Adjutant A.I. Online. Mission briefing begins:

You were a ghost operative of the Terran Dominion, under Emperor Arcturus Mengsk. Your Codename is Delta Phoenix. You received a transmission from Korhal. "The Emperor is Dead. Long live the Emperor. "

It seems like a lifetime since the fall of Korhal disabled your neural inhibitor and you went rogue. With the help of a rogue Dominion Marine, Jacob Henderson, you and your small crew secured a Gorgon-Class battlecruiser you now call The Daluke. The Dominion, bounty hunters, and criminal scum alike are all after you with a massive 1.5 billion credit bounty on your head. But they're going to have to earn it, first.

You are currently aboard The Daluke in orbit over Muric. The Blackmoon Consortium has given you an offer to destroy a civilian base and make it look like an accident, and you can't resist the temptation.

Adjutant, is it possible to leave a few bunkers intact for the remaining 14% to take shelter?
>>
>>25825874
No. If we leave the bunkers they can rebuild. Which means we've failed.
>>
>>25825874
SCVs will report to their bunkers before they are willing to board our transports. If they begin base repairs, the other civilians will feel compelled to return to their posts.
>>
>>25825897
No choice but to sabotage the bunkers then. Sucks to be the 14%

You have Mia sent to your quarters. Despite her previous affiliations she still adheres to military protocol and stands at attention until you address her.

>"At ease, Rodriguez. I have a special operation I need you to help undertake."
>"Yessir."
>"I need to disable a sensor tower at a civilian mining operation. I need you for deployment and extraction. No one else can know about this."

She has a good poker face, but you can read her thoughts. Far clearer than you used to be able to, in fact. She's instantly worried about the fact that you're keeping things from your crew for the first time - to her knowledge, at least.

>"Yessir. Can I... ask why, sir?"
>"Do you need to know, Rodriguez?"
>"No sir. I don't."
>"Then suit up, report to the Banshee. We're going planetside."

You don't doubt that she won't pose a problem once she understands exactly what's going on and the necessity of it, and you assume her loyalty to you after saving her life is enough. You head to the Bridge.

>"XO, what is the current status of my transports?"
>"They've just landed, Commander. Shore leave duty."
>"I have a mission for them to undertake. Simple supply run, no escort needed. Have them sent to these coordinates."
>"Yessir."

You make for the Banshee. Hopefully your plan will go off without a hitch. You board the banshee and it disembarks from the Daluke, letting the planet's gravity pull it down.

You are about five miles out from the installation. Time to make a decision.

>Water landing, swim to the base.
>Air entry. Jump out and activate parachute as Mia flies over the installation.

You open one of the Banshee's side doors, the ocean rushes past below you at around 60 miles per hour. It's tropical, so at least you won't have to worry about being cold. You yell to Mia over your com, the deafening roar of the Banshee rotors so loud she can barely hear you over it.

>"Remain stealthed, do not fire on any targets, and make for the Extraction point!"
>"Yessir!"

You turn around and fall back, you always found it easier to fall if you couldn't see the ground, and hit the surface of the water. With your Cirus suit on you immediately start to sink, but between your psionics and training it's the easiest water landing you've had in a while. You stay below the waves, letting your rebreather siphon oxygen from the water, and your HUD navigate. Soon the ocean floor starts to rise up to meet you, and you unsling your C-20A rifle from your back. Your stealth activates and you crouch down low, slowly walking up from the beach to the Foliage.

The perimeter is protected by an electrified fence topped with razor wire and various signs saying that it's a very, very bad idea to trust the fence. You make for the main gate, a simple gate leading up to a large dock, with two observation towers. The single guard seems less than alert.

You can't just let an opportunity like this go to waste, you use your Psionics on the guard, who immediately pops a Nosebleed with an "Aww, shit, fuckin' again?"

In... retrospect, you're not actually sure you caused it. Either way, the man opens the gate and walks in. And so do you.

The first bunker is in sight. You'll need to make it look like an accident. You make sure no eyes are on you and pick up a nearby rock, and jam it in the door's rotor. That might've been a tad much, but it'll get the job done.

You continue throughout the base, using cover, reading minds to sense patrols, and stealthing through doors. Security is extremely light as you make your way from bunker to bunker and disable their doors. Finally, you make it to the sensor tower. There are two men talking up in the tower, watching for stray storms. You hug the wall and listen.

>"No, no, no. Listen. I'm telling you. Wrestling is real. Not a damn bit of actin'."
>"You fuckin' kiddin' me, Cleetus? It's faker'n shit! You saw that fight, Luchalisk and The Human Thor, right? Threw a punch - didn't connect - guy goes down anyway?"
>"He was just dodgin' it!"
>"Yeah, right!"

You'll have to disable it somehow...

Well, we can still just go with the "Lockdown Grenade" option.

I mean, how often do random civilians expect (and are able to recognize) freaking GHOST activity? (Seriously, is the first thing one's mind jumps too when something breaks "A Ghost did it!" ?) I figure it'll pass as mechanical failure.

>>25826924

We'd be risking it. The whole damn mission on this. Everything. If we fail this we're going to get run of the planet, you know that right?
>>
>>25826913
Kill them. Why is this even a question? We are a GHOST not a member of the Red Cross. We get in, do what we have to do, and get out. Why is killing two guys a problem, but killing 14% of the installation is fine? I didn't think /tg/ was so emotionally weak.
>>
>>25826940
Yeah, they're just gunna have to go.
>>
>>25826925

Well no -- we could just use the lockdown grenade.

Our options for distracting them or psionically tricking them are limited.

But the simple, basic option of "Just freaking sabotage it with a lockdown grenade, they won't find out its a Ghost" is still there.

How suspicious are these guys anyway?

>>25826940
No, because if they start suspecting, then we will READ THEIR MINDS and NOTICE that. THEN we can decide to kill them.

FURTHERMORE, we aren't going to get automatically run off the planet.

Because we have to be TRULY found out -- people have to link "random sabotage" with "This particular person did it" and all the way to "This guy is from the Daluke."
>>
>>25826949
They apparently are.

If we get caught we're fucking done. Period. Yet we're willing to risk a god damn mission over two jack offs.

By civilians??

Look, think through this logically --

We use the lockdown grenade.

They do NOT blame a mechanical failure.

We immediately read their minds.

We can immediately take action to kill them.

Even if they suspect sabotage, we STILL managed to get here stealthily -- NOBODY KNOWS WE ARE HERE.

Nobody knows who we are either!

In order for us to get blamed and run out of town, people have to KNOW that its US.

What're they going to radio in -- "Oh, sensor tower went down"?

Or is it going to be "It was the BMC ghost, in the base, with the lockdown grenade, and she was from the Daluke Battlecruiser."

There is a HUGE difference between "Catching on to the fact that something just happened" and "We get fucking run off the planet at the slightest failure."

RADIOS HOW DO THEY WORK?

"Hey we got some shit happening over here boss. Shit just stopped workin for no reason. No I don't think it's mechanical. Somethin ain't right."

THAT'S ALL IT WOULD TAKE.
>>
>>25827069
Don't shoot em. Make it stealthy.
>>
>>25827081

Yes. They would radio that something happened.

Of course, they'd have to be faster than us reading their mind and deciding to put a bullet in their head.

Also, as I have been pointing out, them radioing something in would NOT immediately result in people figuring out that there's a Ghost around, that it's hired by the BMC, that it's Delta Phoenix, and that she's from the Daluke.

Plus, have people considered that TWO DEAD BODIES might ALSO raise the alarm?

Somebody goes to check on the guys in the sensor tower, and finds 2 dead people -- THEN, the radio is "Oh shit, 2 people died!" rather than "Bugger, we got a mechanical failure here!"

Which do you think is more alarming??

"Fuck, Sensor Tower broke down."

or

"Oh shit, our sensor tower is down and TWO GUYS ARE DEAD!"
>>
>>25827127
We're going to hide the bodies. After a hurricane considering this is A TIME WHEN WE CAN GO INTO SPACE they're going to find the bodies.

Bullets in the god damn brain don't equal dying to a hurricane.
>>
>>25827127
Hidden bodies.
>>
>>25827158
>>25827162

Two people go to check on the guys in the sensor tower. They find the guys missing and the sensor tower is broken. They'll radio that in.

Alternatively -- people first notice that their sensor tower just broke. So they radio their guys in the tower. If they were still alive, they might answer "Yeah, don't know what happened, shit's broken" -- if they were suspicious, they'd go "It's broken, maybe sabotage."

If they are NOT alive? Then when people check on the guys in the sensor tower, then they get NOTHING. And if they send somebody to check on them, they'll notice the missing people.

And that's a LOT more suspicious than "Shit, mechanical failure" or "Shit, its broken, and I don't think its mechanical failure maybe?"
>>
>>25827225
You do know that after we break the sensor shit is bout to hit the fan right? Then we're fuckin outta here?
>>
>Consensus Achieved.

You enter the room, stealthed. You instantly break the first civilian's neck and he goes limp on the floor. The other jumps up from his chair, startled by the loud noise and his friend going limp. He backs up against the wall, screaming like a little girl.

>"Aaaaah! AAAAH! Cleetus! Cleetus, you dead?!"

At this point he notices you quickly advancing on him, the shimmer of your light enough to give it away. You cut off his screams, your real hand grabs his throat and he gags. You lift him a foot off the ground and hold him. You watch the life slowly fade from his eyes, then drop him to the ground. You turn and move to the sensor controls. You enable the distress beacon first, then disable the sensor. You move the bodies to a nearby supply closet, then hack it sealed.

>"This is Delta Phoenix. The Sensors are offline."

You look down at supply closet for a moment.

>"Continue operations."

Your escape is uneventful. The gate fortunately opens for a shipment of equipment being loaded onto the island. Your plan hadn't accounted for additional civilians, but there don't appear to be many. You head for the mountain at the end of the island, where Mia's stationed. The only way you find the Banshee is by your HUD's IFF sensor. You quickly board and fly overhead. The calm, blue skies of this tropical paradise have already turned to grey. Lightning and thunder begins to roll as your Banshee makes an exit.

>"Do what you needed to, Sir?"
>"I always do, Rodriguez."
You look down at the base as it shrinks into the distance.
>"I always do..."

Moments pass before you hear radio chatter over your headset.

>"This is Dropship-1, I'm reading your distress signal, do you need help?"
>"We've got a hurricane comin'! Our bunkers are broke - all of 'em! We need help! We've got 40 people!"
>"Roger, we're on our way..."

Minutes later, you return to the bridge with Mia, who doesn't say anything. Your XO turns to face you.

>>
>>25827225
Or maybe they assume the suddenly missing guards were corporate spies who sabotaged the sensors then ditched?

There's tons of ways it can go but the chance the bodies are found after the hurricane are pretty low. If we kill them in CQC, which we should, it doesn't even matter if they're found later.

Don't think he gives a shit as long as we look out for the interests of the crew. Which we were doing. Assuming he knows.
>>
>>25827367
It's not exactly a hard leap of logic to make. We go out for some reason with Mia, have him make transports go somewhere, and then a hurricane erupts out of nowhere leaving a plot of land for us.

He's not an idiot, he knows what we did.
>>
>>25827335
You were speaking to your Adjutant, who relayed the message to the BMC, for clarification.
>>
>>25827402
Of course he knows. He's our XO for a reason.

We did it to help our crew. (And ourselves. We are part of the crew.)

It was worth it as long as we don't get caught for it. (Then it isn't worth it. Not worth it at all.)

Tell XO "Crazy weather we're having today."
Say nothing more.
>>
>>25827335
>>25827367
>>25827402

Well... He could be assuming that the job was to stage a disaster, and then be on hand to rescue people... Which is less bad then just straight-up causing sabotage to kill people.
>>
>>25827291
>"Sir, something came up while you were in Radio silence. Our men at the contact point received a distress signal after your supplier failed to show."

You ask, hoping to keep up appearances,
>"What kind of distress signal?"
>"There was a freak storm hitting a mining base, they had no evac in time except for us. I gave the go ahead to get Civilians out."

The XO pauses for a moment, best deciding how to word the next bit. You sense his apprehension. It isn't good.

>"We saved 14, sir. They lost 48 civilians. The storm took out a vespene refinery and, well...We're still being hailed as heros, though, sir. That's 14 men that wouldn't have made it. Otherwise."

You can feel Mia glance at the back of your head. You don't much care for it. She doesn't know what you've gained yet, you'll need to explain it to her before she gets upset.

>"Good work, XO. Tell the dropship pilots they did what they could. Carry on, I need to finish Debriefing Rodriguez."

She follows you in silence, her opinion going between two extremes, afraid you've been a murderer this time, but loyal to the idea that you had your reasons. You both enter your quarters, and you stand behind your captain's desk. She stands opposite, rather still.

>"The Blackmoon Consortium will be purchasing the base now, as everyone else will believe it's prone to freak accidents. They will then give us the land for a base, as a reward for eliminating the competition."

Mia's jaw slowly, progressively, drops.

>"That's some real Ghost shit, there. Sir. I knew there was a good reason."
>"That'll be all then, Rodriguez. Dismissed."
>"Thank you, sir."

She offers a salute and takes off. You sit down in your chair, awaiting confirmation from the BMC.
>>
>>25827481
...I can't tell if she approves or not
Also, only 14? I thought we had enough room for 80% of the island?

>>25827529
We did but apparently couldn't get to them all.
If we wouldn't have set a distress beacon at all they all would have died.
>>
>>25827481

If I may have your attention, Dark Phoenix. The BMC has confirmed the transaction. The base is currently registered to them but they have granted us full access to do with it as we desire.

>>25827887
2 missile turrets for the island should do it right? One in opposite corners?
>>
>>25827885
Base Beta is located in a major civilian center. Defenses are redudant as Murican government forces will protect it.

Holding a static location against the Murican government on Murican soil is not advised.
>>
>>25827859

Er, how much violence or crime or sabotage is there on this planet?

Let's first figure out *how likely we are to come under attack* before we decide to pull defenses everywhere.

I mean, I think this place we just sabotaged, had NO real defenses at all didn't it? It just had fences.

In fact... wouldn't putting bunkers and turrets on the island actually make people MORE worried and pay more attention to whats going on over there?

I think people might be looking at this too much like a usual StarCraft base-building game... When actually we're on a (I assume relatively peaceful) planet.

We are not going to get attacked by Zerg or Protoss on land. Not usually, anyway.
>>
>>25827900
I like this plan.
>>
>>25827912
And if they do decide to attack, our defenses aren't going to be worth jack squat. So it is more efficient to just load up on supply depots.
>>
>>25827912
Murican Crime is at Fringe World standard. The majority of civilians own Firearms.

It is highly unlikely that the supply depots will come under attack from any force that static defenses would be able to fend off.
>>
>>25827911
>Base Beta is located in a major civilian center. Defenses are redudant as Murican government forces will protect it.

>Holding a static location against the Murican government on Murican soil is not advised.

Yeah, this, guys.

Keep in mind just WHERE we are, and where we're building -- were on a planet, not on some fringe area, not in some mission where we might be attacked by Zerg or Protoss...

So please, let's NOT build weapon emplacements in the equivalent of the USA homeland!

I don't think we'll need more defenses then this base had before the hurricane.

Really, we don't want to spook the natives or anything.
>>
>>25827940
Gotcha.

So 2 missile turrets for the island?

That leaves us with 4 building units out of 6. I say we build a barracks and find out what else we can put there.

4 supply depots in the city.
>>
>>25827912
Personal note: If Delta Phoenix was focused on typical Base-Building strategies, she would have twice the current economy and not be almost twice her supply cap.
>>
>>25827912
Its our military compound. Even if nothing's likely to happen, it's our alpha base, our primary land presence. It would be stupid not to guard military hardware.

>>25828019
We can build that in some other place. For now, lets load up on depots and start making some money and morale.
>>

Adjutant, how likely are we to NEED defenses?

And what sort of defenses can we put up without it being... well, awkward or suspicious or alarming to the natives?
>>

Leaving Automated Defense Weapons in Population Centers is against Muric city ordinance 7-7-10.

We do not currently have technology to hide weapon emplacements.

When i play Terran I build barrack, factory, then star port. MMM - Marine Marauder Medivac. So i guess we can build HENDERSON his goliath, Lift the factory. Drop our barrack from orbit, and build a tech lab attachment.

You gotta identify the words that lead to percentages. Possible means its probably 30-50% likely that they will find out and be upset. Friendly relations probably means that the DC is lowered from that. While there is a chance the government might give us a stinkeye over it... they might also turn the other cheek if they do find out.

>1 Recruitment Option: General Population (Low Skill, Medium Loyalty, High numbers.)

Your ground team, including yourself and your most veteran marines, land at Nuyark Square, one of the denser civilian areas. The first off the dropship is Henderson in his full Regalia. He steps out, accompanied by you and your fellow squadmates. Henderson heads out to a statue in the middle of the square and climbs up on it's pedestal. He then activates his inbuild CMC speaker system and starts... recruiting, you guess.

>"Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and girls of all ages! Allow me to introduce myself. I am the brave, mighty, handsome Corporal Henderson and I am here today to offer you the opportunity... of a lifetime."

He pauses, slowing moving out his hands as if to imply the value of such a deal. Several civilians have stopped to listen.

>"Now you may be asking yourself, what sort of snake oil, magic-bean hogwash am I going to have to hear today? My friends, none. I am here today to tell you a sad, sad Tale. The Tale... Of Dominion cruelty and oppression. Why, my friends, I dare say to you that once upon a weary story I was a soldier of the Dominion! But! That was some time ago and I saw the eeeee-vil of my ways."

Henderson paces back and forth on the statue, hands held behind his back, as he addresses the growing crowd.

>"For you see, I was fortunate enough to escape when Korhal burned to ashes. Free to do right. Free to do justice. Free to do -LIBERTY!-"

He faces the audience, placing his right hand over his heart. The crowd eats it up, cheering for Henderson's hamboned speech.

>"But, my friends, this is where our Tale takes a dark, dark path. For you see the galaxy was not completely free that day. Darkness still lives - oh yes it does -and it will come for you! It will come for your families, your loved ones, your little doggies and kitties and sunshine and rainbows and it will stamp all of that into the dust!"

He stamps his foot, the crowd collectively gasps.

Unless you free the oppressed! A very wise man once said if there is injustice anywhere there is injustice everywhere and my friends let me tell you - with the injustice of the Dominion there can be no freedom."
>"Uh-huh!"
>"That's right!"
>"So stand up, my brothers and sisters! Stand up! Board our dropship! We will give you training! We will give you weapons! You will sail into the heart of Dominion territory itself in the mightiest ship that has ever graced this universe- a Gorgon Class Battlecruiser!"

The crowd bursts into cheers, you hear disgruntled sighs from the remainder of the squad. Several of them step forward, while Private Jenkins quietly whispers to you.
>"Time to clean up that mess..."

You wait at the ramp of the Hercules, as Civilians are loaded past. You scan memories and surface spots, trying to net a spy, but don't come across any.

Despite the efforts of the speech, you recruit 10 men and 3 women out of the crowd, refusing a few out of health or age concerns. Better luck tomorrow.

I guess just keep doin what we've been doin? Building?

Do we have anyone training the civvies? Cuz we need someone to get on that.
>>
>>25829602
The barracks is not landed, therefore unable to train marines.

Crew assignments to The Daluke will be made from remaining civilians at next jump.

((Don't want to start off next thread with base building, but you guys need more time. This is going to take a while though. If everyone just wants to bail and have me do some dice rolls for base building for next time, we'll do that. How about we vote on # of days you stay here?))
>>
>>25829602
we have our own military personnel. Henderson and that one guy who really doesn't want to face the Zerg. The mercs we picked up could also lend a hand.

Maybe even the XO could give tips on how to run a ship.
>>
>>25829626
I'm cool with hanging around for base decisions and voting for number of days, OP
>>
>>25829626
A fortnight then we're gone
>>
>>25829626
I'd say we should stay about a three more days to get things ready.
>>
>>25829626
stay here 5ever
>>
>>25829626

I'm good with the base building.
>>
>>25829649

Hell no, we need far more time than that.
>>
>>25829626
Two weeks tops. We need to be ready before we leave.

Two weeks is plenty of time to get a good stock of supplies and enough time to get enough people.

Estimations on how long our three goliaths are going to take to build? Cuz then we wanna switch in that sick ass baracks.
>>
>>25829649
We need SO much longer than three days dude.
>>
>>25829626
A month at the most. A fortnight at the least.
>>
>>25829665
I vote we stay 5-7 days.

Give us time to mine out and build weapons for our crew. Also finish repairing our ship.
>>
>>25829626
we need to remember to get you a mobile boy while we are here
>>
>>25829665
1 Goliath per day if resources allow.
>>
>>25829675
We need to train the crew before we leave. We need to put down the barracks. We honestly don't know how long it's going to take.

We certainly aren't leaving till we're ready.
>>
>>25829665

Hmmm, you know, I'd think I'd like 5 instead of 3 Goliaths.
>>
>>25829679
I say we only need 2 Goliath at most. Wouldn't mind an Engineering bay if...

Hey Adjutant, can we get upgrades for our crew from the Engineering bay or do we not have them yet?
>>
>>25829687
Then we can get 5. That would take us 5 days. Then we can set up the barracks and train the civvies that we need.
>>
>>25829679
I vote thus.

Enough Goliath's for Henderson and 3 other pilots.

4 more firebats
4 more medics

However many days it takes for that is what we should stay for.
>>
Also, can we switch to selling our excess resources now?

We can never have too much money.
>>
>>25829689

Oh please, we can never have too many Goliaths.

5 sounds like a good number.
>>
>>25829700
Nope, The Daluk needs more repairs soon and we want units and upgrades as well.
>>
>>25829697
Redaeth we could use more marines. We need to train people for guns and the bridge. We need more time son.
>>
>>25829697
we are going to get more people before we leave
>>
>>25829697
We may need to train up more ship personnel to man stations and keep the thing maintained
>>
>>25829708
But I want to finish repairing all of The Daluk first.
>>
>>25829720
if we can I want us to have at least 500 to 1,000 people before we leave
>>
>>25829707

I should've been clearer, I meant supplies.
>>
>>25829709
>>25829720
we can still train crew for after we leave. This training is just so we aren't overwhelmed if we hit a world we need to clear out the zerg or dominion to mine first..
>>
>>25829736
Well, we could get a small force, then train the rest on that jungle planet that DT is on.
>>
>>25829728
So 1000000 supply depots?

We honestly probably need access to orbital supply stations before we can support that.
>>
Okay guys.

5 Goliath. 1 for henderson and 4 pilots so we actually have a squad of them.

Switch out for barracks.

Train at least 5 more medics so we have 6 total for combat.

Train more marines. I don't care how many. 20?

Train at least 8 more firebats. 10 is a good number.

Train crew for weapons and bridge.

Continue to recruit during this time.

Keep stockpiling goods for now.

Repair the ship the rest of the way.
>>
>>25829728
thats a stretch considering how we only got like 13 people here

We need to make ourselves more infamous if we want to start raking in more recruits
>>
>>25829736

Nothing is forcing us to go out a limited number of time, there is no reason to go before we have our crew trained.
>>
>>25829748
I'll second this, as well as add

- Continue DP's psionic training if we can
>>
>>25829760
the longer we stay the more likely a dominion scout is going to spot a badly damaged supercruiser and say hey isn't that that owned by that rogue ghost?
>>
>>25829748
Don't forget training crewmen for the ship other than that I completely agree. Also specialists, scientists, engineers that sort of stuff.
>>
>>25829765
Add this to
>>25829748
This and we're golden. We'll have the crew we need for the ship, for a planet, for any potential boarders.

Maybe we should put flamer turrets into The Daluke to defend against boarders.
>>
>>25829747
we were told that as the ship got repaired it's supply would go up and seeing how it is meant to have a crew of 8,000 I think it can handle it
>>
Don't we need a starport to completely repair The Daluke? Since our superstructure is damaged.
>>
>>25829777

We can stay a fortnight at least, the Dominion isn't going to find us that quickly.

Most importantly, we need the resources available here.
>>
>>25829777
We're going to be fixing it while we're here. It's not going to be badly damage. This world's government does not, and I mean does NOT like dominion at all. They are not going to fuck with this planet so close to it's independence day. The planet would LITERALLY fight on our side.

Guys we do NOT need to leave till we're ready. Do NOT let someone talk you into it.
>>
>>25829689
We have an engineer bay. We can research +1/+1 without an armory.

>>25829697
2 days for goliaths, 4 days for medics and firebats.

My 1/day goliath estimate was wrong, it's 2/day

>>25829747
You need to repair the Daluke to full so that it auto-supports all crew members (civilians.)

Can't do that yet though.
>>
>>25829796
No we don't. We're fine. Our superstructure is getting repaired along with the rest of the ship.

((correct me if I'm wrong please.))
>>
>>25829734

Supporting, we have plently of morale at this point, and the whole point of the supply depot spam is to get dosh.
>>
>>25829796
I don't think our superstructure main frame is damaged just parts of the hull is missing a big chunk of steel

Nothing an scv patchwork wouldn't fix
>>
>>25829748
this sounds good and maybe we should see if we can hire on any wraith pilots to give us more punch in space
>>
>>25829796
You have a nomad. Don't need a starport.
>>
>>25829817
That's a fantastic idea.

Also put up fliers for engineers and technicians to join us. POSTERS PEOPLE. ADD CAMPAIGNS.
>>
>>25829808
I see...then I would vote that we do upgrades before we leave, too if we can.
>>
>>25829817
All wraiths are owned by Murica. The pilots might defect, the hardware won't.
>>
>>25829800
this 1,000 times this we need to be ready before we leave
>>
>>25829808
How long until full repair?
>>
>>25829822
best investment ever.

Alright I say we stay until The Daluke is fully repaired.
>>
>>25829834
Sure. Upgrades are only effective when you have positive supply, though.

And yes, it will be a problem in the future.
>>
>>25829837

Er, can we sell our excess supplies now?

We have plenty of money.
>>
>>25829839
I'd have to check. Not very long though, 1-2 components to go. I'd say 1 day's worth of repairs using the nomad, probably less.
>>
>>25829748
As for general base building this sounds good, along with getting that upgrade.
>>
>>25829851
Positive supply?
May I ask why this is so?
>>
>>25829822
Putting up added list
5 Goliath. 1 for henderson and 4 pilots so we actually have a squad of them.

Switch out for barracks.

Train at least 5 more medics so we have 6 total for combat.

Train more marines. I don't care how many. 20?

Repair the ship the rest of the way.

Continue Psi Training.

Try to hire or recruit Wraith Pilots.

Put up fliers to try and recruit skilled people.

Give more ideas to help us out.

((Thoughts Adjutant?))
>>
>>25829857
That was the idea.

Also, side note, seriously missing more captchas then I get.
>>
>>25829867
I FORGOT TO PUT FLAME TURRETS.

>>
>>25829857
>We have plenty of money.

>>25829865

>>
>>25829837
do they have any hardware we could buy
>>
>>25829867
We should sell supplies at that urban world with the riots

Supply prices would maybe even triple and we can recruit people who wants to get off that god forsaken planet especially engineers and scientists
>>
>>25829873
You have missle-turret sized turret technology, not installation-sized-hidden-turret technology.

Nope.
>>
>>25829877
Huh...fair enough I suppose. I'm more concerned about +1 armor though, honestly.
>>
>>25829882
Actually yeah that's a damn fine idea. KEEP STOCKPILING. WE CAN SELL ELSEWHERE.
>>
>>25829880
that reminds me, can we buy schematics from them? I'm interested in complete wraith schematics and some reaper schematics, too.
>>
>>25829880
I'll think about it, but some stuff's gonna happen so I have to make sure it's balanced.

>>25829882

>>
>>25829885
I suppose that one doesn't make sense.

+1 weapons require supply then, armor doesn't.
>>
>>25829882

Excellent idea.

I admit I had completely forgot about Kilaro.
>>
>>25829895
so can we call it good for
>>25829867
this?

It's basically what we wanna do.

Save the stockpiled stuff though. We can sell it for higher profit elsewhere.
>>
>>25829903
Yay!
>>
>>25829894
Starport tech is like 20 years out for you guys, air units are broken so schematics are a bitch to find.

Reaper schematics already got offered, but Reaper lore sounds like something MURICA wouldn't use.
>>
>>25829903
Fixing list again.

Sell excess at Kilaro

Repair the ship the rest of the way.

Continue Psi Training.

Try to hire or recruit Wraith Pilots.

Put up fliers to try and recruit skilled people.

See if we can purchase any schematics or other useful objects on this planet.

Give more ideas to help us out.
>>
>>25829895
I think we're just so excited to not be fighting for our lives, we're just blowing our load all over the world.
>>
>>25829920
Aren't Reaper's constantly injected with drugs to ensure they're speedy?
>>
>>25829926
Make sure to set up more supply depots and have them turn a profit for us on the planet while we're away.
>>
>>25829933
sure I can support that.
>>
>>25829933

Could we leave one of our smaller ships with it to sell the supplies to the riot world?
>>
>>25829932
And mean.

>>25829927
It's true, you're gonna run into other stuff as you warp around, so be ready.

Just saying, plan ahead. You guys always take the easy payoff bait option when I offer it.
>>
>>25829944
Hercules and Valkyrie have jump drives. You could send it + escort.

Might lose both, might become rich, who knows!?
>>
>>25829944
I dunno...all the ships we have are useful.

>>25829948
We're trying to turn away from that...we needed the land here though.
>>
>>25829932
Reapers are produced when they are just so bad that the usual treatments wont work. So they get sent to an Ice House for 'training'.
>>
>>25829944
Risk of piracy is high. We could have them stockpile it till we get back, take it to the world, sell it ourselves, come back pay em, get mad dosh.
>>
>>25829948
Easy pay off is...well, easy. Not risky. In the past...well you know the whole 'We are the worst ghost ever' joke.
>>
>>25829966
something tells me this delivery trip is going to be like hell. Someone is going to try and fuck us, probably someone planetside.
>>
>>25829977
Probably. That's why we're leaving well armed.
>>
>>25829977
Which delivery mission?
>>
>>25829960
Come to think of it how ARE we gonna produce reapers anyway? Shit is a bigger death sentence then being a marine not to mention the treatments they have to undergo. It seems like recruitment would be a nightmare. On that regard I have an idea how about we go around to the fringe worlds and pick up prisoners/criminals for 'processing'. It would ensure a steady supply of fresh fodder hopefully.

We wanted to go there. If shit happens we're making sure we're prepared now.
>>
>>25830016
The DT actually might know a thing or two about Psi energy, but I doubt he'd train us. Most Protoss seem like they see Terran psychics as dangerous children at best.
>>

Kilaro was meant as a mission before we got the Daluke, it should be safe enough.

I hope.
>>
>>25830018

But I'm just saying...let's make sure we're as ready as we can be.

>>25830504
I have several in mind. Sparing you the details of how you find them so you don't go "KNOW WHAT I FEEL LIKE GOIN' HERE TODAY NO REASON GUYS" I have some concepts:

Zaeed. But as a ghost.
Heavy Metal ghost.
Almost literally a robot and scares the crap out of you ghost.
Steve-Irwin-But-With-Zerg Ghost.

It's a way out so I'm working with concepts, but yeah.
>>
>>25830538
That's why we disagree then, I suppose.

I'd rather us be slightly good. Not SUPREMELY good, or anything...but in the good spectrum.

I was originally going to have him be "Chinese House" with a limp and everything but he didn't get enough screen time for that to go through.

>>
>>25830851
About that...
I don't think we need to pick up hero units from the game itself

Hell, we can make a few of our own, since the Odin is sorta a hero Thor anyway.
Just strap bigger cannons to it.

Also just curious how do you decide big battles? Just %s, or do you use game stats at all?
>>
>>25830865
You have a battle cruiser named after a hero SCV.

rip in pieces daluke ;_;

>>
>>25830867
I take game strats in account to come up with completely random %'s. Sometimes I'll fudge them, but if I post a % it is always canon DC.

As people come up with ideas, I come up with additional 'save scenarios'. One thing might not work out with a shitty roll, but I reroll the other option in and see what we get.
>>
>>25830869
In honor of him, should we attach a giant fusion torch to the battle cruiser? With a bayonet?
>>
>>25830878
It's still a few days out, no worries.
>>
>>25830880
I see. Well that's reasonable enough

Was just worried that the %s might one day just flip their shit and decide that that last marine standing actually performs hero maneuvers of his own and kills our Thor

Such is the roll of the dice. But it gives it that Xcom factor.

Some day Hero-Thor Henderson might roll a 1 vs that SCV.

Did we kill a full Brood Mother back on the ship, by the way? Or was she a lower level thing?

Not to make it seem less epic, but it felt...too easy, if that makes sense.
>>
>>25831064
Regular 150 minerals out of a hatchery queen.

Original plan was for it to be a straight up Brood-queen who had taken over the Hydron as a lair, which is what she 'would've evolved into' now. :C
>>
>>25831029
I doubt Kerrigan got ALL of her brood back.

The majority, sure

But the Zerg are like roaches. Anywhere they set up home, they spread like a plague, and never fucking leave.

My bet is there are a few Brood mothers out there doing their own thing. Not nearly as strong as Kerrigan, or even Niadra, but good enough to make for an epic boss 3-5 threads from now.
>>
So, will we have the opportunity for Spectre training later on?

What would've happened if we went back to the Dominion?
>>
>>25831078
Especially with the Dominion being under new management.
>>
>>25831075
Knew it. People called her a Brood mother and I was like "...no way."

Heh, if she WAS a Broodmother, not only would stealthing it have failed horribly, due to psionic sense, but shooting her would probably have just made her shit out 15 banelings.

and then we die.
>>
>>25831078
Yes and you will start to see fucking crazy shit.

You would've been given cruel as fuck orders, and a more Normandy-style ship and ME2 campaign until you finally went rogue or the Dominion had you killed.
>>
>>25831092
To expand, most 'Dominion' is going to continue how it was, and Valarian doesn't exactly issue your orders. Probably doesn't know you exist, he's big-time compared to you.
>>
>>25831092
By the way Adjy, is the Dominion divided somehow? Because Valarian seemed like a pretty cool dude. Doesn't seem like he'd keep up his pop's fucked up policies.
>>
>>25831108
Possibly a civil war. Possibly complete control, cuz Valarian found Kerrigan and stuff, possibly the punk died because Kerrigan is like "lol I'm free"
"jk rapin korhal's butt."

I don't know for sure, so it's very unlikely to be mentioned in this campaign.

There will be Dominion rebels within the system, regardless, so it doesn't effect the outcome much any which way it goes, by design.
>>
Just wondering, how does Umojan tech compare to the Dominion, like the CMCs?
>>
>>25831115
I figured. Probably better not to worry about it anyway...DP probably has her own grudge against the Dominion anyway. No need for them to be evil.

Not sure, mechanically, but it'll be your expensive 'endgame' marine super armor.
>>
>>25831143
Also OP, for the record, Siege Tanks are my favorite Terran unit, and I want them as soon as possible.
>>
>>25831159
I'm a fan of artillery. You'll get your tanks, don't worry.
>>
Speaking of tanks, is it possible to aquiresome of those sweet Diamondbacks?

It shall rain fire
>>
>>25831185
Diamondback prototypes only existed on Tarsonis and any random-ass planet Raynor went to after that.
I never used them and thought they were ugly, so nope!
>>
>>25831187
What if we attach siege tank turrets to the bottom of the battle cruiser?
>>
>>25831187

Our shells shall blot out the sun.
>>
>>25831191
Just as well, Diamond backs suck anyway. Firing on the move? Cool, I guess. Unless you have one marauder.
>>
I think we should get good fast attacking force, that gets shit done fast.

>several dropships land and unload their cargo
>dozens of Marines with Firebats,Medics and Mauraders
>Goliaths and Vultures to provide support, possibly few Siege Tanks
>Banshees and Wraiths give CAS and CAP
>after the mission is done, gather your shit together and get hell out of dodge
>>
>>25831225
Speaking of dropships, medivacs?
>>
Are you planning to have us go against protoss anytime soon OP?

I hope not, fluff Protoss are stupidly broken, as in 'I have this one Zealot take on an Ultralisk and have a reasonable chance of winning' broken.
>>
>>25831238
Not any time soon, I know that you'd be reasonably fucked against anything except, like, protoss civilians.
>>
>>25831233
You'll get both eventually.
>>
>>25831247
>protoss civilians.
Protoss warcrimes?
>>
>>25831247
Could we get protoss allies/mercs? It would be awesome to have some DT's to assist us in stealth missions or have henerson ride on top of an immortal because awesome thats why.
>>
>>25831233
Of course Medievacs
If anyone remembers the Brood Wars second/third Zerg Mission were Raynor destroyed some shit in the beginning, that kind of stuff I would like to see.
>>
>>25831265
It's possible.
Some of your abilities will require protoss training, actually.
>>
>>25831265
Is it bad I think Immortals are one of the coolest units in the games?
>>
>>25831265
Oh god, imagine DP with psiblades.
>>
>>25831292
Welcome comrad. Join us in the Immortals are awesome clubroom.
>>
>>25831247
Let's not forget when a group of High Templar murdered a fucking battlecruiser.

Do not fuck with the Protoss.
>>
>>25831312
How killy would Immortals be in this campaign anyway?
>>
>>25831292
They ARE epic, and, if we can study it, I would LOVE to add hardened armor to a Thor Hero unit

As in, armor that does what the Immortal's shields do

Probably won't happen...but a man can dream
>>
>>25831290
May I ask, when do you sleep as it has been nearly 12 hours since you started part 8 of our glorious adventure. I actually put my alarm glock to wake me up at 20.00 4chan time and that is 3 am in Finland to participate in this quest.
>>
>>25831330
Imagine if we managed to recruit one.

I can imagine him as the greatest bro ever.
>>
>>25831324
Dead killy

>>25831330
Shields and armor are different things, but you gotta research defensive matrix somewhere right?

>>25831337
I'm a robot I don't sleep.
>>
>>25831359
Defensive Matrix...isn't that the auto repair thing?

It is pretty cool...still would like a super cool armor upgrade though.
>>
>>25831385
No it's the 50% of all incoming damage is reduced terran thing.
>>
>>25831385
No, it is the shield ability from the science vessel in SC1 and an ability for BCs in SC2 campaign.
>>
next thread same time as usual?
>>
>>25831359
So how would all of us combined do against a single zealot?

Also, what would Colossi and Motherships be like here?
>>
>>25831392
Whoa... I do not remember that. That is epic
>>
>>25831409
Colossi Are illegal by protoss law when not in war with the zerg. Protoss civilians believe their Ai might turn against them and start killing stuff.
>>
>>25831417
Science vessel bro, look it up.

>>25831407
Yeah

>>25831409
He'd kill some marines for sure, before Henderson challenged him to a game of Horseshoes and brutally murdered him.
>>
>>25831436
YEAH TELL THAT TO MY OPPONENT EVERY TIME I GO BIO VS PROTOSS.
>>
>>25831444
the religious extremist dissidents of the tal'darim ignore these laws just like most other protoss laws.
>>
>>25831444
>>25831437
Heh, since you're such a fan of Brood War days, does that mean that Vultures don't suck now?

Also...fuck Colossi. Fuck them right in their nonexistant assholes
>>
>>25831489
>Vultures
>Ever sucking

What are you, bad?
>>
>>25831497
Widow Mines are better.
>>
>>25831497
Well to be fair, do we have spider-mines yet?
>>
>>25831437

And what kind of combat ability would the Colossi and Motherships have?
>>
>>25831512
Not gonna lie, Widow mines got me to Platinum this season. Fuckers are stupid.

>>25831513
Not yet, no.

>>25831522
A Colossus is to your current force what a child with a magnifying glass is to an ant.

A Mothership is what a professional exterminator is to a colony of ants.
>>
>>25831534
But vultures without mines DO suck.
And widow-mines are fine. It's not like they're hellbats.
>>
>>25831497
Spider-mines are god-tier.

And on a completely unrelated topic, who's going to see Pacific Rim?
>>
>>25831552
I am when it is out here is australia
>>
>>25831550
Dude are you high?

Fucking early game vultures with frag grenades using scoot and shoot tactics allow you to have the heaviest harass and mobility midgame in brood wars. That +damage to light on frag grenades with 12 of them going off at once is gg.
>>
>>25831564
You know, I can't help but wonder how many anons that are playing this even know what Starcraft is
>>
>>25831579
warcraft in space imo.
>>
>>25831579
I own Starcraft/Broodwar and Starcraft 2 but my laptop does not like it when I play 2
>>
>>25831564
as someone who played these games for the story and never touched multiplayer, all these strategies are going right over my head
>>
>>25831564
Yeah, but we're in post-SC2 world. Why wouldn't you get hellions instead (except against Protoss but we're not fighting protoss).
>>
>>25831591
Haven't played as much Brood War as SC2 but...

Do Dark Archons exist in this world?
>>
>>25831616
Mechanically, in SC2, any 2 templar (dark/high) just make a regular archon. Dark archons don't exist at any point in sc2, might just be mechanical reasons though.

Let me check.

>>25831614
Blue flame and transfer servos vs spider mines, I would take spider mines.

But you throw in Widowmines? Fuck bro, I gotta take hellions.

It's all about the reaper/hellion harrass anyway.

Deny and expand, win games.
>>
>>25831610
>for the story
>SCII

Seriously?
>>
>>25831641
yep, the kind of rock-paper-scissors-battle cruiser RTS that blizzard makes dont interest me gameplay wise
>>
>>25831637
Well I was thinking hellions vs non-SM vultures, with mines vultures are fine of course.
>>
>>25831641
Really not worse than most video games.

Hasn't gone as far downhill as other Blizzard games.

I mean, look at Diablo 3.

C'mon.

Cmmmmmmoooonnnn.
>>
>>25831637
Sooooo.

What kind of agonising rape can an Archon hand out?
>>
>>25831652
Adjutant you sexy sexy robot, go to sleep already
>>
>>25831641
As someone who also only played SC2 for the story, the closest I ever got to muliplayer was accidentally getting into a match when all I wanted to see was the Warhound April fools joke.

I can't bro too much hype. And I gotta figure out about Dark Archons.

I forgot about half of these brood war missions. I really need to play SC1/BW campaigns again.

>>25831659
Delta Phoenix possesses EMPs so actually an Archon would be kinda shitty against you.
>>
>Zamara identified Ulrezaj as the only existing dark archon years after the Brood War.

So we don't have to worry about that any.
>>
>>25831652
I wanted to see Raynor killing the fuck out of Kerrigan the way he promised in the end of Brood Wars. Instead I got some star-crossed lovers shit, "Zerg totally aren't evul trust us!" and Space Satan.

At least they kept the well-balanced gameplay of the original.

And Stukov, he was fucking badass.
>>
>>25831672
All I can find about dark archons not being in SCII:

The Dark Archon was to be replaced by the Twilight Archon (the union of a Khalai and a Nerazim), but the unit was cut at the last minute.
>>
>>25831717
I was surprised that her excuse to be evil again wasn't just "THERE MUST ALWAYS BE... A ZERG QUEEN."

It's worse if you watch the Korean dubs of the cutscenes, though. Kerrigan is excessively... Japanese about the experience.

SC2 story was pretty much a massive flop, not going to lie.
>>
>>25831672
EMPs completely take out shields?

Huh, I'd thought they'd only be partially effective on the bigger stuff.
>>
>>25831749
SC1 EMPs totally eliminated shields. SC2 EMPs just drain 100 from them.
>>
>>25831749
Oldschool EMP shockwave was energy and shields to zero. New terran ghost emp is 100 to shields and energy, with archon at 350, but y'know.

Marines counter them dudes pretty alright. 35 damage to marines, though. He'd probably nab a couple if it wasn't 1v1.

Better to engage an archon solo in your situation.
