Good Evening Gentlemen! I return to you again! <3

And so, the story of our very dear murderous toy continues...

Our very dear Akuma-chan... Now known as Faefnir
Forged out of a once-baker's soul named Claire... A pitiful woman that had been strangled to death by a beggar for her creation of love.
Called back by her since child-hood friend, Jacob, that had always looked upon Claire fondly, oh so fondly..
Once I granted the dear her body, she killed the man out of spite for turning her into a delightful monster!

And so now, she wears his skin and kills humans in secret to spread the despair that gave her this wonderful second life!
She has also continued baking bread. <3

Welcome to the quest of the Akuma, Good Evening... <3

This is the story thus far!

These are your current stats and abilities as of now!

>A little note, I altered Ivan's appearance here.

In our very last telling, your pack of Akuma successfully set the castle-town of Temes aflame, burning many, many people alive, killing them woth smoke and so on... Your new demonic kin wrapped up the mess with something of a little tea-party to celebrate the evolution of you and your Otouto, Ivan to level 2.

During the bit of festivity as the town tried its darndest to burn itself down, you received a visit from the Good Doctor that made you all!

With your new body, do the good Doctor's work, Dear Akuma-chan...

Evil things are watching you after all...

This tale of evil continues..

Fuck yes! Good evening, Duke! Let's commit some horrible acts of violence and tragedy.
>>
What's the deal weeb quests?
>>
DOCTOR!

I was almost afraid you wouldn't come to our appointed schedule.

Question: are awakening noah vulnerable to dark matter?
>>
A smile splits across your often kind-looking face even as you bow," Why, of course we would be honored, Oh great doctor!" You snap your head to the rest of the lot and hiss through your teeth to Madeleine and Kamatachi who aren't currently bowing,"Show some goddamn respect, you worms."

They bow out of fear for you, and even Ivan that had snapped a very similar look.

"If, I may ask Doctor... what should we look for to find them?"

The man twirls his cane before leaning on it a touch," My family... Well, you will simply find them based upon the stigmata that rests upon their foreheads. seven crosses, and if they're just awakening, blood from them. They should be coming around soon I'm afraid... and I simply can't cover enough ground to be certain... of them... You've done more here than I could've hoped for as level 1 Akumas... Now let's see how this family develops, hmm?"

"And where should we look first, my good lord?"

"Alas, I am also not quite sure of that... You have Ruinebriar five days from here, Florin by seven... London twenty days to the south.. Leeds roughly thirty days... It'll require so searching.

Ruinebriar is more of a trading outpost with a few farms and some houses. they get by with a vineyard and production of wine.

Then Florin is a bit of a larger town, smaller than your very own Teems, just another thought...

London... well London is where the castle is... Though I hear the Royal Family are often guarded by a high exorcist... Quite powerful.."

"The choice is yours, I'm sure that you'll find success wherever you go! Oh, and I hope that you all stay inconspicuous to some degree.. Anyway, no time to dawdle... Time for me to go!"

The Doctor lifts up his cane, keeping the black bread under his opposite arm and floats away upon a forming umbrella.

That just seems to be the way that he gets around...

The other Akuma seem to be in awe, and excitement pours out from them from this most important mission...

Before a Noah fully awakens they are just regular humans. That's the thing. When a member of the family dies, someone somewhere in the world awakens as a Noah to replace them. The memories of how God betrayed humanity and wronged the clan burned deep into their bodies and souls.
>>
>>25423549
Because of this quest, I have finally started watching the undubbed anime episodes. It feels good.
>>
>>25423648
I guess we should then ask around for rumors of people with stygma appearing on their head.
>>
>>25423623
Ruinebriar. Sounds like a place we'll meet Tyki Mikk or Road in. Either of them would be great in a fight.

>>25423682
Read the manga, it'll feel even better.
>>
>>25423623
Hmhmmm... Let's go with Ruinebriar or London. They seem to be the most likely places, with the most people passing through or living there.

AU, mate. Different Noah. Though... Road IS the Noah name of Road Kamelot. I'm pretty sure Tyki is Tyki's human name.
>>
>>25423623
Let's start with Ruinebriar.

What direction are all of these from us? If we go to Ruinebriar would Florin be closer to 2 days or 12? Would London be closer to 13 or 27 days, you get the idea.
>>
You know, with our skill at gambling, I am starting to think we could amass a lot of money, and use said money to offer a reward to anyone who can give us information on signs of a Noah appearing, like the stygmas.

We would need to setup a base of operation in a large city.
>>
>>25423856
That would draw INSANE amounts of Exorcist attention.
>>
I'd suggest not London, simply because there is probably quite a few exorcists there.
>>
>>25423868
Maybe they don't know about the stygma. Not many people know about the noah, not even the exorcist.
>>
>>25423886
The Bookmen know all about Noah.

Bookmen? Bookmans? Bookman? Difficult word to make plural.
>>
Kamaitachi is the first to try talking, that is, if her mouth weren't full of your delicious Black bread," Mmmgd gsshhh, mmmphm mnn mmmphr!"

Schwere slaps Kamaitachi in the back of the head and the machine starts to choke on bread," Don't speak with your mouth full. We can't understand you." She says dryly, her vision snapping to you and Ivan.
"Faefnir, Ivan. Where should we g-"

"That was the doctor wasn't it! Ohhh He's sooo handsome!" Madeleine's voice rings out, and she squirms beneath her white robes like... like... You're not quite sure what she's doing with her hips.

Schwere glares at Madeleine," Don't speak when o-"

"Yeah, that's what I was saying! That was the doctor! He was so cool, I think we're his favorite Akuma, yeah? Ohh!" Madeleine and Kamaitachi clasp the hands together and both start hopping, spinning around and jabbering on.

Armbrust clears his throat," Schwere... You.. were saying something?"

The mage sits on her rump," Yes, where will we be going first? Out of the places, my memories only show London and a place called Bristol... Though I'm not certain if we want to go there." Her voice is nearly monotone, hard to believe that she's actually 1.5 now...

"I'm not sure, we should start with the closer places first though, right? Double-backing will only waste time after all." You mumble with a bit of contemplation. Without immediate concerns of bread, justice, or the fucking homeless, your mind works surprisingly well.. Especially since you hit LV 2.

Ivan is the next to speak,"Comrade, that is sound reasoning.. I remember that Ruinebriar is not far... and it would put us closer to another place known as Florin. Though both are North, and London will be to the south. What is your decision?"

>Ruinebrair and Florin are a waste of time, to London We go.
>[] Ruinebriar it is then.
>[] Florin first, we can hit Ruinebrair afterwards.
>>
How will you travel?
>[] In demon form, it is the swiftest way.
>[] We will walk.
>[] Try for horses from the farms.
>[] (Other)

>>25423928
There will be bookmen.
>>
>>25423928
The bookman is neutral and will often side with the disadvantaged side. In the manga the previous bookman sided with the noah.
>>
>>25423934
[X] Ruinebriar it is then.

Let's stay out of big places for now.

[X] Try for horses from the farms.

Get some horses, a wagon or two, maybe a carriage, put a pile of valuables in the wagons and bam, we're merchants, nobody looks twice at a ragtag group of peddlers. We can even sell our bread along with other goods that we "acquire" from the burnt town.
>>
>>25423934
>>25423942
>[x] Ruinebriar it is then.
>[x] Try for horses from the farms.

Traveling on horse is realistic.
>>
>>25423942
Move at night in beast mode, staying off roads, but in human mode during the day.
>>
>>25423813

Niice. Though my thoughts had a bit more eastern Influence upon Faefnir's lv 2.

It's pretty much an inbetween without a completely serpent-like body.

The Chest is a bit stronger overall to contain the oven. Though I do like what you've done to keep it from appearing too clunky overall. With high points in agility, and few in Strength and durability, it stands that it's not the most brawler-esque.
>>
>>25423934
Ruinebriar. It's a trading outpost, tons of people pass through there, and will be one of our best bets. And we should walk, in my opinion.
>>
>You also have 810 exp to spend.
>>
>>25424093
How much does Smoke and Heat Magic cost?
>>
>>25424093
Shouldn't we increase strength or durability? We are a bit weak in the physical department.

Increasing devils luck might also be a good idea, because so far it has saved our ass very often
>>
>>25424102

That, requires another upgrade of fire.

I'm seeing that it's set for Ruinebriar.
And 2 for horses opposed to 1 for walking and 1 for alternating walk and demon-form.
>>
>>25424093
Where'd we get the exp? Did the good doctor gift us with power for a job well done?
>>
>>25424154
Change my vote to the horses, I guess.
>>
>>25424154
Okay, I say we spend 500 on Furnace Heart, 200 on Leadership, and leave the 110 there to save up for other stuff.
>>
>>25424154
Count on more for horses.
As to the upgrades I agree with>>25424186.
>>
>>25424264
Meant 'one more'
>>
>>25424186
Yeah, I can agree to this.
>>
>>25424315
One question, however. How much does it cost to upgrade Creation Oven?
>>
>>25424330

Ah, certainly, I missed something.

200 exp. I'll fix that..
>>
>>25424330
if we upgrade creation oven enough can we make mini golems and stuff?
>>
>>25424330
I say we go with multiples of 2. 200 to 400 to 600.
>>
>>25424330
Indeed, we must bake more unrighteous JUSTICE for all to consume!
>>
>>25424363
ooh, scouting eyeballs and stuff. that would be neat.
>>
>>25424363
I'd rather have a bread that pollutes the mind of humans and make them serves us.
>>
>>25424363
>Bread golems
>>25424389
Well they are the same upgrade path, yeah?
>>
>>25424389
>Human ingesting Dark Matter

...wouldn't that end up explosive or something?
>>
>>25424402
Turn them into living bombs? I can dig that too.
>>
>>25424402
It may depend on the recipe, though they may get food poisoning all the same.
>>
>>25423549
Something wrong with the Strength description. And did we upgrade our Agility? Last I remember, it was at level 4.
>>
>>25424472
Or did it just naturally progressed as we evolved into Level 2?
>>
So idea for our Black Bread; could we crush them into bread crumbs and release them into the wind for people to accidentally inhale?
>>
>>25424491

Natural progression due to "speed-type."

Fixed strength, thank you!
>>
>>25424577
So, even though our Strength is still at level 2, it got stronger anyway because of our progression?
>>
>>25424166
We got it from killing the last Exorcist. The good Duke rewarded us belatedly later in the thread.

So. What should we do with our 810 exp.

Smoke and Heat magic both cost 0 exp for some reason? Why is that?

Also, let's go ahead and upgrade our Pressure Cannon. The price isn't listed, but I'm assuming it's 200? Considering the price increase for the other skills (like how Strength now costs 300 instead of 200).
>>
>>25424705
He answered the Heat/Smoke question here >>25424154

And I suggested we get Furnace and Leadership earlier here >>25424186

Considering the advisement of Ivan and Schwere, you look over at the two oil-brains hopping around in a circle still yammering about how amazing the Earl is.. At least Schwere isn't like that.. "We will go to Ruinebriar then, if there are no objections?"

"None from me comrade." Ivan nods.
"None here either, it is a logical start." Schwere stares on, saying nothing more.

Annnd the two oil-brains keep jabbering on... Up until Kamaitachi calls Madeleine a "Fucking bitch!" and slashes at her with an arm turned-sickle, only to be blocked by a plated arm from Madeleine's own self.

"ENOUGH!" You roar out, your voice like a dragon.

The two female Akuma quickly part their weapons away and stand at a nervous attention.

Ivan chuckles," So, how will we be moving?"

"Horses, It'll be easier to move. We can get a wagon even and seem as merchants. Ruinebrair is a trading post, yes?"

"Ideal plan. The farms should still have some horses, unless survivors have taken them. We should move quickly." Schwere looks over the flames of the burning town and past the wall.

The occasional scream of men, women and children burning to death still fills the air along with the occasional creak of wooden supports giving way to the heat.

"We should be hurrying before they are all gone, eh?" Ivan shifts into his Akuma form, crouching low and springing ahead,"Off we go then, eh comrades?!"

You change into your dragon form and glance at the other lv 1.5s. Madeleine seems a bit distraught by the state of the fire now," Bah, I'm gonna get burned going through this. Could you pleeaassse carry me?" The Demon in human's skin winks at you as if trying to seduce you.

"Useless." Schwere whispers as she floats in her demon-mode, kicking off and hovering over the flame.

Kamaitachi chuckles," Heh, you scrub, look at you!" The crazy demon blows a raspberry before running down through the streets, parting the flames with wind.

Madeleine looks up at you, lip quivering.

Did we take care of our family yet Duke? If not, we should give them a warm goodbye before leaving
>>
>>25424760
[X] "Fine..." Carry her on out.

If she tries anything we're throwing her at the destination.
>>
>>25424760
Pfffft.

Okay, we're carrying her. But not on our back. She gets to be flown in the most uncomfortable position; with our arms hooked around her shoulders.

>>25424797
Also what this guy said. Let's make a small detour.....
>>
>>25424810
Then we drop her on any humans we get to once we reach our destination. At least make her weight useful.
>>
>>25424797
We'll need to do it fast before any of the others realize what we're doing. What excuse should we use?
>>
>>25424832
Tell them that we're picking up some momentos and goods to help our cover. Then we'll go to our family, seal them in, and fill it with poison.
>>
>>25424832
Why would they object to us saying our final farewells to our family?

In fact, it would be rude not to introduce them before we leave....
>>
>>25424853
That's not a very nice goodbye. I mean they make wheat, and that qualifies them to live.
>>
>>25424853
I have somehow a feeling that our little bro could be useful. Maybe he has the potential to become a skull...

I'd say we leave one of them alive and hope an akuma is born.
>>
>>25424904
Yeah. Let's go ahead and do this.

Also, how are Skulls created?
>>
Why not have a tearful goodbye from your family with Madeline, say there is nothing for you here anymore and that you are leaving with her and her friends who are merchants? If we can use them later, it'd be a waste of resources to kill them now.
>>
>>25424853
Unless we do it in human-form, that's not good on the suffering front--we basically just kill them all without leaving anybody to mourn them. Better to kill maybe half of them (perhaps luring them out to be crushed by the mob, luring some of the mob to kill and pillage the farm), and leave the others to fall into despair (and hopefully call up the good Earl and become an Akuma!).
>>
>>25424922
You take a human and use black magic on them. They are not akuma, more like magic using zombies under the Good Earl's command.
>>
>>25424999
Oh, I remember now. It actually has the chance to kill them, right?
>>
>>25424853
I say let them all live. A good majority of the town just got wasted. They had to have loved ones in the town. With luck they will each of them give the Earl a call.

That feel when our whole family is become the Akuma. So nice...
>>
Let's just leave them alone and head on our way.
>>
>>25425035

That it does.

>>25424967

I have an idea. For killing the family, you could have the others kill them half of them, walk in, while in human form and tell the survivors that they can be brought back by a doctor. Because no one's told me yet that doctors aren't magic! Boom, you have new recruits!
>>
>>25424928
>>25425058
This seems reasonable, moreso if we can kill only one of them and burn the fields. It's wheat, but the Duke is more important....
>>
>>25425094
Lets do that. Kill mom and dad and hope for the best, or the worst, depending on the point of view.
>>
>>25425095
The fields will remain.
>>
>>25425094
mmmmm that's delicious.
>>
>>25425094
...Oh! Right!

That's even better; the other, lower-level, Akuma get some nourishing suffering, and the Earl gets more Akuma.
>>
>>25425094
Brilliant idea, we could even kill them ourselves in beast mode since the others might not be trustworthy when it comes to holding back on the killing.
>>
Bread created from our Creation Oven induces despair in humans, right?

Ideaaaas......
>>
>>25425173
This. Give them a batch as a parting gift. They eat, despair over the ones who died in town, and then give the Earl a call. Now they are all Akuma!

More Earl points is always good, we love the Good Doctor and want him to love us.
>>
You hook your arms under Madeleine's and she looks up at you, a bit confused.
"H-hey, I can't ride on your back?"

"No." You say, irritated. "You're the only one unwilling to deal with this. You aren't BEGGING me now, are you?" You focus one infernal Ocular upon the human-form of Madeleine with a turn of your head.

The Akuma quickly submits," F-fine. Beggars can't choose, as they say."

You dive down from the building and begin to move your wings along with the rest of your body, hefting your wings up and down, blasting away smoke and embers as you make your flight.

The thought occurs to you, there's still Jacob's family to deal with.. You decide... you'll do this alone.

Once over the wall you set Madeleine down away from humans fleeing in terror and whisper to her with a low growl," Meet with the others, I have the most glorious personal business to attend to."

She pushes out her lip once more, "Whaaaat? You won't let mmme come along? And here I thought I-"
"Go to the others." A low growl from you, and the odd Akuma runs off in the direction of Mechanical sounds.

You fly yourself across the fields till you find the snow-laden fields of Jacob's family, the ones that had been your "shield" since your change... You will give unto them the most spectacular blessing... You place a few fresh loaves of black bread to the side and land atop the cottage, putting your tail around it to block the door.

Tearing off the roof, you find the fearful eyes of Mirabelle, the mother, Jack, The father, Harold, the brother, and Audrey, the sister.

They all huddle together in fear, the mother and father protecting their children.
You turn on your chainsaw, for a few pulses, letting the horrible sound terrify them.

It's rather amusing... Their fear dripping down their legs...

>>
>>25425488
Groovy, this
>>
>>25425473
Which is why we're letting half of them survive.

The kids are more innocent and likely to be more susceptible to giving into despair.
>>
>>25425487
Wait, I'm confused, don't the despairing humans call the dead people into akuma shells?

So we kill the ones we want to be remade and then drop the trick on the survivors.
>>
>>25425487
There's no guarantee that they'd call out for anyone other than family.
>>
>>25425544
Well an akuma is made from two people, a shell and a soul.
>>
>>25425587
I thought the Earl supplied the shells? those model things, right?
>>
>>25425611
Yeah but they need a human form for le sneaking and stuff, although I assume they need the shell for other stuff too.
>>
>>25425611
Why are you confused?

A person dies. The Earl comes with a shell. A mourning living person calls out for the dead person. The dead person enters the shell then kills the one who summoned them to take their appearance.
>>
>>25425633
yeah so, do we want the mother with the appearance of her child? vice versa? or what?
>>
>>25425544
The person in despair calls the soul of their dearly departed back from heaven into an akuma shell that MUST follow the Earl's orders, fucking period. And they know that the moment they are called back, cursing the fool who called them back. As they watch helplessly, they kill the one they loved and put on their skin.

The soul is then forced to watch as their new "body" kills over and over again, powerless to do anything to stop it as this "thing" goes about and does whatever the fuck it wants. Being destroyed by an innocence weapon frees the soul. Being destroyed by anything else apparently destroys the soul entirely.

Truly, becoming an Akuma is to be in hell.
>>
>>25425667
Children would be pretty inconspicuous. If we're taking them with us, it'd be useful to have some younger looking members.
>>
You stare down from the destroyed roof, tongues of flame spurting from your mouth with slow facilitated breaths.

"Get away from us... Monster...Leave my family alone..." Jack's voice is shaky, his will obviously broken by the mere sight of you.

You reach a claw down and snatch him away from the children, and just as Mirabelle screams, you snatch her away as well.

You hold the two of them, as your claws dig into their sides, you pull them close , so close that they can see into your infernal eyes,"You are good people, for growing the wheat that makes bread... I shall give you my blessing of death." Your whisper, just loud enough for the two to hear.

They are unable to speak as your claws are buried in their flesh and you soon flick a claw across their throats, slashing them open, you drop the two worthless bodies and slip away from the house some distance, away from the fleeing people to change back.

You grab the bread you set down from earlier and run inside to see the children shaking and crying. Screaming at their dead parents and trying to hold the blood in,"Dad, dad! I.. I... Wish I knew magic! I could help! Dad, no... Please don't!" Harold screams his throat ragged between tears.

Audrey sobs likewise. She's upon her mother, trying to hold in the blood of a woman already dead."Please don't die mom... Please don't die... Please don't die..."

You wear your best expression of horror that you mimic from some of your more recent victims as you walk in, you drop to your knees and embrace both of the children,"Look away, Look away, your brother is here for you... Shhh... "

"Jacob... They're... They're..." Harold Cries, unable to say anything more as he buries his blood-covered self into your tunic.
"Harold... I know.. I know.." You say, trying to calm him down.
"Mom, mom is.." Audrey carries on with her blubbering.
"They'll be alright... We can still save them." You lie, their blood is all over the floor, black pentacles slowly appearing upon the corpses.
>>
"W-what are you talking?" Harold looks at you, eyes teary and red, Audrey the same.

"I know a Doctor, a very good one..."

As magic and mages are a thing in this, skulls are made by sorting through those that have an especially natural affinity and corrupting them via dark magic infusion from a member of the Noah or another Skull will proceed to roll with whether or not they "work."

In this, Skulls will be your Non-Akuma equivalent to mages/necromancers and will likewise also have illusion magic for human disguise.

Learn how the other side lives, think of it as intel! You know more about the enemy, that's always a good thing.

I too root for the exorcists in D Gray-Man, but I can still get into character for this. I am a good man, but I can easily imagine myself as an evil one.

A most useful skill. It is the one true advantage a truly good man has over an evil one in the end. I suggest you practice here. Also, what system is your GM using to render this verse? I am curious about such things.

"Y-you do? A doctor can fix this?" Harold looks at you, the small flame of hope amidst despair.

Indeed, such tidings make humans do such... stupid things...

"Yes, all you need to do is want them back badly enough, and he'll answer. He'll take them back from God if you want them enough. We still need Mother and Father here on earth, right?"

"R-right. I want them back.... What about you Jacob?"

"I'd do it.. but he only does one for everyone, and I've already had mine... He brought Claire back."

Harold and Audrey's eyes go wide,"C-Claire? Is that why you've been going into town so much? Why you have... Had the Bakery?"

You nod, and grab their hands between yours,"Make your wish, wish hard now."

A shadow appears from the missing roof," Seems that someone called for a doctor!" The familiar man drifts down, his Plague mask seemingly smiling at the children.
"Oh? Could it have been the two of you?"

The kids run out of your arms and grab the coat of the gentleman, tugging upon it as though he's Saint Nikolas.

He pats them upon their heads with his gloved hands and laughs like a kind Uncle. "Woah now, woah now... Your parents, you'd see their return, yes?"

The children nod, glance at the bodies and both begin to cry again," Please. please... they're our momma and poppa!"

"Very well, Very Well! Each of you, choose a name to say and they will be brought back!"

> Keeping it Male to male, female to female... Vanilla I see... <3

"Jack." Says Harold, between sobs.
"Mirabelle." Audrey speaks with firm resolve.

"Excellent." The doctor cackles as the words are heard, and with a twirl of his cane the respective skeletons appear with their names etched into their headplates.

The one before Harold, Jack Thatcher.
The one before Audrey, Mirabelle Thatcher.

The two skeletal Akuma bodies stir and Jack screams," Why!? How could you do this to us?! Why would you betray us Jacob?!"
Mirabelle cries," I thought you were our son... When... when did you become a monster?"

The children slowly turn their heads to look at you, a blank expression upon their paling face," J-jacob? What are they talking about?"

You simply smile, showing the true form of your chainsaw teeth and pulsing them.

The children scream.

The doctor puts a hand over one of his ears at the piercing sound," Ah, a bit noisy, isn't it? Could the two of you silence those children? They are yours after all." The Doctor's voice is a touch grim in tone.

The parents cry out in agony as they are forced to move from their restrictions. Jack throws a bolt of lightning at the Akuma in fear, though its small. It gives Jack pause as he returns the favor, a deadly discharge.

Audrey kneels before her mother and begins praying to god,"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingd-"
A claw slashes across Audrey's throat, bloodying Mirabelle's hands ans she continues to ravage the corpse...

The Doctor wipes off the spots upon his coat that the children had grasped him with their dirty hands.
"How... disgusting." He mumbles under his breath, a once-more grim tone.
He looks to you however as the new Akuma begin to affix themselves to the new corpses,"Good work as usual... Quite the busybody, aren't you? Do you have a name?"

You bow before your most esteemed master.

I'll be off, and you do well in your mission." As usual, the man departs with his cane transforming into an umbrella.. You ponder on about how no one seems to walk anymore... it's either flying, a cane-umbrella, jumping, or..

You look at the two nearly mindless recruits before you... The one issue with them, starting from the ground up as level 1... from their killing method, you bear in mind that it must be lightning and claws between these two...

You whistle at the new members of the pack and they regard you with empty eyes, yet full attention.

"Temes burns and there are survivors. Too many if you ask me... Though you're not asking.
Kill anyone that looks or smells like they're middle to low class. We're rampaging tonight..."

The two new Akuma nod, and immeadiately change into their wolven forms. Jack has an odd gadget sticking out of his forehead with rings upon it. . . A very... odd contraption.. A spark jumps from it.. seems it contains the power of lightning..

The Other wolf, Mirabelle has large, blade-like claws and a slightly more armored body... at the very least she can replace Messer's close combat roll after his untimely death... Say... Where does an Akuma go when they die?

You ponder the thought...

No, there's killing to do.

The new-blood meets up with the rest of the pack and the eight of you run down and destroy those that are simply ripe with newfound poverty... even coming across horses that your pack corals into a stable and Ivan guards while the rest pick off survivors here and there, ensuring to keep most of it out of sight.

Now and then, you pose as a fellow survivor and scream that the exorcists are covering up the slaughter...

Ohoh... this should carry on in waves... and have no repercussions whatsoever...

By the break of day, most people are upon the road or dead, primarily the nobles that likely thank their blessed birth for their lives. Likely they would be headed to London.... Though your group will be headed for Ruinebriar...

It is morning by the time the clearing out is done... The pack has rooted out some valuables from the ruins that survived the fire... Mostly swords, armor, jewelry... rather high profile goods... I think we could substitute durability for strength. we're already as strong as a bear, and we're more speed based anyway. If we're fast enough to get our jaws around something, it's pretty much screwed in any event.

Other than that, I agree. No sense in having points just lying around.
>>
>>25427780
Spitz, perhaps? German for sharp and it has a 'speedy' feel to it.

Though I have to say, maybe we should name them for something other than the characteristics of their weapons? Maybe for now, we can call them by their normal names, then rename them based on whatever personality they manifest later on.

"Ivan, Armbrust, You'll act as guards, get yourself some weapons, extra so that Schwere, Madeleine, and I pose as merchants.. Hmm.. of great wealth and esteem at that." You end with a bit of a purr with being wealthy...

Schwere corrects you, dryly," A wealthy merchant hires others to do their business."

"Well, Rising into wealth then." You retort, mildly irritated.

"Madeleine still looks like she's with the church." Schwere makes another observation.

The lady-bot in question looks at her own clothes with some distaste," Ahhh, she is right... I'll need something a bit more..."

Kamataichi jumps on the wagon with the children," Fun?! You want something fun, right? Hmm... I know! We can put some tart clothes on you! Because, you know, you're a huuuuge whore for the doctor!"

Madeleine snaps back, her eyes distorting into her empty demon-form's," Watch your mou- Tart clothes would be endearing wouldn't they... say.. it's too bad that Messer died... she had some realllly cute clothes!" An odd change of pace...

After some time, the Church's robes are folded and thrown into the back of the wagon. No need for them right now anyway.

"So, as I was saying..." You carry on with the interruption taken care of...
"The pups will act as Kamaitachi's, yes?" Ivan interrupts.
"Only if they don't pee themselves!" Kamaitachi calls back from the wagon. She peeks out and looks at you and Ivan," Hey, hey, I don't like that name, by the way. Calll me.... Kama... Just Kama instead."

"Mama." A still bleak voice comes from Harold's body.
Kama turns back, staring down the young boy," No, no. Kama."

"Mama." He says once more.

"Kama.." She corrects.

"Mama." He's not moving.

"Kama," She's just as stubborn.

"Kama." He smiles.

"Mama," She smiles.

"Mama it is then," The child walks away.

The wagon has a burnt chest of Swords, Maces, and Axes, three sets of Chainmail folded up in another, a few dozen bolts in barrels, and finally multiple sacks of grain, wheat, and potatoes.

Perhaps Schwere was correct, you don't seem like all that wealthy a merchant... Just means you'll have to kill more poor people so there are more rich people willing to spend money... or something.. right?

Or perhaps, kill the poor, take their beggared alms and gamble them away for more? Ahh, yes.. that'll do nicely..

The wagon starts on with slightly terrified horses pulling.. likely they had years shaved off of their lives with the events that happened just the other night.

Ivan sits at the reigns in a bit more guard-like attire, similar to Armbrust, whom sits on the passenger-side with a crossbow already loaded, and at the ready.

You recline just within the cover, close to Ivan, and the Children sit beside a "Mama Kama" who's asleep and snoring loudly after chasing the Child- Jack and Mirabelle around with her sickles for calling her "Mama." They're nestled up beside her now, resting peacefully..

Schwere reads a partially burned book, apparently trying to read through the parts that are scorched beyond legibility. The Woman's ntypical cold demeanor ever-present.. though you'd swear that she could just be enjoying that book.

Madeleine examines her own clothing relentlessly, seemingly upset by the "rags" that have become her skirts. She takes out a knife from the weapon's chest and cuts some risky slits up to her knee to show a little more leg. That seems to please her a bit.. You'll have to fix how poor you all look.. The Doctor can't have his favorite toys look like such dirty commoners after all, right?

You grimace as you contemplate and think of schemes to fix that.. and suddenly find the severe lack of a real oven to be nerve-wracking.

The first day of travel and you're already getting a bad itch for those things that you enjoy so much... this'll be a long ride...
>>
>>25428309
> the Children sit beside a "Mama Kama" who's asleep and snoring loudly
Pretending to sleep, right? Since we didn't actually sleep ourselves.
>>
>>25428363
Well, if Ivan was the one who converted the rest of the group, we're pretty much grandparents and the kids are the uncles and aunts.

Not that family really means all that much to (the normal) Akuma.

We upgraded Leadership right?
>>
>>25428363
By that logic, so is Ivan...
>>

Madeleine a slut. Good. Hope she gets a charge out of making boys into "men" right before she guts them for exp.

>>
>>25428374
Pfft. NORMAL Akuma. Those scum wouldn't know justice OR bread from Adam. Ignoring that our lord the Doctor is named Adam, and he is both justice and bread.

I'm considering Madeleine and the kids as our children because we saw to their entire creation ourselves - we personally offed the dead, and we personally convinced the living to use the good Doctor's services. That's as parental as Akuma relationships can get.
>>
>>25428442
Well, anyway, the good Doctor is pretty much the parent of all the Akumas.
>>
>>25428388
She won't even NEED to gut them. Toxic fluids are fun stuff.
>>
>>25428475
Oh, SHIT... I did not need that mental image...
>>
>>25428475
Fun, yes, however akuma poison makes pentacles appears on the victim's skin, so it draw exorcist attention.

Unless she improves her poison until she can hide the effects.
>>
>>25428475
Not that we can't point her towards that direction, but I don't think Madeleine is going to be the subtle type. With arms like hers, we can expect her to use her looks to lure people in before crushing them between her arms.
>>
>>25428522
Can't really hide the effects so much as make the evidence disintegrate faster.
>>
>>25428540
We have the option to remove side effects in our poison upgrades. I guess madeleine could do the same if she leveled it enough.

>>Chemistry(0): You have tapped further into the secrets of your demonic blood! Upgrading this allows for alterations such as reduced or increased time for the poison to reach mortality, allowing for potential survivors, altering symptoms, and destroying side-effects.
>>
>>25428520
Yes you did. Let it stain your mind so badly, that no amount of brain bleach can remove it
>>
>>25428562
Oh, forgot about that.

But we don't really need Madeleine to develop towards that path. We could just give her vials of her own blood. Not like it'll kill her to smother some of our blood on her lips.
>>
>>25428592
>vials of our own blood
Made a mistake there.

January 14th 1400

1st day of travel to Ruinebriar...

The children are getting a bit of an itch to kill, and so is Mama Kama, and Madeleine. Ivan and Armbrust seem to be less perturbed, then again they've been taking turns on the reigns, while the other shoots at wildlife with crossbows.

It may be prudent to kill humans that you come across on the road, even if only to satisfy everyone.

"What are our names?" The Harold-Akuma asks.
The Audrey one holds onto a Mama Kama, just kind of looking up at you.
"Why are you asking me that? Can't you figure out names for yourself?"

Harold looks down, though Audrey opens her mouth to speak," You... made.. us.. So.. you name us... We.. want names... for us... Our names.. We're not.. the humans... We're... We're Akuma.. I am not Audrey... Or Mirabelle. Neither... Is Jack or Harold, my birth-mate. We want... Our own.. Names."

Seems that they don't just want to let this go... They're still a bit stoic... and the Jack one managed to see more action during the cleanup... The Audrey one seems more intelligent though...

>[] Give them names.
>[] Let the others name them.

You begin your most ceremonious naming ceremony for these two new Akuma...

You point at the Boy,"You, Wendel" He nods, smiling, a bit happy.
Then of course, to the girl," You, Kralle." She stares on at you.
"Isn't... this a bit... Underwhelming?"
"What? You have a problem with it? I don't see you naming yourselves. You asked for it.

"It's what he did with us." Schwere doesn't look up from her book as she turns a page.

Madeleine smiles, leaning over and smiling while pushing herself up," He did me first though..."

"He took a bit longer in deciding mine." Schwere turns another page.

"Only because he couldn't decide if he wanted to name you with the way your tits sag." Madeleine sneers at the mage.

"Mine are smaller, and your body is older. If we do age, yours will be sagging first. I wear a brassiere." Dryly as usual, and another page. Is she reading that fast?

"Yeah, well-"

"Shut up back there, we've got company, comrades."

Madeleine glares at Schwere, who doesn't look back. Kralle's eyes begin to change as she smells humans.

You snap at her," Keep control of yourself, until I say otherwise."

The child's eyes revert back and she nods, slowly. straining her will to keep in check.

You peek out from the wagon as it's come to a stop. There are many men and woman with weapons, mostly bows drawn upon the carriage. A single brutish man with two axes upon his back and a crossbow aimed directly at Ivan's chest walks forward from the ambush upon the mountain's road.
"Oi, D'is 'ere's a rob'ry. Throw all ye nice things out th' 'van an' let me men search... An' y' bodies won' be end'n up grub f' th' dogs! Fair deal, eh?"

Bandits, what a joy... They must be watching this road especially since Ruinebriar is a tradeing post first and foremost... of course it makes an ideal road to..

Madeleine smiles maliciously and you actually see a small one from Schwere, the same.

>How will you deal with these bandits?

Not related to the matter at hand, but I think I've got a way for Faefnir to kill time while traveling:

Let's make a cookbook! We've got the black bread recipie, we can start planning out modifications to test out when we re-establish ourselves. We can even add in regular human recipies, like Claire's original bread recipie. We baked like a mofo to abstain from going apeshit while the exorcists were mucking about, one would think we'd know it by "heart" already.
>>
>>25428974
Fucking Akuma.

They should know our heart belongs to the good Doctor already. Yeeesh.

>>25428998
Let them enter.

Have one of our group transform. Threaten him (with death) to get the bandits to lead you all to their hideout.

If we manage to do this, everyone transforms, slaughters these fucking poor bandits, then loot whatever treasures they've got stashed.

"What should we do, Faefnir?"

You let the tension ease from your body, chuckling, and kick back in the wagon. "Go ahead, do as they say, put up your weapons and let them in. The kids can take care of them."

Ivan smiles through his beard before shrugging and turning forward," Alright then, there's a lot of you. You win. We have Grain, Wheat, Potatoes, Weapons, and Armor. Help yourself. There's even Women in the back. Two young an' pretty ones. A little girl too if you're into that sort of thing."
Ivan mumbles under his breath," Sick fucks like that should die, yes?"

"Loving children? Definitely a trait of the poor and haggard. Death is deserved for that crime. And on top of that, robbing wealthy merchants upon the road? Twice the sin in the same man."

"Only, we're not good merchants as all we-"

"I know, Schwere, I know.. let me have this fantasy." You wave her off.

She looks up from her book finally"You... have fantas-" She's cut off by a Bandit poking his head in... a scrawny dirty fuck with fur wraps to keep warm in this winter.. only... they aren't even treated... Dear god, you can smell the filthy poverty off of this man.

"Eyyy, 'E was tell'n th' truth... Cute li'l farmgirl... Eh, heh, heh..."

First Crime: Being poor.
Second Crime: Looking poor.
Third Crime: Pedophile
Fourth Crime: Being Poor.

You need not even move however as Madeleine grabs him by the throat with one hand, madness in her eyes," You'd look at a child... and not... me... Oh... Oh I'm going to enjoy this..."

Fifth Crime: Ignoring Madeleine when she really wants to be noticed.

The Woman crushes the man's throat between her fingers, blood dripping from his mouth and nose only for Schwere to wave her hand and keep the red from falling. "We can't have the goods bloodied. It'll look bad, much like you."

Madeleine snaps her attention to Schwere," Hey, this guy's breasts are bigger than yours.

Generals wear gold uniforms. Why? Because Generals want to paint as big of a target on their back as they can. They want to fight the most powerful of Akuma. Why? Because they can WIN against them easy.

The Church is many things, but stupid is not one of them. We are the type of being they want dead. Read the manga man. This is a very, VERY Grimdark setting...
>>
>>25429542
So either Ivan has a sense of justice, like us, or he prefers that children not be harmed. By anyone other than Akumas.
>>
>>25429592
I didn't bring up Generals. You did.

I was talking about playing dead so that we can follow some bandits back to their hideout.

You talked about putting ourselves in risk of dying against a General. I presume it's because you believe these bandits are a group of Exorcists in disguise with a General heading them.
>>
>>25429592
All important points, cartainly. Obvious targets are always traps. Always.

This? This is but a bunch of bandits. The church may not be stupid, but they aren't overly subtle, either.
>>
Schrewe stares at the man," I have no idea what you're talking about."

Madeleine flings the man from the wagon, eliciting yells from the men outside.

You clap your hands together, "Well, time to make more dough. Shall we? Kralle, Wendel free to attack now.

The children swiftly jump out of the covered wagon, turning into beasts as you see them carry on with running down the men and ravaging them or shocking them respectively.

You hear rapid-firing from Armbrust and Ivan as they take out the bandits at the front, as much as the children have the back.

Schwere partially transforms a hand, an ornb resting upon it that pulsates dark matter.
She flings the blood from the cart and shrugs as she looks to you," I will keep the transport out of the way."
You nod, your tongue of flame forming before your mouth as you begin transforming," Good, Madeleine, with me. We'll need to kill them all.

No survivors."

Are crit-fails, like, -1's? Can they be cancelled with 2 successes?
>>
Asking again, my dear gentlemen.

And please do be polite.

Would you like to turn Devil's luck off?
>>
>>25429865
If you fail hard enough a General will come. Trust me, if you are not level 3 or above you WILL get curbstomped. The last general only lost because he faced an army of akuma ON TOP of 2 noah.

Yeah, we can't swing that as of yet...
>>
>>25429853
Dude, chill. Our QM doesn't want to murder us by dropping a general on us out of the blue, because it would be a slaughter, and that's all it possibly could be. It'd just be boring. we're really not going to run into a general before level 3 unless we like, get triple 6s or double fail-crit and can't retroactively fix one of them.
>>
>>25429889
One for yes.
>>
>>25429889
Can you clarify?
>>25429887
If the answer is no, then I say we deactivate it.
>>
>>25429887

A critfail can only be canceled by a crit-success.
The crit-fail is usually within the realm of logic.

>>25429900
I mentioned earlier that I'm tracking General movement.
>>
>>25429896
Nobody is arguing against you on that.

However, it's insanely unlikely that a general level exorcist is among those bandits, or anywhere enarby.
>>
>>25429889
Yes, turn off
>>
>>25429923
Right, appologies for the meta, Dearest and Delightful Duke, but he was getting to me.
>>
>>25429900
But he can and he'd be totally justified in doing so. Turn on your paranoia drive. He ain't going easy on us and I do not want him to. In Grimdark settings, it ought work both ways.

>>25429930
They wander about. If the GM wants it he can totally swing it without triggering my BS drive. If ye don't believe me on that front you have not read enough D. Gray-Man.
>>
>>25429900
I can see us running into one by accident (crit-fail, plot event, etc.)

But when we rolled for encounters, we only got a normal failure. I doubt we'd get a General Exorcist all up in our business just from that (and that one guy who keeps screaming it is a bit annoying).

The problem here, then, is that we've just gotten a crit-fail from slaughtering bandits. As things stand, they can't turn the tables on us. So they escape. They spread rumors about us.

We'd be considered a threat for the 3 Exorcists we killed. A group of monsters traveling from the area where those Exorcists were killed would be suspicious. General gets redirected to deal with us.
>>
>>25429957
Your strong insistence is annoying to everyone. Be calm, be analytical, don't splerg out, and we'll all have a pleasant time.
>>
>>25429959
Sounds to be most likely. My thought was a finder notices and gets away without being noticed themselves.
>>
>>25429999
WHY would a Finder be there?

Unless rumors of an Innocence hiding around this location are going around, there wouldn't be a Finder here at all.
>>
>>25430030
Peoples' paranoia is running really rampant.
>>
Well, in any event, the consensus is obviously to turn it off. my vote is still to leave it on, but I'm outvoted and I accept that. so off it looks to be.
>>
>>25429987
Says you. Like I said, Generals are our X Factor. They can, conceivably, be anywhere. It's one of the cards the Church can play after all. I bet many an Akuma met their very much unexpected end at the hand of Cross Marian's Six Shooter...
>>
>>25430030
Well, we just burned down a nearby town in which there was a group of exorcists and finders. He could have left the town before the carnage or maybe he's going to meet the other his group in town, not knowing that they are dead.
>>
>>25430030
Finders travel, and last I checked, we're still on the road. I may have the wrong term, but I doubt the Order WOULDN'T have eyes along the roads leading from the town we just wrecked.
>>
>>25430058
Not sure we've hit a full shadow run yet though
>>
>>25430106
Hopefully we never do. This is annoying.
>>
>>25430101
the town is still burning, likely no one even knows that the two exorcists we just killed are dead yet. finders are definitely not being called on us (yet), and seriously people, this is becoming exponentially less enjoyable.
>>
>>25430097
Exorcists are spread out all throughout the world (except, possibly, Japan; it depends on whether or not the Earl has made his base there yet in this story).

>>25430098
>>25430101
Finders need time to travel and report what happens.

Do phones exist currently? We're in the distant past, aren't we? And this is currently our first day of travel. London is likely the closest point of contact to the Order there is.

There being a random Finder traveling on this road is more likely.
>>
>>25430198
Addendum: Even if the Order was currently only limited to one continent, Europe is large, the number of Generals is very small, and this is our FIRST DAY of travel. News of what happened probably hasn't even reached the Order yet.
>>
You feel the evil, and amused force watching you express a keen interest in what would have been a horrid failure...

Whatever luck your prey was to have is now yours...

The hunt is on and it's a good day for Akumas..

As you and Madeleine leave the wagon, it floats up through the influence of Schwere's power.
You gather flame at your mouth and cast it forward , blasting the bandits upon the road with the explosion.

The rangers unleash arrows upon you and Madelene defends you with you armored arms as you transform, uncoiling as a dragon from your pitiful human form.

A single roar and the fear is upon the air already. A fluid, snakelike movement finds several bandits in your jaws, torn to shreds, one after another.
Likewise, Madeleine pursues the bandits that survived your initial explosion and smashes them into the ground with heavy fists, her golden mane seemingly glowing in the light.

You see several bolts rain from Armbrust's position from the floating carriage, and other bandits dropping dead from single headshots courtesy of Ivan.

The Bandits are soon dispatched, with no survivors.

The wagon comes down and everyone seems much more restful... This is a lovely trip... You just rid more foul cancer from this world after all... now you just need an oven.. and may Ivan needs a cigar..

Everyone cleans up the wreck, primarily the bodies and the bolts. You do a courtesy to both, devouring them to keep the road clear. After all, leaving a mess is a trait of the poor, is it not? Indeed... They know not how to keep mess out of their lives, and thus, they are a mess...

The children seem noticeably more intelligent from the experience, Madeleine feigns sleep as Kama did earlier.. Wait... Kama's still sleeping..

How in the hell did she sleep through that?

The journey continues...

Tch. I make one comment about a plausable scenario and everyone's up in arms. Paranoia may be annoying, but getting ticked about it just makes things worse, no?

>>25430241
Don't be vindictive.

You're contributing to this man's distress
>>25430168
>>
>>25430241
Paranoia is fine and dandy, but when it keeps getting brought up it gets annoying. Anyways ease up there's no need for conflict.
>>
>>25430216
Indeed. If we go by manga rules, there are 109 (now 107) pieces of innocence scattered in the world. Probably less than a third of those are currently used by exorcists right now. There is probably less than 5 generals around the world, probably 1 in all of europe.
>>
>>25430293

> And I won't be saying how many are in use right now.
>>
>>25430302
IT'S A MYSTERYYYYY!!!!

>>25430218
Well, I suppose that brings a close to our first day of travel.
>>
>>25430198
And Generals even moreso. Only a few of them at a time, and they truly are wanderers in the night. They carry like six innocence weapons at least, each seeking an accomodator. Why does the church risk such things?

Simple, a general can take a Noah/Level 4 and win. And not just win, win HARD! Cross flat out OWNED Tyki Mikk. That was to show us something. That something is just how broken a General level Exorcist is.

Don't forget that. We see a gold uniform we run.

>>25430302
Good. I hate easy mode. Make it hard my good duke. Give me (and by extension us) a true challenge. Really try our collective intellect!

>180 exp gained!
>Total Exp 190

January 19th

Your travels are unimpeded after that initial bandit attack... Everyone's gotten restless from the lack of humans, save for Schwere, Armbrust, you, and Ivan... Or perhaps the four of you just handle it a bit better.

As you break the mountain pass you notice that the air is a bit... crisper here. Even despite the cold. It's the air of a mountain valley, and the settlement here is rather large, though without walls.

You see that there are many residential houses set up, likely with some sort of tradesmen in each, or at the least owning or working another place for it. In the center you see something of a bustling market and a place that Schwere mentions, takes orders for goods and distributes those that come through..

Some distance away, you see a few vineyards upon mountain's sides with rows of visible fence to prop up the vines of grapes..

Within the town, much to your personal dismay, you find that Schrewe had been correct all along... as a merchant, your wares had been lacking.. You barely have anything for sale, with the need of space for the rest of them to actually sit comfortably.

Then again, why are you so concerned with your potential wares? You had something to do here!. Besides, t's not like you're poor... Though you look poor... and bakers are often poor.. and your family was poor... and... Okay, you get it, you, yourself are a filthy poor shit.

Maybe it's time to mend that? No! You're hear for something... You need to find the Noah, the Noah! There's likely one here... or maybe their isn't... Ugh, This search my take some time...

A pair of boys run by, " let's go throw rocks at the Witch!"

Well... There's a start...

>To be continued next time! Saturday at 2000! So, sametime, different day!

>I do have some further time before I enter the land of dreams, any question for me?
>>
>>25430465
Thanks for the thread Duke. Was quite enjoyable for me. And I am quite curious about your shit.

The generals, the Noah. Will the Noah help us in a fight against a General? Because, as we are level 2, that's about the only way we live through such a confrontation.

Again, I like my quests to be on hard mode. Make us work for our "happy" end!
>>
>>25430465
Are the Noah in this game the same Noah as in the Manga?

Have you thought about what level 3 akuma will look like?
>>
>>25430373
Apologies to you as well. I did not intend to support the General paranoia, merely to point out a plausable result of the fail. My latter comment was intended to be read more jokingly, but emotion isn't my strong suit in reality, let alone via internet.
>>
>>25430465
What year is this set in? How distant in the past are we?
>>
>>25430546
yeah, no worries. I'm pretty tired from working, and it tends to keep me from being my best. You were at logical anyway.
>>
>>25430557
I believe it's 1400.
>>
>>25430465
do the finders/exorcists have wireless golems?
>>
>>25430465
We're gong to need to upgrade Leadership again to keep them from killing indiscriminately.
>>
>>25430620
We're going to have to hope we can get the crew up to the point where they can handle these trips better. This is the shortest trip we'll be doing.
>>
>>25430620
maybe... though they respect us pretty well, so it might not be necesisary. I agree that we should get it as a precationary measure though.

>>25430649
they're young. if they survive, they'll get stronger will naturally. the oldest of us were the least affected.
>>
>>25430557

1400. So, 15th century. THe manga is set in the 18th century as I recall.

>>25430541
The Noah names will remain the same. However like the "Earl" being Nostradamus, all the others will change as well.

You may very well also see references to historical/mythos that may not necessarily belong in the time period but that's just how I'm going to fill in some of the spaces/events.

>>25430540
There are too few Noah within the family as it stands now, and with the advent of magic, it's not JUST exorcists that can pose a real threat to you..

So the Noah will not be helping much as it currently stands. Your current "Social rank" just happens to be "Caught the Eye of Adam." / being a favorite toy.

Doesn't mean the other Noah give two pieces of their own crap about you as an Akuma.

I'm also glad that you're so curious!

>>25430608

Now that I think about it, that'd be perfectly logical, given magic.

>>25430649
Definitely, lest they slaughter others on the spot due to their programmed instinct...

>>25430541

I have given some thought. Your choice whether I tell you now or let it be a surprise.

I've planned out lv 2 and lv 3 for the entire party so far.

If they even make it. I bet it'll hurt when one of them dies...

I'll make it hurt.
>>
>>25430620
At least to the level where we can command Level 2's?

Right now, it costs 400 exp. Previously, it was 200. So we can expect it to cost 600 exp next. It'll probably be some time before the rest of our group gets to Level 2 (one more Exorcist kill, probably, and some more general despair), so we can put the priority on getting the third upgrade for Leadership last.

So, guys, what upgrades should we prioritize? I'm pretty eager on getting the Pressure Cannon upgrade and the Smoke Magic, but I also want to reach the "Multiple Mouths All Over Our Body" ability soon as well (I'm guessing we'll need the Replacement Chains upgrade to reach that?).

>>25430692
Duke, you missed the exp costs for the sub-type upgrade under our Chainsaw Maw (which I assume has been upgraded to the MAX by itself?).
>>
>>25430692
>I have given some thought. Your choice whether I tell you now or let it be a surprise.

I just hope the ones we made stay alive long enough to level up.

>>25430757
I'm never happier than when my characters are in fucking AGONY (emotional preferable to physical, but either works). Wonder if that says something about me? Naaaaaaah....
>>
>>25430797
You and I might get along. Though their agony means nothing if they never stood a chance. I want there to be some hope, a tiny, microscopic ray of hope at least...
>>
Thread been saved yet?
>>
>>25430853
But of course! agony is nothing without hope. When hope disappears, the pain becomes numbed, but with hopes that are consistently destroyed, and then brought back comes the true form of despair.

Leadership won't be as cut as dry to go up straight to the next level of Akuma, it will also include quantity, and always be restricted to same level or lower.

Exp cost for maw upgrades fixed.

Also, the mouths all over will be a lv 3 ability to fix the inherent lack of a colossal jaw. That'd also be the perrrfect level to start doing that as well as you'd be rightly coming into your power at that point...

>>25430797

It just shows that you're a perfectly good and sane human being.

Who actually likes people being happy? Misery is a blessing after all!

>>25430757
I had observed that entire series, never caught that bit about rejoicing.

Aside, I had thought of doing a quest based upon that only, the caveat is that you guys would play a servant... as that would be so much more interesting at times...

>>25430853
Much like the hope that Harold and Audrey had?

Don't think I ever did get to use "You're a wizard Harrie." as I had planned to reference...

Don't make my own mistake and label the wrong number though... heh...

The world is poorer for its loss, oh Disturbingly Dastardly, yet Delightfully Dainty Duke.

I'm running out of good alliterations...
>>
>>25430904
To REJOICE is to experience the true meaning of Schadenfreude. The joy one can only experience through observing the pain and suffering of those other than yourself. The fact humans even have such an impulse is a great deal of the reason I have exactly Zero faith in my own species. But I digress...

Kotomine could only experience Joy in this way. Yet he had a conscience that caused him sorrow and pain whenever he indulged in it. It's what made him so intriguing. He could only be happy when doing evil, yet in doing evil he made himself irrevocably unhappy. He just couldn't win...

Yes it would. Getting Command Seal'd would suck so much, and grant ever so much REJOICE potential.

"As a knight I can't do that. If you want me to you'll have to use a Command Seal"
"Very Well (I order you to betray all you ever stood for)"
(We do so because we can't not)

Oh the suffering. The glorious glorious suffering!

I prefer yours for being brief and on point.
I'd swap dainty for Dandy however and you've got a short but sweet winner.

Long alliterations can be hard, though they may not be nearly as poetic.

Good night my good fellows, and remember what you've done tonight...
