Previous thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25671201/Twitter for quest updates: https://twitter.com/tgdemonquestYou are Narg-Oroloth, or as you have more recently taken to calling yourself, Nathaniel. You are one of Hell's demons, and you have been sent to the mortal world on a mission. There is a valuable object that needs recovering for the might of Satan, and you are the one for the job. After acquainting yourself with the city of Los Angeles, and stealing a few souls in the process, you are ready to continue on your path.(Cont.)
It's been two days since your exploits in the penthouse of the hotel, and you have spent this time laying low in a less lavish, cheaper location. Your wound to the shoulder still aches a bit, but has healed up quite nicely. You roll over in bed, and turn on the TV. You see that you have made the morning news headline: "No suspects arrested in double homicide wild sex-party case." Looks like Emily and Raine haven't fallen under suspicion, then. That means the meeting you arranged is still a possibility, if they decide to show up. You instructed them to meet you at 5:00 PM, at backstreet intersection not far from your hotel. You also remember that you told Rook that you would go to the address he supplied sometime today. It looks like you have a busy day ahead of you.You look to your left, and see that a fresh suit has been draped over a chair. Upon getting up to inspect it, you find a small handwritten note in its breast pocket, which reads "Careful." Good to know your associates down below are looking out for you, then. You spent $600 dollars on your previous excursion, which means you still have $400 dollars left, a reasonable amount. It's currently 11:30 AM, which means most of the day is still at your disposal. What will you do?
>>25689531reroll I hate this character
Lets go see Rook. If we see any hobos on the way, make sure to blast envy at them so that we can get a full on hobo thievery spree going.
>>25689531Get up, get dressed, make sure we're looking good, head to the address we got from Rook.
>>25689531Let's just wander aimlessly for an hour or two. Maybe sow some chaos.
>>25689666That's an interesting roll.
>>25689666You have the devils own luck
>>25689626>>25689620You decide to first go and visit Rook. After looking up his address on your phone, you see that it isn't close to your current location, and it would take about an hour and a half to walk there. Instead, you decide to spend a small amount of money on a taxi to get there. You get dressed, go outside, and get in the taxi you called. You get a feel for the taxi driver's soul, but it doesn't feel easily corruptible. As you ride, you notice that the neighborhood you are moving into has a dingy, old, and musky feel. It is filled with old houses and storefronts, none in very good repair. When pay and exit the taxi to arrive at your address, you almost mistake it for the wrong place. The windows are covered up, the door is painted over, and no sign hangs above it. However, upon further investigation, around the alleyway in the back, is a smaller door, with a small discreet sign on its right: "Goodfellow's jewelry and antiques."
>>25689776Erm... Go in?
Spend a moment making sure that no one has followed you before entering going down the Alley and entering the shop.
>>25689776You knock, and after a few seconds, the door is opened by a tall, lean man. His head is complemented with a receding line of brown hair sprinkled with grey flecks, and his eyes are a steely grey. After appraising you for a few seconds, he speaks. "So you are the one who was in contact with me over the phone a few days ago? Come in." He moves aside for you, and closes the door behind you as you enter. His shop looks like any other antique shop you might find in the city, but his content is more esoteric than that of the average dealer. Alongside old chairs and tables are grimores, amulets, and runes. After leading you deeper into his shop, he turns to face you. "You were seeking information on Origeth?"
"Yes, more specificly the location of it." Then sit down in the one of the chairs and fold your legs like a gentleman, of course.
>>25690029>>25690056"Yes, I am. Would you happen to know its location?" You lower yourself into one of his chairs."Heh, nope. I do have the second-best thing, though. Its probably the best you'll be able to get, besides hearsay and rumor. I have a journal, written by a self-proclaimed prophet years ago. It focuses on this Origeth, and it might have what you're looking for within it."
>>25690163And what do you want for this journal?
"Better than nothing" Then request that he grab it so that you can verify that it is what he says it is.
>>25690217>>25690257"And what do you want for this journal? Could I get some verification of its content?"He similes. "Good, right to the point. Yes, one moment." He goes to the back, and returns with and old leather-bound journal, handing it to you. It does indeed seem to focus on Origeth, but it seems to be written by a madperson. Most of its content is almost illegible, and written in a strange prose-like form. "I have an item I would like retrieved, if you think this journal is what you are looking for, that will suffice as payment."You are conflicted at this point, because you aren't sure what to think of Rook's offer. Does this journal really contain the information you need, and will it be worth what Rook will ask you to do?
>>25690412"What do you need done?"
>>25690412"Tell me what you need retrieved and then I will decide on wether the price is low enough for me to buy."
>>25690445>>25690458"What do you need retrieved?""A ring. It holds value to me, as it will complete my collection. It is currently under the possession of another individual, and if you accept my offer, I will give you information on how to find him."
>>25690491"How do I know you won't back out on the deal once I get this ring for you?" Also try to get information on the person we are stealing it from before agreeing to it.
>>25690491"It seems a fair contract. I agree."
>>25690552"How do I know you won't back out once I deliver? I'll need more information on the target before I can agree to anything."He thinks for a moment, before replying. "Very well. He is a rich socialite, living the exuberant life as some do. He is not aware of the significance of the ring, and sees it only as a pretty accessory. And as for keeping up my end? I haven't been in this business for as long as I have without cultivating a good reputation. If you don't believe me, talk to whoever referred you."
>>25690686"Alright, give me the information, I will fetch it for you, and then I get that journal."
>>25690686Before we agree, emotional/soul status on rook.
>>25690780He seems calm, as far as you can tell. You have some difficulty reading him, he seems to have some kind of self-created barrier set up.
>>25690804"That is a nice barrier you have. Enochian symbols? Dabble in the dark arts? I've always wanted to learn. This ring some charm too it?"
>>25690836"I see you have a nice barrier setup around yourself. Enochian symbols, dabbling in the dark arts? I've always wanted to learn. This ring have some charm to it too?"Well, in this business, you have to learn something, in order to protect yourself. And there's no need to play games with me. I don't know who you are, but I do that by your air, what you're looking for, you aren't naive. And yes, the ring is sealed with special energies, this is what makes it valuable."
>>25690933Let's not dawdle.
>>25690933"I just don't want to stumble onto anything that might be cursed or harmful to me. I'll get the ring for you. I assume anything from this man is fare game? His life if need be?"
>>25690933"Fair enough, I accept your proposal, I will bring that ring to you in exchange for the journal." We need to try and appraise the ring and see what powers it has after we grab it, most definetly.
>>25690994>>25690985"Alright, I'll do it. And the man, fair game, his life if need be?"He chuckles. "Yes, that would be fine. Here, take this." He hands you a manila folder. "This should have all the information you need. When you are finished, return here with your spoils, and you will get the journal." You both get up, and he walks you to the door. As you leave, he reaches out to shake your hand, and you accept. "Glad to be doing business with you," he says, as you say you goodbyes, and walk away from his shop.It is now 1:00, and it takes 30 minutes to get back to your hotel, so you have a good amount of time to do whatever you like.
>>25691127look for a hobo
>>25691127We're in the city of fallen angels. We should find a minion. Perhaps track down possible candidates on the street, or if we sense anything to our liking.Preferably female. A woman has certain advantages that would prove useful into getting into a rich socialite's home.
>>25691127Read the information we got, and get some coffee or something. While doing this too >>25691206
>>25691127Let's wander. Perhaps will come upon something interesting.
>>25691152You begin walking down the street, looking for a likely suspect.>>25691206You do hopefully have the meeting with the two girls from the hotel later today, which you hope will prove to be what you are talking about.
>>25691206We're already setting ourselves up to get this from last thread bro ;) good idea otherwise though. Also, status on if the souls we got brought us some sweet stuff
>>25691295We need to buy more powers if we can
>>25691295Aside from having an easier time to tempt others to lust/wrath now, nothing yet, You'll gain a new ability at 5 souls, any type.>>25691238You haven't seen any homeless people by the time you find a small coffeshop. You step inside, order a coffee, and sit down and begin to go over the folder. His name is Eric Dunham, and as Rook said, he appears to be a rich socialite. Owning several estates, he has been doing well for himself. It isn't clear how he came into his money, although it cites several business investments he has made. Most importantly, next Saturday, he will be hosting a party at one of his luxurious properties.
>>25691441powering up our emotional feel will go an insanely long way. Outside of quicker shapeshifting or straight up mind control, I can't think of a better ability.
>>25691441Y'know what'd be a sweet power?Vector Manipulation
>>25691485>Attend party>Blast envy and greed all over everyone>Once that's well built up to insane levels, try to convert it into wrath>Bathe in the blood of yuppies
>>25691552"Knight takes Rook." Then his entire house explodes in fury.
>>25691485Perfect. We can infiltrate the party and get the ring then.Any interesting things in the shop?
>>25691552not the worst plan but let's keep an open mind
>>25691485Find this property and see if we know anyone whose going to be working at the party. Rich assholes gathering together? Couple of them probably owe Hell their souls.
>>25691588There are two other patrons, an older woman working on her laptop, a younger man reading the paper, and another young man that is the barista. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Their souls appear average, the man reading the paper is a little tainted.
>>25691642Can we tell at all what the taint is predominantly composed of on souls? If not, that would be a fine future upgrade.
>>25691642Let's pin-point this man's taint? Is it lust? Anger? Is he a war vet?
You know what would be really, really easy souls? Prison. Dispose of one of the guards, preferably one without a family, and shapeshift into them.Soul buffet.
>>25691675>>25691665Using your existing knowledge and skills, you try to determine its origin. You can't be quite sure, but you can tell that it isn't lust or wrath.
>>25691696oooh yeah. Great idea. we need to get the girls and get them well before we shapechange though.
>>25691709He's not worth it. Let's find a place full of decadence.
Jesus, I almost missed the thread!
Today has been uneventful so far. Let's do something.
>>25691709May as well talk to him quickly. Turn up the charm and be all "howsit goin' there buddy?"
>>25691709Hm."Hello sir, I was wondering when you were done reading with that, I was wondering if I could read the funnies when you were done." Let's get a quick look into this man with small talk. If he's not important we can just leave,
Is gay stuff considered a sin?
>>25691805Depends on who you ask. Doing 'gay stuff' out of lust instead of love would probably be considered a sin, but if two men loved each other and were good people then probably not.
>>25691828Let's stop this conversation before it derails the train.
>>25691778>>25691783You walk up to him, and sit down on a stool beside him."Hey, how's it going? Could I borrow that paper once you're done to read the funnies?""Oh, hello. Sure, I'm almost done."You still aren't getting a great read on his soul.(If you'd like, d100 for success on reading the sin he is tainted with, 60+ for success).
Rolled 63>>25691862My money's on thief.
>>25691876You try one more time to determine what has touched his soul, and you are finally able to tell it is greed. You aren't sure how it got this way, but maybe with a little questioning, you could dig it out of him.
>>25691905We could flash our cash wad and make sure he sees it while we tip the waiter something like a 20 to see how mr greedy reacts.
>>25691928order something, make a decent tip and flash the wad, watch his reaction.
>>25691905Greed and gluttony are easily conflated. We should try to make him eat quite a bit more. When he runs out of food money in his pocket, he'll need to swipe some food or cash to continue.
Rolled 99>>25691709who about we use emile and raine as a way to get to Eric Dunham. have them pose as high class prostitutes or what have you. maybe one of them can pretend to faint in front of a close associate of eric, the associate brings the two girls to his flat, one keeps him occupide, the other lets us in, then all we need is a corkscrewer and a erection -those OctoFan , u so right captca
Aaaand I'm caught up.Also I have no idea what to add to this right now so I'll just go ahead and sit back until I can help.
>>25691960If we wanted to work at it, we could build him up to cannibalism.
>>25691960>>25691996yeah flashing the wad and shit while firing gluttony
>>25691996This guy is just a random fool not worth our trouble. Let's find a different place.
>>25691905"My name is Nathaniel." We say so our false name doesn't sound so fake in our mouth's. "Anything interesting in the paper?" We figure out what he reads, we see what his greed is focused on.
>>25691928>>25691952You order another drink, and tip the barista as he brings it to you. The man glances at your money, and his eyes perk up a bit. You start to amplify the greed that already lays within him. After a little while, he hands you the paper, and orders another coffee. "So, what do you do for a living?" He asks.
>>25692037This. If we let the guy try to steal our wallet, it's gonna lead to us fighting him in a publicly visible setting. Do we really wanna be running from the police again?
>>25692057"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Then we pause. "Actually. How about this. We make a bet. You tell me what you do and then I'll tell you what I do. A hundred bucks to the stranger job."
>>25692057"Oh a bit of this, a bit of that. Odd jobs for... eccentric clients."We might be able to get him to try to steal the ring, or become a cog in our plots if we offer him a job.
>>25692037Think of this as practice before we deal with the greed of the likes of our target. Once we find their weakness we exploit it and use it as our blade.
Well lets get some sort of consensus on what to say in return, since its split right now.
>>25692108This. It's constructive,
>>25692108something along this line yeah. Mostly finding things for collectors
>>25692192>>25692108"Oh a bit of this, a bit of that. Odd jobs for... eccentric clients. What about you?""Uhh, currently out of a job unfortunately."
>>25692285offer our sympathies, more of the greed/gluttony combo. As what his usual line of work is
>>25692285"Well you're in luck, then. I've been tasked with... acquiring something rare and I believe I may find myself short of hand. What would you say to an opportunity? I can assure you, the pay would be fair."It's time to make this man into a thief. We don't have to have him work right onto the ring, we can get him to start breaking into houses and stealing random shit. At the very least, it would season up his soul with lots of dickass thievery.
>>25692347We're low on cash anyway, lets take this man on a test drive or something. We can encourage his envy. Time for muggings or con jobs.
>>25692347>>25692387I think we should get a bit more info out of him beforehand. But I agree, more servitors would be great.
>>25692347Rewording since I don't think we're going to put him on the ring job would be best."Well you're in luck! Another pair of competent hands are always appreciated, so what would you say to some quick, easy coin? Something easy to start you off, how's that sound?"Then we can go a burgling.
>>25692422Oh boy I love to burgle!
>>25692316>>25692347"Oh, I'm sorry. However, I think this is your lucky day. Another pair of competent hands are always appreciated, so what would you say to some quick, easy coin? Something easy to start you off, how's that sound?" You continue to feed him gluttony and greed."Uh, what are you suggesting exactly? You want me to work for you, doing what?" Even though his words are skeptical, you can sense some hope and excitement.
>>25692471"Acquisition. My clients are mostly collectors of one kind or another, and unfortunately not all of what I am tasked to find is initially for sale. I want you to assist me in working around that issue."
>>25692471"Some basic procurement, getting odds-and-ends for us."
>>25692471Make sure to keep up the greed influence."What exactly? Making money. Nothing too extreme to start off. If you're interested, give me a call."Smile, put our hand on his shoulder and give him our number. Charm to maximum.
>>25692506>>25692512I stand corrected. This one.
>>25692512Change "making money" to what >>25692507 said. So it would read as>What exactly? Some basic procurement, getting odds-and-ends for us. Nothing too extreme to start off. If you're interested, give me a call.
Rolled 9>>25692471Spaghetti all over the table.
Rolled 6>>25692512We certainly have a business card we can pull from the nether.
>>25692512>>25692528You put your hand on his shoulder, ramp up the energies you are supplying him with, and turn on your charms full force. "What exactly? Some basic procurement, getting odds-and-ends for us. Nothing too extreme to start off. If you're interested, give me a call." You tell him your phone number. "Sounds good, I'll be sure to give you a call." It appears your approach worked, he seems excited by this new prospect.
And now we're going to need to scope out some places to burgle.
>>25692563Let's go scope out the fancy rich guy neighborhood where the ring guy lives. What day is it now? How long til the party?
>>25692584It is currently a Sunday, so six days. You say your goodbyes, head out the door, and get in a taxi to take you to the neighborhood of your target.
>>25692568>>25692584Yeah, scoping gives us something to spend our time on until party/meeting with the girls. BTW does the two clash?
>>25692626how much longer until we check up on our two darlings?
>>25692584i Second this
>>25692626You get there, and step out of the taxi, and start walking around. The neighborhood is very nice; Large houses, immaculate gardens, obviously its residents are very rich. It looks like there would be good pickings to burgle, also. However, you notice some houses have security equipment installed. Eric's house is easily one of the nicest you see. A huge yard, two stories, patio, swimming pool and fountain, the works. You can see why he has chosen this to be the party venue.>>25692642>>25692636It's 2:30 now, the meeting is at five. As for the girls clashing, you haven't had too long with them yet to find out exactly how they interact.
>>25692686ambient energies surrounding the place? he wouldnt happen to have any protection 'not of this world'?
>>25692686Let's find a nice big house, maybe the one next to Eric's, and knock on the door. Hopefully, some Latina maid will answer. So all we have to do is lay the charm on thick and be all "I'm terribly sorry, but I was trying to get in touch with my friend and I'm out here without a phone. Well, not really. I have a phone, but the battery died." Smile, maybe a small groany 'oh why me' facepalm motion. "I need to be less forgetful." More charm. Smile. ""If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could I use the phone?"Make sure we take the battery out of out phone and put it in our back pocket beforehand so we can mash buttons and try to turn it on.When we get in, make mental note of the positions of shit to steal. Or if the maid is already somewhat corrupted by greed or lust or wrath or anything really, we can twist this for somethign even better.
>>25692686Causally search out possible escape routes in case things go south (well, souther than we like)
>>25692686never mind the clashing thing, I meant something entirely different because I derped up and thought the party was tonight.Look for places that seem to have some sort of affinity for cool old stuff.
>>25692714thats one more person that see's our face...
>>25692741Quick facial restructure? It's 6 days til the party. We could make our skin a bit lighter or darker and change some minor things for this.
>>25692710No, none.>>25692721There is a 7ft cast-iron fence around the property, but you could probably climb it without much trouble. The only gate is in the front driveway, in front of the house.
>>25692756Nvm. Forgot about the meeting with the girls at 5 ad we couldn't change back before that I don't think
>>25692767i think it best we save our energy to mold our two new followers, and to turn this party into a Sinfest
>>25692766Im in favor of a timeskip so we can mold our new minions, the party is in several days time, that will give us an opportunity to get inside the place and scout some more
>>25692786amen. Thiefguy was a worthwhile investment in the future, but for now we do what useful scouting we can, maybe get sinreads on some of the people here if they come around, then head for the meeting with the girls
Just look at the house for a bit. Try to notice if anything is off. Note the cars, doors, and the windows, What's the backyard like? After that, time to go back to bitches
>>25692814Backyard is large, well-maintained. As far as you can see, all doors/windows are shut, they look fairly sturdy. There is one sportscar in the driveway, but there could be more in the garage adjoining the house.Since its around 3:30 now, you decide to head back to your hotel, so you can get to your meeting with the girls on time.
>>25692843Put on some fancy Hell cologne.Soulless are just kinda like thralls or something, right?
>>25692852they can be, we have to give them that final push to become them.So we'll need to do this carefully, or we'll need to kill them
>>25692896I don't think we'll need to kill them. Unless the police already know how we were spending our time in that bedroom, there is probably enough shame involved, at least for now, that they'll keep their mouth shut as much as possible. On the other hand, I think thrallifying them should be doable provided they show up. I suggest an approach along the lines of inducing a sort of sexual addiction to us.
>>25692965could work. ultimately though i would like to... alter, their mortal coil.Maybe we dont have the power to make them FULL demon, but two demonic thralls with minor powers could help us in the long run
>>25692998Ah yes. Very good idea indeed. But I think we should hold off on that until they're well settled in addicting to our D as well as their submissive role. Then work on turning them into pseudosuccubi
>>25693034i love it
>>25693034An excellent idea
>>25692852No, they still have free will, and aren't automatically under your influence. You'll have to pull that kind of thing off yourself. You get back to the hotel to freshen up, and begin your walk to the agreed meeting location. As you do so, your mind draws back to the night at the hotel. Will they both be there, just one, or even neither of them? You can't be too sure, given the circumstances. Its been two days, and your heavy dose of lust energy could have worn off by now.As you approach the quiet intersection of backstreets, you can see that only one figure stands at the corner. Emily is there with her back against a streetlamp, waiting. You can feel her tense up as she sees you approach. She is wearing a red top with a black skirt which falls down to her knees, her hair falling around the sides of her face. You arrive, and stand in front of her. There are a few moments of silence, while she collects her thoughts. Then, slowly, with some fear in her voice, she speaks."Look, I-I don't know who you are, or what you did to us, they say we were drugged but I know that's not what happened. And then he attacked you, and you got up even though he got the poker through your shoulder and now..." She reaches up to touch your shoulder, sees that the wound is gone. She pulls back, shocked."W-What are you?!"
>>25693113"You could say that I'm a guardian angel."Smile, adjust clothes, "Just a bit more of a practical one. You're looking quite lovely, m'dear. A shame your friend wasn't able to make it."Look Emily up and down. Anything that could be concealing a wire. "How are you holding up?" Then give a nice pulse of lust energy to erode at her mind.
>>25693113Shrug. "Just a man." Tilt head and smile slightly without showing teeth. "I'm glad you're not hurt."Trying to think up a scheme to follow this nice little setup, but I'm drawing blanks. Maybe ask about Raine? I'm not sure.
>>25693166this, tone up a bit of trust as wellis it possible to nullify electronics with energy?
>>25693113Add a bit of trust."Im just a man who was lucky enough to save two beautiful women that day. Im happy to see you are alright"
>>25693113Tell her you're a vampire and hope she's read twilight.Come on. It'd be funny.
>>25693211>inb4 vampires are also a thing in this setting.
>>25693113Feed her primarily soothing influence with a small tingle of lust.>>25693166I propose the following change:"You could say something along the lines of a guardian angel. But a more practical one" Smile and clothes adjustment "You're looking quite lovely m'dear. If I'm not too far off, you'll have more questions and I'll be happy to answer them. But let's find a place to sit, maybe a cup of coffe? my treat."Ask how she's holding up while finding such a place if she agrees
>>25693211I don't think we need to call vampirism to feed off of the same sort of vibe lol
>>25693226we're a demon in the fleshi'd be surprised if there wasnt
We should know, being from hell and all, but are demons in this fallen angels or are they some other thing?
>>25693234this, we nudge it to a public place, would help to see if there are any feds tailing her
>>25693234I dislike the road we've been taking. I propose we change course and head to full Wrath-mode. There has not been enough killing.
>>25693268Convincing a chick to fuck her cousin and murdering a dude with a fireplace poker after he murders some chick with said poker isn't entertaining?
>>25693268I concur. After we deal with this young lady, we'll get some nice gang warfare going on.Speaking of Wrath... any chance of us crafting something like the Ultimate Eye for ourselves?
>>25693113"They say that people have souls. Little keys to the afterlife that take us to where we want to go; things that we never want to lose. I can feel these. I can feel them in every living thing that I meet. I can feel their purity, and I can feel their ruin. They are the least and most important thing that any of us will ever have, and if we should ever lose them... -That- is who I am."
>>25693268i intend to have the party end in a Greedy and Envy fueled Rampage. Would that not be sufficient?
>>25693268Dude, right now we've got points in lust and wrath. Focusing on one sin is a bad idea, not nearly enough utility. Subtlety is also a good thing for us, since we want to maintain cover and all. And wrath is the least subtle sin in most cases. Plus it's easier to get wrath going with emotion support via envy, lust, pride etc.
Another idea for hilarity and corruption.>go to hospital>pump sloth all over the doctors and nurses>Negligence leads to deaths>Angry family members ensue>Take advantage of their anger to augment their wrath>Hue4days as pissed off family members murder doctors and we get souls
>>25693333Another thing that would be hilarious is to go to a mental ward and just fuck with all the crazy people's emotions. It's the perfect shit storm.
>>25693333>>25693349i dont think kick-starting the apocalypse was in our day-to-day
>>25693333>>25693349Filed away on the 'To Do' list, along with the prison thing
You look for anything that could be concealing a wire, but can't easily find such a location on her body. Her tank top tightly presses against her body, and is thin enough so you can see the outline of her bra beneath it. Possibly underneath her skirt, but you don't sense any emotions that would lead you to believe she would be double-crossing you."You could say something along the lines of a guardian angel. But more of a practical one." You feed some lust, and some trust. "You're looking lovely today, would you like to find a private place to talk? How have you been since Friday?" You offer your hand. She steps back, staring into your eyes."You're no angel, an angel doesn't do what you did."
>>25693396Suggesting >>25693296 again.
>>25693396"Which is... What? Protect you from the murdering psychopath that was ready to strike you and the bride-to-be down?"Continue feeding lust and trust into her, shrug again. "I'm sorry that it had to be as overt as it was, but it was the only way to ensure that he couldn't hurt either of you in the process. Hopefully the police have treated you well? I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed you." Give her a firm push of both to emphasize things. Also, any thoughts on seeing about laying the foundations for some half-demons here? Our talents could go to great use sowing the seeds (ho ho) for a future army.>>25693333>An entertaining notion, to certainly be saved for later.
>>25693413>>25693397oh shit, i didnt, i second the fuck out of this.Moar trust. Offer to answer any questions she has.Take a few steps back as you make the offer for a bite to eat. Encourage her to come to us out of her comfort zone.
>>25693452 Okay First this post>>25693452then we do this>>25693468finally we crown it with this>>25693296
>>25693452>>25693468these two. once her trust starts to raise a bit higher, and she starts coming out of her shell... hit her with >>25693296
>>25693500>>25693483Exactly. The thing with the souls and loosing them and all that is a bit convoluted. We need to feed her some more trust beforehand instead of firing it off at the get-go. Say that the guardian angel bit wasn't entirely litteral, just the closest similie you could think of, as lead in to the souls thing.
>>25693396"I didn't drug you. You can't blame me for what happened that night. I'm someone who protects people. I'm a helper. You know God works in mysterious ways. I'm not God, but I am one of his ways."
>>25693538Not allowed. We cannot speak the name of God.
>>25693549God's name is Yahweh.
>>25693538>>25693549this also isnt miss holy-pants. i dont this we need to invoke Him to get our point across
>>25693549Vauge if that is 'God' or 'JHVH'. Also if the former can we say the word god in reference to something else, like Thor or a hypotehtical discussion about tzeench
>>25693575 oh stop it, you're making me blush
Don't pretend to be an angel that is foolish.
>>25693549Oh shoot, silly me. Maybe "the Lord"? Or "He"?>>25693571She isn't Bible Beth, but she does think we're something not human, and if we can get her to think that we're something that's good and helpful we might be able to get her to our side.
>>25693603still, we need her calm and trustful before we lay in on the Metaphysical crap that is our existance
>>25693483>>25693500You step back also, and shrug. "I'm sorry that it had to be as overt as it was, but it was the only way to ensure that he couldn't hurt either of you in the process. Hopefully the police have treated you well? I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed you." You feel that the subtle combination of reawakened lust, and your stream of trust are calming her down. "Would you like to get something to eat?"She nods hesitantly. "Alright."You begin walking down the street towards a cafe a block away."I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression when I talked about an angel. It was the closest simile I could think of."She looks up at you again."Then what are you, really?""They say that people have souls. Little keys to the afterlife that take us to where we want to go; things that we never want to lose. I can feel these. I can feel them in every living thing that I meet. I can feel their purity, and I can feel their ruin. They are the least and most important thing that any of us will ever have, and if we should ever lose them... -That- is who I am."She looks down, thinking, and then speaks again, Still looking down."Is that what you did to that man? To Raine, me?" She seems agitated. Your stream of trust is working to mitigate some of this, but it only goes so far.
>>25693618Now, now. It's not like you exactly need a soul to have a good time. Come. I think you'll find yourself feeling much more.. liberated.
>>25693618"Try not to think of it as me having taken your souls. They cannot be harmed so long as they are with me. Think of it as safekeeping."
>>25693618"No. That is what he would have done to you. I saved you from a fate far, far worse than the death that would have otherwise occurred."Smile at her, "You seem to hold a lot of anger towards me. Care to take some of that anger out on me?" A nice shove of lust. "I'm standing right here, after all."
>>25693618LIE LIE LIE"No, I just locked them in you. You should have died the other night. That asshole would have killed all of you. I could taste it in him. So I hid you and your cousin away from Fate. That's why I had to get the two of you close. I needed to be able to feel you the best that I could to do it.""I'm sure you've been feeling strange since then, more than shock. That's because your soul is stuck in limbo until the ties I left on it loosen. I want to protect you. You're vulnerable tied up like this, but I couldn't you die."Flood trust and fear into her.
>>25693669DO NOT LIE.If we remain truthful with her, no matter how awful the truth may be it will foster trust. So long as fault cannot be found within us or our words, she will come back to us again and again to know what's going on.
>>25693669And lust. We already have her soul. Her usefulness to us is purely as a lackey and as a carrier for a potential fallback plan (demon child) at this point. It couldn't hurt to have her busy making an army for us either, especially if we have some ritual stuff to make her more suitable for that task.
>>25693669This. Put some emphasis on you, hint vaguely that saving her was more important to us than saving Raine.
>>25693723We've already taken their souls. They serve no further purpose. Let's end them.
>>25693699I understand your point, but I think lying here is a lot less likely to lose her than your suggestion unless we can develop yours more.If we can do this without lying, I would like that, but I don't think that we can give her enough of a reason to help us without it.
Can we give souls back?
>>25693669>>25693706>>25693723>>25693740If you guys are intent on going with this, it would work better if we told the truth with it instead of lying and saying that their souls are locked away inside them. In other words, a combination of this suggestion and my safekeeping suggestion.
>>25693747We don't want to. We want to make her believe that we is safekeeping hers, then make her trust us enough to make her feel at peace with us doing it permanently.>>25693735She serves a purpose as a servitor and/or mother of some half-demons
>>25693761Give me a second.
>>25693775watcha got? im out of ideas right now
>>25693761Why not just kill her?
>>25693761True. I'll leave the final writeup to >>25693775
>>25693747re. tard. ed.
>>25693787because servants are useful, and killing her gets us nothing except for possibly more issues with the police
>>25693787chances are, she is being tailed by the feds, or has a wire on her
>>25693813shit, while we are on the way to food. Scout for conspicuous and inconspicuous vehicles. Keep an active, but subtle, eye out for feds and the like
>>25693816>>25693813Generally keep discreetly vigilant
>>25693618"Not the way that you're thinking. You should have died the other night. That monster would have killed all of you. I could taste it in him. So I hid you and your cousin away from Fate. That's why I had to get the two of you close. I needed to be able to feel you the best that I could to do it.""I'm sure you've been feeling strange since then, more than shock. Your body is adjusting to living separate from your soul. I just wanted to protect you. I never tried to hold anyone's soul before, but I had to do something. Please, try to understand. I saw you, and I couldn't you die. "Optional: "I've never done this before. It was all quick thinking. So I have your soul stuck in me. I'm not sure how to give it back. I'm keeping it safe, but I don't know how to stop keeping it. I swear on all that I hold sacred that I'm working on giving it back. I've got a lead, but I might need help. Please, consider it. I'll keep in contact with you if you can do anything. Just, think about your cousin."
>>25693851splice the two and i think we have a winner
>>25693851Shoot, that first paragraph should read ". So I hid you and your cousin away from Fate. I took your soul and hid it inside of me. That's why I had to get the two of you close. "
>>25693857Seconded, thirded and fifthed
>>25693851Meh.Let's get rid of her. She's nothing but a burden. Let's focus on consuming more souls.Find an alley and let's get rid of her.
>>25693890no>>25693878Also, changed my name to fit the prince, lord, duke theme thing we've got going
>>25693851You prepare yourself for a final push of emotional connection to seal the deal. "Not the way that you're thinking. You should have died the other night. That monster would have killed all of you. I could taste it in him. So I hid you and your cousin away from Fate. I took your soul and hid it inside of me. I saw you, and I couldn't you die."She stops, and looks up at you. Your energy flooding her reaches a critical mass, and something inside her snaps, and the floodgates open. She starts talking fast, stumbling over her words. "I-Is that why I feel so... connected when I'm with you? I feel different then I've felt near anyone else, I feel safe. Raine has her family, but I feel so alone but not with you. You can.. keep me safe, with my soul?"
>>25693940always, now and forever
>>25693940"I will always keep your soul safe, always. But my situation here is, shall we say, complicated. I may need to ask you to do things for me, often possibly odd things and I can't exactly explain why it needs to be done."
>>25693946lets save that for tomorrow, we have the time. We just got her trust, we'll start molding her over the course of the nextfew days
>>25693952This.But say that yes we can, now and forever. We have to be subtle and not rush this.
>>25693940>>25693946>>25693945"I will always keep your soul in safe hands."Then stand a bit closer, guide her towards an alleyway. It'll dirty her mind up a bit further for what we have in mind."Raine has her family, but you have me." Put hands on her shoulders, then press her against an alley wall for a kiss. We've got her wrapped around our finger-- now let's get busy with the infernal child and get to collecting additional minions.
>>25693959She's one measly mortal. We have her fairly well tied-up up to this point, so let's work on getting some larger-scale soul harvesting going.
>>25693945Basically this.>>25693946I think that we can soften this to ease her into it."I might need your help, darling. I don't think that it will be much on your end, but I might need you to work with me to protect you.:
>>25693296Now forget me, Rose Tyler.
>>25693945>>25693946Let's not be so maudlin, though."Yes."
"Always, and forever. I might need your help, darling. I don't think that it will be much on your end, but I might need you to work with me to protect you."She throws her arms around your neck, and collapses into you. "Yes of course." She begins sobbing, her tears soaking into the soft silk of your suit.
>>25694008Smack her with the back of your hand and shout, "BITCH! YOU'RE RUINING THE FABRIC!"
>>25694008Hug her back, gently start running a hand through her, don't say anything, just let her cry it out, try not to give in to the temptation of maniacal laughter.
>>25694018Oh please, like you need to pay to get a new one.
>>25694008>>25694021This, but let's add a note of manipulation in there."Firstly, I'll need you to bear my child. A family of your own-- many children, in fact, all seeds that will serve very important roles in the times to come. Are you willing to do this?"
>>25694021>start running your hand through herI thought we weren't killing her?
>>25694037I missed a word. Running a hand through her hair.I thought I typed that bit out.
>>25694008Hug it out until she stops crying.Tell her that you must go, and you can't explain why. Take her contact information, and reassure her that you'll be back with her soon so she should keep her schedule open. Then hit with a huge blast of trust and lust and whatever we can to bring her to love and devotion and leave. We've got some soul thievery to do.
>>25694045I figured you did. I was being a smartass.Friendly sage for not contributing.
>>25694046I'm in agreement with the idea to have her devoted, but let's get that army/demon spawn in place. If nothing else, we can use it as a "Respawn" should something happen to our physical body.
>>25694008"shhhh. come on, lets get you something to eat"begin CONSTANT VIGILANCE
>>25694046>hug her until she stops cryingseconded. Not so much for the rest of the post. Instead follow it up with >>25694066running hand through hair optional
>>25694076>>25694066>>25694065Guys, she's a really neato tool and an even cooler toy, but we're not going to get any better with her weighing us down. Not yet at least. Let's go out, grab a soul or three so we can get new powers, then maybe we can meet her for dinner. Don't let an pretty husk distract you from a hundred pretty husks.
>>25694096this is as much to check for feds
>>25694110aye, my current primary reason to be playing the honorable Casanova
>>25694096No weighing us down. If anything, I say we do our duty, get a backup growing in her in case of emergencies, and then skeedaddle for more power accumulation.
>>25694096A hundred pretty husks will keep you entertained for a while. One pretty husk will be unquestioningly willing to stab a motherfucker for you.
You run you hands through her hair, and maintain the embrace until she stops crying. You suggest the food again, she agrees, and you walk into the cafe, and sit down. You each order, the food arrives, and you begin eating.(This encounter should be wrapped up soon, which will be the stopping point for tonight's thread, since I'm pretty tired.)
The direction has been disappoint. I'd rather we keep the sentimentality to a minimum and focus on soul harvesting and the mission. We are losing sight of it.We must gain power.
Well, alright. I stand outvoted.>>25694131Let's keep an eye out in the cafe for anyone who could be an easy steal. We can go after them next thread.
>>25694132And then lose it because we didn't spend time developing connections with people that will defend us.
>>25694132she is a tool for power>>25694131keep tingling her emotions lightly throughout the whole thing. Mix trust, lust and a feeling of safety.
>>25694132think of her, as a throw-away extra life. Besides im still worried about police involvement.>>25694131\any sign of the feds?
>>25694146agreed. but be subtle about it.
>>25694152>>25694150No feds in sight, from your emotional read, you don't think she has led them here.Your meal progresses nicely, and it seems your conversation has worked wonders, the bond between you feels stronger than ever. Once she is done with her food, she looks up, and starts talking nervously. "Can I stay with you? I don't want to go back to my aunt's, I feel so alone, I feel empty without you."
>>25694132I feel you. I'm here to be a dickass manipulator. >>25694147We can definitely turn to her now. Not as a hitman, but she's a safe-house. She's stupid enamored. We can work on her more over time, but I think we're rushing her. A little over time, rather than constant surveillance. We can nudge her and mold her until she's unthinking if that's what we want, but we'll be better at it if we eat a few more people.
>>25694182Yes, yes, a thousand times ye- waitaminute. We need to find a better place to stay. Pronto.
>>25694182Excellent. Let's take her back to our place, breed her silly, then have her stay there while we go on our merry soul-collecting ways. She's our complete thrall now, and that bond will be good to draw power from, as well as to escape through should the need arise.
>>25694182Well damn, never mind."Not yet my dear, I've had to work with some unforgiving people. Soon, we can build ourselves a place. Just a few days, and we can find ourselves a sanctuary. We need to make sure things look normal for a while. You can come with me tonight, but I where I am now isn't suitable for the long term."We don't want to come back to our pad covered in blood with her there. I'm all for keeping her somewhere, but I want it separate from where we stay. What if we want to lure someone back to our place? Right now, Em would freak out! We should wait on bringing her in permanently.
>>25694222another room somewhere works temporarily. time to get back to cracking this party. is it open invitation?
You consider for a moment. "You can come with me for tonight, but the place I have isn't suitable for longterm stay. Additionally, I've had to work with some unforgiving people. After tonight, we will have to work something else out."She nods, you pay the bill, and you both walk back to the hotel, being careful to avoid busy streets where you might be spotted. She walks close to you, almost like she is bound by an invisible tether. You walk up her to your room, and you both decide to head to bed early tonight. You get in bed, and she curls up beside you. She falls asleep quickly, but you stay awake for a little while longer, considering your plans for her, Rook, and the party, before drifting off into sleep.
>>25694300That's it for tonight guys, I'm going to be heading to bed.The thread is archived here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25689509/And again, twitter is here:https://twitter.com/tgdemonquestI hope you all enjoyed the thread tonight, and if all goes well, I'll continue it tomorrow night, and post on twitter beforehand about the time. Also, if you guys can find any good art to represent Emily, feel free to send it to me on twitter, as I had trouble finding anything good.

>>25694336I can take a look for it.Also, I've been working for a while on a quest with a somewhat similar premise but a more medieval/fantasy-like setting. Not sure when I'll kick it off tho
>>25694439I'd love to see someone run a quest with the same brass tacks premise as Black Butler.: you play as a child who has promised his soul to a demon in exchange for avenging his parents' death.
