Well, I've been going over my my notes and I've realized that we're actually pretty much a little over halfway through the overall plot! I guess that means we're a bit overdue for a Q&A thread, especially since I usually conk out after the end of every thread.

So, you can ask pretty much anything. Quest related questions, questions about the meta, or just plain old suggesting things you want to see or think would make the quest better. Anything's game, and I'll answer to the best of my ability!
>>
>>25425796
What gave you the initial inspiration to start the quest?
>>
Would anyone be offended if I admitted to suggesting both the name Jager Sturmfuhrer and the backstory suggestion?
>>
>>25425841
I actually had the idea in my head for quite a while. Initially it was from discussion in previous VC threads long past, but when nobody stepped up I decided to give it a shot.

Actually, I had the concept about two years back and tried running with it but the thread died pretty fast. How the times have changed, huh?
>>
Tarin seems to show something of an interest in Jager from her actions in Albion, Is it protective, or a crush?

He has been giving her a lot of attention, telling her, or showing her that he outright trusts her, choosing her along with his second in command to vital command meeting, and vouching for her when her bloodline comes up.
>>
Only loosely related, but you think there's any chance of seeing a VC game on the PS4? I know I'd buy it in an instant.
>>
>>25426056
That's up to the players to decide. I try to write encounters ambiguously enough that it can be interpreted either way.
>>
>>25426095
We can only hope.
...No, I'm serious. That's actually the only thing we can do in this situation.
>>
>>25426095
There may be, but it'll probably never be released in English.
>>
>>25426095
One word.

Sega
>>
>>25426125
Dont give me that flim flamming run around Command.
I asked if shes crushing, not Jager.

Isolde Knows about Jager, she knew what Karla did, but she still applied for The Demons. WHY?
>>
How do you feel about those people trying to play matchmaker in the recent threads?
>>
>>25426214
>WHY?
Maybe because she knows Jager to be somewhat honorable (for a mercenary).
>>
>>25426214
Maybe Isolde is a spy to make sure we don't get killed
>>
>>25426307

Eh, seems a bit far fetched. And you know how I am about spies.
>>
>>25426331
You are probably right. I am very crazy when sleep deprived so yeah.
>>
>>25426331
...And I *just* realized how we've barely been rejoicing in the past few threads.
We need to step up our game.

Also, MC, are there any big things that we missed due to bad rolls?
>>
>>25426416
Rejoicing isn't really Jager's thing. He's more of a shoot em and leave type of guy.
>>
>>25426214
Her initial behavior towards Jager was motivated by mistrust, since that was all she knew how to treat others. Her opinion of him changed after he stood up for her. Does she have reasons to crush on you? Yes. Is she really rushing on you? Well, you'll have to find out.

As for Isolde, if you gotta go mercenary, might as well try signing up with the most honorable guy you know.
>>
Does Class Z have a Gaz/Ghost analogue, and if so, what DOES he really look like?
>>
>>25426235
I find it endlessly amusing. However, once we hit Act 3 you'll have to nut up or shut up when it comes to any romantic conclusions. And sorry, but no harem ends. Monogamy is still a big deal in Europa. Harem shenanigans are still acceptable though, but that path should be approached with caution.
>>
>>25426548
I imagine there is one.
Her name is Artya.
>>
>>25426548
Yes, but you haven't met them yet.
>>
>>25426416

Eh, rejoicing is on the player end, its not really something to do in character.
>>
>Is anyone else having issues posting with Firefox? I had to switch over to Chrome just to post this.

Is there a reason as to why you've been putting more and more crossovers in this quest? It started with just Ace Combat and Valkyria, but now you've added CoD, and a few cameo's from other things as well.
>>
>>25426568
>JagerxKarla difficult talk

AlekXHeloise
Tarin might not end up with someone, we may have tried some with Brilliant though
Sam? Will meet our...
Lost Brother! The adorable shota. Bitches love shotas.

Isolde? she meets our overly stereotypical mortor crew, finds one of them oddly endeering, has a short lived fling with one of them before agreeing with Jager than a closer union with their countries is needed and accepts an arranged marriage to a prestigious though not noble, military family.

MATTHEW. (Which Mac is livid about, he's been working so hard, and all of a sudden Matt's dad pulls strings and nets him a smoking hot Knight?! The world is unfair!)
>>
>>25426674
Because I like coming up with hypotheticals in my head and it leaks its way into the quest, like how would VC react to a STALKER running around, or if there was actually a class in Lanseal that knew what the hell it was doing?

Also, guaging player reactions to certain events plays a part as well.
>>
Is there any chance of Artya looting a certain someone's oversized chest for her own use?
>>
>>25426733
>stealing Matthew away from Artya
I have good news. You're a mutant!
>>
>>25426808
I doubt she can perform surgery without her waking up.
>>

Artya is actually pretty damn comfortable with how she is.

>>
>>25427073
>implying Matthew is a cad who would attempt to force her into it before she is ready
He will wait until she is comfortable showing him her face. Because he is an officer and a gentleman, dammit. Or at least one in the making.
>>
>>25425796
>or just plain old suggesting things you want to see or think would make the quest better.

More plot.

Alright, a little bit more seriously, I think it would be good if you show us that it's a dynamic world we're in and not having everything revolve around us. For example, should we have gone to Ustio in the first place instead then Albion might have been invaded, and when we went there we would've had to handle a full-blown invasion on our hands instead of piddly groups of spies. You could also have new fronts open up or close, say the Imperials or Federation going for a new angle of approach or deciding it's too much to deal with an pulling troops back.
>>
>>25427088
If you had gone through with blowing up the ragnite in Solis, you would jave collapsed several mountains.

Also, hijacking the Lion of the Empire was a legitimate (though insanely difficult) choice.

Defeating the thousands strong crew of a battleship supported by marines of other ships would've been stretching my suspension of disbelief just a liiiiittle bit.
>>
>>25427255
I don't know.
I haven't played VC2.
But it's a Military Academy, and a Europ(e)an one with a long history at that, so these things pretty much come with the territory.
>>
>>25427207
Actually that would have been the case. Stuff you did in previous campaigns do affect things down the line, the effects were just hidden.

See the Battle of Wizna, or as I like to call it:
"Dear Wehrmacht,
Neener neener, we kicked your ass, and made the Spartans at Thermopylae look like fucking pussies doing it.
Signed, Poland"
>>
>>25426568

Well there goes that, batting for Elsa and Alek then.

Also, are we ever going to return to character pieces for the side quests? We still haven't done Alek and Isolde.
>>
>>25427264
Let me put it this way. You are considered, verbatim, "A clear and present danger to the unity of the Empire."
>>
>>25427320

What about opening and closing new fronts without our intervention? I mean I don't want it to seem like we're solely responsible for the war effort, and new fronts opening means new playgrounds to play in.
>>
>>25427395
I might get around to doing Tarin and Isolde later. I unfortunately can't think of anything in Alek's past memorable enough to fill a thread.
>>
>>25427407
Better keep working at it then. Can't stop until they have a 'flee on sight' order for us.
>>
>>25427407
Well, that's something to put on the business cards. I can see it now.
"Jager Sturmfuhrer: Founder, Demons of Randgriz. Deemed 'Clear and present danger to the unity of the Empire'. All-around badass."
>>
>>25427422
Since this is only taking place in Europa, there are actually pretty few places you can go in terms of overall war fronts.
>>
>>25427164
We wont make a very good officer in some crazy black deniable ops! We can't tell our father that 'We Dont Exist'

We're the son of a dragged his way from the top general, we need to SHOW him our work.

Sure, it's all cool with this, special forces, but... I dont think it's right for Matt. He got lucky, riding off of Artya's success. He should know this, and not try to be someone he's not, or shouldn't be.

We're Officer material, not Commando material.

>>

Bullshit.
We'll be off doing what the Blood Soaked Bitch needs done, and we will lead men while doing it. Being an officer isn't about glory. It's about making sure your boys and girls accomplish their mission and get home in one piece.
>>
>>25427484

Hmmm, actually, weren't there plans for a second invasion of Gallia?

That might be interesting...
>>
>>25427713
Oh yes, but something like that would be years away.

Don't think it would be that difficult to drum up the resources to invade a small country like Gallia.

They still need to plan it, as well as get out of their current war with the Federation. Large as it is, the Empires resources have limits and it spent a LOT on the failed first invasion.

Not really. If I learned anything from Iron Hearts, it's that constantly expanding the scale of the game will quickly get you buried under a lot of extra work.

Plus IH was basically a high fantasy version of VC anyways, so there wasn't all that much to steal, really.
>>
>>25425796

Is Lynch still pissed at us, and from a scale of one to hemadson how mad is he.

Also can we has De Lisle Carbine expy? Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with some dead imps on top?

Fair enough. It did feel like the setting got out of hand fast, and balloon into madness. I'll ask one more thing and be done with the matter: Hellghast or Terrible Children?
>>
>>25428413
>I'm still trying to figure out how to balance them
Well seeing as they are low velocity .45's availability should not matter as they will only be useful in certain situations used by certain people, the Imps love wearing armor, which those subsonic 45's can't really do shit against, so the De Lisle (much like in real life), would only work as an up close stealth weapon in the hands of people trained in using them in the right situations.

And Qyburn can always suddenly "remember" he had a crate of suppressor cans hidden away in our U-boat
>>
>>25428462

It's a .45 ACP. It has almost no capacity to penetrate body armor, it has no range, and the RoF is the same as any bolt-action--shitty. It's a specialty gun; amazing at what it's designed for and a piece of shit for anything else.

Well, her intel about the fuel depot paid off.
Difference being, the locals already knew about it, so it was nothing secret.

Does she earn her freedom, or do we keep her penned up for now? I still think her Empire Assassinations are a hidden meal ticket. First, we ask, she's been upfront so far and she deserves that. It'll make a hellova lot difference between a POW camp where you arnt going to get Traded by anyone except the camp guards, to 'work release' with the Demons.

Then, Parker asks.
Then, Parker Gets the info if we arnt satisfied.
