I made the same point up-thread, with regards to momentum. We've always been a bit sparse on inter-post discussion, but I'm starting to grow disillusioned with the quest, as a whole.

The last what, ten? Fifteen? Twenty? threads, we haven't actually done any Panzering. The last five? We spent an entire thread or two finding one of our generic crewmembers and fucking with his date. We spent a thread in our kitchen/livingroom/bathroom.

Even if Blackjack plans on spending a good 15+ threads on Tank Fighting, this is...Fuck. Lost my train of thought. Something something tanks in the background, waifushit, I dunno. Fucking chechens and their thought-terrorism.

Basically, too much Girls, not enough Panzer.

To re-rail my train of thought, going by archive count, we're at thread 56. And going by series-timeline, we're between episode 4 and 5, out of 12 episodes. Keep that pace up, and we're looking at...mmm... I wanna say 120 threads sounds about right, so 10 threads per episode. We're not doing that at ALL.

Because the anime had a good formula - Equal parts Girl and Panzer. At the above 10/Episode, five threads waifushit, five threads /k/shit and WoT General.

The basic problems that I see with GuPQ right now is:
Too Much Girls, Not Enough Panzer
AND
Glacial pacing, both in time per update and in content per thread.

"So, what do you think of her?" You say as the Volleyball team looks on. They're in awe of the shiny new tank- it's even been painted- dark tan with gray splotches and white rings and Duck Team's new Emblem- Daffy Duck with his fists up in a fighting stance. "Figured you guys would be all over it, helping them finish it up for practice..."

"Wet paint." Noriko says quietly, a bit in awe- the tank is a hell of a lot bigger than the I-Go. "Nakajima doesn't want us smudging it." Its actually a little bit mesmerizing at this point, watching the mechanics slowly finish the team.

"I have to commend your team's mechanics, Commander." A familiar voice says from behind you and you almost jump. "They work very quickly!"

You quickly regain your composure. "Darjeeling." You say, being as prim and proper as you can as you turn to face your benefactor. "Come to help us with training again?"

"In a way- though first I was hoping you could do me a favor..." She says with a delicate little smile before taking a sip of her tea.

Well, surprisingly it's rarely WoT that actually distracts me from writing. I'm pretty good about only doing 2-3 battles between posts. (If you'd seen some of the pubbies I've had to play with, you'd understand why.)

Biggest reason is that I tend to be a slow writer- I'm a perfectionist with dialogue, and if there's some fact that I want to bring up, I'll usually take a few minutes to attempt to double-check it.

Other times I just keep refreshing and seeing votes- I usually try to start writing when the votes stop coming in. (To a reasonable extent.)
