Don't know what Valkyria Chronicles is? Check it out here! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valkyria_Chronicles or http://valkyria.wikia.com/wiki/Valkyria_Wiki

You are LUCAS WILLIAMS, a student in the Sturmfuhrer Academy and currently enrolled in its elite TIER ONE Program. You've already got your little squad together and ready, but you've run into a bit of a problem. This "teambuilding" exercise you're currently on is less "teambuilding" and more "oh god everybody is out to get you". More specifically, your teachers probably found it amusing to make everybody gang up on what was presumably the most powerful team. Yours.

Thankfully, you not only succeeded, but you soundly trounced the other teams thanks to a combination skill, guts and sheer dumb luck.

You also found out that your squad sniper, Morgan, is actually a girl posing as a boy, for reasons still unstated. However, you agreed to keep the whole thing a secret from the rest of the your squad.

You also found out in the middle of your training that you had a hidden dark side, a destructive bloodlust that triggers whenever you see someone you care about get hurt. Thankfully, you've been taking special training to suppress that urge, so it really shouldn't be a problem in the foreseeable future.

And your Tier One training continues...

Man, last thread's small discussion on Lara's misinterpretation of Luca's relationship with Morgan really got my creative juices flowing. So here's just some lines for Lucas to say if Lara, the fujoshi, ever asks him about his relationship with Morgan:

(Forgive me for what I'm about to do)

>1. "Sorry, but if I told you, Morgan will be on top of me all day until we graduate."

>2. "Morgan's a sniper, he saved me many times from people who wanted to get to my blindspot. That's why I trust him watching my rear."

>3. "One time, Morgan got his gun dirty and needed help cleaning it. So I began polishing it while he checked to see if his gun's action was working properly before he shot it in the range."

>4. "He may be popular with the ladies, but he's not into their sort of type, and I've sworn on my Knight's honor that I will protect his preferences until he is able to proudly announce it to the world with me by his side."

Lara confronting Morgan:

>"Morgan, I just wanted to say that I know your secret. At first, I just couldn't believe that you were like that until I saw how Luke was this close to you. I tried to deny it, but when he told me about all of the times you spent together and how cheerful he sounded, I... I just couldn't ignore the signs anymore. Morgan, as Luke's sister, I just want to tell you that it's okay to be in a homosexual relationship with him. I couldn't know about how hard it is for you being like this, I know that the road ahead will be rough, and people won't be able to accept you, I just wanted to say that I'm here with open arms, so please... just make him happy.

Well, you made it!

Despite all odds, and all the obstacles Ramirez, Tarin, and Simo threw your way, you and Alpha Team managed to graduate from Tier One! It was a long, punishing year, with endless training drills, simulated combat, survival runs, and many many MANY close calls. But you made it!

However, the actual graduation ceremony was a bit anti-climactic. Rather than the big flashy ceremony the "normal" students got, the Tier One graduation ceremony was a small and humble affair. However, it sort of made sense in the fact that special forces were supposed to maintain a low profile. The less people knew about you, the more dangerous you were. That was something Tarin and Ramirez had been constantly beating into you since day one.

Out of the original 50 students, only 18, including Alpha Team, managed to graduate. This was actually one of the most successful years, and the very first an entire team managed to make it through unscathed.

Again, the ceremony was a simple affair, with some of the faculty, some family members, and some Tier One alumni attending. You each received diplomas, as well as the much sought after Black Beret, which signified completion of Tier One training. The Black Beret was... well... a black beret with a red stripe and Demons' Tier One logo: a demonic variation of the Gallian unicorn head with two knives crossed in the background. Also contained in the emblem was the Tier One motto, "No Matter The Odds".

However, the most memorable part of the ceremony was at the end, where you actually saw Ramirez CRYING.

"Proper bloody operators." You heard him sputter.

And with that, your place in the Demons of Randgriz was made official.

Currently, you were sitting in the back of a Skyranger en route to Randgriz, the Gallian capital, as part of the traditional Sturmfuhrer Academy graduation trip. Outside the windows, you can see the pilot graduates in their own brand new, personally issued planes flying in formation nearby. You wonder which one Lara is in. It's hard to tell because all the plane were painted in the standard Demon red and black. You heard that Aces would be able to customize their paint schemes, though.

Currently, the ride was smooth enough, though you still got flashes of your first paradrop, which was a bit traumatizing. It also didn't help that your Skyranger's pilot was nicknamed "Barfbag"...

"My callsign in no way reflects on my ability to keep a plane in straight in level flight.... or to land it in one piece." He said at the beginning of the trip. You're not sure if you believe him or not.

However, you're still a ways out from Randgriz. Most of your squad is still asleep, though there are a couple who are still awake.

CODEX ENTRY UNLOCKED

DC-4 Skyranger Multipurpose Aircraft

Quite possibly the most produced aircraft in the world, the Skyranger is the perfect embodiment of Emmerian engineering: cheap, reliable, easy to fly, and even easier to build.

The design is so simple and robust, that people still can't stop finding uses for them as transports and cargo planes.

Skyraiders can be found among Emmerian, Federation, and Gallian air forces, and among countless civilian outfits.

"Okay, seriously, what's your problem? I've never done anything to you, but you always act like - like I killed your dog or something!" You say with an exasperated tone. Edwin's been nothing but antagonistic towards pretty much everybody this entire time.

"Hmph, I really shouldn't be talking to a commoner like you, but you have some Belkan blood in you, and that counts for something." Edwin says. "It's just that I've come to conclude that there's only two types of people in this world. Those who can pull their weight and those that can't. I have no time to waste on the latter."

"So then what does that make Alpha Team?"

"You all have acceptable competence." Edwin says. "After all, you managed to graduate Tier One with me, so that counts for something."

"Yeah but... do you have to be so mean about it?"

"My mother taught me to never have my time be wasted by fools. I followed her advice."

"Uhhhh, I'm not quite sure that's what Auntie Karla meant when she said that..."

"It's GRAND MASTER HOHENZOLLERN." Edwin glares at you. "Nobody should be able to speak of her so casually!"

Ouch, it looks like you hit a bit of a nerve there.

Hey guys, I might've figured out Edwin a little.

See, he was raised by Karla and Schnee right?

Schnee never stopped thinking of Karla as the Princess even after the aristocracy was removed.

Edwin's been raised his entire life being told his mom SHOULD be a Princess and he SHOULD be a Prince with all that entails. No wonder he's uptight.

Your parting shot succeeds in getting a rise out of Edwin, who just turns red in the face and looks away, mumbling under his breath.

However, you slide has you bump into Sparky. Fortunately for you, she's already awake. In fact, you're pretty sure she was awake during the whole flight. She had so much energy you're not even sure she had a concept of what sleep was.

"What? Me? Blow something up?" Sparky gasps with mock horror. "How could you ever accuse me of such a thing?!"

"Seriously, Sparky, you like, blow up at least one thing in every training exercise we had, even in the ones we weren't supposed to have explosives."

"Oh please, Randgriz is an ancient city full of history and culture! I could never blow up something so pretty!"

You just keep staring at her.

"...okay, maybe a fountain or two."

"Well, as long as you don't cause anything permanent." You sigh.

The US Army has shrinks, MOS 73B, and they have them talk to people who are showing signs of psychological issues. In fact, the incident with Bannon and the civilians is EXACTLY the kind of thing that someoen would be ordered to see a 73B about. So maybe you should, y'know, do a little research before dismissing a proposal that a character should have seen a shrink.
Plus there was a whole period between the end of their time in Europe and the beginning of the game when he should have been seeing someone. The dude was showing OBVIOUS signs, but nobody thought "Oh, hey, we should get this guy help for his blatant psychological issues."

"You mean your Uncle Vinnie?" You ask. You know that Sparky pretty much worships the guy. Then again, he did sound pretty cool from how Sparky described him.

"Of course! Uncle Vinnie wrote the book on explosives! I mean, he literally did write all the books on them."

"Huh, I think you're right..." You do vaguely recall some of your old textbooks bearing his name. "So like, what exactly does he DO that warrants his particular set of skills?"

"Ah, well, it's kinda a long story... but I'll tell it anyways!" Sparky gives that regular toothy grin of hers. "He started off as a miner, and then went into EWII as a sapper, so he was pretty much into explosives his entire life. Then he goes and disappears for several years, working for some ungodly rich Emmerian guy. He never really told anybody what exactly he did during those years, but he got paid really well for it, and he even got me a souvenir!"

Sparky then reaches into her shirt and pulls out a small chunk of crystallized ragnite that seemed to glow blue in the dark.

"Pretty, huh?"

"Yeah." You nod.

"Anyways, not too sure what this thing does, besides glow and look really pretty." Sparky shrugs as she tucks it underneath her shirt again.

You're about to comment more on it but you're interrupted by the plane's intercom squawking.

>>27074278

"Attention passengers, this is Barfbag. We're on approach to Randgriz Airport and will be landing shortly. Be sure to keep yourselves strapped in nice and tight and uhh.... any shaking and rumbling is just turbulence, you got that? Just turbulence. Nothing to worry about at all...."

You quickly return to your seat and buckle in. At this point, the rest of your squad is starting to wake up as well and they similarly begin to make sure they're strapped in properly.

Despite Barfbag's pessimism, the Skyranger lands smoothly and without a hitch. Looking out the window, you see the planes being flown by the graduates landing on the adjacent runway.

"Okay! Everybody!" Simo yells, taking a position at the door to make sure nobody gets out before he does. "Make sure you don't leave anything on the plane. If you lose something, it's on you! Also, remember that Randgriz has LAWS and a POLICE FORCE. Please try to keep your activities legal! Does everybody understand that?"

"Yes sir!" Everybody says, though you're pretty sure some of those were pure and blatant lies.

"Alright, everybody dismount and regroup in the hangar, and we'll try to arrange some sort of plan!" Simo then hops out of the plane. "Oh right, and in addition to me, we'll be getting a new addition to the the team!"

Simo points to a man already waiting for you on the runway. Well, describing him as a man was a bit inaccurate, as he was more a mountain of muscle and bone than a man.

"Simo!" The man booms, picking up the sniper in a huge bear hug. "How've you been?!"

"I'm fine, and you still look like hammered shit." Simo laughs and turns to the squad. "This ugly excuse for a man here is Bragg, similarly a Tier One alumni and from my class. He'll be my second in command."

"Pleasure meeting ya all!" Bragg salutes. You also notice despite it large and intimidating appearance, he's also wearing a pair of thick rimmed black glasses, which also gives him a bit of a scholarly look. "So Simo, we gonna try it this year?"

"I guess." Simo sighs.

"What are you guys going to do?" You ask.

"Bragg's going to try and do the Demons' Mile."

"The Demons' Mile?" You blink.

"Sort of a tradition that started about twenty years back." Simo shrugs. "It supposedly retraces the route our parents took when they went on a drunken rampage through the city after kicking the GRA out during the Civil War."

"Well uh, you guys can go ahead, then." Charlotte says. "Me and the girls were uh, gonna take Lucina out shopping."

"What?" You blink.

"What?" Lucina blinks.

"Oh come ooooon, don't pretend you don't know!" Charlotte turns to face her blue haired friend. "You. Do not. Have. Any. Decent. Clothes."

"But the standard uniform fulfills all of my basic needs-"

"Shush!"

At this point, the rest of the girls (except Morgan) were surrounding Lucina, blocking off all routes of escape. It didn't matter how skilled Lucina was, she wasn't getting out of this. You see Lucina's eyes dart toward you, as if she was silently begging you to help her.

This left you conflicted. On the one hand, you kinda felt bad about the other girls ganging up on Lucina like this. On the other, you did always want to see what Lucina looked like in a dress, or even a skirt...

"I hope that weeks worth of dessert rations was worth it, Lucina." You say with a smug grin.

Oh, that crestfallen look Lucina gives when she realizes her mistake is sweeter than any dessert Mom could make. Karma was such a wonderful thing.

"See you later, Lucina. I hope you find something nice for yourself!" You say as your poor best friend gets dragged away by the combined efforts of Charlotte, Falynn, Sparky, and Mary-Kate.

"Oh boy, shopping with girls. Wouldn't want to wish that on any poor soul." Bragg sighs. "ANYWAYS, let's get this tavern run started! Simo! Where do we start?"

"The Opening Shot." Simo says, his face buried in a map of the city.

As you start to the follow the rest of the guys, you feel a light tug on your sleeve and you turn to see Morgan, looking doubly nervous.

That's because it came out of NOWHERE. With Bragg, you could see it coming, you knew in the buildup that Cuu was about to try and kill him. But with Caff, it's a sudden moment of intense violence all the way at the end of the book, and before you even have time to really adjust to the idea that "Caff's dead", the book ends. Plus you gotta feel something for Criid, I mean he died and she didn't even get to say goodbye. No touching last words, nothing. One minute he's there, the next he's gone.
>>
>>27074729
"So where do you want to go, then?" You ask.

"Well, I always did want to see the Randgriz War Museum..." Morgan shifts nervously. "This is my first time in Randgriz."

"Hey, I don't know if you noticed, but Morgan doesn't really seem comfortable with going on a tavern run, and he said he sort of wanted to go see the Randgriz War Museum. You think I can take him there and show him the sights?"

"All right, I'll allow it." Simo finally gives in. "But I have to remind you, PLEASE do not get into any trouble. You're not the only military personnel taking a day off in Randgriz."

"Got it, sir."

"And you don't let Morgan out of your sight. God knows what will happen if he gets lost out here."

"Yes sir."

"And if you need to find us, well..." Simo hands you a map with several markers drawn on it. "Just head to any one of these taverns and ask around for us. If we haven't been there yet, just wait for us to arrive. If we already passed through, head for the next one. Is that clear?"

"Crystal, sir."

"All right, go on, then."

And just like that, the War Museum is right where you remember it. Also double fortunate is that it's still open. You've always vaguely recalled the museum always having finicky hours. It just never seemed to stay open long enough, but you're digressing here.

"Wow..." Morgan's eyes widen when she gets her first glimpse of the museum.

It's a rather large, regal building, with great stone pillars and reliefs surrounding the more modern interior. Outside, right in front of the war museum is a bronze reproduction of the famous Edelweiss, standing at the entrance like a stalwart, implacable defender.

"So this is what Edelweiss looks like..." Morgan breathes as she brushes a hand along the side of the bronze sculpture.

>>
>>27076616

Why not just take a wheeled AFV and put a lightweight tank cannon on the top, like the Stryker Mobile Gun System?
>>
>>27076576
Maybe. I think, in the end, the mission would dictate what we give Runaround more than anything else. I just have a personal love of Mediums.

>>27076616 See previous statement. Also, while I do like that idea for flexibility in the field, I'm concerned about taking hits, which will inevitably happen at some point.
>>
>>27076699
Actually, calling it a tank is more than a little inaccurate. It's a reconnaissance vehicle.
>>
>>27076706
Why bother with the extra mechanism necessary for the turret? On the stryker MGS, it breaks. A lot. Had a buddy who was a gunner on one. Said the damn thing was always fucking broken. Perhaps a wheeled AFG with a casemate style body?
>>
>>27076407

Does it have to be a tank? What if our unit needs to quickly get around town? Desanting is fun, but I'd rather we be surrounded by a few inches of armor when we pull up to an enemy base.

With that in mind, I propose that we take a run of the mill wheeled APC, slap on another pair of wheels, give it a bit more firepower in the form of maybe a combined grenade launcher/fifty cal turret, and have it able to reach a goodly top speed even with two or three of its wheels knocked out, while still having a good amount of armor all around to protect from everything but a tank shell, because if we're taking tank shells, we're right fucked anyhow.
>>
>>27076898
You mean like a BMP? Though the driver might die if they run over a landmine.
>>
>>27076923

A BMP-like platform, yes. We need some sort of do-all IFV platform that can be dropped from planes, most likely has amphibious capabilities, goes at a decent enough speed, has a bit of bite, and enough armor to take anything short of not-TOW-rockets/tank shells
>>
>>27077011
why do i get the feeling it's going to turn out like the Bradley all over again?
>>
>>27076898
Meh, I think a fast AFV with a good gun is going to be the way to go. We can climb on board if we need to need to relocate quickly.
>>
>>27077011
The question is, should our vehicle be able to take out tanks or infantry?
>>
>>27077011
No, we need to be more focused on what a small unit engaged in fights with numerically superior forces actually needs. That is not a BMP, but rather a focused AFV with the good speed and a weapon sufficient to defeat enemy armor and breach hardpoints. We don't need to be sitting in a metal box holding our dicks.
>>
>>27076176
"I never took you as a tank enthusiast." You say, grinning at Morgan's childlike wonder. "I would've thought a sniper like you would utterly hate them."

"Yeah, well, from where I come from, you grow up having a healthy respect for tanks." Morgan smiles. "What do you think they did with the real one?"

"The original Edelweiss? No clue." You shrug. "There's lot's of stories going around. Some say it got sold off to some private buyer, others say it got trashed in some accident, and others say it's locked away in some warehouse somewhere."

"And what do you think?"

"Me? Personally, I think Welkin just took it home and put it back in his garage where it belongs." You shrug. "But, that's not nearly as interesting as the other theories, though."

"I guess you're right." Morgan smiles. Goddamn, she should smile more often. She looks really cut when she does "Come on, I wanna see what's inside!"

With that, you see Morgan literally SKIPPING her way to the front doors. Fortunately, out here, people wouldn't be certain of Morgan's gender anyways, so it wasn't as odd as it would have been at school. You just shake you head and follow close behind.

And you spend the next few hours just browsing the rows of tanks Gallia had collected in the past two Europan Wars. Gallian tanks, Imperial tanks, and even some donated Federation and Emmerian tanks were out there in full force. There were even a couple of ultra rare Gallian Royal Guard variant tank destroyers. The regular ones alone were hard enough to find!

And Morgan's just having the time of her life, carefully examine each and every armored vehicle you come across.

However, at this point, you come to a new section of the museum. Here, the rows of tanks ended to give way to a newer weapon.

Airplanes.

Suspended in the air, you see the original ISARA biplane in all of its glory. This was a particularly revered artifact by Gallia, as it is the very first documented heavier than air aircraft capable of flying. You know of many foreign museums have been constantly pleading the Archduchess allow it to be loaned out, but it was a Gallian treasure that would stay in Gallia.

However, right behind the biplane was another plane that sort of resembled a Condor, though it was bulkier and was a two seater instead of one.

And then you remember. It was THAT plane. Oh dear, the story behind that one...

"Huh, I don't remember seeing this plane before." Morgan frowns. "Is this some kind of failed model?"

"No... it's just a prototype." You squeak.

"Hmmmm, the second aircraft capable of flight. The ISARA X2..." Morgan narrows her eyes. "The Demonflight?"

It was... a pretty hilarious and slightly embarrassing story...

CODEX ENTRY UNLOCKED

See, it all started about eighteen or so years ago. The Demons were still high off the end of the Second Europan War, and the academy wasn't quite fully established yet. However, Qyburn was still going at it, advancing the field of weapons research in leaps and bounds. In just a few short years, he had managed to copy and later improve on Isara's basic flight principles, which created the I-X2, the predecessor to the Condor.

Meanwhile, Sam had left Castle Sturmfuhrer for Randgriz in order to visit her family, despite the fact she was heavily pregnant at the time. While the doctors discouraged any sort of long distance travel they seemed to agree that she wouldn't be going into labor any time soon.

And, because Fate had a sense of humor, Sam started going to labor shortly after she reached Randgriz.

Meanwhile, Jager was still running things at Castle Sturmfuhrer when received the news. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't be able to witness the birth of his twins, considering Randgriz was halfway across Gallia. No form of transport would get there in time.

Well, GROUND transport, anyways.

So, what started as an innocent question to Qyburn about how fast the I-X2 would reach Randgriz ended with the craft being commandeered, with Jager piloting and Qyburn giving him a crash course on how to operate the controls from the rear seat. Suffice to say, the ride was a pretty wild one...

Approximately three hours later, the citizens of Randgriz were disturbed when they heard an alien, roaring noise as the I-X2 screamed past overhead. It then proceeded to crash land on the hospital lawn, where Jager immediately leaped out of the cockpit, cold cocked a police man who tried to stop him, and proceeded to enter the hospital to see to his wife and newly born children.

Besides giving the I-X2 a very interesting backstory to tell to younger generations, the implications of the flight were vast, as it explicitly showed to Gallian High Command how easily a single plane could breach all of the fortified lines of defense erected around their very own capital.

Afterwards, the Gallian National Arsenal's full resources were retooled for the research and production of aircraft for military applications, and the rest is history.

For those who don't know, Earle E Johnson is the smartass who, during WWII, took off in his personal plane with a payload of three sandbags and, from 500 feet AGL, dropped them on top of three war plants. The next morning, he called the factories and informed them that they had been "bombed" the night before, and to check the roofs. All to prove just how much damage a saboteur in a small aircraft could do.

"Of course they do. It's not exactly something you can just live down." You note wryly.

"I guess not." Morgan snickers. "I wonder is there more to this museum?"

"Well, there's also the weapons hall." You shrug. "They might still have the Ruhm stored here, or they might have returned to the Empire. I don't quite remember..."

Such thoughts are most unbecoming of the descendant of a Belkan Knight!

Son of a bitch.

Nothing gets in between Jaeger and what he wants. NO ONE.

Why aren't Best Char and Falynn more proud that they were the reason for something this... crazy.

WE NEED A DRAWFAG ON THIS. NOW.
>>
>>27077713
Also, just throwing a cursory look at the design, it seems to take more from the MG-34
>>
>>27077754

Actually, the M60 took it's design quirks from the FG42 and not the MG42.

...which was blatantly ripped off from a Belgian machinegun.

When you fight Selvaria who is wielding it, you might as well be fighting someone who has a scout's view range, the dakka and ammo clip of a machine gun, and the accuracy of a sniper. That is why I call it a MG-42 equivalent.
>>
>>27077735

Well, if we're gonna pull an Ocean's Eleven, we're gonna need to put together a good crew. Do we know anyone who has a good feel on museum security? How about a wheelman? Electronics expert? Con men and pickpockets?

Sure enough, the Ruhm is stored right where you remember it. The massive machine gun, which at one point had served as the infamous Selvaria Bles' main weapon, now sat in an armored glass case for any random passerby to stare at it.

"Whoa..." Morgan's eyes widen as she looks at the gun. "I heard that this gun was ultra accurate, not just for a machine gun, but for ANY gun."

"Yeah, I heard the stories, too." You nod. "Played a lot of hell with Squad 7 when they went up against it. Pretty sure they had blast once they managed to capture it from her, though."

"I'm sure they did." Morgan grins. "You know... I just had a really STUPID idea..."

"Oh?"

"I wanna put a scope on it."

2.286 kilometers, to be exact. A record that stood until March 2002, when Corporal Rob Furlong, of 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, beat it with a kill at 2,430 meters, using a McMillan Tac-50 rifle.
Master Corporal Aaron Perry of the same unit made another Hathcock beating kill (2,310 meters) in the same day, using the same model of rifle.
Furlong's record held until November 2009, when Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison, of the UK's Life Guards, set a new record with a pair of consecutive kills at 2,475 meters, using an Accuracy International L115A3 .338 Lapua Magnum. Harrison himself has stated that it was possible due to him having ideal conditions for his shot (no winds, high visibility, and mild weather) but this is, at least in part, modesty, as that is one HELL of a shot.
>>
>>27077884
"Heh, that would make one mean sniper rifle, then." You laugh. "Pity it's just stuck in this dusty old case."

"Yeah...." Morgan sighs as she touches the glass. "Such a pity."

You're pretty sure the same though goes through both your heads, to steal the thing, but you quickly banish the thought. Stealing a war relic was pretty bad idea all around.

"Hey, maybe Q-Labs could make a copy or something." Morgan points out, as if she's read your mind.

"Yeah, I guess we could always ask them." You laugh nervously.

With your little museum visit done, the two of you exit the building, both still in a heated discussion over the merits of a scoped machine gun, and whether a gunner or sniper would be more suited to use it.

At this point it was starting to get dark. You're also guessing that the guys are probably well into their tavern run by now, assuming they haven't gotten into a fight or arrested or anything.

The girls? Well.... you don't have the first idea where they might be.

"You know what, I'm hungry too!" You nod. However, at this hour, your dining choices were limited. Fortunately, you manage to find a hot dog vendor and you both order the biggest, juiciest ones he had.

"You know." Morgan says as she takes a bite out of her hot dog. "It feels really nice, being able to hang out with someone you don't have to keep hiding your gender from. It's pretty liberating."

"I can't even imagine how hard it is." You nod. "I mean, I'm pretty bad at lying myself, so I don't think I'd ever be able to pull off what you're doing."

"You know," Morgan snickers. "With the right clothes and maybe a bit of makeup, I think you'd pass for a really cute girl."

"I... I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not." You frown.

"It totally is!" Morgan laughs."You should try it sometime."

"...I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer. You use your finger to wipe a small wad of mustard off Morgan's cheek and then lick it up. "You missed a spot."

"Where do you think Charlotte and Falynn would take Lucina?"

"Hmmmm, I think I got an idea...."

Lara guides you to apparently what are supposed to be the trendiest shops in Randgriz. Not that you would know, since you're a guy and not concerned with any of that stuff, though you notice Morgan can't hide the look of fascination as you pass by the windows featuring all the latest fads in female fashion.

However, the first couple tries turn out to be busts, but the third time proves to be the charm. Lara leads you into yet another store, and as you move towards the back, you see it.

Whoa.

Whoa.

WHOA.

It was far better than you expected it to be. In fact, even Lara and Morgan are flat out speechless at the loose, yet form fitting white dress Lucina was wearing.

"L-Lucas? Lara? Morgan? W-what are you doing here?" Lucina blinks in surprise.

Your mouth flaps open and closed, but no sound comes out. You expecting something epic, but not something THIS epic. It was like Icarus flying too close the sun. You dabbled with things you should not have and now you have been burned and are falling to you imminent doom-

"Earth to Lucas." Lucina says as she flicks you in the forehead.

"Gah!" You blink, finally regaining your senses. "Oh, hey Lucina, uhh... what's up?"

"This feels so weird." Lucina frowns.

"Well, I think you look GORGEOUS in it!" Lara squeals. "You need to do this more often!"

"Yeah... it looks nice..." Morgan mumbles, suddenly becoming much more meek and introverted now that she was among strangers again, though she seemed a bit more down than usual.

"Wait a minute...." You narrow your eyes. "Lucina. Where are the Twins?"

"Well, it was nice seeing you Lucina, but we've really got to meet up with the rest of the guys before they get worried so... wegottagoreallyfastsobye!"

You grab Morgan and make a mad dash for the front door. You see movement and duck as two sets of arms lash out to try and grab you.

"Ha! Too slow!" You sneer as you leave Charlotte and Falynn in the dust.

"Agh! So close!" Charlotte curses. "You haven't seen the last of us, Lucaaaaaas!"

"See you later tonight!" You wave, but you don't stop, which is fortunate because you barely manage to dodge Sparky and Mary-Kate as well.

"What is it with girls wanting me to crossdress?!?" You wail as you successfully extract yourself from the shop.

"You have to admit, you do have the looks for it." Morgan grins slyly.

"Ha ha, no."

You might as well try and head off the rest of Alpha Team. You glance at the map and decide to just make a beeline for the last stop. Gassenarls' End.

I agree, I vote to spend time with Morgan because I'm legitimately curious, but I'm just not interesting in waifuing her. I really like her character though. The only problem I have is with the way spending time with girls seems to work is Finding out her secret = Morgan route.

>>
>>27080117
I just can't wait to see Morgan in a dress and swimsuit...
>>
>>27080053
Thankfully, you manage to make it to Gassenarl's End without incident. You just had to dodge several groups of drunks, who ironically kept mistaking Morgan for a girl and kept trying to hit on her. Fortunately, they were too inebriated to really prove much of a threat and they were painfully easy to dodge. Plus, the police were out in force tonight and were quick to shoo or cart away any troublemakers.

The tavern itself was situated above the same cliff that Mom and her friends had driven a flaming tank off of. In fact, the big attraction to this place was the glass bottom patio, which gave patrons a birds eye view of the tank wreckage which was still sitting at the foot of the cliff.

Inside the tavern itself, there was a pretty big ruckus as the men of Alpha Team were celebrating their completion of the Demons' Mile, a feat attempted by many but completed only by a few.

"Ah, so I see you two are still okay." Simo nods to you and Morgan.

"You're not drinking?" You ask. NOBODY could stay that sober.

"Well, somebody's got to make sure these clowns don't get into trouble." Simo sighs.

Sure enough, Runaround, Edwin, and Bragg seem to having a good, alcohol fueled time. While Bragg seems more or less lucid, Edwin and Runaround are completely lost causes. You're not even sure how the both of them are even still standing.

"I'm impressed the two freshies actually managed to make it this far." Simo nods. "First time Bragg tried he actually couldn't finish."

"Wow, I guess that' pretty impressive." You whistle.

You decide to hit up the rest of your squad. However, at this point, it might be a bit too late. Runaround just keeps making car noises like a little kid pretending to be a race car driver, while Edwin just seems really, REALLY somber.

"Hey, Edwin, are you feeling all right, man?"

"Itsssss nothinnggg." Edwin mutters.

"Are you sure, it definitely looks like something."

"It's just... what happened, man? Belka.... used to be on top of the world! And then.... it all came... crashing down..."

You don't even know what the hell he's talking about, but at this point it seems Edwin's fallen asleep or passed out. Either way it didn't look like you were getting any more out of him.

Bragg on the other hand is still going strong, downing another pint of beer.

"Hey Mooooooorrrrgaaaaaan~" You coo, stumbling your way over to her.

"L-Lucas? What are you-"

And then you just lean forward, grab Morgan's head, and give a big, sloppy kiss on the mouth. However, Morgan struggles and pushes you off, sending you sprawling on a nearby table.

However, one look into Morgan's eyes and you immediately sober up, at least to realize that you've done something terribly, terribly wrong. Tears well up in Morgan's eyes and she turns and runs out of the tavern.

"W-wait... Morgan!" You croak, but before you can get any farther a powerful hand grabs you by the collar and pulls you back.

"Bragg, party's over! Drop the drink and go get Morgan back here!"

The carefree joy melts off Bragg's face. He nods and rushes out the door after Morgan.

Again people, drunk messes with thinking and inhibitions. Don't go thinking Lucas is a shitty knight just because he couldn't handle alcohol the first time he tried it.
>>
>>27081136

I cant see how taking a drink with future comrades was a part of bad decision making.

Simo glares at you for what seems like a very long time, and you glare right back at him. You failed your knightly duties tonight, but never again.

"Fine. Go." Simo sighs and lets go of you. "Don't screw it up this time or I will personally END you, private. Is that clear?"

"Crystal." You nod and bolt out of the door.

You meet Bragg outside, who is actually just returning to the tavern. The downcast look on his face is all you need to see.

"That kid's damn fast." He sighs. "Lost track him and I've go no idea where he could've gone off to."

Actually, you have an idea. Without a word, you run off into the night.

You find Morgan sitting underneath the statue of Edelweiss at the museum. It was pretty obvious she'd be here since it was the only landmark she knew about. Not wanting to startle her, you approach slowly and carefully.

"Go away." Morgan says coldly when she sees you approach. "You're the same as all the rest of them."

>What say?
>>
>>27081201

''I don't know what to say,Morgan...I can't handle my liquor apparently...Didn't mean to hurt you, I-I just wasn't myself, clear in the head you know?''

Or some such.
>>
>>27081201
Morgan, there is no way for me to excuse myself for doing something like that. From now on, I swear on not my knight's honor, but my personal honor, that I will never do something like that again. I swear to be "Your" Knight from now on. If there is anything for me to possible do to make up for what happened. I am at your command.
>>
>>27081201

"there is nothing I can say that that can even remotely express how sorry I am, but I really am sorry. What I did should not have happened but it did and on my word as a knight, as a friend, I will make it up to you, if you'll let me." - kneel.

I'm drunk, and I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about, but I definitely know I'm not in the right frame of mind and that I really hurt you in some way. Right now I feel really bad about how much I hurt you, and sober me in the morning is going to feel even worse, and not just hangover. I need to apologize and make it up to you right now, and I will fully make it up to you in the future as well.
>>
>>27081234 Use this one:

>Morgan, there is no way for me to excuse myself for doing something like that. From now on, I swear on not my knight's honor, but my personal honor, that I will never do something like that again. If there is anything for me to possible do to make up for what happened. I am at your command.
>>
>>27081201

"It was my fault. Yes. I didn't know I would be so weak against alcohol. I shouldn't have taken that drink and what I did... was inexcusable.

I think you probably don't want to see me now, or probably ever again but I at least want to promise this to you. A Knight does not break his word. Even if you don't want to see me any more, your secret is safe with me and I will sooner die than let it be known."

>>27081201
I wonder what she means by 'You're the same as all the rest of them?'

She was so pretty all her fellow students kept on hitting on her? Pervs would hit on her all the time and tried to do something unwanted? Or she hates the idea of being coddled and handled like a damsel in distress?
>>
>>27081423
Agree.

>>27081459

"Morgan, there is no way for me to excuse myself for doing something like that." You say, taking a few steps closer to her. "From now on, I swear on not my knight's honor, but my personal honor, that I will never do something like that again. If there is anything for me to possible do to make up for what happened. I am at your command."

Morgan just looks at you for a long, while.

"...anything?"

"Anything." You nod.

Morgan's lips slowly form a smile.

-------------------------------

"See, I told you he'd look really cute as an Osean maid!" Charlotte grins as he pushes you in front of the mirror. Oh god this was more horrible than you ever imagined.

"Hmmm, it does have a certain appeal to it." Falynn nods.

It probably wouldn't have been as bad if they the Twins were stroking your hair at the same time. This was damn embarrassing.

"Best. Day. Ever." Sparky grins. "And I didn't even blow anything up!"

"Oooooh, I wish Charlotte and Falynn would stroke MY hair like that.." Mary-Kate sighs.

Meanwhile, Lucina, now changed out of her dress into her normal casual uniform, watches the events from afar, a bit of a smile on her face.

Yep. Karma was beeswax.

"Pleeaaaaaase don't tell anybody else about his." You whimper.

"Don't worry!" Morgan giggles. "It'll be our little secret~!"
