Fortunately for your safety, the school seems to have in its imploy a pretty chill giant squid, who apparently is used to bouncing fallen first years back into their boats if they get too excited. Unfortunately, you are a rare specimen to this squid, as you were actually able to talk back, and he seems well and intent on making friends with you. Double unfortunately, his existence is eerily reminiscent of that creature from some of Mr. Kiritsugu's old war stories.Gigantic.Eldritch.And of course, having that pressing mental effect accompanying its sight and voice that makes you want to shed your skin and emerge from this flesh cocoon -reborn- a creature of the vast and unknown deeps, forever singing its praises. Ia! Ia! Xglubfnick fhtagn! Ia! Ia! Xglubfnick fhtagn! The Black Squid of the Lake whose razored beak-maw sings for us the song that shall end the world! Ia! Ia! Xglubfnick fhtagn!Okay, that may be the cultural osmosis speaking more than any actually desire to go full gibbering madness. But the squid, however chill he might be, is more than a little on the freaky side."Nice to meet you, Mr. Glub!" You holler at your new Squid-Bro. "I'm terribly sorry, but would you mind setting me back down in my boat? My friends look like they're a little worried for me, and well I think they might be a little intimidated by your magnificence!">My field! It is too long!

You are depositted on you chair rather unceremoniously, and with a wave of one of his many tentacles, the Squid bids you adieu. You're still a bit wet, you think. You...>Live with it. Oh sweet baby Jesus in the manger how could... how could they think to keep -that sort of thing- in a school? A school that teaches young girls how to be -magical-!""Actually he was pretty chill," You say, flipping up from you unceremonious landing. "In fact, I think he was a little lonely - must not be all that many lake squids for him to talk to around here. He was actually just really happy to have someone he could chat with." You grin. "Besides, no doubt if I was in any real danger, the Magical Girl Kaleido Pink would have come to save me."Hermione turns an amusing shade of pink."H-h-harry!" she gasps, choking on each syllable. "Y-you should know by now. Tentacle creatures are a hard counter to Magical Girls - there was nothing that I... she would have been able to do. Not... not without being subjected to a horrifyingly gruesome counter attack.""Fair enough, I suppose," You admit. "I'm not really all that familiar with the mechanics and rules of Magical Girls, so I'll take your word for it." You look down at your clothes, which are currently leaving a large puddle on the deck of the boat. "Would you mind holding on to Illya for a second? There's something I want to try, and I'll need a little room for it..."Hermione nods, and you help her move Illya off of the front bench and on to Hermione's lap. You vaguely hear her mutter something about whipped cream, strawberries, nuts, and cherries - you imagine that she must be dreaming of a dessert lanf or something. She always did like her sundaes fully loaded, you recall, though for some reason her words only make Hermione turn an even brighter shade of red.>Field too long.
>>27029428Hopefully, what you're about to try won't make that even worse.Normally, you'd do this with your knife, but the more you thought about that, the less you figured it would be a viable option. Killing the wetness soaking your clothes would require a series of strikes faster than any water would be able to seep into an undried segment of your outfit. Which would require precision, speed, and self reach that your knife is ill suited for.You pull out the baton that you have snuggly fit into your belt Wand Holster. It's a bit bigger than most wands even in its smallest form, but you're not planning to use this to perform any magic.A twist and a spin changes its shape to the one you've had the most practice with - a simple practice glaive, the dulled blade of a curved shortword sticking out of the hilt of a quarterstaff. >>27029749Pasta, you say?I could care less. I am sorry to be the baron of bad news, but you seem buttered, so allow me to play double's advocate here for a moment. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask you to mustard up all the strength you can because it's a doggy-dog world out there. Although for all intensive purposes there is some merit to what you're saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder In your post you seem to throw everything but the kids N'Sync, and even though you're having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back to reality, because it's now like the pot calling the kettle cracked. I have a sick sense for this sort of thing. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember that what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.
>>27029749as in your pasteing it? or your getting pasta?
>>27029766Irregardless, make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and accept the fax, instead of making a half-harded effort You might have come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it's a peach of cake.
>>27029737That's crazy talk. Our eyes are our eyes, how can we not use them?>>27029743In fact, this guy has the right idea. I mean, it is a terrible and horrible suggestion, but I support it full heartedly. 『̶A̶l̶l̶ ̶F̶i̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ 』 Mystic Eyes of Death Perception is the answer we need.

I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. Oh god we killed our clothes and scored a critical lewd hit on the three girls in the boat.
>>27029937Make sure you play the visual novels for fate stay night and tsukihime. The only nasuverse anime that is any good is fate zero. The others are bastardised versions of one of the routes from each visual novel and only really makes sense or is enjoyable if you have already played the visual novel.
>>27029977Ignore this fucker, just read the wiki.
>>27029854Nasuverse has three branches that we are concerned with in this questBranch 1: Tsukihime- Tohno Shiki wakes up after dying in a car accident and wakes up with these weird lines all over every object he sees. if given any relatively sharp object, from a pencil to knife, he can cut along those lines and destroy literally everything. Then he gets disowned, returns after ten years and Shit hits the fan shortly thereafter, either by his sister having seizures or running into and killing a vampire that later becomes his girlfriend Branch 2: Fate/zero: 7 magi/wizards (a hired gun, a caring uncle, the heads of two major families, the wizard equivalent of a college student, a priest that rejoices in suffering, and a serial killer) summon heroes from the past to fight for the holy grail. no one gets a happy ending except the priest and the mercenary, who is the mentor/father figure for Harry in this questBranch 3: fate/kaleid- spin off of the Fate/ series focusing on magical girls who use artifacts created by "GOD DAMMIT" Zelretch, the only truly happy person i the nasuverse that is also capable of jumping between paralell universes. has a kaleidoscope fetish. in this universe he's a math teach/librarian
>>27029905... I JUST got that it was a pun.I think i may be an idiot
>>27030007I was clearly joking; he doesn't have to do everything. But he'd be better off diving into the setting and using the wiki as a resource for fact checking and shit. Oh, and I forgot about Hollow Ataraxia, that's an important one.
>>27030011>Zelretch>The only truly happy personHey, what about kotomine! He's happy! Rejoice!
>>27030011>has a kaleidoscope fetishIT IS NOT A GODDAMN FETISH! I JUST FIND THEM INTERESTING!
>>27029854We can give a quick rundown, though, from the point of view of a normal person, and the point of view of our protagonist. The Nasuverse works pretty much the same way the Potter setting does for normal people. It's the modern day world. There's monsters and magic and vampires and stuff but no one really knows about it. People who find out about it do not get to keep living for a long time. The Mage's association and Catholic church are involved in keeping these secrets. Getting on either group's shitlist is a fantastically terrible idea, even for powerful beings.Someone who does magic (like our protagonist, Ilya, her family, etc.) is called a magus. Little 'm' magic, or magecraft. It works by different rules than the Potter magic, but there's some similarities. There's also 'big M' Magic. This is stuff that can't be replicated by effort, money, time spent working, without Magic. If you can make a brick wall appear out of nowhere, congratulations, that's a pretty impressive magecraft, but people can make bricks and construct a wall out of them, so that's not actually Magic. There's five Magics, but people aren't entirely sure what they all can do, and they don't all have living users. Harry's met the wielder of one of them, Zelretch, who can use the 2nd Magic- Kaleidoscope. It messes with moving things between parallel realities, and getting glimpse of it messed with poor Harry's head a bit.We haven't seen much in the ways of vampires or the church yet, so that's not quite as immediately relevant.
>>27030011>no one gets a happy ending ... and the mercenarywell, on the one hand is wife died for no purpose and he never sees his daughter again, but on the other hand he manages to save shirou, but then a random motorcycle kills him so....
>>27030050>Hollow ataraxia>Empty tranquility Really is an appropriate title isn't it
>>27030150Not in this alternate reality, in which he stayed happily with his wife and daughter, and eventually adopted Harry.
>>27030135Actually, making a brick appear out of nowhere falls under the purview of the First Magic, The Denial of Nothingness. Making a brick out of clay instantly, on the other hand, is magecraft.
>>27030135There's also the part about Origins, which is very important if he wants to take part in the quest. Harry's life comes from the Death of Things, and once someone awakens to their origin, they cannot escape it or resist it, because it is who they are.
>>27030150THAT FUCKING BIKE
>>27030195You can also make a fake brick out of prana which'll do well enough until the universe rejects it.
>>27030209>Oh god shirou, why are you on fire>Just fixing the bikeThere were no survivors
>>27030238IIRC, Shirou's projections don't actually get rejected unless they break, which is part of why his shed is full of useless shit. But he's a special case.
>>27030230That is just nearly killed and is in another quest run on this board. THAT BIKE wound up culminating in pic related. Please note the quints.
>>27030274The useless shit in his shed is stuff he has structurally analysed and fixed, or uses to practice analysis and projection, or is currently fixing. His projections are still rejected by gain.
>>27030011OTHER THING TO KNOW ABOUTCarnival Phantasm- a joke/comedy series that contributes a great many jokes and characterizations to the cast of tsukihime and Fate/stay night. and a catchy as hell theme songKIMI TO ISSHO GA ICHIBAN (iei) SUKI YOTTE MOTTO GYUTTO NE Fate/Stay again: quest thread from /tg/ currently on hiatus run by AC-Guy. Featuring a demonically posessed bike that nearly kills shirou, fast-talking and bluffing Gilgamesh to his face, "THAT MOTHER FUCKER" Merlin meddling with things, and shirou being allergic to sympathy

>Lets cut the wetness they said>It'll be fine they said>Using Mystic Eyes of Death Perception for mundane tasks can't possibly backfire they said
>>27030325Please note that the sympathy allergy may or may not be literal depending on whether or not F/SA Shirou is a Demon.
>>27030195Doesn't F/SN directly contradicts that though? Shirou materializes things out of nothing (mostly swords) in front of Rin constantly and she dismisses it as a risky and not very useful magecraft. He makes at least one semi-permanent item too, in the heaven's feel route. The dagger he gives Rin lasts for more than a day and through a pretty ridiculous combat.I suppose Rin could just not realize that Shirou's doing Magic, but..?
>>27030011>no one gets a happy ending except the priest and the mercenary, who is the mentor/father figure for Harry in this questKotomine got a suffering ending in canon, but the only one who came out of the Grail War better than he went in was Waver. Our Grail War had Tohsaka, Kerry, Kotomine, and a few others team up to take down somebody (Kooorrrruuuuu maybe?). We had it explained to us in the form of a Princess Bride metaphor by Iri giving a cover story to the ministry.
>>27030347We had to use up that Parker Luck somehow.
>>27030399Isn't it because of UBW? Also, its the same as Prof. Chaos said about the brick: he materializes it out of prana, and it lasts until the world rejects it.
>>27030399Reality Marble. It's applying a different ruleset over Gaia's. Shirou isn't breaking Gaia's rules like the Magics do, Shirou is working within his own internal ruleset.
>>27030399it's not capital M Magic though because projections are inherently temporary and require constant prana to use. the reason it's not widely used is due to its terrible efficiency
>>27030399That's not making a brick out of nothing though, that's solidifying prana into the shape of a brick. It might look like a brick, but it's not a brick and will be rejected by gaia.
>>27030432Hasn't he lost his reality marble by the time he does that? he changes too much to activate it in the HF's route, by the end. His ideals have changed, so his internal world has changed. Also Gaia crushes his reality marble pretty quickly once deployed, but Gaia's kind of a jerk like that.I apologize- I don't want to be an ass here. You're running the quest, and if that's how you want the 1st magic to work in this setting that's totally cool- it hasn't really been established how it works, so whatever goes! Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe things in this new reality Kerry wished for work a bit different.
>>27030195>>27030238>>27030274True creation of permanent stuff is Magic territory. Projection is a skill that magi call worthless because they're idiots, and it allows you to make extremely temporary objects out of mana. Shirou kinda does something else, where he's basically reaching into his Reality Marble and grabbing swords and shit. His "projection" is a bit different in that they'll pretty much last as long as he can focus on them, but getting them damaged by fighting ancient heroes tends to ruin them.
>>27030514I'm looking for it right now, but I could have sworn there was a scene where they remark on a bunch of "empty" projections he has just laying around for who knows how long.
>>27030505You are wrong. Projection is not the 1st magic. You are solidifying prana, and it's only temporary. The 1st magic produces something from nothing. You do not solidify prana, you litterslly create the object. You get more out of it than you put into it. And it is permanent.
>>27030505The issue in HF is that he's changed too much to use ARCHER'S Reality Marble properly. His own UBW works, it's just too different from the UBW in Archer's arm, and they conflict with each other because of it.
>>27030505>he changes too much to activate it in the HF's route, by the end. His ideals have changed, so his internal world has changed. So long as he's yanking swords out of himself, he's still accessing his Reality Marble. Otherwise, he would not (under any circumstances) be able to pull out Noble Phantasms. He doesn't activate UBW in HF because of the arm eating him.
>>27030505As I understand it from somebody else explaining it on some other forum Shirou has two ways of producing the swordsA) tracing them wherein he uses the blueprints stored in his marble to make a perfect copy of the sword made of prana. This is time and magic intensive but lasts far longer and is not as readily rejected.B) just flat out pulling a copy from the marble into Gaia. This is far less time and prana intensive but causes a rank down for the good stuff and it immediately gets flagged for termination with extreme prejudice.
And... I'm gonna vanish for a few hours, as my bros want to watch KnK 7.I'll probably just delete this thread and start a new one with the first and second posts when I get back, as it has god knows how many posts, and only two actually story posts.
>>27030610Can you at least tell us if that crit fail will be an amusing crit fail or an "Oh god, they're dead" crit fail?
>>27030610160 as of that post.
>>27030610You make me cry
>>27030636My bet is that the boat is dead Jim.
>>27030610Probably wise, with the story/stuff ratio.. Sorry for shitting up your thread with Magic and reality marble talk, man. Enjoy KnK!
>>27030636Well that would be spoiling things. But I can assure you that you needn't worry about it too much. I can't write non-Lovecraftian "BAD THINGS HAPPENING" for shit.
>>27030685Realizing reality changed on us while we were asleep in "M"GQ was pretty "BAD THINGS HAPPENING," if my admittedly shoddy memory serves.
>>27030610ugh hate when people have friends, fuckers mess erryting up
>>27030817Oh, you're so hopeless anon-kun.BEHOLD! THE FREE TIME MAKER!If you stab his friends he wont be able to spend time with them
>>27030854GET OUT OF HERE SEHAI-KUN!YOU DON'T EXIST IN THIS UNIVERSE!
>>27030854Thank you, Grail-kun!
>>27030854Sehai-kun, you're my hero!
>>27030854Yandere quest anons... Sweet Jesus this is turning into misery
>>27030894You clearly don't get the joke.
>>27030894You mean this is turning into REJOICE right?
>>27030905We're pretty much guaranteed to REJOICE, Anon.
>>27030880Sehai-Kun? i've never heard of any Sehai-Kun!
>>27030927Is there any possible reason not to?
>>27030903I am aware that killing lots of people will make you into a hero. I just wanted to make a Stephen King reference.
>>27030927>yfw Voldy contracted with kyuubey
>>27030994That wasn't the joke.Seihai-kun (>>27030927) was a a personification of the holy grail, and his solution to everyone's problems was to give them a knife and tell them to kill the cause.
>>27030894>>27030994oh wow, I'm ashamed it took you outright stating it for me to catch that pun
>>27031028...I'm aware of that, otherwise why the hell would I be referencing the hero creation kit? I have seen carnival phantasm...
>>27030997And thus did voldemort become a witchAnd bellatrix was very confused
>>27030854Wait a minute there. This advice seems awfully contradictory.Perhaps... just maybe... all Seihai-Kun wants is for us to stab people....NAH, COULDN'T BE.
>>27030927So Iahes-kun how do you reccomend I get the good professor more free time to work on the quest?
>>27031367That's not reverse Sehai-kun. That's Sehai-kun fused with Kyuubey.
For the night.
I kind of want to see pic related meet Harry. Can you imagine a Rin trained by a non-mopey Archer? The result would be terrifyingly awesome.
>>27034111I don't think any Ron Weasley or WEASLEY would fit for a teacher
>>27034135Currently working on the next post (gonna be LOOOONNNNNNGGGGG). Then I'll delete this thread and start anew.
>>27034152Yup we did it, we killed the world. Everything is going to die
>>27034187No, I'm just going into pornographic detail... of you spear maneuvers.Oh god, even changed to be what you're actually doing, that still sounds fucking lewd.
>>27034152good good goodive been here since the start of the last thread, still not sure when to say the "session" is over
>>27034111is there some writefaggotry attached to this picture? if so, where?

>>27034234>Killing Illya>Any day of the week.Son, she's not dying. I'm a comedian at heart, a comedian! You all may well be naked by the end of it, though
>>27034241dude, high is bad in this setting. though seem to be special rules for triple crits
>>27034262Trust me, I know.I also know that spectacular failure is often more amusing than success.
>>27034260you know, im more than happy with that. nudity on boat full of girls that we cant get off of, one of which we have already professed our love to and are closer to her than anyone else...either she looks and is embarassed or trys to cover us up from the other girls
>>27034303Well, that, or she acts like a responsible girl and uses her alchemy to recreate all the dead clothing from their component parts.Hermione may never look at you without turning bright red, though. Anne's not really all that interested in boys though - she prefers tomboyish girls who look like mini-Signum.
>>27034341Hermione x Anneshe wont keep her head, not after the "sex ed vidoes" and the triple crit
>>27034370someone archive this before op deletesi never learned how
>>27034379No archive necessary. Too much fluff, not enough non-fluff. I'm just gonna repost the two posts at the beginning of the thread, as well as the third.
>>27034379Warosu and Fools are automatic, and suptg is clearly labelled. Don't bother.
>>27034411hmm, when i read archives its as much for the banter and wild speculation of the anons as it is the op's writing. no offense
>>27034431I'll archive as "Wild Fluffy Side Thread One" then.
>>27034446much appreciated. though not by me, by the archive lurkers
