The date was August 10 in the year 2010 in the Imperial calendar. The Holy Britannian Empire had just declared war upon Japan. Confronted by Britannia’s newest weapon, the formidable Knightmare frame, Japan fell to its enemy in less than a month. The conquered nation was stripped of its freedom, rights, culture, and dignity. Finally, even its name was taken away. 11; the name of Japan and its people was replaced with a mere number.

You are Nick SomethingOrAnother, a nobleborn NEET who was blessed with foreknowledge of all events in R1, season one of Code Geass, a few hours before it all started. You launched yourself into the fray, entrenching yourself with Lelouch vi Britannia and the witch C.C. In typical shounen main character fashion, Lulu ignored damn near every warning about Saitama Ghetto and nearly got himself killed in the process, before you rode in with the soon to be Black Knights and saved his noodly ass.

You come out of the coma slowly, in a bit of a disconnected daze. You slip into a nap for a bit and come out of it fully awake it seems. Of all people, it appears that Tamaki is sleeping in the chair next to you.

"Oi, that you Tamaki?" You ask weakly. You try to sit up, but quickly figure out how to incline your bed.

He startles as he wakes up. He had been leaning back in the chair and nearly falls over. When he rights himself though, he knocks the tv remote to the ground in that perfect movie style fall that turns the tv on. It seems that you haven't been out long. The JLF has just attacked the sakuradite summit. Longer than you think though, since Saitama ghetto was accelerated. "So you're finally awake huh?"

"Yeah. How did I get here? I'm a bit surprised that you would help me out..."

"What the heck are you talking about? You think we wouldn't pay you back for that?"

"Well, I am pretty awesome," you note before he hits you with a magazine.

"Damn Brittanian. I don't know what your angle is, but you're here because you damn near gave up your life for Kallen," Tamaki says.

"Yet you're scowling..."

"I've been waiting here to tell you that we don't want to ever see you again."

"So what happened then? I don't really remember anything after that force ejection. How's Kallen?"

Doc says I should take you for fresh air as soon as possible," he explains as he unfolds a wheelchair and helps you into it. He rolls you over to the elevator to the roof garden with some pleasant, if stilted, nods to the brittanian nurses.

When you finally reach the edge, he starts talking. "Me, Ohgi, and that Zero guy managed to delay the glaucester as the others evacuated. My sutherland got destroyed real quick and I managed to get Kallen out of that damn trap. They left it there to catch Zero, and you led us right to it. I would have killed you right there, but Zero forbid it. You should feel lucky."

"Damn, I'm going to have to improve my piloting skills. I didn't know what I was doing at all in there, I could have done something more," you say, staring off at the cityscape, and glancing at the mirrored emotions on Tamaki's face.

"Everyone made it out okay.. hmm?" he says as his cell rings. He wanders off to answer it, leaving you at the edge as someone else walks up behind you.

"So this is where you are," C.C. says as she walks up behind you and sits down on the edge of the roof.

"All I could determine was that you aren't working with the Order. And you seem to be helping Zero for some reason, so you seem to be no enemy."

"My, hope that cat doesn't get out of the bag. But why haven't you been helping him yourself?"

She's about to answer when Tamaki struts back over. "Hey hey, who the heck is this?"

"An ally. So, are we going to be heading for the bus then? I assume that was you know who on the phone talking about the crisis."

"tch, good guess. But nothing has changed. We're done with you. You can have your friend take you back to your room," Tamaki states.

Oddly enough, you find a brand new pair of mirrored shades next to your mirrored contacts. With no sign of your old pair, you put them on and get ready to head out. "Alright, I'm going to need my mask, a mixing deck, and eight three roman candles... through I can make do without the mixing deck or pyrotechnics..."

"Sorry. Kallen's got the mask."

"Hold on hold on. Get me my mask before I go in. I don't feel like explaining myself fifty times."

"Why are you helping us anyways?" Ohgi asks, looking at you in the rearview mirror.

"What? Think I'm a brittanian spy or something? I work with Zero. I fight with you. You all need me. So just trust me," You explain as Tamaki jumps out and rushes into the bus.

Ohgi steps out without another word and leaves you behind. Time drags on as you wait for one of them to return. Finally fed up with wait, you start crawling out of Ohgi's car when you hear the bus open up.

regardless of your feeble will, you blush a bit as she silently hands your mask to you. "Thanks," she says quietly, staring at your leg.

"Oh don't mention it. I'm fine, I'm fine! Modern medicine is amazing and I got the cash to pay for it!"

"Zero is waiting," she say as you try to stand up but collapse back into the car. She hesitates and considers helping but you wave her off and smile.

"Really, it's not that bad. I can manage," you say as you don your mask and pull out a crutch you stole from the hospital.

As you walk into the bus you hear Lelouch giving another rousing speech. "The Japan Liberation Front has shown themselves to be enemies of justice! They have taken innocents as hostages, and as such, we will destroy them."

"But we're just a small terrorist organization."

"Wrong," you whisper.

"No, we are knights for justice! The strong will fear us, and the weak will rally behind us. No nation has ever fallen to terrorism, so we will not be terrorists. To destroy Brittania, we must become an army for justice."

"So, Lake Kawaguchi. Pretty simple to take care of if you ask me. Since Euphemia is one of the hostages at the moment. Plenty of leverage over Cornelia," you say after collapsing on the couch.

"Princess Euphemia? How could you possibly know that?" Ohgi asks as you chuckle.

"I gotta have some value here don't I?"

"This man is a boon of knowledge. He will be working with us for the time being. What he says is information we need, regardless of his motives," Zero explains as the others stare at you.

He begins to explain his original plan, but you interject once more. "There is a linear cannon in the underwater tunnel, protecting the main support column. That special knightmare frame you saw will attempt to breakthrough."

"The prototype? Interesting how much faith they put in that devicer." Zero responds.

"Don't you put as much faith in Kallen?" You want to see Kallen's reaction to this, but you can't break your gaze with Lelouch.

"Then we should put on a show for them, should we not?"

The day wears on as Lelouch explains the plan, and you are left behind to watch the news as the Black Knights attempt their debut.

Just as he rolls up to Cornelia's entourage, you notice another news blurb. It's a live feed of Euphemia in the governor's palace, speaking about the terrorist attack.

"Uh, timeline's changed boss. Euphie is elsewhere. And Cornelia is going to know that," you text him, but do nothing else. This is in his hands now.

You sit on the edge of your seat and watch the confrontation. "Cornelia. So nice to see you again."

"Zero. Are you a member of the Japan Liberation Front? Or are you here to help us? Regardless, our concerns take precedent. You murdered High Prince Clovis. And I will take revenge!"

"Cornelia. Shooting me now would merely cost you another sibling. Letting me through now will save the lives of your soldiers and of the hostages."

"What kind of empty threat is that?"

"The kind where you let me pass."

You swear as you watch Cornelia process the command, and obey. Zero rolls in to the tower and is cut off from the news feed. Minutes later, you catch a glimpse of Lancelot being lowered into the tunnel.

The support collumn is destroyed and the tower sinks into the lake as Lelouch reveals the Black Knights for the whole world to see.

He begins to release the hostages as they try to escape, but knightmares are moving to surround them

Well if we keep changing things (including the battle of Tokyo after Blood Euphie), Lulu might never be captured by Suzaku, so no R2. If that's the case, knowledge of R2 becomes meaningless and we'd have to improvise based on what we do know of the characters of Code Geass.
>>
>>25577948
Not really, R2 knowledge would still give us more knowledge on motivations, the order, the nature of geass and how to best end the world.
>>
You watch as Cornelia's knightmares encircle the Black Knights. Lelouch and the others get trapped on a small road. Sutherlands are on either side of them. The shift in the timeline seems to be against them, but Lelouch is confidant as always. Before they can be fired upon, Slashharkens fly out of the trees and rip through the sutherland arms. The Saitama Ghetto resistance group seem to be piloting the stolen knightmares. The ambush quickly destroys the initial force, but more are coming towards them. Before you can see more though, one of the knightmares shoot the news helicopter and break off the tail. The last image the world sees is of the news crew crashing into the lake.

If we can talk with Lelouch alone, it will be easier to explain...
"Zero, What I know is 'The Scenario'. Every difference made takes us further from that result, and thusly further from what I foresee occurring."
"In 'The Scenario', the incident in Saitama Ghetto turned out sour for you would have followed the same plan used against Clovis, but Cornelia would have almost caught you, only a lucky diversion would have allowed you to escape, though the cost of the Rebels would have been high. I must say that I failed to realize that changing that would have changed this... My only guess is that due to the perceived strength shown by the Rebellion, Cornelia has forbade Euphy from leaving the Palace... If this is the case, then some things are going to end up so far from the starting point.... But I digress. While the more intricate details may be lost, 'The Scenario' holds to it's core design. While I fully expect some form of punishment due to bad information, you may be interested in a man called Diethard Ried. Ever since your incident with Orange, he has been obsessed with you. Time passes, and soon you hear the rush of vehicles signalling the arrival of Lelouch and the Black Knights. Lelouch busts in first, "We lost half of our knightmares and several of our soldiers operating under false knowledge that you provided us with."

"You altered The Scenario. I cannot control you, especially if you deviate from what I have seen."

"What the hell is that even supposed to mean?"

"I have already changed the course of history, and it cost me my leg. This change caused Euphemia to stay in a more protected area, rather than such a high profile meeting. If you had failed in Saitama Ghetto, as I had foreseen and prevented, she would have been there."

"Don't listen to him! He's a damn Brittanian spy and he set us up!" Tamaki roars as he pulls a pistol on you.

"...I digress. While the more intricate details may be lsot, The Scenario holds to its core design. While I fully expect some form of punishment due to bad information, you may be interested in a man called Diethard Ried. Ever since your incident with Orange, he has been obsessed with you. He is a SpinDoctor of great skill and will help with the PR side of The Scenario."

"That's another damn Brittanian!" Tamaki shouts. He takes a step towards you, but Kallen puts her hand out and stops him.

"If he was a spy, why would he still be here? Why would he have saved me?" she says.

"I will deal with him myself. Having this discussion here will only heat too many emotions," Lelouch says as he turns and marches to his private room. You grimmace and follow after him. Tamaki spits on you as you walk by.

The door shuts behind you, cutting you off from the eyes of the others. "The men I allowed to join the Black Knights from Saitama Ghetto are dangerous... Your information about the linear cannon was accurate. Not even the Brittanians could have known that when you told us; you aren't working for them."

"So you trust me then."

"I have no other choice."

But I thought 4chan was nuclear powered?

Eh.
Though we did do a statistical analysis of how well the OP for Yellowman Quest rolls, and we showed that statistically he rolls low in a roll-high game. So we got him to stop rolling for us, because honestly, it was just punishing the players for whatever it was that he was doing that weighted the RNG in a certain direction.

If you feel the crit ratio is a bit absurd, you can always make us roll 5d20, have the low crit at 5-10.... Bell Curves give more mid range numbers per permutation than straight probability...

sage cause I don't think the thread needs bumping...
>>
>>25581980
At 5d20 , how do you determine how many are counted as crits? Averages, extreme, highest?
>>
>>25582839

the crit values should stay the same, the only thing being affected is the lowest value and the average value...

if 1d100 is replaced by 5d20, the lowest value becomes 5, the highest stays at 100, but you are more likely to get a number between 35 and 65...

The Bell Curve Probability favours the mid range, making crits that much more elusive, and thusly, bring forth more impassioned responses... though that may or may not be what CA wants...
>>
>>25582956
Okay, so what number do I take whenever rolling 5d20?
>>
>>25583012

the sum total, which would be a number between 5 & 100.

e.g. The probability of getting a Critical Failure with a 5d20 bell curve is approximately 1/5000.
This gives a 0.02% chance of a Critical Failure where 1d100 gives a 5% chance of a Critical Failure. Though this applies to Critical Successes as well...
assuming that the Crit Success stays at 90 - 100, the percentage probability for 5d20 is 0.1% against the 1d100's 10%.

Even though the 5d20 chance is one hundredth of the 1d100, the likelihood of getting it is five times more likely than getting a critical failure. And the greater the range, the more exponentially that probability will grow...

In summery, a Bell curve is more likely to give you a mid range roll than straight probability...

Nothing I can do about the misarchive apparently. I guess upvote the current one.

It's been happening a lot recently. Someone is mega butthurt over the fact that tg is having fun with Quests...

At least he gave it the right name... Did you see the Pred Quest one...

also, what do you think of the Bell Curve probability over the standard Straight Probability? It should drop the Crit Chance as listed above...
>>
>>25584598
If I saw it, I didn't recognize it

Why do you want to drop the crit chances?
>>
>>25584670

The Chap archived it as 'Rape Quest'....

Some anons wanted to get around the random number algorithm, so I proposed a Bell Curve as it adds a few more variables to the algorithm...
>>

I'll think about it, but I like the huge amounts of crits personally. Maybe 2d10 work as digits?
