On last time during Mutant Hivemind Civ. We made discoveries found ourselves with a new inventive Hero and got our asses handed to when an attack force was dispatched to get rid of a new strange bandit presence. Lucky for us casualties were low.

http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27108806/

Alert new bandit warlord detected in the city
Alert the Trader Caravan has returned! With slaves, reactor fuel, and even the research notes but no industrial equipment. Who has also as promised has daughter along as he previously claimed. Interesting fellow that one.

Available wares they have brought

weapons(exhausted)
"real popular real quick around here for some reason. Gotta make sure to bring some surplus around next time."

Armor(semi exhausted)
"Still popular but at least I got a some left still."
Marauder War Plate"Good stuff great if your human and want to go into the wastes or similar hostile environment."
bandit mail "Typical standard but good unless you got access to techies which is even better."
Outcast "tribal shit great if you need survival based but can't spend a complete fortune."

Vehicles
"Damn things ain't selling around here very well thanks to fuel shortages well unless their the techie variety in which case those babies be selling like restored Isleki freshly re-virginated whores!"
Doom Buggy "Great multi terrain vehicle with surprising amount of firepower, speed and even protection a popular choice."
Tanks tracked "Sturdy well protected but complete fuel fiends."

Tech ask
"Got some goodies from Corp and even Government remnants unfortunately no paramilitary shit bastards hang on to that stuff like their life depends on it if they still got the toys to make proper use of them anyway."

Ah, here it is.
Okay, so let's think in the immediate timeframe and pressing matters.
A.) Should we be expecting a counter attack from the bandits?
B.) Can we ask around others for info on the bandits

Also what are some idea's for taking down the fort?
1.) Pionic research, as I see you guys are attempting.
2.) Suggestion of undermining the base. Is it feasible to use the Digga to burrow under the base, possibly laying explosives, and collapsing the building?
3.) Should we try attrition/harrasment siege? Continuous bombardment of their base from a safe distance so they cannot lower their shields. Possibly forcing them to run out of supplies.
>>
>>27149396
we are getting the slaves we need the manpower
>>
Rolled 67

>>27149871
deffinatly the scouts first so we know what is going on at all times.

also i suggest that we dig out those 20+ resources from that fiasco cavein thing
>>
Rolled 81

>>27149613
Heh schematics are not for sale. Luckily you can reverse engineer things usually unless their made by a corp or military in origin. Or any other group for that matter that would like a monopoly on their tech for whatever reason.

A large fuel tank will net you 5 doom buggies.

"An SST huh ah bandit eh can do better paramilitary real good to some groups but seems modified."

"YOU SAYING MY BANDIT MODELS CAN'T BE COMPARED TO ANCIENT MILSPEC MAGGOT."

Thus Markus reappears in time for bartering hopefully he wont kill someone or go on another rampage because they said his stuff didn't work properly.

As for what they'll offer....5 miniaturized reactors for 1 or 25 doom buggies. They'll even take one for all their slaves or for the reactor fuel and even RESEARCH they acquired since the last time we asked. They'll even offer 250 fifty suits of armor for one. 20 tracked tanks for one. They'll even offer a load of industrial equipment next time around or two digga drillas.

>>27149677
Marcus here might be able to but bandits are notorious for being dicks so its likely the trapped or rigged them up somehow. Can try though might take a few buggies though and maybe a arm or two possibly literally. Conversion can do probably about oh 2 for 1 I think. Gonna need a look under the hood for the exact specifics for it first though.

>>27149687
Eh I heard of psionics, magic even not something I know much about other then to shoot the glowing guy/making weird gestures first. As for da tech...that shit is really advanced precious few groups have access to that level and their all real powerful.

>>27149709
Don't know much other then he is extorting the bandit gangs there somehow. That and erh her apparently personal forces are quite equipped. Heh female bandit unusual much less a Warlord I would watch yourselves.

>>27149749
Their meant for the paramilitary. With research however we can convert the others to use them. Their especially good for energy hog weapons.
>>
Rolled 72

>>27149926
then we have to keep an adequate force to deal withv them, with the bandit situitation and the deep swamp incursion sometime in the future i just think its a little earlly for slave workforce. not like we need the resources, and you never let slaves build your weapons thats just stupid
>>
>>27149926
It's generally been agreed that conversion to mutation and assimiliation into the memor is more valuable than slavery.
So long as there's consent into opening one's mind, joining the hivemind ensures absolute .
loyalty.

That's not to say we can't keep slaves outside of the hivemind, but it should be easier to convince them to join mutation if we offer freedom from slavery, and be intensely more difficult if we keep them in harsh bondage.
>>
Rolled 46

A reminder of OP established rules on the memor.

1. Conversion of human to mutant is possible and relatively not time consuming. Offspring of these normal converted mutants concieve and grow up in the normal Memor manner, and do not degenerate the Memor genepool.
2. Conversion of human and/or memor to artificial breeder type mutant is feasibly, but their offspring will be detrimental to the genepool. Can be useful for generating soldiers in quick sucession, but these should not be allowed to breed or risk degredation of future generations.
3. Known experiments taken under the base of unkown goal and outcome. Unexplored facility probably dangerous, but with potential rewards.
4. Hivemind membership is by consent and mutation. But once joined of volition, loyalty is, in practice, assured. The hivemind does not allow for slavery of it's members within the hivemind, nor crimes, and major actions within the hivemind are monitored and by consent of the hivemind masses.
>>
Rolled 80

>>27150009
assuming that you can get consent from a slave.

then i vote that we trade 1 bloody bandit for the reactor fuel and the research (theyre together right? 1SST for both?)

20large fuel tanks for 100 doom buggies. (note: we may be able to get more because we have improved the quality of our fuel, be sure to mention that to them) itll put us low for maybe a turn but we can mass produce that shit easily

and 1 paramilitary for 5 mini reactors
>>
>>27150163
>assuming that you can get consent from a slave.
The offering of freedom usually works. And the benefits of citizenship vs slavery.

Then again, we're the boogeymen of this world so who knows. We'll cross that bridge later.

Yes its for both.

>>27149871
A. unknown more info required
B Depends who can we ask?

1 psionic research will only go so far. The shields are a tech/psionic hybrid.

2 Not possible bunker is reinforced to an extremely high regard Digga would prove ineffective if not outright destroyed due to countermeasures.

3 Unknown bunkers are notorious for being self sufficient especially the high grade ones.

>>

>>
Rolled 83

>>27150163
I'm seconding this, were gonna need them doom buggies, plus they're much more suited to our swamp than the technicals. the research notes, reactor fuel, and mini reactors are nessecary IMO
>>
>>27150346
>Parlay with Bandits
I'm approving of any deal that benefits us, but I think we've thrown out any idea's of diplomacy or generally even civil communication with bandits after the last 2 purges.

We let a lot of glow in the dark bandits run off to tell the tale of the SST horror. And we used it against them to boot. But if by an insane miracle their willing to look at us without pulling their trigger fingers, and we have something to gain, why not.
>>
Rolled 7

>>27150243
Due to extreme shortages

5 suits to 1 small container.
25 suits to 1 medium container.
125 suits to 1 large container.
250 suits for 1 very large container.

Conversions is not yet possible. At the moment the Plasma Babies rely on a jury rigged plasma reactor that would make bandits go 'dude that shit crazy'.

Thrower and spewer tech would require reverse engineering with specialized facilities. At the moment Markus has secured a number of elemental weaponry and cannot make more. He has however figured out how to reproduce LV 1 and 2 elemental ammunition.

Warning fuel is now very low thanks to trading(Every one turn increases by 1).

We have lost 1 bloody bandit for reactor fuel and research(limited usage at the moment its REALLY high-grade/complicated)

100 doom buggies acquired

1 paramilitary SST lost.

Acquired 5 mini reactors.

Now to use them duel doubles and 1 I rolled...

Markus was busy showing off his new arms. Luckily he has made many new friends. Unluckily Torg was a being a pain in the ass and blew up a number of things as usual(really need to research explosive weaponry and improve the weapons so StrongArms can use them without breakage). Not to mention the glowing bandit being obsessed with his whole GUNZ GUNZ NEVER ENOUGH GUNZ and screaming strange yet quite inventive obscenities. The only positive thing that came out of it was some secured new deals...and some new bandits who Glowy somehow converted goddamn when the fuck did that happen? dice+1d100 in the email field, replace numbers as nessecary

1 is amount of rolls 100 of the roll range
>>
>>27151240
Earlier we used 20 sided dice, but 100 sided dice was more effective (and rewarding, but also risky).

To roll dice put (without quotation mark) "dice+[number of dice rolls]d[number of sides to a dice].

dice+1d100 will roll a hundred sided dice once.

Outer Perimeter
Jack here on the Patrol Perimeter is actually pretty big.
Fence after Fence wall after wall. All criss crossed with wires and charged with some sort of energy. Also mines and strange rods everywhere. Even...distortion fields wtf?
We have also felt some quaking and strange shattering/breaking noises no idea what that is.
3 capture fences
2 outer walls
Purgative mono-wire
Plasma veins.
Distortion field
mined ground
polar rods of GAWD

Inner Perimeter
Jane here
Noticed some building and structures arose out of nowhere. Don't know what their purpose is it seemed like they were concealed by some major plating and stored underground. Not to mention noticed a bunch of new security systems online. Turrets, detectors, fuck we even got this strange mist going on and fucking laser beams. Also noticed some Batteries of some kind and the sky seemed to be closed off by some sort to of screen.

Laser Scanners

Outer Defense
Mark here we were sitting on our ass and noticed some quacking so quick question? WHERE the FUCK did all these new defensive installations come from. I am talking full on turrets defensive towers, MORE sensor towers, bunkers shit is insane.

Fortified bunker Hazard Patterned
Defensive towers
Anti Air and Ground Batteries
Sensor towers
Turrets Quarantined Pattern

Inner Defense
Jenkins here noticed a bunch of strange lasers show up and new turrets popping fucking EVERYWHERE. I don't think there is even a single spec of ground here that is drenched in sensors or targeting systems. Also why the did I hear rumbling everywhere?

Three zones

bionics lab- our turned sensors indicate a strange shuffling monstrosity moving back and forth between subjects splayed around everywhere. Digging into them, taking them apart, ect.. Minions meanwhile are stumbling around confused. It is becoming quickly apparent that the infestion has worked it way down already and it seems to have a negative effect on the inhabitants.

What is concerning is that the minions appear to be some form of bioborg and cyborg hybrid. Which is strange we never figured out how to combine the two. As is the experiments for bionics down here were to increase the efficiency level between biology and bionic connections. Apparently that monstrosity succeeded with flying colors where everyone else had failed miserably considering he figured out bio/cyborgs.

Second area in the Beds are offline and seem to be broken. Looks like a lot of the pools were looted for raw materials for the bionics. Its gonna be a nightmare to fix this. Pity to this was some groundbreaking technology in those beds. Luckily though its completely deserted. Well besides conflicts between citizens of area 1 and 3 anyway. Appeared to be a popular battleground between between the two. The only other one is the hallways our forces are located in.

Third area...something is GROWING down there. The cloning labs had been completely overtaken and there are all many of strange creatures...or at least there was anyway for some reason they seem to be hibernating. The walls are literally alive and pulsing. But sense the upgrades it seems they have all gone asleep? Even the living growths everywhere are no longer active anymore. According to videos they constantly attempted to grow outward but were systematically purged by the biocyborgs. In return it sent out assaults of monsters that it 'grew'. The battle between the two has been going for who knows how long.

purgative mono-wires- deemed hostile enjoying becoming finely sliced and diced Swiss Cheese
plasma veins-powers everything and but also weaponized lets just say they make land mines look like their for chumps only.
distortion field- fucks over sensors and makes it harder to detect our forces
polar rods of GAWD- Rods of God beacons, also rail guns.

Sync Myst-helps keep everything in sync and conceals friendlies while making hostiles even more obvious
Stealth Screen- improved measure to prevent detection from mostly above.

turrets Quarantined Pattern-especially designed to keep things contained.
Fortified bunker Hazard Patterned-for ultimate hazard dealing protection

Kill Zone Patterned Ultimate-everywhere you go expect getting attacked from six different directions
Reinforcement Bunker Killer-better protection against specialized penetration rounds
Hunter Turret network-mobile turrets on a speedway nuff said.
Sensor Sweep-Sensors sensors EVERYWHERE
Ambush Predation Measures- all manner of booby traps, turrets and defensive measures laced together in such a way that their always ambushing and their the predators while your the prey.

so first we make contact with the "monstrocity" on peaceful terms. then we make contact with the "citizens" and find out what they're all about.

im assuming it has been the "monstrocity" and his minions versus the citizens?

well after making contact, and gauging force strength we roll every bot that we have 1000 of (keeping a few back for marcus to study) and plop them right in the middle and say "if you fight, you fight us" and go from there to force a peace. im assuming that the citizens are mutants to right?

Okay.

First and formost. Full battle stations, everyone gear up on high alert in prep for the events to come. We're going to be a very isolationist nation for a few weeks as we discover the depths of within. We should have patrols monitor our borders, as well as the added defenses, while we're busy with literal internal affairs.

Bionic lab has operation tables splayed throughout with bits and pieces everywhere. The creature uses tools or forms its own with itself to bring pieces together to create things. At first I though it hilariously crude so limited yet manage to get so far. When it doesn't have enough biomass it simply rips it from itself. Recycled bionics and metal is recycled to form new bionics as necessary. At first the creatures were aware and horrorfied screamed out in agony/begged for mercy, ruthlessly experimented on, thrown against the monster ect. Eventually it seems they went brain dead. Not that it cared by that point it had the process perfected and merely configured new ones. After battles its worth noting that it goes out and recollects to its fallen for reproccessing. The other thing meanwhile sends out tendrils to re-consume their fallen. Its a race between the two really.

The cloning facility meanwhile just births new creatures from sacs(former cloning cells) and sends them out.

In the very beginning research was good but a..sample got loose. It was just a small sliver and but worked its way into other samples consuming them, growing and finally expanding to the cloning facility for even more delicious yet helpless bio mass. Eventually people realized but not before it had already penetrated the clones. Quickly forces were sent out but they encountered horrific monstrosities stopping them even slaughtering. Defensive measures refused to activate as they registered as samples overrides had to be given but by then it was already too late. It soon pushed out slaughtering all those who stood in the way. In panic several people almost fell into the nanite beds. Only one actually did...they later arose as what we saw in the bionics chamber. It fought against the things to the an emergency console. By then they were already well lose throughout the facility. It fought through the hardest hit areas. At that console it forced the emergency lock-down.
>>
Rolled 29

>>27153844
From there it gathered the dying/dead and brought them to the bionics lab cleared it out and began experimenting and sending out forces. The cloning thing meanwhile grew and expanded but before it could penetrate the door encountered the freshly built cyborgs. Thus the conflict began and reigned.
>>
Rolled 73

>>27153844
>>27153873
Lemme get this straight.
We have two monsters, with their spawn.
One is a frankenstein thing that hacks up biomatter and meshes it with bionics to create cyborg things.

The other is a giant flesh beast that makes other flesh beasts yes?
Are they intelligible?
Are there any other people down there or it's just those two?
>>
Rolled 19

>>27153844
The cloning lab has growths over the lights. The cloning cells completely overgrown this sacs containing something. The consoles and everything completely penetrated by growing and writhing things. In the former command center is a bulging sack of flesh which pulses regularly. Down below in the middle of everything is a pool where whatever can be salavaged is thrown and consumed.

The lab once clean and spotless is rusted and gore strewn. Broken tools throughout often recycled once they became completely unusable for fresh bionics. Throughout scattered everywhere are bodies and parts waiting to be set upon the operating tables and used.
>>

>>

>>
Rolled 26

>>27154019
Fruther question.
As stands, if we continue overrides, does the A.I. have the capability to destroy or purge the lower facilities? Would the 5400 robots stand a chance?

How about other potential leverages/last resort purging possibilities? Such as flooding the place with fuel and aligthing it.

We have controls of the doors yes? Can we reseal and unseal the base on a whim? How about locknig down the base, segregating the 2 factions, base into manageable sections that can be conquered stage by stage and room by room.

Further question, this flesh beast looks incredibly contagious. If a sample of it were to escape, could it proliferate uncontrollably? Infect mutant and human alike? It seems even the "smallest sliver" can grow into the flesh beasts.

Would these countermeasures prevent us from sterilizing any traces of the flesh beasts if it comes to it?
>>
Rolled 48

>>27154437
that only really happened because of the cloning tubes. it allowed it to continualy create mass for itself. but nevertheless once we help out our monster friend we should be ready to completely purge thing if needed. also ask him for everything he knows about it.

Tell them (telepathically or radio) that their protracted war is at a close. We are coming in there. We will lock down the facility room by room, and will purge all hostiles and have an open arm towards all who accept us in peace.

We are the Memor. People of the mind. Join us, and you become us. Oppose us, and you are no more.

Next, how do we control these people? Should we prepare above ground containments or is underground good enough? How can we reconcile these people who have been at war for who knows how long?

Ah, the hivemind. Surely, when they are able to communicate not face to face, but mind to mind after prolonged discussion they should be able to resolve their differences in literally a purely logical manner.

Depends tech wise a lot of crap is jury rigged if not outright wrecked. Cloning facility for example has no hope. While the nanite beds are gonna be a nightmare to fix. Only thing in working order is the bionics lab thanks to Science Monster, Scientific Monstrosity, Richard ect.

The Broodmother didn't even know what breeding was until she joined the Overmind. After words she teased poor Richard about it. As of yet it is unknown. According to [REDACTED]

Ah still having those problems EDE?

...yes can you remove them?

Nope don't specialize in A.I. but I can explain in your stead.

But thats what I am supposed to do...

Too bad. Anyway brood mothers actually produce by splicing/consuming dna and spawning them then said spawns may reproduce. Excellent if you need new strains. As for breeding per say they can't but instead produce fluids which increase vitality even in mutants of all things. Not mention reproducing in a broodmothers chamber works wonders(due to reasons we were still trying to figure out). As well as giving birth in a spawning pool a brood mother can produce. A broodmother is amazing when it comes to her brood. Now the Hivemind is her brood what changes we can expect is as of yet unknown.

EDE here
Research required for GlowyJoe as for his ilk gonna need to convince them to mutate. Or have them be made up of entirely psionic members willing to join.

Unknown last detected Markus going down there to see what he can do repair wise. His first stop being the Bionics center.

Find the biggest room in the lair we can find, and dig a pool in it. Get all the beds, pillows, curtains, sheets we can and lavish the fuck out of it. We're gonna make the swankiest broodnest/loveroom/birthing chamber ever created.

Fleshbeasts

250 Spikers- ranged combatants or so they appear don't get close unless you wanna get skewered.

250 Impalers- close range basically Spikers bigger cousin but meaner. specialized for cqc.

150 Vomits-range and harassment acid is amazingly potent and accurate. Free tip there is more then one Vomit strain at the moment we got acids, electricity and even flame.

100 Screams-detectors/ attacks with sonic. Very vast and distorting to fight.

50 Brood Guard- Broodmothers personal guard they never leave her side. Woe to the foe who has face of these monstrosities.

50 broodlings- In charge of keeping everything around the Broodmother swanky basically workers/servants. Still wouldn't attack them though they have the bad habit of exploding or burrowing inside you then out again. At the moment there is few of them but mostly because she couldn't expand her territory so uses were limited. Combat wise though imagine living mines Alien burst style.

-the armor they got is very good other then that though really groundbreaking wise. Weapon wise its clear they were built to counter biological foes(see runaway experiments) so they'll be shit against anything else unless we figure out how to re-spec them. On the plus side though zombies wont ever be a problem again(unless their a mutant strain). Monsters may still cause us problems though.

3 turns for cleanup. Bringing back actual function is unknown(don't even know if its possible).

It still has the added healing effect in her "turf" yes? Perhaps the brood nest can double as a hospital for the most severely wounded.

Two mutations identified.
1 cloned occupation- broodmother corrupted Cloning facility in a way that increased production in all ways. For her at least it ruined the cloning facility in the process.

2 Fleshworks

Unlike other broodmothers which already had a brood she was orphaned and forced to produce her own through artificial means for protection. Can rapidly transform resources into fresh offspring.

No, fuck you, you white knighting assholes. It was agreed that this was the best way to quickly bolster our numbers. And if you were afraid of loyalty, WE COULD HAVE FORCED THEM INT O THE HIVEMIND
AND WE NEED MORE HUMAN SAMPLES TO CONTINUE FERTILITY RESEARCH.

OP, you must have noticed this before but please, don't let newcomers, who haven't read the previous threads totally shit over the long-term plans made in previous thread (unless they suggest some much better or something). This really hampers the enjoyment of the quest.

I don't know how the rest of the thread went but can you ret-con and have us buy the slaves WE SPECIFICALLY ORDERED AND PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR TO HAVE THEM BE THE BEST AND DELIVERED TO US AS FAST AS POSSIBLE?
>>
Rolled 31

>>27157832
I wasn't there for that.
I'm honestly as surprised as you are, we specifically did order more bodies but what happened to them?

In any event, it's inconsequential. Yeah we lost some fuel in the end, but hey relations are still good and we have our broodmother to boot.
>>
Rolled 63

>>27157832
>WE COULD HAVE FORCED THEM INT O THE HIVEMIND
You can't "force" people into the hivemind.
You must mutate them first then convince them to open themselves up, but after that they're loyal as any other member.

That said again, we might not need them that badly anymore now that the broodmother can bolster our population at a far greater pace.
>>
Rolled 68

>>27157832
Also for future reference we plan to buy slaves every time there's an opportuny arises, but we won't be spending extravagant bribes anymore since it's not cost effective and we really don't plan to "keep" slaves in the traditional sense.

The focus will be assimilation. Mutating them first, and then have them work while surrounding them with sights of benefits of citizenship. And in time, they will open themselves to the mind. Once they do they become full fledged members and loyalty is absolute. Those who don't will just keep working and seeing how much they don't benefit by not joining.
>>
>>27157832
Finished the thread. Went better than expected but that doesn't negate any of my points. We just got lucky crits and OP threw us a bone... more of a bonepile, actually.
To be honest, I think we just got way too much.

>>27157890
Well, you can "force" the slaves. A bit unethical, but we could just threaten to kill them or torture if they refuse to accept mutations and open up to the glorious hivemind.
Might be a temporarily hit on the morale though since their emotions would be added to the hive.

>That said again, we might not need them that badly anymore now that the broodmother can bolster our population at a far greater pace.
True. But we would have gained extra action upgrade earlier. We still have really low human population and are at the mercy of the AI right now. Lets hope it never rebels.

>>27157995
>we really don't plan to "keep" slaves in the traditional sense.
Yeah I know. We never planned to treat them like normally slaves are treated. Sure, they might have been happy to be used as baby factories but we would have ensure that they have the same quality of life and best medical treatment we can give.

I still hope we can retro-actively get those slaves. Not much time passed since the trader event and considering how much we worked for them the previous thread, I think we deserve it.
Also, checking out that really, really hard to acquire tech that the trader got samples on and whatever the deal was with his daughter (Here's hoping for a Merchant type hero)

We shouldn't trade SSTs though. Maybe one for the trader so that they can defend themselves but IIRC one SST = 100 STs, right? Trade STs instead
And what was the point of buying 100 doom buggies? No really? Did we need them? I guess we can break them down into 10-20 resources. Or scrap all the technicals for 30 resources (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT WASTE RESOURCES UPGRADING THEM!)

i support getting slaves now, but im the one who turned them down in the beginning. at the time we high tech had bandits to deal with, an upcoming deep swamp run, and we were sitting on a time bomb. i think it was nessecary to add another risk to that. it deffinatly wasnt for white knighting, i have been preaching since thread 1 that we go mutant all the way and slaughter all who oppose us. it is impossible to force them into the hivemind. we ordered them before because we thought we could turn them into breeder units, it was then confirmed that that was a terrible idea that would fuck over our genes big time so they weren't nessecary at the time. it just would have added another problem to deal with. and your in idiot, human samples for feritility research? it was already confirmed last thread that that was a terrible idea and would never go anywhere, read the threads first before complaining about others not doing so. and no we didnt pay for the slaves, we gave him a gift of goodwill and we got a bigass reactor for it.

>>
Rolled 31

>>27158516
they werent planned to survive, plus scouting for us is much easier cause they dont have to head back to report. it was implied that the pilot could survive the outside contitions with little or no more mutations. but in fighting no a chance, they would never stay in a fight, just maybe shoot the leg of one of anything that is fast, and run, or since it is probably turret based you can shoot their lags while you run. and it said they pack a small punch, so its a totally viable strategy
>>
>>27158562
I see. Perhaps we can automate the process and prevent unnecessary loss of life. Suicide scouting missions by live pilots are a bad idea.

Speaking of which that opens up the possibility of a tactic. Fast paced explosive laying. Think, an advance vangaurd of automated buggies speeding through the jungle laying bombs, which detonate and open up a clear path for an advance army to follow. Or just plain suicide cars.

Let's just hope these buggies are expendable and cost effective.

>>27158414
> we ordered them before because we thought we could turn them into breeder units
Yeah, no, we didn't. Stop bullshitting. We knew exactly what we were ordering them for. Breeder mutations weren't even considered when we wanted slaves. We just wanted a way to bolster our populations and this was one of the most fastest and simple ways to do it.

> and your in idiot, human samples for feritility research? it was already confirmed last thread that that was a terrible idea and would never go anywhere, read the threads first before complaining about others not doing so
You're the fucking idiot. I actually was participating when the research happened. It stopped because no one was willing to volunteer for experimentation. We needed more mutant/human samples to continue it.

>and no we didnt pay for the slaves
Yes we did you fucking idiot. We paid 2-3 STs for a premium listing, meaning that he would come to us first so that we could buy the best slaves. Those places are incredibly irradiated due to the nukes. It would be better if we integrate the radiation resistance mutation we discovered. Or finding a way to join the glow bandits into the hive.
Or we could research some chemicals to clear up the radiation (I think we did something like that in Star Guard and Fabrique Generale)

Sending slaves would be just wasteful. They would die in matter of hours.

yes, it may just take a generation or two. we should probably force some anti-rad mutations on them so that they dont all die right away. longer lifespans, better lifespans, better work, the works

> It would be better if we integrate the radiation resistance mutation we discovered
Of course.

>Sending slaves would be just wasteful. They would die in matter of hours.
And that's not how you win hearts and minds and assimilate.

I suppose for the very adamant humans we should spare some hazmat suits. And then while their peers walzt in unharmed by the deadly radiation they'll start to wonder why their not like that too.

>>27158697
yeah, but you kow how stubborn the human race can be. and if we allow them anything but total dominance (which we dont want) there will without a doubt be an escape/coup attempt. be sure to keep them away from the computers.

perhaps a base outside of ours to keep them in?
>>
>>27158721
>yeah, but you kow how stubborn the human race can be.
Of course, conversely, by example of the holocaust, they can be as sheep to the slaughter (except we're not doing the slaughter part on them). We'll have to see how this goes.

In any case, of course slaves should have secured and decent living quarters and monitored (easy enough considering hivemind and A.I. camera's), but should be allowed to regularly view the wonderful houses and city that could be theirs if they join. An open hand all the time.

Yeah, something like even putting their name on a house that would be there's the moment they assimilate. Give them every reason to join.

Also on the topic of mining, we shouldn't be like the Skullfuckers and have purely slave run mines. This could lead to angry sentiment, which is bad in many regards.

Lead by example and have (the less scary) memor working alongside humans, to show just how much of a group effort and our devotion to greatness of Memor. We work just as they work, there is no room for lazyness and sloth in Memor, but the hivemind and mutation gives us strength. This could help to get them used to the sight of us, and lead to their acceptance of joining.
>>
>>27158638
>Well that's pretty much all Memor already though. We all wanna have kids all the damn time whenever we can. It's not only state sponsored, but literally embeded in the will of our people.

Yeah. But more fertile women (what we ordered) = faster population growth. It's basic math.

I know, we didn't say no to male slaves either but they weren't premium like fertile women (which we specifically ordered)

>>27158665
>Which is why we're gonna have some practicing to do. Learn the techniques of winning hearts and minds . Hopefully if we the sexy and charismatic Vizen one day that ought to help too.
We could also develop some phermones which could make them susceptible to suggestions. Broodmother could help with that, I think.

>>27158669
I've read the threads. I've been in the second one alone for the first half where we decimated the bandits and the zombies. I know the (stupid) reason why we're obsessed with the deep marsh. I'm pointing out how much of a retarded idea it is and has been for the past few threads when TIME AND FUCKING TIME AGAIN WE HAVE BEEN WARNED THAT WHAT WE HAD IN OUR TERRITORY (extreme bandits, extreme zombies, critical monsters) IS PEANUTS COMPARED TO WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE DEEP MARSH.
We cannot even penetrate that stupid bunker (for now). Whatever the facility in the deep marsh is holding the broodmother, it got to be tens of times more protected than this bunker.

>these words are literaly quoted directly from EDE
I KNOW. Again. It was not the main reason why we wanted the fucking slaves. It was just an option we discussed but we wanted the slaves nevertheless even if we don't turn them into breeders.

>>27158721
>pregnant women
>rebelling
Again this is what we ordered and what we wanted.
Bunch of women, pregnant and with kids are not going to rebel especially if we treat them right.
And their children will automatically be citizens because, lets be honest, how the hell will they resist the Hivemind?
>>
>>27158804
>Also on the topic of mining, we shouldn't be like the Skullfuckers and have purely slave run mines. This could lead to angry sentiment, which is bad in many regards.

Of course. We have bunch of robots. Researching a worker type robot would be easy.
Don't see any reason why humans/mutants should do the back-breaking, dangerous work when we could have robots do it. And the radiation problem wont be as bad.
>>
Rolled 87

>>27158806
>But more fertile women
Mutation reduces all humans to the same fertility rates of Memor, regardless of what they were before (unless they were infertile or neutered to start with [or maybe not, can mutations repair genitals and replace ovum? We'll have to ask op]).
Requesting fertile women is just redundant and slightly a waste of money.
In this case, quantity > quality since the fertile quality of converted humans to memor is the same.
>>
Rolled 30

>>27158806
pregnant women, he probably got us like 5-10 fertile women max and they would have been expensive as fuck

it was also pointed out that the thing below us is going to be just as much of a danger and its going to be right under us. with a little simple logic you figure out which one is more dangerous. the only reason we didnt get fuck this time is cause we got double criticals

>>27158825
we are also gonna need to make sure that these robots can move about in a swamp

Rolled 88

>>27158825
>Don't see any reason why humans/mutants should do the back-breaking, dangerous work when we could have robots do it.
It looks good for converting propaganda. Maybe just have them work the safe parts of the mines for show, while the robots do the backbreaking work.

Then again, OP says these robots were designed for security, so we'll have to see if they can be converted to miners. Or if they're more valuable as soldiers than miners.

Please gentlmen, there's no need to continue that type of argument. I'm sure both of you have participated in this thread long enough, and can see it isn't of benefit.

But they can pop up human babies which we can convert later.
Also, I think fertile women is just facy way of saying young women (16-20yo) and you know why they are expensive and it is not just for their baby-making abilities either.

>>27158847
>so we'll have to see if they can be converted to miners
NO
NO CONVERTING
EVER

It is waste of resources. I meant researching a new robot type and then building them. They shouldn't be bi-pedal humanoid either. I think there are much more efficient designs than that.

>>27158844
>we are also gonna need to make sure that these robots can move about in a swamp
I'm sure they could move where a human can move. Also, I thought we'd make a mine and just have them work there forever. They wont need to travel in swamp much. We'll transport them with crawlers when needed.

>But they can pop up human babies which we can convert later.
That could lead to complications thought. Remember, you have to actively engineer the mutation. Whereas natural born Memor, well, naturally get it!
Having a seperate (and growing) human population soley for the purpose of conversion may add on problems. They might not want to convert as they grow, where as our children naturally do, and this could lead to rebellion. The brood mother should solve our fertility issues anyway, to where we may as well have been human.
>>
Rolled 17

>>27158921
yeah i agree with this, no breeding among the slaves. just conversion or work

it also may help that the memor look almost human
>>
Rolled 76

>>27158904
>and you know why they are expensive and it is not just for their baby-making abilities either.
Oh another good idea.
Instead of threatening to kill or torture (which could only make them want to join even less), we threaten that after a while we'll sell them back to the slavers.
Now since we watch everything, rape and abuse by slaves won't be a thing at all, and so the prospect of going back to a life of rape and beatings vs becoming a mutant citizen and getting a home and a family should be very VERY convincing.
>>
Rolled 81

>>27158927
>it also may help that the memor look almost human
Well. . .some of them at least, and even then only to so much a degree.

The Vizen though are beautiful and charismatic, I sorely wish we could get them for such purposes as parlay and diplomacy.
>>
>>27158904
>Also, I think fertile women is just facy way of saying young women (16-20yo) and you know why they are expensive and it is not just for their baby-making abilities either.

You know. Now that I think about it we could just as well grab 'unfertile' women (30-40yo), use our bio-tech magic and make them as fertile as they used to be.

Also, perhaps fertility research could make them more susceptible to having doublets, triplets, etc

>>27158861
>We're going to buy slaves, we're going to win hearts and minds as best we can, and they're going to boost our population. That much is simple.
Yeah, I'm just angry that we let the trader go without getting what we ordered.
If OP allows for retcon also keep in mind the tech he brought (which was possible due to crit dice roll) and the thing about his daughter (can't ever tell if that was a joke or serious thing but if serious and almost sure we can get a hero unit)
On totally unrelated note. Our hero double fist has two arms because one in cybernetic. Now we have massive cybernetic capabilities we can upgrade ALL of strong fists to have two arms.

>>27158921
Well, the fact that they grow among us would help us a lot. They wont be influenced by the bias from outside world. We could have some minor propaganda going. Maybe even socially engineer a rite of passage of sorts, something they will be looking up to and be proud of. The passage is the mutation of course.

>>27158938
Honestly, I'm not sure why many thing that they will be so against joining the Hivemind. The Iron Fists joined and they are super badass warrior types. If they can joing willingly, ANYONE can.
>>
>>27158944
It was said that scattared remains of other tribes are left. We should round them up and have them join us.
We couldn't conduct a full-scale, long term mutation project to integrate all of the positive mutations and purge all the negative ones from all those tribes and make new, ubermensch mutants. Probably would take a few years but results would be amazing.
Add cybernetics in the mix and we would become unstoppable

Feasible and plausible, but if history always shows, a difference of classes always leads to strife.

See that idea was proposed a while ago. Should there be a standard of Memor, or should, as already is, mutagenic proliferation and diversity reign?
Think of the strong arms, certainly their not going for looks but they have no need of it. Bodies that fit specific purposes, soldiers, scientists, workers. Different bodies, but all serving the same mind in perfect harmony.
>>

Rolled 18

Also, mutation changes their very bodies. There are natural and evolutionary disgust towards what humans percieve as disgusting (i.e. mutants) and for them to accept such a change to their very bodies from human to mutant as a rite of passage is going to be very VERY challenging. There's almost definitely going to be resistance and reluctance to mutation among the children, and the parents of them. We're already going to have a difficult time converting adults as is.
>>
>>27158999
>Feasible and plausible, but if history always shows, a difference of classes always leads to strife.
It is usually when there is no way of advancing to upper class. It would be trivial to advance Memor society just open up to the hivemind.

It's going to be determined by the dice roll, isn't it?

>>27159017
I guess.
Still, purging the negative mutations has no drawbacks. Remove the hunchback, the withered arm and the Strongarm mutants will look like epitome of human physique, walking viking gods or, at worst, like Hulk.

Rolled 14

>>27159072

It's not just a difference of class, but also of race.
A human boy may look into a mirror and come to love his body, and not want to end up ugly. And his mother and father are likely to feel the same love for their human child.

Better to be born a Memor.
>>
>>27159078
>they will undoubtedly cause problems. then some of our new memor who grew up with the slaves would feel for them and it would just cause problems

In the end, they're still slaves. So we can just lock up and isolate whoever seems to be a problem. Or just sell them.

bvut the new memor wouldnt be, and that is what would cause the problems, you are creating you own slave sympathizers. i know the hivemind will help but they still have free will and independant action
>>
Rolled 61

>>27159097
Locking/segregating dissenters from a populace always leads to further dissent. It's the writing on the wall of any failing nation.

Selling people who were once slaves back to slavery for refusing is an ok tactic, but not newborn humans simply because they want to keep their human bodies (this will generate sympathy from both humans and possibly other memor).

>>
Rolled 72

. . .well now that I think about it, the hivemind's play in this will be interesting.

Sympathy toward humans will be readily and telepathical discussed and in theory should be resolved in moments, unlike verbal debates encumbered by language which is less efficient than the pure though it tries to represent.

In any event, it will be easier to not allow human slaves to breed among themselves. For they will love their human babies, and not want them converted.

Man the Memor are intersting in that regard.

Can you imagine, a polar issue like abortion, being debated by every single person in the nation simultaneously, where everyone instantly see's everyone else's point of view and resolves differences, not slow words that can be misinterpreted, but pure logic and rational thought, and an agreed consensus that fits everyone is achieved all in minutes.

>>27159162

OP says that it was Marcus wife may have gotten involved. She isn't part of the hivemind.

That just makes me want to know more about her.

Any other way, his actions would needed to be approved and justified by the memor as "all actions within the hivemind are monitored and by consent of the hivemind masses."
