@GhostAdjutant

You were a ghost operative of the Terran Dominion, under Emperor Arcturus Mengsk. Your Codename is Delta Phoenix. You received a transmission from Korhal. "The Emperor is Dead. Long live the Emperor. "

It seems like a lifetime since the fall of Korhal disabled your neural inhibitor and you went rogue. With the help of a rogue Dominion Marine, Jacob Henderson, you and your small crew secured a Gorgon-Class battlecruiser you now call The Daluke. The Dominion, bounty hunters, and criminal scum alike are all after you with a massive 1.5 billion credit bounty on your head. But they're going to have to earn it, first.

A Dominion fleet is destroying Murric. You successfully set the D.S.S. Phoenix's reactors to go critical and made your escape in one of the battlecruiser's drop pods. The rest of Phoenix Squad is chasing after you, and you'll either have to escape or kill them planetside.

Adjutant A.I. online.
Brace for impact, Commander.

Your drop pod hits the ground at bone-shattering speed, but you're protected within it's casing. The doors pop off and reveal the bruning red skies of Murric. You're in one of the planet's small towns. In the distance you hear the familiar roar of autocannons. You step out of the pod and into cover. Many of the buildings around you appear to have been damaged by air strikes, and several damage civilian vehicles litter the roadways.

>"Adjutant, how long until Evac?"
>"All other forces are currently engaged with the enemy at this time, Delta Phoenix. I am detecting Murric Defense Forces to the Northwest of your position."

You briefly consider grouping up with them until Evac can arrive, but are cut off by the unmistakeable thunderous crack of a C-10 hitting someone in the head. One of Phoenix team made planetfall nearby and they're picking off the MDF troops.

>Detecting Unanimous Consensus.

You move towards the sound, careful to remain in cover even with your stealth on. You come upon a crossroads, open and clear of cover. A single wounded marine lies in the center, the rest of his squad has taken cover behind a building on the far side.

Another shot rings out and strikes the wounded marine, who cries out in pain. He calls for his squad to help him. He doesn't realize he's bait.

The squad takes the bait. Several of them move up to fire at a building, The other two run up to try and haul the wounded marine out.

They're all dead in under five seconds. Something feels extremely familiar about this sniper.

>Move up through cover. Get a better view, try to outflank your target.

You move through cover carefully, watching for your opponent's position. You don't hear a single shot go off, and manage to spot your target on a fifth floor window. She has no idea you're there, yet, and you're close enough to take the shot.

You decide that knowing your enemies at this point is too valuable, and head to the building's interior. You notice several recluse mines on the way up and are able to disable them silently. She won't be expecting you at all. You sneak up behind the target and knock her from the window. With your quick reflexes you catch her by her combat-computer wrist. You pull it off with her free hand. She's smaller than you, so she can't reach you with the odd punches she's throwing. Her grip isn't able to pry your hand free, either. You access the computer for her mission profile.

We shouldn't be so lenient, the only reason we were able to go rogue and seek freedom is because the prototype loyalty module in us broke. You pistol whip her, then pull her back into the room. You bind her before removing her equipment and leaving her unconscious.

Your HUD registers a nearby MDF patrol. You activate your stealth reactor and make for the roof. You jump from building to building stealthily, avoiding several banshee patrols, before you spy a marine squad heading down a narrow road. Several skulls are impaled on pikes fashioned from crude scrap metal. The marine squad slows down as they approach, and raise their weapons.

You move ahead to the next building for a better view. They pass a few piles of burning bodies. Before you can even attempt to signal them, a single ghost pops out from under the pile of burning corpses and steps forward. This ghost is easily identified by his black trench-coat and dual-gauss rifles. He mows the marines down as they try to flee.

He looks up at you. He either knew you were there or had a lucky hunch. Either way, you feel like you recognize him.

You feel like he's very, very dangerous.

>"The Dominion has done terrible things, you can be free! You can come with me!"

Even tied down I feel like leaving Charlie to deal with the rest is just an invitation to return to find her escaped somehow. >"Alright, let's head for November first. We're going to need those transports."

You walk down one of the roads, past several crucified marines that are no doubt the handiwork of Whiskey. Eventually you come up on the MDF base. Just as you're about to deactivate your stealth reactor and approach, Whiskey holds out a hand to stop you.

Two dropships take off and make it about 40 feet before one of the MDF's own missile turrets turns on it and blows one of them out of the sky, then the other. Debris rains down in front of you, some of the cargo - luggage really - makes you think the transports were full of civilians.

>"God damnit! Dominion are still in the system!"

Eventually you reach one of the upper floors and November is sitting on a couch with a small computer set up on the Coffee table. You unholster your pistol and sneak up behind him, then put the gun to his head.

Based on current information, Echo is liable to kill the civies if Alpha goes dark.

You decide to pick up Charlie, first. Maybe with a couple rogue ghosts you'll be able to convince her as well. You make for the building where you knocked her unconscious, and it's a significant amount of backtracking.

As you make the trip you notice something very large enter the atmosphere. You recognize the hammerhead shape, it's a battlecruiser. Although too far out for you to identify any features, if you had to guess it's smaller and would be one of the Dominion ships. It breaks in half, and a large explosion nearly blinds you as it touches down on the planet's surface.

You land on the building's roof. Charlie is still unconscious where you left her. You load her into the transport and make for Echo's location.

You bypass the defenses without incident. You'll need to disable them before freeing any civilians, however.

You pass by several civilian holding cells, effectively chain-link boxes, on your way to the center of the base. Defense is fairly light, only a handful of marines and a few APC's without pilots. Eventually you come to the Landing Pad, with a large steel container with a marine positioned at each Corner. Echo Phoenix stands at the entrance to the crate.

As you approach it you can sense some sort of Psionic being inside. It's a familiar presence until you recognize what it is.

>"He has an infestor?"

The cage shakes violently and Echo jumps back with an audible "Crikey! That made 'er mad!"

>"Whiskey, November. See if you can lure Echo out of the base."

Whiskey disables his stealth reactor and walks up alongside Echo. You're still in earshot so you listen carefully.

>"Ain't she a beeeaut, Whiskey?"
>"Never much cared for Zerg."
>"Ain't so bad once you understand 'em, mate. Now, you ain't supposed to be here, so either you've got good news or you've got bad news."
>"Delta's alive. She's operating in your perimeter. I need you to back me up. Leave the marines, they'd just end up dead."
>"Let's get huntin', then."

The two men make for one of the buildings and you follow. Several stories up you hear a scuffle and hustle ahead. Echo managed to get Whiskey in a chokehold and has his gun to his head.

>"C'mon out, Delta!"

Mind control is extremely difficult and you do not have the required training to mind control a ghost operative who has training to resist you, Delta Phoenix.

>"Take up sniping positions. November, get inside their defense grid, have them start shooting at eachother."

You take up a spot and wait. Hopefully the Infestor doesn't get freed in the chaos.

The APC turrets open fire on the marines and you take that as your que. You take off a few heads before you notice the infestor crate was opened in an act of desperation.

You lob a hellfire grenade at the armored monstrosity, hoping to kill it before any damage is done, but the shot goes wide and lands in a civilian holding cell. Half a dozen people are bacon faster than you can redirect all squad fire on the infestor and take it down.

Why you decided to wait until the heat of battle to fire the grenade at it will probably haunt you for some time. You continue to fire over the screaming civilians.

You leave the building after the last marine on sensors reads dead. "November, Whiskey. Let the civilians out. Point them in the right direction... then meet me at the transport."

Sensors read 9 dead civilians as you pass by the cage. You try to ignore it.

Your last objective is Alpha Phoenix. Leader of the squad. He's at the head of a heavily entrenched position, and if the Dominion wasn't bad enough you're going to have to be careful of MDF airstrikes and artillery.

The transport flies silently, you suspect watching people die from something as horrible as a hellfire grenade might have something to do with it. Or the lingering possibility that Echo wasn't going to infest those civilians.

It's all in the past now, though. You need to choose an approach.

>Have Whiskey and November infiltrate the battle line and kidnap Alpha for interrogation.
>Have November disable security, causing the Dominion lines to collapse.
>>
>>25936491

Of course we recruit him. I want to ask November and Whiskey about Alpha, what he's like, what makes him tick, anything in particular we need to know to turn him.

Echo was just nuts for Zerg. I'd feel nervous with him on board honestly.
