One year and eight months ago, you were a Magical Girl.

Your mission: to escort Malal, the Warmaster's Equerry, as she

delivers a modified Culexus Hardsuit to the Eighth Officio in Santa Destroy,

California, United States of America.

Before that, though, there's a fourteen-hour flight you have to sit through - and you're doing that now, trapped in between the Culexus herself and Kirika Kure, the Eversor Rank Leader and your immediate superior. The former is messing about her tablet, as she's wont to do.

Kirika is enjoying the beverage cart each time it passes by, already building up quite a collection of empty single shot bottles on her pull-down tray. She's slapped the beverage cart girl and the stewardesses two times each on the ass already, and you've had to apologize to them personally about it. And it's only been two hours since takeoff.

Things like this tend to color your attitude.
>>
>>26285463

You've never been to America before. In fact, this might be the first time you're heading so far out overseas.

This isn't exactly something you've been looking forward to, if you'll be honest. Sure, you accepted the mission with a smile and a salute, and you didn't flinch when Kirika slapped your ass and told you to make sure Malal doesn't get lynched by the American Officio's clinically-insane, hamburger-huffing nutcases - but it's not something you'll be too eager to have displayed in your record.

You've always dreaded interacting with other Magical Girls not part of your Officio. Moreso when they were...well, foreign.

Casual xenophobia aside, it's because you don't think foreign magical girls take being a magical girl seriously enough.

And being a Magical Girl is one of the most serious, if not THE most serious thing anyone can be.

It's not...it's not all sparkles and shiny transformation sequences. It's not all about the power of love and friendship and hugging being able to solve EVERYTHING.

Sometimes, sure. You'll accept that sometimes, all you need is a sense for diplomacy, a quick wit and being able to compromise.

You don't have those. What you do have is the ability to cut through plate steel with a sword you can manifest in the time it takes you to think about it. What you do have is the ability to be able to throw a sword hard enough that it can punch through three yakuza and nick the ear of the hostage they were just about to rape. What you do have is a sick regenerative ability that lets you do the Piccolo thing when you're angry enough.

And you've put all of those to becoming the only Eversor that Kirika Kure herself decided to take up as her own prodigy. THE Kirika Kure.

So yes, you take being a Magical Girl seriously.

And anyone else who doesn't should simply go fuck themselves and die in a fire.

[1/2]
>>
>>26285470

There's not much to talk about your career, besides how seriously you've taken everything about it.

You took your training seriously, to the point that you've graduated at the top of your class, even with Kirika Kure herself doing everything possible to drag you down (including setting two teams of Vindicares to target you during an obstacle course, using live ammunition).

You've taken each and every mission you've been given or volunteered for seriously.

Not a single mission failure ever since you've gotten into active duty, and a 100% kill ratio. Except for that one time that...well, you were asked to kill a perfectly-innocent civilian who just happened to see you. It's a black mark on your record, but you don't count it.

People often tell you to tone it down a bit, take it down a notch or two.

Chilling out every now and then wouldn't kill you, they'd advised.

It's hard to be polite sometimes, but you've managed to put the point across that you didn't get to where you are today by 'chilling out'. You didn't become the Rank Leader's prodigy by 'taking it down a notch'. You're not about to take it lightly just because your boss is a fucking mutant cat, or...or because some amnesiac little bitch shot said boss and sprayed you with his fucking innards.

...No matter how much shampoo you used you could still smell melted marshmallow on your hair HOLY SHIT YOU ARE SO MAD RIGHT NOW. You even woke up earlier today with a half-asleep Kyoko chewing on your hair, for fuck's sake.

Ngh. You shouldn't be here. You should be back home, guarding Girl A.

Who knows what she'll do to Mami and Kyoko once she wakes up again? Once she gets another gun in her hands from...from God knows where?

[2/3]
>>
>>26285494

You glance at your smartphone. You've called Kyoko three times already. All three times she'd told you that everything's okay, with Girl A still comatose, Mami staying by her bedside. She'd also told you to bring back something neat. A cowboy hat, or something. You told her you'll try, but you're not sure if Americans even wear them anymore.

You can't shake off the feeling that Girl A is just bad news. Bad news for the Officio, bad news for everyone. Yes, Kyoko talked to you about not judging people right off the bat - even if they very nearly blew your head off and instead got your boss all over your hair. But ever since you dragged her comatose ass out of that Barrier - very nearly killing yourself and Mami in the process - you've been having dreams. Dreams of finding yourself in a large concert hall, full of empty seats. Towering over everyone with a horrendously large sword in your hand. Looking down at a tearful Girl A, a grenade in her hand.

She flickers out of existence before everything explodes around you, and...that's when you wake up, your head swimming, feeling as if you've been underwater for a while.

...Bah. You have to focus. You have to take this seriously.

What do you do now?

You decide to talk to Malal, the Warmaster's Equerry.

No, you're not really in talking terms with her or the rest of her overdressed, helmeted rankmates, but, well, you'd like to know more about this mission. It'd help you get up to speed on what to expect as soon as the plane touches down - as well as pass the time, if nothing else. You've got the best part of the flight to kill.

...It's not that the Culexus - or any other member of the rank itself - is hard to approach. No, they're legitimately nice people, not beholden to the hubris that seems to infect anyone who's just had her contract established and thus was told that she was now practically invincible and peerless (at least, to the rest of the world's population).

But it was the Culexus' abilities themselves - the ability to disrupt magic just by simply being in the same vicinity - that made pariahs out of them in the first place. They were the veritable nerds in the high school officio cafeteria. No one wanted to be around them, no one wanted them in their missions (although, strictly speaking, having one in your team all but guaranteed the best support and the best equipment available). It's not to be cruel, of course - but no one wants to hang around with someone that makes you feel like puking your guts out and shitting your pants at the same time.

Culexus Near-Proximity Sickness. That's what Kyuubey explained it away at first. A Culexus, without her suit activated to blunt and focus her abilities, would make any Magical Girl around her react in a...violently messy way, before becoming completely and utterly incapacitated. Normal, mundane folk would simply feel uncomfortable, or oddly aggressive against the Culexus herself.

[1/2]
>>
>>26286000
Decu doesn't really hold to his own time limit except for big breakpoints or writeins.
>>
>>26286061

With the suit on and activated, this effect would of course be countered, but...as you personally found out, its efficacy is quite varied, differing from Magical Girl to Magical Girl. For some it blocked out the effects completely, while in others it simply reduced it to a tolerable sense of nausea. To you, well - if the Culexus sitting beside you had her hardsuit's setting set to anything less than its maximum blocking capability, then you'd be ruining the blouse you're wearing with the pancakes you had for breakfast earlier.
Well, you're not making a mess of yourself now, so Malal must have been considerate enough to do that without you asking.

Still, it couldn't hurt to check.

You tap at her shoulderplate - a spiked metal pad with her trademark skull symbol imprinted on the molded surface. The Culexus makes a small noise in her helmet, and you see your face reflected on her visor as she turns to look at you.

"What, you're not going to call Kyoko again, Sayaka? It's only been thirty minutes since your last call." Her helmet's vox-speaker, digitizing her voice and robbing it of all warmth, makes her little joke sound like a future robot overlord mocking you. You hate that voice. "...You must be very bored to talk to me, though. Usually you're watching me from ten paces away, with the biggest frown on your face."

What? No. ...No, you don't do that. What's she talking about?

"...If you say you don't, you don't." Malal nods slightly, but even the amusement in her voice couldn't be erased by her vox speaker completely. "Well, what do you want to talk about? Probably about the mission or something, right? Ask away." A moment. "Oh, you're probably wondering about my suit, huh? Don't worry, I'm not going to make you blow chunks all over the stewardess."

...Y-yeah.

Beside you, Kirika lets out a lofty chuckle. "Ha-ha! ....Blow!"

What do you ask Malal?

"Diligent as always, huh, Sayaka?" Malal chuckles, before nodding once more. "Well, it's not exactly classified, so I suppose telling you about it isn't going to hurt anyone." She taps at her tablet, and turns it towards you. Showing you a picture of a...rather sickly-looking girl in a bloody, grimy hospital gown, her white hair unruly and disheveled. The picture's grainy, as if it'd been taken with an old-fashioned film camera and someone fucked up the job of developing it.

"Sabrina Blackburn. The Eighth contracted her some time ago, they're not really too clear on that. But what is clear is that her Wish turned her into a biological hazard." A horizontal swipe of a gloved finger on the screen, and the next image makes you wince and turn away - it's a picture of the same girl, standing in the middle of a...well, there are just a lot of decomposing corpses in the shot, with most of the corpses wearing SWAT gear. "Melts and decomposes biological matter just by being around it. Anything - wood, paper, even human flesh, just starts to rot in her presence. And it's not something that she can control - it's just what happens. She doesn't even need to be transformed to do it."

Another swipe, this time showing the girl huddled in the corner of a rusted prison cell, with the bars all eaten through. "They tried locking her away while they figured out what to do. As it turns out, get her anxious enough and she can make metal rust into powder in no time flat, too." It's here that you detect a hint of melancholy in the Culexus' voice. "The Eighth threw her into a Silent Room afterwards. ...She's been locked away inside it for more than a year."

An entire year? More than that, even? You couldn't even stay in the same room for an hour.

[1/2]
>>
>>26286720

"Yes, well, you can imagine how she feels, right?" You could her the smirk in Malal's voice. "I got in touch with one of their Eversors - one of them seems to be smart enough to figure out that you can't solve everything just by shoving ." Kirika laughs at this, chuckling 'Fuck you, Malal' into her drink.

"We decided that since Sabrina's powers work the same way as a Culexus does, then a hardsuit would probably work. After a few modifications, and all." She turns the tablet's screen back to her, tapping a few times. "Don't worry, it's not anything experimental. Nothing that could blow up in our faces or anything like that. And we'll be doing it inside the Silent Room where she's in, so if it doesn't work..." She shrugs. "It doesn't work. No one gets reduced to mush."

Well, why does she have to be the one to bring it over? Certainly this could've been done by anyone else in the Officio--

"I designed the Culexus Hardsuit," Malal says patiently. "Well, with some help from R&D. But I know the design in and out, and I can help out a lot in making sure the mods work." Another vox-corrupted chuckle. "And before you ask, yes, this is sort of us trying to establish relations with another Officio. A first meeting on friendly terms."

...Shouldn't the Warmaster be here, then? Is Kharn slacking off again?

"Did YOU think Kharn didn't want to tag along?" Malal tilts her helmet towards you. "She was livid when I told her that she couldn't go. Sulked in her office the entire week. I had to do the daily inspections myself!"

But...but why--

"The Eighth Warmaster and her Equerry are blonde," The Culexus states flatly.

Ah. Well.

That's...yes.

God dammit, Kharn.

[2/3]
>>
>>26286727

"This shouldn't take all that long, though." Malal shrugs as she places her tablet on her pull-down tray. "Probably two days, tops. We'll be back before you can even start missing Kyoko."

...That's...that's good news, but you weren't thinking of--

"If you say you're not, you're not. I'm just saying it as a point of reference."

Right. Okay.

"Save your breath, Mal," Kirika giggles. "Miki's got it hard for Sakura, although I can't fucking discern WHY. She's already missed her the moment they had to kiss each other goodbye." She cackles at this, the scent of alcohol strong in her breath.

N-no, no. That's... You feel your cheeks heat up, and you inwardly grimace at how Kirika's doing this kind of shit again: a kind of humiliating ribbing that could only be inflicted on a junior by a particularly sadistic senior. And she's done this to you many times, already - from having you challenge other Eversors from other Officios to a sparring match, to running errands that would make a lesser Eversor just break their own Soul Gem underfoot.

You still haven't forgotten the time when Kirika had you slap Mami on her bottom, completely out of the blue.

Someday, you'll pay her back for it. All of it. Someday.

You were waiting for Malal to get her cackles in, but all you got was another stare, before turning back to her tablet.

"Must be nice to be missed by someone," You hear her vox-speaker crackle. "Everyone should have someone that misses them when they're away."

. . .

Well. At least you know why you're on this milk run.

What do you do now?

[]Ask Malal something else.
[]Let Malal do her work. Ask Kirika something.

You turn to Malal again. If she invented the suit, then...what'd Culexus do before that?

"You're still talking to me?" Malal seems to be surprised, here, before chuckling as she shakes her head. "Well, let's see. From what I remember from Kyuubey, they ended up as isolated agents. Solo missions only - no one could last long enough around them to actually work together." It's here that she looks down at her own gloved hands, resting on top of her tablet. "...Some girls couldn't take it anymore and just did away with them the old-fashioned way. Retired them even without the notice. Others, well, they retired themselves. Couldn't handle the fact that their wish made them into something that made people around them sick enough to hate them."

A moment of silence, before Malal turns to look at you, once more. "They didn't last very long, is what I'm trying to get at. Even those who isolated themselves from others became prime targets for normal folk, you know? Yakuza and such can't get affected. They don't see a Magical Girl, they just see someone in a costume and somehow she makes them really, really angry. Guess what they do to her when she runs out of ammo?"

. . .

"Exactly." Malal shrugs. "Soon after I made the prototype, we offered to distribute it to other Officios. Kyuubey put a price tag on it, shrewd little bastard. Of course we got a lot of offers, despite being marked up to hell and back." She taps the piece of tough-looking luggage under her seat. "Resting my ass on ten million yen of cutting edge technology and premium grade leather, here."

Ten million yen, huh. That's...kind of expensive, isn't it?

[1/2]
>>
>>26287200

"Only for those who can afford it," Malal grins. "Kyuubey lets me hand over a few suits for free, from time to time. Special cases only. Other officios can afford the price tag easily enough." She shakes her head. "No one needs to suffer like those girls did. Not anymore."

You can't help but think that you're digging too deep, here, so you try to change the subject.

What does she think about Girl A?

"What do I think about Girl A?" Malal echoes you, her helmet's vox speaker crackling. "Well, now. I was wondering when you'd ask about her." She drums her fingers on her tablet's ruggedized casing. "Hmm. Where to begin? There's so much to talk about her that I suddenly don't know how to put it across..."

She can start with her opinion of her, anyway.

"Hah. Well." Malal chuckles. "I...well, I think she's a strange case. No Officio's owned up to her. She's not in our registry, Kyuubey swears up and down that no Incubator on the planet's contracted her...and you found her in a Barrier of a Witch that should, by rights, should have had her for a snack even before you got there." She nods to herself. "She's someone special, this Girl A. It'd be good for us to find out who she is and where she came from - and get her to join us."

But what if she turns out to be a spy? Inter-Officio spies aren't unheard of, and she could be one of them.

"...If she is, she used one hell of a cover." The Culexus laughs, as if finding the entire thing funny.

You don't find it funny at all.

"I know you don't," The helmeted girl replies. "But I've got a good feeling about her." She taps the side of her helmet's visor. "As long as she doesn't try anything stupid, we'll treat her as a rescued POW, not a prisoner."

But what about the thing with Kyuubey--

"Reflex, probably. Trauma. It's obvious." Malal shrugs. "She wasn't aiming right at you, she was aiming at Kyuubey. I'm apologizing to you at her behalf. Just...be more careful, next time."

"Sayaka-chan's just angry she got Kyuubeykakke'd," Kirika giggles beside you, her glass of whisky sloshing about in her hand. "Was it hard to wash out of your hair? It was, wasn't it?"

...Yes. Yes it was.

"Aww. Poor thing." She shoves the glass of whisky in your hand - it's half-full. "Here, drink this. You'll feel better." The raven-haired Eversor grins lewdly at you. "And that's an ORDER."

You look down at the solitary ice cube swimming in the strong-smelling glass of dark amber liquid.

...Urgh. You're...you're not a drinker. Sure, you can understand why Magical Girls, more often than not, turned to the drink to try and forget what they've done and seen on the job - but you could never understand why they'd get into the stuff like salarymen, drinking enough to necessitate being carried out by their friends before they made a scene. Drinking enough that they'd turn up the next day late, weary and hungover, unable to explain to you with a straight face why exactly they felt to do such a thing to themselves.

"Stop bullying Sayaka, Kirika," Malal says, but if anything, that only made the Eversor beside you smile even wider.

"What? Bullying? Perish the thought, Equerry!" Kirika scoffs, here. "I'm just trying to get Sayaka to relax, that's all. And the quickest way to do that is to get a few shots inside her. Right, Sayaka-chan?" You feel her elbow dig into your side. "Your sempai's got your best interests in mind, right?"

...Right. You shoot Kirika a dirty look, before jerking away from her elbow and downing the shot in one sharp gulp. Even the half-melted ice cube, which you hastily crunch on the way down.

Khh. This is why you don't drink. No matter what you do, it always tastes like gasoline. Burning your throat all the way through, to settle with a painful warmth at the pit of your stomach.

You manage not to cough the rest of it out as you hack and wheeze and try to breathe through a scorched throat. Kirika cackles here, slapping her tray and making the empty one-shot bottles rattle and clink, while Malal herself only shakes her head.

Handing back the glass to Kirika - who immediately refills it and knocks it back, grinning all the while, a grin you staunchly ignore - it's here that you resume your conversation with the Culexus.

Do Iori and Midori at the same time. Then tell Ruri who Green Green is and do Midori again. Then Chiaki can HOLD HANDS with Midori
>>
>>26287855

Doesn't she think that the Warmaster misses her? Even in her own twisted way?

"...She only misses me because I'm the only one she can boss around without feeling bad," Malal chuckles from behind her helmet. "Anyway, that's neither here or there. I'm not lonely, if that's what you're wondering." She nods, more to herself than to you. "...Yeah. Not lonely at all."

If she says she's not, she's not.

"Hah!" Malal snorts at this reversal, before flipping her tablet back up into her gloved hands. Resuming whatever she was doing before you started talking to her.

Awkward silence aside, you've learned a lot, now. You don't have anything else to talk about with the Culexus.

What do you do now?

"Kirika, why are you such a huge bitch?"

You decide and settle back and sleep away the best part of the plane ride. It's easy enough to do so - one of the things an Eversor first learns is to be able to fall asleep on demand, whenever and wherever she is. Sure, a Magical Girl can potentially be on active duty for an entire week without sleep, but the human body can only be pushed for so long. Stretch yourself thin enough and you start making mistakes, mistakes that could cost you everything in no time at all. Sleep is important, and Eversors are taught to be able to catch it whenever they can.

...If you'll be honest, though? That glassful of whisky you just downed is going to make it easier to do so. You're...a bit woozy at the moment. Better to just sleep it off than meet the Eighth Warmaster tipsy and unreliable. Less chance of you making an embarrassment of the Ninth, either.

You turn to tell Kirika that you'll be catching some shuteye - only to find that she's already doing the same, snoring rather loudly and making the baby across the aisle wake up and cry. You shake your head at this, and tell Malal instead, who seems to be playing some sort of game on her tablet.

"Go ahead. We've still got a way to go, anyway." Her helmet reflects your slightly-flushed face. "I'll wake you up when we're there. I'll make sure Kirika doesn't do anything funny, either."

That's...yeah. You thank her, before leaning back on your chair and closing your eyes.

Hopefully, you won't get that dream again.

Goddamn Girl A and the way she worms into other people's dreams.

keep it outside the trigger guard (like it is currently, along the side of the gun) and all is good, trigger discipline is pretty much the first thing you teach someone learning to shoot, and seeing as Chiaki does love to shoot, one would hope she has a healthy appreciation of the 4 fundamentals (or I will murder Decu)

. . .

True to Malal's prediction, you did sleep through the entire flight, which is a bit disturbing in its own right. You woke up to her gently shaking your shoulder, and you very nearly screamed as the very first thing you saw upon opening your eyes was her skulled helmet. You managed to stop yourself, then, and with Kirika giggling for some reason, the three of you filed out of the plane along with the rest of its passengers.

Getting out of the airport was easy enough - a flash of something that came from Malal's wallet had the airport authorities ushering you through the gates, no questions asked. You didn't even have to pull out your passport.

"Where's our contact, then?" Kirika asks as you hurry to catch up with them - your sempai having loaded you down with her own luggage. She'd also volunteered you to carry the hardsuit - and it is the heaviest thing you've ever carried. Seriously, you're breathing hard as it is. "They're not expecting us to commute to their headquarters, are they?"

"They should be just around here, keep a look out." Malal replies, the harsh afternoon light glinting off of her visor as she looks around - and it's then that all three of you turn as you hear the purr of a well-maintained engine eating road, before braking to a stop on the airport driveway.

It's...well, it's a nice car. A rather ordinary-looking car, painted in complete black. Typical company car of any Officio, actually, used to mainly transport agents around. ...If anything, you felt a bit let down at this. Where's the American flag, painted in garish colors all over the hood? The ornaments? The bald eagles shrieking? The explosions?

The driver's door opens up, and someone climbs out. Someone wearing what looks like a traditional witch outfit - not Witch, that has to be made clear, but a witch, with the black vest, the poofy sleeves and the ankle-long skirt capped with boots.

The only thing missing is the wide-brimmed black hat with the crooked peak - which is, hilariously enough, replaced with a wide-brimmed cowboy hat, a star-shaped buckle with the word SHERIFF engraved on it glinting brightly on its flattened peak. You also spot the leather belt hanging loose on her hips, weighed down by the leather holster where an oversized, double-barreled pistol is sleeping in.

And blonde hair. Long, unruly blonde hair, reaching down to her waist, a lock of it braided carefully with crimson ribbon.

"You girls from the Ninth? From Japan? Come here to help out with Sab?" The girl says in English enthusiastically, a wide, open grin on her face that reminded you immediately of Kyoko. You understand her well enough, but her accent is almost impenetrable, making her very nearly unintelligible. She must have noticed your expression, as she tries to repeat the same in halting Japanese.

Kirika giggles at this, making the girl's cheeks crimson, but despite this she tries again. After a few moments, Malal finally nods, replying in perfect, unaccented English.

"From the Ninth, yes. Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake, I presume? And yes, we're here to help out with the situation regarding Sabrina Blackburn." She holds out a gloved hand, and the American is all too happy to take it, apparently eager to make a good first impression herself as well as dispel the awkwardness. "This is Kirika Kure, our Eversor Rank Leader, and her prodigy, Miki Sayaka."

"Oh! Pleased to meet you, then, Curry, Mickey!" The girl named after what sounds like a super-deadly designer drug grins at the both of you, before turning back to the Culexus. "Miss Malal, I think? Did I say that right? Oh, and please call me Mary Sue, that's just my codename, hahaha!"

Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake?

...Curry? MICKEY?

. . .Wait, she's the Warmaster in training, and...she's sent to pick the guests up? Isn't that something someone else less important gets sent to do?

"They do things differently here in America," Malal tells you this quietly, before handing it back. "Right, thank you. It checks out."

"Yeah?" Mary nods as she takes back her ID. "O-oh, lemme take care of that for ya!" She reaches for the luggage, and you glance at Malal for help. She only nods here - and you take it as permission to indulge the American, passing the luggage to her.

...For a indicare, you were expecting her to almost drop the hardsuit. Even if this is America, Vindicares aren't usually trained for physical strength.

She carried it with no trouble at all, stuffing it into the car's trunk as if the luggage was filled with air - and soon after that she ushers all three of you into the car. Malal, as always, takes shotgun, while you and Kirika slide into the back seat. In no time flat, you're now being driven into Santa Destroy proper, towards the Eighth Officio Headquarters.

"Ah, thank God you guys got here just in time!" The American Warmaster in training seems eager, as with all things, to fill the silence of the car. "Sab's gettin' to be too much for th' Silent Room t'handle! She's puttin' holes in the walls already! The sooner we get her into that hardsuit, the sooner can relax!"

"That's what we're here for," Malal says smoothly. "How is Miss Marigold, by the way?"

"Tendin' to her garden, that's all she does now." Mary replies quickly enough, although with a note of clear disappointment. "Rest of the Officio's takin' her voluntary retirement hard, but she says it's time for her to settle down, or somethin'."

Voluntary retirement, huh...?

"Yeah. Fell in love with someone. Can ya believe it?" Mary looks at you from the rear view mirror, her bright amber eyes wide and mischievous. "Got into it with some Chinese chick from the Seventh. 'Course, they couldn't stop tryin' to kill each other at first."

"That sounds awfully familiar." Malal turns to look at you pointedly, and you look away after a moment.

"It does? Huh. Well, I dunno." The American's considerate enough to sense the lull in the conversation. "Oh, hey, Mickey! Miss Malal here told us it's your first time here in America! Anything ya wanna ask about or see while you're here? We can probably arrange it if ya want!"

"How gracious of our hosts." Kirika drawls, before grinning at you and gesturing towards Mary. "Mickey, prease."

...For fuck's sake, Kirika.

"It. Is. An. Order~"

No, the Warmasters met later. The initial meeting was this group. Then Kharn fucked TASALS, got in a fight with the Equerry, then fucked the Equerry and Wendy, then they met again, this time dragging Murderface along which is when she first met Wendy.
>>

Nope, she meets them when she drags Murderface around like a cute new puppy that just learned to do it's first trick of brutally murdering dozens of people

There were two meetings there. One when we dragged her to Charle's Bar and that ended up with them together in the same bed, but clothed. There was another meeting but I can't remember the exact timing on that one. That one ended a bit more ambiguously.

Around Christmas sounds right to me, which is when everything related to WPN starts to reach a boiling point.

Woke up a lot more naked than I was accustomed to. Underwear was still all in the right place, but...figured I’d be lucky if my cheongsam wasn’t wrecked, wherever the hell it was. ...Even more disturbing was the company. Seemed like we’d made it back to Kong’s apartment in one piece – probably thanks to Miss Tomoe somehow – and we’d...made it back into her bed, too. Both of us. ...Still there. ...Silky black hair was just a few inches from my nose. Kong’s head was buried in my neck.

Half naked.

>>

>>26289671
Is it possible for Coobs or one of the other Incubators to make an empty soulgem outside of making a contract? Or would sacrificing a potential Meguca be the only way to create a blank Soulgem?

I get the feeling that, if it is possible, it won't happen without using another potential meguca's soul to form the gem, and doing so would go against an incubator's rules and/or best interests when making a contract.

>>
>>26289959

>>
>>26289968

I suspect her magic has something to do with the items you get in game, the knife for example. Her lesser known powers include becoming a frog, manifesting a bycicle, and becoming a will-o-the-wisp.
>>
>>26290019
If it helps, so far the Wendy/Eighth writeups are the only ones that tie into the plot right now.
>>
>>26290019
That's actually in the main quest, not the writeups. Thread...90 I think?

>"...Anyway, that's how we know each other. But I guess we would've known each other anyway, what with being chosen and all."
>Chosen?
>"Of the Blessed Lady." Wendy takes another sip from her glass. "...Like you, Kong, I died once before. Shattered soul gem and all that. Dead as a doornail." A sad, wry smile. "And then she brought me back. Sparkled me up a new soul gem. Didn't even feel dead afterwards. Just...hollow, I guess. Cold." The smile disappears. "Tried to hide it, but...yeah. Never worked out."
>You take a sip from your own glass, the soul gem swimming in the alcohol, the bauble gently tinkling against the glass as you drink.
>So she's met you before. Kharn must know who she is, then. And Sayaka. You make a note to ask either of the two about any Wendy that they know of. Kyuubey must know something too, at that.
>>
So does anyone keep a little list of noteworthy things? Because it seems like the way forward.
>>
>>26290053

Well, looks like Malal will have to live with being our diary/In our Soulgem/In Kharn's Soulgem.
>>
>>26289927
>>26290252

I don't really think a soul gem can BE "empty." My understanding is that it doesn't HOUSE the soul, it IS the soul, removed from the body and crystallized.
>>
>>26290308

In that case shouldn't QB be able to separate the two? I doubt it would be easy. But I suspect he would put forth the resources to extract Malal.
>>
>>26290435

But Malal already confirmed that she's well and truly dead. She left with Madokami at the end of Midori's arc.

Don't think there's any coming back from that.
>>
>>26290308
Except Decu already explained in thread that sufficiently skilled culexuses can empty their soul gems and move their souls

The gems aren't really the souls. They are more a phylactery or soul jar. They hold the soul after it has been removed from the person and normally you can't move it again but certain people could
>>
>>26290472
We never actually saw what happened and whether she stayed with Madokami or if she slipped back into Chiaki / Kharn / Midori's soul gems while no one was looking
>>
We can but try gentlemen. Malal will live again!
>>
>>26290472

Yet we still get manifestations of her assaulting us and fucking with our shield all the time.

Normal death doesn't seem to apply to the Madokas.

I don't doubt that it is within Malals coding skills to have our phones content transfer wirelessly to a new phone from a backup server should it break. Or that she is using her god powers for the purpose. But I think it's also within the realm of possibility that she is still inside a soul gem.
