our own experience of "losing a loved one."

"I'd do anything to bring the girl I loved back, if I could. Even if it was just for a little while. We'd been together for so long, yet I was never able to confess to her. So many things left unsaid....so many regrets....if I could just have get one last chance to talk to her...."

Make her feel like calling on the good Doctor for help would just be a one time only thing, you know?
>>
>>25369882
>>25369983
My write-in. A mixture of comforting the girl and trying to push her towards asking for help from the Doctor. Just this once. Because once is all we need....
>>
>>25369963
>I know how you feel, but you need to realize that you can't bring back the dead... Although I did hear a rumor about a doctor who could revive dead people. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I considered looking for him after my Claire passed, but don't even know where to start. (Pause for a second) Sorry about earlier... I just hoped that someone else might... anyway. >Walk to the site of her "corpse", while walking discuss how our loved ones passed away
>>
>>25369983

You don't actually need to know about the Doctor to be able to call for him. He comes when a person is sufficiently desperate enough.

So no name dropping. That's too obvious.
>>
>>25370006
Why would we even go out for a walk in the woods anyway when there are rumors of a monster lurking about hunting for human beings?

You grab the woman's hand and hold it between yours, feeling the gentleness of her fingers, even as she weakly tries to pull away.

"I know that look of yours... You've lost someone recently.. Someone.. very dear to you... Someone should be looking out for you as well.. For all we know, the fire from last night could've been some poor man or woman's... success at the deed..."

The woman is quiet, her eyes do not meet yours, however she has stopped pulling away.

"You look a lot like a young lady that visited my Bakery the other day.. She had eyes very much like yours and she tried to console me as well... She asked me not to turn to despair.. That there is hope for me. . . I'm still looking for something to give that hope to me... Would you join my walk?" You begin to pull her hand as you turn to the wood, she lets you lead.

"Is it really okay? I've heard tell of people dying around here.." She whispers as though there are people listening.

"Don't worry, I know the trails... I grew up around here after all."

The two of you pass the time in the woods under the light of a waning moon upon recently fallen snow. The evergreens bearing the weight upon their ever verdant leaves..

You speak gently to her about the mutual despair that the two of you have... And then you bring up the topic of Claire...

"I had loved her since we were children.. we used to play together, she and I... Though there came a time that plague took her parents both, leaving only her... A baker took her in as an apprentice, kept her in the town and out of trouble.. It took some time, though her smile returned whenever she baked bread.. The man was a good man, and with his passing, yes, she cried, but..."

Teresa, as you've found out her name to be, looks at you intently, it's as though everything else but you has melted away from this cold world,"But...?" She whispers, hanging in the edge of your words.
>>
>>25370229
Remember, never let them die without seeing a smile.
>>
>>25370349
Damn, we should have brought up how Claire died getting mugged by a hobo. A dirty, despicable death.

It'd make raising someone up from the dead appealing, at least for the chance to give them a proper send-off.
>>
"But, after her grieving, she went back to baking... and her bakery carried on with all the love she had in her heart. She brought back the man's memory in every loaf of bread she baked. Even if just for a moment... and the way she'd smile at her creation of love... The way that I wished she had smiled at me.." You sob out a tear or two... This is far harder than it looks...

"It... It would be nice if there were a way... to have her back... even if for just a moment.. Just to tell her how much I loved her... How much I admired her devotion..."

Teresa puts a hand to her own face and turns away at that... "I... I should... I." You hear the tears forming between her words and the sobbing chokes... Yes... You'll make this one fall... You'll do it..

"You... You miss that person... don't you?" A whisper from your lips, the malice whirs through your mind... these words... Yes... they are indeed poison...

She looks at you, wetness streaming down her face," Some say... if you call out for a person... with enough love in your heart... that they'll come back to you...God... Is merciful, isn't he?"

She stares at you, her expression tearful, perplexed, yet thoughtful... She's.. really thinking about it now...

You see a shadow from the side of your vision and a very familiar voice ring through your ears," Why, what a good night this is for a casual stroll, is it not?" That lovely noble tone... the rich and kind voice... It is... the Doctor! You suppress your urge to praise the man and all that he's worth.. He's smelled the ripened fruit...

"Who... Are you?" The woman nearly demands, she stands in front of you, defensively, the soft glow of sorcery from her own hand.

The Doctor, simply tips his hat and spins his cane, before tilting his head and mask to the side as he regards her. "I am simply, a doctor... Quite a good one at that.. So good in fact, that by the power of God, I may request the dearly departed back from his beyond to share but a single moment to reconnect with those that feel loss from their departure... This service, I do for you... Free of charge. . . My humble act of service for my fellow man. And all it takes, is a simple thing from you."

Teresa looks on with a small degree of skepticism, yet no small manner of hope in her face,"And.. what would I have to do?"

The Doctor taps his cane upon a tree and you hear an audible "Tsk, Tsk."
"Why, that is simple, my dear... You simply do as your friend here as stated... Call out her name with all the love in your heart, and I will deliver her from God!"

Teresa contemplates this.. and she looks to you," No, He... He should be the one.. I... I still have grieving to do."

"Ah, no, no. This one is for you... He's already had his turn."

Teresa's eyes go wide," You... You've..."

You nod and close your eyes," Yes, I've said my goodbyes... Teresa is in heaven, knowing How I loved her.." You force a few tears out and bow your head.

The Doctor throws his arms out wide," Yes, our dear Jacob has said his goodbyes," He puts a hand to his chest, over his heart, "And now, it is time for you. Will you call out her name, Teresa?"

The woman has the name at the edge of her tongue. She's so close to saying it...

>>
>>25370964
Actually, from reading the manga, I rather get the impression that the akuma are actually separate beings from the souls that they were created out of. The souls are dragged along as a sort of power-source, fully cognizant of what the akuma is doing, and powerless to stop it... but maybe I'm mis-interpreting.
>>
>>25371124

It's actually spot on as I interpret it the same way. Akuma sentience is separate from the souls. That's why I've often referred to family in quotes and by name instead of father, mother, etc.
>>
She has the name on the tip of her tongue. . . The tip of he tongue, yet she won't say it...

You put a hand upon her shoulder and whisper gently into her ear," Teresa, she's waiting for you..."

"Ar.....iel...." It finally comes out of her mouth, yet it's a mumble...
The doctor puts a hand to his ear and makes to listen,"What was that? I don't believe that she can hear you..."
"Ariel..." She's still saying it softly...
"I'm afraid I won't be able to bring her back if that's as loud as you can call her name..." The Doctor looks at his wrist and twirls his cane as though awaiting something.

"Ariel! Bring back Ariel! Bring my sister back!" She screams out and the Doctor's beak-like mask takes on something of a creepy grin.

"She hears you Teresa... My dear, dear Teresa..." The Good Doctot whispers, his voice an echo as with another twirl of his cane, he summons a skeletal body that seems so familiar to you... The name "Ariel Godschild" carved into the head-plate.

"Here, is the base of her new body... And now.." The doctor brings his twirling can around to tap the metal skeleton, its parts moving and coming to life...

At this point, Teresa's face has gone cold, words barely leaving her lips," No...."

You put a hand on her shoulder, your mad smile breaking across your face," We can be family now! You wouldn't let me put a bun in your oven, maybe now it can be Ariel instead?"

The Woman's gone limp as she realizes her grave mistake, the glow of magic leaving her palms for a moment as she begins to shake her head.

Another," No..." Only, it's not from Teresa... it's from the skeleton... "NO!!!!!" It screams out, with bloody murder and sheer terror. "TERESA!! YOU!!! YOU TURNED ME INTO THIS! How... How could you!? You swore! You swore an oath by God! How could you!"

Teresa places her palms upon her head and begins to shake," No... no.. I didn't mean... I just wanted to... I just wanted to..."

Seems to be a bit of a mix, in this quest at least. The souls provide a sort of 'seed', if you will, for the Akuma's persona, along with a temporary identity until they're either killed or become strong enough to leave it.

Two (known) converts within a month of creation. Truly we have been busy.

The Doctor sets down his cane and stares, at the whimpering woman before him," Tell her that you love her? Very good..." The Doctor turns to Ariel and gives a soft tap to let her out of the bindings. She falls with a thud and stumbles to stand like a newborn colt.

"If you would be so kind, Ariel... Show your dear sister how much you love her. And never let go! <3"

The skeleton screams again as its mechanical form approaches Teresa, who's frozen with fear, unable to kill her enraged sister. She simply looks up and smiles," I love you sis..." the skeleton wraps its arms around her body gently...

"I... Love you too..." It whispers.... Right before it crushes Teresa's spine with a vice-like embrace. Blood and bone poke out of her skin and the body goes limp, the eyes still aware.

You could interject here for a moment... The eyes are losing their light quickly... You have time enough for a few words, or one action.

You get close to the dying woman, the tears staining her cheeks, her body contorted from the crushing grip of her sister... You smile, exposing your demon, a snaggle-toothed maw of rows of fangs, "Such a lovely little sister..."

Her deadening eyes release one more tear, and you kiss the cheek of the woman just as the last bit of light fades from her eyes... and now, there shall be only darkness...

You draw yourself away from the corpse and bow before the Doctor.

"A pleasure to have you create another splendid child.. this one a finder and exorcist even... Hmm, hmm... how very, very rare indeed! You are quite the exceptional little Akuma so far... Brilliant for one so young... I cannot wait to see what other games you have in store for me! <3"

You take the words to heart," I only do what I feel is truly the right thing to do, Earl... The woman yearned for her sister, despite the obvious depravity that the two of them stand for.. You spread such good things in this world, Great Doctor.. They have found the honest and humble path... of Akuma..."

The Doctor taps a finger on his cane before leaning over to get a better look at you,"On with... Conviction? Oh.. I'll have a special eye upon you... <3 I'll be off now, I have an appointment to make, take care of this rare little one!"

You choke back the tears, the joy you feel at such honor.. to be under observation by the doctor.

"It is... my most righteous duty, my master... Oh... and I have some bread for you, if you would like.."

The Doctor holds a hand up," Oh, that is all very well and good..." Bread suddenly appears in the doctor's hand,"Eh? Where did this come from?"

"My lord, You are already bread." You whisper, just loud enough for him to hear.

He puts a hand to his chin and hums," Definitely worth watching..." He throws the bread into the beak-mask and holds up his cane, dark tendrils unfolding and becoming a black umbrella... He floats away...

I just got the best -BEST- idea ever:

While the city is burning, we sneak around in human form and "save" certain people. When they wake up and realize everything they love has burnt to a crisp- wait for it... We blame the exorcists

Then we can incite riots and drive a bunch to call upon the good doctor's services.
>>
>>25372129
While I do like that line of thought, we do have to make sure that the exorcists die. how can we ensure that the townspeople don't just drive them away?

I'd say have Madeline "confess" to overhearing the inquisitors plan a grand fire to bring the fear of the akuma to the nation so the church can move uncontested. This is after we have spent the night saving people from the fires and giving out bread and discretely recommending the doctor's services. Get a nice angry mob with some level 1 akuma mixed in to split up the inquisitors and then take them out 1 at a time.

Not a bad plan, although we still haven't spoken to Madeline. She could be as dumb as a box of rocks for all we know.

You feel ever more toxic, your blood churns within you... only this time... you feel truly noxious... The oil thickens and so does its concoction...
>>Blood-Oil Poison(3) Your blood-oil, contains a poison that can claim a human life within a day, breaking down their flesh with a signature Akuma disease that spreads pentacles across the flesh while making them crumble into dust.. This oil may coat all of your weapons. Noxious fumes emitted when burned... (300exp)

You feel the burning joy within your heart once more... seeing this new sibling of yours... Your Imouto... It's just so... Good.. so... Clean, and pure... so honest... That burning feeling, the same as what you feel for your creations of bread.. Soon becomes real, just like the thought of bread does before it is made true... That makes sense, yes?

Your Heart has turned into a furnace for Dark Matter...
>Flame Magic(3) Your Dark Matter heart has been converted to a furnace, allowing your body to be wrapped in flame. Maintained and controlled quite well, It suffers little dampening while its raining. An excellent scare tactic... Can be used as a flamethrower-like fire breath or Flame cloak. (300exp)

In the presence of good company, and a new plan churning within your mechanical mind, you revert to your true form, a four legged beast with a heavy mechanical jaw and flames from a stoked fire from within you...

You let out a howl into the wood... it is returned by the new Akuma, and then from another that is far... and then another... and a few more...

Seems that the Doctor has been busy... It'll be time to share your most ingenious plan soon...

You swing your head over and regard your new Imouto with your Oculars, focusing and defocusing to get a good look. It stares back at you with empty eyes...

>You let out a howl into the wood... it is returned by the new Akuma, and then from another that is far... and then another... and a few more...
this plan may akumally work

I'm worried that the Inverse Ninja Law will become the Inverse Akuma Law and fuck us over.

Have faith, the good doctor's work is not without strife. Be patient and endure, for justice will triumph!

So we stay spread out. Make sure we fight in equal or slightly greater numbers, and have more causing general mayhem throughout the town.

While we wait for our bretheren to gather, we may as well see to our dear sister.

This one is yet different again... Once more, with a fixed jaw, only this time without a bolt... It has its front paws appear more as like a mix of arms and claws, heavily "meated" out by metal plating, hydraulic tendons and what else appears as some kind of muscle... seems that she's like to be a heavy hitter...

"You." Your metal voice rings out. It looks to you and whispers.
"....Me."
"You reminded me of a lovely baked good called a Madeleine. And thus that shall be your Akuma-name."
The 'child' sits there and stares at you without moving,"Right... I.... Am... Madeleine..." She's just as... boring as the other one was... or perhaps still is... Ah, what will you name that one? Suddenly you feel like naming things...

You hear a rustle from the bused and you soon see the head of a familiar Akuma poking through... The bolt within Toto's mouth pokes out as usual.. only it's mare barbed now... and extends a much more notable distance out.

"You called, my comrade?" His speaking's gotten better at least...

"That I did... I have a plan to share..."

Five other Akuma creep into your neck of the woods.

"And, I suppose, with them as well. Say, who wants to kill an exorcist?"

The rest of them are quiet, only good ol' Toto speaks," These others, they are still new.. Not used to speaking their mind, comrade. I however... I am becoming... Different... and I am noticing you always have been. Anyway, the children, they can do the listening. They simply won't be much for the talking. What do you have for us?"

He has... become quite more vocal...

This... should indeed be interesting...

>Next thread, I'd say that it'll be tomorrow, starting at 1900 servertime. If that is not good, I'll keep the thread alive until you gentleman can attend!

Once more, as this comes to a close... Question, answer, and suggestion time!

Well of course it applies to level ones. Which is why we use the fire to get ourselves to level two and keep our newly forged imouto out of the action for now.

"Oh, it truly is a joy to see so many of my dear siblings here. And Toto, you speak, I am truly pleased for you.

Comrades, we have a grand celebration, to throw, a soiree of blood, fire, and death, it is a celebration of young Madeleine's birth, and a celebration of what we are. The stage shall be this little town."

Lay down the plan for our brethren.

The basic plan we lay out is that we, that means just us as our blood releases noxious fumes when burned, taint the water pots. While we do this the others infiltrate the town and locate leaders, organizers, any who would organize the people and prevent panic. We'll give them details. Heavy hitters do what they can to prepare to block off major pathways once it starts so they are funneled into paths too small for so many people

The signal to begin the festivities is seeing flames erupt as we leap from building to building, burning and leaving a cloud of poison as we go. To stave the flames some shall throw the tainted water upon it and spread them further, it shall be gorgeous. We'll focus our efforts on the poor district, where houses are thatch and wood, where they are ramshackle and built close together. It is only right that the poor burn first. But it shall spread, oh shall it spread.

Us and Toto are the most talkative ones so we'll play the part of "rescuers". We shall take disguised forms and tell those we save that we saw black and silver robed figures lighting the fires, that they must have been the ones who burned them. Should our little Madeleine be up for the task she will accuse the Exorcists of this crime using her disguise as a Finder.

With all of these hot spots, should you excuse the pun, the Exorcists ought to be separated. Make sure our new friends know that the exorcists ought not be fought alone, should you find one they are to howl and lead them on a merry chase to give its comrades time to converge on them and join the fight.

Woo, woo, woo!

So hey, for our level 2. In this story, will we still look somewhat mechanical, or will we be more "organic" like in the manga? It always irked me how the looks of the level 2 Akuma never really meshed all that well with the 1st, 3rd, 4th and Giant Akumas' appearances.

Sing a song of twelve-pence, a pocket full of rye,
Four-d-twenty exorcists baked in some bread,
When the bread served up they began to spook,
Wasn't that a tasty dish to set before the Duke!
>>
>>25372683
We retained memories of who we were, right?

It would have been nice if we had enough time to get Madeleine a little bit smarter, at least enough to share what she knows with us on the Exorcists in town. At the very least, I hope she's intelligent enough to point out to us where their lodgings in town are.

>>25372766
And by who "we" were, I meant the person who got killed summoning the soul of the dead person (Though I think we remember both the body and the soul's?).
>>
>>25372735

I figured it'd be more of a hybrid showing a mix between organic and mechanicakl features with a more heavy lean on mechanical.

The charm that I've always found that Akuma have are that they're pretty much murder-bots that end up completely self aware and have their bodies evolve to fit their preferred method of genocide. I may be making modifications to the lv 3 form to draw more uniqueness to it... And as I've said before lv 4 will be primarily plot-based... /if it occurs at all... I'll be throwing around more of my own touches on things as I have been.

>>25372783

The base memories that the Akuma has without any assets to its personality are pretty much general knowledge, the most basic that they need to know to go through their general routine. Madeleine may know a bit about the other two exorcists, though it would be good to be mindful that she was still just a rookie...

>>25372773
Lovely... You could also use rye in the first verse and "baked with some Brie" in the second. though it's pleasant and timely either way.
>>
>>25372683
I can't wait to paint the town red once more. We've got a large order to fi-
Holy shit amazing idea just hit me.
We can plant poisoned bread in the church. That way when the exorcists try to grandstand by being "charitable" handing out food to the survivors, a day later when the pentacles appear and people start dropping- we can call them out on their bullshit because we're a baker. We've literally been on a baking binge since the exorcists arrived, we'll have more than enough bread to poison.
>>
>>25372814
All I really want to know from Madeleine is there general location (where they've been staying during their stay in town).

Anyway, we can definitely use "Teresa" as a "hostage" to draw out the two Exorcists. Or at least, that's what I would want to say, but considering she's a newborn, I'm not sure she could hold back long enough to let them get close to her before transforming and attacking them.

WOULD it be possible to have her act as a "hostage"?

>>25372845
We may not have the time. Who knows WHEN they expect their finder to check in with them. Unless Madeleine is coherent enough to tell us how often they check up on their assistants, we may have to act soon to capitalize on our new recruit.
>>
>>25372814
So, as "Toto" (are we going with that?) pointed out, we've always been "different". I know that's because Claire/Jacob/Akuma-chan is the player character here, so of course we'd act smarter than a normal Level 1 Akuma. But what in-character reasoning can we give for our "enhanced consciousness"?
>>
>>25372887
Bread. It does an Akuma good.
>>
>>25372857

It... could be possible... though we're also talking about people that made it their life-long goal to destroy Akuma and thwart a very good man's ambitions... The finders as well, willing to stake their lives.

It could prove dangerous.

and a lost finder... hmmm.. Yes, that'd be a tough one to explain...

Duke, you bastard. I love you for this. But I also hate you a little for it.

>>25372909
Alright, another question. Now that "Toto" is in a more reasonable state of mind, has he already started getting some quirks of his own? Which would be interesting, considering that he has the soul of a child.

Hate me for it? I understand, I hate myself a little for it as well.. However, like many an anime, D-grayman does have points of humor here and there... I figured the least I could do was see it as a chance to inject a bit into it as a whole.
Likely in the future, it will be less referency, but it's a simple start...

Oh, and the terrible baker's pick up lines... that was the real start.

Toto does indeed have a couple quirks of his own, though I can't just tell you what they are after all!

The thread's been archived by the way! <3
>>
>>25372988
I wasn't being serious when I said hate. But yes, that "bun in the oven" line? Euuuuugh. But I like anachronisms like these, as long as they aren't thrown around too often.

Also, you mislabeled it. It should have been Akuma Quest 3, heh.
>>
>>25372988
I anticipate getting to know Toto as well as Madeleine's growth. If we're going to see Ariel's Innocence in use again later on, it just won't do for its old user to fall behind her successor.

Oh.

They really need to allow some sort of editing for these things... A right shame, but nothing to really worry over.

>>25373036

There will very well be some time skipping after you torch the living hell out of this town. Plenty of time for them to find a new person to wield it and train them properly.

Plenty of time for Madeleine and Toto to grow as well... And that's not to sell Akuma-chan out short...

This is it though... good night.

I'll check back here in the morning! Though it'll likely be gone since we're saging again...

Oh well! <3

Sweet dreams, Duke. Thanks for the game.
