Humans are...gullible.

You're surprised at how easy it was to trick the humans onboard Poseidon Station into believing you're a member of some shadow organization known as 'The Guild'. You have managed to, relatively secretly, nearly capture every major system here, and as a result, your 'body' thrums with power. Though, that might just be the reactor core.

The only one able to stop your plans now, a human known as Harrison McClain, though you've come to know him as 'Red' for the color of his hair, is held hostage by you in a Security Cell, and you have successfully blamed the station's disaster all on him, making him the perfect scapegoat.
From the data captured on his PDA, you learned of the UGEI, some megacorp responsible for mining operations that he was trying to avoid, as well as a alien species known as Malorians.
While these names are meaningless to you for now, you can't help but wonder their significance.

Just as you thought yourself safe, as you discovered your Black Box in the Storage Deck, you received a transmission from the dead repair crew's base. They will be coming to take their ship back tomorrow, it seems, and you must decide how to deal with them.

The crew appears docile now, and you have located your Black Box, meaning you may escape if you wished. Or you could try to fight off the Pirates, though you're not certain of their strength. Or perhaps you have yet to consider other options...

I plan on making a retractor beam that would lead you straight to the firing end of a mining laser

You may direct your repair drones there, if you wish. With Drone Repair doing so well, it would be a free action.

Or just put everything avaiable into repairing the whole station, prioritizing the security systems.

((1 it is, rolling))

You decide to set upon repairing the Gravity Tethers and the Laser Drill itself, they may be very useful soon, and you'd like to have them online.

Progress:
Laser Drill Equipment (Offline, 55% Damaged)
-*Gravity Tethers (Online, 40% Damaged)

Changes: Gravity Tethers are repaired enough to be active. You feel the anti gravity generators activate and with a carefully aimed shot, you're now able to pull in large asteroids for mining without risk of damaging the station.
...or something else.
>>
>>26607519

>>
>>26607519

Uh...so, next turn already?

Continue repairs, and test the drill.
>>
>>26608091
Was waiting to see if others showed up, but hey let's do it anon.

Progress: Laser Drill Equipment (Online, 40% Damaged)
Gravity Tethers (Online, 20% damaged)

Changes: Laser Drill is now online: capable of slicing through several metric tons of solid rock and stone.Requires energy.

Prisoners: Red is tossing and turning in jail: It seems he doesn't like being locked away. Serves him right for trying to destroy you.

Crew: Happily re watching several old movies they have in the bunk, waiting for the lockdown to end. It's been several hours since these repairs began.
Specialist crew have entered their bunk, worried about the lockdown of the station.

Note: You're yet not in control of the Gravity Tethers and have unspent Bandwidth.
>>
>>26608224
Error, you do have control of the Gravity Tethers. You do not have control of the Laser Drill.
>>
>>26608224
Take control. We will need something offensive.
Also, Can the Tether rotate objects, or just pull them in?
>>
>>26608290
You decide to take control of the Laser Drill, after all it may prove useful, should a ship come in unwelcome. You send the signal and swiftly take control of the Drill.
With the repairs you've done, the access to the console is far easier. Your consciousness sinks in and you feel...power.

The drill powers up and within moments, you see the lasers spin, slicing through the remains of a asteroid in the chamber. This could work...

Changes: You have access to the Laser Drill now!

You continue repairs.

And yes consciousness anon, the Tether is designed to manipulate space debris to prevent the station from taking damage.
>>
>>26608290

The security system has turrets and cameras outside, which we can use if necessary.

Anyway, take control of the drill, and repair it and the security system. Also, end the lockdown, except in the prison area.
>>
>>26608475
Warning: Ending the lockdown will allow humans to roam free. Should they discover your drones milling about repairing the station, with no sign of anyone else, they may question it.

So let me get this straight. We are an A.I., on a space station?

And we are about to be attacked by pirates?

The choice seems simple.

ACTIVATE THE PHOTONIC CANNON.
>>
>>26608541
Yes, and yes it would seem so consciousness anon.

Unfortunately, you do not have a Photon cannon. You do, however, have a laser drill as of now. It's primarily close range at the moment, but that may be altered if you chose to.
>>
>>26608597
Well alright, first things first. Rename the drill as "Photonic Drill" right now. And alter it to make it more deadly.
>>
>>26608652
Request: Alter Laser Drill for long range station to ship capabilities: Bandwidth 1 until the pirates arrive, or 3 to finish in a few hours.

Anything else, consciousness anon?
>>
>>26608701

1 bandwich.

The rest goes to the security and comm systems, respectively.
>>
>>26608791
Repairs at this time are automatic, if slower, Consciousness anon.

If you'd like, you may apply extra bandwidth to increase the repair rates.
>>
>>26608821
>extra bandwich.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Also, ignore the order to lift the lockdown.
>>

Very well then.

Current goals:
Increased Repair Rates
Modify Laser Drill and fast forward to Pirate Attack.

Progress:
TOTAL STATION CONTROL ACHIEVED: Using station functions in conjunction is much more effective now.

Communication Array now at 100%: Allows for collection of long range signals, detecting encrypted channels, with effort, and the ability to send your own signals long range.

Security now at 100%: Allows for use of all security droids and turrets, and it makes it much more difficult to hack open your doors.

Laser Drill now at 100%: Along with modifications, allows the ability to aim the drill at a much farther range to attack enemy ships. Laser still takes time to cut, ineffective against small fighters. Requires energy.

Drone System now at 100%: Allows for increased drone control, and development

Additional computing technology detected: Bandwidth now at 5.

>>
>>26609378
YES! SODAN TIME!
>>
>>26609378
"Well hello there Green Falcon, look who's trying to hide away on some crummy backwater mining rig..."

You awaken as you receive the latest repair and control reports. With complete control of the station, you feel as if you ARE the station itself...you feel...powerful. Which is good, judging from the transmission you're getting.
"Comon now, don't be shy, we have your IFF and everything, you didn't even disable it like last time." You hear the transmission continue. It appears aimed at the Green Falcon, but your communication systems allow you to pick it up.
"So what're we gonna do boss? Blow it up? Can we blow it up!? Oh please say we can blow it up!"
"Not so fast there Bombardier. We want to take the Falcon back alive at least. Tell you what, you swoop in and check for the scum bags that took the damn job. If you see em, fill em with holes."
"And the crew boss?"
"I don't give two fucks. UGEI don't care what happens to some illegal mining base."

You can feel one of the two voices approaching...their signal is stronger. Unfortunately, you're not able to see them until they're much closer, due to your lack of cameras on the outside.
It appears to be a frigate of some sort, crudely remodeled and covered in graffiti. He is currently passing by the Mining Deck. How shall we respond?

Allow Bombardier to close in and board the station in the docking bay. Once inside, shut down every area of the ship that isn't the crew deck and Hydroponics. Make the place appear 'creepy' as you understand humans feel. Once they've entered far enough, vent the air to kill them, then communicate with Big Hawk (other ship) to egg them closer.

You sense the humans approaching...they will not leave the orbit of this star.
You shut down the station's lights and close off vital sections as the ship signals the Docking Bay to open with some manner of hacking device. It is not needed, though you make it appear like it was, as you open the door and let them land inside.

The station is dark, the creak of metal the only comforting sound as the silence of space sets in.
"Man this place is dark...where is everyone?" One of the men onboard Bombardier's ship points out. You slide one of the doors to the hall open, slowly...
"Whoa! What the hell is that? I thought the power was out?"
"Stop bitching, seems like O2 is still flowing, so what does it matter?" A raspier angrier voice called out as the men exited their ship without suits, thinking the place safe...if only they knew.
"Maybe we should just take this place for ourselves, and mine out some cash from these asteroids..." The first man, you've come to call Curly, pointed out.
"Are you stupid? This belt was mined out ages ago! Only an idiot would think this solar system is valuable anymore!"
"Yeah, because we all know you're the mining expert, huh Bomb?" A third voice rang out over the ship the other two left. So there are more inside the ship...
"Just who do you think you are?! You think I won't set your bed on fire just because you're a good shot? Try me, asshole!" Bomb said angrily, earning a silence from the rest.

Curly creeps deeper into the station while Bomb heads for the Falcon, inspecting it for damage.
"Oooh she's a beaut..."
"Hey...let's at least check the Storage Deck, Bomb. I mean it's right her-" That was all you could stand to hear, slamming the doors hard on the man's arm, earning a sharp yell from him as the powerful steel doors tear his arm off, and lock the rest in the Docking Bay
"AGGGAHHHH!"
"What the hell was tha-!" Bomb tries, before Oxygen vents, sucking away any chance the man would have at words.

"Holy fuck, what's going on!?" The one remaining inside the Ship called out, as you hear the engines of the craft kick on. Too late.

Your automated Turrets swing down, prepped to shred the ship apart. The bullets are normally meant for the soft flesh of humans, but it tears nicely into the thin armor on the frigate, blasting at it's engines at first, before managing to cause it to crash into the side of the Docking Bay with a loud crash. Your vision on the Docking Bay falters for a moment, but you regain control in time to see the smoking mess that regains. You're thankful Oxygen is already vented, less you have a fire on your hands.

"Bombardier? Bomb!? What the hell is going on in there?! Answer me!" The 'boss man' demands. "What the fuck..."

You notice he is still out of reach for your main weapons, however, you have the idea to speak to him over comms...

Tell the crew we are under attack by pirates. The repair crew has been killed. It is suspected Red was working with the pirates, hence his trying to make the crew panic and his attempt to forceful take control of the ship's control center from the Guild.

>>26611428
Yes, you may. If you have another option, please mention it as you will.

1 and 3 appears to win

How would you like to word your message to your crew?

Also, don't hack all four ships, only two of them, and then crash the hacked duo into the unhacked couple.

Ok, changing vote to
>2 Hack rescue ships, make them land, and try to lure Cruiser closer to laser them out of the sky.
>>
See >>26611359. We'll need to lure them in close first. They're planning on boarding, let's see their whites first.
>>
What if we send a message, faking Bomb's voice or whoever was the leader of the boarding party, asking if it's alright to take over the station and try look for valuables?

Later we send another message informing of the successful takeover, and tell them to dock and help loot the place.

Seconding this, best chance is taking that ship's weapons out, they won't fire with friendlies Inside. How far can that laser rotate?

As the ships streak across the blanket of space around you, you reach out to them with your mind. The power at your disposal makes this task easy and within seconds, you obtain control of the craft, stealthfully at that, the Cruiser is none the wiser.

Slowly, you bring the ships in for a landing, docking them in the Bay next to the ruined ship that tried to escape your wraith. Your cameras pick up as the human's arm in your corridor twitches violently as the last of it's blood gush out of it. Peculiar, even after death they move for a time...

"...Hello? You punks coming or what?" You hear the pirate captain say.
"Right...so you're not gonna believe this." A loud yell fills the airwaves. "Are you serious?! That's- I don't! Gah!!" The boss yells louder. You begin to notice the more you listen to his voice, the younger , if gruffer he sounds. Like a youngish human who has smoked cancer tubes.
It takes several moments before the boss responds with a heavy sigh. "Fine, we're moving in to dock, I'm storming the whole station my damn self, fuck these outworlders, they're all gonna paint space red tonight!" You hear him shout, as he starts to pull in closer, making it to the docking bay before you allow him to extend his docking tube.
NOTE: Cruisers are rather large-too large to fit in the Docking Bay of our current size. Docking equipment is used to do this. They're currently linked to the Docking Bay via this tube, however.

You send out the alert to your crew just before this, of course. Technically, you're not lying after all.

"Warning crew of Poseidon Station: Several pirate forces are attempting to board your station."
"What?!"
"Are you kidding me?"
"I thought we were suppose to be safe!"
"Calm yourselves. I of 'The Guild' have everything under control."
"Bullshit! You lock down the whole station for a couple of days and suddenly pirates show up? I bet you were trying to loot our store rooms before they got to it first!"

Oh dear...

Can we blow up the docking tube while he's walking over?
>>
>>26611785
Inform them that only the leader's ship is left. The others are either destroyed or under our control.
>>
>>26611837
We should use the camera system, and show the population when we destroy the cruiser
>>
>>26611828
They're too close for the Laser at this point...however you still have security turrets in the Docking Bay.

>>26611837
They appear to be banging on the Lockdown door at this time.
>>
>>26611828
No explosives. However, if we hack the tube.
>>
>>26611871
How about letting them in a bit before trying to kill them? But we hide some security bots inside the Docking bay and have them board the ship to try and help make it easier to hack.
>>
>>26611785
show them a vid feed of the Bombardier boarding the station and being killed.
>>
>>26611929
Security bots are not equipped to make hacking easier (Unless they carried your black box, making your attempt more powerful, but far more dangerous.)

however, letting the humans enter feels wise, as they will likely take cover the moment you start shooting as many holo-vids have told you.

>>26611943
While this is active, one particular human insists that the rest ignore it and is attempting to whip them into a frenzy, a mob even. It was the same troublesome human you heard before...and the same one that destroyed your Security bot!
>>
>>26611871
they are docked to us now? we have a direct line to that ship. HACK IT!

as to the our crew, tell them that "I" am aboard this station as well, and they will have to go over my dead body before they get to them. "I" am fighting them MYSELF and this station's sytems to repell them! I know "I'm" are your new boss now, but please have a bit of faith in me.
>>
>>26611929
Like that, but let's turn off the lights,, cede ground. Play murder in the dark
>>
>>26611980
Maybe not "hacking wise" but they could knock out people remaining on the ship which would help out in a way.
>>
>>26611983
While the difficulty has certainly increased, it would be quite the endeavor Consciousness anon. Are you certain you wish to risk letting the humans board your station while you hack their ship?

A note is made of our brave words, Consciousness Anon. Assuming all other Consciousness wish to calm the crew, roll 1d100 to determine how effective you are.

You wish to calm your crew before you act on the pirates. And thus you try to do so.
'Your' voice comes on the intercoms inside the Crew Deck
"Attention crew of Poseidon. This is an agent of The Guild. I am aboard this vessel now, and these pirates will have to go over *my* dead body to get to you. I am fighting them myself, and the station will help me repel these pirates. I am aware trusting a new boss may be difficult, but I ask that you have a little faith in me. Unless you'd rather fight off armed pirates by yourselves."

Your words seem to have struck home with many, and if not, frightening those too cowardly to fight on their own. The large human loses much of his support. As you can imagine, he is quite angry about this. But, with no support, you notice him fall back into line slowly. It is odd how humans behave in such a 'pack like' manner.
