Are you tired of Civquest threads? TOO BAD! It is time-place for skaven civ!

First three votes decide location and name. Yes-yes.

Will prepare somethings, for you good-clever skavens.

Beware, you must be devious, for you are a skaven, and you do not have strength of arms. You must be wary, for you can trust no one, not even another skaven. You must be mad, for only the mad-clever live-rule amongst the skaven.
>>
>>26179369
Lets do this!
>>
You are a plague-monk, a great Lowbishop of your infernal order, who worship the great horned rat. You command many skaven, most of them dumb-meat slaves who are worth less than the meat they are made of. But there are some who are smarter. You command two hundred clanrats in addition to several hundred teeming slaves. Leading these clanrats is the treacherous (what skaven is not treacherous? A foolish one) lesser warlord who has joined your retinue to curry favor with the horned rat. His name is Clawnsnatch and likes to get closer to his foes than most other skaven would find sane. You also have a handful of eshin assassins sneaking about, though you don't know where they are and can't command them directly. Finally, five mighty rat-ogres serve you personally, freshly purchased from the beastmasters of Skavenblight.

What is your name Lowbishop, and where does your infernal band reside?
>>
>>26179475
Lowbishop, obviously. Idiot no-think.

Of RotTree.
>>
>>26179369
Location: Swamp
Tribe Name: Fang Gnasher
Plague Monk Name: Detritus Rotfang
>>
>>26179532
Storyteller is tired of waiting. Your title is your name! You forsook your old-dirty name when you killed your master and became the next Lowbishop of Rotree. Where is Rotree little-clever pups? Is it below the roots of an elven tree? Is it beneath a human city-place? Or perhaps somewhere else, somewhere more savage and dirty

Tell-tell this one and he shall make it so
>>
>>26179541
Sounds goos
>>
>>26179541
Ah, it seems we have someone else now-here. This one like this, but needs more. Must decide, cannot force anything other than swift death if you are dumb-stupid
>>
>>26179562
Old book-palace. Is not..Is not Rot-Tree, is rot-tree, like book-write, idiot no-think.
>>
>>26179562
Wait could we be in an under city? The ruins of a old city catacombs mostly underneath a human city?
>>
>>26179613
Sure, sounds good to me. Squeekskritch, can we change my vote to this?

Location: Sewer
Tribe Name: Fang Gnasher
Plague Monk Name: Detritus Rotfang
>>
>>26179634
Err, I meant undercity catacombs, not sewer. My bad.
>>
>>26179645
Right i understand it all sounds good to me. I would expect that humans dump their waste into our city anyway.
>>
NO MORE WAIT-TALK! You are The Lowbishop of Rottree, so named because you were born in Rottree, not because you live in Rottree.

You live in an old, abandoned libarary, far below a human city. This place was once elven city-place. Then it became dwarven city-place. Now it is human city-place, and human-meat think it founded city! Dumb humans, they do not even scurry and scrabble underground like proper folk.

Elven layer is all yours. Has many-lots mushrooms growing around in big farms. Skaven slaves eat mushrooms, and catch rats. Sometimes skaven steal food from surface, but that is dangerous and hard to do. You don't always need to eat, being a plague-monk. The Great Horned Rat has blessed you with immunity to many mortal concerns, such as hunger, disease, poison and most injury. However, you must beware, for holy magics can harm you gravely, and proximity to divine areas such as temples weakens your powers. In fact, that is why you are here, to destroy a group of paladins that is founding a new chapterhouse in the city above.

However, before you can proceeded to destroy chapterhouse-place, you must deal with the dwarven layer. It has many other things that are not skaven, like mutants, goblins and even a troll or two. You could sneak past, but it will be dangerous and you will lose slaves. What will you do Lowbishop?
>>
this one realised it must list actions available and statistics. This one will hurrry scurry while you decision-makers talk-plan
>>
>>26179645
We should cultivate a plague the less we actually fight the better.
>>
Choose three actions.

Your plagues cannot hurt the paladins. They are protected by their false-god. You must find another way.
>>
>>26179845
The humans may be subskaven beasts, but they do have a point with their paladins

We should make our own slimy-stink paladins, for the glory of the Horned Rat!
>>
>>26179845

A:Scavenge lost metal things
C: scout the dwarven layer
D: the lowbishop of rottree trains in magic
>>
>>26179886
Let's worship the Horned Rat and see what happens.

>>26179845
B. Worship
E. Train (Magic)
A. Scavenge for 'shrooms
>>
>>26179886
It is difficult to do that. Only one in ten-thousand skaven can survive the training to become a plague-monk, let alone wield significant powers of the Horned-Rat. However, the thought tickles you, as having more physicaly inclined servants for the Horned Rat to aid you does sound appealing. And they'd be loyal too, as no skaven outside the plague-order is.

Do you wish this? It can be started, but will take time. What else do you wish, great Lowbishop?
>>
Current decisions are
>Train in your plague-magiks

Competing for two more spots are
>Scavenge food
>scavenge metal
>Worship
>scouting dwarf layer

What do skaven-blood?
>>
>>26179845
Hold a tournament amongst your warriors to find the fittest, toughest, and vilest skaven in your domain. Then train him as a great general.
>>
>>26179945
DO NOT ASK-QUESTION ME, LOW-LOWBISHOP SQUEKSKRITCH
>>
>>26179845

>A: Hunt for food

>C: scout around our immediate area we dont want a nasty surprise

>H: look for ways to infuse our chosen with the Horned rats blessings.
>>
>>26179975
>scavange food
>scavenge metal things
>>
>>26180006
You already know who that is. It is Clawsnatch. He is a lesser warlord, from a small clan. He hopes aiding you will bring his clan prestige and power, but you don't think he's going so far as to be "your" general, nor would he be willing to become a "paladin" for you.

Still, this idea has merit. It could give you canidates to make your "anti-paladins"

DECISIONS HAVE BEEN MADE!

>Train magics
>Scavenge food
>Scavenge metal

UPDATE WILL COME SOON-SOON!
>>
we breed pretty well. we should get our numbers up a bit more, get more food, then venture onto dwarfmeat level
>>
You retreat to your lair, a slimy, moist place where sewage from above runs down into the catacombs. Sipping some fine mush that is made from rotted dwarf-meat and some human alcohol-drink, you pour over your innumerable tomes, and discover a new spell. It grants some of the blessing of the horned rat over other skaven, protecting them from harm with pustules, bone growths and gives their bites, scratches and weapons poison. You like this, yes-yes. Is very good. But it does not last long. Only twenty minutes. Not enough for a full battle. This is because you have just found this "Blasted Blessing" More training will extend its length and increase its strength

Your slaves find many-many food things and metal bits. Your clanrats, well, Clawnsnatchs clanrats, now each have at least a dagger, and many have rusting swords, axes and spears. You also have a small pile of other metal things left over. They are too soft-weak to be used as weapons or armor, but they are yellow and shiny bright. Other races like this right?

You have chosen BREEDING!

UPDATE IS WORKING

whos going to get infront?

>>26180340
not so bad, considering these bitches should be having litters
>>
You convince Clawsnatch to hold a tournament. Clanrats will practice with new weapons. Top ten clanrats will have the chance to be "blessed" by you. They are pleased to be blessed, but the Blasted Blessing does not last long, but lasted longer than you had expected. You think it was the devotion and strong bodies of these skaven, for it lasted fifty minutes!

Scouts explore dwarf layer, find five groups of goblins, some human squatters, and a dead dwarf. Your scouts eat the dwafs remains, and return, telling you there is a great war in the dwarf layer. A troll has taken control of one of the goblin gangs, and is calling itself "The Next Big Papa" and is trying to conquer the rest of the layer.

Your slaves breed furiously, and soon fifty females are pregnant. They will give birth in two turns, and their children ready one turn after that.
>>
>>26180340
Our doom-bell is rolling death-knells through the Under-Empire! One in every thirteen of the skavenslaves should be sacrificed to the Great Horned One!

>>
>>26180653
yey :D.
>>
You lead all the skaven in worship of the horned rat, and in doing so you feel your powers grow temporarily. You cast Blasted Blessing on the ten champions, though most of the effects recede, they retain some small bone growths that protect them, and their drool is now slightly poisonous, and if slathered on their blades may be very dangerous. They now call themselves the Squalid Slayers.

The Eshin do their work excellently. The humans retaliate for the death of an important merchant, and kill three goblins groups. However, one of the two remaning groups is that of the troll, and he has absorbed the other tribe. Goblins are stronger than skaven, though not by much.

You scavenge much food, and it will be enough for a while, even with more skaven on the way. Once dwarf layer is secure, you could maybe make farm.

What do you wish to do skavenmeat? You could find a way to deal with the troll, try to just claim enough of dwarf-level to secure passage to surface, work on your magic, work on your new Squalid Slayers, or something else

>Tip: Rat-ogres might be useful against the troll, but he is a big and old guy, so he might be able to take down two or three rat-ogres before going down. Rat-ogres are expensive, and not cowardly or treacherous.

Warp-fire? That is the realm of the grey seers. It would anger all of the grey-seers if you tried using warp-fire. Acid, that might be possible. But pursuing that will delay developing your new squalid slayers. What will you do clever-rats?
>>
>>26181185
This is possible, but may attract permanent human presence in the catacombs. Maybe even the paladins. You are not eager to face the paladins directly in battle. You, like any good skaven, would prefer your enemy die without you having to raise a single claw, let alone be in danger.

Poisoning all skaven is terrible idea. Will only make them angry. And you must choose between acid and blasted blessing research.

>>26181313
You cannot train assassins. That is the special domain of Clan Eshin. If you were to try to cut them out of any such sneaky things, they would be angry. Angry enough to send someone that not even your plague-magics can stop.

Too late slow-meat. Slow skaven are dead skaven

Returning to your lair, you pour over more tomes, deciding that Blasted Blessing can wait. Your Squalid Slayers take position outside your little alcove, completely loyal to you now. Clawsnatch no like that. In your research you learn of acid magic. You remember practicing that once, when you had to fight on the front lines for your old master, the old Lowbishop. With ease you recall it, and now have another spell in your repetoir. Of course, your memory was helped greatly by leading another bout of worship of the Horned Rat.

The eshin assassins strike again, and now all the goblins and the troll are dead, slain by humans, but the humans have taken steps to secure some of the dwarf layer. forty men regularly patrol the northwestern quarter, keeping that area locked down. It is also the place that has easiest access to the surface. If you controlled that area, you would be able to make use of your rat-ogres and deploy your force more quickly if you wished for a direct attack on the surface. It will also be difficult to set up mushroom farms if you wish to remain completely beneath the notice of the humans.
