You were born to Javeis and Lilianne Starkhaven, a pair of unassuming craftsmen living in an unassuming town.

When you were five, you were identified as possessing magical power by Imperial Scryers. Your parents were shocked at this, having had no mage in their family for as long as any of them could remember. Under the Control of Magic Edict, issued by Emperor Levaeus II quite a few hundred years ago, all individuals possessing magical power must undergo formal training in order to control it to prevent unintentional and potentially disastrous use of magic, as well as to better segregate and control magi after the surprisingly brief War of the Wizards. The War of course, was ended when Helionas the Red’s shield failed to completely reflect Jonathan Killburn’s beam of disintegration. Despite the somewhat anticlimactic ending, the casualties were in the hundreds of thousands, and it was unanimously decided by the government that Magic had to be controlled and regulated. For this reason, you were taken to the Fifth Circle Academy, the Empire's main and premier Magical Academy.

But first... are you a boy, or a girl?

>Seriously Anon? Seriously?

You are HAIRY MCTERRORCASTLE. Your parents had the good sense not to name you this at birth, but on discovery of your magical powers you insisted on being called this, threatening to turn people into toads if they didn't.

Nobody really took your threats seriously, but most people call you 'Hair'. The Magisters give you odd looks when they read your name off the list, and you get a lot of snickers from your fellow students. But fuck them! It's your name and you love it! At least, you did when you were younger.

Taken to the Academy at age Ten, you spent five years learning meditation, self control, and mundane studies such as history, arithmetic, reading and writing. Elective classes included Runes, Basic Gardening, Astronomy, and Biology. All the while, they drilled into your mind and the minds of your fellow students, both the sheer power and danger of magic.

Now fifteen, you enter the final phases of your education. Some of your friends and fellow students opted (or were forced) instead to drop out of the Academy, in favour of mundane pursuits, although they will be closely monitored by the Empire to ensure they do not secretly attempt to practice magic unregulated. You, however, will pursue a full fledged career as a Mage.
>>
>>26439677
You are called into the Grand Hall, a place you have never set foot prior to this moment. It is exhilarating to be able to enter the restricted zones now that you are deemed ready. The one hundred students around you are all abuzz with excitement, finally receiving the opportunity meet some of the more famous mages of the time. The student next to you, your close friend Lutharius, a short, dark haired boy is practically sparking with joy, at the opportunity to meet his childhood hero, the Archmagister Jasper.

The Archmagister is said to be one of the most powerful Magi in the Empire ever, if not the most powerful Magi. Teaching the School of General Magic, there are thousands of stories told about him by the younger students, ranging from he’s secretly a thousand years old, he’s a vampire, a god in human form, he’s a lich, and so forth, and that’s not even getting into his rumoured exploits. Splitting mountains with a flick, moving the Sun and Moon, for any conceivable act there is a story where the Archmagister has done it and made it look easy.

You can see the assembled magisters, sitting up on the podium, wearing different brightly coloured robes to signify the School of Magic they teach. Stories also abound of them and their powers and exploits but to a much lesser extent than the Archmagister, with the exception of the Magister of Force Magic. A tall, wiry man wearing bright orange robes, he has his fingers laced together and appears to be repeating some sort of mantra or maybe a speech he is to deliver. Not a single soul in the Academy does not know who he is, if only because he has the very terrible habit of walking through doors, walls, and just about anything else that stands in his way. The entire Academy was redesigned twenty years ago to prevent repetitive damage, so that there were direct routes to everywhere from everywhere.

Everyone is still muttering to each other but they are waiting for the presence of the Archmagister.
>>
>>26439716
Then there is a rumbling. Soft, but present. Some of the Magisters immediately look at the Magister of Force with expressions that can only mean ‘Is this your doing?’. One of the Magisters, wearing almost painfully bright white robes does not react at all - you realise he’s actually sleeping. Suddenly, the area behind the lectern begins to crack and splinter. The Magister in yellow palms her face. Emerging from the ground like a statue or a pillar, there is a figure garbed in extravagant red robes. The robes of the Archmagister. This is him.

“Good morning students.” He says. It’s quiet, but rings out perfectly clear - you assume with the assistance of magic. So useful. “I’d like to welcome you to the Senior Campus. I’m sure it has been a very grueling five years for all of you, and I congratulate you on making it this far. Pat yourselves on the back.” He pauses. Some of the students do so. “Pleasantries aside, it is time to decide your future. I know, it’s a bit tough to decide what to become so young. But you have a long life ahead of you, and if you are ever unsure of your decision, feel free to change it. Education is a lifelong pursuit. It doesn’t stop if you leave the Academy. And who says you have to leave? I never left.” He stares at all of you for a few seconds.

He’s a short man, with slightly longish red hair and a youthful face. His face is set in a plainly neutral expression and his quiet voice is a complete deadpan, with neither inflection nor emotion. “But now, the choice."
>>
>>26439756
"There is no need to rush, there is never a need to rush. Take calmly, take it surely, one step at a time. But you must decide the School of Magic. Will you learn the art of Abjuration and Shielding, as taught by Magister Lyssa?” The Magister in yellow stands up and moves forward a bit. “Perhaps you will learn the art of Healing and Restoration from Magister Gareth?” The Magister in green, a shabby, unshaven male, heaves up and shuffles forward with a pronounced slouch. “Is it Illusion and Mystery that draws you to Magister Fayleve?” The Magister in purple seems to float across the ground, wispy hair and spaced expression give her an airy look. She curtsies. “Or are you drawn to the art of Enchanting and Artifice, learning under Magister Alaine?” The Magister in blue shoots up, and strides forward with crossed arms, glowering at the amassed students.

“For the Elementally inclined, perhaps it’s Magister Elizabeth’s tutelage you seek.” Very slowly, almost dramatically so, the Magister in brown rises from her seat, and advances to stand in the line with the others. “For the relentless and persistent among you, you’ll find a place in Magister Ranafiel’s Force Magic.” The Magister in Orange stands up, and walks forward relatively sedately, still muttering under his breath. “For those who seek the knowledge of Summoning and Binding, Magister Pythianne will be sure to educate you." The Magister in black practically bounces forward, cheerfully waving at all the students with the excitement of a hyped up squirrel. Her bouncing cleavage goes unnoticed by nobody, except the Archmagister and the Magister in white who remains sleeping still.
>>
>>26439774
“Alchemy and Potions are the domain of Magister Ahavans.” The Magister in Grey stumbles to his feet slightly, and attempts to join the line, but trips suddenly, flailing his arms. Landing with a thud, he struggles to his feet again, looking awkward and more than a little embarassed. None of the other Magister’s acknowledge his fall. “And finally, last but not least, is the school of Divination as taught by Magister Vann.” The Magister in white, the last remaining Magister, still does not awaken, and makes no move to do so anytime soon. Nobody seems to acknowledge this.

“But all this specialisation… isn’t it a little boring? I think so. Why learn one school, when you can learn all of them? If you agree, perhaps you’ll join me in my school of General Magic.” He nods confidently at his own words and stares down at everyone. “I’m sure you all have a lot to think about. Mull it over, dwell on it, but do have a decision by tomorrow. If you change your mind that’s fine, but we all have to start somewhere.” Seemingly done, he begins to rotate slowly without moving his feet. He accelerates gradually, until he is nothing more than a spinning blur and descends back into the ground with the noise of churning stone.

I am so enlisting in the General School! Can you imagine learning under Archmagister Jasper?” You’re fairly sure he’s about to squeal in unbridled joy.

>Mull over the Schools of Magic

You've heard a lot about the classes from some of the more friendly older students, and the occasional Magi.

Magister Ahavans of Alchemy is a theoretical genius, but forbidden from performing a lab demonstration due to his terrible track record. Something about being a klutz.

The Archmagister's classes are informative, but he is a renowned eccentric.

Magister Alaine tends to drive students out of his class by demeaning their work relentlessly. He has made many of them cry.

Magister Fayleve's classes apparently involve a lot of sitting around and imagining before actual illusions.

That's all you know though.

You inform Lutharius of your decision. He pouts at you slightly. "I was actually hoping you'd join me in General Magic... but, well, it's your decision. Come on! We need to get our Dorm room! Do you think they'll put us together?"

You consult the map once more to ensure you know where you're heading. Lutharius follows you at a sedate pace, babbling idly about how excited he is.

You part ways once you reach your floor, your rooms on opposite ends of the building. He asks you one more time if you won't reconsider joining him in General Magic but you decline - Summoning is your calling. You know it.

"I'm your room mate." He gives you a blank look. "... Your name is Hairy McTerrorcastle." His voice is two parts deadpan to one part incredulous. "Yes. Yes it is."

He stands there in the doorway for about five minutes as he tries to decide what exactly to make of you. Ultimately, he sighs, stands aside and lets you in. "I thought it was a joke."

The room is somewhat small. It's rather clearly split into two - a bed against the left and right sides, a pair of desks right up against the back wall, and closer to the door are wardrobes. Some identical books are present on each desk - one of his is already open. The room is illuminated by a chandelier hanging above the room, and you have personal candles at your desks.

You make up your mind to study. Seeing as you'll be taking Summoning/Binding, you open the book that seems most related to this subject.

'Summoner's Spotting Guide: Things That Should Not Be and You - by Vailean Wretchbringer'

... Lovely.

It's a basic guide on things that can be summoned, without a great detail on the how side. It also goes into some detail about binding these creatures.

Summoning is generally a two part process, but technically Summoning and Binding are separate processes. You call the being you wish to summon into the Material realm and bind it. Modern Summoning Magic combines these processes in an attempt to prevent mishaps.

You do however, learn of a minor Summoning spell.

>Spell learned!
>Summon Imp (Summoning)
>You summon and bind a small, winged creature. The creature is bound to your will and must do your bidding. Lasts for 1d4 hours. Requires a 35 on a d100 to prevent binding failure.

On second thought, that plan of mine was half-cocked. The major issue with summoning seems to be binding. Let's study binding safety and efficiency, cooperative binding being a good thing to look out for.

>>26441954
>>26441861

You continue to read the book in hopes of learning another Summoning Spell. Specifically 'Summon Hot Bitches'.

You do not learn Summon Hot Bitches, unfortunately. However

>Spell learned!
>Ahazi's All Seeing Eye (Summoning)
>You summon a small eye and bind it to your will. The Eye floats, and with a little mental focus, can be seen through. Seeing through Ahazi's All Seeing Eye prevents you from seeing normally as long as you do so.
>A 75 or higher is required to successfully bind this. Failure to bind this entity will cause it to leave.

Another hour has passed, and you're beginning to think the book contains nothing of any real power. You suppose they wouldn't give you a book teaching you how to summon anything really useful on your first day.

You flip through the book for more information on Binding. The Book mentions that having multiple magi around to bind the creature should the original caster fail is a common place practice when dealing with anything with any real power. Summoning Circles are often made of trusted companions - after all, if the eldritch terror you summon is bound by someone who then uses it destroy all of you, they're certainly off the Christmas Card list.

You flip through the book in an attempt to find any more precautions. Magic Circles are mentioned in passing but not elaborated upon.

The rest of the book appears to be more creatures and their natures. Sighing, you turn to Jaqul, who is absorbed entirely in 'Beginner's Illusions'.

"Uh... you wouldn't happen to know anything about Magister Pythianne would you?" He turns the page. "... She summons."
"... Well, yes, I knew that. But... what she's like or anything like that?" Jaqul sighs, apparently resigning himself to the fact that no, you will not leave him alone.

"I don't know her and I'm not likely to know her. My second cousin did Summoning but dropped out into Illusions. The Magister is..." He mulls it over, attempting to find the right word.

"She likes what she summons. She likes it a lot. Other people don't." With that, he turns back to his book.

You introduce yourself as Hair. "We were just talking about the Schools. Drazeen's doing Elemental and you were going into...?" Lutharius trails off as he looks at Naltan expectantly, and a little sheepishly. "Healing."

"Not much." Naltan shrugs as well.
"I know Magister Gareth is apparently a prodigy at healing. I wouldn't go into Summoning personally... some of the stories..." He shudders. Lutharius rolls his eyes.

"Why'd they feel sick?" Naltan shudders at your interjection. "It was making this horrible noise, that she apparently called 'warbling'. I'm never setting foot in her class."

You nod slowly. Interesting, you suppose. Something to look forward to... or dread.

You shrug at them. "I thought it was worse. Some dude I know was thinking about summoning Succubi and whatnot." Lutharius wrinkles his nose, and the other two chuckle lightly at that.

"Horny bastard." Naltan adds in helpfully.

"Well. That was interesting, thanks for the update. But I, Hairy McTerrorcastle, look forward to participating in such a class that is lead by a teacher with such excellent bouncing breasts." Your serious declaration is met with laughter and an incredulous look from Lutharius followed by an amused smile. You bid them goodnight and go back to your room.

Jaqul is lying motionless on the bed, sleeping silently.

You curl up in your own bed, and begin reading until you fall asleep, dreaming of strange eldritch terrors and giant, glistening boobs.

You feel a hand shake your shoulder. A muttered phrase you can't discern. You are very warm. It's very comfortable. The shaking repeats itself. Harder this time.

"Wha..." You mumble.
"Wake up Castle." You open your eyes blearily. Jaqul is leaning down over you, an expression of mild annoyance. "The schedules have arrived."

To further extend his point, he shoves one of the aforementioned schedules into your face. Pulling it back a little so you can actually see what's written, you realise it's yours.

You have Summoning today, in an hour and a half.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you certainly aren't skipping it! There's a kitchen on the bottom floor you can use to make delicious food.

You mention breakfast to Jaqul and he nods quietly but instead heads over to the direction of the communal showers. Presumably for showering.

This leaves you alone in the thankfully well stocked kitchen.

You make some toast to begin with, chewing on it lightly as you make oats for everyone. Nothing like food to earn some goodwill.

Jaqul emerges quietly from the Showers, drying his hair with a stoic expression. Plopping a book on the nearby bench ('Magical Theory: Vol 1'), he begins reading it quietly as you cook.

Lutharius and Drazeen stumble down the stairs, yawning intermittently and mumbling greetings. It's fairly early in the morning, and most people are only getting up now.

"Mmm... are those berries? Can I have some?" Lutharius gives you a pleading look but you tell him it was for everyone anyway. Drazeen gives you a grateful look before heading to the showers as well.

You dole out food to everyone currently present. Delicious oats for everyone! You're fairly sure Drazeen sees you as a friend now, but he doesn't know you that well. Jaqul for his part remains stoic but not as irritated by you as he normally is.

However, you want to get to your class early, maybe catch the Magister pre-lecture. Consulting the map once more, you head off towards the Summoning Chambers. With the swagger in your step, you get a few odd looks and the occasional sneer. You know the truth though. They just need to step up their game.

The Summoning Chambers are dimly lit, floating candles hovering around so that at the very least you can find your way around the windowless dungeon. Underground in case of a binding gone wrong, the air is cool and damp.

However, your nose is full of the scent of incense. The Lecture Chamber, a large circular room with stepped benches on the walls, is occupied by a single figure in black. Magister Pythianne. Short, curvaceous, with frizzy black hair and cheerful face.

She's preoccupied with drawing a Magic Circle on the ground with a piece of chalk, humming some pleasant tune to herself. She has not noticed you.

"Pssst." You whisper, attempting to get her attention. She doesn't seem to notice and continues humming her lulling tune, drawing out a complicated rune with her piece of chalk.

You try again. Still no reaction. Deciding a more direct approach is necessary, you walk forward, mindful of the circle, and tap her on the shoulder.

"AH! Oh! Sorry! I didn't notice you there!" She says, hurriedly. "Good morning Magister. Hairy McTerrorcastle, your new top student. Pleased to make your acquaintance." She takes in your appearance and a glint appears in her eyes. "A student? Early? Ohhhh, you must be so eager to learn!"

"I can't blame you! Ahh, did you read the Guide? Tell me you read the guide!" You nod slowly. She hugs herself, swaying from side to side with a squeal of joy. You aren't sure what's happening. "What did you think of the Gurgling Terror? ISN'T IT THE CUTEST THING EVER?! I mean, I prefer the Eater of All Things, because, teeth, you can't go wrong with more teeth, but the whole made of mouths thing has nothing to the ones that sing!" She lets out another squeal.

"Oh! I'm rambling aren't I! Sorry, I do that, I just get so excited, I mean, how can you not, when they're all so wonderful, and fantastic, but, I'm doing it again... aren't I?"

"Er... yes. I uh... agree. Is there anything I should do to prepare for class?"

She puts her finger on her chin, making thoughtful 'hmmm' noises. "Well, if you've done some reading, it should be fine. This is just going to be an introductory session for now. But! Would you like to help me draw the Circle?"

She guides you through the process of drawing different runes and sigils, tutoring you on their use, how they interact and what they do.

You find yourself learning a lot, and feel relatively confident you understand Summoning Magic more.

As you help the Magister, students trickle in very slowly. The First Year Summoning Class is a small one, numbering only to the amount of fifteen. You see some older students as well. Perhaps ones who didn't take Summoning originally, and coming to find out if the rumours are true?

"Welcome, welcome! I, am Magister Pythianne, and I will be teaching you the Exquisite Art of Summoning!" Some students break out books and scrolls, scribbling notes.

"Now, what just is Summoning? Well, for those who read the book, you will know that Summoning is the art of bringing an entity to this plane. This process usually but does not necessarily involve binding them to the caster's will." She smiles at everyone.

"For these reasons, Summoning is explicitly forbidden unless it is performed in these Chambers, or under the guidance and supervision of a Magister. We don't want any incidents, okay? Not after last year." Some of the older students shiver. "Now... for a demonstration!" The glint enters her eyes, and some of the students shift uneasily.

Well, during our conversation she did technically say that the things that can sing are best.

And water makes me think "Siren", but I don't know if that's even a summonable thing. And I don't think Sirens are very divine. But then we don't know if the Divinity rune denotes a divine creature or if the circle is siphoning off power from the divine planes or something.

Similarly, does Power mean that the creature is powerful, or is it the thing providing power to the circle?

But then again Sirens don't seem quite as horrific as the rest of the things she talked about.
>>
>>26445988

You think it over. Water, Divinity, Power and Restraint... maybe it's a water spirit of some kind? She liked singing... so... a siren?

"Is it a Gurgling Terror?" You ask lightly. She chuckles and shakes her head. "Kappa?" Calls out another student. Again, no.

"Is it a Siren?" She hmm's.

"Oooh, good idea for later maybe, but not quite." She glances over the rest of the class, as everyone tries to find the answer.

Then it occurs to you. Maybe you're thinking of this the wrong way - the Runes aren't meant to correlate with the entity... they're meant to restrain.

"It's a Daemon." You call out. The glint in her eyes becomes a bright light and she claps.
"YES! That's it, my lovely little students! I'm going to summon a Daemon!"

"Aaaaah, normally I'd love to summon something a lot cuter but... well, the other Magisters keep insisting I start off with something more 'general'. Spoilsports." She rolls her shoulders. "But yes! A Daemon. The Spell is relatively simple, but you won't learn it yet."

"Summoning a Daemon does require some material components." She produces a small pouch and places it in the center of the circle, before drawing a knife and slicing her palm open. "A little blood... don't worry, this isn't Blood Magic! It's just needed!"

She begins a low, ominous chant. As she does so, you notice some of the other students are giving you calculating looks. You may have placed yourself as being perceived as 'top of the class'.

Her chant begins to escalate. The reagents she placed in the middle combust into bright red flames, turning into a fire far larger then could naturally come from such a small pouch. The fire stops at the edge of the circle however.

As her chant reaches it's crescendo, you can smell... something. It's acrid, and burning, and reminds you of ash and smoke, a thick choking scent. She finishes with a heavy shout, and the Fire erupts into a pillar, flashing black.

When your eyes adjust to the flash of light, there is a tall, humanoid looking figure, hunched over in the middle of the Circle. It's back is covered dangerous-looking spines, and a thick bladed tail whips about irritatedly behind it. Claws clack against hard stone, as it rises up, reaching an impressive seven feet of carapaced flesh and vicious horns.

"You call. We answer. Speak. Or be. Silent."

"Hello!" You give the Daemon an enthusiastic greeting. "Now I see why everyone talks about summoning cute things in class."

The Daemon does not acknowledge you, and the rest of the class has begun looking at you oddly. Pythianne only squeals. "Ohhhhhmygod look at his spines!" The Daemon clicks it's... something. It doesn't actually have a visible mouth.

The lower half of it's face is covered with chitinous carapace, much like the rest of it's body. The only features you can discern are it's eyes, pointed ears, and wide variety of sharp spines.

"Now... what's your name?" Pythianne says cheerfully.

"We are..." What follows is a horrible noise you can't even begin to comprehend. It sounds like metal being torn apart, and the smell of burning flesh and blood seems stronger, your eyes getting visions of screaming faces and raging infernos.

"Well, gawsh, nice to meet you!" The other students let out pained groans and one even faints. Pythianne is completely unbothered.

"I'm gonna call you... Timmy." The Daemon blinks.

"It is. Different."

Pythianne then turns to the rest of the class, taking note their expressions of pain and terror. "Oooh, only one person fainted! This went better then last time. Now, as Harry correctly guessed, this is a Daemon. Now, you can see the Magic Circle?"

She begins to go into detail about the Magic Circle, and the relations of Runes.

"Okay Timmy, all done now. You can go back!" She waves him off and he vanishes in a plume of smoke and fire. "Wasn't that exciting?" She says cheerfully, clapping her hands.

"Now! Open your books to page 131. You're going to practice your very own Spell! Don't worry if you can't bind it, I can handle anything you summon easily."

You open the book to the aforementioned page - 'Summon Imp'.

You stride forward to the Circle, getting the attention of a few students and the Magister herself. "Hmmm? Something the matter Harry?"

"It's Hairy, actually. And do you mind if I use the Circle to summon it?"

She blinks, before giving us a curious look. "We read ahead." You explain to her. She positively lights up. "Sure! Go ahead! Strictly speaking it's not at all necessary, it's only an imp, but if a student is so eager to learn how can I say no?"

She steps back.

You begin the chant, quietly, slowly but quickly building up to the crescendo. It's a small chant, and it's a small spell. You feel the Magic well up inside of you, a roiling furnace of power, thrashing and searing. It sings in your veins, screams in your ears, and the rush of power is unlike anything you've ever felt before.

You've channelled Magic but never released it. Not until now. And by the Gods, does it feel good.

The Magic positively bursts, and a small, winged humanoid with burning red skin and a tail is hovering in the air. It looks at you quietly.

"Krrr-chk. We are..." It's name is a guttural sound punctuated with screeching noises. It is at least, bearable to hear.

The other students watch you intently as you examine the Imp perched on your hand. "So. What's the Demon World like?"

It's tail flicks slightly, curling around your wrist. It bares it's teeth at you in what you think is a smile. "What do you think, krr-cha?" It doesn't seem to elaborate.

"Well. Why don't you do a little trick or something?" It's wings twitch and it's talon's tighten slightly. It doesn't appear to enjoy the idea of being told to do 'tricks' but otherwise, stares at you expectantly.

"Would anyone else to try? It's really not that hard!" Pythianne calls out to the other students.

One other student steps forward. A short, dark skinned female with dark hair tied back into a bun. She strides forward purposefully, and deliberately away from you.

She begins the chant.

Requesting Knowledge check based on the book we read. Anything in particular that Imps really like? Like treats and for barter and whatnot?

Blerg, I don't think I can stay up much longer, OP. Are you planning on making an Academy Quest II? What day do you think it'd be on, if so?
>>
>>26447009
Academy Quest II will probably be held tomorrow, but at a somewhat earlier time. Probably some where around one to two hours earlier. [/vague]
>>
>>26446982
Dismiss ours, sit back down, watch others to see where they make mistakes for preventative reasons
>>
>>26447024
Not that vague considering the OP has a time stamp. :P

I'll probably be there under the same namefag. Can't really think of more shit to dream up. I'll be back to scheme with you gents. We need to totes finagle our way to becoming the prof's aide or assistant to both bone up on summoning and to get certain summoning priviledges like renting out summoned beasties as servants and whatnot.

good night you wonderful bastards. Goodnight Hairy McTerrorcastle

With another burst of magic, a similar imp to yours appears - this one is somewhat larger, but it's horns are shorter.

From what you know of Imps, horn size directly correlates to magical power. So yours is more powerful then hers - magically speaking.

"Can I keep him? I'll take him for walks and keep him washed and everything!" Pythianne giggles at you, but waves your question off.

"It's not a permanent Summon silly, but if with um, Bowie's agreement, he can be summoned at later dates."

'Bowie' for his part just glances at you, flicking his tail lightly. "Krrr-rk. You are... acceptable." It looks away, flexing it's wings.

Victory dance. After that, observe others and watch what they do, what mistakes they make and what they do that we can emulate.

Also, that brown skinned chick avoided us. Let's totally ignore that and hit on her relentlessly. Bowie is our wingman.
>>
>>26447024
Care to set up a twitter for this? Or were you not planning to have this quest run on all that long or something?
>>
lel, the way the GM writes in most of our suggested dialogue makes Terrorcastle seem somewhat schizoid or bipolar
>>
>>26447119
Shit son, I'll actually have to get a fucking twitter? Well, I suppose this is one of the more awesome ways.
>>
>>26447130
That's why we're a summoner. We're trying to summon the voices out of our head.

He named himself Hairy Terrorcastle.

I can only assume we're crazy as fuck and this is one of our more lucid periods.

Converse casually with Bowie, ask it what it can do, abilities, skills? If it can teach us things that'll come in handy later I'd say that this session was a great achievement for us at this stage

You hear the other students summoning one by one, and from what you can see, they're all successful. Although nobody seems to have an imp more magically powerful than yours, but the dark-skinned girl wasn't the only one to summon a physically larger one.

You decide this calls for a victory dance. Everyone ignores you in favour of their own, little red men who all react differently to their summoners. Whilst all successfully bound, a few of them don't seem to enjoy their predicament that much.

"So Bowie. What are you capable of exactly?" It gives another wing flex and straightens slightly.

"Chrrka. Like you, fleshling. Magic is our power. We are skilled, krr-ka. In our world... 'Bowie' is great scholar. Unlike others." It glares at some of the larger imps.

"Chrrrrr. Knowledge is our strength. Our kind used as servants, but you are seeing we are more."

Pythianne cheerfully congratulates everyone on their resounding successes, before declaring this class over. As the Imps are all successfully bound, they will last until the spell expires and will not need to be dismissed (although you may do so if you desire).

Bowie will stay around for 3 hours.

You have no other class today.

So, asking Bowie about Magic. Noted.

I'll see you all tomorrow then! I'm going off to eat.
