@GhostAdjutant

Your codename is Delta Phoenix. You were once a ghost of the Terran Dominion. After Arcturus Mengsk died and Korhal fell you defected from the Dominion. Now you fight for freedom and attempt to unify the fringes against a coming Zerg threat. The Dominion continues to hunt you, as do criminals and bounty hunters.

Your task is impossible - and that's optimistic. The fringes are spiraling into civil war, losing planets to the Zerg and Protoss, and the Dominion is preparing it's ships to reclaim the worlds for the crumbling empire. Even with your skilled crew you're starting to doubt your mission is even possible. But you still have to try.

Your fleet, The Daluke and The Last November, are in orbit over New Albuquerque. Your team infiltrated the People's Republic of New Albuqerque, disabled their anti-air defenses, and destroyed their capital building. The New Albuquerque Confederacy is mounting a more effective resistance with the support of your orbital drops.

The smoking crater of the capital building lies before you. The behemoth head of the Daluke slowly ascends back to the heavens to resume it's vigil over the planet.

>"XO, Status report on the ground situation."
>"The initial support to the NAC in Ukrops destroyed most of the blockade. They weren't prepared for an orbital mech division to drop on their position. However, the counter-attack was severe. Marine and tank forces overwhelmed our reinforcements. We lost the Nomad and several SCVs. The base held but NAC casualties are high. The blockade is broken, however. Orbital teams deployed to Kessla and Jake's Forge went radio silent after heavy losses, we expect no survivors. The PRNA tank facilities remain online and our infantry forces are significanly crippled. Henderson and Barney are currently MIA, sir."
>"And the others?"
>"Jessie and Helldog Squad's remnants reported an attempted regroup before we lost contact, outside of Jake's Forge."

The HUD begins a readout of lost forces. Dozens of names are read off in one corner as the total tallies sit on the right, casually informing you of the deaths of countless marines. Among them you note Ryan Valero and Dana Jenkins.

KIA:
9 SCVs
47 Marines
24 Firebats
24 Medics
1 Nomad
1 Goliath

MIA:
3 Marines

>"Tell me some good news, XO. Are the enemy forces prepared to surrender?"
>"After our losses, sir, it's incredibly unlikely. Their news networks are currently reporting that El Presidente managed to escape via an underground bunker. We can't confirm it as propoganda yet, but if she is alive she'll be making a speech."
>"And the NAC?"
>"Mescal's rebellion was all but killed in attempting to get you planetside. Fragmented forces are in retreat. The NAC was able to retake Rose Sea with minimal resistance. Somptince is in open revolt, the NAC might take the city by itself. Starryburn is under NAC control with PRNA rebels still waging guerilla warfare. Silermount just had a major execution - several leaders of the Banker faction who were held in part responsible for the attack, so the NAC has next to no presence there, now. Waterton is completely PRNA territory, and they've fortified it with heavy AA and tank lines. NAC forces have been captured in Rhyta and are awaiting execution. No news out of Carrols one way or the other. Despite our losses at Jake's Forge, we've incited full rebellion in the population, and the NAC is supporting them as much as it can. Whotae has reported a change in allegiance, siding with the NAC instead of the PRNA. Los Ventis is reporting serious PRNA issues, mostly abuse by the PRNA marines that are 'off duty'. New Buffalo has fighting in the streets as the NAC attempts to retake the city. Kessla has cracked down, and they're basically under a total communications blackout."

You stare at the Horizon. The sun begins to rise slowly, piercing the hazy darkness of the city, as if nothing had happened. In the distance you hear a car radio.

>"Gooood Morning New Albuquerque! This is not a test, this is rock n' roll! Time to rock it from Mescal to Ukrops' DMZ! It's Oh-six-hundred, and what does the Oh stand for? Oh-my-god-it's-early! Speaking of early, is it a little too early to be that loud? Too late! Now let's hear it for 'Fortunate Son'!"

Commander, reinforcements from our bases on Murric are inbound. We can expect them in one day. I do not have exact rosters at this time, however we can expect mechanized and air support.

Additionally, we have the following schematics available from our purchases on Station 114. If you would like to request any of these schematics before the next round of reinforcements now would be the time.

Have any trained units or maybe Henderson to mop up the Prna in Starryburn, have those starports operational (maybe get some Murric support if NAC agrees)

Your insertion team waits planetside for several minutes before a Valkyrie lands for Evac. You board it and, before long, are back on the Daluke's bridge.

You walk up to Sall, with Charlie and Enrique still following you.

>"Well, sir. We've lost the bulk of our ground support. Mechanized units are currently holding Ukrops and I wouldn't let that fall or we lose the war more-or-less instantly. We have supplies and drop pods, the best we can do is resupply NAC positions."

>"I like his idea, Dee. We can focus more on convert Ops until reinforcements arrive."

>"I do not know if it will be enough, Señorita. Though your technology surpasses that of the PRNA, they have multiple cities producing soldiers. It would be wise to strike where we are needed most."

Second Green Squadron to assist the NAC in the attack on the water facility.

Us, Charlie and a Marine/Medic strike team are going to Jake's Forge. We're bringing our lost boys and girls home and ending the stalemate there.

Also, all of their native supporters would either have to flee or be executed, that's a lot of people. We are not evacuating and neither are they, stop asking its stupid.

We don't know where the MIA troops are.

We DO know that if we insert, knock out the AA controls, and sweep away the wraiths, we'll win that fight and be able to go looking for our men.

There's a good chance the marines will just get picked off by fighter cover/blasted by artillery.

The black mud stains your face. It's cold and flaky. You're in your clothes with only your combat knife clenched tightly between your teeth. One arm hangs limp in a sling, trying it's best not to hurt, what with being broken and all.

You squint down at the darkness. Two marines guard this path. If your intel on landing was any good, this direction leads to the siege tank factories, and you still have a job to do.

Barney, though he means well, can't hunch down quite as well as you. The top of his back is most likely visible out of the window, but fortunately the two guards don't seem to notice you.

The two of you are all that's left. The Commander dropped you and a shitload of infantry right into siege tank production lines. Next time you need to barge in there and tell her that siege tanks counter infantry. It's the entire point of siege tanks. Siege tanks literally do nothing else. You reach for a cigar briefly, before remembering you used your last few.

>"Alright big guy. Two guards. CMC-400's and C-14's.You ready to jump 'em?"

You jump out of the window, as does Barney. As you fall you grab the knife from your mouth. It pierces the visor of the poor Commie bastard, but fails to stab him. He throws you off to the ground, and you roll around to your back. he's already aiming his C-14 at you, his eyes glaring through the crack in his suit, before the other marine collides on top of him.

You look on in disbelief. Barney apparently chucked his marine at the other.

>"I got 'em Sarge!"
>"Good work, Kid."

You stand and dust yourself off. For now the two PRNA goons are unconscious.

What's your next move?

You pop open the CMCs easily enough. It's not like you're some kind of marine who doesn't know where the Zipper is to the fuckin' thing. You tie up the two guards and steal their suits.

Yours fits fine, but Barney's is a little snug. The chest won't close properly, and his gut hangs out just above the codpiece.

No one'll notice.

The guards come to, with a little of percussive motivation.

>"Where're the tanks, Amiguh?"
>"I ain't tellin' you shit, mang."

You kneel down, slowly. The ethnically inclined gentleman seems incredibly defiant, but you can be an awful might persuasive when the situation dictates.

>"Now, I understand, and frankly I don't mind, but my friend here..."

You gesture vaguely at Barney. The commie's steely resolve visibly fades as you do.

>"... See, he's the result of a top-secret Dominion experiment to mix Ultralisk DNA and human to create the ultimate soldier. Now, he ain't none too bright, but if he knows you're with-holdin' information of the important kind, he's liable to come over here, rip off your arm, an' beat your ass to death with it."

A few moments of silence pass, before he spits on you. The nerve of these fringe yokels. You wipe it away nonchalantly.

>"Barney. In-terro-gate this gentleman."

>"I lost my partner, what'll I do~ I lost my partner, what'll I do~ I lost my partner, what'll I do~"

You step back, and watch the CMC clad monstrosity go to work. Although he's slow, he follows your script to the word. You know for a fact that he's going to bleed out and die in a few short seconds, but you specifically chose the one that seemed less likely to give you intel. This whole pony show is for guard number two.

>"Lou! Lou! Skip ta my lou!~"
>"Augggh! My arm! My arm you pinche cabron motherfucker!"

Pop. Snap. Crunch. Slunk.

>"Fly in the barn now, shoo fly shoo!~"
>"STOP! POR FAVOR, DIOS MIO!"

Yep. Arms don't twist that way. They don't detach either.

>"Skip, skip, skip ta my lou.~ Skip ta my Lou muh darlin'."~

>"I appreciate your generous contribution to my intelligence."

You sock him in the jaw with your CMC's fist. He's out cold. You open one of the nearby vehicles by punching out the window with the utmost finesse. You pop open the trunk.

>"Toss 'em in, Barney."

Minutes later the two of you march down and see the security checkpoint. You continue up to it, hoping your stolen CMC will be enough to bypass it.

>"Security codes."
>"We ain't got time for that, son! I've got a red-alert! NAC special forces made planetfall and they're on the way in here! I gotta contact the Commissar twenty seconds ago!"
>"Y'know the security codes take half as long to say, mang."
>"Oh... well uh..."

You look to Barney, hopefully. That's never a good sign.

>"It's seven."
>"¿Que?"
>"Tha' security code is seven."

They stare at eachother for a few moments, in absolute silence. Barney's eyes, flaming with conviction, power the bluff through the realms of logic and reason. The guard opens his mouth, then closes it, several times.

>"Man, the fuck are you trying to pull!?"

You pick up a stack of papers on the security checkpoint's desk and shoot the man through the papers. The silent round pierces his face and the two of you quietly sneak into the siege tank factory line.

There are twenty or so tanks lined up in siege mode opposite of the factories. Between the two stand a huge number of marines, and a single platform.

>"Republicos! Atten-HUT!"

Every marine on the grounds stands at attention. You and Barney have no choice but to fall in formation until an opportunity presents itself. A marine in similar armor with gold trim stands atop the platform. His visor lifts up, revealing a tan man with a black haired mustache.

>"Revolutionaries! Soldiers of a free New Albuquerque! Men and women... of justice! Today we unveil an entire platoon of the finest tanks ever developed by PRNA engineers. These tanks, a marvel of modern science and technology, fire Hellstorm rounds!"
>>
>>26421905
The speech will likely continue on for some time. You have plenty of time to plan your next move.

>"For those of you who are unaware. The Hellstorm round uses the same ammunition as firebats. The same as hellions. It shoots... fire from the sky. Promethium, able to burn through any armor, able to cling to any surface, will burn fear into the hearts of the Republic!"

You sneak away, but you have to tug at Barney's arm a few times, as he didn't seem to understand that listening to the speech was part of that whole 'cover' thing. The two of you take one of the tanks on the end. There's no crew yet, they're probably out listening to the speech. You at the driver's seat and look out the viewscreen at your potential targets.

>"Go forth, heroes of New Albuquerque! Unite the fringes against all who would see it burn down around you! Viva La Republica! Viva El Presidente!"

This is about the time you discover the speakers. You signal Barney to begin shooting.

>"Vee-vuh el Prezzy-dentay, motherfuckers!"

The first round strikes them by surprise. Most of the poor bastards don't even know what hit them. The second shell lands. Flames engulf the gathered. The platform of the Commisar burns a pretty shade of blue.

Chad and Rio are the last two. Everyone else is dead. The group of you are currently holed up on a roof. You salvaged your radio and parts of your CMC to repair other suits. You're left with just your combat shield, a stolen C-14, your flare gun, and whatever medical supplies you have left. Rio and Bossman just have their weapons, sidearms, and a lot of hope. The two of them are discussing your plans.

>"Whole situation's FUBAR. We can't be sure there's Evac coming. We've got no comms. We need to either bug out or take over a sensor tower and radio for support."

>"Too risky, all their comms are too heavily guarded, but we still have production to take out. We still have our orders, Rio."

>"Assaulting the factories is suicide, we already found that out."

>"Rio's right. We need to get to that comm tower, Bossman. Call in evac or support or just let them know we're alive."

The large man sighs and throws up his arms in futility.

>"Alright, ya'll wanna go on an adventure. Fine. We'll go radio the Commander and tell her our situation is royally fucked."

Your team slowly moves through the streets of Kessla. You manage to dodge several patrols before you bump into an ATV with an alarm. The siren blares loudly, and you can almost sense the enemy forces close in.

>"Take cover!"

You duck behind some rubble. You take potshots at marines. You aren't very good at the whole 'shooting people with bullets' thing that seems to be all the rage, but you do give a mean sponge bath.

>"Rio, cover the right flank!"
>"Twelve O'clock, six o'clock! Multiple contacts!"

You want to help!

>"Pew! Pew pew!"

That'll teach 'em.
You start to hear a loud road, and before long, one of the nearby storefronts crashes open in a cloud of gray dust and debris.

>"TAAAAAAANK!"

You pick up and haul ass. You're so content with not being blown to hell by a tank that you simply drop the gun and follow the other two marines.

A loud explosion rocks the ground and sends you to your face. You stand up. Rio yells and waves you over. Bossman is kind of missing a leg.

You help her huddle him along, through one of the alleyways, as you make your way to the Comm tower. You're fortunate enough that the defenders moved out in an attempt to kill you. You have a bit of time.

>"We need to move, they'll be here any second!"

>"C'mon Rio! Let's move Bossman! You act like you're missing a le- oh."

You tap at the console.

So you shoot a flare grenade at it, because why not?

And it just kind of sits there for a moment. Staring at you. Waiting.

Rio shoots him.

An EMP grenade is a type of terran ordnance that disables plasma shields and electronic equipment.

The flash grenade is a type of terran ordnance designed to damage the retinas and/or photo-optic receptors of a target. This is achieved by emitting a burst of light in the visible and ultraviolet parts of the spectrum.

The hellfire grenade is a type of terran ordnance which breaks up into a number of heat-seeking explosive sub-munitions.

The irradiate grenade emits polarized uranium into the atmosphere causing intense radiation. It is particularly effective against biological targets.

The E16 lockdown grenade is a type of terran ordnance that generates an electromagnetic pulse to disable mechanical units and structures.

The BE3 is a type of sticky fragmentation grenade.

You fire one round at the tanks, disabling only one of them. Luckily, Patriot team is able to compensate, and has enough firepower to destroy the other two.

>"Targets down, we're advancing!"

The team finally makes it to the base and moves in. Now you just have to cover their retreat.

Enemy air support flies overhead. Five wraiths. They're cloaked and you're unable to engage them properly, but they don't see you yet.

You see them, off in the distance. You hear it, dull at first, the loud thrum of classical music. Your entire wraith squadron and Valkyrie frigates fly overhead. Missiles streak past and rain death on the unfortunates. The flight of the Valkyries has begun.

>"Delta Team, this is NAC Actual. We have detected an APC moving from the water facility. It's carrying a tanker full of several thousand gallons of water. If we can take it out before it makes it clear, we might be able to end the war here and now. It's going right past your position."

You rush to the other side of the building. You hook your rappelling cable to the edge and jump over. You hang freely, supported only by the single cable.

The APC moves quickly, escorted by several tanks. You take a deep breath in and remember your training.

You don't pull the trigger.

You squeeze.

A single shot rings out. You miss, the APC doesn't so much as swerve. You aim again. Slowly. Carefully. Exhale.

You miss again.

The APC is closing. It will be out of your window of opportunity soon.

>"Dee!"

You steady your rifle. Aim. Focus. Time slows down. It's just you and the APC.

The front glass cracks as your round pierces the driver's skull. The rig jack-knifes, the tank of water goes overhead, then crashes down and cracks open. The precious lifeblood of the planet spills out.

You've managed to barely scrape together your victory today.

We've already stolen all available technology from this planet, Commander. There's nothing left for you to take.
>>
>>26425811
Won't happen. You saw what the major said. They will attack, sooner or later. But right now the NAC can't fight on and we just lost a fuck-ton of our troops.

adjacent, what's the percentage of the PRNA doing this shit again,
>>
>>26425775
Yeah well they're for free.
Who wouldn't take free tanks.
>>
>>26425775
Oh really?

CRUCIO > ARCLITE

Okay. Let them keep everything then.

Projections indicate that current political pressure will result in one of several possible shifts, although I am unable to calculate the likelihood of each.

In the event of a Zerg Invasion, if NAC's fleet moves to assist, it is likely that the PRNA will capitalize on the opportunity and attempt to sieze control.

In the next few months a war is only 36% likely if the NAC retains all military hardware that was acquired during operations.

In the next few months a war is only 6% likely if the NAC retains all military hardware that was acquired during operations, and we provide all available schematics, including nuclear weapons.

In the next few months a war is 49% likely if we conscript captured tanks, factories, or starports for the broader military effort.

Can we at least have some Murric troop reinforce the battle lines or something?
>>
>>26425886
Oh hey that's a good point. I don't think we should give them nuclear schematics, but anything less than that should be cool.

It is extremely unlikely that Murric will commit more troops than it currently has.
>>
>>26425886
So should we share all of our schematics?
>>
>>26425933
all except spectre stuff
>>
>>26425914
Commander, it may be prudent to provide nuclear schematics, as they are the primary fleet producer in the region. Minotaur class battlecruisers with nuclear ordinance would be a significant asset against Zerg hive clusters, and it is extremely unlikely that the NAC will use nuclear weapons on it's own population centers.

I'm fine with giving them any available blueprints besides the nukes,

Though i will like some compensation or something, like a base we have for Murric or something, a training camp or something we can use but be a part of the defense force for the NAC.
>>
>>26425947
fucking this, they aint going to nuke their own cities, but it will make them alot more able to support us against the zerg

I say we give them everything
>>
>>26425952
why not the nukes? look at >>26425947

give them the nukes
>>
Rolled 3

>>26425947
Okay, but can they provide a base or something for us, like a joint project to recruit and train units in which most will be for the defense of the NAC
>>
>>26425947
I'm just leery of nukes in general, you know? But you have some good points and I'll concur with you on this.

So can we get a vote? I want to move on.
>>
>>26425983
>I'm just leery of nukes in general, you know?

Then you're stupid and naive

While it is possible to recruit, there is no tactical advantage to a base on this planet.

At all.

In any situation I can account for.

Ever.

It is literally a ball of sand with a lot of starports and nothing else, Commander.
>>
>>26426012
Také ten tanks.
Recruit civvies and whoever wants to jump on the deltawagon.
Give them nuke schematics and minotaur schematics.
>>

This is Adjutant telling you you're fucking stupid and to sit down and let the grown ups talk

Anything they can offer us though or spare? we are giving them all the latest hardware that we can offer

Voting begins.

Before anyone asks, spectre schematics will not be provided in any scenario, not that it matters because they do not have access to either Jorium or Terrazine.

>1 Provide all schematics, leave all hardware.
>2 Provide all schematics except nukes, leave all hardware.
>3 Provide all schematics, take half of the tanks.
>4 Provide all schematics except nukes, take half of the tanks.

they will be building fleets of ships to support us...

what part of primary fleet producer owner of many starports do you not understand?

Considering you have spent the last two visits to this planet giving -them- technology and resources, I do not understand your continued desire for immediate gain, commander.

The shipyards, in time, will provide a significantly sized friendly fleet.

There is nothing else to be gained here.

You leave them with your information and the acquired hardware. Hopefully it'll be the edge they need to maintain peace long enough to get a fleet. Fortunately your battlecruiser schematics will pay off.

>"XO. Take us out."

The Daluke plots a jump. You're ready to take off to your next destination.

((Ending the thread here, I have to do like 3 days worth of basebuilding for your bases and the Broodmother and the Dominion before the next one.))

>>26426151
thanks for the thread Adjy

I think now is a good time to focus on building our forces while DP and Charlie track down samples for the terrazine cure thingy
