You are Percius Aurex, Captain of a raider-class pirate vessel. Formerly the 14th son of a noble family, you fled that life in search of adventure and to escape your status as a political pawn. You've just completed an expedition into the forbidden system of Vectes, sending your men into a severed aft section of an Imperial cruiser. Good men lost their lives in an accident, and you decided to complete the few tasks you'd begun and head on to a planned meeting in a nearby system instead of lingering in the forbidden system.

Currently your ship is docked above the planet Folkvangr under an offer of truce, and you sit across from the Rogue Trader Alexander Kerr.
>>
"Keller, if I don't check in Elise is to get you all out of here. Understood?"

Your friend clearly dislikes the idea, but nods. "Yeah. Stick to the code."

Your walk is short through the humble station's interior, a well-dressed guide leading you to your destination. Stepping into the well-furnished chamber, you quickly spot your host in his fine jacket. You're clearly the better dressed, though, as his head is graced only with his hair instead of a fine work of art in the form of a hat. Ana and Tes pick out positions against the wall, flanking you in mirror of two unarmored bodyguards that flank Kerr.

"Welcome to Folkvangr, Captain Aurex. I am Alexander Kerr. We have much to talk about, as you seem to command Captain Menexel's ship. He served with my father, but first we have business to attend to. Personal questions shall have to wait, and I assure you that they will not result in any harm coming to you under my offer." You both take a seat, a woman entering the chamber slowly to open a bottle of booze and pour two glasses. "To the dead and the living. May they remain as such as He on Terra sees fit."

Toasting, you both settle in for negotiations. "Now then, you have two sisters to ransom, so I believe the first move is yours, sir."

Reposting:
Alright then. Let's call it tend bars of gold each, as a starting point that he might attempt to haggle down. IE 5 wealth each, I believe. That and information on the Nebula Sapphires.

And really, I'm hoping that this leads to us becoming contacts, if nothing more than trade. After all it's not like we intentionally stole something that was his, it's more like we found something and want a finders fee, if you will. So personally, I'd rather be paid in wealth, which we can, once this is all settled, trade for Meltas or what have you.

PQ back? When did this happen?
>>
>>26098367
About a month ago, though you haven't missed much. We've only just started our career of villainy.
>>
>>26098312

does anyone support or contradict this?
>>
>>26098312
I can agree with this. With any luck this could be the start of us having someone to trade any "valuable" items for things we normally can't get.
>>
>>26098280

Suggesting we request;

1 Cargo of Meltaguns
2 Cargos of Melta Fuel/Ammo
1 Cargo of Melta Bombs (negotiatable)
Information on the Nebula Sapphires.
>>
>>26098464
I have no particular complaints. I'm just glad we can be rid of the Sisters without having to kill them. I can't imagine it would be good for us to be caught imprisoning them.
>>
do you inform Kerr of Sister Jessira's condition?
>>
>>26098670
Probably best to let him know, voting yes. I still don't know what happened, she say one guy die in front of her and just... I mean, I figured SoB would have some kind of training to distance themselves from death and whatnot specifically to avoid this.
>>
>>26098670
Might as well. He's gonna find out soon enough, and things might go badly for us if we negotiate a price based on two sisters in good condition, and we deliver one who is insane.
>>
>>26098670
Might as well be honest about her condition.
>>
>>26098670
yes, better be honest if we want to deal with him later
>>
"I've no interest in haggling over persons I'm almost glad to have off my ship, Lord Kerr. Ten gold bars and some information on some goods I've acquired should suffice, though I feel obliged to mention that sister Jessira seems to have reacted poorly to the events of her capture. No physical harm came to her, but we've been forced to keep her sedated for both her safety and our own after she reacted poorly to the fight surrounding her capture."

Your host nods, his hands rotating outwards to reveal his palms. "Battle has the ability to do such things to even the strongest of us. You offer a fair deal, Captain Aurex. I do accept it." The man extends his hand, and you give it a firm shake to cement the deal like true men of your word. "Now then, what sort of good do you require information of?"

You place a large and small nebula sapphire upon the table, much to his apparent surprise. "I feel they're related enough to be considered one good, though I'm only vaguely aware of the details of these 'nebula sapphires' as it were."

"You certainly seem to come bearing some interesting things, Captain Aurex. If I may?" Kerr picks up the large gem after you give a nod of approval, studying it in detail as he continues speaking. "The Iron Monks have held these gems in quite a literal monopoly for some time, especially ones of quality and size such as this. They're in quite high demand out-sector, but there is a healthy market in-sector as well, mostly fueled by miners attempting to pay their way off planet with smaller ones they've picked up during work. Most of them get caught, but few are willing to be taken alive. I highly suggest you never allow the Iron Monks to take you alive."

Placing the gem back upon the table, he looks at you. "The Monks have been using them as currency of sort, and shuffling much of their physical wealth around recently. How many did you find, Captain?"

>Response?
>>
>>26099349
"Enough that I am glad to hear there is a market for them elsewhere, ideally outside the Iron Monk's usual reach. And thank you for the advice.

Now then, I will admit that this is my first rodeo, as it were. How would you suggest we make the trade of goods and people?"
>>
>>26099349
"Sufficient numbers to know better than to try to sell them all, yet few enough to keep well hidden."

"Now, on to other business matters, shall we cover this deal with a more legitimate one?"
>>
>>26099349
"Crates full of them, but if only I found someone willing to trade for some of them.
>>
>>26099514
>>26099643

Kerr smiles. "A very diplomatic answer. The larger ones may fetch close to a gold bar each to the right buyer, but don't expect any sort of bulk sale at such prices. The smaller ones," the man quietly picks up the smaller gem, holding it up to one of the lights above. "Harder to say, they may be worth up to a thousand thrones or so, if this is a good example of your stock." Carefully returning the gem to the table, he takes another sip of his drink. "As for this being your first rodeo, I'm quite glad to hear that you're not a slaver. Such scum often prey upon pilgrims. I'd suggest turning sister Jessira over to our care immediately while I send some men for your payment. You may hold sister Laurent until you are ready to depart, and we'll make the final exchange."

"Sounds reasonable enough" Taking another sip of your own drink, you make a minor adjustment to your hat's pitch. "Shall we cover this deal with a more legitimate one?"

"I suppose the story of just how you came into possession of Captain Menexel's vessel can wait, if there is business involved. What do you have in mind?"

>Orders?
>>
>>26100242
Well I'm good with that. As for what to trade for, well, I'll let other /tg/ goers deal with that.
>>
Trade items that immediately come to mind [may be incomplete]:
Aquila Lander x1
Aquila Lander wreck x1
Shuttle wreck x2 [unknown, localized model]
Arvus Lighter x6 [4 from your ship, 2 from wreck]
Large Nebula Sapphires [2 medium containers. Contraband]
Small Nebula Sapphires [6 medium, 3 small containers. Contraband]
>anything you can remember or find on wiki that you wish to sell
>anything that you wish to attempt to purchase

Current wealth: 21 [+80 in Rainy Day stash]
>>
offer up one small nebula sapphires container
>>
>>26100476
I know someone earlier had said something about wanting melta guns & Ammo along with Melta bombs, but seeing as we have a few shuttles and a Aquila Lander that are kinda wrecks at the moment why not try to get any parts that our techpriests might need to help get them operational. Also, don't forget to ask if she has found any sort of interesting hats.
>>
And I believe someone wanted to get some items in exchange as well, last thread?
>>
>>26100476
I'm sure we can use the smaller Nebula Sapphires to help pay for anything we want to get our hands on.

Faceless posted such a list

things we want;
-Plasma Cutters
-Heavy Excavation Equipment (preferably suited to use in the Void)
>you'd be looking at a ship component or terrestrial gear that your raider can't carry or deploy
-Meltaguns (1 cargo)
-Meltagun Fuel/Ammunition (lots)
>you'd purchase such ammo by 'deployment' increments
-Ammunition for current armsman weaponry.
>this one is pointless due 'whywoulditrackthat'
-Voidsuits (Combat and Non-Combat variants)
-Standard rations (2-3 months worth - Crew)
>You automatically buy them via the crew cut of loot when visiting stations with them available
-Luxury rations (2-3 months worth - Officers)
>might boost morale when used
-Portable Generators?
-A Half Dozen Long Range VoxCasters
>>
>>26100886
Agree on asking for small craft parts. Some luxury rations would also be nice.
>>
>>26101159

Also, don't forget to ask about hats.

Okay, how about we sell off the Shuttles and have it help pay for the Aquila Lander parts.

Take at least one cargo worth of Melta Gun Ammo as I remember Ana was able to recover one.
And I would say one cargo work of Luxury rations.

Military hats are always nice! Of course that would require a personal inspection.
>>
>>26102134
Whoa whoa whoa sir. Time to use that fellowship and try to bargain some prices down or maybe access to those melta guns.
>>
>>26102134

Anyone else?
