@GhostAdjutant

Your codename is Delta Phoenix. You were once a ghost of the Terran Dominion. AFter Arcturus Mengsk died and Korhal fell you defected from the Dominion. Now you fight for freedom and attempt to unify the fringes against a coming Zerg threat. The Dominion continues to hunt you, as do criminals and bounty hunters.

Your task is impossible - and that's optimistic. The fringes are spiraling into civil war, losing planets to the Zerg and Protoss, and the Dominion is preparing it's ships to reclaim the worlds for the crumbling empire. Even with your skilled crew you're starting to doubt your mission is even possible. But you still have to try.

Your fleet, The Daluke and The Last November, are in orbit over New Ares. Recovered Protoss technology has been sent to the research labs. Your ship's computers have calculated FTL jumps and are prepared to jump on your mark.

Adjutant A.I. Online. Good Morning, Commander.

I have forwarded all new intelligence to your starmap. Loading now...

>Jungle World XTYU003: Edge of Protoss space. Protoss ruins on planet. Feral Zerg infestation.
>Gas Giant 09812Z "Henderson's Fart": Composed of Caslon, Hydrogen, Helium, Terrazine, Vespene, and some Alcohols. Vespene mining station in orbit.
>Continental Planet 34R75 "Xander's rock": "Mineral, Vespene, and Jorium deposits. Hostile psionic wildlife. Dominion fleet in orbit.
>Volcanic World HA002: Zerg Hive clusters in full swing. The planet is all but lost to the swam.
>Forest World NN014 "New Ares": Crashed Protoss mothership. Potentially hostile Protoss survivors present.
>Urban World Kilaro: Kilaro's government is collapsing under criminal elements backed by Dominion hardware. Murric intelligence suggests the Dominion is waging a proxy war on Kilaro.
>Space Platform A-22-OP/Tarento: Abandoned space platform over a Dominion-Loyal Corporate Nationalist government. Government is all but a Dominion puppet state at this point.
>Nohallan: Ice Planet home to viking Mercenaries. They are wanted by the Dominion for multiple piracy operations. Hostile wildlife and environment.
>Barren World JZ01919/ Dick's Paradise: Mining Platform over a planet high in inorganic salts. Mining station is mostly abandoned. Zerg lifeforms minimal.
>Murric: Primary agricultural planet of the region. Home to Alpha, Beta, and Delta bases.
>Corendis: Jungle Planet home to big game hunters. Base locations available. Reports of Dark Templar.

>New Albuquerque: The New Albuquerque Confederacy is waging a guerilla war against the People's Republic of New Albuquerque. The PRNA is a communist dictatorship and will assume control of the planet in 2 days.
>Station 114: Previously a Confederate mining station, now home to Ex-Confederate mercenaries and pirates. Large black market presence.
>Skorpia Shipyards: Dominion Fleet staging grounds over Vespene Gas Giant "Greth". Currently at minimal defense as it's fleet has been deployed.
>Jestos: Zerg occupied Urban World that fell during the Brood wars. Occupied by single unified brood, Zerg biomass is increasing.
>Promeshi: Scanners indicate multiple Radiation spikes consistent with a nuclear Arsenal. Records indicate that this is a Dominion mining operation.

The PRNA is an independent communist dictatorship under El Presidente Berta Gamboa Maldonado, previous leader of the rebel group
"New Albuquerque People's Army." in the capital city of Mescal.

They are opposed to the Dominion's oppression, and opposed to Murric's military interference.

The party has recruited many of New Albuquerque's disenfranchised working class against the perceived oppression of the Murric middle class, oppressive Dominion, 'Ivory-Tower Intellectuals' of Kilaro, and Capitalist Pigs of Tarento.

>"XO. Weapons free. Get me orbital superiority."
>"Yessir, Commander. All batteries, firing solution on Bandit Actual. Launch alert fighters in defensive formations."

The yellow icons on the sensors switch to red as your adjutant reads them as your enemies. Waves of missiles, laser cannon fire, and fighters streak past your viewing windows into the enemy lines. Explosions flash in the distance.

>"Dolphin 13, engaging target."
>"Orange 4, watch vectors. Engage wraiths at your 3 o'clock, over."
>"Scratch one bandit. Moving to re-engage."
>"Terminal Velocity here! Missiles free! All units disengage! Eat it, Commies!"

The Missile frigate absolutely devastates the enemy lines. Their superior numbers mean nothing as wraiths implode and their debris scatters across your sensors like so much dust in the wind.

>"This is the Commander of the Daluke. Evacuate your station immediately and I will spare your lives. If you fail to comply I will use the full arsenal of my fleet on your station. You have twenty seconds."

After a few seconds the enemy wraiths disengage, and the station's escape pods are jettisoned to the surface. They know when they're hopelessly beaten, at least.

>"XO, Contact the NAC, notify them that we are here to provide relief and that they will need to supply a crew for the station. Blockade all other ships until they assume control."
>"Aye aye, sir."

You review the tactical map of the surface. The NAC's main resistance is in the Ratti mountain range, using the caves as cover. The range is close to Mescal, the planetary capital, and ruling seat of El Presidente.

You shut off the Comms. There's little else you have to say to the woman and it's clear she's off her rocker. You'll need to eliminate her, not that that's any surprise. You review the situation.

The PRNA controls most of the planets via orbital dominance, as they had control of the shipyards and New Albuquerque's wraith fleet. Without that they'll just have aerial superiority where your vikings are not. Most of their ground forces are CMC marines, unarmored infantry, and Arclite siege tank artillery support. Recon is run by Vultures.

You have access to drop pods and orbital control. You'll be able to insert any force, any where.

Loading cities...
>>
>>26398122
The problem is, we can't do that. They'll start a war on Murric next, and completely ignore actually preparing for the Zerg or Protoss

That's why we're yelling at them right now.
>>
>>26398149

Then negotiate with them. They want to be left alone, let them be. Stop playing politics, all we do is weaken their defenses and deplete their forces, forces that we could use to fight the zerg and, in the worst case scenario, use as meat shields to buffer us from the zerg. This is bullshit. We kill off this petty dictator, another one comes to take his place. There's no point to it.
>>

Jesus christ. You people have literally gone full retard. You want to play at politics while the sectr burns down. You want to demolish (for a second time) the defenses of a planet that could assist us, for no other reason than the fact that its government has "communist" in the name. It's like if the US would have insisted on fighting the Soviets during WWII, while not having secured a truce with Nazi Germany. And the Zerg cannot even be negotiated with. Motherfuck. You recognize the man. He was the one who took a contingent of Lakas' army and went rogue. The war with the PRNA has not been kind to him and he looks significantly worse for the wear.

>"This is Daluke Actual. We have secured the orbital perimeter of New Albuquerque, and are prepared to insert where-ever necessary."

>"Well shit, and here I was considering my options to get off-world at this point. Alright, Daluke. Whatever orbital firepower you have needs to support my position, pronto. We've got a siege tank blockade keeping us from any action. If you've got insertion, take out siege tank production and leadership ASAP. No artillery support for the badguys would just make my day."

>>
>>26398305
Deploy siege tanks, goliaths and MFM to Ukrop, as well as SCVs and Nomad to reinforce defenses.

The Last November hits production facilities with Wraith support, going for those with the lightest defence first, except only if Mia is willing to work with it...

Delta and Charlie goes undercover in Mescal with Enrique as a guide to see if there is enough fuel to fire up a rebellion.

Let's ask the xo, mia, ect how they feel about using our forces.

Their fleet is only nonexistent as they have been focused on securing their planet, commander. All resources are invested in ground engagements.

New Albuquerque has multiple shipyards and the infrastructure to support the creation of a much larger fleet. The limiting factor was resources because of the war effort.

Right, anywho, let's prepare deployment, shall we? Have our XO pick the deployment, as he knows a lot of what we'll be facing/what will work best.

Valkyries as troop transports is unnecessary, commander. We have orbital drop pods for insertion, though they may be necessary for evacuation.

As XO says. I love this man, he's brilliant. What are the risks with this option, Adjutant?

Mescal poses the greatest anti-air risk to the Daluke. A specialist mission beforehand can greatly reduce the damage to the ship.

You relay the orders to the commander of the NAC. He says that you'll be given the full support of the remaining forces in Mescal. Once the coordinates are organized you and your team head for the drop pod.

You're strapped into the small confines of the orbital drop pod. Enrique and Charlie are there with you. The status light changes from red to green. In one moment, heaven. In the next, hell.

As you fall your vision starts to blur. Reasonably alarming as you've never had problems with an orbital drop before. You grip the handles on your chestguard tightly, as you...

You grip the C-14 tightly. Or... you grip the CMC controls tightly so it grips the C-14. You still aren't sure about the relationship between your power suit and the gun. It's dark, hard to see, but that's always the time you have to run missions ever since the NAC started to lose. No one admits it, but everyone knows. The commies won this already.

>"Saddle up, Cowboys. That drop pod is coming down in under 4 minutes. We need all of these turrets online if our support is going to make it down in one piece. No half-assin' it Conrad. And close your fuckin' visor!"

Sarge slaps Conrad's visor shut. You've kept yours closed ever since you saw what shrapnel could do to a face. Your squad moves out of the bullet-hole ridden building. It's been days since this part of the city has seen combat but the revolution feels like it's taken years of your life.

You advance up to the burnt out husk of a car. Your squad slumps down next to you as Sarge whispers orders.

>"Alright, marines! We've got an auto-turret nest on the second story, and a marine squad on the third. Get a grenade on that infantry, Conrad. McCoy, Sparky, you flank around to the left, provide cover fire."

You respond as strong in the conviction as you can, but you're worried about working with Sparky. He's known to be a bit of a coward.

>"Sir!"

You charge out of cover. Auto-turret fire pelts the street. The road in front of you is vaporized into a cloud of debris as the Arclights rain death on your head. Your hands go numb. You shake. You're scared to death but you keep running.

You duck behind a chest-high wall, rubble around a motor pool, and take aim.

>"Sparky, the fire escape. They're coming down the back. Light 'em up!"

You both open fire from the flank. The enemy marines don't have cover and don't know where it's coming from. They scramble for cover, hopelessly, before they die. You know you shouldn't but you briefly wonder who they were. If you knew them maybe...

Several dropships fly past overhead. You see the tracer rounds light up the night sky. One of them pings a pilot and the dropship wings off in a random direction, before crashing. You regroup with your squad behind some ATVs in the parking lot of a restaurant.

>"Looks like the second firing team made it. Hopefully they can get the missile turret on the east flank. I hate pullin' double duty. Keep moving, we've got a bunker and a tank to take out before we reach that-"

Gunfire shuts him short, Sarge takes a round to the face. Your team takes up positions on the vehicles and starts pelting rounds out at the darkness.

>"Aim for the muzzle flash! Don't stop shooting!"

Eventually it goes quiet. You have to assume they're dead and keep moving. The bunker reads on your hud.

>"We've gotta take that shit out. Once we're close enough to the tank it won't be a problem."
>"Can we get a grenade in it?"
>"We're too far back, Conrad. Someone would have to sneak up on that shit and hope the siege tank doesn't get them first."

There's a few moments of silence, as you wrack your brain thinking of a better idea, before Sparky speaks.

>"I'll do it."
>"Sparky it's fuckin' suicide."
>"Look, I'll just sneak up on the right, behind those ATVs on the side of the road, throw it in, and haul ass."
>"Fuck it, Sparky. Your funeral."

Sparky takes off, as promised, behind the ATVs. You hear some gunfire before an explosion, and your squad readout shows his lifesigns as dead. But then the grenade goes
off, loudly, and the bunker's all but gone.

>"Charge 'em you fuckin' apes!"

That's when the Arclite shells start falling. Conrad gets hit first. His arms and legs are gone. Davis gets blown into half, his legs fly several stories up before you remember to keep running.

The Commies rush your position. You hit the ground, and take careful aim. They get mowed down. Their screams are the same as your marines. Their blood is the same color. But you shoot them all the same...

Michaels charges up the siege tank and shoots down the hatch. He must've hit the ammo as the whole thing lights up. You look away for a second, the only remains are a smoking crater and several lifeless PRNA CMCs.

You stand from your shooting position. Your squad rushes at the missile turret as fast as they can. Invisible rounds strike your squad down like the wrath of god. Eriksen, Watts, Browne. You draw the D-8 charge from your satchel and place it on the turret.

Rounds pelt around you as you carefully enter the detonation codes. You go to radio command and...

Your neck.

You've been shot through the neck. Blood spurts from your mouth. Your legs lose strength and you fall onto your back.

>"This is Oscar actual to all fire times. Explosives are in place. The turrets are going down. The package is making planetfall - repeat, the package is making planetfall. All units pull back. Good work out there, marines."

You see a single streak of light burning it's way across the sky. A shooting star.

Holy shit, thank you captcha for giving me a name to call this amazing badass.

>"You okay, Delta?"

You lessen the grip on the handlebars on your chest guard. You're back in the drop pod, speeding towards the planet.

>"Fine... I'm fine, Charlie."

The drop pod rocks back in forth, in almost silence, for a few more seconds. Then the loud roar of atmosphere fills your ears, followed by the XO.

>"NAC forces are reporting your LZ is clear, Commander. They've taken out the turrets. You just need to proceed to your main objective."
>"Thank you, XO. We'll give the order to move in and fire when ready."

Seconds pass. The timer ticks away seconds like hours. With a final, momentous thud you hit the ground and the doors splay themselves open.

Gunfire immediately greets your ears. You landed into the middle of a warzone. PRNA marines surround your position and your drop pod is the only cover.

Rounds pelt off of it, you're able to sense the movement of each marine but there are too many. Instead, you stick the gun out from cover as if to blindfire, and sense each of them with your own projection. They can't hit you and drop like flies. The other two directions, however, don't fare as well.

>"That is a lot of gringos, SeƱorita."
>"Make it less, Enrique!"

They move to flank the rear. Rounds pelt Enrique's position, forcing him to take cover. Charlie takes some shots to cover him, freeing the suppressing fire.

After a few short minutes, the marines all lie dead.

>"We will need to move. The control station is, no doubt, near the capitol building. Come with me, quickly."

You were worried about his lack of a CMC, but he's very mobile. You follow him up the side of a building to the rooftops, and begin jumping from building to building, bypassing most of the PRNA's defenses. Eventually you come upon a clearly military structure, with multiple sensors.

>"The hub, here, will disable their orbital tracking. Without it, the turrets will not be able to engage the Daluke."

>Loading...
>>
>>26400401
You slide down the side of the building and make your way to street level. Several marines stand guard, no doubt in sensor range, but luckily you have two snipers. As you move into the building there are only civilian operators, who can't see you or are too preoccupied manning their posts.

You set the charges and the building will blow soon.

>1 Warn the civilian sensor operators to get to safety.
>2 Don't warn them. You cannot risk El Presidente escaping.

>"Move out of here! All of you! This place is going to explode!"

You wave the civilians out by gunpoint, most of them go running off into the streets. The building goes critical in moments and the side of it blows debris across the street.

>"Delta Phoenix to Daluke. Engage target at will."

You look up to the sky over the towering government building. Slowly you see the floodlights point up to the Daluke's massive hammer head. The cannon, almost point blank at this scale, begins to charge. A beam of pure red energy engulfs the building, and leaves nothing in it's wake.

>"Mission complete, Commander. Returning to orbit."
