Last time:
The family shared a few moments between the lot of them.. Faefnir and Madeleine assisted Schwere in translating the Index of the leatherbound book..
They then assigned Schwere to skip ahead to the book that began in the dealing of Blood and Sacrifice, along with giving Wendel a new thing to do besides drinking..
The boy took it up in such earnest!

You were close to sharing a human custom with Maddie, however Kralle so joyfully interrupted...
A prank was pulled upon Schwere, and..
Patticake proceeded between Kralle, Maddie and Faefnir..

Such a happy little family moment, no?

First, Faefnir's stats and abilities!

>>
You bring a hand to meet hers gingerly, vaguely recalling this game in your soul.mem..
Maddie does the same, one hand to Kralle, and the other to you.. For three way Pattycake.

"Alriiiight, then! It goes like this..."
Kralle goes through the motions, a touch quickly though.. Slapping her hands upon her knees, bringing them up and forward to clap with yours, clapping , and then clapping together with Maddie.

It takes you and Maddie a moment to get in the groove of it, however within enough time, you're all singing the song to the little game..

"Patty Cake, Patty Cake
Baker's Man
That I will Master
Fast as I can
Prick it and prick it
And mark it with a K
And throw it in the oven for Kralle and we!"

The three of you go around in a circle with the words for some time, alternating the letter and who it's for, even so far as to include family members that are'nt taking part in the little game.
Kralle simply seems delighted that you've gone out of your way to play with her, even despite the fact that it's a little kiddy game..
If it makes her happy, you don't recall seeing her really smile this much, and hell.. even Maddie seems to be excited at playing with her.. She actually seems really happy about it... Or perhaps its a bit of Jacob slipping through?

By the late afternoon, Kralle finally seems a bit bored, or rather tired with the game...
"So Kralle, did we win?"
The girl grumbles, rubbing at her oculars lazily," You.. you don't win at Pattycake you dummy.."
"You're just saying that-"
"Because you lost, right?" Maddie finishes for you, and your eyes snap open wide a moment as you realize what happened.
>>
"Hey, Maddie.. Can you do that again?"
She turns to you, her golden locks about her face with bedhead that was never corrected," What do you mean, Faefnir?"

"That thing, that you did just now.."
She seems confused," I'm not sure what you're talking about.."

You throw a palm to your forhead, growling out with a bit of frustation," Oh boy, it would've been nice if it were that simple.."

"If what were that simple?" She stares at you, slightly puzzled," Oh, do you mean-
"Ending each other's sentences? Yeah, I do..."

It's not me.
Nor do I enjoy it.
It skews what I have to anticipate my readership to be, of both participants and lurkers alike.

Please do not presume such outrageous behavior from me.
Have a nice day. <3
>>
The days on the road are fraught with nothing but.. Snow.. more snow and boredom. The horses trudge on, being born and bred for such heavy snows, yet there are times where you, yourself have had to clear the path of the impairing white drifts.

The days have been hard for the youngest of the family, no humans to murder, slaughter for days. The gypsy still lies in the caravan, roused now and then whilst in a stupor to nourish him.. The weakness of humans after all..

Schwere and Wendel have been studying the book quietly, the two of them report what they've found, yet they still claim that the spells of the text are still out of their grasp...

Your internal clock tells you that 15 days have passed.

The evergreens thicken through the mountains and eventually as the road comes down, you see that they grow sparse and long sprawling fields of snow and hill lie before you..
And then there's an encampment of red tents bearing the banner of the crimson cross at the foot of the mountain..

Armbrust calls back this news," Reds ahead, at the foot. What shall we do with them, Faefnir?"
The Wagon grows quiet, though there's a sparse giggle from Kralle here and there, and Andrea, along with Edward both seem the worst for wear, their faces cracking into black as they struggle to restrain their delayed murder.
Maddie lays with you this morning, her fingers entwined with yours, she looks into your eyes with those sapphires of hers framed by her mane of gold. Her lips part into a smile," Indeed, what should be done about the Crimson.. Faefnir?"

The family awaits your command... Eagerly.. And Hungrily.

>You are in control.

>[] Kill them all.
>[] Approach them while maintaing guise.
>[] Await Nightfall to transform and fly over them(Wagon and all.
>[] (Other)
>>
>>26740962
Seeing the condition Andrea and Edward seem to be in, it may not be prudent to approach them. Let's fly over.
>>
>>26741001

They can be commanded to stay themselves, however they will only be able to do so to the best of their ability. The rest of the Level twos are better off, though they've got their own itch.
>>
>>26740962
I'd like to kill them all but some of us are wounded so how about this, we use a night to scout out their defences and rest up, and if they're too tough a nut for us to crack we skip them and go further north.
>>
>>26740962
they probably have patrols being sent out every now and then. let's hunt down one of them, help relieve the itch of our younger ones.
>>
>>26740962
Okay, most of the family could use a good murder, especially Andrea and Edward.

But we need to play this smart, we don't know their numbers, we don't know if there are any Exorcists among them, we don't know a lot of stuff.

Stop the cart, and hide it from their view down there.

We should probably start with a high altitude flyover, out of their sight, using our Shadow Control to make it so it's harder to make us out, try to gather as much information on their encampment as possible.

After that we'll want to infiltrate the encampment if possible, see if there are any Exorcists around or defensive measures we ought to be aware of. We can either sneak in and pretend to be part of the population, or we could have Fonso, Andrea, and Edward go somewhere else while we drive the cart in and we'll bring Andrea and Edward in when it's time to murder, the first one seems more practical. We play this careful and we play it smart.

It'll probably be best to attack at night, and we'll want there to be no survivors, we want this place to disappear.

Oh, and first things first, give Maddie a kiss before we go and do anything else.
>>
>>26741077
After 15 days, I think we'd be fully rested up.

And I'd say that, if we went scouting, Faefnir would be the best choice because of his shadow magic.
>>
>>26740962
I believe we should avoid the red at all cost to not reveal our presence to the order.

We should seek some bandits to kill to satisfy our murder itch instead.
>>
>>26740962
Given how little self restraint some of the children have left, I'm tempted to just command the attack before someone snaps and pulls a Jenkins on us. But we would without a doubt take casualties. Maybe we could find or lure out a scouting party to take the edge off the murder lust before we hit the main force?
>>
>>26741185
How about a small village?

I guess we could sneak into their camp and steal a map from them.
>>
>>26741176
We could always enter the camp and report that we saw some demons earlier.

That will divide them and provide us with some informations.
>>
>>26741185
Bandits? Probably not operating all that close to a congregation of the Order. We could pretend to be bandits maybe? Use mundane weapons and avoid magic where possible and stuff.

Can Akuma starve to death? Those black crack things are making me a bit nervous.
>>
>>26741176
>>26741052
How big of a barrier can Schwere make with the talismans she has?

If we wanted to clean up everything and leave no survivors, we could burn up all the bodies and have Schwere gather all the non-organic materials into one ball with her special ability for us to dispose of.
>>
>>26741294
That gives me an idea. We could block some of the camp exits with barriers and use our orbital canon, err plasma magic, to clean the camp with a laser blast from above.

The family can kill off the survivors with our help.
>>
>>26741294
Ok, I have no idea how you're post lead me to the image of Faefnir eating all the victims of the massacre and spitting our a large, dragon-themed (dogs be the Duke's design) Level-1 Akuma containing every lingering soul from the battlefield (which I guess Maddie would have had to collect while we where busy baking).

No idea how I got there at all.
>>
>>26741375
Remember, as long as our family can see the blast it'll count toward feeding them. I think...
>>
>>26741378
Soul golems?
>>
>>26741405
They'll have to be involved, I think.
>>
>>26741427
This is why I said "some" exits should be blocked. Remember Temes?
>>
Link here for counting!

>[] Fly above and unleash a charged particle beam to cut swathes through the camp while the family mops up those that flee.
>[] Issue the family the order to wait, and scout them alone during nightfall.
>[] Approach the Crimson, under disguise, ordering Andrea and Edward to pretend to be corpses under Fonso's tarp.
>[] Fly the entire Wagon over.

>>
>>26741481
Um. Did you mean to link to someone else?

>>26741484
>Issue order to wait, scout at nightfall

Question, Duke. Does Maddie possess a Presence like us? That is to say, can she command the others like we can?
>>
>>26741525
I thought your post implied they weren't in my plan. My bad.

>>26741484
>[] Issue the family the order to wait, and scout them alone during nightfall.
this, then
>[] Fly above and unleash a charged particle beam to cut swathes through the camp while the family mops up those that flee.
>>
>>26741484
[X] Issue the family the order to wait, and scout them alone during nightfall.

We don't know what defenses they have or if they have Exorcists with them. A single Exorcist, depending on their Innocence, could utterly cock up the plasma attack plan. We need information on their numbers and composition.
>>
>>26741542
I....I was replying to the other guy who asked if watching the carnage from afar was all it would take to sate Ed and Andrea's hunger.
>>
>>26741484
issue family to wait and scout at nightfall.

let's try to capture some mages alive and give Alice a call to make a little delivery.
>>
>>26741583
We may even want to experiment on the humans ourselves. They may not all necessarily be magic users, after all.
>>
>>26741604
We do want to experiment with trying to make more people like Fonso, and that means taking some normal people prisoner for experimentation. Armbrust should be able to handle that, find a patrol without any mages, knock them out with the poison that makes them go to sleep, and bam.
>>
>>26741583
Ooh I forgot we need some for test subjects.
>>
>>26741578
Oh, I mainly meant it should help take the edge off (obviously they're craving their own kills) and contribute to their growth (Nearly free XP, short of). I know the poor dears need to get their little mitts dirty.
>>
>>26741583
That may be a good idea. Now the question is: bread and pastry wrapping paper or little akumas wrapping paper?

>>26741636
What kind of curse should we give them? I'd say we avoid the eyes.
>>
>>26741525

Yes, she does. He inherited it with the memory you've given her. She is capable of contradicting your orders.

Seems the command is to await nightfall... Right then.

Scouting is an Agility based roll.
Roll 1d20. Devil's Luck applies to 2 and 17 with 1-2 being crit-range.
Yes, I'm aware that this leaves 3 numbers that can critfail. This is Devil's Luck.
Agility adds +7 modifier.
Shadow Cloak +5
Your DC is 20 for evading all detection
Your DC will often be 20 or higher for nothing to go wrong.
>>
>>26741583
Maybe we could write Morgan a little note on the test subject? Actually, sending stuff to Morgan might adversely affect our synch score if we don't run it by Maddie first, and you know what Maddie thinks of /Morgan/.

So, you are telling us to go for the eyes?

hmmm

I am curious, what would happen if we cursed someone's navel?
>>
>>26741741
With Devil's luck off, Fail range is 1-2 and crit range is 17-20. Devil's luck is nice as it obscures the rolls with the best of three being taken.

If you roll 16 and 3, the 16 will be taken. If you roll 2 and 16, the 2 will be taken.
It works to your advantage... Usually.
>>
>>26741691
Actually, I was hoping to go for the tongue. See if we could gift silver tongued persuasion. Could help us incite doubt and rebellion against the church, the exorcists, God and the Devil. Just a thought.
>>
>>26741665
So I'm confused. What are the numbers that can critfail?

1-2, and 17 are our critfails?

>>
>>26741757
What about their stomach?
>>
>>26741776
Going forward I think the number 13 might be due some significance if you want to balance the low roll critrange against the high. Obviously wouldn't count here.
>>
>>26741786
>right?

Right.
>>
>>26741776
Wait, what do you mean it obscures the rolls? How would it be normally?
>>
Rolled 17

>>26741884
>>26741884
My guess it would normally be a single roll.
>>
>>26741986
That's how we did things before, even when we turned Devil's Luck off for a crit inversion.
>>
>>26741986
I explained it there...

If a 2 is rolled, then it'll be taken over a 16 as per the crit range.
If a 3 and 16 are rolled, there is no crit, the 16 will be taken.

So out of..
2
6
16
We use the 2.
If it's
3
5
and 17
We use the 17 as it's in range.
If it's:
3
5
16
You get the 16 as the highest out of range.
>>
>>26742040
That's with Devil's Luck on? But what about with it off?
>>
>>26741986
I think it's blinding the universe from seeing our actual (or current) citrate while rolling. When in confused, space-time grudgingly gives us the benefit of the doubt (critfail avoided!) but reality's janitor gets a little closer to finding us...
>>
>>26742040
That wasn't the question Duke.

>Devil's luck is nice as it obscures the rolls with the best of three being taken.

Does this mean we need devil's luck on to have 3 rolls and the take the best one?
>>
You give Maddie a kiss upon the lips, that human custom that the two of you have grown so fond of..

Rising from your entanglement, your fingers slowly slip from hers, you stand in the middle of the wagon, riding the bumps with your innate grace and balance," Stop the Wagon." As the words leave your mouth, as a whisper, the horses are made to stop just as abruptly.

The Covered Cart stops, and all is quiet save for the breathing of the beasts outside.
You look around at your family, your eyes staying upon Andrea and Edward a moment longer than the others.
"Faef.. Faefnir.. Hey.. Are we.. are we going to kill them? I'd.. Dealing with this itch.. This itch, I just can't take it anymore.. It's bothersome, you know?" Edward pleads with you, his cold blue eyes radiate his demonic nature as the black cracks run strong.

Then there's the weakness of the Akuma.. Perhaps Maashiima would pity him? Yet you are not him, You take a few steps and kneel beside the two demons, that shiver with their bloodlust," You two will indeed have your taste of blood tonight.. For now, you must wait. Bear with me a little longer."
Andrea nods quietly, and a shivering Edward beggars," Thank you.. Thank you.."

There's no fire lit that night as the wagon is moved betwixt the treeline.

Everyone awaits nightfall, quietly and patiently..

Madeleine leans over beside you, to whisper in your ear,"Andrea and Edward are barely restraining their intent to kill humans.. yet they're not.. targeting Fonso.. There's something to make of that, isn't there?" You look to the wagon, and them to the two demons, the lines in their face running deep.
>>
"Something to make of that.. indeed."

The sun sets and you rise, your flesh flaking away like scorched ash to reveal your true form,"I will go on ahead, and Alone. Await my signal if I deem attack appropriate..
"You're going alone?" Madeleine stands, reaching out for you, and you turn to her, chuckling.
"I'm the most appropriate.. Control over shadow, swift, and I can fly. I'll be in and out without any trouble.." You cut off all of your heat, your armor growing black and radiating a distinct absence of light that obscures your form.
"I'll be fine, may the Devil guide our hands tonight, and Maddie, get everyone into position, surround the camp from the treeline."

Maddie looks at you a bit sadly," As you wish Faefnir, I'll trust you.. Don't leave me for long..."
You place a shadow claw upon her shoulder, looking down on her, bringing her chin up with the other," Oh, I shan't my love.. I shan't."

And with that, you break out into the night, a new moon concealing your visage. A good omen, the best Omen that you could ask for as you speedily make your way to the camp within the hour.

Fires are bright and they illuminate the center of the encampment. From a rough number count and estimate, you'd wager that there are no less than five hundred Crimsons here, along with no less then two thousand soldiers.. They guard the foot of the mountain and block the path north..

This doesn't look like a typical border-guard.. As you look on from the outskirts, the shadows around you, there seem to be even more here... Perhaps five thousand.. maybe more soldiers on top of your initial count..

This is an encampment for war.. However..
You turn on your olfactories, taking in the night air.
The fires burn no dead this night.

There is a great tent in the middle of the encampment, many more upon the outskirts, and guards on patrol everywhere. On guard against demons or.. Wait.. There are mages here as well. You see one charging a talisman that's positioned around the camp..

[X] Lure a guard away and take their form.

Well at least with 2000 soldiers I doubt anyone is going to notice a random guard acting differently.

Also, there are going to be far more than 2500+ people here, that's just the soldiers and the Crimsons. I doubt that includes the support personnel, the baggage train, the whores and campwives, the servants, the squires, the fletchers, the blacksmiths, the cooks, the traders.

I'd hazard a guess, based on me remembering that there were about 3 non-combat personnel to each soldier in a standard medieval army, that there are about 10,000 people here. Dayumn.

>>26742429
Damn you Lupa.

Any guess on what they are going to war against. Not us certainly?
>>
>>26742415
No. Not that. That's a horrible idea.

They're the Crimson. They're more informed than the common rabble. If these guys are properly trained, they'd assume the corpse lady to be a demon, rather than a ghost.

>>26742288
Lure a guard away and take their form.

The mage is charging the talisman that's powering the barrier, right?
>>
>>26742469

We did kinda cause some stuff to happen with our crit inversions.

If you remember.
>>
>>26742510

>>26742510
Oh...that.

So the crimson order also stands as this land's regular army I take it. Or is at least part of it.
>>
>>26742493
From what you can tell. The Talisman is a bit far, though you see that its markings are a rather unlike what you've seen on their other talismans.

>>26742538
The rider fell down a mountain.

Seems the votes are for luring away the guard...

Will you Reveal yourself or stay hidden?
>>
We should probably gather as much information as we can. If an enemy encampment is nearby, we could force a battle to start prematurely. We'd be able to get in kills at that time and, if we play our cards right, we could get the side with the Crimson to believe that the other side uses demons.

>>26742573
Hidden.
>>
>>26742288
Might want to pick off a guard patrol and/or some support staff like washerwomen or whores, then leave. We can't really infiltrate this camp well unless there is an influx of new people so I think it's best if we grab a bite and run.
>>
>>26742573
Ah, so the talismans for the barrier are somewhere else. Gotcha.
>>
>>26742585
We can infiltrate it. They open up the barriers for their own men, after all.

>>
>>26742493
>corpse lady to be a demon, rather than a ghost.

Someone's mentioned before.. Often the whole demon accusation thing is seen as false, supersitition pandering and the like..

It's awful when you're the demon and any strange action you take gets you called out as such.. hm?

>>26742625
Oh.. Oh my...
>>
>>26742585
There's thousands of people here, this is not a tight knit band where everyone knows each other. If we get past the barrier through some method, either pretending to be someone else or just pushing through we can become another face in the crowd.
>>
>>26742638
Well, it's really only the Crimson and Order that are well informed, right? Everyone else is just as ignorant of the Akuma as the people in the manga, I assume.
>>
>>26742625
well, we look okay from far away.
>>
>>26742699

So why use our disguise that's dressed in posh funeral clothes when we can use our normal Jacob disguise that's dressed in simpler peasant attire?

>>26742803
This is a delicious plot hook that seems to be related to one of our crit inversions from before. It would do us some good to get some IC knowledge on the political undercurrents of the land we're entering.
>>
Erm.. Running into this problem again with discussion..

With a slow reversion to your Human-form of Jacob, you maintain your cloak and run your mana meter...

>Barrier reading.... 800 MPU.
MPU.. mana per unit... Fonso's rating during his spike was around 500.... with ambient mana dropping down to the the 20's and 10's.

Your own readings clock you at emitting mana disturbance at around 1k.. For reference.. Though it takes time to gather up that much.

Technicalities aside, you feel it best not to push through this barrier.. You hear voices speaking, men coming closer in the snowfall.
You look about yourself and then to the snow.. Flopping over into it, putting the icy dust all over your body as you let your body feign a shiver, a very good one.
"H-h-help.. me..." You whisper.. You do it again, and again as the men come closer.

You see a lantern light through the palisade,"Someone out there?" A strong and stern voice calls.
A second accompanies," S-sirrah, I.. I don't think I heard anyone."
"Nonsense," Says the first," The barrier fired, there's someone out there. This comes from the south, while our enemies are North..." There's a pause.
"Is there anyone out there?! Respond at once!"

"Help... Help.. Me..." You say a touch louder, to reach the ears of this sad, sad believer.
"Hear that? Indeed there is someone out there.. Two Reds, with me! Two for the gate, and five Greys watch on for warning! There is someone out there!"

>Success may be continued along this path... You feel that they'll bring you inside as is..
>[] Will you change this course?

Lets eat some right now, maybe capture one.
We shouldn't be separated from Maddie too long. That was the Noah condition.
>>
>>26743284
We don't want to be put under close watch.

Since we're close enough to be heard, but hard to see, I assume that we have enough cover around us to stealthily stalk these guys, right? Let's try to eat one of the Reds (who I assume is either a mage or, at least, a knight equipped with talismans) then fake looking around for a while.

If they're unable to find the man (Faefnir), they'll probably put their guard up, but they may still consider the possibility that they were just unable to find the man and that he died of the cold.

As the barrier is opened to let out the small party, you groan in the snow, turning over, with the crystals spraying about by an especially frigid wind," Help.. I..."
"Say no more," A burly knight is at the lead, the strong voice bears a shield and sword, yet the sword is sheathed, the two that follow bear lanterns respectively that burn with an ethereal scarlet red, painting the snow in the same light.

You breathe weakly, reaching up at the burly man, his features concealed even now by his armor, visor and all.. How can they see with such things? "Help.. Me.. I... I.."
The man kneels down next to you, to listen to your words and offering a hand," You may speak.. The other men stand around you, others watch on from the gate..
The big one looks down to you, then up to the other men,"You look the worse for wear.. What are you doing out here.. Comrade?"

That voice... That voice... Where have you heard it from before...?
"I....I..van?" You breathe weakly, acting delirious from the cold," Is.. is that you?" The first thing that you thought of...

The burly man is silent for a moment, and the other knights shift uncomfortably in their armor, making little noise from the winter padding to keep out the cold.

In the Scarlet light, the man withdraws his hand, and slowly removes his helmet," Indeed, that is my name comrade.." You see a thick, yet short beard unfurl from beneath the helm,"Do I.. Know you?" He asks as his helm is off, showing his face... It's uncanny.. it's.. identical.. You reach out, a state of shock... "Ivan.. Ivan.. that is.. it's you?"

The other men seem to grow impatient," Lieutenant Armbrust, do you know this man from somewhere? It is odd that a peasant would be out her wandering in the snow.. It is likely to be a demon..Prepare the Talismans for capture." The man opposite 'Ivan' pulls out a cross stake engraved with runes.
The 'lieutenant' makes no move to stop him, and rises himself, reaching for his sword...
>>

"Wendel misses you. He's taken to drinking heavily of late."
Perhaps rib him about his inventiveness in his last name.
"If you're going to take a false name at least make it one that won't get seen through in half a second by any of the family."
Just sampling dialogue for various levels of subtlety. Also while we are here we should be on the lookout for the Akuma who died to mr. Breath back before we were even a dragon.

A chilling air blows past the bearded man that looks so much like Ivan, his eyes glint at you with some.. hint of recognition...

Further north... A king walks through the snows, amidst the lines of his men, pits dug into the earth to conceal the light of there fires, woman, child, and man alike armed with what armor they could make, as they huddle around for warmth, trying to catch some sleep in the night. He places a hand upon a few of them. Reassuring them that their king cares.

A circle of men in Skin and Rags stands amidst their number, speaking to the echoes in the land, the lines that vein magic across the world.
"Have they begun the ritual?" The King speaks to nothing in particular...
"Yes... and it nears completion... The Red of England shall run with the force they conjure." Speaks a shadow, as the king nods.
"The Highlanders are at the ready.. The Crimson do not attack at night, yet they prepare their spells just as we do.."
"Yet they limit themselves to magic approved by their order.. The sacrifice involved in this? It will yield so much more power..."
The king sighs to this shadow as a maiden's heart is plucked from her body with a muffled scream, the echo of the vein's taint travels through the earth..
"The power drawn.. will make you King of England as well."
The King that walks with his people sighs heavily with the weight of his daughter's death in his mind, a gut-wrenching sacrifice,"I only seek to protect my people."

"We apologize if you are indeed human... A necessary precaution against the forces of evil. Do not struggle too much, The Stake will pierce your heart should you deign to break free."
Ivan looks down at you, holding his breath, seeming conflicted..

"Ivan, I know that you're Ivan.. I'm Jacob.. Jacob the Baker.. Comrades, you know?"
The spell continues to weave around you, slowly binding you.

Ivan Armbrust seems to choke, his eyes fix on you for a moment, and he then places his hand upon the Scarlet Stake, pulling it off of you.
The other soldiers stare on through their visors, hands upon their swords,"Lieutenant, what are you-"
"If there are others.. others that may be demons, he can take us to them.. Swords at his back, we will assess whether he's human or not."
"If there are others that are demons, we should inform the Exorcist Knight-commander of this. She would like to know of this for proper extermination."

>>26745246
Morgan talked him down to merely testing the receptiveness to commands from Noah of the family. As you might recall there was that whole debacle with the self-destruct.
>>
>>26745275
Nope. Six high crits, five low. It's always been played that a 95 is a crit.

I must say the king is really getting his money's worth from that ritual. He managed to summon demons among the ranks of the crimson and subvert their chain of command.
>>
Now the question is:

Are we going to do like all dangerous female character we encountered and try to pick up the exorcist with baking pun pick up lines?
>>
>>26745289
I thought that was just Morgan. That explains why people were defending her. Still pissed about the whole double cross thing though.
>>
>>26745349
While looking like the miracle that the scottish king summoned through his sacrifice.. then we teach him the ways to bring her back.
>>
>>26745364
we did win points back with the Doctor by A not being a douche about it if a little ticked and B suggesting how best to use the Skulls we helped make
>>
>>26745308
I think we're determined not to see them as a monolithic entity. Alice is a bro and Morgan may (or may not) still be a friend. We are going to fuck Pity over every chance we get until he is broken and incapable of feeling anything but Envy for anyone else. Then we're baking him into a cake and feeding him to both our families.
>>
>>26745358
You know us so well.
>>
>>26745358
How is that even a question?
Of course we do.
>>
>>26745308
...Because we're a Noah also?
And because we're on the same side as them regardless?

From the Duke's point of view, we were a defective evolving murder-machine that doesn't have to obey him, and makes other akuma not obey him. The Duke is a bit of a control freak to begin with, so of course something like us is gonna scare him. We could very well just say, "Fuck off, we're gonna turn all the akuma to our side and just go bake and shit."

>>26745358
Do you even have to ask? We're gonna ask her to try our baguette. ...and we need to think of some puns for Maddie. We're a married man now after all. (..or something.)

Arthur is an Exorcist. A Cardinal. He's not a Crimson, but he is affiliated with the Church proper.

And hey. At least he wasn't as much of a jerk as the Asher was.
>>
>>26745391
Technically we are half of a Noah.
Then there is the whole thing of also being an Akuma.
>>
>>26745415
We'll knead her buns all night long. Because of all the ladies out there she's the one who makes our baguette rise to the occasion in her oven.
>>
>>26745449
Actually, this is unclear. The two parts of bondurmu might actually be two full disciples sharing the same memory of Noah.
>>
Dearest Duke, in our latest set of upgrades did we gain the ability to make our bread actually look like bread as opposed to the "burnt pumpernickel" look of our old bread?
>>
>>26745476
So we are a quarter of a Noah?
>>
>>26745476
Bondomu takes up the slots of two of the thirteen disciples of Noah. Can't remember which two but I'd say the slots are worth it for the full on reality warping when you have a mature Bondomu.
>>
>>26745460
And yet she will be the one to put the buns in our oven... Akuma/Noah biology must be so confusing to Exorcists. Imagine trying to explain that mid speech.
>>
>>26745496
We're a headache is what we are
>>
>>26745496
I think we and Maddie are actually two full disciples. Except the power derived from our memory requires both of the disciples to be present.
>>
>>26745482
Oh yeah.

Adding to this, how much of a bonus does our bread give now? At level 2 of our Creation Oven, our stat boosting recipes got a +1 to their effect.

"Some say that I am." A familiar voice rings from outside of your sight, spooking the soldiers, as they turn their backs on you, drawing their swords.
"Quite the pitiable predicament you're in right now, Dragon..." Another.. less pleasant familiar voice from out of your sight.

"Who goes there?!" The two men call out, only a girl and man's laughter ring out in the scarlet dark.
"Jacob's family." A woman whispers, as one of the men seizes up, a woman holding him by his face as his flesh boils.
You rise abruptly to see the cloaked woman do nothing as the other soldier swings his runed sword, catching on the arm of a man that steps forward,"Irony of God... Quite.. Ironic, hm?" The assailant shudders back and makes a second swing to his side, yet it's cut short as the cloaked man grabs him by the helm and crushes it like a can, despite enchantments.
"Simply.. a pity..."
As the two men fall, you see the faces of the cloaked people...

Maashiima and Morganstand before you as Ivan shakes, reaching for his sword, holding his shield before him," Y-you..."
You place a hand upon his armor, a disarming smile," We need to bring you back home as well Ivan.. The family's missed you."

"Still treating other machines as family.. Laughable.. though I suppose I can overlook this abomination with the improvement of my relationship with Ali-"
The little Noah leaps out of a rabbit hole, tackling you to the ground, giggling and cuddling you," Ohhh Faefnir, you're the best, best, best! We need some more of THAT for Maashiima, we had so much fun!"

You regain your composure, patting the back of your head," Now, now, my dear Alice.. We are right outside enemy lines.. We should not tarry here, should we?"
>>
Morgan comes forward," We've killed the senties on guard, I tampered with a few of their Talismans to allow Dark Matter creatures through.. However the theurges are bound to find the changes in their rounds. Indeed, we should be going. The question is.." Morgan puts down her hood, letting her black hair free to catch the scarlet lanterns that now rest in the snow," Will you be joining us?"

>>
>>26745590
If we are going at them with Three full Noah then should we bring in the family for support?
>>
>>26745583
Maashiima, you're not fooling anybody. You're a nerd, man. Stop making thematic one-liners based on your power.

>>26745590
Yes. Let's get going.

Let's also express our surprise and gratitude at this impromptu visit.
>>
>>26745590
Sure thing. Make sure to be polite and let the Noah take point. Can't very well risk the family.
>>
>>26745660
Fuck Noah stuff.
>>
>>26745590
"Dearest family, while unexpected this visit fills my black heart. Though I'm afraid I must continue to travel with my dear family of monsters, I trust the bonds of family are not unknown by the Noah? And bedsides I'm sure the good Doctors work would go that much smoother with the Crimson tripping over themselves to find us."
"Wonderfull to see you again dearest Morgan, and I trust my little sister has been playing nice with others. As for events of the past Maashiima, we'll leave those or another time.... Unless you'd all rather join us and make this a....Family affair?"
>>
>>26745667
We should give some affection to Morgan in particular. She probably needs it.

Could we use our presence on Ivan to make him snap out of it?
>>
>>26745590
>>26745660
I see.

Well, we're glad to see them again, and we appreciate their help, but we're on our way to go make Scotland worse.

[x]Stay at the camp.

Bring in the other akuma to hit and run the camp. We get in, we kill a lot of people, we get out. There's too many people for us to deal with, so we make it quick.
>>
>>26745590
What is Ivan doing? Standing around looking confused? Does he know he is/was an Akuma?
>>
>>26745590
later we should bond with Maddie so we can show Ivan who he really is and how much the family has missed him
>>
>>26745667

Quite a pity that you don't enjoy the pity's expression of pity. He would only ask this pittance of your humor however. Do not pity him, for he pities all for the pity of the Noah.

I could probably fit more pity in there... A pity that it had to come to an end..
>>
I thought we were keeping the whole 'we're a noah' thing to ourselves?
>>
>>26745590
"If nothing else I should explain what's happening to the family and go get Maddie. After all as Alice can tell you it just would not do to have just half of Bondomu. Also Schwere and Wendell have found a most interesting book. They may need some help translating it. I don't suppose I could bring the Family with me could I?" Oh great we're going to end up as Tikki only instead of balancing human and Noah lives we'll be balancing Akuma and Noah.
>>
>>26745695
I don't know if the other Noah actually know about us being Bondormu yet. Might want to call Alice our little sister.
>>
>>26745715

Quite confused, though calming down a bit with your reassurance.
>>
>>26745660
I'm confused. Do they want us to enter the encampment with them? Or do they want us to pass through the encampment and exit out the other side with them?

>>26745695
We only know that Alice knows that we're Bondomu. So don't refer to them as family.
>>
>>26745590
With a spare hand pat Alice on the head like a kitten. Because we ought to treat out adorable little sister well.

"Well, I must say I did not expect to see the two of you here. It's been quite some time. Morgan, how has your research been going of late? I have missed your ideas and plots.

Is this to be a mission of infiltration or one of wanton destruction?"

If we're trying to be quiet having the Family come in right now is a bad idea, if we're doing stuff in here we can hold off on summoning the Family and murderizing everything. Though bringing Maddie in would probably be a good idea at this juncture. It shouldn't be too hard to send a signal to her.

>>26745725
I wouldn't go blathering that we're Bondomu, let's keep that quiet, same with the Necronomicon.
>>
>>26745726

>>
>>26745726
>"Jacob's family." A woman whispers, as one of the men seizes up, a woman holding him by his face as his flesh boils.

>>26745770
Lets pick up Maddie.

We shouldn't reveal ourself as Bondormu unless the situation asks for it.
>>
>>26745770
in that case maybe not yet
>>
>>26745770
Just to make it clear do they want us to go fuck up the reds or to leave the family and go somewhere else?

let's pick up Maddie. and Fonso. let's just hope that we won't be gone long, and be back before the crimson suspect anything so that the slaughter can begin.
>>
>>26745770
if they're offering to help with the camp sure, if they're asking us to leave with them then I'd ask they wait til after the family has had its fun
>>
>>26745770
Actually, shouldn't we ask what are the goals of the operation tonight before joining?
>>
>>26745770
I vote we don't tell them about the Bman thing.
>>
>>26745750
Oh. Delayed reaction, hah! The implication of it didn't

>>26745590
Look at Alice and try to see if she shared our little secret.

>>26745770
Ask Morgan how much of our time she intends to take. While we'd be more than happy to do whatever she asks of us, we can't abandon our family.
>>
>>26745770
Let's get Maddie, don't tell them we're Bondomu, and before all of that find what they're here to do. If the mission is of the sort that the whole Family, bloodthirsty as they are, would make it easier we should take them along.
>>
>>26745770
I think I may have figured out the reason for Maashima's betrayal of us. He needed to be at very high pity levels to fight Arthur. The double betrayal lets him pity pretty much everyone involved. Be it the bystanders(a pity they had to get caught up in this) to our family (quite the waste what a pity) to Arthur himself(what a pitifully naive exorcist to think I would keep my word). TLDR Maashima is a Revolver Ocelot that gains strength from the betrayals. Truly a pity that explaining the plan to us would've ruined it.
>>
>>26745934
I think he is just a dick.
>>
>>26745962
Well that too but he had a reason for that bit of dickery
>>
>>26745590
The sentries have been killed and the barrier talismans altered. We could easily make a pit stop with our family and tell them to pass through to the other side so that we can meet up with them later. Andrea and Edward will, regrettably, have to go on without killing anything for a while. But we can ask Schwere and Armbrust to help with that; just give them permission to prey on the first village they find, if they think they can get away with it.

>>26745934
Yeah, that was actually brought up in the thread itself.
>>
>>26745982
I would say the main reason was that he wanted to kill us and the extra power was just a pleasant bonus.
>>
I think we are thinking too much about the Noah's and way way too little about how Ivan pulled a Jesus.
>>
>>26746117
Well, we really can't explain that.

What's our consensus, anyway, Duke? Have you figured it out?
>>
You pet Alice's head, and slowly push yourself back up as the girl nuzzles her nose against yours and bounds off, to stand with the others.. Or float on nothing.. rather.

"It's quite good to see you again Morgan, especially after all this time.. How are your studies going?" You look to Ivan, who's eyes are wide, almost in shock as he gawks at what's happening before him.
You hold a hand out to him, and he slowly grabs it to pull you up, Maashiima raises an eyebrow in interest," Oh? Do you know this glorious soldier of the red?"
You look to Morgan, ignoring the question of Maashiima,"Well?"

The Witch clears her throat," Yes, it has been quite some time.. I was delighted to receive your bread a fortnight ago.. Studies are provinfg slow, though the skulls are stable. We really should be leaving however. It would be bad if soldiers caught wind of our human identities.. The only one aware is Arthur.. and we intend to amend that in time as well.. Alice?"
The child Noah slips down into one of her portals, abruptly," Charged, primed, and ready to blow! I mean.. Uh.. Go! Yes, We're going!"

Morgan gives a deep sigh.

"I can't leave my family Morgan.. and at the very least, I'd need to reunite with Madeleine, she worries for me.."
Morgan's expression cracks, veins run across her face in anger, yet she soon resumes a placid expression," So, that one is still alive.. Have you.. Committed to her?"

"That is besides the point Morgan, what would the Noah be doing here, three at that to pick me up?"
>>
"The Doctor learned of your location moments ago through that one," Morgan points at the currently clueless Ivan," He would like to speak with you, and we haven't the time to argue."

Maashiima steps forward, snow crushed beneath his feet,"Indeed, if the Crimson signal alarm now, they'll search this entire area, and be on guard. They're already bound to prepare for future attacks.. Through sheer manpower, they could overwhelm us with the help of their three exorcists..."

Morgan clears her throat, and Maashiima steps away from you as she gives him a hard glare for some moments. Her eyes locked upon him," There is also a distortion of mana headed this way, much akin to dark energy. It would be best of we weren't here for when it hit."

You look up to the mountain, no, the treeline where the others should be lying in wait," And of them... You would not bring them?"

"The meeting is in a part of Alice's world, though not wonderland.. we only have so much space..."

"So, I could not bring Madeleine?"
Morgan grimaces at that, veins jutting out upon her face as its still placid," Why are you fixated upon that one.."

>>
>>26746117
The we're seeing Ivan, not his current body. And the Memory just moved to the nearest acceptable vessel, it's how the Noah survive.
>>
>>26746117
He probably never died. The high priest of the order probably carries an innocence that reprogram Akumas, like Maria's innocence in the manga.
>>
>>26746143
[X] Refuse departure, and transform to begin a small killing spree.

Let us meet this distortion and break bread with them.
On another note ensure that Ivan doesn't leave our sight.
>>
>>26746153
Ivan wasnt a Noah. He was just a plain Akuma.
Even if he was a Noah how the hell did he end up looking the exact same as before he died?
>>
>>26746143
We should leave Maddie with the rest of our party.

We can't refuse the Doctor's request, but we can't leave the family without protection.

Ask to make a pit stop so that we can leave instructions with the family on where to go.

ALSO, the Doctor sensed us through Ivan Armbrust, huh? Hmmm.....
>>
>>26746143
Tell her something like she lost the right to know that when she double crossed us.
>>
>>26746143
Can we attempt to communicate with Maddie due to our shared soul, or is our sync too low for that?

Either case, we definitely need to call off the family and tell them to find somewhere safe before even considering Noah Stuff(tm).

Also don't we have stigmata in our akuma form now? I think transforming would out us, right?
>>
>>26746204
Whatever happened to him broke the bonds to us.

>>26746143
Lets meet the Doctor but do a small pit stop to leave instructions to the family.
>>
>>26746172
I didnt read the manga but we saw him die with our own two oculars didnt we?
>>
>>26746143
no, we need to get Maddie first. She might panic if we don't inform her what happened, and she might order an attack, and bad things happen.

also, I'm for revealing our Noah nature. it can only help us at this point.

"Why, yes, Morgan, we do share a certain... Bond."

and at that use that unaccessed Noah form that I assume we can use.
>>
>>26746172
No the manga it is Cross using sorcery of dubiously heretical nature to reprogram the Akuma.
>>
>>26746143
So, our youngest children are destined to starve to death or be butchered by the coming storm almost regardless of what we do here?
>>
I'd say that splitting the group will only end badly considering we don't know the Duke's intentions.
>>
>>26746240
What? No. Definitely not.

Yeesh.
>>
>>26746263
The Grave of Maria probably plays a role in that, as it gives control over humans and Akumas.
>>
>>26746143
>[x] Insist on bringing Maddie.

It's gonna be fucking awkward if we get there and the Duke is all "Where's your other half bro?"

Besides that, we should put Schwere in charge of the family, and have them get away from the Crimson camp. This situation was too big to begin with, and having them attack while we're gone is a terrible idea.

>>26746270
They aren't gonna starve. I don't think they can. Them having some lean days is better than them getting murdered by a bunch of Crimsons.
>>
>>26746277
Fuck her getting all bitchy after she left us to die.
>>
>>26746262
Meh, fuck it. Being his rebellious Noah Family member is better than being his runaway pet. NOAH FORM IS GO.
>>
>>26746143
>[X] Insist on bringing Maddie.

"I value her council and perspective dear Morgan. She thinks of things I would not and looks at the world with a different point of view. I find that we together are cleverer and wiser than I am alone.

As you say we do not have the time to argue and Adam wishes to see me. I do not wish to do this without Maddie. Besides, I must inform my Family of what is happening and give them instructions as to what to do in my absence. It shall add no additional time to bring her with."
>>
>>26746299
Guys.

What's our consensus on this.

Because I am almost certainly against acting like a bitch.
>>
>>26746247

If they're not awarem it could just be part of your design.. an oddity.
>>26746258
No, no you didn't Your Oculars saw him get dragged away and then you heard a sound.

>>26746263
Crux is a good play on the name, no?
>>
>>26746262
I'd prefer not to tell them that, Bondomu told us to keep that a secret for a reason. We don't know how Adam will react if he finds that Noah souls are in Akuma, and one thing I would rather like to avoid at the moment is an unpredictable Earl.
>>
Where do we leave Ivan while all this is going on?
>>
>>26746240
We're the Noah of bonds. Bonds empower us, they let us manipulate others. Why are you trying to burn our bond (or leverage) with Morgan (who somehow is resisting the urge to dissect us to figure our what makes this machine so special)? Seriously, I get you're pulling Gale level Betrayl induced bloodlust here, but that's not the smart play and kind of our of character anyway.
>>
>>26746325
I against being nice since apparently she still feels she has a claim to Faefnir after leaving him to die.
We should disregard these jerks, except Alice she's cool, and just take Ivan back to the family.
>>
>>26746262
Don't believe we have actually unlocked our Noah form yet. We haven't gone through a proper Awakening.(Actually come to think of it we probably should do that on the Arc to avoid blood trail tracking) I'm reasonably certain that we (in this case referring to Faefnir) have not accepted our nature as Noah (or just the memory) enough to access a Noah form. We should do the "we share a certain bond" but also explain that we have a surprise for Morgan waiting with the Family (we got her a gypsy complete with knockout drugs).
>>
>>26746325
Lets give her a non answer by simply telling her that she will understand soon enough why.
>>
>>26746341
I don't remember Bondomu ever told us to keep that a secret. and besides, the Earl is like any other Noah. Unpredictable, except when it comes to other family. He'll welcome us even if we are a bit unusual.
>>
>>26746341
Yes, this. We need to keep this promise.

>>26746343
The Doctor saw us through Ivan. So I assume he's coming with us.
>>
>>26746340
Holy shit Ivan never died! I thought he got ripped in half for some reason.
>>26746341
I forgot we promised that. Keep our lips sealed lads what sort of gentleman would we be if we broke promises.
>>
>>26746143
Alice dear? Could I possibly by safe harbor from this coming storm, for my family? Or is the cost to you too high in this case?

Bribe with bread!
>>
>>26746380
Or kill us to put their soul back in the regular reincarnation circle. No way to know.
>>
Seems the overall consensus is to attend after leaving instruction for the family...

>Bring Maddie
>Leave Maddie to hold down the fort.
>>
>>26746368
well, it says "UNACCESSED" on the pastebin, which usually means that it is open to us, we just haven't opened it.

so duke, do we have access to our Noah form?
>>
>>26746390
Nope it was offscreen and there was a distinct popping noise and a lot of dust.
>>
>>26746416

Not yet.
>>
>>26746345
All I am saying is that I wont be suprised when we get fucked over a third time.
>>
>>26746406
why would he kill us? then he'd have to wait again for us to reincarnate. better to accept what you have now then to try and wait for something better. especially since they need it right now.
>>
>>26746380
We are less under the Duke's influence than usual as an Akuma though. Less Noah, and more something stranger. I don't think he would tolerate that beyond what is necessary.
>>
>>26746409
Lets leave her with the family so that she can protect them.
>>
>>26746409
Bring Maddie along then.
>>
>>26746425
I see. but do we have any of the stigmata?
>>
>>26746409
>Bring Maddie

Make sure she knows that this is not the time or place to start a fight, even if the Noah are rude. But I want our better half with us for this meeting.

And make sure our Family has somewhere safe to wait this out, distance from the encampment is good, a lot of distance, reassure Andrea and Edward that the slaughter shall come soon. Have Armbrust and Schwere keep them all in line as they are rather mature.
>>
>>26746368
I would prefer that Fonso stays as one of our projects. I also don't think we have the Arc in this.

>>26746406
That's pretty much the gamble we're running into. Our main bargaining point is that we're a badass motherfucking akuma that's turned the tide of the war. If he reincarnates us, that's over, and then he's short a Noah while he looks for us.

>>26746409
[x]Leave Maddie to hold down the fort.

Decided on this. I originally thought we should take her, but if we're keeping our Noah-ness a secret, Maddie needs to stay and coordinate the Family. She could run hit and runs to satiate the kids if she wanted.
>>
>>26746363
She didn't want to leave, but she's too important to risk. We ARE in a war.

And acting indifferent is the worst thing we can do. Treat her as we always have; with respect and love. Need I remind you that it was because of our treatment of her, Alice got to like us?

>>26746409
>Leave Maddie to hold down the fort
Our family needs SOME protection.

The Earl wasn't the most rational or sane of Noah. We should just be careful around the Doctor. Lets keep the bondormu card as our Ace if we get in trouble with the doctor.

>>
also, just checking Duke, don't we have a few stigmata?
>>
>>26746823
I think we got enough out of this whatsit tonight lets just go with the vanilla success
>>
You brush the snow off of your clothes casually,"Well, if it's too much of a hurry to argue, then I'll simply leave her to keep the family safe." You adjust your clothing to look your best and vaporize water droplets with a small burst of heat magic.
"I'd still like to give them a short stop along that treeline, if Alice wouldn't mind too terribly much." You hold out your hand and the Noah child pops out abruptly, taking hold.
"Right Away Faefnir! We're late, we're late! For a very important date!"

Only now do you realize that this will be your first time ever traveling via Alice.. You flail about and grab Ivan by the hand, dragging the spooked ex-akuma.. or whatever he is now through.

With a sudden loss of composure, you scream as the colors seep into your brain, painting it orange and making you giggle about how fluffy birds are. They're tasty when they're cooked raw and painted pink.
Flowers should smoke themselves more often, and poppies sleep for the winter when they drink their own milk. The white is everywhere because it wants to be... and so are YOU!
Even YOU are baking on this this winter's night!
And then suddenly you're back in the world of the mundane, Alice hopping about happily, spinning around as a very confused Madeleine stands before you, the other members of your family moving past the brush to take a gander at what's going on.
>>
"Faefnir, how.. Oh.. It's.. It's Alice. Its Alice again!" Madeleine picks up the Noah, swinging her around in a gleeful hug before looking to you," What's Alice doi-"
She's cut off by Morgan and Maashiima bounding from the rabbit holes, cackling like mad for a moment before regaining their composure.

"She-" Maddie starts as she makes eye contact with Morgan, yet you raise a finger.
"Not now, Maddie. Now's not the time. Better times for that sort of thing, yet not this one. Better times indeed. I leave you in charge of the family, hide away in these woods, pick of scouting parties that they will surely send and be sure to keep the family safe.. I should not be gone for long, after all a Raven writes a poem of death in but a night..."

Madeleine squints at you hard, slowly letting Alice out of her grasp, whom bounds away to stand by you, throwing her arms around your waist as she waits," You're speaking in such an odd manner.."
"Worry not of it my love, just a.. mild side effect. I'll be returned soon!" You spin, hell pirouette over to Madeleine and give her a passionate kiss upon the lips.
"I'll return to where I belong soon," You whisper to her with love as your impaired thoughts come back together."

"May we go now?" Morgan grouses, yet Alice giggles at her, having spun with her," Fine, fine!" She sings out loud, yet speaking low to you," Seems Morgan's caught Maashiima's case of.. BORING!"

Maashiima clears his throat, to say something, yet as he does, he falls down into a rabbit hole, and then so does Morgan.
Alice tugs against Madeleine's skirts with a smile,"We'll bring him back soon. I'm still getting your invitations ready after all! Surprises need to be amazing after all.. Or they're not Proper surprises.. Faefnir taught met that!"

>>
>>26747089
Who is this "we" you're talking about? I barely saw anyone saying that Alice would be horrible.

Or are you mistaking our feelings of apprehension towards her with animosity? Being cautious around someone does not mean you hate them.

I think we're keeping him. I'd prefer to experiment on him on our own for now.
>>
>>26747090
I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly.
>>
>>26747115
It was before Alice was Alice, everyone was worrying about meeting Road because Road was a total psycho in the show and made Akuma die for her by the droves at one point. Then we met Alice and were nice, and there was much rejoicing.
>>
>>26747141
but we gotta give the girl something ...
>>
>>26747182
We arent burning her to cinders for leaving us to die. Does that count?
>>
>>26747182
She can get some bread. We can also flirt with her, though that's more for our own amusement than anything else, we're devoted to Maddie.

It is however hilarious, and in our best interest, to make her not become boring like Maashiima, because her being boring means she's entirely on the Earl's side, if she's interesting and creative her allegiance is somewhat more muddled. And we accomplish that through flirting. It reminds her of the underlying tension between us, throws her off her game, makes her approach things in a non-analytical manner, and puts us on an equal footing.
>>
>>26747211
We did break her heart before she left us to die though...
>>
You look at the Noah and then to Madeleine and the family," You're in charge, stay safe love." You touch Maddie's cheek just as you fall into the portal of madness again, leaving Ivan behind. Your brain is melting into frozen cherries.. So many frozen cherries that could last all summer.. yet they will never last because the trees eat them all for next year...

You shake off the remainder of the Rabbit hole's effects upon your mind in an empty little room while Maashiima and Morgan await.
"The first few times are like that. It's easier if you compose yourself before travel.."
Maashiima, babble incoherently for a few moments before recomposing himself as well," In..Indeed.. This is a result of the "Red Queen" tainting Road's dream.. If she were purged, we wouldn't be having this problem.. That is, unless Alice is ma-" Maashiima falls down a rabbit hole on that note, as she walks opens up a door made of wood, smiling an insane little smile,' Well, I am now..." making out the surroundings now, you see that it is very much like a cozy little rabbit's burrow outfit with doors that you'd see from a cottage, and even some sparse wood blanking that gives it a hard floor. Up ahead, you see candles, and the pink smoke of incense burning.
>>
"We don't need him for your meeting with the Doctor, so you may go ahead, escort me dear Faefnir?" Alice gives you a sweet little smile as she clicks her red shoes together, putting a finger to her mouth to complete a cute little coy expression.
"I was under the impression that you'd be escorting me, Alice.."
Morgan clears her throat and steps forward, towards the door," I had the impression that we'd reconcile Faefnir.."
Alice purses her lips and makes a rude little sound," I'm now under the impression that the two of you were under the impression that you should be under the impression that I gave you the impression that this was about either of you!
"Now dearest Dragon Faefnir, be a dear and impress upon the Doctor that you are favored by me. It would do well that he sees this!"
Morgan pinches the bridge of her nose as she looks down, expression drawn,"Oh by the devil she's mimicking me in my dressy voice.. Faefnir, do you not see the reason in this?"

You simply shake your head and offer an arm to Alice, whom promptly takes it despite her short stature," I believe that you were under an impression that I was under the impression of.. Actually, I'm not going to do this, though Alice certainly does know how to impress an impression!" You laugh out loud, and take a step forward, to start your way into the smoke of the next room..
There, the Doctor awaits, a scalpel in hand, and a cadaver on a table before him.. With your olfactories still on, you make note that the smokes cover the cent of death perfe- The bisected body is still breathing..

Lovely.

The Doctor takes a look at you and nods, amidst the smoke, his usual mask not in place, yet obscured,"Oh, welcome to our humble home dear Faefnir! I do hope that you've been a good little Akuma.. How have you been?"

>You have control...
>>
>>26747243
Yeah but she tried to kill us before that so it gets cancelled out.
>>
>>26747211
I believe I already raised this up several times in past threads, correct? The consensus seems to be to not hate Morgan for that.

>>26747243
We didn't. We stopped her from hurting Maddie and she felt conflicted about what she did. We weren't even able to talk about it, and it seemed like Maashiima tried to convince her not to care. However, she still felt conflicted about leaving us.

>>26747266

speaking of fish, I just thought of an angler fish Akuma. It usually hunts at night, and has a lure that looks like a little girl. it also makes crying noises to attract people. it hides it's main body using shadow magic, and whenever someone gets too close to the lure body, pounces and eats them

You give the Doctor a curt, measured bow to show what respect you do have for him. You flash your teeth amidst this haze. Then finally, with a careful and proper tone," Good evening Doctor, I am doing Quite well, and I thank you for the invitation to your lovely home.. It's been far too long after all."

The Doctor looks down at the bisected human, cuts something that makes the breathing stop, and takes off one of his gloves, offering youthe naked hand as a handshake.. You take it in stride, giving him a firm grip as you look himin the face...
Dark Gray skin as any Noah.. Curly black hair that falls down to his neck, and a gentle, almost serene composure.. He bears no stigmata upon his forehead.
As the handshake is done, he gestures for You and Alice to Follow suit,"Morgan-dear, that one is done. Stitch him up and he'll be ready to go."

"Yes Doctor.." Morgan begins stitching up the cadaver.. yet you notice that its face has skin oulled over its features, rather taut, and almost translucent without fullness or musculature. .. Seems they're making more of those things..

As you walk with the Doctor, you pass through a hallway with numbers of doors, and finally arrive at a small dinner table with 14 seats. Without being asked to, you take a seat, while Alice does the same, sitting at the next seat to the head of the table, that the Duke takes for himself," I.. don't suppose that you enjoy food now and then, Faefnir?"
You look at the table before you, closing your eyes," I certainly do.." You look at Alice and the Doctor, eyes transfixed upon the man," Makes baking worth it after all, you give a nervous smile..

"Excellent, I'll have the chefs make Ratatoille and other cuisine from France.. I went through there upon my way to seek the other Noah you know..."
>>
You turn your chin up a bit at that, a raised eyebrow," I was not aware..."

"Indeed,It was where I found our adorible little Alice..."

And lo, the stories begin...

What this anon said.

I'm guessing 1d20 will be our regular dice while 1d100 will be for chance events?

Let's see how things go from there!

Also, can you answer these questions, Duke?
>>26745482
>>26745564
>>
>>26747663
So, Duke, did you tone down what the crits could do because of this increased chance?
>>
>>26747695
I may adjust the crit ranes down to 1-2 and 19-20..
Though yes, I'll have them tones down a touch, and thresholds will be a bit more important for combat. Depending on how much you win over a value versus a DC. Once you've overshot a DC after all, there should be bonuses for that after all.

Also, the Devil destroying bonds is still just a theorized pattern. Evil in general may very well just be destroying bonds, no?

Its effect does nothing to weaken you, though you'll see its effects in the world over time.

>>26747675
You are correct in the 1d20 being the regular and 1d100 being CHANCE. If there's a likelihood that something interesting may occur, I'll have that roll take. A precursor so that you all know when to expect something flashy, or whether I might pocket it for later.
Failure for those rolls will not hurt you.. However if you crit on them and choose to forcibly fail, for whatever reason, You'll still be expending Devil's luck.

The Bread across the board adds +2 to whatever relevant attribute.. The true power of Creation oven and full synchronization WILL make that obsolete however...
Bondomu is honestly the most overpowered Noah.. Then again, Tyki and Road have their own hacks.. along with Skinn Bolic and how he's able to live on pure rage after dying..
>>
>>26747782
Skinn Bolic had a bad matchup. Kanda died several times to beat him!
>>
>>26747818

This is true..Kanda's unique condition was the only reason that he won that fight..
