Tonight, you will once again be meeting Mary Jane Watson. In your history with the girl, she is the ultimate bully. She beat you up, took your lunch money, kiked sand in your face, you name it. There was also the spaghetti incident…You shake your head and let out a sigh. It does help that you had trouble sleeping last night, so worried over Gwen’s utter block out of you for the past few days. Was it because she saw you with Black Cat? Is she upset because her dad was made to look bad in the papers? Maybe its just becasue she can't talk to you after you confessed to her?Man, can things get any worse?Today you…>[ ]Worked on your Costume>[ ]Talked with Eddie>[ ]Spent time in front of the TV, trying to get your mind off of things>[ ]Write in

After reading the massive argument over the future use of Spectacular points and what looked like a consensus to only use them to counteract Parker Luck. I feel I have to point something out.Right now, Parker Luck doesn't do anything. It only applies to Major Enemies, and we don't have any, and there are long term goals in making sure some of our more dangerous rogues don't even exist. More importantly, Parker Luck doesn't give villains a general buff. As per the example, Parker Luck only seems to increase a villain's capacity to intrude on our life as Peter Parker. So while we should work on keeping Parker Luck low, there is currently no reason to keep pushing PL to 0 at every opportunity. Especially with the rolling system we use.A 1-2 bonus on rolls for finding out our secret identity and intruding on our non superhero life isn't really that significant, yeah it's 10% statistically, but if they had enough bonuses for that 1-2 bonus to make that much of a difference, then it being at 0 is not going to represent that much of a safety net to make the cost of a Spectacular point worth it. The only time it's worth it is if at 0 it is impossible for a villain to find us, and that's not been proven (again, no major villains). Outside of that, working on keeping it less than 5 and holding on to Spectacular points for meeting goals, or once we start seeing heavy combat for the potential "dodge fate" power, is a better move in terms of play.It just seems both boring and lazy to use this resource to just ignore the system's risk.
>>27034915>b-b-but muh paranoia!
>>27034383>[ ]Talked with EddieI was about to head to bed but guess im skipping sleep tonight.
>>27034915One thing we can do to lessen our Rogues gallery is have a Frank and Adult conversation with our symbiont when we find out it's piloting us, instead of freaking it out and ripping it off.
>>27034993>A FrankI see what you did there.
>>27034993wow gee way to come up with that idea!its not like weve been saying it since thread 1
>>27034993What makes you think we'll even get the suit? Maybe Gwen will get it.
>>27034915Yeah, I can agree with this sentiment. Besides, the watcher knows we're still going to screw up and put our Parker Luck to the test at some point.
>>27035031Because our dad made it.
>>27034993Yes, that was exactly what I was talking about. Planning on befriending the Symbiote will take Venom out of the equation, and Venom is a powerhouse as far as my understanding of Spidey's rogues go. I'm also pretty sure that taking Venom out takes out most of the other symbiotes in the canon which shrinks the pool further.>>27035052Wait did Cos state this last time right before the thread was purged? Because I can't recall anywhere Cos made a definitive statement about the Symbiote's origins.
>>27035052Dude if that's the case then no-go.Ultimate Symbiote is evil as shit.
>>27035083He hasn't. The only question he has really answered was that most people do not believe mutants do not exist and even Charles Xavier states, and I am paraphrasing here, he was so hopped up on acid it being the 60s and all that him stating there are mutants was just drug induced craziness. The drug part maybe my own head canon, but he did say the 60s were a crazy time.
>>27035136He said that the idea that mutants exist is as absurd as the idea that there was a real Captain America, and not just propaganda for the allies.So... take what you will from that.
>>27035052If thats true, here are some wise words from the internet. "KILL IT WITH FIRE!"
>>27035126And Ultimate is sort of the same.
>>27035136of course, this being Charles Xavier, he's probably covering for his special school
>>27035193What does that even mean?
>>27035159Oh I know I was just trying (and clearly failing) to be funny.
>>27035195The implication so far is that supers haven't really hit public awareness level.Shield is a thing and its a sure bet they know about some of it.But the upshot for us is that we can preempt the fantastic four as the first "public" superhero if we want to.
>>27035230Arguably we already have. People don't know our web-slingers are technological after all.
Since we and the mutants are still in school......there is a possiblity that we might bump into them "aciddently" during a fieldtrip or something like that.
hey, my internet cut out. I have the next part written and will post it if/when my internet pops back up. currently posting from phone.

>>27035260Why does your internet hate fun?
>>27035252True, but noone is gonna look at that andImmediatly think something super odd.Odd sure, but explainable.Going public would be swinging along 5th avenue stopping muggers or giving eddie an exclusive on our origins.
>>27035260Ah internet, why must you do shit like this?
>>27035283It's probably AT&T, COX, or Comcast
.....does anyone have the sudden urge to play borderlands 2 right now, or is it just me?
So assuming Eddie Brock wasn't too preoccupied about the horrible murders that took place at his church, should we ask him why he pretty much slammed the brakes when we mentioned Gwen Stacy?Maybe it's deeper than having an overprotective dad?
>>27035260call and bitch to the company.... they will give you at least 10% off your next bill if not 25-35 if its a recurring problem.the line I like to use is "what are you going to do to make this right?"
>>27035136He also told us that S.H.I.E.L.D. exists and while we don't know what they do, they were the ones who were put in front of a camera to comment on superhumans.
>>27035389If it's AT&T they'll just tell him to fuck off.I know this from experience. They are a total shit company and the only reason I have them is because the only other option is a local dial-up only internet provider.
>>27035378Maybe Eddie tried to ask Gwen out and daddy stacy said NO.
>>27035448Gwen is like 15 and Eddie is at least 18
>>27035432get an assault rifle go to the corporate headquarters?
>>27035464We're 17, I think Gwen is that age too.
>>27035464Dude's like 25 I'd guess, if he's a front page reporter at a big newspaper.
>>27035464>Three years apart
>>27035493>Be 25>Still a low level graphic designer at a local company... well at least I'm employed and doing what I love.
>>27035493....meh, age is just another number anyways.
>>27035574Also we asked Gwen about Eddie and she didn't have nearly as strong a reaction, she just thought that he shows up to ask her dad a lot of questions, and Stacy gives Brock a hard time about it.
>>27035516Stay sexy, Black Cat
>>27035574Not when the girl is under the legal age it's not.
.............okaaaay then, how about our costume? How should we design it?
>>27035650I'm thinking this, but maybe a bit brighter? Why not start at the top.
>>27035600Could Gwen be Black Cat? It would explain knowing the situation with JJJ, and the disguise quality. She's also been hiding her real physical build and is a talented costume maker. It explains the wig, and the whole thing can be either teenage rebellion or an attempt to get press for the cops (even if they fail to catch her).Just a thought. Possibly nonsense, but so was Keigo!Aizen.
>>27035698...Black Cat's been operating long before the spider-bite.
>>27035698>implying trap felix isn't black cat.
>>27035698Black cat is probably felix. Not too sure. But it fits. The nandages could be from cybernetic surgery.
>>27035752I was thinking the bandages were just a convenient way of hiding the results of certain hormonal treatments.
Well I'm going to bed for tonight. I;ll read up on everything in the morning. Keep our loved ones save from the Carnage /tg/.
>>27035698But wouldn't she not been surprised to see us?
>>27035712Via superpowers or inside knowledge?Reverse trap is fine too, but my spider sense is tingling. Especially considering Peter's fear that Gwen found out about the kiss. Irony setup.
>>27035686Also something may need to be done about the shoes.I mean we can spider-grip things through our gloves, but if it's shoes we just... really keep those shoes on our feet.Maybe if we really thin the soles out, until they're about as thick as our gloves? Not much point to wearing shoes, but walking on walls is more important that arch support.
>>27035778The real question is what is she up to that requires her to spend most of her time disguised as an infirm boy?
LIST OF SUSPECTS FOR BLACK CAT>Felix>Felix's mum (Felix actually IS an infirm young boy and she needs the money for his treatments)>Gwen
>>27035795Bluffing. We were a preplanned distraction. It also explains her offer of help: She's being honest and open because "Gwen's" life and reputation aren't in play.
>>27035843>Felix's Reverse Trap Sister.>Felix's Hot Older Sister....HEY. Let's call our buddy Felix and see if he's doing any better, and if not wish him well
>>27035864I think his dad said he'd call us.
>>27035813>via superpowers or inside knowledge? Both I'd expect. The black cat already had established a solid reputation for doing the impossible long before we got bit. As for Peter fear, I'm pretty sure it got pulled from the paranoid speculation of /tg/. Not saying you're wrong (I'd certainly be amused if Cosgrove's planning something along the lines your thinking), just that you migh twang to temper those hopes.
>>27035843Ou forgot galactus, Aunt May, reverse gender parker clone, future badend timeline mary jane, wolverine in somone elses body, and the psychic projection of professor x.
>>27035829She doesn't. It's just her cover she uses when not stealing shit. Very useful when needing to lay low after a heist.
>>27035864Didn't his dad basically say "Felix is really sick right now, I'll call you when he's stable enough for visitors"? I think we might want to give Fefe a bit of room to recover and get his feet back under him before we try to make contact.
>>27035933What, you think those notes we looked through were just forged? That's a bold assumption.Especially since A: no one really knows Felix Hardy exists, and B: due to his apparent reclusive nature, he's rubbish as an alibi.
>>27035843Pretty sure we established that the Black Cat steals thinks because she loves making a living that way, not because she's in desperate need of cash. Given all the pageantry she sets up around a heist I don't think that should be particularly surprising.
>>27035994And yet it is corroborated by medical and academic records. There is no way Mr. hardy is physically capable for performing any of the rigorous activities associated with the black cat. Not the worst cover as these things go.
>>27035813Ya that would be kind of funny...
>>27035994Felix isnt an alibi because black cat doesn't need an alibi.Shes in a kind of disguise on the job.The only way to link her to a crime would be to catch her or obtain hard evidence.Felix being a recluce actually works in her advantage because noone ever notices if he's not there or is acting suspicious. Plus he has an excellent excuse for leaving for long stretches of time.
>>27036121Plus the whole felix the cat pun.I'd wager the reason we don't have a study session with felix is because felicia is trying to find spiderman.Which is really ironic when you think about it.Too bad she rolled so poorly, we might have woken up with a cat in our lap.

Well we don't need to worry about an archive at least since it never had any story posts...
I bet the Jews did this

>>27039813It didn't say it wasn't blood. It didn't say it was, either, but given the circumstances it being blood makes perfect sense. All we know is that he left red handprints on the paper he was reading, and he had just murdered a bunch of people. It could be something other than his victims' blood, but for now I wouldn't jump too any conclusions about him being powered.
>>27039717>Who do you think runs Oscrops behind the shadows?Mr. Torgue
>[ ]Talked with EddieYou talked with Eddie Brock, your old friend you reconnected with recently. He’s a reporter for the Daily Bugle. Last you saw him, he took a picture of you during your Capture of the Black Cat as ‘Spider-man.’ As he promised, he called you today and you ended up talking with him for a little while.Seems like his church just got a new member to it, a man named Cletus Cassidy, though Eddie has yet to meet him. Could he be that man you met yesterday? Regardless, though he couldn’t talk about it he’s currently investigating three different cases, one just given to him by his boss, J Jonah Jameson. Seems like he’s keeping busy, though it seemed like he was a bit under the weather.Still, it had been a nice distraction talking to him, all things considered. Talking with an old friend seems to brighten his mood as the two of you talked about the past and he laughed at the fact Mary Jane Watson was returning to town. He jokingly promised to speak of how terribly you went out in her hands at your funeral and that the secrets of that incident would never be repeated to another person, so long as he lived.Eventually he had to go as his girlfriend was calling and your talk with him came to an end. You spent the rest of the day adjusting Felix’s tutoring schedule and keeping up to date on your schoolwork, with some studying in the meantime. But, as always, all good things must come to an end. Its approaching evening and you promised Aunt May that you’d spend some time with Mary Jane Watson tonight.…Joy.Still, you should probably get ready.>[ ]Look nice, dress to impress! >[ ]Eh, what I’ve got on is good.>[ ]Wear something outlandish, maybe she won’t want anything to do with you!>[ ]Write in

>>27050256I'm pissed that /tg/ pulls this goddamn shit *all the time* and even when a a girl's acting as repulsive as possible, we *still* wind up pulling this crap. She wasn't chased away, she clearly left without telling us, meaning she DOESN'T want us to follow her.>>27050324No, I think she can take care of her self, she clearly doesn't want us to follower her, but we're going to go out of our way to do so anyways.>>27050267I'd assume he could take care of himself, since he left WITHOUT TELLING US.>>27050342From what? We aren't saving her from anything, as far as we know she simply left of her own accordChrist you people are thick.
>We find her>She's just giving people BJs in the ally>I may or may not have been proofreading H-manga edits all day
>>27050375Welcome to /tg/, the biggest group of bleeding hearts and white knights this side of the internet.I'm sick of it myself.
>>27050373That is not even close to physically possible. You do know that right?
>>27050375>You people are thickIf you think you're insane, you're not insane. It's Catch-22.If you think everyone but you is insane however...
>>27050211Rooftop hop. Because we might as well enjoy ourselves a bit while dealing with this.>>27050270Dude, it's not "we need to save the girl", it's "we don't want Aunt May to be disappointed with us". Is MJ kind of awful and unpleasant to deal with? Sure. But Aunt May's disapproval will be worse. Do you really want to hear a "Peter Benjamin Parker, I am shocked at how you behaved tonight!" speech? Gender influences that, of course, but we're not white knighting. We're assuming that looking for MJ is the quickest way to resolve this issue.
>>27050403You say this as if we weren't living in a world filled with Unstable Molecules and Teenagers with Spider Powers.
>>27050375>She isn't immediately all over our dick like the other two girls we've met>She should burn in hell
>>27050375The problem is that she'd previously been acting emotionally described to such an extent thar we can't trust her to make good rational desisions at present. And she's a family friend, you're obligated to show some measure of loyalty to those.
>>27050330We don't have our costume on us.>follow the lead
>>27050396>>27050375>abloobloobloo I want to be a shitty person and the rest of /tg/ won't let meWhy not leave and start a villain quest? Or head off to /a/ or reddit where they appreciate that sort of thing?
Rolled 9>>27050211>[ ]Go around the corner and head along the rooftops- its faster
>>27050419Well, the only thing we know of so far are spider powers
One thread away from being last on the last page. Cosgrove, could you get on that new thread, please?
>>27050396>>27050375WE. ARE. SPIDERMAN!Even if we haven't got the Great Power speech, that doesn't mean we have to act like a goddamn edgy 14 year old.
>>27050440Peter is too realistic and scientific. It's really one of his greatest weaknesses. We should do better than that.
>>27050211Ignoring all the folks shitting up the thread in zero hour...>Follow the leadIt's getting dark sure, but we're just trying to find her; we don't know if she's in trouble or anything.
>>27050387In that case we determine whether it's consensual before doing anything else.
>>27050375>>27050396Are you guys acting like she really doesn't appear to be in a healthy state of mind right now? It's just "a bitch is a bitch"?You're exactly as creepy as they've said in the QTGs.
>>27050440Still worth looking into, especially if we find a way to get an Internship with one of the big Brains, like Stark, Richards or Pym. Unstable Molecules really do solve life's problems.
