You are Christopher Phillips, previously just another teenage nerd living in a small English town, and a lot of things have changed in your life since you died. For example, you've never previously been asked to pay for something in blood.

Despite some ominous visions, you've decided to attend the party that Isabella Donaldson, the most popular girl in school, is throwing tonight. You need to protect your friends. You need to make sure she doesn't find some other way of taking control of you. And you very much need to make her understand who's the top predator around here.

You've not gone into this without a plan, of course: with the help of Avril Dunway, your possibly-Fae companion, you'll persuade her to agree to a magically-binding deal that will prevent her taking control of you or your friends. You're certain you can have Isabella wrapped around your finger and ready to agree to anything by the end of the night.

Just to make sure, you've gone to Jason Souza, an old friend of yours who now dabbles in various shady chemicals, to get some special help. He told you that if he got something rare and powerful, its price wouldn't be measured in money, but you still weren't expecting him to ask for a drop of your blood in payment.

Jason is still looking at you. He's holding a tiny glass vial in one hand. The liquid inside is a solid black.

((Cont.))
>>
>>25932055
"Sounds weird, huh? But I don't set the price, not for something like this. Guaranteed to blow her mind, leave her wanting nothing but you. Accept no substitutes."

"Why blood? Does it have to be mine?"

"Afraid so. There's something special in your blood, apparently, and someone wants a sample. Can't say much more than that. Take it or leave it."

Avril is tugging slightly on your arm.

[]If it'll get you Isabella, it's worth it.
[]No way. You'll find another way to get to her.
[]Try and persuade Jason to tell you a bit more about what he wants with your blood.
[]Find out what Avril wants.

"That's still not very comforting, Jason. You can't tell me anything more about what someone wants with my blood?"

He scratches the back of his neck and looks a little sheepish. "I don't actually know all that much more. Just that whatever it is, they want it bad." He taps the bottle. "This isn't the sort of thing they hand out lightly, you know. Coke, speed, I can get stuff like that just by snapping my fingers, but this is a full-on lust potion. There's something special about you all of a sudden. Even if you don't take the deal, I'm sure there's a lot of other things my sponsors can offer you. Just... think about it, okay? It's not all that much, in the grand scheme of things. Just a drop of blood."

"I'll think about it, yeah. But not right now. This is just too weird for me."

Jason shrugs. "Alright, man, up to you. You know where to find me if you change your mind."

Avril relaxes a little as you walk away. "That could have gone badly. I could smell corruption all over him, but I didn't dare say anything in front of him. Some powers it's never a good idea to make deals with, even when they can make good on their end of the deal. The price always ends up being higher than you think."

Damnit guys stop agreeing or else this quest is gonna get wierd.
>>
>>25932684
You and Avril continue to walk around, taking in the main party. It's a big house, and you doubt you'd have time to check each and every room without spending a couple of hours. Still, you make your way through the main party areas - a dining room where a massive old table is being used to host a buffet with every type of snack imaginable, a room that's been cleared out to serve as a dancefloor, the pool area (which continues to be seriously impressive simply by virtue of it being the only private pool you've ever seen), and two rooms you have to hurry through with your hands over your mouths because of all the smoke in the air. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be spreading much beyond those rooms.

Most of the popular kids from various school years are here. The sports guys are here, of course - the football team, the rugby team. You see Zack and Apollo doing shots - Zack waves at you as you pass and gives you a thumbs up when he notices Avril. Apollo just stares blankly at you, then goes back to his drink.

By the time you get back to the main entrance to the house, Cassandra has come in, and makes her way through the crowd as soon as she spots the two of you. "Not upstairs yet? You really shouldn't keep Isabella waiting like that. And so stiff, too. This is a party, relax, enjoy yourself. If you want, I could always give you a massage. They always help me relax. No? Well, your loss. Maybe later."

Time to go deal with Isabella?

[]Absolutely
[]One last thing...
>>
>>25932917
I'm curious as fuck to go upstairs but my paranoia is saying to get the fuck out of the house.

Say to Isabella that her party wasn't that good to keep you entertained enough at school.

I'm voting to get the fuck out of this party.
>>

>>
>>25933140
"Actually, there is one thing I'd like - I heard there was a video going around, something someone took earlier today. Sounds like it was pretty funny."

Cassandra shrugs a little. She manages to make it look graceful nonetheless. "Eh, if you like. You really had to have been there, but it's still pretty good to watch." She pulls out a mobile phone, taps at it a little and turns the screen to you. You can make out Jill, sitting on the floor of the showers. There's a whole bunch of girls laughing and shouting out of shot, and small, blurred white objects are being thrown at her. Jill eventually scrabbles to her feet, grabbing her clothes and fleeing. The camera flicks back to the showers, where there's a small patch of blood being washed away, turns to Isabella's laughing face, and then cuts out. "That's all of it. I should head upstairs now, sorry. See you up there." She turns at the top of the stairs to give you a brief wave before heading deeper into the mansion.

When you get to the stairs, you can see there's a few well-muscled guys screening people at the bottom. They give Avril a glance, then wave you both through.

Upstairs is quite a bit quieter. The corridor that leads in from the landing ends in a T-junction, with doors down both turnings. There's quite a bit of loud moaning and grunting coming from the left hand fork.

[]Open the door to the right
[]Open the door to the left
[]There are a few smaller doors along the corridor. Let's open some of them.
>>
>>25933354
Oh christ, how in the hell did someone in England miss out on sex ed? Welp time to start making moves so that Jill is more comfortable in her own skin and doesn't think her bleeding for a week straight once a month without dying is unnatural.

[x]Right hand fork, the silence interests me.

i was suspecting this, but isnt she a bit old for her first period? well, anyways, we can use this to get closer to her with avril.

>>25933468

>>
>>25933494
You go right, and open the door at the end of the short passageway. Inside is a large bedroom, with a circular bed in the middle. Some sort of elaborate symbol has been drawn on the floor all around the bed, with unlit black candles at various points. Cassandra is lying in the centre of the bed, blindfolded and gagged but otherwise naked. When she hears the door open, she shuffles round on the bed a little until her feet are pointing towards the doorway, and then slowly lifts her legs up into the air, before bending them towards her and putting her feet behind her head. Then she lies there, silent and waiting.

There doesn't appear to be anyone else in the room right now. There are two doors on the far walls, but the symbol covers most of the floor, so you'll probably have to walk on it at some point to get to them.

What do you want to do?
>>
>>25933622
((Let's not.))
>>
>>25933657
Point out the symbols to Avril, then point to the doors on the far walls. If she okays it, close the door behind us and go as quietly as possible over to them, avoiding the symbols as much as possible. Ignore Cassandra and hopefully let her think we left the room.
>>
>>25933657
Can we...I dunno, scuff or scratch the mark?
Make it imperfect?
Because I've seen supernatural- that's the BEST way to ruin a trap but still look like it's sprung.
I mean, we ask Avril whether she thinks it would work, but that's my input.
Gives us a nice "nofuckyou" moment-
like the Morinth Mission in Mass Effect 2.
Which, by the way, this is reminding me of way too much for things to end well.

Everytime we have sex with someone we'll get addicted to having sex with that person. Let's not get addicted to Cassandra or Isabella because this wouldn't end well.

You quietly point out the symbols on the floor to Avril, and make a scuffing motion with your foot. She nods, then holds up a hand, and gets down on the floor to take a closer look at the symbols. It's hard to make them out clearly without a good light source.

As Avril bends over to study the symbols, you can see her dress riding up at the back. You were right, she's not wearing anything underneath it.

You're suddenly reminded just how hungry you are. How very, very hungry.

>>
>>25933915
No. No, this isn't the time, this really isn't the time. You damp your hunger down. It's there, under the surface, though. That's going to be distracting.

Avril carefully points out a few individual parts of the symbol, and you scuff them out with your shoe. Nothing seems to happen right away, but Avril nods, and points to the far doors. One of the doors is larger and more ornate than the other.

Cassandra is trying to moan something through her gag, but you can't make it out.

You open the smaller door. On the other side is a large and fairly luxurious bathroom - a few shower stalls, a massive porcelain tub that looks big enough for four or five people, and what is presumably a separate jacuzzi.

From the door you came in by, you can hear the sound of loud footsteps coming down the hall.

On a different note, you really don't need to pastebin every fade to black. It would be cool if you did but your output isn't infinite and there's a lot of things that would be better than "You have lots of sex with Avril again" in more words.

Not especially- we appear to be using the Ghoul skills and template, as far as most of us can see, but we're a bit skewed- our hunger is for control, which we immediately used to secure a sub for ourselves, and we seem to be able to turn people on easily (Though this may just be a MH trait in general). It's the way we're using our skills that makes us a pseudo-incubus, not the skills themselves.

We're playing a ghoul like another template, basically.

>>25934371
No. We will not be reading that. Not this day.

>>25934353
Please, no. We don't want Avril NTR'd.

Also, can we lock the door we just came through? The door to the room with Cassandra?
Because that wil give us more time to inspect the door we haven't looked at yet- we don't just randomly run into a room without looking first, people. Especially not in this house.
>>
>>25934448
((As much as I know people enjoyed the first one, you have a point. I want to finish off the one I'm working on now, because I did say at the start of the thread it'd be done, but after that I'll save it for scenes that are particularly special.))

You signal to Avril to stay put, close the door to the bathroom and wait. After a moment, Isabella steps into the room, with Apollo following behind her.

She smiles to herself and nods when she sees Cassandra still displaying herself on the bed, then spots the two of you.

"Avril. Chris. So good of you to join us. Don't worry about Cassandra, she's having a splendid time, aren't you dear?" Cassandra nods enthusiastically. "See? Of course, she could be having an even better time if people were giving her a hand."

Isabella walks slowly around the bed, trailing her hand across the sheets. "I know this might look a little strange to you two, but it's just another way of having fun, really. Cassandra here enjoys the giving up of responsibility. Letting someone else have all the power, all the control. There are all sorts of different things that bring people pleasure, bring them joy. And isn't that a good thing? To spread a little more joy in the world, a little more fun? I'm sure neither of you get as much fun as you'd like. We have everything here. Whatever your heart desires. What can I do to bring a little more joy into your lives?

She walks up to you, looking right into your eyes. You can feel how easy it would be to get lost in them, to drift away in her eyes.

"All you have to do is ask. Cassandra? That girl at school, Jill? I can get her for you. I'm happy to reward those who do well for me, as you've done tonight. Just tell me, what do you want?"

You stare Isabella down coldly, ignoring the nagging hunger at the back of your mind telling you to make her kneel and the deep pools of her eyes.

"What do *you* want, Isabella? What's your heart's desire? You've got all these choices, all these options - what is it that brings you joy?"

Isabella falters for a second. She doesn't say anything. No snappy comeback, no cutting insult. For a moment she's vulnerable.

[]Press the advantage. Make her seem weak in front of her followers.
[]Walk away. Let her know that you saw her weakness, and didn't even need to push at it. It'll give you an emotional hold over her later.

Unless our QM is doing something which is probably very complicated, nothing in MH or any Apocalypse World hack is contested, at least in that way. You lean back a little. "I'll let you think about that one. In the meantime, this has been a great party, very entertaining, but I think it's really time for us to go. I'll see you at school."

Apollo looks slightly dumbfounded. You can't make out Cassandra's expression behind the blindfold, but her legs stay where they are. Isabella still looks shocked, but it quickly turns into a smile. "Yeah, I'll see you around, Chris. And you too, Avril. You can't hold out forever."

You walk out of the house, Avril following behind you, and down the long drive. A guy you don't recognise is standing and watching the gate, though it doesn't look like he has much to do at this point. Avril laughs. "Well, that wasn't quite what we planned, but I think it worked out pretty well in the end. The look on her face was just brilliant. We've challenged her now, though. She's not going to just back down and submit to you. Be careful, sir."

Is there anything else you want to do tonight, or on Friday? Most of the weekend will probably be taken up with preparations for Jill's birthday party on Monday. Tomorrow you have English Literature, more Physics, a free study period just before lunch (which you usually spend in the library) and Chemistry last thing on Friday afternoon.

>>
>>25936526
We should be starving, better Eat Avril somewhere private.
>>
>>25936526
Do we have a computer?
Or is there a computer at the library or at school somewhere?
If so, we research. We learn as much about supernatural compulsion, control, etc. as possible.
We also might want to experiment on random people, see what we can and can't get them to do, based on our influence alone. So far we've known the people we're ordering on a more personal level, which makes it easier for us to order them around.
Just a suggestion, either one.
>>
>>25936526
We should talk to Jill about the blood, explain what really happened. We can use Friday for that, to get it out of the way before her birthday party.

Tonight, we should check with Avril if there's anything we need to do or be aware of regarding Isabella. We want to be ready for whatever she can do asap.

We should socialise more with Masami, too: we haven't talked to her much, or even introduced her to Avril, so we should do some bonding before the party, perhaps over preparations. See if we can find out a bit more about her too.

Jill being top priority.
>>
>>25936526
>>25936615
also, tomorrow spend the break time avril, jill and misami. talk about jill's party and other stuff, just have a fun meal.
during library time, search supernatural beings. anything we can learn.
>>
>>25936573
>>25936614
I'll throw my support behind these.
We might also want to inquire as to whether or not Avril's family knows about us or our...relationship.
If she gets in trouble or something, we're out of a plaything, and an ally.
>>
>>25936526
Aside from Avril? Talk to Masami a bit more, get her to open up. For Jill talk to her about what happened and maybe ask her if she wasn't let to take the health lessons.
>>
>>25936526
((Okay, writing now.))
>>
>>25936747
You're still really hungry. The park seems like a good stopping point for a nice green snack, and Avril is very happy to oblige. Once you're done you head to the library. You ask Avril if she can suggest anything that might help you learn more about Isabella, or about supernatural compulsion in general. She roots around in the historical section for a while, still extremely distracting in that dress even now that you're more sated, and comes up with a book on cults and brainwashing.

It's fairly interesting reading - sex is apparently a common tool to indoctrinate new members into a cult, making them feel loved and happy and reinforcing their association of the cult with good things - but it doesn't deal much with supernatural influences like Isabella's. Still, it might come in handy at some point.

The next day you head off to school, ready to have a talk with Jill about what actually happened to her on Wednesday and try and reassure her that it's nothing to do with sin.

Unfortunately, Jill doesn't seem to be at school today. One of her classmates says her mother called in to say she was sick.

English Literature is your first class of the day. As soon as the class breaks up into study groups to dissect "Lord of the Flies" even further, you make a beeline for Masami.

Do you have anything specific you want to talk about with her?
>>
soo does anyone have a copy of the pdf?
>>
>>25937167
ask her how she likes it here? get her to talk, have a warm chat. talk to her about ourself and our family(usual stuff). then tell her "tell me a bit about yourself and your family" with our convincing power.
>>
>>25937167
"You know what you are Masami? You're a little koala bear giving handsies out behind the Rite Aid for bottles of Nyquil. Me? And while you have your hands full of shame and cold medication, I'm going to fuck that air superiority bitch until she poops out a striped Cessna. So, I ask you Masami- do you want to ride on my go cart? Or do you just want to suck on shitty half melted brown otter pops for the rest of your life?"
>>
>>25937167
We should get Avril or Masumi to phone Jill's house later.

Ask Masumi about her life and family back in Japan, and how different she's finding England. Let's see how familiar she is with society and how she's settling in.

Ask about interests, too, academic and otherwise.

Not so much the first part, because of the second part. It adds an extra layer if you know what's going on to the enjoyment, but takes away nothing for the people have no idea what's going on. You don't like it, don't read spoilers.

"Whatever you do, don't mention the hair!"

"Hey Masami, nice weather we're having! You can feel the heat in the air. I mean, hair! No, air!"

"So, um, Jill's party. I trust you'll be hair? There! I trust you'll be there!"
>>
>>25937410
"Hi Masami, do you remember me? Chris. I was hoping we could work together."

"Y-yes, I remember. Of course." You work through the book a little - she seems to read English pretty much flawlessly.

You try to work in a few questions about Masami's life and family in Japan as you talk. Her answers are fairly brief - she had quite a large family. They were all always very nice and friendly, but she needed a change. England is lovely - the people are still a little intimidating, but it's nice to start making friends. She'll definitely be coming to Jill's party on Monday.

She still seems a little nervous around you, and she's still playing with that pendant every so often, so you ask her about it. As soon as she realises she's toying with it, she lets go and quickly puts her hands down, clutching her book.

"It's nothing. Nothing important. Families and their superstitions, you know."

"Superstitions? What do you mean?"

"It's, uh... supposed to protect me. Watch over me when I'm far from home. It's just something that reminds me of home, I guess." She blushes a little.

"Chris, this might sound like a strange question, but would you mind if I... held your hand? Just..... just for a moment." She blushes again, a deep red standing out against her pale skin..

>>

"Th.. thank you." Masami takes your hand cautiously. "Oh! It's cold..." She strokes your hand gently and a little reverently. Her skin is a tiny bit clammy, but very soft. After a little while of this, she suddenly drops your hand, looking down at the table and blushing. "I'm sorry. You must think me so shameless, holding hands with a boy I've only just met... it was nice of you, though." She picks up her book and starts reading intently, still blushing a deep red.

You have a free study period before lunch, an hour and a half which you're supposed to be spending doing independent research, catching up on homework, or taking part in optional sports or music sessions. You usually spent it in the library reading. That was before the events of last Sunday, though.

[]Go and find Avril in the break between classes, convince her to skip class, and have some fun.

You flick through the books in the library. There's a surprising variety of unusual books here. You wouldn't expect "Blood Rites and Sacrifices" to be found in a school library, for instance. You pull out a couple of books on cults and one on Japanese spirits, and set to work.

>>
>>25938490
>>25938514

There's a massive variety of Japanese spirits to look through. They seem to have spirits, ghosts or monsters for just about every occasion.

You do have one fairly substantial breakthrough, though. You find the symbol that's on Masami's pendant. It's not a protective symbol. It's associated with certain obscure cults in remote island or coastal regions. That's all the book says - it's just given as an example of the sort of thing cults use as an identifying symbol - but it's a lot more than you knew an hour and a half ago.

You grab Avril for a bit of lunch and a bit of feeding outside. She doesn't know where Jill is either, but reminds you that she's supposed to be meeting Jill for some tutoring this evening - hopefully she can talk to Jill then.

The weekend is quickly upon you. What sort of preparations do you want to make for Jill's birthday party?

Don't worry; we'll be panicking again soon enough, I wager.
>>
>>25939116
You sort out a nice cake and a variety of snacks for Monday, and tell your parents about the planned party. Your mother is happy to hear that you're having some friends over, and has no problem staying out of the way of the party. She offers to sort out some home-made cupcakes as well.

With the food sorted, you head out on Saturday to shop for a present for Jill. You're not sure what she'd like - there's always the option of getting her a book, but that seems a little dull for her first actual birthday party. You text Avril to see if she has any ideas on what to get Jill, and ask her if she'd like to come shopping with you. You don't get a reply.

You have a couple of thoughts of your own. Jill doesn't have much in the way of fancy clothing, so you could get her a nice dress. You could try and get her a prepaid phone she could use to keep in touch with you. Or you could get her something by one of her favourite authors.

[]A dress sounds like a good plan. Her mother can't possibly object if you keep it nice and plain.
[]A phone would need to be hidden from her mother, but it's the best choice to start getting her freedom
[]A book is the safest choice, something she can show her mother without too much worry. You can work on Jill's freedom in other ways.

You pick up a cheap pre-paid phone and look through the bookshops for something Jill would appreciate, that's not got an overtly "Satanic" cover (where "Satanic" covers dragons, wizards, snakes, half-naked barbarians, women in skimpy clothing and many of the other standard cliches of fantasy art). You briefly ponder getting something thick enough that you could cut a compartment into it and hide a phone inside, but Jill would never forgive you for cutting up a book like that. Eventually you settle on something with a fairly simple, abstract cover. Her mother wouldn't bother to read through the entire book to determine if it's sinful.

Hmmm. Avril really should have texted you back by now.

You keep looking through the bookshops for a bit longer, picking out one or two more books for Jill and a few things for yourself. After a little while you get a text. Huh, it's from Jason. You didn't know he still had your number.

"Meet me in the park in half an hour. Come alone."

You text Avril again. Then you call her. She doesn't pick up.

Now you're angry. Jason's taken control of this situation from you. He's probably taken Avril from you. You're not going to let this pass.

You dump the presents at home and stalk off to the park to confront Jason. You're rolling over in your head all the things you're going to do to him when you get your hands on him.

You walk into the park and take a look around. It's fairly empty. There's a large open grassy area where someone's walking their dog in the distance. There's the bench that you and Jill had pizza on nearly a week ago. And over the other side of the park is a large stand of trees. You don't see Jason anywhere, so he's probably in there.

You march into the trees, casting your head about. There he is, right in the middle, lazing against a tree. It looks like he's alone too.

"Jason. What the hell is this about?"

"Come on, Chris. Can't we have a nice chat? Like old friends?"

"Where's Avril, Jason?"

"Ah... yeah, about that." He shrugs apologetically, and you see a couple of large, bulky looking gentlemen step out from behind the trees around you. One of them has Avril, bound and with tape over her mouth. He's holding a knife to her neck.

"I'm sorry, Chris. I really didn't want this to get all messy. But there are certain... people, certain very important people, to whom I owe some rather worrying debts. And they're cashing them in. So I really do have to insist about that blood, you see."

>>
>>25940324
Jason, I'm going to say this slowly so you understand. You, fucked, up. Now think about this, if Avril comes to harm you lose your leverage. You've just proven you can't be trusted. Now there is no possible thing you can tell me that will make me think Avril will get out of this with an injury if I walk away. Simple reason, your life will be over.

Have you thought about what will happen if she's harmed? There'll be an inquiry for one, I'm guessing you were sloppy catching her because I'm sorry but Jason you were always sloppy. Now either the police catch you or you do what you've done previously and run off and ask for a favour to make it all go away. THey'll say sure and those debts of your will just keep getting higher.

Don't try me Jason, you are not getting my blood unless that man over there helps you get it and then there will be two corpses in this copse and niether of them will be me or mine. Leave Avril and leave here and I won't ruin you further then you've ruined yourself.

>>25940566

Problem. Jason owes supernatural debts. Presumably, even if we sex him (which means we have to keep doing it, BTW) he'll still need to collect, or it's real skin off his nose. We basically have to be a bigger bad than his loan shark (who is a literal shark for all we know), otherwise, he has no incentive to stop.

I think a twofold, "Dude, Avril's got scary connections that'll haunt your ass forever and a day" and "RIGHT NOW, I'm going to beat the shit out of you" will probably make him reconsider.

I mean, y'all can do the Harry Dresden thing and start racking up the supernatural mortgage from the bad-man bank but I figured we'd exhaust all other options before that.

>>
>>25940429
I have a question. When Avril said "I'm yours, I.. promise. Even if you're not mine." does that mean that she is now bound by a fae promise to be ours?

If yes, we don't need to worry that much about Isabella getting her.
>>
>>25940634
"And if you kill her, then what? I walk, and you still don't get what you need. I won't have to kick your spleen through your spine myself, because nothing I can do to you would be worse than what you've got coming from the guys who'll come looking for her."
>>
You have no idea just how badly you screwed up, do you? We used to be friends, so I'll give you some advice. No matter how bad your debt is, enraging Avril's parent's will be much, much worse for you.
>>
>>25940763
Not all Fae promises work exactly the same! Some are extremely difficult to break, some just punish you heavily for breaking them. And you're still not sure whether Isabella's magic or Fae magic is stronger. That's not something you've tested out yet.
>>
>>25940429

I thikn you should be a bit more explicit when the characters are being lewd with each other. No need for a full scene, but details are welcome. Kinda like how you describe Chris noticing Avril's without paneties and can see her pubes, but instead, when they are being playful with each other.
>>
>>25940810
That would be an actual good thing. We could talk to Isabella and say that we want to do a little game with her. Then we choose some random girl/boy, make Avril get him/her to promise to be hers, we try to take him/her away from her and Isabella tries the same.

That way we can know which one of us is the strongest.

Different anon, but what I'd like is little sexy hints, like describing how we can see her lack of panties, how skintight her dress is, how a characters breasts look through her clothing, little bits of sexual contact, like brushing someone's thighs or breasts or someone briefly touching us.

I liked the way the sex was implied with Jason at the party: he has a girl between his legs one sentence, he's zipping up the next. Nothing explicit, but enough to point the reader's imagination.

Excellent! A little amping up would be lovely.

You could also use it in the lead up to fade-to-blacks. Like instead of just mentioning that we have sex with Avril, talk about pushing her against a tree and lifting her dress, and cut off there. That way there's more hints at sex than just saying it happens, and there's a scene that a pastebin can continue from directly if you do write one.
