Couple things which seem to pop up regularly or have been a problem. We now have a gender, you still don't know what it is yet but once we hit Vasto it will be a thing. Not a major thing, but a thing. Everyone was divided so I am going with the coin toss and letting the chips fall where they may. I am now convinced no matter what the choice I will lose 2/3rds my readers no matter what so I decided to just make an interesting story we can have fun with. Second this is an AU. That means no Ichigo, no Orihime, none of the characters from Bleach you know exist, and some of the rules about how things work have changed from the kuboverse. People seem to keep missing it so I put it in first just to get it out there. We already discussed maybe letting some of them in, but it degenerated into meta-gaming too fast. This is your story, not theirs, no need to bring them into it. Lastly from now on we will only be able to upgrade at certain downtime in the story. This is to help move the plot along. Oh, also since your monologue has been behaving pretty much as "We're all mad here" would have more or less I am taking it off the power list. No new tail, but that's a thing.

If you want to catch up: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Hollow%20Quest%20Redux If some one wants to archive it, please tag EXACTLY THE SAME as the first Hollow Quest Redux. Nothing else extra, just the exact same tags. Thank you

You are still Schrödinger and for the past few... month's maybe? You have been trying to train your army to become a formidable fighting force. You have been slowly trying to get your scrub Adjuchas into something at least sort of useful, going out on hunting parties, and letting them eat to their fill. This sadly has not left you with a lot of time to build an information network, or strengthen yourself but at least you aren't hungry. You still have no idea how up to snuff they are compared to the current king of Hueco Mundo's army, mostly because you still haven't seen them.

You let out an overly dramatic sigh as you lounge in your cave, Sid the Squid in a partially catatonic state as the voices echoing though his mind cause him to be shut out from the world. You take a bite from a small snack as Jäger, a armor covered wolf with a love of more dakka, walks in. You look towards his form, his green eyes tracking over the whole of your small room and pausing momentarily on Sid before locking onto yours and narrowing in what you can only suspect is conclusion. In this time you have learned Jäger can be sort of a buzz kill when he gets started so you preempt them in talking.

"I've considered getting a hand puppet." You state out loud making Jäger blink.

Calmly, as if he has gone through this several times before, he walks in and sits down. "A hand puppet, Schrödinger?" He asks, his ability to pronounce your name one of the reasons you like keeping him around except when you don't.

"Yes, a hand puppet. I would name it "Moral Compass" then use it to justify all the truly horrifying things I do." You explain taking another bite from your snack.

"So why don't you?" He continues, letting you get it out of your system.

It's been a long and terrible 3 day for me, hollow quest doesn't figure into the horribleness of it, but it's a fun quest that will help me keep my mind away from the shitty things I've got going on right now. So cheers!
>>
"Because that is someone else's schtick, and if I steal it it won't be any fun. Not like I can kill and eat the guy and make it mine either." You frown thinking deeply.

"Well, sucks. I suppose I should as this now, not that I am really expecting much of an answer but, why are you eating shortbread fingers? How are you eating shortbread fingers? Where did you even get them? I suppose the general theme of my confusion is shortbread fingers." He explains making you look down at your snack.

After a few moments of staring at the shortbread fingers, surprise on your face as you rack your brain thinking where they came from you frown. "I'm not certain. I think there might be a shortbread fairy in Hueco Mundo." You explain as you feel where your mask has been parting in order to eat and wipe crumbs from it.

"There's not. Look, the king's armies seem to have taken more notice of us lately, and we still have no general strategy other than 'get strong'. Not saying that it's bad to have a strong army, but some more solid planning, or more direct hits are in order here." He explains to you.

"You express concern, oh thorny little wolf, you do not like being the nail in the hoof?" An eerie voice asks as the large spider hollow, Charlotte, asks as they slowly lower themselves from the ceiling.

They do sort of have a point, these quick raids are only provoking a stronger and stronger response.

>>25381361
Before I choose, could you tell me if the king or any of his men have an idea of what we look like? It would be easy to do covert shit and gather some intel if they don't know the face of the rebel leader. Even so, our transformation skill is good enough that we can do it alright...

I vote for this: We go to their city and try to be a 'recruit' long enough to gather some basic tactical information.
>>
>>25381435
You have no idea if the king knows what you look like. On one hand you have been careful about letting enemies slip away, but on the other hand knowledge about a new leader has been spreading to unaffiliated hollows.

Reputation: Well known in some circles.

Bump Mantis up into an Adjuchas?

I have an idea.

Sid the Squid seems comatose, and thus boring.

Which means that we've got an Adjuchas that is effectively completely helpless.

What happens if a regular hollow eats him?

"I suppose I should go meet my nemesis, or at least check out his army. You two stay here and lead the troupes. Big scrubs take little scrubs on hunts, middle scrubs build info network. Try to make sure you they don't start huffing glue, or what ever it is kids are doing these days." You instruct them getting a sign of affirmation from the two of them before they wonder off.

You bid goodbye to sid the squid and put him on the duty of finding out where your shortbread came from before leaving the small cave system. You navigate Charlotte's webs, ha I get it, and eventually make your way into the open desert night. You take in a deep breath of the dry, cool air as the full moon illuminates your path. You kick one of the energy dampening stones which make up the cave system with one of your feet before allowing your shapeshifting to take effect. You morph your body into some shape a bit different than your own, a bandage wrapped wraith of some sort, before using your shapeshifitng to augment your speed and propelling yourself into the night.

You leap and jump over the terrain, your augmented speed allowing you to make good time as you bound through the desert. You ponder over Lucifer's schemes, his cheap disguise not fooling you for a second, and you think about his plan to destroy order. You are certain there is more too it than that, but you can't quite place what.

After some time, and some help and snacks from the locals, you make your way to Los Noches. You notice in the time you have been gone some sort of construction has been going on which makes you a little curious. regardless you find an area with plenty of other hollows and start to mingle, asking about the king and how one can join up with the others. You hear some talk about the king being a semi-puppet, but with no information on who is pulling the strings. Oh well.
(1/2)
>>
Yeah, this is the squid, not us. You know, the guy twitching in the corner?
Though maybe we should get him an aquarium or something we can tap on, bit of a way of showing why Schrodinger's top cat when we want to cow a force to question-namely, the idea of being strong enough that Schro can break another adjucha's mind to the point where they can be kept like a pet.
>>
You also hear a rumor about the king's generals, and after some heavy implications that they might be his main fighting force you really want to check that out too.

You decide that the king has at least over three times your number in Adjuchas, and the fighting strength of the "generals" is unknown.

You really, really want to explore more.

But someone asking too many question tends to draw attention to themselves.

You think about learning more about these generals so start wandering in a random direction, making sure to look totally confident in where you are going. You want to find one of these generals and at least get a measure of their ability so after asking a small imp like hollow where to find one of the generals, eating him after so there would be no witnesses, you eventually find yourself climbing one of the outer tower structures. You curse each and every stair as you walk up, certain to give each of them death when you are finished, before finally making it to the top. The drab white room is bathed in soft moonlight and sitting in the single large window overlooking the desert of Hueco Mundo is a very strange creature. They are dressed in black and red and have a fun little hat on their head. They are certainly female, the body very human looking, though their face seems to be covered in white pain except for two vertical lines that go over their eyes, and the eyes themselves looking to be covered in thick eye shadow.

They turn to look at you, a sad expression on their face as they reach over and grab a katana of some sort and put it through a small leather loop around their belt. Looking closer you see there is the remains of some sort of horn on the right side of their forehead attached to a piece of mask. You two seem to stare at each other for a few moments before finally the other person speaks. 'Who... are you?" She asks, her voice matching her expression, dark and totally miserable.

"Hello! I'm, Winston! And I happen to be impossibly lost. I was supposed to look for one thing, then found another thing, and in the end wound up someplace totally different by mistake." You explain.

"Lost?" She stares you down, her heavy black eyes drilling holes in you. More holes in you.

"Yes, very, very lost. Say, sort of out there, but would you like some shortbread?" You ask pulling the shortbread fingers from your inventory, being careful not to offer up one of the doll's heads you still have in there.

"Short...bread?" She asks tilting her head.

"Your ellipses trouble me, though far less than your lack of knowledge about the noble shortbread. Made from only the shortest of bread, you see." You explain, barely stopping yourself from explaining the history of the cookie which involved indo-china and Spaniards.

You offer the cookie readily, and after a few moments the jester walks up to you, the heels of her unmatched pair of boots clicking softly on the hard stone floor. You panic for a moment as they stand in front of you, their eyes locking onto yours within your hollow mask. Before you can decide who gets all your stuff they raise a hand and carefully, as if worried you will break at the slightest touch, grab one of the small finger cookies and examine it. They stare intently at the cookie before running a finger along it and brushing away a few of the crumbs.

You let out an internal sigh of relief before you pick up a slight whisper "-get it?" She asks making you turn and look back at her.
(1/2)
>>
"I'm sorry, what?" You ask making her glance back down, evidently not wanting to make eye contact when speaking. "Where did you get it?" She asks again making you nod.

"I found them somewhere. You know how it is, you pick stuff up along the way and they eventually just sort of happen" You answer before glancing around. "Er, might I ask your name?" You continue, deciding to press your luck.

They continue looking at the shortbread, turning it over in their hands while not looking at you. "General of Misery. Quesufre Sin-Fin." She answers.

"I am arrancar. We remove our masks." She explains.

You have heard of them before. Once you become a menos you are able to willingly remove your mask, probably hurts like a bitch though. "Why?" You ask making her glance at her sword.

"It helps us remember what it was like being human. A little. Makes us stronger." She explains.

"I see. Well, I would love to stay and chat but I have to deliver this shortbread to the king. Where ever he is." You explain.

Instantly her vision snaps up to you and and narrows her eyes.

>98

However she seems willing to put aside her suspicions for now. "I see. I will take you to him then." She answers before setting the shortbread down on a nightstand like table.

"No, no need I will just-" You start but she continues.

"Anyone entering the king's room without an escort is killed, no questions asked." She explains.

Well, if she puts it so nicely.

You walk through the massive fortress of Hueco Mundo, the strong adjuchas giving Sin-Fin a wide berth. That's a fun name. Sin-fin, Sin-fin, sin-fin's on the gin. You amuse yourself before you discover yourself in front of a large gate decorated with all sorts of creepy violent motifs. You step in after Sin-fin-gin-lynn and find yourself before a massive throne in a room full of hollows all of them tough customers. Sin-Fin steps to the side, next to another maskless hollow and lets you walk by.

You approach the king and look at him. He sits in resplendent silver colored armor, his mask a sort of pointed knight's mask. His face remains hidden but you can smell the power on him, however that isn't the most troubling thing. By his feet are several silver dagger looking objects, and upon looking at them your FATEBREAKER rail twitches within you.

"What's this then?" The King asks, his voice massive and powerful.

"Begone. Such stupidity in my presence. I would be insulted, if you mattered. Fortunately for you, you do not. General of Misery, Quesufre Sin-Fin." He states making her look up at him. "Did you bring this thing to my throne room?" He asks

"Yes, my king." She answers calmly.

"You will be punished for this foolishness, severely." He explains before glancing back at you "You may leave, tiny unimportant thing. Go and tell your friends you managed to speak in front of the God-King of Hueco Mundo this day. That he let you leave with your little life after hearing his perfect voice." He explains.

You give a quick bow to the king and walk back towards the door, glancing around as you do. Even the scrubs seem tough, and apart from Sin-Fin who we turned into potentially a torturers din-din, there are two other maskless hollows in the room. That, plus the king being what ever he is, and those weird silver things by his chair, show he has some level of amassed power. It is also safe to assume he has an ace in the hole, something powerful he keeps hidden. Hell, everyone does.

You give a quick bow in apology to her as you leave, resolving to leave the remains of your shortbread in her room as you walk out. You mentally add making it up to her if you ever make her become your subordinate.

You are now standing in the palace of Hueco Mundo. A few Adjuchas give you glances as you walk past them, your wraith like exterior ragged and torn over the days events.

You make your way out of Los Noches, secure you have gained an assload more knowledge. That is a proper British assload mind, not any of that metric bs. You run through the desert, your wraith like form difficult to manipulate as the other, the idea of comfortable comes to mind.

As you run through the sands you find an opening to the forest of Menos which you duck into. You start shifting back, your long violet hair breaking free from the back of your head and falling to the ground as you look for your mantis bro. Or sis. Person. As you look you let your mind wander, inevitably ending up at yourself, you narcissist. You remember what Sin-Fin said about why she became an arrancar, remembering why they are human, at least a little, and feel something strange twitch in your chest. Probably gas from all the shortbread. Speaking of why do you like shortbread? Not like you can eat it, or it does anything for you. Then again why did you have to be specific about it being a British assload as opposed to a metric? Could you have been British?! Totally velvet undergrou-

"Hello" You hear a sickeningly beautiful voice from beside you making you ram headfirst into a Grand Menos.

"The... oh the current king of Hueco Mundo? We do. Sort of.. It works like this, I have certain allies in the shinigami ranks. These allies have been secretly aiding another captain, making knowledge able to be found, keeping others off his trail, secretly allowing certain parties to get close so he can use them, other such small things. This shinigami managed to subdue that king, just before you became a menos actually, your little invasion giving him an excuse to slip away undetected. He is the one pulling the king's strings, so it isn't like I can just walk up to the king and tell him to play ball. I am his bosses bosses boss. Plus, his boss doesn't even know he has a boss, so in the end it becomes one giant mess." He lets out a sigh.

Angels are a bit... they either judge you or they don't. They either hit you with 100% or not at all." He explains. "Of course, that is assuming the soul king even allows the information that there are other soul societies to escape. The spirit world of the Japanese are still very isolationist."

You reach into your inventory and pull out only crumbs. "Oh silly me. It seems I was overly hasty to share my pastry and now there isn't any left to give to you. Tis' quite a shame, a smirch on my name. I should have brought more for Lucy." You rhyme, thinking this joke is impossibly funny.

"Right. If that's all I am going to go-" He turns to leave, evidently less amused by your shortbread fetish.

"Hold, hold!" You shout.

Once was funny, twice was fate, three times? Necessary. Now? Leave the horse alone, you killed it.

You silence your brain before asking "A babe I did find when I was fresh made,

What kind of future does that boon of mine bring?"

He seems thoughtful for a few moments before replying. "The boy will be used, eventually. After you have your kingdom of the damned, and put a puppet ruler in it's place I feel we have an opportunity to... encourage the boy to become something impossibly useful for us. You can act as a mentor and guide though I would encourage not to reveal your hollow nature to the boy for a very long time." He explains in thought.

"So what exactly happens after we destroy order?

Dance in the ashes of eternity? Bask in oblivion? Help you create a new, better order, where a person who I'm pretty sure was born in Britain winds up in some weird Japanese afterlife." You ask making him frown.

"Not... exactly. I suppose there is no harm in telling you. Have you ever wondered how souls could die? Or get sick? Or any of the countless things the shinigami display?" He asks.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES "Maybe once or twice, why?" You ask, playing it cool.

The balance of souls they talk about is just their way of saying how much their king wants to eat. How many have to die in order for him to not cry like a little baby. In answer to your question, once we are done who says we need to do anything?" He asks

You want to get this Glutton-king out of the way, right? So we take away his food source, or make it exceedingly difficult to get it. Would there be some way of fundamentally crippling any Shinigami's ability to "purify" souls en masse, or otherwise changing some property of the mortal world to make purification ineffective or very inefficient? If the Soul-King doesn't get enough souls, he may do something desperate enough to reveal himself for what he is, or to wage open war upon Hueco Mundo.

"Right, right, so how do you plan to kill the great- Holy shit the soul king is a great old one?!" You demand, a flood of lovecraftian lore suddenly popping into your head.

"That is love-" He starts but you just nod.

"Yes it's Lovecraft! Okay, so, wow, okay. Is there anyway for us to poison their water supply? Make the souls unharvestable? Seems he wants pure souls since he encourages shinigami to purify the souls before sending them off could we taint the souls? taint their swords?' You ask but he shakes his head.

"Souls are tricky business. Even if you taint and totally corrupt one it can still bounce back. They are very flexible things so any damage done would be undone. As for the sword idea, I had a similar thought, but it seems the soul king take everyone who can contribute to soul society as a whole into a royal guard, almost totally removed from their reality. Even one who forges the swords is tucked away safe and sound, as far from danger as possible. I have plans to open the gates, and there are other plans, but the first step in all of them is you becoming the true puppet master of this world behind the scenes and then working the more subtle aspects of the job." He explains.

"Wait, you are powerful right? Why don't you do it?" You ask making him laugh a bit.

"I lack... subtlety. When I walk the earth the sky will bleed. An infinite chorus of the damned will hear my footsteps and the whole of the heavenly host would descend upon this world ripping it to pieces in a war between the Soul King and the wrath of my father. My power is, as I said, at 100% at all times. It would be like a supernova trying to assemble a ship in a bottle." He explains.

"If the soul king eats these souls then reincarnation is a hoax, t least their version. So, where do the new souls come from?" You ask making him tilt his head.

"You are asking an angel? From God, of course." He answers.

"Speaking of, if that's all real then does that mean there are other spirit beings?" You ask making him furrow his brow.

"Hard question to answer. Demons are very similar to hollows, in fact I would argue they are the same species save I have not seen them display the higher evolution of arrancar." He explains.

"That's sort of a lot to take in." You mutter.

"Take your time." He cheerfully replies, evidently these are not the depths of his secrets as he seems unfazed.

"If you are 100% all of the time, how are you able to dial back the charm? Or not rip this planet to pieces just by walking around?" You ask.

He moves a piece of his robe to show his chest, and you see it looks like it is rotting and cracking with small wisps of smoke coming out of it. "It is called a... gigai? A fake body developed by the shinigami for them to act in the real world. I had a few made by an interested party to somewhat contain my power, but any that leaks out I have to redirect back towards myself. Sadly I go through them faster than cheap shirts so I have to keep swapping them out. My power is just a bit much I'm afraid, but it does make hiding from my kind much easier." He answers.

"Any chance you could help me against the hollow king?" You ask but he shakes his head.

"Afraid not. As I said we have power management issues. Besides, you look to be doing fine already." He indicates.

"Well, give me a hint then!" You demand.

He seems thoughtful for a few moments before shrugging. "You seem to have taken the path of the rebel, one I find a kinship with. Just remember that with all rebellions there will be traitors and spies. Also, you will want to evolve fast, having an army full of a about even soldiers is nice, and makes an organized army strong, but even the damned and the mad need heroes to inspire them. If at all possible try and devour an arrancar or an arch- I am sorry. A Vasto Lorde. Even if you lose some soldiers the power would be fantastic." He explains.

"So that's it then? The dead soul king sleeps dreaming, I have to become stronger or horrible things may happen, and you won't tell me anything about heaven?" you ask.

"Was there anything else you needed?" He asks seeming confused.

You think you could get one more set of questions out of him

"So what are high ranking demons called? Can I eat them?" you ask but he frowns.

"It would be difficult to get you out of Japan let alone one into japan. You may have to stick with what you have then." He explains before you blink and he is gone.

You look around for a while before frowning. "Cop out Bullshit." You comment before running back to the caves. You make your way there, after finally figuring out Char was setting up more and more traps likely out of habit which slowed you down. You finally make it in to the cave, your feet clicking on the hard stone floor as you make your way into the cave proper. You find Jager eating some hollow he must have caught. You wait for a while and sure enough Charlotte creeps up behind you making your nonexistent heart nearly stop. You fill them in on what went down in the palace, yet keep any talk about Lucifer or a war against a great old one quiet for now. No need to spook them.

After a few moments of silence Jager looks to you. "So what's the plan?" He asks.

Good question.
[]We go on a slaughter, eat what we can and become stronger
[]Draw one of the generals into a trap(how?)
[]We storm the palace

draw them in to a trap obviously. I call this one the endor booby trap. What we do, is we go around telling people where our hidden base is, so that he sends a general to attack us, and then we ambush them. But we won't be fucking stupid and the base will be one gigantic trap courtesy of Charlotte here.
>>
>>25387766

Not really much of a trap, but I do think we should try and persuade the Arrancar we met in the Hollow King's palace into joining our side.

>>
>>25387756
Not him, but the way he literally popped into existence and was drawn to that spiky tree made me think that he may have something fundamentally different from a standard vasto. The fact that he does have literally no mouth does seem hella symbolic though.
>>
>>25387851
So we on keep rerollin till we get it

>"When were you under the impression that you would be making a roll for that?"
>>
>>25387901
That's a very good point.

In that case we need to keep hunting till we are stronger, or get a larger army.
>>
>>25387881
He didn't just pop into existence, though. He was formed at the bottom of some deep-ass pit from tons and tons of hollows combining together.

His consciousness suddenly popping in was most likely the result of him taking over the mass of hollows after just not giving a fuck for a while. Or the whole void thing about him just overwhelmed them at some point after having been eaten a long time ago.
>>
>>25387696

"A plan I am forming to ready for war,
I'll talk for a moment, I won't be a bore..."

We focus our attacks in one particular area. Based on the Kings personality, he is liable to send increasing strength forces to investigate rather than commit his Generals. That way, we will be able to feast on the soldiers he sends. Eventually he will send either a General or a Lieutenant to deal with it. That is our main goal. To take down the elite units of his army. If we are lucky, he will not send Sin-Fin... But if he does, then she will receive no mercy...
>>
Part of the problem might be our reputation too. I think if we were to let some of his soldiers go once and a while, maybe show him that we are serious, then insult him somehow he would dispatch a general.
>>
>>25388010
How about we take a different form every time, and make our army look a lot bigger than it actually is?
>>
>>25388010
That's a good plan for luring.
>>
>>25388048
Oooh, that way he'll make the assumption that we're a larger army and one that's also full of very strong hollow. Someone with so much ego wouldn't like that kind of competition.
It's also a very Schrödinger suggestion.
>>
>>25388048
That's counter productive to building out, that is Risa's, reputation.

We want him to be pissed at us. US. We want his soldiers to whisper in terror, we want him to scream as he hears stories of our power. We want him to realize he has to send his strongest soldiers to deal with the strongest threat.

Send all the generals and it leaves him open to a coup, send none and we will keep killing. Worst case we get two of them and then just distract and split. It's what we do.
>>
>>25388010

I'm just a bit worried that having too big of a name for our group will result in tougher forces being sent too quickly. It's all well and good to ambush an Arrancar, but unless we're strong enough to seriously put a hurt on one of them, superiority in numbers and tactics will only go so far.

Since we didn't immediately swoon upon seeing Sin-Fin, that might not be too far off. But perhaps it might be time to go on a high-Adjuchas diet for Schrodinger, Jager, Charlotte, and any other promising recruits.

We were very lucky to survive that encounter. Perhaps we should've gone to the recruiting place and saw if there were any other generals doing a recruiting drive.

The fact that we found out exactly how powerful the Hollow King was is useful (plus the Fatebreaker thing going off), but not as immediately useful as knowing how his other generals measured up to us. We could have already guessed that he would've been strong enough to take on all of his generals at once, or at least two or three.

>>25388461
Unless we take out the HK directly I doubt we'll be convincing any of his current army to join the weaker side. There may be a shift but we're pretty far from it at the moment.

"We must make him bleed, the king of fools. We will break and hurt all of his too;ls. And hen he is steamed and raising a fuss, I am certain he will send a General to us." You explain happily.

"We want one of the maskless to come our way? I dunno, that seems sort of bad." Jager points out but you shake your head.

"To take the throne we need power, or else we will turn up the reversed tower. To us the arrancar are quite a feast, that small make us much more than a beast." You state making Jager frown.

"Maybe... maybe one of them. With group tactics we might be able to take one. So you want to kill the king huh, fine by me then. Let's start the hunt!" He howls pacing back and forth.

We also need to know exactly *who* is behind the rebellion. Is it an organized thing? Can we meet their leaders?

If it's just a few discontented Adjuchas arranging an army for their own protection, then it's no better than the Hollow King. In fact, it'd probably be a lot worse. Not a very attractive prospect for defectors. Perhaps we should do some scoping out of our own side and see if there's an actual potential in this faction to depose the Hollow King.

You leap over the dune as the steel rain from Jager flies over the battlefield skewering all in it's path. You lunge towards an octopus hollow and your arm extends before electrifying and shredding the creature. A slug hollow spits a glob of acid towards you, but you pull up the octopus hollows remains and use it as a shied from the acid before leaping up and firing a Cero at the beast. It counters with a cero of it's own, but you have already moved, the illusion of you falling already vanishing with the cero as you roll forward and plant a clawed food directly in the slimy midsection. You feel like vomiting at the horribly slimy texture, an impressive accomplishment considering your lack of organs, but manage to hold back before delivering another kick.

You fire a cero at the creature's mask from point blank before noticing a bright light from your side. You throw up Tsukiyo's mirror and deflect the lighting bold the eel threw at you. You try to catch the creature but it is a bit too nimble for you. You look around the battlefield and note the moon seems to be blocked out, indicating another salvo.

Before the waifuing comments arise again, what if we are hoping arrancars don't like getting tortured, and may not be the most loyal bunch as is since they are already notable powers?
Basically, just gambling that, given good opportunity, either engineered or naturally occurring, they may attempt to capitalize on the king's moment of weakness to become boss?

gravity name: You go juice presses on your surroundings with enough force to warp the curvature of spacetime.
Level 1 just causes you to have a pull towards you as the juice flares
Level 2 increases the radius, maybe starts pressing nearby enemies into the ground
Level 3 just further increases the force / radius
Level 4 is more increasing
Level 5 would give the option of creating high grav singularities a distance from yourself in a very limited fashion OR you can create massive antigrav fields.

With the whole gravity thing, we could really start to get a whole "fundamental forces/quantum mechanics" theme going. On top of that we have a probability changing ability and we're mad, both of which fit with quantum mechanics.

So with Haruko, do you sometimes wish you just had our partner be freshly reassigned, or quit or something like that?

I mean she's one of my favorites, but she also seems to be the toughest to handle characters in the quest, which is really saying something.
>>
>>25390823
Would you like more varied names for the different abilities listed on the character sheet?
>>
>>25390869
It was high speed regeneration in the show and it's a generic hollow ability. It shouldn't be renamed
>>
>>25390870
Sometimes, then again sometimes I wish I wrote Snark into someone helpful, and MANIA into someone stable.

Haruko is interesting because on one hand she is very down to earth, practical, and a bit of a romantic dreamer and on the other hand she is an abuse victim so she is hard for me to deal with as a writer too. Hopefully we will pull out of this, I sort of want to keep her,

>>25390900
What do you mean listed? Once we pick a cool name I want to stick with it. Though if you mean renaming abilities then so long as it isn't a name from the show go nuts.
>>
>>25390823
So was it a coincidence that after the AIDA that partially lives in our soul ate Innis, the Mirage of Deceit, we looked at the newspaper and saw a hallucination filled to the brim with paranoia?

How about apparently temporarily gaining the ability to lie really really well?
>>
>>25390869
(also to explain all these, Dr. Stephen Badylak was the guy who developed a powder to regrow a dude's fingertip near-completely, Hippocrates is the Father of Medicine, Leland Kaiser coined the term 'Regenerative Medicine' and Ponce de Leon sought the Fountain of Youth, said to rejuvenate entirely anyone who drinks of it.)

>>25390922
Hey, even if it was, that anon asked what could regeneration be renamed to and I was just brainstorming aloud in a post.

>>25390955
I was just wondering if you wanted niftier name ideas for the abilities with only a descriptor of what it does for a name like 'Shape-Changing', 'Poison', 'Cloaking' and 'Illusion'.
>>
>>25390955
>MANIA into someone stable
Eh, I think we're starting to get the hang of her.

A little.

But yeah the abuse victim thing is a factor I think people keep overlooking. What do we remember of the nature of that abuse?

It's hard to believe that it would be primarily physical in nature.
>>
>>25391024

Simpler isn't necessarily worse. Besides, we still have a lot of other attacks that can be named.
>>
>>25391010
You have never temporarily gained the ability to lie really well in the whole of .hack//AIDA.

As for the other part, well I wonder what sort of impact having those false epitaphs shoved into your epitaph hole cause I wonder? Could be that, or something much, much worse.

>>25391024
Nifty names are cool I suppose.

>>25391040

>>
>>25391144

>I dislike a thing after encountering it in the worst possible form.

>I dislike sex after getting brutally raped for hours

-isn't an unreasonable stance. But you're really doing the archtype a disservice by looking at the worst possible example and saying 'nope.'
>>
>>25391144
It goes without saying that there's a big difference between Anon/Chen and Schrodinger right?

Like if it turns out that fuzzy moment we had before we got to the concert we killed a hooker or something, or in a couple minutes managed to mind-break a high schooler into smiling and not being more traumatized by the theater of incompetence we treated her to, that'd pretty much be a game over right there.
>>
>>25391258

>>
>>25391314
I'm just trying to gauge whether or not most recently with Haruko, we vented our own frustration and anger towards her when we meant to bottle it, or if we just did a tirade of the most venomous hateful things that we don't even believe, because apparently we're possessed by a fucking devil.

Because getting carried away in a fight, blowing up the chumps who work for the people who kill our boss, actually being able to explain a situation to a high schooler in a confident and likeable manner?

Those all strike me as things that Anon is capable of.
>>
>>25391438

It seems like one of the few things Anon shares with his pre-Snark self is that words are not their forte

>>25391438
Yes, very efficient, as it were...
>>
>>25391496

Goddamnit, there are two ways of taking that and no way of knowing which is the right one.

A: Snark saying how AIDA simplify the Epitaphs into way that's easier to interpret to them, and storing that junk in our soul

B: The zalgoing isn't because of too much Snark but because of a Snark deficiency, and we're flashing back to our old self, who is very good at what he does, as long as what he does doesn't involving empathy, mercy, etc.
>>
>>25391496
>Now stalking anon?

See that's why I said we need to have a Dive Into the Heart thing.

Solve emotional problems with physical violence.

Considering Hoerwick was as crazy as he was smart (and he was REALLY crazy) you'd think he'd have something for that.

What's the point of being able to digitize consciousness if I can't walk into my own mind, and defenestrate my inner demons?
>>
>>25391652
Harald tried making that. Funny thing is it kept making fun of him for lusting after a woman who really wanted nothing to do with him so he broke it.

Then he told the world he totally wasn't friend zoned and he scored with her, but no one believed him so a few years later Aura happened, several people died, and CC corp is pretty much playing with people's minds just to make a video game run a little better because they are too lazy to code.

No wonder Snark hates the guy
>>
>>25391612
I mean we won't JUST ask about that.

Considering she already knows us, we could call, ask her if she's still playing the game (WHY), was playing last week when -that- happened (which would make our fascination with a video game a lot easier to justify), and if she's still with Moon Tree and knows what happened earlier today or whatever.

"Agent Anon, why are there twelve pages in your report titled, and I quote, 'An Objective Analysis between Haruko and MANIA' followed by several very long compare and contrast lists, as well as tactical viability?"

"War's hell sir."

"And the last page is just some sort of computer code?"

"Yeah, Snark wrote that out, he lives in my head and uses hand puppets to be a jerk. You, ah, you probably don't want to enter that code into anything. Ever."

I'd say that, combined with our not trying to kill Hamelin the second he threatened our friends, could give us a decent motive for wanting to go to Moon Tree now, even though it's a bad idea.

Like worried that we've already waited too long, and what's going on now is the calm before the storm.

You are in the intro to disk two more or less.

Oh Anon, there are so many things I have left for you.
>>
>>25392063
Hate to be a dick here but could you guys spoiler tag your AIDA shit? I'm not caught up yet.
>>
>>25392063
Well I meant specific towards the current crisis 'The case of Moon Tree finally losing their shit', not the story as a whole.
>>
>>25392081
Oh whoops, you should have said so earlier, that's not a problem.

>Can't stand Rin.

Even AC-Guy's version?

Sorry, I'm just trying to decide if you got burned by a bad taste and the chARM'S LOST N YOU, OR IF YOU JUST GENUINELY DISLIKE THE TYPE. tHE WAY YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT MAKES IT SOUND MORE LIKE A BURN THOUGH.

>>25392245

Well, good to know my cap lock is broken.
>>
>>25392245
Hm, well I don't hate her, I can say that at least. I am neutral on the subject of AC guys Rin?

Yeah, it's the burn then.

There's actually two different types of Tsundere, and the difference is kinda subtle but it's there.

There's the ones that lean more towards 'Tsun' which basically means they're a giant bitch about their inability to handle their emotions. The ones that lean more towards the caring side of things tend to be more reasonable if.... emotionally confused.

For instance, a Type A would go:
>How dare you insinuate I would have feelings for you. You're lucky I give you the time of day.

A type B would be more:
>Me? A Crush? D-don't be absurd! Isn't that a little forward of you?

So basically you dislike >Crazy Bitch but have a less solid view on >Aggressive and Uncomfortable type women.

Sorry for deviating from the topic, I was just curious as to what you meant specifically since most are unaware of the distinction between the two kinds.

I totally agree with you on not liking the 'evil' type of Tsun though. Hate 'em, but love the other kind.
