LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Gundam+AGE+Quest

Check my Twitter for Updates and Reschedules: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

The time is 11:30 and your name is Scarlet Crocker. You are currently the commander of the Federation Forces on your home Colony, Zarth. You just had a small reunion party with your family after Dad returned from Vagan. Now you’re reviewing the work completed by the construction workers.

The Armory is finished and will allow you to store and stockpile weapons, wears and equipment. However none of the ammo, weapons or equipment survived the destruction of the armory.

>We can begin manufacturing ammo, right? We should also order some from the side, maybe cut a deal with whoever supplies Hogan and Rysis. Also, did the accountants, doctors and scientists Yurin sent over arrive?

The Machineshop will be able to being manufacturing ammo as soon as you order it to be made. The accountants Yurin sent over have arrived, along with the doctors and researchers from Zeek. However the Sub-Offices aren’t furnished and the Lab isn’t even finished being restored. You need to get equipment and furnishings if you actually want to put the Accountants and Researchers to work.

There’s a lot to do to get ready for the probable invasion in a week, but it’s late and you’re pretty damn tired.

What do you wish to do Scarlet?
>>
>>26471710
Get the Treasure Star's AGE Builder moved over to the Machine Shop. Those guys are fresh, relatively speaking, let them handle it. Unless they've got severe jet lag from all the time zone shifting they do. Ha ha ha puns.
>>
(Glad to have you back Crosswire. How's everything?)

Anyway, we should relegate some of our duties. If we try to do everything ourselves, we'll go insane.
Let's set up some people responsible for various jobs, and let them take care of that whatever way they deem necessary. We only need to give them orders and take reports, not babysit them and tell them what to do. They're capable people, jeez. So, let's see:
> Research and Development - Dad
> Construction and Infrastructure - Dad, again
> Training - Grampa
> Supplies - Rysis
> Manufacturing - Daiki
> Ground Forces - that dude from Fairdain, Walker
> Mobile Suits - The guys from the Magic School Bus
> Ships - Dorothy
> Surveillance and Intelligence - Mom (she's an X-Rounder, she'll be useful there).
This sounds good? We need people to do something, not just sit around. Fill them in on their new jobs, and lets get some shut-eye.
>>
>>26471710
Sleep or at-least take forty wink to get a bit of rest.
>cut a deal with whoever supplies Hogan and Rysis
Look into this, see if we can get anti-MS or anti-ship mines or missiles. Good chance we won't be going into a equal fight.
>need to get equipment and furnishings if you actually want to put the Accountants and Researchers
May as well ask around to see if anyone has the the gear for them before asking outside the colony which would take time.
>>
>>26471894
Jake's supposed to get us some equipment for the labs, maybe he has somebody that'd take care of accounting equipment as well.
Either way, we should meet those guys that recently arrived and fill them in on the situation.
>>
>>26471868
Sounds good. Things should also go a lot easier now that we have Ma G back, too. We should look into getting her connected to the base mainframe. Though she'll be tied up analyzing the Vagan data we recovered, she should be able to assist us to some degree.

Speaking of AI, has CDACE become sophisticated enough from his socialization with Ma G and MID to be able to do tasks unrelated to his central function? Because with the possibility of the Anansi drones having gotten into our colony, having a few Kidnappers hanging around for guard duty might be a good idea. We should come up with a different name for them, though. No one wants to hear that their military has placed Kidnapper Robots around the colony for their own good. Sounds horribly ominous.
>>
>>26471994
CDACE is still on Minsry, I'm afraid. Though we could send Desil's parents over there to be properly interrogated and rehabilitated along with the data which he could then analyze. And I'm not sure if the Kidnappers are able to function so far from him. Maybe we can manufacture some here, we do have a couple of AGE builders hanging around.

And speaking of the ground forces, if we do run into the robot spiders from Mars, we should equip the ground forces with the Genoriders. And we could perhaps improve on those things, maybe make heavier versions of those for prolonged combat or something.
>>
>>26472063
I kind of feel bad for CDACE. Trapped inside Minsry forever with no escape that doesn't involve destroying it. His little family of AI gets to go off and have adventures, while he's stuck in his hangar because he doesn't want to scare anyone. Last time he had any fun was when he did the light show at Jake's party 25 years ago. Poor CDACE.
>>
>>26471868
(Everything is fine. Got some time off, don't have to work till Friday so we'll be questing a lot this week).

>>26471846
You decide to have the Treasure Star's AGE Builder moved to the Machine shop with the other one. After all that Giant DODS rifle on the underside doesn't use it to charge up, so it'll be safer and put to better use inside the colony.
>+1 AGE Builder Available

>>26471868
Deciding to divy up the responcibility so you don't lose your mind you pick the most qualified people you have at your disposal. Since it's 11:40 at night you tell Rysis to leave them all messages for the morning.
> Research and Development - Dad
> Construction and Infrastructure - Dad, again
> Training - Grampa
> Supplies - Rysis
> Manufacturing - Daiki
> Ground Forces - that dude from Fairdain, Walker
> Mobile Suits - The guys from the Magic School Bus
> Ships - Dorothy
> Surveillance and Intelligence - Mom (she's an X-Rounder, she'll be useful there).

>>26471994
>>26472063
CDACE has become sophisticated enough not to sound like he's a Text-to-speech program and has had conversations with Ma G and MID before. He's capable of doing things beyond his central function but he's still stuck inside Minsry and his drones can't move between colonies or operate out of atmosphere. That and the Kidnappers have a limited range.

You order Rysis to have Desil's parents transported to Zeek's lab on Minsry to properly wake them up and interrogate them. It'll be a while before they're awake though, they've been in cold sleep for a long time, snapping them awake too fast could kill them.

(Cont)
>>
>>26472193
>>26471894
Dad said he could provide or get the research equipment. You leave him a voice mail concerning office equipment. Shouldn't be that hard to get (even if your father is incompetent when it comes to Paperwork. He can build a mobile suit with his eyes clothes but he still doesn't know his social security number)

Hogan probably knows some guys you could get anti-MS and anti-ship mines and weapons from. Probably won't be cheap but you drop him a text about it.

You're dead tired though and just about everyone who's not on guard duty is asleep.

If you don't sleep know you might as well take up Rysis's offer and have a battery shoved up your rear.

How long do you wish to sleep Scarlet?
>>
>>26472110
And now I have the picture of a ridiculously chatty enormous armor bothering everyone with how eager for communication he is. But I'm sure Yurin wouldn't let the big guy feel alone. For all we know, she might got him a job as her helper in planning and managing Minsry.

>>26472193
(Glad to hear that.)
>>
>>26472193
I thought we had no AGE Builder at the Machine Shop. Weren't both of the ones we had on the ships in case they needed the Photon Blaster Cannons, and we were just shuttling material and finished parts back and forth from the docks? Was I wrong about that? If so, that's awesome, we double the manufacturing capability instead of just shortening a process line.
>>
>>26472215
Say, 6 hours. They'll wake you up if something happens. If you can't fall asleep, call Dirk, it's been a while since we bothered him. Side note, did Rysis call Flit to mess with him about his daughter and the Crocker kid?

>>26472232
I think we have about 3 AGE builders hanging around - one from the Treasure Star, one on the Magic School Bus, and one on the Camelot. So far, they've been pulling duty as manufacturing stations, because we haven't had the need for the Photon Cannons, yet. And speaking of which, our navy is our greatest asset - we have 4 pretty strong ships, 2 armed with the Photon Cannons and one with the Giant DODS. We're severely lacking in mobile suits - at best, we'll have about 50 suits and trained pilots against who knows how many.
>>
>>26472215
Sleep until seven. Wake up, drink copious amounts of coffee, discover that Dad has somehow commandeered the base kitchen to make pancakes for the three dozen children he brought home with him. Making Vagans pancakes is how he welcomes them to the Federation. It's tradition. He did it for Desil, he did it for Zeek, he's probably done it for every other Vagan researcher he's captured. Pancakes will end this war.
>>
>>26472217
(Oh Yurin gives CDACE plenty of company, besides CDACE is considered the guardian of Minsry, he's only saved

>>26472335
You call Dirk before going to bed, feeling you should check up on him.

"Hey Scarlet how's it going? Dirk asks, the sound of him chewing filling your ear.

"Alright. Dad's back in one piece, brought a lot of kids back with him and some important data." You explain.

"Really? Never had a doubt in my mind that Dad would be back...Listen I kind of had an accident recently. It's nothing to worry about, buuuuuuut I kind of got my arm shot off and MID bonded with me and replaced it." Dirk explains between bites of what sounds like hospital food.

"Anyone else would doubt that, but considering our family history that's pretty believable. Want me to tell Dad and Mom?"

"No, I'd like to tell them myself, they'll only get all weird about it if you tell them. Huh this Jello tastes we-" Dirk goes silent and you realize he's probably just passed out for fallen asleep.

You hang up your phone and flop down on the cot on your office, setting your phone alarm to ring at 7:00 AM.

For once you wake up to the sound of your alarm and not the sound of shouting, or explosions, or some horrible news. Instead you're able to get up, get dressed, drink some coffee and go to the mess hall to see Dad and Ralphie have made pancakes for all the Vagan Orphans. Thankfully Grandma saved some of that delicious Tortellini soup in the fridge so you don't have to suffer eating pancakes for the billionth time.

As you eat you look over your too do List.

(Dad doesn't want you or anyone else near the Treasure Star. He and Daiki, along with the people he brought with him are working on it now. Whatever he's doing you're sure is important)

As you think of what to do next Romary comes over and sits at your table.

"Hey Scarlet, er Commander..." She says, sitting down with a plate of pancakes.

"Scarlet is fine Romary." You say, eating your soup slowly as you watch her dig into the pancakes.

"So how have you been?"

"Stressed out, busy, but alright overall. How about you? You seem hungrier then usual..."

"Oh sorry. I gave blood yesterday and donated some of my eggs for the WWDO fodunation (women with defective ovaries)." Romary states.

"I keep forgetting you've always been big into helping people. But isn't donating your eggs a little...creepy? I mean what if they use them for something sinister?" You as with a frown, not liking the idea of taking anything from your body.

"Oh don't be ridiculous Scarlet. Why would anyone want my eggs? They're just trying to help women who want to have kids, besides I don't plan on having them anytime soon."

Do you wish to continue talking with Romary or do you want to get to work on your to do list?
>>

Oh God! Kio is still going to exist! Everyone Panic and onto the Treasure Star, we have Time Travelling to do!
>>
>>26472882
Talk with her for a while. Ask her if she'd like to be our personal assistant, we know that she's too timid for any real fighting.
As for the priority list, did MaG link with the HQ? She could use the surveillance equipment around the base to see if any of the robot spiders have infiltrated the base. We should prepare some Genoriders just in case, we don't want to send our men to their deaths in case there are some Anansi around.

>>26472920
Hey, with insane Emily around, maybe Kio won't be a cunt. Or maybe he doesn't happen at all.
>>
>>26472920
Oh god no. Okay, okay, we can still salvage this. We just have to make sure that Asemu never gets acknowledged as Flit's son. If Asemu isn't Flit's son, Kio isn't his grandson, and will never get into the AGE-3. And then he'll never get into all that bullshit.

And hey, even if he does wind up piloting we might get a chance to fix things. Most likely he'll come into existence from it turning out that whatever girl Asemu ends up with is infertile, resulting in them needing an egg donation to have kids. Which means he'll grow up around Uncle Dirk and either Mom or Aunt Scarlet depending on the exact situation. We can influence him to be better than he was in canon.

Unless Emily creates him test-tube style. But why would she have motive to do that? I can see her ensuring Asemu has a child that way, but why would she use Romary? Oh god please don't let Emily be the one responsible for Kio, growing him in a cloning vat and raising him at a Leviathan base. Please don't do that, Emily.
>>
>>26473089
Don't even joke about Scarlet being infertile.

As for Kio being a test-tube baby, in our timeline, it's entirely possible. We do know that some scientists have been messing around with genetics, and creating super soldiers, and cyborgs. And all of them, like Emily, work for Leviathan. So it's possible that Romary's eggs get turned into some ungodly super solider. And even worse, she did take samples from Dirk too, so Kio might as well be a Crocker.
...oh shit.
>>
>>26473141
Right, but why would they want Romary? That's the weird part. Presumably Emily wouldn't just use any old egg cell. Using Asemu in the breeding experiments to try to pass on SUPAH PILOTO skills I can understand. Why would they use Romary? I mean, we know that combining Asemu's and Romary's genetics stands a fair chance of getting you an easily influenced super X-Rounder. But Leviathan wouldn't. Unless someone else has future knowledge. What, did Daiki accidentally spill some information sixty years and someone took it seriously?

You know what, until further information on Emily is gathered, I'm just going to assume that Crosswire is trolling us. It's working, after all. For now I will pretend I have no knowledge of Kio Asuno whatsoever, nor means by which he may come in to being.
>>
>>26473013
Ma G is based out of the Camelot at the moment, but she's linked up with the Colony and HQ's computers so she's keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.

"Hey Romary, how would you like to be my personal assistant?" You ask as you finish your soup.

"R-really? I wouldn't mind it at all but...why me?" She asks, finishing her pancakes.

"Because you're level headed, down to earth, and one of the few people I know from school so why not?" You give a happy shrug and Romary smiles.

"OK I'll do my best!"

What do you wish to do now Scarlet?

Or Something else?
>>
>>26473279
Well apparently Romary and Asemu were childhood friends, so it's possible that Emily knew about that and went from there. Or Romary's parents pushed for that because they supported Leviathan. Or a high compatibility with the super soldier serum. Or Zeheart messing with everyone because he's a dick like that.
>>
>>26473279
>Unless someone else has future knowledge. What, did Daiki accidentally spill some information sixty years and someone took it seriously?
This is possible. There are other factions in Gundam Canon that possess in-universe dimensional travel. As well, it could have very easily been caused by this timeline's version of Ryuji who got nabbed by Grodek when he fell into the past and is now working for Leviathan.
Which is one of the BIG reasons I want the Grand Wing to stay around.
>>
>>26473353
Okay, let's see.
> Let's provide Genoriders for the ground forces. If there are Anansi around, we need them armed and ready. Have one AGE builder work on those, another on upgrading them, if possible.
> Send some guys to begin working on restocking the armory, and call Hogan's suppliers. We could offer them some old tech instead of money.
> Have Hogan and Arnold examine the surroundings for good sniping and surveillance/cyberwarfare locations. Arnold's a geologist, he'll be able to find the best strategic positions to plant those. Maybe Arnold can find some rocks that could provide us with additional funding.
> Have Jake find us the necessary equipment for the labs and sub-offices. Bill it on the Feds.

We also have that favor from Madorna to call in.
>>
>>26473353
Let's establish the security network, then get to work on the robot spiders. They're kind of related, really, so it makes sense to do them in close succession.
>>
>>26473596
You decide to work on establishing a security and Cyber-ware network. After that you'll get to work on seeing about the Spiderbots.

Journeying to the Baronche with Romary in tow, you sit down and have a chat with Hogan, since being a pirate he's probably had to set these up more then a few times.

"A security and cyberware system? That shouldn't be too hard at all. It's pretty simple, just need to hide the stuff in walls of the colony and slap the transmitters in with the rest of the colony's external crap. What kind of a range do you want though? The bigger this is the more complicated it's gonna be and the longer it's going to take" Hogan explained.

>A) Just Zarth. Minsry and Fairdain are well off by themselves, you barely have 20 mobile suits. 2 Days

>B) Zarth and Minsry. No need leaving the others out. 4 days

>C) All three of the colonies. 5 days,
>>
>>26473390
Well, now I have horrible visions of Ideon crashing the party at some point. The IDE Builder would be a terrifying thing. I could stand for getting our hands on Buff Clan tech, though.
>>
>>26473911
All three colonies.
They should take Arnold (from the Magic School Bus) with them, he'll probably cut down the time needed because he can offer advice on where to plant those things. And he can scout ahead for some useful rocks we can mine and sell.

While we're on the Baronche, get Hogan's son along, we need to know what can he do for us.
>>
>>26473911
All three. But see if our Fardain forces can get anyone back home to assist in planting the sensors. They've got more forces than us at the moment, might as well use it.
>>
>>26474000
Fair enough. We're all in this together, they should be informed about what we're doing.
We should inform Minsry as well, tell them to pitch in.
>>
>>26474151
Actually, what about this needs our mobile suits? Even if you assume that dexterity is needed to place them properly, we have worker suits for that. Let's get out the 3Ds and Desperados. I'm sure we've got plenty, Zarth is an industrial colony. Bob probably has a small fleet of them with him.

In case those spider drones are on the walls of the colony? The worker suits are bad at combat already, and we don't want civilian causalities happening.

"All three. No need to leave the others out. Call ahead to talk to the Fairdain and Minsry forces to have them help you out, they shouldn't complain since it's helping them. Bring Arnold and his MS along too, he should be able to help you out." You say, Hogan nodding in agreement.

"Alright, just keep in mind that me and my men will be wrapped up with this work, don't ask us for anything else if you want this done before the Vagans arrive." Hogan explains.

"Alright then. Do you know anyone I can get anti-MS and Anti-ship mines from?" You ask.

"Absolutely. But it'll probably cost you. Us pirates are pretty well equipped at the moment. Cash is nice, but data is better, I'm sure you can supply them with that?" Hogan asks.

"Totally, but I want a lot of mines for this data. We're going to be facing an army not a scouting force" You state firmly.

"Don't worry, I'll let my guys know. They should make it here in a day or so."

You part ways with Hogan and visit his son before leaving. Arnold is small gravity block aboard the ship, in the weight lifting room. Arnold is a young man but he's BUILT. He could easily pass or become a professional bodybuilder.

"Um, excuse me are you Hogan's son?" You ask, walking into the room.

The young man, somewhere around 18-19 sets down the heavy duty weights he's pumping and stands up.

*I can't write an accent to save my life so use your imaginations."

"Ya, I'm Arnold, but everyone here calls me Arny." The buff man says.

"Ah, well I was wondering what you could do for me." You ask, taking a step back as Arny obliviously invades your personal space with his bulging pectoral muscles.

"I am a good pilot and as you can see, I am built like Hercules." He says with a few flexes. "I also am studying personal health and fitness."

"Really?" You ask.

Do you have any questions for Arny or do you want to go on to the other things on your to-do list? Romary is starting to drool a little...
>>

Can we ask him if he'd be able to put together a decent physical regiment for the troops? It'd help if they're ever caught outside their MS with only an assault rifle, facing down a top of the line prototype MS.
>>
>>26474842
Introduce ourselves properly. Ask him what he could help us with. I guess he could help grandpa with training the recruits.
A nice physical regiment, something that'd help them keep in shape and endure the high Gs while piloting out there. We don't want our pilots falling unconscious.

"I'm Scarlet Crocker. The Commander of forces on the Zarth Colony. Listen, Arny, I'm in bad need of people who know what they're doing. I have a LOT of new recruits and a lack of people to train them. Do you think you could come over and help train some my recruits?" You give Arny a hand shake, his hand his massive compared to yours.

"I don't see why I couldn't. I may be a pilot, but my father has other men to fight. I would be happy to help you buff up your men." Arny says with a nod.

>>26475247
Did we ever find out if Seric is okay?
>>
>>26475247
Okay, next big thing - the Genoriders and ammo.

We have 3 functioning AGE builders, and one machine shop. Have one builder make a couple more Genoriders, another work on upgrading them (better plating and such). Meanwhile, have the guys in the machine shop produce some ammo.

Can the last AGE builder work on upgrading the machine shop so we can increase the production of ammo, maybe even change what types of ammo we can produce? So far, we can only make basic ammo, which is good, but we need some tricks up our sleeves.

Also, have Walker and his men get familiar with the Genoriders and how they work. We didn't leave them with Desil and his crew, right?
>>
>>26475344
Fuck, we really need to check our messages.
Let's finish the more important stuff first, then we'll see about Seric.
>>
>>26475347
I'm not sure the Genoriders are that pressing an issue, but we should make a few more while we hunt for spiders. No reason we can't multitask.
>>
>>26475470
That's what I'm worried about. We don't know how many of the spiders are there, or how they even got here. Hell, Zeheart might've been smuggling them in over the last year or so, and it's possible that they outnumber us 10 to 1, or worse. I'd just like to increase our survival chances. I mean, we can fight them using the MS, but we're more likely to damage the colony that way or them swarming us.

But you're right, lets investigate for the spiders and build some Genoriders just in case. Multitasking is go.
>>
>>26475344
>>26475413
You haven't checked your email in a while, but that can wait until you've worked on the Spider issue.

>>26475347
The Machineshop has been producing ammo since last night so they should have some for you to use. Calling up Daiki, you get him running the AGE Builders to make and upgrade the genoriders.

Thankfully the Magnificent 7 did leave the 7 Genoriders Dad made for them behind. Walker and the Infantry men have been messing around with them so they should have an idea of how to use them.

Equipment and Personnel Projects

>Genorider Production and Improvement x24- 10 hours

>MS Training x100 Recruits/ Greenhorns/Paperpushers- 5 days

>MS Engineering Traing x20 MS Club/Recruits -5 days

>Ammunition Production- Ongoing

With the Genoriders in work, now it's just a matter of figuring out how the hell to go about finding and fighting the Anansi.

Any ideas Scarlet?

Is MaG around? Have her go through security feeds over the last few days.
We could call the local police department, ask them for their help in this. They probably saw or heard about something suspicious.
And whoever takes care of the outer parts of the colony, because they're most likely to hide in the maintenance shafts and pipes.
>>
>>26475873
They can't be as intelligent as they were on Second Moon. They have no direct access to their controlling AI, so they'd be running on swarm processing to coordinate their actions. At short ranges they could do that with their radio links, but in the tunnels of the colony that would drop off quickly at range. So that gives us two potential ways to find them, aside from just looking. If we find a large source of EM emissions in one area we would know they have a cluster there. Shouldn't be too hard to find, given that we're building a distributed sensor net. The second way is for Ma G to search for anomalous accesses to the colony's data grid, which would indicate that they're piggy-backing on the local infrastructure for their network. Though if they were doing that it would imply they have a splinter mind of SIN backing them up. Not as dangerous as the original, but still a potential info war attack. So we should get her hunting for any encrypted activity that shouldn't be there, too.
>>
>>26476417
Good idea. We should also notify the police, just in case these things decide to attack the civilians when they realize they've been found.
And, if this works out, we should notify Minsry and Fairdain as well on how to locate and combat these things.
We did send them the blueprints on the Genoriders, right?
>>
>>26476480
Might want to be careful with sending stuff like that in the future. The bugs might be able to intercept.
>>
>>26476581
True. For all we know, they might be operating from some cloaked Vagan ship nearby.
Okay, new objective, after we deal with the bugs - establish secure communications, if there aren't any.
>>
>>26476071
Ma G is stationed aboard the Camelot, but is capable of accessing Zarth's Computer systems.

After returning to HQ and introducing Arny to Grandpa, you get in contact with Ma G and ask her to review all the security feeds over the past few days.

While she's doing that you call up the police and ask if they've had any reports of any strange or malicious activity.

"Well we've had a lot of thefts recently. Mostly bikes, parts from dishwashers, electronics, appliances and such. The break ins always happen when the people aren't home, so we haven't gotten a description. However the break-ins are so numerous they have to be done by multiple accomplices" The police chief says.

"Thank you Sir. I'd like to warn you that we have possible intruders hiding inside the walls of the colony. A type of robot attack drone. I'd suggest warning people and keeping them out of dangerous areas." You explain.

"Scarlet. I have not found anything on the cameras, however several of the cameras in the south section of the colony have been destroyed, particularly around the elevators leading to the interior of the colony." Ma G states.

"Are there any breaches into our network?" You ask.

"Negative. However the capacitors tied in with one of the solar collection mirrors have dropped considerably in their power capacity. It's unlikely that this is due to a malfunction." Ma G says.

"Do you have any cameras down there?"

"Negative. A significant amount of evidence suggests that something is in the Capacitor Range section." Ma G explains.

>>26476480
You have not sent anyone the data on the Genoriders. Would you like too Scarlet?

It's now a definite possibility the Spiders are in the colony. They've been collecting materials for something, but they haven't tapped into your network, at least not in a significantly noticeable way.

What do you want to do Sacrlet?

Warn the other colonies about possible intrusions, how they work and what they should look for - mostly thefts and capacitors sabotage.
Use a secure channel - they haven't tapped into those yet. Send the Genoriders blueprints later on, once we deal with the bugs.

Have Walker assemble his best men, get into Genoriders and explore that stuff. They are the ground forces, they should be able to deal with this.
Also have some guys from the MSB hang nearby with their suits in case something big happens. Get into the Gawain, its time for a ride.
>>
>>26476787
So they're smarter than we thought, if they don't need to network. Worrying. Alright, how's the Genorider order going? If we have enough of the up-armored version we need to send a team down there now. Preferably with as much heavy weaponry as possible. We think of these things as small because we last fought them in a giant robot, but they're human sized. Sounds nasty to fight on foot. What do we have in the way of infantry weapons, other than EM Rifles?
>>
>>26477021
You know, it occurred to me - what if they're able to behave smarter when they're in larger numbers, like Geth? SIN doesn't have to be one AI ruling them all, but an AI hive-mind that all the Anansi make. If so, there's probably hundreds of them down bellow, and they're reproducing by stealing machines and electronics. There's probably one large unit, about the size of a mech, that they've been working on for a while.

We should get the Advanced Genoriders as soon as possible. That, and get them some heavy EM shotguns and machine guns for the incoming fight.
>>
>>26477135
That's what I assume, yeah, but they clearly have some intelligence of their own if they can carry out complex acts with the limits on party number imposed by the need for stealth. And I really hope they're just self-replicating. At least then we'd know what we're dealing with. I really don't want them to be building some sort of subversion rig they're going to use to take control over the colony systems all at once or something like that.
>>
>>26477021
The improved Genoriders are popping out about 2 and hour. These Improved Genoriders are easier to put on, lighter, but offer more protection.

Outside of the 12.7mm machineguns and 40mm Missile-Tubes used by the original Genoace, there is also a 80mm clipped bazooka and a anti-material vibrational sword that folds out from a forearm mounted module.

Standard infantry weapons include shotguns, machineguns, grenades and anti-material sniper rifles.

You currently have 2 Improved Genoriders and 7-Old Model Genoriders.

Do you want Walker and his men to assemble and go down with only 9 Genordiers? Or do you want to wait for a few more?

Going down in a mobile suit might give them support in case there's something bigger down there.

What do you want to do?
>>
>>26477432
Have one of the AGE builders upgrade those 7 old ones, and wait for a couple more to be made. Give the order / notify somebody to seal that part of the colony, so we don't have to worry about them getting away from us. Prepare the Gawain, and ask Walker what load out he recommends for fighting in such conditions - after all, he knows his job better than we do.

>>26477261
Well, so far, they've been stealing regular electronics, so I doubt that they're able to create something that sophisticated. Replicate themselves, sure, but even then that requires some damn good and precise tools... which they could've got from some industrial complex nearby. Well, this is bad.

Best case scenario? A hundred of those. Worst case scenario? Thousands of those, plus some mobile suits they made. That's not counting in the possibility that they've been let in by someone in the colony who isn't Zeheart.
>>
>>26477501
Sending out the 7 older model Genoriders to the AGE Builder on the Camelot to be modified, you get in contact with the Colony Maintenance Union and explain the situation to them. Thanks to the design of the colony, they are able to seal that section of the colony off from the others remotely. Meaning whatevers down there will only have one way out.

Through Walker and his men.

Preparing the Gawain for combat you talk to Walker about what weapons would be best suited for the task.

"Well we'll be in the walls of the colony, that means beam weapons are WAY out of the question and Mobile Suit EM Rifles are as well. Melee weapons are probably safe. Maybe small vulcans, or a flame thrower might be best. Your options are pretty limited weapons wise unless you want to risk spacing all of us." Walker admits.

What do you wish to do with this information Scarlet?
>>
>>26477888
Thank him for the information, that could've ended up ugly. Let him prepare his men, arm them however he deems necessary.
We have some time to prepare now. Let's make a couple more of those Genoriders.

The Gawain is made for melee, but we should see about getting some small vulcans or flamethrower made for it. Jake has some work to do.
Also, get some of those cyberwarfare things over here, we can use them to slow down the drones.

Side note - the Gawain, looking over the info, has that anti-funnel system, right? Can we modify it so it can sabotage those drones?
>>
>>26478034

The Cyber-Warefare devices are pretty large and are designed to make it seem like there are more of your men then there actually are. Setting one up in the colony wouldn't do much since the robots probably don't rely on radar to seek out their targets. Besides Hogan and his men are at Fairdain at the moment.

The Anti-Funnel system is still in the prototype stage. It's meant to interfere and scramble X-Waves emitted from X-Rounders to fuck up their control of their bits. It wasn't designed to scramble computer controlled remote weapons.

As for the vulcans and Flamethrower, Jake has that. Do you want to help him make them or do you have something else you want to take care of? If you to help him roll 1d100 vs your Engineering skill. 25 or lower will suceed.
>>
>>26478197
I was thinking of that stuff the Baronche used when they attacked us last time, that messed up their sensors and screwed around with their movement? The ECM?
We probably should avoid getting in melee with a swarm of robotic spiders, and that thing did a good job on them the last time.
>>
>>26478197
As for engineering, we'd probably just get in the way. Let Jake handle making those things for us while we check our messages. We can help him with some minor stuff later and mess around a bit with him.
>>
>>26478472
You leave the engineering to Dad and go back to your office to check up on things and look at your email.

Most of what you find is updates on various blogs and such, a notice to update your subscription to Highlights, and a lot of spam. However you do find an Email from Aldrick and quickly open it.
--------------
Dear Scarlet

I am writing to tell you my son is safe. My wife however is nowhere to be seen. From what Seric tells me she planned on going to her mothers house, but last time I checked her mother's house and her entire home town was flooded and is under 80 feet of water. The police haven't found the car, but I have an idea of where it is...

Thankfully Seric went to the next door neighbors for help when he realized something was wrong. However by the time the police arrived my wife was gone.

Thank you for taking over my position and allowing me to see me son. I will remember what you did and help you anyway I can in the future.

Yours Truly
Aldrick Abis

PS: There's a stash of hard candy in a secret compartment under the seat of my office chair. You're welcome to have it.

There is still 2 hours before Dad completes the weapons and Walkers team is ready to move out. What do you wish to do Scarlet?
>>
>>26478789
Send him our condolences and apologize for slowing him down. Wish him and his son all the best.

We have 2 hours to kill, we're not sending Walker down there without our support.
So, let's take some of that candy, find mom and mess around with her for a bit. Maybe give the candy to that Fram girl. Then lets go help dad with the finishing touches.
>>
>>26478909
You get the candy and leave to talk with Mom, who's looking after the Orphans. Passing around the candy, you give some to a purple haired girl named Fram.

After hanging out with her and Mom for a couple hours, getting to know the kids, you return to Dad and help put the finishing touches on the weapons.

"They're handheld due to the lack of hardpoints on the Gawain." Jake states. "I've tuned them for Anti-Infantry purposes, so in a fight against a mobile suit they probably won't due much, but it's better then blowing a hole in the colony."

You thank Dad and meet with Walker who is ready to head out.

Is there anything you want to do before leaving Scarlet?
>>
>>26479529
Nah, let's do this. We wasted enough time already.
>>
>>26479529
Call Madorna. We could use some engineers around here, and his are the best.

You call up Madorna but he doesn't pick up. Instead you leave a message and decide to get back to him later.
>>26479574
You and Walker's Team, made up of 10 Genorider users and 10 plain infantry men armed evenly with machineguns and heavy weapons, drive towards the south side of the colony.

Once you're at the elevators you unload your suit and enter the elevator. The ride takes a few minutes and the silence is deafening.

When the doors open you're met with a suffocating darkness.

"Last time I checked the lights were on down here..." Walker stated as everyone turned on their flashlights.

Turning on the nightvision on you lead Walker and his team into the darkness. You don't see anything, just inactive machinery and un-swept floors. However eventually you start seeing piles of junk. Scrap, bikes, dishwashers, the kind of stuff you'd steal if you were making something.

Before you can get any further however a bright light flashes in front of you and totally blinds you. Switching off the nightvision your screen slowly clears and you see a Desperado armed with a gatling gun...

(Well this is a good place to end things. Tomorrow we'll check up on Dirk!)
>>
>>26479874
See you next time man.
