Good Evening Gentlemen! I return to you again! <3

And so, the story of our very dear murderous toy continues...

Our very dear Akuma-chan... Now known as Faefnir
Forged out of a once-baker's soul named Claire... A pitiful woman that had been strangled to death by a beggar for her creation of love.
Called back by her since child-hood friend, Jacob, that had always looked upon Claire fondly, oh so fondly..
Once I granted the dear her body, she killed the man out of spite for turning her into a delightful monster!

And so now, she wears his skin and kills humans in secret to spread the despair that gave her this wonderful second life!
She has also continued baking bread. <3

Welcome to the quest of the Akuma, Good Evening... <3

This is the story thus far!
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Akuma%20Quest

These are your current stats and abilities as of now!
http://pastebin.com/CuLptHEL

And Something pertaining to your allies! <3
http://pastebin.com/49TZ3QUn

With a mission granted to your little "Family" by your Dearest, Dandy and Diligently Dapper Doctor, you travel to the trading post of Ruinebriar in search of the missing members of the Noah clan...

Upon the way, your family became a touch more acquainted with each other.
Ivan and Armbrust take turns shooting wildlife on the road.
Kama turns into "Mama Kama" for the new additions of Kralle and Wendel to the family.
Two children that had once been brother and sister to Jacob, now murderous machines possessed by the souls of their dead parents.

Also, Madeleine and Schrewe do what you might call bickering with each other...

There was a bandit attack, though awfully short lived due to the bandit's "penchant" for misfortune.

As always, the tale of our dearest Faefnir... Continues...

January 19th

Your travels are unimpeded after that initial bandit attack... Everyone's gotten restless from the lack of humans, save for Schwere, Armbrust, you, and Ivan... Or perhaps the four of you just handle it a bit better.

As you break the mountain pass you notice that the air is a bit... crisper here. Even despite the cold. It's the air of a mountain valley, and the settlement here is rather large, though without walls.

You see that there are many residential houses set up, likely with some sort of tradesmen in each, or at the least owning or working another place for it. In the center you see something of a bustling market and a place that Schwere mentions, takes orders for goods and distributes those that come through..

Some distance away, you see a few vineyards upon mountain's sides with rows of visible fence to prop up the vines of grapes..

Within the town, much to your personal dismay, you find that Schrewe had been correct all along... as a merchant, your wares had been lacking.. You barely have anything for sale, with the need of space for the rest of them to actually sit comfortably.

Then again, why are you so concerned with your potential wares? You had something to do here!. Besides, t's not like you're poor... Though you look poor... and bakers are often poor.. and your family was poor... and... Okay, you get it, you, yourself are a filthy poor shit.

Maybe it's time to mend that? No! You're hear for something... You need to find the Noah, the Noah! There's likely one here... or maybe their isn't... Ugh, This search my take some time...

A pair of boys run by, " let's go throw rocks at the Witch!"

Well... There's a start...

>[] The Noah search can wait, I must see about gambling.

Oh, you notice that there is a river not far from this settlement as well. Boats pushing against the tides by oar and drifting down alike are seen. Suspect is that passage to Florin could be purchased or... "Acquired"

>[x] We need to find a place to stay... (General idea)

Lets find a place to stay or establish a camp a bit out of town. Lets mix a bit with the local peasants and act like the merchants we are pretending to be. Lets keep an ear out for any rumor of supernatural events.

We can also go exchange recipes with the local baker.
>>
>>25457964
Send off Ivan with the others to 'buy' a boat for us to stay in. We can go check out this witch and maybe even find a bakery.
>>

Hmm... Grapes. Perhaps we could make wine to complement our bread business? Also, the problem with poisoning the water supply was that humans would'nt drink dark water, but wines are most commonly dark..
>>
>>25457964
Let's go find out what this "Witch" business is.
>>
>>25458214

That is so. And ships take hands and expertise to handle... No seafaring Akuma as it stands...

You also lack appropriate funds for something like that. A smaller boat would be affordable... though as I had said, it'd put you in the same class as the dirty gypsies... the most evil of all the poor..

It's like they're poor, but then somehow aren't...

Lets go investigate that witch with Schwere and Madeleine, as Schwere seem smart and knowledgeable and Madeleine will get jealous if we go anywhere with Schwere alone.

>>25458283
As long as they are not homeless vagrants, I think we can contain ourselves.
>>
>>25458266
>Investigating this business about a "witch"

We will need to find something for everyone to do, so that their urges don't become trouble some. Maybe get a few of them into whittling.
>>
Hmm, later on we should investigate the vineyards if they sell grape jam. Grape jam on bread is spectacular.
>>

>>

>>

>>
Ivan and Armbrust turn to you upon entering the settlement, Ivan's brow raises up from beneath his helm as he regards you,"Well then Comrade, we are here now. What will we be doing from here?"

You peek out from the covered wagon and check around the town. Armbrust is in his passenger seat upon the cart as usual, staring forward and relatively stoic... though you can tell that among them, everyone aside from you and Ivan are hurting to keep themselves in check.

The children's eyes are demonic as they try to keep from killing without your command. Schrewe has finished reading her book and she's relentlessly bending the spine, her eyes changing slightly as well..
Madeleine appears to be about ready to tear her skin off with all the humans about.. and that might just be literal...
Kama, likewise with the children is shaking, her fingers shifting slowly into sickles.

Your own heart wavers... you haven't baked or killed in some time... This lul is getting to you, despite it not showing.

"Ivan, we need to set up camp... Outside of this town..." He whisper to the man, wearing guard attire.

You turn back to the Women and children," Control yourselves for a while longer. We will kill soon enough."

Kama stares at you, her eyes dilated into slits," Faefnir... They're right here... We can kill them all... There's so many of them and we... we are so strong... Simple... So simple.."

Schrewe shudders at the words," S-she is... she is right... I ... I could just crush them..."

"Silence." Your voice carries along the air, a command, yet it only truly affects the children. The women stare back at you.

"Ivan, turn the cart back."

"Will do comrade."
The horses pull the cart away from Ruinebriar and the other demons seem to calm down a bit, though the children still have the worst of it, and Kama holds them steady, shushing them even as she herself trembles. She's become more and more motherly with this trip and those two clinging to her.. You notice...
>>
>>25458445
Yeah, lets try to not attract too much attention in this town for the time being. That mean no murder of citizen or tourist and absolutly no arson.
>>
You relax as well... the scent of peasants leaving your nostrils. Without kills or something to occupy the family, it will be difficult for them to blend in without going berserk... It'll need to be you or Ivan... and the family needs to be sated somehow...

Loving family, but sometimes we will need to dole out some tough love to keep them in check.

Ivan keeps an eye on the Family, we'll go into town.

>Seek out the Witch the children had mentioned.

But keep an eye open for any bakeries that are around, we could pay them a visit and bake some bread, make it a contest of our baking skills.

For the Family

[X] Hunt the woods for victims.

Keep it quiet for now, woods should be subtle enough.
>>

Schwere is an avid reader
Madeleine want male attention (preferably ours)
Ivan acts like a russian soldier.

"Ivan, you wave the man over as you, he, and Armbrust finish setting up camp.
"Yes Comrade? What is the matter?" He strides on over around the arrangements of a burgeoning campfire, more for appearances.
"I'll be going into town to check for rumors and see if I can't get a job. Anything that we can pick up here will help the cause.. While I'm gone, take them out to hunt in pairs. Go for the woods, and past the bend in the road, out of sight of the town. You're a smart guy, no evidence."
Ivan nods, a bit faster than you would've liked," I've been getting that itch too... not as bad as the others yet..."
You raise your eyebrow," Yet?"
"What of you comrade? Surely you would care to hunt?"
You put a hand up," No, The family is more important. I'll be fine so long as I can get back to baking."
"As you say comrade.." Ivan throws his hands over your shoulders and kisses the air by each of your cheeks. "Be sure to come back well. Monsters other than us hide among men you know."
You smile at that, the exorcists," Well, they're a lot more obvious that us. Disgusting pigs."

You leave the camp behind and make way into Ruinebrair...

It takes little time for you to find the source of this "witch" business. There is a woman in the town Square, a woman bound by Mage's Stocks. Her hair black and long, obscuring her face. She wearing nothing but rags as part of her punishment... There's feces, rotten food, and more stuck to her stocks and her own body. Two men in shining silver armor stand at either side of her. Occasionally a passerby will add onto her shame with a stone or similar disgusting projectile.

You manage to keep yourself under control for simply walking about, though sniffings of poverty prove to enrage you somewhat...

Passing the witch, you find a building of stone, with a sign that says "Bakery" outside.

Upon entry you see a man rolling out dough upon the table and he looks to you with a nod before looking back down upon his dearest creation of love... This is a man that you can certainly respect... He's big, a touch burly and wears a modest apron. There's a woman and a young girl that work with him past the counter, taking bread out of the oven, moving flour, dragging buckets of milk, water...

This is the lovliest establishment you've been in since... well... your own... This is the homiest Bakery you've seen as well... far more family-oriented... It's good to be somewhere of purpose again.

"What can I get for you, stranger?" The man's voice carries across the room like crisp bread.
"Oh, I... well, I'd like some bread. And if you need an extra hand."

The man leers at you," I can give you the first thing.. though I'm not sure of the second. You bake bread before?"
With a nod, you answer the man," Yes, I baked bread in my own bakery even.. I took over it after my dear friend passed. it was the best bakery in Temes."
"Is that so?" The man seems skeptical. "Let me see your hands.. if you've got baker's."
You hold out your hands and the man touches them," Seems more like you've got Farmer's hands.. How long you run that Bakery for?"

My dear friend was a baker and I learned all that I know from her.. however I did spend time with a hoe in the fields." The man raises an eyebrow at you, appraising. Telling the truth seems to be easier, even as an Akuma... "If you want to see my skills, I could of course bake for you... A single loaf, take my payment as a forward on it.

The man smiles and gives you a nod," Alright, so it'll be. Get an apron and flour your hands, show us what you've got!"

You flour your hands and mix together the flour and water, adding in a bit of sugar and salt.

You get the composition just right with the added flour and leave the rest to the side, kneading the established dough on the floured counter, as the man seems to approve, you turn your head to him and smile," Say, why don't we turn this into a bakeoff? The guards by the Stocks judge."
The Man chuckles," I suppose if you'd like for a bit of sport. Though Sir Asher and his brother are not to be bothered with. They guard the apostate without distraction.
The man begins to mix his own dough as you make conversation, thoroughly kneading your own,"Apostate? First time I think I've heard of that..."
"Not many do.See, most sorcerers and sorceresses are licensed by the church. Those that don't bear their blessing and carry on with the practice are branded apostates. The woman awaits judgement by a High Priest of the church. She's kept here until then."
You await for your bread to rise,"So, why do you know such things?" You smile, disarmingly.

"Jacob Firebrand" You extend a floured hand and the man takes it with his own. His hands are warm. Almost warmer than yours. Warm hands are good for bread.
"Good to meet you, Firebrand. That's indeed the name of a Farmer... more like a rancher's though. In the family?"
You shake your head," Family's mostly dead, not sure if it is."
The man frowns,"Shame to hear that. I won't ask anymore."

It takes some time but you begin to work up a rapport with the man as you finish baking the bread. Both of the loaves are out and on the counter to cool.
"Well, I must say you've done a fine job... smells wonderful as well. I'm sure you know what your own bread tastes like, so let us swap breads and judge based on men in the same profession, hm?"

You nod to the man. You'll be honest with him... This is a matter between bakers after all.

The two of you exchange loaves... you note that his is a touch rounder and longer than your own, that maintains a loaf shape. You bite into the bread and it yields a crisp crunch upon the outside, yet remains fluffy and soft on the inside as opposed to your own fluffy loaf.

It's crisp and has the distinct taste of recently milled wheat with whole grains still present within. You look to the man and furrow your brow... You really like this bread... Your memory bakes had no record of a bread made such as this... it's very much like a french loaf but so... thin.

The man eats your own bread and you attempt to read the expression in his face even as he reads yours.
After you both swallow the first bite, he chuckles a touch," Like it don't you? I learned it from a french sailor. They call it a Baguette. Your bread... it is very traditional and near perfect, however I do not think it can be properly compared to this other recipe.

You nod and stare at the baguette," I like it.. I like it a lot. Seems that it would be great for a beef stew..."
James chuckles at you," Let us call this a draw. There need not be a winner after all. You are welcome in my bakery. I will pay you for the work you pull, hm? "
You smile, you've got yourself a new haven...
"I need to tell my family the good news, I'll be back here in the morning, before the break of dawn, yes?"
"Indeed, seems you've already got the baker's sleep!" The man laughs and you leave his establishment...

It is now the afternoon.

Where to now?

You make way for the nearest tavern, finding one right down the street from the stocks in the square.

It's called, "The Briar's Hearth" As good a place as any you figure.

You enter and are immediately greeted by a warm fire within that wards off the cold, a few of the likely town drunks at the bar getting hammered, and not by way of the smith... Worthless men... The kind you enjoy killing most...

There's a lonely man with a cup and a pair of dice at the table closest to the fire.

You disregard him for now and order the wine this place is known for.

"So, barkeep, what's the word on the countryside?" You ask the man. He's not Fredrick though... you liked Frederick.. Doctor bless that he's an Akuma now by the wish of some person... You liked Fred...
The keep glares at you," It's extra if you want me to run my mouth. Not my job to inform all the ones that run on in through here. If you want that, talk to the women that harp all day long about the state of affairs." This man is definitely NOT Fredrick..

Money makesfolks much more talkative. Gamblers seem like good company. At the very least, coin could work his tongue

I was half tempted to vote for bringing the drunks home for takeout, but that could draw unwanted attention. We just murdered a village, we don't want to have more bait for Exorcists

"Well, I won't be paying for something that costs a man nothing.. Thank you for the drink, I'll be joining the gentleman by the hearth." You take your mug and shove off the stool, strolling through the warmth of the fire before taking a seat by the man with the dice.
He smiles at you and grabs the dice, throwing them into an empty mug," What's your bet stranger? Even? Odd? How many ones, threes? Fives? Don't like them odds? Twos, Fours? Sixes? Or perhaps you're not feeling quite even with that drink?" The man runs his mouth and you swish your wine around.

"Your game is dice I see? First I've had a go of that. " You take a deep drink and place a silver on the table," All snake eyes.
The man's smile turns greasy as he eyes your silver piece," Well, the man says we're going to have all snakes! Let's see." He throws the mug down and reveals the dice.

Roll 1d100.

The man raises the mug and his jaw drops when he sees that all of the dice are indeed 1's... all 6 of them.
You take a long draft of your drink and gesture to the man," Looks like I've called it. Say, with odds like that, isn't that a return of 6 pieces?"

The man stares at you and grumbles, throwing 6 silver coins on the table.

"What do you say? double or nothing?" His mouth has that slimy look... his money is ill gotten, you figure... he has the look and smell of poor upon him...
You'd normally not consider this ploy, yet you shrug," Aye, double or nothin and you tell me what th' keep over there could 'ave."

The man collects the dice and shakes them again," What's this time? Surely you won't call all 1's again, eheh..."

"Nah, All 1's an' they'll be stacked, much like a tower." You chuckle at the man, though you know the thing that watches you... highly enjoys these games... With a nod you confirm you bet, but make an amendment," If I win, you pay the double. And you come back to my camp and entertain my sweetheart, what do you say?"

The man pauses for a moment," What kind of entertainment?"
"Oh, you know, a toss in the hay. He likes it with two men, saucy tart. Figure she might have a fancy for a man of games like you."

The man throws the cup down, yet you feel a sudden shadow pass that makes the man breath cold. "W-what was that?"

"Likely the wind, it's quite cold out there you know. Lift the cup, she can't be wait'n all day."

The man removes the mug, and just so. The dice are stacked perfectly into a tower, all sides facing up.
"What in the-"

"And there it is. The impossible occurs. Pay on up you rubbish, we've got a lady to impress."

The man slides 12 silvers across the table yet he doesn't look all that defeated. The prospect of sharing a woman must excite him.

"Let's get on with it. Keep, your money's on the table. Find a couple ways to sod off with it." You call as you leave the bar with the gambler, the keep says nothing in return as you leave.

Basic mechanics:

To resolve stuff, we roll 1d100. The Duke compares to a hidden stat sheet.

Normally, ranges 1-5 are critical failures and 95-100 are critical successes.

Devil's luck just alters the crit range. 1-5 become critical successes, and 95-100 become critical failures (even though everything else remains constant, e.g. a 6 still counts as a failure and 94 still counts as a success.)

Afterward, he got his grey skin, so we can presume that a newly awakened Noah only experiences the stigmata and a little bit of their inherited memory before they awaken completely to the gene.

"So, where are we going?" The man huddles his hands into his body beneath his jacket, looking at you expectantly.

"We'll be going to the outskirts of town. My camp is there. However first, I'd like to check up on the woman in the stocks..." You mumble to yourself as you take the lead, the man staying behind a moment before puruing.
"Hey, why do you want to deal with that apostate whore? She's all filthy, let's leave the church t'deal with her. Them brotherly guards won't be letting you close anyhow, or you gon' be throwing things at the witch then?"

"Sure, I'll be throwing things at her. Say, would you like some bread? baked it myself..." You offer the man some of your blackbread and he turns his nose up at it.
"What in heavens is this? It's all black isn't it?"
"Secret family recipe. Lords and ladies have killed over this bread, and men are so moved they cry as they eat it."
"Ahh, some sort of fancy, is it then? Well, I s'pose it does smell nice." You look away just as you hear the man begin to chew and his sobs start behind you. Hmm... what an odd effect... The family loves it... Heh..

You see the woman once more in the stocks, markings upon it likely to restrict a sorcerer like herself. One of the two men in silver armor, upon closer inspection seem to have a cross emblazoned upon his armor... you know the marking... this knight is an exorcist... he's guarding this woman..

You begin to approach and the non-crossed one calls out," Halt, in the name of the God. You may throw things upon this woman at your leisure however you may not approach by penalty of death in the name of the King Henry IV. State your business."

You look at the night and then the woman in rags and recall the bite of the cold that others feel.. She must feel simply awful... A loaf of warm bread might do the trick... Though these men..
"I am here to spit upon the woman in stocks. To do so I would need to get close, yes?" You try to play it off. The guard is unmoving.
>>
"I have already stated. You may not have dealings with this woman. Cast your stone and other tokens of humiliation. None are to approach her."

a chunk of black bread.

"As black as her soul. A loaf left too long in the oven."

Throw some pieces of bread at her mouth.

Also, idly ask the guard questions about the woman. How long has she been there? Why would she refuse to become a sanctioned sorceress for the Church?

>>
>>25462450
the only problem I see is that it puts our family in considerable danger, and it is preferable to avoid such things. I'd say we should gather more inteligence and set a trap for him, that is, if the "witch" is even a noah, and we need to dispose of the exorcist. If the witch isn't a noah... I'd avocate just leaving the exorcist alone. we don't have orders to kill any exorcists we find, and it would take time away from our search for the Duke's dear family.

>>
>>25462593
but when we killed our last exorcist, it was stated our mouth connected to our oven from the pieces we swallowed sliding down our throat to the oven. or was that not how it worked?
>>
You tear off a chunk of bread from what your nameless "associate" has eaten and show it to the two guards,"Black as her soul..." You say, as you turn it over, regarding it," Left in the oven for a bit too long."

"Take your aim as you'd have it." The non-exorcist knight looks to the woman," Someone has brought you food, whore. Raise your head and give thanks for it. Perhaps you can catch it in your mouth and won't eat shit like an animal." The woman does not move and the guard steps forward, grabbing her by the hair and pulling back," I said open your mouth."

You see blood upon the woman's forehead, then again, there's a lot of blood on her face, likely from all the stones that the children threw. She doesn't cry, yet she doesn't open her mouth either.
She looks out of it, eyes unfocused, tired. The cold's likely getting to her. She opens her mouth, yet she speaks instead," I am not a whore... My name.... is Morgan....La Fey.. My name... It's Morg-" The guard grabs her by the jaw and forces her mouth open.

He looks at you,"Throw peasant."

The display disheartened you not at all.. You take aim and throw pieces of the bread at the woman, her struggles to get the man off, quite weak.. You manage to get a piece in and it just falls. out of her mouth.

Finally a crumb stays and you're out of bread.

"Done?"

You only nod.

"Good" the guard shoves the room down and resumes his post..

The woman begins to whimper and cry, unlike before, you swear that she whispers," It's... so good..."

You think hard for a moment at the reaction... and look to your follower that happens to still be softly sobbing.

Seems the disgustingly poor womab likes your bread... fancy that.

We have a winner! Go back and discuss our findings with the fam fam. We have a Noah to save and an exorcist to kill. The Devil smiles upon us this night.

Onward! We do the good Duke's work before the sun rises!

Subtlely if possible of course. Trading town, rumors spread fast here. Must free her and be on our way before a General shows up. Noah can generally take them, generally. Guys like Cross stand a good chance against the Earl himself. Best not to tempt that kind of shitstorm if possible.

If we can withstand it being the operative phrase there. Glad to see we *can* destroy an innocence if we're powerful enough. Not going for that until it is indeed maxed out. In this world, even an AU, Innocence ain't nothing to fuck with. Plus I want maximum baking potential. If "destruction" cuts into our immaculate baking skills I'm against it. Innocence destruction is cool and all but first and foremost we are a baker. The very best baker this world has ever seen! To cut into that potential doesn't sit well with us.

this... is a point actually. we know that our bread causes despair in humans, but don't know whether or not it actually tastes good to them.
>>
>>25463042
That's....that's what I said.

Our bread causes despair in people. Currently, I assume you're stating that they're both crying tears of joy. Because they're crying.

And I'm telling you that one of them was able to comment on how they liked the taste while the other just seems to be a mess.

Am I correct in my review of the situation?
>>
I feel like we're all confused, and me trying to contribute while concussed isn't helping
>>

come on, it won't take but 2 seconds to ask him how it tasted. seriously, it doesn't hurt to be thorough.

no matter what he says, we'll still break the potential Noah out. we can't just let an exorcist live.

You usher your blubbering follower forth with you after leaving the woman to her tears and crumbs. You feel the penetrating stare of the guard burn into the back of your head as you head back to your camp...

The man must be suspicious of you...

You're curious though... the woman may very well be a noah if she enjoys your bread.. after all, the doctor does indeed.
As the greasy, sniveling gambler blathers on, you touch his shoulder," Hey, was it good? The bread?"

The man nods," It... it was... it was the best... best bread... I just... It made me so sad..." Rats... now you can't be quite so sure... You put a thumb against one of your human teeth... It's so very obscure... yet you get a strange vibe.. Morgan La Fey...

- - - - - - -

You arrive back at camp after calming down this nameless gambler... He's told you of the new king of the land, the old one being held captive near Leeds to the south and east. It's caused a turn in the land and a few lords have rallied recently, aspiring to seat King Richard back upon the throne, only to be put down in force... Seems events are turning in the world.. Aside from that, the word in town is buzzing with the approach of a high Priest... a saint as some people say...

You wonder if holy men bleed red...

Though you're certain that peasants do... and Madeleine is delighted by the "gift." The others turn away as the three of you undress in the bushes near camp for a "toss in the hay.' away from prying eyes.

As soon as the man's upon Madeleine, she changes her arms and embraces him.

"All yours Faefnir, I'll hold this one still."Her voice is sweet and full of reverence...

I thought when it was stated to be under our tail, the Duke meant under the tip. Because having it come out of our butt is ridiculous.

'Course, as a Level 2, we only have the one Pressure Cannon coming out of our mouth.

You put a bit from the horses into the man's mouth to sufficiently gag him and slip his dice out of his pocket, throwing them into a little cup.
Madeleine holds the man steady with her imposing grip, the man looks on and struggles in horror.

"We're going to play a little game, you and I. A gamble if you would. Win, and you get your clothes back. Get them all and you get to go free. You hear? You're placing your bet with fingers first. We're starting with toes. Evens or odds?"

A night full of muffled screams, burning flesh and the buzz of your chainsaw later, the gambling man no longer has legs, or his manhood for that matter. When it came time for that, Madeleine squeezed it off. Though the man was barely even conscious. A toy for the family for later... You remove his fingers as well, as he wont' be making bets anymore... <3

You used ashes from the chunks of flesh to back that baguette that you observed... though you didn't get it quite right... The shape is there... but that crisp taste... It's lacking... it upsets you.

"Find anything good in the town Faefnir?" Kama asks, Kralle laying her head upon her lap and seeming to doze off. Seems everyone's calmed down sufficiently...

You explain that you found a job a bakery in the town, the rude barkeep you'd like to set fire to that isn't Fredrick. Some of the others knew Fredrick, they agree, damn shame it isn't him. Ivan proposes a toast with Ale on hand to Fredrick, may he become an Akuma!

After the toast you bring up the woman at the sticks that awaits judgement from a high priest," She was guarded by two knights, one an exorcist. I couldn't see a stigmata because of the blood on her... but hey, she's an enemy of the church, might be useful right?"
>>
>>25463618

>>
>>25463639
Indeed. It was made official that normal, everyday humans helped the Earl find new targets for Akuma generation.

They called in, got a phat load of dosh, and helped to make new akuma. Why? Because humans are bastards. Bastard covered bastards with bastard filling and a crunchy bastard core.
>>
>>25463639
Lets formulate a plan to rescue her with the family.

I'd say we rescue her tonight. We can have Ivan and Armbrust attack from affar while we sneak behind them to rescue Morgan.

We could also try to poison their food and attack tomorrow night instead, hoping they will be weakened by the poison.

They probably won't notice the pentacles because of their full body armor.
>>
>>25463639
"She said my bread was good, if nothing else she has better taste than any human"
>>
>>25463639
while formulating a plan, is poisoning the wine an option? its darker than water, and if we poison casks getting ready to be send elsewhere who knows what trouble they'll cause
>>
>>25463774
I say we do a 3 man gank on whoever is guarding her in the wee hours of the morning. Us, Ivan and Armbrust. They will be tired and sluggish.
>>
Schrewe nods, swallowing some of the fresh bread,"Apostates are dangerous. Even my own robes carry an emblem that denotes my affiliation... I... forgot my name though. I suppose I'd be one now though, right? We should definitely save her... Even if only to kill the exorcists and maybe her if she proves useless."
Madeleine follows," I could throw that robe back on you know and perhaps... deal with the knights... Not sure what their orders are though.. They may turn me away as well, despite my certain..." She winks with a partial shrug of her shoulder," Attractions."

"You put the whore in Tart, Maddie," Kama mumbles, petting the hair of Kralle.

Madeleine giggles," Why thank you, I can only try of courrr- Wait, was that an insult?"

"Carrying on, Comrade. I think we should hold off on some of the killing of cities and villagers, yes?" Ivan looks to you from across the fire, awaiting an answer that you've already thought about.

"Yes, we need to be smart about who and how many we murder. Especially with the High Priest coming... We can't be sure about how strong he is, should he catch us. And we need to rescue the woman to check to see if she's part of the family..."

"I'm behind you then comrade, your decision... Though.. it could be that things may get out of hand... We had best prepare ourselves if that is the case."

"I agree." An uncommonly heard voice among you, it's Armbrust," I say that we need proper preparation to have excellent performance. There's no excuse if one of us die after all. With Messer and Dorne... I don't want to lose anyone else..." The man looks down and begind to focus on cleaning his crossbow... he seems to no longer be in the mood for words.

Say, where do Akuma go when they die? The thought crosses your mind again... It... perplexes you..

Bah, enough of that nonsense.

Personally, i think killing the exorcist is a bad idea untill we know if it's necesisary or not. Even if we make a clean kill, they'll be missed, and it could cause trouble. Our mission right now is to find awakening, and recently awakened noah clan members. Let's not do anything to jeprodise that.
>>
>>25463639
I think I may have a break through on making black baguette- We need to use a specialized "yeast". Normal yeast reacts to sugar and causes dough to rise.

What we need to do is infect a human with our poison, wait until the end of the third day before they perish -then- we use them to make bread.

not enough for either yet im afraid, but in a couple days....

>>25463878
[X] Take a couple days..

We'll spend time in town baking, we'll keep a close watch on the Exorcists, gather information on everything they reveal, their schedule, their habits and oddities. We can also learn the secrets of the baguette.

Possibly have Schrewe or Madeleine put on their old clothing and talk to them if they think they can keep what they are secret, see if they can't get information from the Exorcists.

Everyone else surveys the town and area around it, gathers information, we set up a perfect ambush for the guards when they're most vulnerable, a lightning strike that takes them out as quickly and efficiently as possible.
>>
>>25463878

PARANOIA is my default mode. A few days. We bake (for it is the most righteous of activities), we gamble (for it makes us rich, and being poor is unforgivable), we "disappear" a few people in the woods (because an Akuma is gonna Akuma), and we keep our ears to the ground.

Above all the "Witch" gets saved before the priest enters its borders. She's highly likely to be a Noah. Must save her, the Duke's work be done!

You buckle down and act more like a leader at this point.. "We'lll blend in here for a couple of days, survey the town, figure out the guards' schedule, and garner more funds if possible-"

"I'll be work at the brothel!" Madeleine chimes in suddenly, the whole family stairs at her, even Mr. Stumpy, the delirious paraplegic gambler.

You rub your face and Ivan takes over this one for you," You... You can stay here... You can.. ehh... ask them questions in your church clothes, yes? Just... just none of that now." He tries to ease her down off of the idea, though she pouts.

"Well, what should I do in my off-time then? I know Schwere's interested in getting some books from market, and I'm sure SHE'S going to be doing something Magey.. Armbrust could just as well be a guardsman, Ivan just needs to kill something in the woods for money, and Kama's taking care of Kralle and Wendel! I.. I"

"We'd rather you not poison people. How about a barmaid?" You offer

Madeleine snatches that right up," Oh! that's a perfect idea! Yesss!"

The slutty Akuma jumps up and down like a little girl... whatever will we do with this one?

It's decided though... information gathering and blending in...

The family will move liberate the prisoner in three days!

Don't you mean good? I mean, once a male is in "afterglow" mode he is most vulnerable. He's happy, exhausted, and ever so trusting. Totally won't see a row of sharp teeth coming. Hell, you kiss his neck, softly, lovingly, he reacts with joy...

Only for it to morph into horror as you sever his jugular and joyfully drink the torrent of blood as you reveal yourself to be an Akuma!

>>25464474
And the massive fatigue. don't forget that.
>>
>>25464401
Oh, I had a question about akuma creation for this setting while you're still awake.

So, normal akuma are made when a grieving person calls a loved one back through the earl's services- could we convert two people over to the earl's side for the process? I mean, could we manipulate events so that both participants are willing before, during, and after akuma creation?

I think that would be even more of a victory for the earl, if we could convince people to want to be akuma instead of just tricking people.
>>
>>25464563
That's called forming a cult.
>>
>>25464563
cult
>>
>>25464563
not sure if canon to this version, but remember there are humans who betray exorcists by selling info to and helping the Earl
>>
>>25464563

Theoretically, yes.

However what powers an Akuma, that makes them different from just a murderbot is the fact that the souls within are tormented by what they need to witness and what they have no control over. It catalyzes their Dark Matter power source and feeds into the Akuma's body, driving the Akuma to evolve and become what they are.

If two people willingly submit themselves to such a hell, I'd see it being based upon a demonic contract of sorts.

Normally, it's not "trickery" as despair and hope can make people do terribly stupid things.

Dancing may be good for her indeed...

Nah, not SCP Cain. Caim. The PCmurderhobo from Drakengard. In the game he literally kills like 10,000 men with his own blade. In the second, the heroine finds him so terrifying as an antagonist that just being within a mile of him makes her revert psychologically to that of a 5 year old.

As I said, that's just a new thought... I'd say to expect that more later on... From a general.

>>
>>25465052
wondering that as well, I mean I'm glad my parasite type idea gives you idea but a little confused
>>
>>25465052

It was implied that the innocence took his speech.

That's a trait from the protagonist murderhobo I had mentioned. After entering a pact with a dragon, he lost his ability of speech as his obligatory pact price in exchange for power, and immortality so long as neither he or the dragon die. In the second game, he shows up as an antagonist... The main is such a hardcore murderhobo that they decide to kill him, its easier to just kill the damn dragon. And before they actually do the deed, he kills a man that made a pact with death itself just because it was a thing to do...

>>
>>25465172

Caim's trait is dragon-powered pure relentless murderhobo...

SCP 076 is... Murderhobo though tasteful and horribly powerful... I'll have to read SCP's again..
Though by matters of personality... A Caim archetype would be harder to deal with. He'd kill innocent bystanders to get at you and not give a single fuck. And neither would his innocence.

076 would likely determine that the Akuma are no fun to kill and rather that they stay alive and observe them.

>>25465224
Bakeries are the key. I have at least 6 planned.

Natural progression. Though upgrading the Oven increases the quality and reduces the odd look of the products.
