LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Gundam+AGE+Quest

Check My Twitter for Updates and Reschedules: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Dirk Crocker and things are finally starting to look up. After a Vagan attack, finding out one of your friends was a Vagan spy, and nearly being sliced and diced by the Magicians 8 your Uncle Hogan and a rather impressive looking ship arrived a few hours after your sister Scarlet called for his assistance.
Before heading down to greet your uncle, you spend a moment eyeing the ship. It’s quite obviously developed from the Diva Class but there are a lot of differences, particularly the GIANT DEMOLITION BLADE sticking out of the front. It’s like something out of a space opera anime!

Maybe everyone needs to stop spending so much time with your father…

You go down to the dock and walk in just as your Uncle Hogan walks in off his Pirate ship.

How will you greet your Pirate Uncle?

Well Dirk?

With a manly epic handclasp leading into an arm wrestling match. Which we lose spectacularly, because we are a scrawny nerd. But it's the thought that counts.
>>
"Ahoy, captain Hogan! It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Then do >>25419160 only for the big guy to begin laughing madly and lift us off the ground in a bone-crushing hug.
>>
Ask him if he's found anything interesting recently.

"Ahoy, captain Hogan! It's been a while, hasn't it?" You stride up to your Uncle and throw out you arm, clasping his hand in yours as if your going to get into an arm wrestling match.

You're only kidding of course, your Uncle could easily break your arm and pull it out of place with very little effort. Still, that's why it's so damn funny.

Hogan lets out a laugh, his beard and large build makes him seem like Santa Claus as he picks you up and gives you a bear hug.

You manage to break the hug before your Uncle snaps your spine like a Slim Jim. Once you are back on your feet and you've caught your breath you ask your Uncle a question.

"Find anything interesting recently?"

"Sorry little guy not much. We did find this trashed Diva-Class and patched it up. Apparently it was a prototype they were testing out a little too far away from Big Ring"

"What's it called?"

"Meh, the original name was something lame, Archangel or something. We've decided to call it the Baronche instead." Your Uncle grins, seeing your interest in the ship. "Want to know more?"

What would you like to know about the Baronche Dirk?
>>
>>25419629
Does it do anything cool? Did you guys get new MS? I heard Black G-Exes and G-Bouncers with a Skull Face and Pirate Motif are all the rage.
>>
>>25419629
"Is that thing on the front what I think it is, and more importantly can it go fast?"

I wonder how much power they can squeeze out of this machine.
>>
>>25419629
"Archangel. Yeah, that does sound lame."
"Anyway, tell me everything. That thing in front is a giant heat blade, isn't it? And I see some Vagan tech on it."
"Wait, is this that ship dad was working on, supposedly the combination of a Diva class and a Fa Bose class?"
>>
>>25419629
"Uncle, I want to know everything!

Tell me its specs, what its equipped with, what strange prototype technology they used, what makes it unique. I want to know everything Uncle! EVERYTHING!"
>>
>>25419629
"What's with the sails? Are those radiator fins, are is it just part of the pirate aesthetic like the Jackedges?"
>>
>>25419629
meta mode: If the graveyard is that graveyard given all these Seed references, then Lowe Gear's brain drive has to be in there somewhere! Find it and revive it! For GIANT EXCALIBUR IIs!!!!!

Also, it's totally the Dominion and not the Archangel.
>>
>>25419777
I think Crosswire said it was just an in-joke back when we first went to visit it. Still, no reason they couldn't find remains of some Red Frame analogue suit. Though I'd rather have the Caletvlwch that it has in Astray R. Negates stealth systems and controls the atmosphere around the mecha, all in one neat swording package.
>>
>>25419842
Considering how we only visited one of the possibly many graveyards, we could eventually run into something similar.
For all we know, there might be another EXA-DB, or a lost colony or something like that.
>>
>>25419629
"Any new goodies the Feddies were testing on it?"
>>
>>25419869
Hell, we could develop it independently. We're working on nanotech right now. The Caletvlwch is basically just a primitive utility fog system. We could probably rig something like that up.
>>
>>25419897
Possibly, by Gen-3. To make nanotech we need more time, and materials, and upgrading the AGE Builder. But we totally could make it.
And it'd fit with all these King Arthur references we're throwing around. Cue Rena looking like Saber from Fate/Stay Night or something.
Also, did Jake name his next-gen suit Arthur?
>>
>>25419956
My worry with the Arthurian theme is what we're going to call our equivalent to the AGE-FX? We have to have one eventually, no way are we letting the third generation Asuno have a monopoly on ridiculously powerful protagonist mecha. But what sounds right for an ultimate mobile suit with an Arthurian naming theme? We've already used King Arthur and Merlin. Percival, after the knight who found the Holy Grail? Avalon, after the place where Excalibur was forged and Arthur brought to heal from Camlann? Maybe Mordred, the killer of Arthur, if it turns out that Sergeant Arthur is still alive like some people have been theorizing?
>>
>>25420069
The Future King?
>>
>>25420069
Galahad? Avalon?

I kinda thought that Jake eventually drops the naming convention for something like Lucifer, fitting with the Black Devil theme. Especially if we combine it with SID and get beam spams that tear ships to shreds. But if Arthur is alive, he probably gets the Lucifer, a pitch black Gundam that's on par with or stronger than SID or the Vagan Gear.

>>25419956
To your Knowledge Dad is still using the Crusader Gundam, you haven't heard anything from him about developing a new suit.

>>25419877
>"Any new goodies the Feddies were testing on it?"

"Mostly it's just a lot of Vagan Technology, Light Propulsion/Plasma Hybrid Engines, enhanced sensor arrays using Vagan Designs. Nothing too special, but it makes for one hell of a ship. Firepower is a little low, but it seems to have some stealth capabilities. It can jam most sensors like nobody's business."

>>25419691
>"Anyway, tell me everything. That thing in front is a giant heat blade, isn't it?

"You bet it is! It's a Anti-Ship Demolition Blade. It can slide a Fa Bose class clean through...but it's kind of dangerous to use. If we come at the wrong angle, the wrong speed or do anything stupid, it would probably end up killing everyone on board. It may not be a double edged blade, but that's what it is in the long run"

>>25419668

>"Can it go fast?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Yep. It can cut the travel time to anyplace in half, and it's still got the standard protection of a battleship. Twice the speed with no sacrifice in protection!"

>>25419663
>"Did you guys get new MS?"

"How about I show you?" Your uncle escorts you and Scarlet into the ship, showing you to the hanger were you see 6 suits. 3 are obviously based off the Shaldoll, another based off the G-Exes, Another based off the G-Bouncer and one appears to be a AGE-1.

Before you or Scarlet have a chance to ask, Hogan holds up it's hands. "It's just an enhanced Adele. Take off all the crap on top and you have an AGE-1 Underneath."

Well Dirk, what do you think?
>>
>>25420800
"Uncle, I like your Mobile Suits, very well rounded group. Send me the data on them so I can take a look and maybe improve things.

But there's one problem, you need more Dakka on your ship. A ship without Dakka is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, without jelly."
>>
>>25420800
The Federation must be pissed that they can't find these guys. Ask them how they feel about working with us for a while.
>>
>>25420800
"What's with the weapons on the AGE-1? Is that some sort of arm cannon claw thing? Looks cool, anyway.

"Also, nice work on making their heads look like tricorn hats. Now I feel less silly for making the Merlin's head a wizard hat, if other people are working with that style."
>>
>>25420800
"Low firepower? On a battleship!? Sacrilege! We must fix this immediately!"

Needs moar dakka. Maybe some long railcannons. A pair of 400mm Railguns the length of the catapults should fix it.
>>
>>25420952
We should also put a spinal mount railgun running down the blade's length, if we can do it without sacrificing integrity. That way we have a really heavy gun for fortress bombardment, and if we ever need to we can ram a target and then fire our cannon right into their insides, Macross-style.
>>
>>25420800
"Those suits are awesome. You mind sharing the data for them? I guess me and dad could improve something on them. Or make some improvements based on them."
"Speaking of improvements, dad got some new toys for the Camelot, maybe he has something that'd improve your firepower. Or stealth, or detection, I don't know,"

"Just... Are you guys okay working with us on the defense of the colonies? I mean, you're wanted criminals after all."
>>
>>25421023
Awesome idea.

Could we perhaps fit a photon cannon inside it? We get a space ship firing sword beams from it's tip.
>>
>>25421023
It's design would allow for something like that rather easily...I like it! You know after looking at the Baronche, Jake is gonna upgrade the Camelot again, if he hasn't already. The Diva-Class's catapults lend themselves towards spinal mounted guns.

>>25421088
I don't know. Photon Cannons are pretty bulky. A spinal-mounted railgun would be more energy-efficient as well.
>>
>>25421088
Do photon cannons still need AGE Builder support to function? I figure the AGE Builders were just a stopgap measure to deal with something that needed a lot of energy and processing power to run properly, and you could probably make a dedicated system for it. If we had more ships with doom lasers, it would be a lot easier to deal with Vagan assault fleets popping out of stealth.
>>
So guys, when and if we get that lance-type weapon working, we should call it Rhongomyniad, in keeping with the Arthurian theme.
>>25419629
>makes him seem like Santa Claus
So I guess we could say that Uncle Hogan is Santa, with muscles.
>>
>>25421138
It doesn't have to be a photon cannon, just wanted to see if it was possible to make the sword into something more than just a ramming device.
We could add multiple weapons on it, including a spinal-mounted railgun, and maybe a couple more.

>>25421145
I think it requires the AGE builder, as to why, I don't know. But we definitely need more of those.
We could make a death laser for the Baronche easily - considering the size of that blade, and the energy needed to activate it, we could make a cannon that uses all that energy as a concentrated beam.
>>
>>25421249
As long as we don't mount anything to the blade itself. Looking at the first picture more closely, there appears to be at least 24 missile tubes along the blade, 12 per side.
>>
>>25421370
Didn't mean to mount anything on the blade itself, but it's spine (that thing holding the blade).

>"What's with the weapons on the AGE-1? Is that some sort of arm cannon claw thing? Looks cool"

"Really?" Hogan smiles, looking quite proud. "Thanks, I thought of the idea myself when I went out for lobster. It's a four bladed claw arm with a 90mm Rail-Gatlinggun. If the claws don't rend the armor, the Gatling Gun will. Still need a good name for it though..."

>>25421038
>"Just... Are you guys okay working with us on the defense of the colonies? I mean, you're wanted criminals after all."

"Just because we're criminals doesn't mean we have rocks for hearts Dirk. Our bone to pick is with the Federation, not the colonies." Uncle Hogan says with a frown.

"No I didn't mean that, I meant are you sure it's safe to be here in the open like this? I mean don't you have bounty hunters trying to capture you and freeze you in carbonite?" You say, pointing to the 5,000,000 Credit bounty hanging on the wall behind him, adorned with Hogan's face.

"Oh...well the bounty hunters have been total losers so far and it doesn't look like the Federation Forces are going to really pass through here. Just about everyone and everything is concentrated at Big Ring."

"Yeah, besides if anyone shows up we can just have Mrs. Woolf say we captured the ship and are using it ourselves" Scarlet points out, looking rather excited.

"What are you so happy about? I mean you like mobile suits but..."

"No, it's not the mobile suits, it's the idea I'm going to have a say in organizing the colonies defenses! It's going to be like one big table top strategy game!" Scarlet grins eagerly and stares off into space.

"Uncle, I like your Mobile Suits, very well rounded group. Send me the data on them so I can take a look and maybe improve things." You ask eagerly.

"Sure, I'll get one of my crew to give you the data."

"By the way Uncle, I notice your ship lacks firepower. A ship without Dakka is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, without jelly."

"We focus on speed and mobile suit strength, more firepower might severely slow her down. We lose speed and the Federation and Vagan are going to have an easier time shooting at us" Hogan warns. "This ship is a perfect balance. We start adding too much crap on and we might shoot ourselves in the foot"
>>
>>25421584
"Fair enough. It's just that I see a big ramming blade like that and I can't help but want to put a big gun in it to shoot the enemy from the inside. Though I suppose that would be utter overkill."
>>
>>25421584
"Well, alright, I suppose you know what you're doing. Though I still think a bit more wouldn't hurt. It wouldn't be hard to place a railgun down the spine.

So, how's the pirate business been going lately? Anything new with you?"
>>
>>25421584
"You know your business better than I do. I guess using too many guns wouldn't leave much to salvage, eh?"
>>
>>25421579
> four bladed claw arm with a 90mm Rail-Gatlinggun
Uncle Hogan would be a great Ork Warboss.

"I suppose you know what you're doing. It's just that I see a big ramming blade like that and I can't help but want to place a big railgun down its spine to shoot the enemy from the inside. Though I suppose that would be utter overkill, and it wouldn't leave much behind to salvage. Anyway, how's the pirate business going? Something new with you?"
>>
>>25421649
>>25421705
"Well I guess speed is important, but why not put a railgun down the spine?" You ask, Hogan shaking his head.

"It would probably compromise the strength of the blade. With an MS blade I could understand, but we're dealing with tremendous amounts of strain and force when we ram the Demo Blade into another ship. I wouldn't feel very comfortable putting anything that significant in the blade..."

"What about placing a beam emitter on the tip?" You suggest.

"Hmmmm, I'll think about it."

>>25421940
>"You know your business better than I do. I guess using too many guns wouldn't leave much to salvage, eh?"

"Yeah. We salvage everything we can find and sell it. We're in a time of war, so business is booming. Everyone buys from us, Madorna, the Colonies, hell even Federation Supplymasters from time to time. Hell, the only people we don't sell to are the Vagan, for obvious reasons."

You and Hogan catch up a little, talking about how you STILL can't understand a goddamn word that comes out of his son's mouth. Arnold may be a bright guy, but he speaks like his head and mouth are full of rocks.
>>
>>25422348
"Uncle, I just realized something. You haven't seen my new MS or Scarlet's new MS. They're awesome! You need to see them, this way."
>>
>>25422348
>>25422362

What would you like to do now Dirk?
-Explore the ship and leave Scarlet to fill Hogan in on the details.

-Examine the mobile suits closer and try to brainstorm possible upgrades or equipment.

-Show Hogan your new mobile suits and bring him to Dad so you, Scarlet and him can have some fun together.

-Or did you have something else in mind?
>>
>>25422386
Bring Hogan along to see your new suits. While we're at it, fill him in on the situation.
Is Arnold around? We don't want the big guy chatting up our ladies, after all.
>>
>>25422386
I'm >>25422362 and I say we

-Show Hogan your new mobile suits and bring him to Dad so you, Scarlet and him can have some fun together.

Get the data from his MSes first and we'll trawl through it while showing him our stuff, comparing specs, and goofing off with Dad.
>>
>>25422386
We still need to test the new Gundams. Let's show them off to Hogan and Dad. Bring Mom along, too, if she's available.
>>
>>25422386
>Explore the ship and leave Scarlet to fill Hogan in on the details.

Find that pirate booty. The son will succeed where the father failed.
>>
>>25422725
Would Dirk even know what to do with pirate booty? I mean he's already accidentally obtained a cutie engineer ace and had no idea what to do.

Actually, you make a good point, he can get some pirate booty as well and not notice.
>>
>>25422799
He isn't even going to notice that he has a harem following him around, is he?
>>
>>25422874
Not until Rysis pops up again and mocks him about it.
>>
>>25422458
>>25422428
>>25422419
>>25422362

You decide to show Hogan your new suits. Pirate and Defense stuff can wait till your gone, besides Scarlet will probably have to go over everything anyway so why try to do a job you aren't going to be here for?

As for Hogan's son well...Hogan has no idea where Arnold is. He's somewhere on the ship, probably napping in on some pipes or hiding in a janitors closet. You'll bother him later.

The drive back to the HQ is a pleasant one and once you arrive, things only continue to get better. Calros begins to crack horrible pirate puns, Dad and Hogan begin talking like pirates and Woolf asks where the "Booty' is before Scarlet and Rena threaten to tell Mrs. Woolf that he's asking that.

He quickly shuts up just as Rysis comes out. "So, I heard that your after that Rena girl to. You're making quite a collection young man, although you'll need at least three more before you can call it anything..."

Your response Dirk?
>>
>>25422988
"...whatcha talkin' bout Rysis?"
>>
>>25422988
"Not to worry. I can build anything I'm missing."

By which I mean Gynoids and Nanomachine colonies.
>>
>>25422988
"Auntie, I have no idea what you're talking about. Rena is a lovely girl, she knows her engineering, and is a great pilot, of course I spend time with her, I'm not after her or anything. I'm not trying to collect anything or anyone.

Are you trying to imply that I'm an oblivious harem protagonist in the making? Because I'm obviously ... fuck. I'm an oblivious harem protagonist in the making. Auntie, are you going to be the token robot/cyborg girl or am I going to have to build my own out of nanomachines?"
>>
>>25422988
"Auntie, please stop trying to live vicariously through me. Why don't you ever do this to Scarlet? She's got entertaining interactions with the opposite sex, too. And why do you have such a specific number for that?"
>>
>>25422988
Be very, very confused.
"What are you talking about? What collection?"

Then notice Rena's face turning bright red, Scarlet grinning like a madman, and Jake giving you two thumbs up. Lose your shit and get adorably awkward.
"What? No, seriously, no, why would you even think that? I mean, she's nice, and smart, and funny, and I like her and why the fuck did I just say that? Uh... FUCK."
>>
