You are Yuri Ivanov, a Corporal in the Tesenturian Reserve Corp and well….shit happened to you, after partying with some comrades in celebration for a series of peace treaties and creation of a lasting stable government. Meaning that for the first time in its history will ensure that the neighboring countries will cease hostiles and that the government itself will ensure that it will keep together and not fall from the various factions that once plagued the old one thus ensuring a long awaited peace.

Or at least it should have after being enlisted on a patrol along with several new recruits by your closest friend and now superior Sergeant Maya Salko which took you on the outskirts of the city in which you were ambushed by remnants of an old faction. After a couple of skirmishes with the enemy which left your forces with a few wounded, one dead, and you almost dying by the end of a knife but otherwise the battle was a success. However a strange bright light suddenly envelops the both of you in which you managed save her by pushing her out of the way.

Now you’re in a the Capital of this strange fantasy esque world shopping for things with your…benefactor/kidnapper in a sense and are now browsing a set of short blades until a voice interrupts you suggesting something bigger.
>>
>>26879003

“You’re right maybe I should get a hatchet instead.” You mumbled considering the fact but compared to the handle and power of a hatchet a knife will still be more versatile.

“No, you fool a sword.” The voice rattles away causing the shopkeeper to frown. “Nothing says, intimidation and power then a sword.”

“Now what makes you so sure?” You begin to say but no one id there even Half-pint who was browsing the knives with you didn’t know where the voice was.

“Over here.” The voice beckons coming from the barrel filled with swords?

Huh? Is there a person hiding in there?

You walk over there to confirm your theory but no one is there only a bunch of old swords.

“Down here.” The voice resounds from the barrel in which you notice the small part of the swords begins to move as if in a talking motion. “Sup, name’s Derfinger.”

You take a moment, paused, and proceeded to take a swig of your wine-skin.

We can definitely agree that it should be a backup weapon.
No use in a big knife or something when we have a bayonet.
A hatchet would be nice for fortification purposes. Otherwise, we get a multi-utility knife... If they have that kind of stuff.
>>
>>26880263
Yes I need consensus also if possible can someone update the history on Tesenturia on the pastebin or tell me how to do so
>>
>>26880258

Well, it kinda depends on what the smith can forge: a multi-usage kukri-like short "cleaver" or a machete-like blade would be nice (because those, you know, can be used for more than just stabbing someone), providing they dafuq can provide this!
>>
>>26880350
Just copy the text out of it and make a new pastebin when you want to update it.

>>26880345
The Nagant Bayonet is nothing more than a metal spike. It doesn't even have a cutting edge. so a large knife can be useful for the utility it can provide outside of combat
>>
>>26880258

You briefly look at the sword then back at the half-pint and then to the blacksmith who merely shrugs and then to sword again before looking back at the pink haired girl who cannot be sixteen.

“Hey Half-pint, I need your help here.” You said to Louise forgetting all formality and calling her by her personnel nickname. “Tell me if this sword is really talking or not.”

The girl nods also slightly shocked probably this is the first time a talking sword.

This is not good, you recall certain comrades and soldiers who stayed in combat for so long they begin to talk to their weapons giving them names and sometimes even whispering to them like their lovers.

Even Maya at some point began to pet her M14 like it was a small pet.

And a sword you never met is talking to you….

"Well this is in no way strong enough to deal with this." You muttered as you look at your wine-skin before taking several long swigs at the drink while looking at the blade. “Now excuse me, but... who, or WHAT are you exactly?"

“Didn't I tell you before kid, name’s Derfinger.” He announces proudly. “And can’t you tell that I’m a sword, seriously and I thought the blacksmith over there was slow.”

“Bought that blasted sword in bulk with a bunch of other materials and has not stopped talking since.” The blacksmith said in frustration. “I’ll make you a deal buy your knife or whatever and I’ll sell that cheap.”

“Hey, I’m a sword a proud sword and you’re selling me as a side deal to some dinky kitchen utensil!” The Sword talks offended at the deal. “Hey bro let me at him.”

..Well he’s certainly chatty

>What do you say or do?

>Do we have consensus?
>>

>>

So we question the sword in front of the blacksmith for it's perks?

>>

Convince me that you'll be more useful to me than a knife or hatchet. “You questioned the sword suppressing the slight shutter at the thought though it came much more naturally to you than expected but then again considering all the other stuff you've seen so far it’s to be expected.

“Why are you asking me?” He asked surprised at your sudden questioning. “I’m a sword, you swing and I cut that’s normally the idea right? Well I suppose that I’m a good conversationalist so if you’re lonely and need a good talking I could do that I guess.”

If a sword could shrug you think it will do so now.

“Not to mention, I’m bigger and what knife or glorified ax can do that?”

>What do you say or do?
>>
>>26881148
Scratches chin "Weeelll a knife is easier to conceal, has a lot of utility uses, and it doesn't talk. However I can get you and get the knife for cheap as well. I think I'll take it."

You begin rubbing your chin in contemplation of the blacksmith’s deal thinking you can get a better deal out of the poor bastard.

“Well I don’t know…” You muttered looking at the sword. “This sword is awfully chatty and I think it will it be more quiet once it leaves your humble shop.”

“Your point?” The Blacksmith obviously knowing your game but his glare not relenting.

“Well obviously if I left unsatisfied over this deal, it will agitate this poor sword probably crying and whining for days on end.” You smile. “and I’m sure a smart business man like you will know what that will mean.”

Highest Roll 17

“Fine, you can have him for free.” The blacksmith sighs obviously he’s cursing you under his breath. “You still pay full price for the knife though, no more negations.”

Shake the mans hand buy the knife also see if we can fin an alchemist to buy the resources to make gun powder
>>
Finish the deal and accompany louise to wherever she wants to go.
>>
>>26882816
Gunpowder is a military resource and considering that in the novel has only a single corp of Musketeer and mostly relies on conscripts and noble mage to fight in wars. It will be hard to acquire
>>
>>26883116
yeah but the stuff needed to make gunpowder istn't that hard to find I was thinking of getting the stuff and making our own
>>
>>26883144
we would need the precise tools and equipment for that. Besides today is being paid for on Louise's coin. She doesn't have a lot of money for a noble so until we can find a way to earn our own income it might be better to leave it as something for later
>>
>>26883271
ah I missed that part so that will wait but make basic gunpowder isn't that hard depending on what type of powder we want to make.
>>
>>26883352
her "allowance" is low iirc
Well making gunpowder is still a dangerous and needs to be fairly exact for the better quality, so things like measuring scales and the proper storage containers and facilities would be needed, and we can't really store kegs of powder in Louise's room.
>>
Charcoal, saltpeter and sulfur are what's needed for making blackpowder.

Charcoal we can make easily.
Saltpeter we could technically make as well, but it'll take so long it's not worth it.
Sulfur is something we'd have to pay for ourselves as well, but it is (at least on earth) an abundant material.

Afterwards, even if we have all materials, we'd need to figure out a way to come up with the correct mixture.
Luckily, we have access to a library, but we kinda need to learn to read properly and keep ourselves on the good side of the school and louise.
Not that I'm suggesting we make enemies of them, but it's worthy of noting.
>>
>>26883413
I know next nothing about what this quest is based on but if we could start producing black powder do you think we could make a profit on it or increase Louise's standing
>>
>>26883413
We seriously need to find/establish a secret base of operations.
>>
>>26882690

You shake the blacksmith’s hand and smile. “Deal, pleasure in doing business with you.”

“Whatever. “He snorts obviously displeased as the Half-pint hand him the money for the knife in which looks similar to that of kukri design and obtained sheaths for both blades.

“Thanks man.” The sword spoke up and glee filled his voice. “I thought I was going to rust in that barrel.”

“Aren’t you already rusted?”

“Touche.”

You look towards the Half-pint and ask what she wants to do now that all of the things you wanted to do.

She only grins and begins to walk properly probably like what a noble lady should and tells you to just follow her lead. You nod and spent the rest of the day just walking through the streets of the capital enjoying the view and liveliness of the crowds and keep an eye on the half-pint as she window shops and browse through the items.

You begin to slightly wonder if she’s financially stable or frugal since the stuff she does buy and you are forced to carry but while you know these items are quite pricey but the half-pint is buying them at discount prices.

When the sun begins to shift in the other direction, you’ve began to (grudgingly) ride on horseback to the school and return to the dorm as night begins to surface. Once escorting the girl up to her dorm you pause as just when you reached the room, you hear noises

You stay still your combat senses on full alert as you stop the half-pint from advancing to the door. She was about to protest obvious fatigued from today’s activities but silence her by clasping your hand over her mouth while using the other to your own signifying silence.
Understanding your intent she nods and stay silent as you then proceed to pull out your revolver while leaving the stuff bought by the Half-pint to the side and you kick open the door and set your sights on…

A blue haired kid with red framed glasses reading a book on the Half-pint’s bed.

Before you contemplate or ask who she is you were suddenly jumped at the side and before you notice you were robbed of your sight and instead felt a soft sensation on your face.

Well, I remember hearing on history class that you made saltpeter with a mound of horseshit and brick tunnel.

I don't exactly remember how the exact process happened, but apparently rainwater on the horseshit is supposed to cause a chemical reaction and the air traveling through the tunnel would make the vaporized water create saltpeter on the walls of the tunnel as the air traveled through.

Again this process will take a LONG time.

After a moment of staying in this position due to the situation your mind is currently trying to make sense or to obvious male instinct, you slowly detach yourself from her cleavage and faced her with an indifferent expression as you holster your revolver.

“Miss Zerbst, it is good to see your cleavage is still in order. How are you today?" You asked your voice deadpanned not revealing any emotion before looking to the blue haired girl. "And Ms. ... I don't believe that we've been introduced. I am Yuri Ivanov, pleased to make your acquaintance."

She only nodded her face never leaving her book only giving a small quiet reply. “…Tabitha.”

Just before the name registered you felt your arm being envelop by the soft sensation that your face had experienced only moments before.

“I’m just fine but didn’t I tell you to call me Kirche darling?” She snuggled into your arm. “Don’t you recall that private moment we had when I did?”

You did, and remembered the fact several other boys showed up for their private moment and you proceeded for a tactical retreat in the chaos.

“Don’t ignore me!.” The Half-pint yelled before pointing at the buxom red head. “What are you doing here and more importantly how did you get into my room it was locked!”

“Ah isn’t it obvious to pick up my darling for a romantic night out in the moonlight, listening to ballads of love and adventure.” She says soothingly her finger tracing uncomfortably on your chest. “As for how we got here that’s a secret.”

Though she says that and the half-pint not noticing as she was focusing on Kirche you notice a green eye appearing in the window before ducking back and then slowly peeking out again.

While OP is gone whats everyone's opinion on Yuri's prospects in this world? How about long term goals?
>>
>>26885528
I think #1 long term goal is to find a way home.
Second to that I suppose is to find a living. Whether it's in the army again, as a guitar player, or even staying with Louise
>>
>>26885528
Besides getting back home? Well there hasn't really been a major crisis that interested him yet, so until we get to one, he just wants to get home.
>>
>>26885528
Home would be the main goal, failing that I'd say just go with the flow. It'll be one hell of a ride, whether or not we do anything on the side.
>>
>>26885528
Obviously, our big goal for now at least is to get back home.
If you mean romantic prospects, either Tabitha or Agnes, accept no substitutes.

Louise is more or less daughter-tier. You help her out, teach her some cool shit, give her a sympathetic ear when she needs her, have creepy yet satisfying sex on occasion where she calls you daddy, you know just like in real relationships..

Ah, finally a comrade you thought to yourself as you managed to shrug Kirche’s grasp and walk towards the window where the dragon is on the other side. “It’s you, how have you’ve been!”

“Kyuuu!” The Dragon responds happily as it licks you while you try to calm it down.

“H-Hey quit it.” You laugh as you pet it while unknown to you a certain red hair puffs her cheeks in disappointment while the Half-Pint smirks.

“Guess the Zerbst charm isn’t all that’s cracked up to be.” She says each word barbing at the Zerbst.

“Least I have charm…” She replies with a wave of her hair. “Don’t forget that your nickname ‘Zero’ isn’t just because of your magic talent for example, zero looks, zero sex appeal, more specifically zero bre-"

You kind of tune them out at that point in which you can tell that it’s turning into a screaming match.

“Who’s a good dragon, who’s a good dragon?” You cuddled it by scratching at it’s favorite places you learn by trial and error this past week….

“….She’s a girl.”

You raise an eyebrow before looking at the blue haired girl.

“She’s a girl not an it, her name is Sylphid.” She explained though you never called her it in front of her presence before maybe she just assumed?

Just when you were about to question her.

“Why You!”

“Bring it on washing board!”

It seemed that the situation escalated as you see wands drawn.

>What do you say or do
>>
>>26890202
Bring yourself in between the two girls so that they do not fight. (May need to go to the med. ward after this though)
>>
>>26890202
I don't think we're fans of rooms exploding that we're currently in. Break it up. Then find out what they are really doing in our room.
>>
>>26890202
Roughly disarm both wand-wielders, those things are worse than guns. Lecture them on wand-safety (i.e. point them only on people you want to KILL) or don't draw them at all.
>>
>>26890202
"Ladies, if you want to kill each other at least take it outside. I'm having a perfectly nice conversation with Sylphid here."
>>
>>26890202
"Ah! Now I finally know her name! Sorry Sylphid, I didn't know till now so I wanted to keep it neutral till I met your summoner. Apologies Tabitha if I insulted you or your companion."

"Zerbst, are you really so vein as to attack someone with so called "zero" skill? It would seem my impression of you being a strong, yet calm and noble lady was completely off... I am so disappointed."
turn to pink.
"Louise you know a true noble wouldn't resort to violence after such a poor insult... and you know it ain't always about size. Men usually focus in other areas..."
>>

Ignore tittybeast and half-pint, acquire Sylphid-petting and Tabitha-befriending.
>>

Considering we experienced Louise's magic first hand, I suggest overturning a table and getting Tabitha behind cover.

Turn to Kirche and Louise
"You two aren't nearly drunk enough to have an excuse to be fighting on your day off so break it off."
Resume petting Dragon
"Anyhow, it seems we're finally being introduced Silphed, Yuri Ivanov a combat engineer"
"Speaking of introductions"
Take out the talking sword
"I don't think I know your name yet, sword"
>>
>>26892491
The sword has told us his name at least twice.
>>
>>26892513
Oh right, forgot, skip that part and introduce the sword to them
>>
>>26890202
"Excuse me for a moment Tabitha, Silpheed.

Raise your voice and tell Kirche and Louise to stop fighting
"If you two are going to start fighting indoors, you're going to have to explain to the teachers why you're causing a disturbance during a holiday."

"Also, it's extremely rude to start fighting before everone have even had the chance to introduce themselves." (referring of course to the sword)

"Come on Derfinger, introduce yourself to them"

Morning bump
>>
>>26890202

You were about to run to cover and bring the blue haired down with you but suddenly the two extended wands were suddenly blown away by a gust of wind effectively disarming them. You look at the girl besides you holding a staff in which you did not see on her person before, her face showing nothing but indifference as she continues reading her book only taking a small moment to speak. “Not indoors.”

She has quite a quick draw…

You take a moment to address the two wand happy witches…mages? Whatever they call themselves that doesn't change the fact you are not amused.

"Miss Zerbst, are you really so vein as to attack someone with so called "zero" skill? It would seem my impression of you being a strong, yet calm and noble lady was completely off...” You stated calmly but your words carrying a sharp point in which the buxom women flinched from. “I’m disappointed.”

At this point the Half-Pint grins at seeing her rival being lectured but is quickly deflated as your gaze shifted towards her. “Miss Valliere you know a true noble wouldn't resort to violence after such a poor insult... and you know it isn't always about size. Men usually focus in other areas..."

You also take moment to wrap an arm around her and bring her to a corner as you whispered. “Also you should know by now how an explosive and an enclosed space will do to the structure not to mention for some of my…more delicate equipment.”

You rather not die by your own explosives…

You’ve seen your share of idiotic combat engineers on both sides that died by that cause.

She nods though whether or not she caught what you mean by that but is interrupted by the red head.

“So you say men usually focus in other areas.” The buxom smiles emphasizing her cleavage. “What will yours be as an example of course?”
>>

>What do you say or do?

The Half-pint definitely not amused of being side-tracked just for her to have another chance to hit you as she looks at you a bit of hostility in her eyes. “Then what do you suggest Yuri, even as a noble there are some things I cannot let slide!”
>>
>>26896988

Let's go for the overwhelming pre-emptive strike approach. Someting along the lines of: "Miss Zerbst, with due respect, you are a beautiful woman, but you have the destestable habit of considering men as trophies, not persons. Mere physical lust does not a relationship make!"
>>
>>26896988
>“So you say men usually focus in other areas.” The buxom smiles emphasizing her cleavage. “What will yours be as an example of course?”

A true men loves the characteristics of the woman he loves. And outside of that, there's a huge amount of differing personal preferences.
Men's tastes are not uniform. And, generally, they can focus on anything - The neck, your hands, there's more to it than just a big or small chest.

...This is probably to elaborate for the character.
But fuck it. The writing style is giving me a stronger headache each day.

I have a gun. There are many like it. But THIS one is mine. And I can assure you that you backwards medieval wizard chucklefucks can NOT replace it."

The idea is that we are starting off annoyed because of the potentially deadly fight and then get furious when we consider the possibility of Louise destroying our irreplaceable stuff just because of Kirche.
>>
Tell Louise and Kirche that even if they did fight, the winner would gain nothing from it, except a lecture from teachers on how dissapointed they are on the fact that you chose to solve your problems through violence.

"I should know, I experienced it first hand when I beat the blondie."

As a soldier I've served with both men and women and I would give my life for them ten times over because I trust them, and I know they would do the same for me." You explained to the fiery red head not in the mood for flirting as you take another swig of your wineskin only to find it empty due from the usage from the ride back on that stupid horse. This is the first time since you gotten here when you didn’t think too hard about your comrades back home and now you are when you’re sober.

You then look at the Half-pint with an impassive glare. “Kid, I won't tell you not to fight with someone who you have a grudge with, cause that would be the pot ringing up the kettle, but I will say. TIME AND A PLACE!” You roared a little annoyed she didn’t get your hint earlier. “If you so desire to blow each other up, then do it outside, just please for the love of god don't start blowing up things in the vicinity of a person carrying enough composition c to level this entire TOWER!"

Again you’ve seen enough engineers blow up by their own explosives.

You do not want to become one of them.

“Com-pos C?” She mumbles while backing away probably taking the hint that what you have is probably bad. You can only sighed as you look past Sylphid who is obviously frightened by your outburst or the fact that you can blow up the tower to see outside which is pitch black too late to bother Marteau for a refill.

“Forget it.” You muttered the good mood from the day gone and replaced with exhaustion. “I’m going to bed.”
>>
>>26902397

You said goodbye to Sylphid who you pet and rubbed in her favorite places to show that you’re not angry and to Kirche and Tabitha, who has been looking at you with silence after your explanation but you can’t shake a feeling that she has a spark of ‘interest’ in her eyes. Tabitha on the other hand only nods indifferently and followed Kirche out.

You only muttered good night to the half-pint before hitting the hay.

Your sleep was a dreamless one, sleep that often came from exhaustion due to the physical labor that you had done earlier in the day when you were in the front.

THUMP THUMP

Digging a trench, reinforcing a pillbox, arming or disarming mines, even digging your own foxhole sometimes as stray shots firing overhead.

THUMP THUMP

Always exhausting, never stopping, and always need to be aware or you get a bullet to the head.

THUMP THUMP

Even at night even when you slept an ear was always to the ground hearing the rhythm of artillery. To know how close they were by the vibration of the earth to get out and move when you sense they were getting a little too accurate.

THUMP THUMP

Or to be aware of heavy machinery coming your way and in turn to retreat or detonate the explosive you set earlier that day.

THUMP THUMP

A sound that often alerted you and many other of your comrades of what’s coming.

THUMP THUMP

A sound that when something large was moving you gets moving.

THUMP THUMP

Highest roll 17

But you’re not home and this vibration if not from artillery or tanks. Your eye shoot open as grab your rifle and your heightened senses hearing a far ‘thumping’ sound.

A place where noble children gathered to study, noble children whose family will pay any price for their children. Disgruntled peasants uprising or maybe something more political.

You let your guard down.

You don’t know what is happening but the only thing you’re sure of now is that you got to move!

“Hey Half-Pint” You shrugged the sleeping girl. “We need to move now!”

“Mun-ya…” She mumbles before turning around.
Your vision starts to shake slightly your heart beating so fast it’s almost painful.
If you don’t move you’ll die, movement means life!

You then bolt making sure you knock on every door you come across as you descend down the stairs of the tower. “Look alive ladies, we have company!”

Just when you were about to get outside the tower you hear the half-pint slowly awaken from her sleeping state mostly likely from the yelling as the rapid descent down the stairs.

“What do you take me for?” She narrows her eyes at you not pleased by your suggestion to hide. “I’m a noble and I have a duty to defend Tristain territory so telling me to go away….”
“Is the most optional plan available right now!” You argued back cutting her off. “This is not facing that blond, we lack information on the situation right now and the motive of why something that big is there maybe nobles are part of the targets.”

“Then we should go and deal with them now!”

“Not until we get a view of the situation.” You replied as you glare at the half-pint. “Miss Valliere, since I’m technically a commoner I’ll be ignored if I don’t make contact. I will scout ahead and signal the staff if it’s anything out of hand however as a noble you are a target so until I finished my role then I’ll come back to do your duty as a noble but with proper information.”

By the way, you can't detonate C4 easily, it's ridiculously stable.
C4 cannot be detonated by a gunshot or by dropping it onto a hard surface. It does not explode when set on fire or exposed to microwave radiation.
Detonation can only be initiated by a combination of extreme heat and a shockwave, such as when a detonator inserted into it is fired.

So, pretty much the only thing that sets it off are explosions already on lethal radius, so we shouldn't be afraid of carrying it with us.

You take out your cloak that you the half-pint bought for you earlier in the day using it’s darker shade of color to help blend in to the darkness of the night. As you trudge forward to the source of the sound you try to stay out keeping to the darkest shades of the night and finding cover whenever you could in this clear courtyard.

When your eyes finally used to the darkness your heart beats several times faster.

It was a golem, a very big golem one that is breaking through the wall of main building.

Or to put it more accurately it was roughly half the size of the main campus building which is quite a big elaborate piece of work by itself. It was not like the blond’s golem that you had encountered in your duel which was much smaller and more detailed to be human-shaped.

This one is other then it’s massive size it seemed to take a more monstrous appearance that which judging my it’s massive stone arms that it was built for offensive or destruction of fortifications.

How did something that big get in here? You recall your previous encounter with a golem in which apparently users of magic can bring about from the earth.

This is ridiculous…

THUMP THUMP

Though despite its massive size it’s trying to be as quiet as can be making minimal movement as it shifts between removing sections of the wall and moving to place it the side.

Highest Roll 12

What could i-

SNAP

You cursed as you look down to see a broken twig under your foot, what a fucking cliché to be done it now!

You look up and see the golem pausing from its work either or maybe the caster heard the sound but from what you can see that it doesn’t know your position.

Since we are in the shadows don't move, don't move what so ever. Don't even breath. Yuri is not here, only the shadows. They will eventually go back to work. In the meantime just use our eyes and try to discern the casters location
>>
>>26918359
Yeah shouting is going to attract the attention of the multistory golem which could easily run our ass down in a few strides. Not to mention the mage.
>>
>>26918417
It will also get it to stop whatever it is doing.
It's pounding the castle. Maybe students will die if we DON'T distract it.

Also, where exactly is the kitchen? We'd have an advantage if Louise was in a high place with free line of sight.
>>
>>26918486
The kitchen is a side building along the outside wall. Also the golem is pounding on the central tower. The dorms are all the outside towers. There shouldn't be anyone in the central tower. Unless Osmand sleeps in there, but who knows where he sleeps.

You’re held your breath yet your heart beats several times stronger than normal as you eyed the stony monstrosity for a few moments before it returns to work making an opening large enough for a person to comfortably jump in and out of.

Highest Roll 17

Then you see the caster hiding within the golem as its caped form under the cover of darkness made it impossible to accurately describe its gender let alone who it is. Seemingly confident that on one was there at the moment but taking this as a moment to hurry along it jumped into the opening the golem at an angle blocking it from this side of the courtyard making it impossible to make a shot here.

You move slowly keeping an eye on the golem as you drag your body across the courtyard around the golem in order to get a better shooting angle.

Highest Roll 18

You do as successfully as you managed to almost completely blindside the stone being though you felt that if you moved a bit more you could have the most optimal shooting spot but you see the ruffles of a cape near the opening of the tower.

You see the Thief as it jumps onto the golem with its ill-gotten gain.

You take sight as it was in mid-air aiming for center mass.

You squeeze the trigger.

Highest Roll: 9-2= 7

You feel a warm feeling in your right hand as the runes gave a small glow.

Special Power 7+3=10

The sound of rifle crackles throughout the quiet night as the round due to either the wind, the darkness, and even you misjudging the distance flies missing the center mass.

“guh!” You hear the Thief grunted though it missed your intended target the bullet just barely grazing its left shoulder as the Thief sets down the box on top of the golem to check on the wound obviously confused but not cradling it as a wound should have on what happened before it looks at your direction.

Highest Roll 20

You work the bolt smoothly as you chamber the round smoothly into the chamber.

You aim for the arm of the thief more specifically her wand arm.

You squeeze the trigger.

Highest Roll 13 – 2 = 11

The runes still shine once more on your hand.

Bonus: 11 + 3 = 14

The round flies though due to the smaller target grazes the target again though more deeply as he cradles the bicep but she raises her arm defiantly to show it’s still usable and begins to cast.

You need to do something quick

Reload Bonus: Quick Draw

Penalty= -1

You reload the chamber almost mechanically like they had taught you in the academy as you barely had time to aim before squeezing the trigger.

Your round flies!

Highest Roll: 13 – 3 = 10

The Runes shine even more brightly.

Bonus: 10 + 3 = 13

Your aim was still off though you manage to hit her wand hold shoulder making her briefly dropping her wand.

For her to pick it up mid-drop her left hand

Shit.

Her spell is finished as the Golem literally throws its arm the swing making the monstrosity limb fly off of its body and having shot three round its aim is now at you.
