You squint down from your place at the bleachers, and wonder just how easy it is to shoot your main objective from your current position. Even from this distance, picking out Kirishima Ruri is easy - none of the other slightly-blurry blobs sported quite the mane of brilliant blue-green hair. It'd be an easy affair, really, to put a round in between those cute twintails.

"Murderface?" Kyoko's voice crackles slightly, bringing you back from your contemplation of cathartic screeching idol murder. "Murderface, ya still there? Midorin, check if the call's dropped or anythin'--"

You tell her that you're still on the line. Yes, you know about idols, even if you wish you didn't. So far, though, it doesn't look like any of them have any designs on the blue-haired Eversor, although there was a bit of fawning over Sayaka's abs.

"Huh? Oh, yeah! Saw that in the webcast, too. Haha, you just made Midorin lose two thousand yen, she bet that you'd join in and wear a swimsuit too."

What? No. You're not...you may have amnesia, but you're not into that kind of thing. How'd she even arrive at that conclusion anyway?

You hear an embarrassed mumbling in the background. "Ah, Midorin says she thought you'd be professional enough to play along, ahahaha!"

...No. You're professional, but not that professional. You're not in the business of squeezing into something that barely even covers everything supposed to be covered.

More mumbling, but this time panicked.

"Ah, she ain't angry, relax." Kyoko snickers. "Anyway, you're sure of that, huh? None of those sneaky idols tryin' to catch her attention or anything?"

No. None of them. At least, that's what you think.

"Haah. Well, that's a relief." The Eversor heaves a sigh. "Sometimes I just get worried, you know?"

Yeah.

...Should you tell Kyoko about Kyosuke?

[]Tell her.
[]Don't tell her.
>>
>>25907998
[x]Hell no. If anything, we'll wait for a good chance to grill Sayaka about it later. And then after getting the full side of the story, we'll but our noses in.

[x]Tell her.

Fair warning and all.

EARLY MGNQ?

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO DECU?

>>25907998

>[x]Don't tell her.

Shes on her own mission and needs her own head in the game. Kyoko will fret, worry and make rookie mistakes.

We tell sayaka we didn't tell Kyoko. It's up to her to tell her herself.
>>
>>25907998
>[]Don't tell her.

We don't know if this is a problem yet. Telling her might MAKE it a problem.

Lets just play it cool and keep an eye on the situation. No sense in ratting out Sayaka for something we're not even sure she did.
>>
>>25907998
Tell her. No reason to keep it to yourself after all. Don't you trust her?
>>
>>25907998
[X] Don't tell her
It isn't our place and this isn't the time
Afterwards if they haven't sorted it out then maybe we can ruin their paradise
>>
>>25907998
[X] Tell her.
This is seriously affecting Sakaya, and if there's anyone we can trust with this info its Kyoko. While she's usually crap at keeping secrets, if she knows about Kyosuke and Sakaya's past she'll know that its serious enough to keep quiet about.

Just MAKE SURE SAYAKA ISN'T EAVESDROPPING WHEN YOU TELL HER.
>>
>>25908040

Anon, don't forget the [x].
>>
>>25907998
[X] Tell her
We can trust Kyoko, and Sakaya's usually stone-cold. If this is causing her to actually cry then we need to know if it'll affect her performance.

Especially if Kyosuke's the leak.
>>
>>25908043
Telling Kyouko means that we don't trust Sayaka, though. And I mean, we may hate each other, but we also grudgingly respect her, and going behind her back to rat her out for somewhere where she may not even be doing anything wrong, is kind of dickish.
>>
>>25908040
We're not ratting her out when we're asking her closest love one about a potentially delicate situation.

If Kyosuke's the leak and Sakaya has problems because of it...
>>
>>25908017
This.

>but our noses in
IF we ever do.
>>
>>25907998
>[X]Don't tell her.

Kyoko is on her own mission and doesn't need to be distracted, and she can't really help right now anyway due to the aforementioned mission.

Furthermore, if Sayaka doesn't end up going full retard then telling Kyoko now could just turn a non-issue into a big goddamn issue.
>>
>>25908061
I get how it means that we don't trust her, but it also means we're worried about her mental well-being.

Remember, SAKAYA KILLS HERSELF IN CANON BECAUSE OF THIS FUCKER. And she's ACTUALLY CRYING OVER IT.
>>
>>25908061
But isn't it better to have it out in the open?

/amnesia
>>
>>25908061
No it doesn't. It's not like we're telling her 'omg Sayaka is totally gonna fuq a dude', letting Kyouko know that she met someone from her past and seems to be in a bit of a funk makes perfect sense.
>>

..Wouldn't it make more sense to talk to SAYAKA about her problem, as opposed to going behind her back to her girlfriend? Because we know so little about the situation, getting Kyouko tangled up in it may do more harm than good. And it'll make Sayaka trust US less, too.
>>
[x]Tell her.

Kyouko deserves to know, and hopefully we'll get instant-gratification in the form of what the fuck happened.

My little fa/tg/uy can't be this new.

[X] Ask her. "Does the name Kyosuke Kamijou ring a bell?"
>>
>>25908097
Sayaka was overly emotional when we spoke to her about it.
Granted that was immediately after she became aware of his presence, AND while we had the DEagle out, so maybe she'll be more forthcoming if we ask again.
>>
>>25908097
Sakaya is pretty obviously emotionally vulnerable right now. If we bring it up to her face we could touch on emotional scars she'd rather keep hidden. Kyoko on the other hand knows enough to give us advice on what to do and how bad this could get.
>>
>>25908098

>As if we care about what Sayaka thinks of us for meddling

Chiaki does, now, dammit.

She even comforted her over ruining the image of her idol and saying she's there if she wanted to talk about Kyosuke.
>>
>>25908074
In canon she also wasn't in a steady relationship with another girl and she didn't have any other aims

This Sayaka deserves our trust as far as this goes, if it doesn't come out down the line then we can tell Kyouko

Telling her now just leads to trouble because both are busy with their respective missions and it could cause a lot of relationship trouble not to mention lose what respect Sayaka has for us professionally
>>
>>25907998
>[]Don't tell her.

Seriously, I can't see anything good coming out of telling her, especially if she's on her way to do her mission
>>
>>25908071
But this is Kyosuke we're talking about, the reason Sayaka goes full retard to begin with. We shouldn't rat her out, but we need to know if this is something serious.
>>
>>25908130
I just don't see how telling Kyoko that this dude Sakaya seems to know will cause problems, especially if we make it clear that Kyoko shouldn't come here just because of him.

[x]Don't tell her.

Look, Sayaka made her wish so she could tap that. Her wish was fueled by a pubescent craving for moody artist booty. Whatever lust was there has been left behind by the emotional pain and betrayal. We can trust blueberry not to do anything too dumb. And it's none of Kyoko's business, anyway. Let Sayaka tell her.

Kyouko has pretty much just spent a few minutes telling us how jealous she'd be if any of the idols hit on Sayaka, so it's hilarious timing if we're going to tell her that her girlfriend's old flame just showed up. You decide to tell Kyoko about Kyosuke. While it doesn't feel right to meddle in someone else's affairs, even if that someone is a blue-haired bitch who's made it clear time and again that she'd like nothing more than making a pincushion of your kidneys the moment she catches you unaware - it feels even less right to keep something from the red-haired Eversor that's tried her very best to be your friend, or something approaching it.

"Kyosuke? Kamijou Kyosuke?" Kyoko repeats after a moment, surprise evident in her voice. "What's he doing there? Giving string backup or what?"

...No. Well, backup of a sort, but not the sort she's thinking about.

"No shit? You're telling me he's one of the security detail, too? A-and he's huge?" It's then that she guffaws. "Aw, man! Now I definitely have to drop by later! It's been years since I saw that idiot! And if he's huge, that means he took my advice and everything! I've never found anyone stupid enough to do THAT!"

...What? She...Kyoko told a violinist to get huge and work as a professional meathead? What the hell is wrong with her?

"Huh? Oh, no! Kyosuke-kun's a friend of mine, we go way back! Childhood buddies even!" You can hear the Eversor cheerfully reminiscing in her tone. "Wimpy little dude, limp-wristed and everything. Couldn't even take a single punch! But anyway, ah, I just helped him think hard about things, that's all. Asked him if he was happy goin' to recitals and practicin' for hours and shit, in a stuffy old concert hall." Another guffaw. "'Course that was after hearin' about him complain about how boring all of it was. Said he couldn't stand to play another bar of Vivaldi, something like that."

...And that led to him being huge?

...Huh. Okay. That's...well.

Wait, she's coming over here? But what about her op?

"Eh, it'll just be a stop over. Sayaka wants me to bring her some clothes an' something extra. After that Midorin and I go directly to a stakeout, got a hunch some of the small fry yakuza could tell us something." It's here that she cackles. "Hahaha, Kyo-chan's gonna get a pounding! Man, maybe I should bring gloves or what? ...Nah, he can probably take one deep in the gut..."

This picture got me thinking...

You can't summon a god or transcendent being as a Servant, because only people who died as humans qualify as a Heroic Spirit, so the Godoka version is out.

But normal Magical Girl Madoka really doesn't have much that could qualify as a Noble Phantasm, and the most notable thing about her story is really Homura...

Would her Phantasm be Unlimited Homura Works? The Grail lists it as "Unlimited Murderface Works" as some kind of sick joke, so even Madoka doesn't know what the fuck it does until she actually uses it.

It's not that you're trying to be a party pooper, here. You're the last person to poop on anyone else's party. But if it's possible, you'd like the head of the security detail here to not be hospitalized, or killed. At least, not until after the op itself is done.

"Ah, that's fine! Just a friendly tap in the stomach, nothing permanent! I won't be transformed either, so it'll be fine!"

...Right. Just so she knows.

Anyway, you go on to tell her about the incident with the Tojo Group, earlier. If she's going to run down some yakuza later, then she may as well be prepared to come up against Magical Girl backup.

"...Really? Huh. The last yak job I took was from them. Nice guys, really, but a bit too obsessed with becoming legit if you ask me." A grunt. "If they're messing about with the Tenth, well, that's their decision, but I bet Kyuubey's pissed about that."

Nope, the mutant cat's not too pleased about it.

"Alright. Thanks for the tip, Murderface. I'll make sure to watch out. Yaks won't even get within ten feet of Midorin, don't you worry!"

...You appreciate it, but you haven't even asked about that.

"Ha! I knew you were gonna, anyway!"

Dammit.

...Well, that reminds you. Can Kyoko hand the phone over to Midori for a moment?

"Sure, hold on." A pause, and you hear Kyoko snickering as the phone is passed over. "Ah, yes, sempai?" Midori's voice comes on. "Something you'd like me to bring in our stopover?"

It's going to be a bit delicate here, but you need to tell Midori about Iori, and what could happen if they met.

How do you tell Midori about avoiding the idol she almost had raped?

Tell her simply that we're not sure if Iori will recognise her. Perhaps a simple Magical Midori Makeup to change her appearance slightly will be enough.

They'll be a day for the breaking of the news and apologies (Don't worry, Chiaki will stand beside you) but today is not that day.
>>
>>25908904
I don't think we need to be too delicate here. she's a smart girl if we just let her know that making an appearance around iori is a bad idea she will get it. I mean it's not rocket science

>>
I'm honestly not sure if Iori actually saw the real Midori, honestly. Pinky may have broken the illusion for us, but it's possible Iori never saw anything but Yayoi when she was throwing up and unconscious.
>>
>>25908946

[X] "Uh.. Iori Minase is here as you know so.. uh.. You... might want to stay in the car?"

Actually, come to think of it, we can probably assume Iori wouldn't recognize Midori at all.

After all, she's voicing Murder Mayumi in the MMxMM OVA. Which means she's probably seen at the very least some concept/promotional art. Which means she probably knows what the character Miracle Midori looks like.

If Iori had gotten a good look at Midori's real appearance during the rape incident and remembered it, I highly doubt she'd be remotely willing to voice a character who is romantically involved with a character that looks uncannily like the magical girl who nearly got her raped.
>>
>>25908904
[x] "Okay, this is the sort of thing I need to be delicate about but we both know that isn't going to work so just, I dunno, brace yourself.

Still best not to assume too much.

She was in clear view vomitting when we broke out of the illusion, she might have seen her and mentally blocked her resemblance, its a coping method for trauma. Seeing her in the flesh might shock back the memory that she saw her that night.
>>
Midorin is a fucking meguca with specialization in infiltration and subterfuge, and I doubt any disguise takes that much effort on her part, not to mention Iori may not even have full view and/or committed her into memory. Minimal magical disguise and let her do whatever
>>
>>25908633
why is that

I'm quite sure she did.

She had a good view of Chiaki advancing on Midori after she slaughtered the rapist and kneecaping her.

Either way, I think asking her to keep a low profile is most appropriate. No need for "lol stay in the car bitch."

>>
>>25908904

[X] Iori Minase is here and if you drop by, the two of you will probably meet. Whether you want to avoid her or apologize to her, that's up to you. Just thought you should know that if you happen to meet, she will not be happy. That's all.

Well, no, you think you're good with everything. There's just something you need to tell her in advance.

"A-ah, I see. Well, what is it then, sempai?" Midori's voice is the same as it always is, except you could hear a bit of nervousness to it. You do your best to ignore it as you plough on ahead - this is important, after all, and you can't afford to half-ass it.

It's with careful, measured tones, then, that you tell Midori about Iori being here, and...well, what could happen if the idol recognized her. She did see in the webcast that the idol's voicing Murder Mayumi, right? If they're going to stop over, then it may be prudent for her to keep a low profile.

"Ah. I...I see, sempai."

There's silence on the other end. Uneasy, uncomfortable silence, a silence that you couldn't help but try and fill. It's not that you don't want the both of them to meet or even...well, just hash things out, but this isn't the time nor the place for it. You'll be there for her when that has to happen, but not now.

"N-no, sempai, it's alright." Midori's voice catches slightly as she reassures you. "I...I know what I did, nothing's going to change that. And...and yes, I know what could happen if she recognized me. I'm not really sure myself if she got a clear look at me or not, anyway. Things kind of get blurry around the time you shot my legs off." A giggle, here, that even you could spot as forced. "But sure, sempai. I'll make sure I'm out of sight."

You thank her for being patient with you. She knows you're hardly the type to care about this sort of thing, unless it was really important.

"I know, sempai, and you don't have to apologize, or anything. I'll be fine." The smile in her voice isn't so forced, now. "Thank you for telling me in advance."

[+2 Midori Points!]

Right. That's all you wanted to tell her.

"Alright, sempai. Kyoko-san says we'll be stopping by in the evening. ...Ah, she wants to say goodbye."

More shuffling, and Kyoko's voice comes on once more. "Yo, Murderface! I forgot, I wanted to talk to you about somethin'!"

What is it?

"Ah, huh...well, it can probably wait and stuff. You're busy and shit, an' I don't want to shovel more onto your plate. ...No, it's nothing serious, but I thought you'd want to know, seeing as I'm your aide and everything."

...She's pregnant?

"Hah! No! Jeez, Murderface, you nearly made me run over an old guy! It's nothing, just something about work! Anyway, see you later, an' thanks for watchin' over Sayaka!"

No problem. Although really, it's the other way around.

"Don't let her hear you say that! Laters!"

[+50 Kyoko Points!]

No, you're not at all trained for melee combat, but you've always been surprised about your...talent for it. You're no innate master, that's for sure, your moves aren't as refined or as practiced as that of even the lowest-ranking Eversor - but despite the lack of finesse and technique, you seem to have developed a natural, almost reflexive instinct to cause pain in the most brutal ways possible. Even without a gun in your hands.

Turning on your heel - holding your right arm out - you spin around to smash your shield into the incoming blade. Instead of feeling the point of the blade add another jagged scar into the already ruined face of your shield, you instead grit your teeth against the impact of the metal plate's edge dislodging the weapon from the hand that gripped it. Hearing a surprised cry of pain as the brief resistance that met your Shield yielded, then vanished a moment later.

You catch a glimpse of a well-sized combat blade spinning end over end somewhere down into the bleachers as you immediately lunge forward, giving your attacker absolutely no time to react. Stepping right into his combat radius, you jam a foot behind their ankle and shove him into a backwards fall with his own fucking face. Putting your entire weight into the shove, your fingers curling around his skull as you follow him down.

Your assailant all but gets slammed right into the concrete, making the satisfying noise of wind being forced right out of their lungs and then some. Throwing a leg over them in a top-control straddle, the golden Desert Eagle gleams in your hand as you press its mouth onto the poor bastard's forehead in a soft, almost gentle kiss.

I can't be the only one cackling away like a madman at our regular insanity.
>>
>>25910098

The entire encounter took no longer than three heartbeats. You know this, because you heard your attacker's own heart thudding in your ears, adrenalin-fast, quickened by danger. It would have taken you another to pull the trigger, and whoever had the audacity to attack you during a scopeout would need to be carted away covered in newspapers. No open-casket burial.

Until, of course, you hear a familiar voice, panicked and desperate, underneath you.

"A-alright, ma'am! I yield, I yield! You got me! I surrender! I give!"

...Kyosuke...?

You blink away the red haze in your vision, your brow furrowing as you look down at your would-be assailant - and victim.

Huh. It is Kyosuke. Gasping for breath underneath you, the young man looking up at the Desert Eagle's massive barrel. To his credit, he doesn't look all that scared - although he's sweating quite a bit, and all the color's drained from his face.

Huh? What...did he sneak up on you? Did a non-magical girl mook just very nearly got the fucking drop on you?

Something flapping at your field of vision catches your eye. You glance toward it - it's somebody's black suit, its sleeves flapping in the air. You look back down towards the young man you're currently pinning to the ground - and notice that he's now clad in only a singlet, with a shoulder holster and a bandolier of magazines worn over it. An empty combat knife sheathe strapped to his side.

Well, of course he's still wearing his pants. He'd just look weird without them.

"I...uh. Ma'am, please, I know you're angry, but...m-may I please ask if you could take your trigger finger away from the huge gun about to blow my head clean off? At..at least until I can explain everything, ma'am." Kyosuke tries again, managing to force a guilty smile.

Yeah, no. You keep the Desert Eagle on him as you keep him pinned there. He pulled the knife on you, so no favors. He's lucky you're in the mood to be reasonable, despite everything that's happened so far. Either he explains why he just tried to knife you in the kidneys, or you explain to Sayaka that she'll have to conduct their timely reunion with him in the morgue.

"R-right. That's...that's fair, Miss Matsuda." Kyosuke swallows audibly, eyes darting nervously from you, to the gun, then back at you again. "M-Miss Matsuda, I'm...I'm team leader of my squad. We're...well, we're not magical. We don't have any sparkles."

Of course. Even you can tell that. But what does that have to do with anything?

"It's got...it's got everything to do with everything, Miss MatsudaNOPLEASEDON'TSHOOTPLEASEDON'TSHOOT," Kyosuke's words start to run together at the end when you pulled back the trigger the tiniest fraction of a millimeter more. You don't like it when the people you're interrogating try to be smart with you. "We're...it's sort of a tradition, Miss Matsuda! The team leader of any op has to get a souvenir f-from any Magical Girl working with us! That's all it was, Miss Matsuda, and that's the honest truth!"

A...souvenir? You narrow your eyes at him, and prod him a bit more with your Desert Eagle. What's this stupid (and obviously suicidal) tradition for? What kind of souvenir do they have to take from the presiding Magical Girl? And if he wanted something like that, couldn't he have just asked you for it, whatever it was?

[1/2]
>>
>>25910555
Shoot him in the ass. That counts as a souvenir.
>>
>>25910555

"J-just a scrap of cloth from your uniform, Miss Matsuda! Nothing else!" Kyosuke shakes his head furiously. "I was...I was trying to go for one of the tails in your back ribbon, I didn't think you'd miss it! A-and it's part of the tradition, to take it with a knife, a-and without the Magical Girl knowing!" It's here he absolutely looks wretched. "And...o-of course I know it's a stupid tradition, Miss Matsuda, but...but that sort of ruins the point, doesn't it? If we ask for it, then what's...what's the point?" He swallows again, unable to take his eyes away from the Desert Eagle's barrel pressed against his forehead. "It's...I suppose you can say it's a game for us, Miss Matsuda. One where we can at least feel that we're proving to ourselves that we're...we're not obsolete, as such."

...Obsolete?

Kyosuke nods. "It's...we're one of the few security agencies left, Miss Matsuda. I don't mind it much, b-but...well, ever since the Magical Girls came in, we've been getting less and less work. Principals nowadays can't seem to sleep right without a Magical Girl signed onto their detail, not like the days when they'd be satisfied with a well-armed squad or two." Despite himself, he lets out a sigh. "It's...well, it's just our way of coping, ma'am. Yes, I know it was uncalled for and unprofessional, but the team needed a morale boost after...after what happened back at the hotel." Another sigh. "And these guys are family men, Miss Matsuda. They feed their families through this work. They don't mean any harm, they just need a bit of a morale boost."

Huh. That's...you suppose that makes sense. In a stupid sort of way.

...Wait. So, if this is the first time he'd seen a Magical Girl, then...?

[2/3]
>>
>>25910555

>>
>>25910594

"This...this is my first time doing it, Miss Matsuda." Kyosuke allows himself a helpless, awkward smile. "I snuck up on you when you looked preoccupied with your phone. Stashed my coat away so I wouldn't make too much noise." He shakes his head. "I...I thought I'd get away with it, but..." He tries to shrug, but with his arms pinned to his sides by your own legs, all he manages is a brief twitch of his shoulders. "It sucks trying to sneak up on a Magical Girl."

Well, he's said his case. Managing to at least look honest with a gun still pressed against his forehead and a Magical Girl straddling him.

Very tempted to go with something to this effect (my thought would've just been to shoot him in the leg and tell him the bullet's his souvenir, he can even get it with his knife per tradition), but seeing as it's a morale thing, and we do want Kyousuke's goon squad to be doing their jobs competently that's probably a bad idea.

We don't have to use the Golden DE to do it. In fact, wait, fuck.

On an entirely unrelated note.

Kyoko and Midori are searching for a missing girl. A missing girl who disappeared off the face of the Earth. Kinda like how a certain Rika "cosplayer" had no form of ID or any connection to anyone.
Clearly they are related, and clearly they are coming because the two missions are related and Decu realized we are too dumb to notice that.

Full Shadowrun

Rika isn't actually Rika but a Callidus who has been fooling us and we are in a dream. We couldn't detect it because Noriko is a Culexus who blocked our magic detection

Kyousuke said that regular security outfits are being pushed out of the market because of Magical Girls being more effective, especially when other Magical Girls are being sent in to kill the principals.
What about more heavily armed or specialist security firms, ones that are closer to being PMC's and so have better trained and combat-hardened personnel? Are they also being pushed out of the security market, or are they actually coming into the security market from the military market, since they're the only ones aside from other Magical Girls that could do the job?

Time Stop works by stopping time with magic, yes? Then if someone were to have an anti-magic field, then they would be unaffected by the time stop, allowing them to move within a Time Stopped world. This would effectively make them like Kirika, whose own time manipulation powers allowed her to move and act in spite of our Time Stop.

We really need to see if we can pull that ribbons to rifles bullshit like Mami.

Thats not how it works. Its not the the whole world stops because Homu`s Timestop. its just that Homu leaves the timestream. This is also why you have to touch her so her Ability effects you too.

This is not something you can counter except if your Magical Ability is something like ÜBER-lightspeed like with The Flash.
>>
>>25911503

>magic shield
>no nifty passive defensive ability

inb4 melee skill+ on vind is our special ability. fuck thats it isn't it... so mundane.
>>
>>25911515
In the MGN setting you can "counter" it by:
Having a 2Fast2Furious ability like you said
Being a culexus like >>25911451 said
Having a time based ability like Kirika did.

All of them are only possible ofcourse for magical girls, there is no way a normal human can counter the ultimate timestop ability Homu has, even if it is a Anti-Meduca PMC.
>>
I'm curious about the specifics of how our shield is broken. IS the sand timer bit broken?

It's a long quest and I've forgotten that detail if it was ever said.
>>
>>25911581
You don't need defense if you shoot first.
>>
>>25911600
Of course they're normally only possible for Magical Girls. But if an anti-Meguca PMC has anti-magic weapons and equipment, which should already be impossible, what makes you so sure they don't have anti-magic fields?
>>
>>25911634
I'm wondering why the Incubators haven't already wiped them out. When a third side has something to threaten your operatives, it's sort of..concerning.

Maybe one of them is selling them the tech. Or it just isn't up to the point where it can threaten more than 1-2 megucas at a time.
>>
>>25911634
>what makes you so sure they don't have anti-magic fields?

Read >>25911451, there is a reason Culexus are so rare and treasured.
>>
>>25911670
The Silent Rooms are based on Culexus principles but you don't need one slotted into it, apparently. So their powers can be mimicked, at least to an extent, by Incubator technology.
>>
>>25911687
Exactly, Incubators. So the only way for the PMC to get that technology is for them to cooperate with an Officio, and in that case we aren't talking about "normal people" we are talking about "People that are backed up with magic"
>>
>>25911620

summon shields that absorb and then fire incoming attacks back at people,

Wait was the at sufficient velocity crap shotgun shield in this quest? I can't remember clearly whether it was or some other pmmm quest/fanfic.

having an automatic shield summon defense so we don't need to watch out for kidney knives.

summonable shields that can act like portals. inventory is clearly out witch barrier. we should stick out head in to the shield sometime see what it looks like. fuck even if we can still only summon the one shield being able to make it appear near things and suck it up would be useful.
>>
>>25911716
For example, there's the Third Incubator that decided to cash out of the Meguca industry and no longer be held accountable to the energy quotas from Home Office, so he could concentrate on pure profiteering. What's to say that he hasn't gotten into the magical weapons industry with Incubator tech?

Or the Tenth, who uses unsavory tactics that are supposed to be taboo among the Incubators.

Just because 'normal humans' can't do something, doesn't mean that such 'normal humans' can't buy the tech to do the said thing (anti-magic fields) from an Incubator that's more concerned about profit or destabilizing a rival Officio.
