Um.. Guys, I am back... ;_;

Welcome back to Commissar quest!

You are Otto Schulte a twelve year old girl currently bunkered down into the administratum vessel: "The Sacred Mertaliam" on the way to what you known only as the "Schola"

Last week we beat up Nikkobar chilled out in the bathroom and are now bunkering down inside holding space six awaiting the transport to take us to the planet.

"He whom drinks with the emperor shalt no know hangovers."

Roll rules:

Highest of first three rolls for things the character is skilled at doing.
Median of first three rolls for things the character is "capable" at.
Lowest of first three rolls for things the character is utterly shit at.

You have to "beat" your stats (which for now are hidden by popular demand, this may change) so low rolls are good.

Cont post explained: If there is a post marked at the end with "cont" its becouse your QM is lazy, and can't type fast - or becouse he wants to give you the option to jump into the current events, or offer opinions, if none are offered he'll continue as normal

Disclamer in regards to Re:Spelling: I suck at spelling big time, if anyone actually cares its due to the fact I suffer from Dysgraphia, its the primary reason I got into RP in the first place, trying to practice my spelling. Its not about "don't complain about it!" but rather: "If you've got the time and want to proof read it great! But lets not clog the thread with it, send it to my E-mail! (Yes I do use a spellchecker)

Disclaimer in regards to Re:Times for games: I am currently finding myself unemployed(or well rather, between graduating one school and moving to the next) as such I've got a lot of spare time - about two months where I've got nothing to do aside from a simple day job selling tickets, these games may be a bit more frequent for awhile - not sure how to deal with free days as I get them, possible get a twitter or something? ;_;

You where standing behind the group - before you nothing but heads, conversing - looking through the large empty hold where the ships sides had unveiled themselfs moments before, now nothing but the glare of this systems sun barely visable from the edge of the upper corner along with the stars far behind it was visable, at least - it was not dark void... A populated system.

As you swing your eyes across the group, numbering well over the hundreds, you notice that a few have simply decided to sit down on the cold harbor floor, a few have even formed a circle around a upturned box seemingly playing some manner of card game.

About twenty minutes ago when you first arrived they had been standing in somewhat neat rows, you where informed by a random passer by that some man had come along, informed them to do so then left rather promtly, the rows had since slowly evaporated...

You gently stroke out the folds in your blue dress, looking out across the massive empty holding space illmuniated rather sparesly from far-above lighting systems, and the glare of the sun - it was rather cold to be honest, and you wish you'd put on your overalls instead, or perhaps at least the heavy boots resting inside your bed-chest-on-wheels, you've so far not broken the line you initially stood in but your legs are aching a bit and you feel an urge to run, or do anything at all. An itch in your legs.

Still you endure...

>What do we do?

>Look around the large empty hold.
>Put on shoes.

Next to you someone sneezed, it was not that surprising you note, the air around you is filled with tiny particles of something - dust, possible it was hard to tell but its been getting inside everything, tiny irritating brownish - it littered the floor quite literally forming piles in some places - dissipating into others.

You sigh - its been ages and still no sign of anyone, at this rate you'll die from stagnation long before anyone comes along, deciding to sit down you peer along the floor trying to find an area not covered in the icky brown stuff, dragging your bed-chest-on-wheels along for the ride.

Moments later you are rewarded with getting your feet of the ground for a moment as one such space reveals itself unoccupied, sitting down next to your chest you bashlessly toss a foot around to inspect the sole, its been bugging you for awhile now, Nikkobars teeth did dig into your foot - or so you assume.

The inspection gladly yield nothing but a faint line of marks, no blood - but slightly red, it does not hurt but then again Uncle Eric once told you about this thing called shock...

Still, no sense wasting any time here you muse to yourself and pull the chest closer beginning your hunt for shoes.

You continue your quest for boots for a moment longer, before you find them - tucked safely into the bottom side - they are a pair of old leather pieces reinforced with steel along the toe section, worn by time and use but strong and firm none-the-less, the only issue being their somewhat to big nature, something which you've fixed with the use of a few pieces of cloth stuffed inside, far from ideal to run in but handy when it gets cold.

You do notice some manner of yelps coming from the gaming table - and someone appears to be leaving the table under hoops and laughter.

Standing up inside your boots you decide to take a bit of a walk - honestly you've stood around for -ages-. The first step in your boots are rather wobbly before you get the stride in, they are to heavy - who walks around in boots anyway, I mean honestly, the floor is always smooth anyway, and if its dirty you can just wash up later.

>>25532223
You do make sure to secure the padlock back in place, you'd rather not lose the few items you've got

Traveling across the room you decide the most interesting place to visit would be the table - perhaps the man lost at it? You seem to recall the adults often taking the game very seriously, not that there are any adults around you muse - everyone you've seen so far appears to be about your age, a few older - some younger, the people at the table obviously in the former category, looking to be about fifteen, maybe sixteen.

Nearly stumbling over your own suddenly heavier boots you arrive next to the table and can clearly hear the lads laughing;

"Oh, he's just mad because he lost his Ka'la, heard he got it from the engineers"

The boy, a scrawny looking lad smiles and shakes a small bottle of some sort in his hand. He turns about to put it away and notice you standing there, offering you a toothy grin he ask:

"Hey'a there girl, you here to play?"

"No thank you, I'd rather not - but, what's in the bottle?"

At this you tilt your head to the side, peering over it - its a clear liquid inside - and about half full, the boy seems to be treating it with some reverence, judging by the way he slowly put it down on the ground only after brushing away some of the brown dust.

"Ye drink it - good stuff, strong." He narrows his eyes "Ye not sent by the crazy conductor right? He's been at our heels all day, inspecting our junk"

Well, I don't see how that's relevant, but honestly I don't think there's a real generalization on it between planets. The Imperium as a whole probably doesn't have an opinion on the subject, it all depends on the local law/culture on whatever planet, spaceship, or region of space you're in. And even if its in places that are very much against it you always end up with hedonistic nobles doing whatever they want.

Though some Inquisitors might consider it and similar acts as a warning sign for Heresy/Slaanesh worship.

You shake your head, stating: ""I'm not interested in your Ka'la, it sounds bleh, are you sure you should be drinking it? It doesn't look like its good for you." to which he just shrugs turning to his friends once again apparently loosing interest in you for now.

You where just turning your head away from the scene when a rumble echoes through the hallway as somewhere across the distant you can hear something slowly lurching into life, craning your neck you do notice far of in the distance - several hundred meters at least a.. something? It looks like some sort of hulking beetle to be honest suddenly jerking about, lurching then stopping again.. the low grumbling fading out into nothingness, squinting your eyes you seem to make out several people on top of it...

It's the only thing besides the group you've actually seen besides a few boxes stacked along the walls so far, what is it even doing here?

The crowd around you appears in the same state as before, casually waiting... shielding your eyes from the glare of the sun while looking past it in the corner you notice another interesting thing - it was in the glare to much before to be easily visible, but some manner of machine sticks out of the ground near the gates like a sore thumb.

This was first, going for it.

You decide that the machine is to far away to be bothered with anyway, it would take minutes to walk there, the machine however close to the opening in the ships side however, is much closer.

Aiming your attention towards it for now you begin walking...

As you stride forward, something of particular note hits you... the view outside the ships open side.. shifts, the ship appears to be slowly turning, something which the internal dampening systems hides from you.

The planet in question is slowly coming into view - a massive thing creeping into view, its hard yet to make out any features, but you feel yourself stunned for awhile.

>>
>>25532853
Shaking your head you continue, hard boots hitting the floor bellow with a low "thunk, thunk" the crowds chatter over voicing most sounds you make however as you stride onward - their collective small talk creating an orchestra of sound where individual voices are impossible to make out.

The planet keep creeping more and more into view however, giving you this odd feeling of "falling" towards it as you stalk up towards the machine, curiosity fueling your attention. Its big, and has white specks all over it - "bellow them" you notice large gray areas filled with lights.

Now permanently holding your hand over the side of your face to aid against the suns glare you step up to the machine, its about twice as tall as you, with several levers stacked all about, and some manner of keyboard - its top appears fashioned into a shrine, you've seen them before - dedicated to the emperor in his clock-work form uncle Eric said, the ommanisaum or something.

>What do we do?
>>
>>25532936

You rub your chin with your free hand while looking the machine over, curiosity sparked - the key board is there - much like the cognitators back at the rooms, but - it does not have any manner of screen visiable you can see - only markings above the levers, they appear to be marked I-II-III-VI and so on, suggesting they are hooked to similar but diffrent parts..?

Drawing from your experiance from working with John's uncle you do remember him mentioning that some cognitators are hidden inside things, usually those dedicated to a singular purpose - like unlocking doors, or powering up/down things.

Perhaps this is similar?

>What do we do?

>>25533012
As you look over the levers trying to realise their function you are however finding yourselfs peering straight in the eyes of the large hulking effegy... remembering the ways uncle Eric taught you, you form the sign of the Aquila, mouthing "Emperor be with us" - the typical prayer for these occations, you think..? Its more by reflex at this point then anything else.

Resiting the urge to simply pull everything you see and later figure out what it does you try and walk around the hulking machine, to see if its sides reveal any mysteries, sheilding your eyes to avoid the suns glare you find that its backside is actually connected to a series of wires leading into the floor - tightly wounded, seemengly connected to something bellow the floor?

From this vantage point you can also see the planet a lot better.. its so big, you also notice several smaller crafts traveling around in orbit of the blue planet, one appears to be a massive ship, much like your own - close enough to make out the details!

You smile, the large open space drawing you in, in particular the large ship just outside. Walking across the last sixty meters or so to the large open area you press yourself up against the atmospherically field keeping the air inside - happy that its solid enough to keep you from falling through!

Looking through you attempt to make sense of what you see - outside are several things.. ships, the planet itself - that oddly enough have some blue smear all over its side..? Your not quite sure what all that blue actually is, are mountains blue? You've heard they tend to be different things.. Regardless, while looking it over you do notice most of the rest of the planet is cowered in large gray patches - with some green smears between them, perhaps the planet is molding...?

Do planets mold..?

Your rather confused however by one thing: One of the ships keep getting bigger.. at first it was just a light spot moving towards you but soon its much larger - it takes a moment before you realize its some smaller kind of transport ship.

.. Is that the ship coming to pick you up!?

You peer closer on the incoming ship - its hard to see any colors really - the suns glare is stealing most colors away, but you do notice its got some manner of pattern, but it could be just about any color, you'd guess some of it is reddish however, the rest is to pale or shimmering to make out properly, almost like liquid silver.

>>25533498
You wait for a spell, hoping to get a better view on the ship - you do notice that its got a giant arm of some sort on its back however - its tucked low along side its roof but your sure it could be moved, what's that for..?

Also, interestingly enough just before you move you do notice a singular mark on its prow, a skull with some.. things sticking out of its top, curving slightly as they go across the ships prow.

Strange.

>>25533455

Deciding that its high time to move however - the ship incoming might be here to pick you up.. and you'd rather not lose the flight you've waited for twelve years to catch... how odd really, a sudden twinge of something hits you as you move, your stomach contracting..

You dart across the floor, stirring up the red dust as your heavy boots smash into the floor, the trip back leaves you panting by the time you've reached your destination, your crate appears untouched, luckily.

Peering out into the void, the ship is creeping ever closer but might be a minute or two left.

Don't think there's anything in the lore about that.

In a BL story, Daemonblood, one does visibly age quite a bit, as one would expect from any regular human.

Though a high-status SoB like a Canoness would probably have access to juveant treatments.

You feel yourself panicking, so many questions are rushing into your mind, what if they hate you..? What if the ship crashes..? What if the planet breaks - mold makes things weaker!?

Slapping yourself in the face with both hands you try to calm down - logic, what did Uncle Eric always say...?

"Do something when your uneasy" - That is it.

Deciding that you had best focus on something else you grab the crate - focusing your attention on ensuring its tight...

Planet mold.

Tight, secured, you had better clean up, yes - clean ups are good. You stand up, shaking your body from top to toe trying to get rid of any dust that have settled across you during your sorties around the holding bay, taking the time to straighten out your dress you feel yourself calming down slightly, until you notice the ship, and the fact that it's about to land.

Planet mold.

You grasp your dress, peering in horror at the ship as it enters the holding area a hundred meters or so away from you - dust flies around the air as all you can think of is how large and hulking it is, like some manner of beast coming to gobble you up.

Luckily we are good at logic, best of three rolls.

Damn it, Otto you think to yourself - ships can't eat you, its just a transport, just a trans-

Planet mold.

No! Deciding to simply focus your attention elsewhere in an effort to calm yourself, you being recounting the seven holy ways to prepare a plasma reactor scrubber for tech adept use...

It helps, once you've manage to calm down you take a closer look at the ship - its large, and its mechanical arm rests secured, now inside you do notice its silvery with a red tint - and its side is covered by a large symbol, a skull with a crown - the same that was on its prow - only now you can see what it really was all along.

Your analysis is broken up however by the sound of something smacking into the floor - the ships backside just opened! The entire thing! - As the ship sits slightly turned towards you luckily you do notice several "people" stepping outside into the room.

The first three are clad in red long flowing coats, but its the two after those that really catch your attention, white massive women - which you judge solely on tier chest plates, for their faces are hidden behind metal helmets, the bottom part of which seems to be fashioned into steel curtains..

Managing only for a moment to look behind them you notice them followed by several other people in flowing robes, but as soon as one of the women turn revealing a massive .. you think its a gun..? Attached to her tight your transfixed again - the way they moved was elegant, efficient striding in their massive armors like they weighted nothing at all...

Who where they..?

You gawk... peering in their direction.. you give a nearby older looking boy a poke in the side to attract his attention - he turns his attention towards you, his face a mask of surprise and awe, no doubt mirroring your own.

"W-who are they..?" - you point in the women direction

The boy return to gaze upon the ever approaching women, and their entourage, he remains silent for a moment before slowly stating:

"I d-don't know... I think t-they might be the schola t-teachers..?"

You both stand in silent reverence ogling the women and their strange looking armor and armaments only interrupted by one of the men in the front, a man with an odd hat and long red coat suddenly yelling out:

"What's this suppose to be? Jump to attention you maggots, who's in charge here?"

A noise behind you - someone crying out in pain as you hear another voice calling out: "Eeh, move - Ye want to taste me stick 'gin? Mive it, attentin, GET IN ZE ROVES!"

Pandemonium breaks out for a moment as everyone tries to get into some semblance of orderly lines - more yelling and the sound of pain echoing out, you can't see it - to many people in the way - but you manage to find yourself a location somewhere in the middle of a line, allowing you some very limited field of vision to the happenings.. but moving closer might not be a good idea as everyone seems to be getting into place..

You notice a change in the line next to your - a momentary flux made by someone, somewhere - taking your time you push the crate towards it, following suit yourself, dodging between surprised people as your bed-crate-on-wheels flies past them, you can hear someone call something out behind you and another shout of pain.

Pushing yourself into the opening straightening up in a second and pretending like nothing happened you find yourself not assaulted nor attacked by anyone thankfully... and now you've got a better vantage point at the group of adults ahead of you - and the large man approaching from behind, carrying a large black rod in his hand which he appears to be slowly stroking as he looks over the crowd with narrowed eyes...

"Order restored Lord-Commissar" he states, turning to the man in red who nods at him.

The man in the odd hat turns to you, or rather the entire group of people, walking slowly towards the center - about two rows away from you, you see him clearer now, a tall man - imposing - his chest appears to be clad in some manner of.. odd frilly armor-thing, with several shiny pieces of metal on display, in his belt however you notice hangs something you've never seen before - a long.. stick, with teeth of which the end with what appears to be a handle he's resting a hand on.

"So, your the new arrivals - late, sloppy - weaklings the bunch of you, but new arrivals none the less... "

Behind him the rest of the group appears to be spreading out in similar fashion, but remaining quiet.

"Tell me, you" - much to your amassment he points directly at you through the crowd "You appeared very eager to get in front, who are you - and why are you here..?"

You look at him overwhelmed for a moment before you managed to stumble out: "P-passanger-02013 s-sir!" gaining a bit more confidence as you move on you continue: "I am here to serve the Emperor! - A-and I moved to the front because I wanted to see our teachers.. and Um, Sir!"

At this you straighten up, praying that you did not mess up - you think you manage to copy the adults being serious until you remember your suppose to look straight ahead rather then with awe look over one of the armored women and correct yourself.

"Close, close - that is only half the truth" - The red clad man walks away from you, talking while he walks hands clasped behind his back.

"You are all here today so that we can judge you, mold you and discard those unfit to lead, for among you are the future heroes of the emperor and the Imperium - your trials are many, many will fail - few will succeed, I am not here to make you succeed - I am here to make the weak ones fail."

He turns around and gestures to his fellows "These are your teachers, a few among many - they will put you through trials unending, but I digress."

He casually beings walking away, and as he passes the red clad men they turn around to follow - you stand frozen for a moment before the man with the stick begins to wave it in the air and yell: "Mive it, MIVE IT - AFITER HIM!" to which the group of people slowly beings to move forward...

Aaaand.

Also, do note there is chances for agumentations and their ilk down the line, I expect many broken bones which will result in hospital visits.

I actually really like the slow pace of CQ. Its oddly quaint and relaxing for a 40K quest about possibly the most grueling thing you can put a child through barring space marine training. It kinda reminds me of a Miyazaki film where even though the world is ridiculous and crazy, thats the norm for them so no one really acknowledges the weirdness.

I dunno, just following around a little kid as she tries to act grown up and learns about cogitators from her new serf friend had a certain charm to it.
Just please quit feeding the trolls who keep trying to turn this into a fetish quest.

The Schola, despite being a future school based on molding us into effective servants of the Emprah is still a high school.

I'm not saying we go full fetish on this, but relationships, and sex, are a part of high school.

So yeah, we shouldn't randomly start sleeping with people but excluding sex entirely would be dishonest to the material we're working with.

Probably will do - Its a blue bord, same reason I can't in detail explain the brains of goon #3 blast into anything besides a "fine red mist" as opposed to anything more, graphic.

Like I said, I could use a paste pin but not really bothered with it, honestly - I doubt it will become a thing either way, romance certainly will, at some point, whereupon I'll brutually remind everyone that we are in the 40k universe and there is a 56% chance your lover will be eaten by chaos, tyranids, tau or an unhappy inqusitor.

But sex? Eh, not even sure I could write it - besides the consensus appears to be for me not to, so thats a thing.
