Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubus Lord Quest!

Last time on Succubus Lord Quest, we began with a factual dream of what Brooklyn could’ve been if he didn’t accept the proposal from the Queen’s proposal, in which after that he went on over with Ada to the Laminian headquarters in the Sewer with Ada to talk with the Administrative head of the Laminian’s within Old TO, Arum. After finding out some information and that Arum did indeed also like PnPRPG’s, we went to cheer up Ada who was drinking herself into a stupor, before chasing down a Laminian thief who tries to steal our gold, only to be lured into a trap in where an Ashuran girl thought we stole it. Instead of breaking Brooklyn’s spine, she instead gave a lecture on social contract theory. Nalika, claiming to be a scholar and not a fighter, agreed to become a student of Brooklyn.

We now begin the morning after which these events transpired!

Also the second post was an ugly post with lots of eyesore text, which is now all compiled here!

“And... I think that’d be everything.” you say putting the last book in Nalika’s collection aside.

“I’m actually not kind of depressed that all these books are worthless...” Nalika says with a small sigh as she looks over the pile of books you judged had no merit.

“LaMoix was a quawk, so ignore everything he said about metaphysics and math. Dussel has some good information on mathimatics, and you can’t go wrong with Bingy when it comes to discussing the history of the world in not only an informative, but entertaining fashion.” you tell Nalika.

“LaMoix did have some valid points though.” Wilhelmina says sipping her tea.

“Yes, but you throw shit at a wall then often enough it sticks. He honestly said nothing that wasn’t covered better by others.” you reply to Wilhelmina.

“So are these books pretty much firewood?” Wilhelmina asks.

“...Well the best use I can think of is using it as an example of tearing apart the arguments. I often find that entertaining to do with poorly written books.” you tell Wilhelmina.

“Or get enough of them to make a Fort.” Wilhelmina replies.

“You’d need a lot of crappy books for that.” you reply.

“The Okaran Library has those in spades. The first Tuesday of every month there is a competition for making the best book fort.” Wilhelmina says taking a drink of her tea.

Both you and Nalika just stare at her.

“I’m not kidding.” Wilhelmina replies.

“Good morning Brooklyn!” Mina says throwing open the door on your royal carriage.

“You’re letting the heat out.” Wilhelmina bluntly states.
>>
[2/2]

“And a good morning to you too Wilhelmina!” Mina says entering the coach car. “Good news is that we’re all finally unloaded! Which means as soon as we get paid for our goods we can head out and find a place for ourse- Wait a second! An Ashuran!?”

Nalika looks up to Mina as she notices. “...Yes I am an Ashuran. My n-”

“My name is Mina Kazanari! I heard many good things about the fighting prowess of the Ashurans, and I’d be honored if you’d have a practice spar with me!” Mina immediately blurts out.

Nalika just gives a large sigh in response as she just rubs her forehead. “Why can’t people just find out other things about us...”
>>
Woohoo, first time I've gotten here for the beginning of a thread in about twenty threads~
>>
>>27164648
"Mina is Belkarian. She gets tunnel vision. Please don't hold it against her."
>>
>>27164648
Mina, Don't challenge random guests to spars before a nice conversation over tea. You might discover they don't like sparring.
>>
>>27164648
"Sit, Mina, drinks and introductions first, and the beatings can come later."
>>
“Mina? What did I tell you about guests?” you ask her.

“...Don't challenge random guests to spars before a nice conversation over tea.” Mina replies in a sheepish tone.

“Yes. Now sit. You may discover things such as they may not even like sparring.” you reply.

“Eh!? An Ashuran not liking physical combat of some sort!?” Mina seems genuinely shocked about this as she sits down.

“Well it’s not that I don’t enjoy it. Indeed I enjoy a good spar as much as any Ashuran does, similar to how some people use recreational drugsBUT!” Nalika says while raising a finger towards Mina to make sure she doesn’t say anything. “It doesn’t mean that I find fulfillment in it. The Ashuran people, like many warrior cultures, stress body and mind. The Ashurans typically and completely forget about the latter bit. I find that combat without reason is... just not fulfilling to me in some way. I seek to know, I seek to know why things are and not just to punch them in the face repeatedly.”

“Wow! It’s not often I find an Ashuran like you then!” Mina replies.

“I know.... Believe me I know painfully well...” Nalika replies to Mina.

As you calmly sip your tea, some idle thoughts come to mind, practically what you can do today. There is the Okarian Library you can visit today, paying a visit to your Uncle and sister, trying to see what you can do about your father, maybe head to the Fighters Guild, look around the city some more... A lot of things come to think of it.

Or some idle talk among your friends if you feel up to that.
>>
>>27164945
We should really pay the family a visit, give em a heart attack or two, could get some info on our farther as well.
>>
>>27164945
Let's chit-chat for a little bit with the group, if Mina and Nalika are going to spar, I'd like to see it. It could be quite impressive.

Other than that, I'm fine with visiting the library or the family.
>>
>>27165007
>>27165029
I'm up for a combination of these two, chilling for a bit, and going off to visit our uncle and sister to see how Dad's doing.
>>
>>27164945
Chill a bit and see if they want to spar or what, then go visit our family (Company optional, but I don't mind) and then MAXIMUM RESEARCH! at the library.
>>
You take a deep sigh as you begin to think over your options. As much as you’d like to do other things, you do feel a moral responsibility to head on over to your known relatives and see how they’re doing.

“So the answer is no, I’m not looking for a spar at the moment. I don’t feel in the mood for it.” Nalika replies.

“That’s a first if I ever heard one.” Mina replies.

“I would take offense, but I can’t because I know how true that is.” Nalika replies.

You put your cup down on the table and give out a gentle sigh. “Yea... I think it’s time for me to pay my Uncle and Sister a visit.”

“Oh! OH!” Mina says upon hearing that. “This is JUST good fortune Nalika, because I would’ve cancelled the spar if I heard this beforehand!”

“Fair enough. Is your uncle within a dangerous part of town?” Nalika asks.

“Laurant Street.” you reply.

“Fairly safe place.” Wilhelmina replies.

“If you don’t mind then I’ll remain here. This appears to be a family matter for you and I don’t mean to interject within your private life to that extent. Plus if your Uncle is mortal then I wouldn’t want to scare him half to death.” Nalika replies.

“Curious, a sister. Question, what clan does your sister belong to/” Wilhelmina asks.

...Oh right... You never told her that you used to be a mortal... Hell a guy. It’s only natural for her to assume that your sister would be a Succubus. Bit tricky since all children born of a mortal and Succubus parents are always Succubi.
>>
>>27165232
"Oh, she's just human."

Pass it off entirely nonchalantly as we're leaving.
>>
>>27165232
Could play it off as half sister pretend it's dad's first wife's daughter.

Wait, is our sister older or younger.
>>
>>27165359
Could always play it off as us being an orphan who was taken in.
>>
>>27165359

Younger
>>
>>27165232
"A bit complicated. Let's talk while walking. If you want to hear the story you can come with us for a bit Nalika"

So what story do we tell?
Succubus lord from the dark ages (aka before Earth got it's shit pushed in by the Pride demons) made us a succubus because he needed minions, died from Pride demon encounter, we were away and lived.

Was exploring and then fucking ancient Myian device that was probably designed to turn people into succubus without the use of aether or something like that because "I have no idea how this shit works lol and neither does my Myian companion".

God damn cryostasis from ages ago. We can bullshit some info from back then with our history knowledge and Myu's flashback. Yes I am terrible with names I have no idea if I wrote any of them right, sue me.
>>
>>27165307
they'll probably assume she's our half-sister
>>
>>27165402
Adding on to that. Only if we actually want to spill the beans of it. We'll still have to explain to Mina because of awkward situation when she meets our dad and asks about our succubus mother or something like that.
>>
>>27165395
So then we do the whole half sister thing, could go alone saying we haven't seen her in a while and it may need some family time.

You guys agree?
>>
>>27165622
I'm down with that. If not, then we tell her the story.
>>
>>27165307
White lies for Wilhelmina and Nalika for now
>>
>>27165232
Lets avoid the issue for now. We can talk later.
>>
>>27165402
We could likely use the myian trap excuse but simply say that as far as we know it exploded after doing it's "magic"
>>
>>27165805
That excuse could work against mortals. But against a demon scholar?
>>
>>27165876
>That excuse could work against mortals. But against a demon scholar?
We're a demon scholar and we don't even understand what Amanda want to do unless she explain to us. You need to remember that the trap would likely have been pre-fall tech.
>>
>>27165914
But the way to turn a human into a succubus is Magic, which myians can't replicate. At all.
>>
>>27165949
No, it just require magic to jumpstart the process after which it only require enough ether which I'm sure a myian super device could store, the other thing would be a Okarian artifact but since we have no knowledge on those I don't know how far fetched it would be.
>>
>>27165996
>>27165949
Lets just use the half-sister plan, cuts out the whole magic and unstable Miyian SCIENCE deal.
>>
[1/2]

Judging from the the look Mina is giving you, you can tell that she’s also worried, but unlike you is managing to hold it in a lot better.

“Technically half sister, but her and I were fairly close growing up so we like to keep tabs on each other.” you reply.

“That’s cool. I bet she pesters you for a lot of magical favors.” Wilhelmina says.

Nalika gives a small chuckle. “Don’t all mortals?”

“Touche.” Wilhemina replies to her.

“Well I best be off then. Nalika, you’re welcome to remain here in the coach if you wish. For your reading, just do your best with... This book.” you say picking a semi-random book out from the pile. You think it should be challenging, but your mind is currently thinking about some other things at the moment.

“Thank you. This place is much more conductive to studies than my place which is... above a dojo with another dojo below me...” Nalika replies.

“What a lucky girl...” Mina replies.

******

You head on over to your uncle’s place, which isn’t that hard to find as you’ve been to it a few times before. Yes you’ve been to Old TO before, but you really didn’t have time to sightsee with all the studying you were required to do.

You take a deep sigh as you walk down the hallway of the apartment building, the door which your uncle lives in seeming to stretch on for entirety. The building itself made from a very sturdy old world building, but having the interior of it replaced about several times due to wood rotting and other such issues, but the old world frame is still good.

“Nervous?” Mina asks you.
>>
who is brooklyn?
>>
[2/2]

“No shit I’m nervous.” you reply. Your heart is nearly beating out of your chest at this point.

“Just relax Brooklyn. It’s only a normal visit.” Wilhelmina tells you.

Yea... Normal... Normal as in you’re about to meet up with your Uncle and younger sister just after you had a surprise sex change done. You’re still you, but it’s still embarrassing as it gets...

“What room is it?” Mina asks you.

“617.” you reply to Mina quickly before looking to Wilhelmina. “Wilhelmina... It isn’t exactly that simple. You see...”

“KNOCK KNOCK!” Mina says while knocking on the door to your place.

“MINA NO!” you say in a panic as you run towards her.

“COMING COMING! HOLD ON A MINUTE!” you can hear the horse voice of your uncle say before the door opens up.

Your uncle is a rather short man, easily standing at a height below you all, but his muscled and stocky frame has had him confused for a dwarf time to time. He’s balding at the top of his head, with the rest of his hair still being salt and pepper. His face is definitely what you’d consider a man’s man face, being rather rugged in terms of both work and experience. His arms are very thick and powerful, good for his work as a mover within the town.

Upon seeing both you and Mina, a grin spreads across his face. “Hhhheeelllllllooo girls! I wasn’t expecting service until later tonight, though I must put stock in that your service is rather... speedy...”

...Oh yes, what you dreaded. He’s a horndog.
>>
>>27166215

Main protagonist of this quest.
>>
>>27166224
And now we have to explain to our uncle we're actually brooklyn in front of wilhelmina who we just lied to, congratulation.
>>
>>27166224

inform him that we are here about a Brooklyn Browning...

try and shoo Mina and Wilhelmina away for at least 15 minutes...

"Hello, um, Uncle."
>>
>>27166224
"Hello uncle, nice to see you too, is sis in?

As you can see I have something to explain to the both of you, also you should really cut down on the women, you are going to catch something if you haven't already."
>>
>>27166224
"Mina bad. And don't even think of taking his offer. Uncle it's me Brooklyn, I'll explain in a minute." Proceed with any of
>>27165402
Because fuck me if we tell uncle about our world domination plans. Maybe later, but I don't think it would be wise right now.
>>
>>27166269
He hasn't seen us in years and succubi shape change so often it is going to be hard for the horny old man to remember Brooklyn, faces change over years.

>>27166288
Try and shoo them away we will meet them at the dojo or something, plenty of people for Mina to spar with there.
>>
>>27166384
We were a man before, human man.
>>
>>27166405
It was the quick excuse for Wilhelmina.

Although in hindsight we could just ask them to go, straight up play a slightly angry face and close the door behind us, just us and our dear uncle.
>>
>>27166495
>allow Wilhelmina to come to see family that don't know we transformed or even changed sex
>Lie to her and don't tell her we weren't always a succubus
There was no hindsight in those event
>>
“Mina no! Don’t even consider his offer!” you immediately tell Mina, before turning to your uncle. “Hello... Uncle. Is sis in?”

“Sis? Uncle? Woah woah woah, I didn’t ask for roleplaying situations here.” your uncle says.

“No... It’s... Me. Brooklyn...” you tell him. “On my 13th birthday you gave me axe despite my Dad protesting against it while I was 14 you took me out to that haunted forest to get a Christmas tree for my family, just you and me discussing information about girls.”

Your uncle just stares at you for a few seconds, slack jawed at the information that no one else other than you should’ve known about. “Brooklyn... By gods... What happened to you!?”

“Obvious, she grew up into a wonderful woman since you last saw her.” Wilhelmina states.

“A woman!? A woman is the very last thing I’d expect my Brooklyn to turn into!” Your Uncle says with a lot of shock in his voice.

You give a small sigh as you look over to both Mina and Wilhelmina. “Mina, Wilhelmina, thank you for escorting me but right now my Uncle and I need to have a little heart to heart talk!”

“Aw... But I wanted to meet your family!” Mina says pouting.

“And you will! But right now, private time!” you say shutting your Uncle’s door behind you.

“Brooklyn... My god... What happened to you!? What did that girl mean that you turned into a fine young woman! I mean... I thought you were curious about girls quite a bit during that trip, but to actually dress up a-”

“I’m... Not dressing... up as one...” you say avoiding your uncle’s gaze as you kick off your shoes.

“Woah woah what!? You mean you actually got surgerically altered!?” he asks in disbelief.

“NO!” you immediately yell in response. “I was happy with what I was before! Why on Earth would I want to turn into a woman!?”

“Well lots of people are curious! I wouldn’t judge you for it either way, and considering what those crazy Miyian doctors give downtow-...” Your Uncle stops as a look of horror spread across his face. “You’re... You’re not doing this because they offered you money right? If you’d just send us a letter I would’ve brought you the bag of silver coins myself! ...Oh gods... Are you paying off that Landlord with protitution!? I heard he was bad in the letters b-”

“No no no...” you sigh, blushing red as a beat while rubbing your head. “Look! My current... condition has absolutely no bearing on choice, even if I was forced into this state by economic means, which isn’t the case!”

“Then what happened!?” your uncle asks. “Come, take a seat while you tell me!”
>>
[2/2]

You head into the living room, which is actually fairly well decorated. Your uncle has a good taste for old furniture so between the bear skin rug and oak woodcase, you’re willing to overlook the ugly potbelly stove. “Alright... What happened was I was exploring the Old World ruins near my place... I... accidently tripped some sort of Old World... device when I was hurt. It healed me, but the damn thing changed my sex in the process. So, I’m in this situation where I’m just now starting to feel back pain and wondering why the hell more women don’t protest against these abominations called dresses.”

“Hurt? Hurt how badly?” your uncle asks.

“Pretty sure my right lung was impaled.” you reply.

“...Woo... Thank goodness for small miracles then eh!? If I were you I’d happily take an exchange of sex instead of death! I wouldn’t be much of a looker but you... Spitting image of your own mother! That is, if your mother wasn’t so short.” Your uncle says.

“Yea, thank goodness I got father’s height aetheric imprint.” you reply.

“Well don’t worry about this problem Brooklyn! We’re in Old TO now! Just a quick trip down to see some of those fancy Miyian Doctors and you’ll be back to yourself in no time! And maybe while you’re recovering we can see some of those fancy Aide Nurses eh?” Your uncle says raising his eyebrow suggestively.

Yea... That's... Not gonna be physically possible... According to the Queen's you're stuck as a female forever.
>>
>>27167391

"You think I had not already thought of that? It seems that the thing that done this to me is irreversible, even for them... well, assuming I still want to be alive... I decided to visit personally as I am still adjusting.... The alternative was to fake my death and assume a new identity..."
>>
>>27167391
"Uncle, you know that I'm a scholar, like Dad. I've been studying this for obvious reasons, I know more about Magic and Aether than you do.

I already looked into the possibility, it's not possible. If I try something like that my Aether will be completely out of sync with my body, I'll either be absurdly sick for the rest of my life or die in agony. It was a very thorough machine.

But it's not all that bad, it hasn't changed who I am and I actually have a good job, money isn't a problem."

Give our Uncle a hug.

"I've missed you, it's good to see you again Uncle. How have you been? How's my sister been?"
>>
>>27167391
"That is, sadly, an impossibility. I've looked into it, and this is all magic apparently. No amount of medicine could reverse it."

"Now, would you mind if I brought my friends back in?"
>>
You can only give a solemn sigh as you hear your Uncle say that.

“Is something wrong Brooklyn?” he asks you.

"Uncle, you know that I'm a scholar, like Dad. I've been studying this for obvious reasons, I know more about Magic and Aether than you do. I already looked into the possibility, it's... not possible. If I try something like that my Aether will be completely out of sync with my body, I'll either be absurdly sick for the rest of my life or die in agony. It was a very thorough machine.” you tell him.

“Oh... Oh Brooklyn...” he says now looking a bit sorry.

“But it's not all that bad, it hasn't changed who I am and I actually have a good job, money isn't a problem." you tell him.

“Well you still have your health!” you uncle says to you.

“That I do. Come to think of it, that machine also took off a few pounds I wanted to lose and even gave my body a physical tune up, so hey silver linings.” you reply.

“That’s true that’s true! You’re just like my brother in the way that he always tried to find silver linings in things!” your Uncle says laughing. “So let’s talk about some other things eh? Like who were those girls you came over with, and do you happen to like guys now? I guess with such a complete change it probably also changed your preferences too!”
>>
>>27167879
"Pffff, no, no, of course not."

"How is my sister doing? And where is she?"
>>
>>27167879
"Well the machine "enlightened" me so I ended up court magician at fort hope, I met Mina ,the red head, during one of the duty and Wilhelmina is a local member of the fighter guild I hired as a bodyguard/guide while in town."
>>
>>27167879
Well. Not really. There have been Very Little psychological changes. Preferences and such haven't changed one bit. I Might have become a bit more dramatic though.
>>
"It was mostly physical changes, uncle. I still like girls. And please stop being such a horndog around my friends, geez. Does sis even know about you ordering 'escorts'?"

I'd like to have some form of manly relaxing with uncle, we don't have any sort of bro friends besides our DnD group and our doctor. Get dat fukken masculinity Brooklyn.
>>
>>27167879
"Only thing that changed is my gender. I'm still a massive nerd who likes old books and tea, I still like girls and girls seem to like me.

The redhead is Mina, she's a very close friend of mine, and before you ask, yes. She's a sweetheart, you should like her.

The other one is Wilhemina, and before you ask, no. She's a local, I hired her from the Fighter's guild as a bodyguard and guide to help with some business I'm taking care of while I'm in town.

So what was this about you expecting service later? Can't pick up girls on your own?"

>>27167939
I wouldn't mention the Enlightenment, it only takes a modicum of intelligence to work out that Sex Change + Enlightenment probably equals Succubus.

Yeah, but there's no need to lead people along the path to figure it out.

"It was mostly physical changes, uncle. I still like girls. And please stop being such a horndog around my friends, geez. Does sis even know about you ordering 'escorts'?" you ask him.

“Of course she does! Honestly Brooklyn, what male doesn’t in this town? Succubus capital of the world means not only good quality labour, but also means that no man ever has a problem of finding a woman!” your Uncle says with a laugh. “I mean there’s the saying about fish in the sea, but all you have to do here is dip a bucket in the water and you get an entire bucket of fish! Hell, I was even going to get you a lap dance for your 16th birthday, but your mother... didn’t like that idea.”

“I’d bet... Now as for my friends outside... The redhead is Mina, she's a very close friend of mine, and before you ask, yes. She's a sweetheart, you should like her.” you tell your uncle. “The other one is Wilhemina, and before you ask, no. She's a local, I hired her from the Fighter's guild as a bodyguard and guide to help with some business I'm taking care of while I'm in town.”

“A Succubus Bodyguard? My my... How ritzy Brooklyn!” Your uncle says lifting his eyebrows.

“How the hell did you figure that out!?” you ask.

“Brooklyn! I keep up with the underground betting arena! I know the symbol of a battle mage when I see one!” Your Uncle says.
>>
[2/2]

“Look, she ain’t an escort if that’s what you’re thinking.” you say immediately attempt to defuse a line of thought.

“Well that was my second guess, but my first was that in order to hire a Battle Mage as a bodyguard for yourself in Old TO! If anything I’m happy that you finally made it to the big time! You land some new impressive job!” Your Uncle asks with a bright smile, before turning to a concerned face. “You know Brooklyn, there’s... no shame if admitting if you took some underhanded methods to get the job, and I don’t mean just prostitution. I mean did you have to kill a man to get your post?”

...Oh goodness... How many have you killed...

“Ugh... Uncle... I thought I told you to keep it down... I have a shift tonight...” you can hear your sister walk down out of the hallway and out into the living room, still wearing her nightgown. She takes one look at you with soft brown eyes before looking over to your uncle. “I thought I told you not to bring any whores when I’m in the house.”

“Hey! This time it wasn’t me!” your uncle says raising his hands up. “And it’s awfully impolite to call your brother a whore!”

“...Brother?” you sister asks as she looks at you, her gaze feeling like it’s ripping into your soul as she looks down at you. In terms of look, she’s actually the spitting image of what you look like as a gir- ...like you do now but only younger. Short, brown hair and brown eyes, although with a slimmer frame than you.

"Yes I know Sis, it's weird and we look quite a bit alike.

It's a long story, to put it shortly I was exploring some ruins, got a piece of rebar in my lung, stumbled on some Old World device, didn't die, permanently female, no way to change that.

I'll put the tea on."

Get up, give our sister a hug, and make a pot of tea.

"Sister! An unfortunate accident has made me...this way."
>>
[1/2]

You take a small sigh as you begin to recall some memories. “The dog sled ride from when you were eight years old, and how I gave you my gloves because yours became damaged. Our first trip to Old TO together, and how we constantly pestered father as it seemingly took forever, threatening to turn the caravan around before the caravan leader threatened him about throwing him off the caravan and we both cried...”

“Brooklyn... Oh my god! Are you... actually a woman!?” your sister asks covering her mouth in amazement.

“...Yes... I’m not actually dressing this way. I have a complete sex of secondary female sex characteristics and... female plumbing.” you say while avoiding eye contact with her. Huh, you didn’t know you could grow tomato’s indoors.

“Oh my god! Brooklyn! What happened!?” you sister says as she takes a seat.

“...Long story short Excel, I was exploring some ruins, got a piece of rebar in my lung, stumbled on some Old World device, didn't die, permanently female, no way to change that.” you say hoping to gloss over it.

“No way!” You sister Excel says as she walks over to you, grabbing your cheeks and looking over your face.

“Et’s rheel! Et’s rheel!” you say while she’s holding your cheeks apart.

“...What the shit! Your complexion is like... A million times better than mine even though you don’t have any makeup!” she says with a strong sense of jealously coming off of her. “...What size are you?!”

You don’t answer her. You know how Excel gets. She gets very competitive.
>>
[2/2]

“What’s your sizes!?” she then asks again.

You give a small sigh. “I don’t keep them off hand, but I’m pretty sure the breasts are high D cup, most likely DD.”

“...Bullshit! Bullshit! That Old World Machine must’ve changed your genetics!” she says pointing at you.

“So the first thing you tell me after I share to my near death experience isn’t ‘Oh Brooklyn I’m so glad you’re alright!’ with a hug, but demanding what my damn sizes are!?” you reply back at her.

“Well I am glad! But maybe I didn’t want to cause some sort of stress or bad memories when referring back to when you got hurt!” she replies.

“AND ASKING MY SIZES ISN’T DEMEANING IN SOME WAY!?” you ask in return.

“WELCOME TO BEING A WOMAN BROOKLYN! ENJOY BEING A PIECE OF MEAT TO EVERY GUY ON THE STREET!” she replies.

You sister... means well. It’s just that when compared to you and your father... Well she got the sports genes and the only reason she didn’t get into the Screaming Harpies mercenary group in Fort Hope was that your mother asked Excel not to join while on her deathbed.

I'm going to make some tea. Do either of you know anything about where Dad is?"

You take a few deep breaths, calming yourself down before speaking once again. "Excel, I have found perversion to come from both genders, and you are hardly disproving that. Besides, aren't you able to beat up every guy on the street?”

“Hm... Little more than half. A few of them gave me trouble.” Excel replies. “Are you... actually a girl now, or is this some sort of dream I’m having from too many hours at work?”

You calmly get up from your chair, grab your sisters wrist, and give it a strong pinch.

“OW! What the hell was that for!?” she asks.
“You’re not dreaming. I'm a girl now. That doesn't happen without altering my genetic structure and Aetheric signature.” you reply to her. “The machine that changed me also fucked up my aetheric signature, so I can’t go back now even if I wanted.”

Your sister looks a little pained upon hearing that. “Sorry to have something forced upon you without having a say in it.”

“Yea it was hardly a say. Either I died or I became a woman. I’ll go with what Uncle said in that I’d rather be alive then dead.” you tell her.

“Yea... Yea...” you sister says looking down. “...Mom and Dad... Are they?”

“Still in their graves yes. None of the bullshit from the Forest of Souls got to them, so they’re still sleeping peacefully in the ground.” you reply. You don’t tell her about what you learned yet.

“...Look Brooklyn... I’m s-”

“Excel, don’t do this. You do this in every odd letter. I don’t blame you for moving out of Fort Hope. Hell, despite how stubborn I am even I thought long and hard about moving out of there quite a few times. Considering your options outside of joining the Harpies was shot down by Mom, that put you into a pickle. If anything I’m happy you’re making a life up here.”

[1/2]

You the lean in to give you sister a big hug for support, feeling better as you do so.

“...Well now I can suppose I can forgive you for hugging like a girl.” Excel says.

“Bitch.” you say with a small laugh.

Over the new hour or so you spend some time having tea and discussing what has been happening recently. Being the tea family, your sister managed to get a job downtown at the local teahouse, one of the ritzer places in town. She makes a fair bit of money despite hating the uniform. Your uncle still works as a mover down near the portal entrance, actually fairly excited that he’ll be becoming a foreman soon in all likelihood since the current one will be retiring soon. However his feelings are mixed as while he likes the job, he does get somewhat depressed when Succubi join. Sure it gives the workers something to look at, but there’s the bit that when some Succubi demons can pull an entire carriage by themselves, the threat of downsizing has a real possibility. ‘Thankfully’ the law of the Pride Demons ensures that when a company hires a Succubus, they must ensure that no human or other non-Lust demon jobs are replaced.

Excel sighs upon hearing that. “I’m real depressed about that law.”

“Why so?” your uncle asks.

“Look what’s it’s done to the Succubi. They have no jobs whatsoever, a vast majority of them are relegated to menial jobs, if they can get one at all, huge slums of the city dedicated to them... It’s terrible.” Excel replies putting her tea down in order to think.
>>
[2/2]

“Well I can certainly see the logic in it! It’s not secret that this place is not only the Succubi capital of Earth, but also literally everywhere else! Usually mortals always outpopulate the demons but here in Old TO that’s the exception! Darn Succubi think of coming here as a pilgrimage of sort. I mean the only thing keeping them at bay is the Pride Demon forces stationed here, and if they failed the gangs downtown wouldn’t think for a second about draining you try!” you Uncle warns.

“Yea but I also work with two Succubi! They’re very nice girls! ...They cheat by altering their assets to get a ton of tips, but they’re good people nontheless!” Excel says.

“How many more tips do they get than you?” your uncle asks.

“About double.” Excel replies.

“Excactly my point. The Succubi outperform you by quite a large margin. There’s no shame in admitting that nearly any demon can outperform a mortal Excel. If the Pride Demon’s didn’t have these laws in place, then mortals would become the second class citizens overnight. Literally overnight.” your Uncle says.

To be honest, you had the same viewpoint your Uncle did before you transformed.
>>
>>27170774

"While working in the Langly Family Library, I found a Old World Diary that implicated that Succubi were interspersed with Humans for thousands of years prior to the Pride Demons Invasion... While other books from the same period make no mention of any form of Magic or Demons of any kind..."

"You might want to talk a bit to my bodyguard that I hired here in Old TO. She's a Battle Mage, but from what I understand, she's had it pretty rough. I'm not saying that when placed on equal footing, Succubi wont have more choices and advantages then humans, far from it. But I get the feeling that Succubi might not be on equal footing in cases.

And at that point, people will start blaming them, asking why they haven't succeeded. Stereotypes...are not good things to base these things on."
>>
>>27170774
"I couldn't agree more. Death to all demons."
>>
not sure if Brooklyn would know this so may be edited a bit.
"heard in the old world that technology was the equalizer. as large manual tasks now could be easily preformed by mortals. in fact the old world had a similar reaction before the industrial revolution where workers feared being replaced by machines to do heir job. Things worked out better for everyone in the ends but their was turmoil in the transition. I do sympathize with the workers who made their lively hood and faced an uncertain future. "
>>
>>27170774
"Uncle, mortals are second class citizens. There's no denying that. We're serfs, even if we like to think otherwise.

The laws aren't in place to protect mortals from Succubi, they're there to keep the Pride Demons in charge over the Succubi. Don't mistakenly think that the Pride Demons actually give a flying fuck about any of us in any other way than keeping us from being a threat while still being useful.

The reason this place has so many Succubi is because that's the way the Pride Demons want it. They like having a single place to collect their potential enemies, keep an eye on them, and occasionally take some of them and 'reeducate' them, and by that I mean torture them into obedience.

Interestingly enough historical records suggest Succubi were around as part of human society long before the Pride Demons attacked and brought about an apocalypse. They are well suited towards blending in and in many cases were beneficial to society as a whole.

Of course it's all gone to hell since then."

"While working in the Langly Family Library, I found a Old World Diary that implicated that Succubi were interspersed with Humans for thousands of years prior to the Pride Demons Invasion... While other books from the same period make no mention of any form of Magic or Demons of any kind..." you say sipping your drink. "Makes you think, doesn't it?"

“That’s because they were uncover from the Pride Demons Brooklyn. The only reason they didn’t blatantly take over society was because stealth was their main ally. If for example, that law was abolished tomorrow, then nothing would be stopping the Succubi from taking over nearly all our jobs. Pretty much the only merchants who wouldn’t hire them is that Celestia college downtown or male centric jobs.” your uncle replies.

Despite his job as a mover, your Uncle is no idiot.

“Point.” you reply to your Uncle. The Queen’s did say to you that the main reason they didn’t blatantly take over Earth was due to stealth reasons.

Excel sighs after sipping her tea. “Uncle, mortals are second class citizens. There's no denying that. We're serfs, even if we like to think otherwise.”

“A bit higher than normal serfs.” your uncle reply.
>>
[2/3]

“Correct. Compared to the old Feudal system, the Pride demon political system relies on who can make the most for their kingdom, usually profit, if you can make money then you get a higher status, but mortals can only go so far legally.” you reply. “Regarding Succubi, the laws aren't in place to protect mortals from Succubi, they're there to keep the Pride Demons in charge over the Succubi. Don't mistakenly think that the Pride Demons actually give a flying fuck about any of us in any other way than keeping us from being a threat while still being useful. They like having a single place to collect their potential enemies, keep an eye on them, and occasionally take some of them and 'reeducate' them, and by that I mean torture them into obedience.”

“OK! There are faults, I admit! But what else are we to do? Wait until Celestia beats Aritcus and puts us into another form of slavery? Try to find the black market smuggling operation to find a place which isn’t ruled by Pride Demons?” your uncle asks.

“I don’t know. Maybe you can change this place. Interestingly enough historical records suggest Succubi were around as part of human society long before the Pride Demons attacked and brought about an apocalypse. They are well suited towards blending in and in many cases were beneficial to society as a whole.” you say.

“Of course it's all gone to hell since then." Excel mutters while sipping tea.
>>
[3/3]

“Brooklyn. It worked back then. I’ll admit that. But for a theory, if you took today, somehow made it so the Pride Demons wouldn’t touch the Succubi here, then we’d be fucked. Back then it was an issue for Succubi to blend in, but unless you scatter the Succubi then they won’t see a point to blending in. I don’t know exact numbers, but I heard it was pretty damn dangerous to keep so many demons in at one place, and Old TO certainly passed that point a while ago.” you Uncle says.
>>
>>27171458
"Which is why if we ever get freed from the pride demon we'd need someone strong enough to prevent everything from going to hell."

>>27171458
"A good point. But I doubt it's something any of us will have to worry about any time soon."

Things change, Uncle. Maybe Succubi will be more powerful later, or the Pride demons will be gone, or Celestia will be gone, or everyone will be at peace, as unlikely as that might be.

It's important to consider the past sometimes.

"Almost certainly. And hell it'd be even worse because ideological differences cropped up between factions inside the Succubi.

A possible solution would be mechanized labor, it doesn't matter much if you're a Demon or a Mortal when doing technical labor or operating machinery. The differences are there, but they can be mitigated to a degree.

Of course all the infrastructure for that was fucked over and attempts to create said infrastructure would lead to a posse of Pride Demons breaking your face. Which means even if the Pride Demons did get ousted, we don't get utterly fucked over by the trade embargo from the outside and starve to death, which is difficult, and someone half decent gets put in charge, there'll be a unpleasant transition period.

But who knows, enough small changes might do something, maybe Mortals and Succubi can help each other, work together and not get set against each other. I know, I'm being a hopeless optimist."

“Worst case scenario it’s exactly what I think! Your Great Grandfather died in the Science Lord Wars Brooklyn! Killed by some asshole who thought he could grab power and did so! Hell, Canada got off lucky compared to Asia and Russia, who nearly destroyed each other during that time!” your uncle states.

“Then Russia became a superpower in where a lot of safeguards was put into place on who controlled the technology, and still tells both Celestia and Pride Demon forces to fuck off on a regular basis.” you reply to your Uncle.

“Technology is one thing, magic is another. Personally I’d prefer magic over technology, at least the laws of it are far more flexible.” your uncle replies.

Right... You forgot he hated technology.

What are the odds that our sister will find out about us being a succubus? I say around 70%

>>27180501

>>27180554

well... she works in a tea room... a place filled with gossip, not to mention a couple of succubus workers... she's definitely in a place to hear about any open rumours... So it boils down to how much noise we make and how much attention we garner... If she hears we have been hanging around with the Succubi ALOT she may make connections, possibly even ask her colleagues about if a man can become a succubus....

So, based on our objective of at least negotiating a cease-fire between the Okerian and Myian factions, There is defiantly going to be rumours about our involvement in the matter... So, chances are high.... so we might want to either start setting up a cover story, or pop the bottle...

I would agree with >>27180461 in that its probably about 70%
>>
>>27180461

I'm wondering what the odds of her ending up a Belkarian is. Seeing as we have a very...impressive rate with turning people and I could see her demanding if she finds out.

“Well, joy, I'm just ROLLING in pussy now, I guess I picked up the trick of being impaled and having my body taken away from me-! Oh, how lucky I am!” you sarcastically say aloud to yourself.

“Brooklyn come! I did not mean it like that! You know that we do care for you very much.” Your uncle says.

“Me especially! I mean you’re all I have left of my direct family, and I’ll love you regardless of what form you take.” Excel replies to you.

You give a small sigh of relief. “Thanks sis. That means a lot.”

“You... are adjusting to being a woman though right? Wiping down and not up?” she asks.

“...I learned that VERY quickly.” you reply to her.

“HA! Yes, I nearly forgot that ol’ Brook now has to use the washroom di-” your uncle stops as he looks at the time. “Oh shit! Is it nearly 10 already!? I got to get going to work!”

“Yea... I’m still kinda tired, considering that I’ve been pulling the night shift recently...” you sister says.

“Don’t worry guys, I’ll be in Old TO for a while. At least a few weeks, so this isn’t just a drop in sort of deal. I’ll definitely be back to see all of you.” you tell your family.

“Oh we’ll Miss you too ol’ Brookie boy! Er, gal!” your uncle says as he gives you a strong hug.

“Stop by the tea house if you can sometime while you’re here Brooklyn!” Your sister says giving you a hug.

“Oh... Oh I definately will...” you say as a tear falls down your face.

“Brooklyn you’re a girl now. Just say hormones and get out of it free.” your sister suggests with a sly smile.

“...I’ll keep that in mind.” you say wiping your eyes with a tissue.

A quick teary goodbye with a promise is how you leave your family’s place, sighing contently as you leave. You were worried originally that it would’ve gone far worse than you expected, but in the end it turned out rather well. As you leave the apartment complex, both Mina and Wilhelmina are sitting on the steps outside of the apartment.

“OK, so generally a question in japanese is ‘desu ka’.” Mina tells her.

“So... Question, sore wa ikgura desu ka.” Wilhelmina says repeating the phrase that Mina said.

“See! It’s not that hard at all!” Mina says clapping.

“Your three character within the language really doesn’t help...” Wilhelmina says back to her, before she notices you coming out. “Pleasant. Oh hello Brooklyn. Question, how did it go.”

“Hm... Well I’d like to check out the Okarian Library I’ve heard so much about.” you tell the girls.

“Oh... I won’t be able to enter that...” Mina says pouting.

“Oh Mina... I’ll make it up to you.” you say giving her a pat on the back.

“Promise?” she asks.

“...Will that promise fuck you over? I don’t want to be stuck in a locked room while you have a promise broken.” you ask.

“No, it’s just on your end, not mine.” Mina replies. “Plus it’s open ended on when you’ll pay me back, no responsibility from my end. I intend not to make the same mistake I made in the tavern!”

“OK then I promise to try and make it up to you.” you say giving Mina a hug.

“OK! No worries then! I guess I’ll go see what Nalika is doing then go to the Fighter’s
Guild.” Mina says.

“Good luck!” you say waving Mina off.

“You two seem awfully close.” Wilhelmina says as Mina runs off.

“Yea, she helped me through a very hard time in my life. Two of us are fairly close.” you reply to Wilhelmina.

“That’s fine.” Wilhelmina says getting up off from the ground. “It take you a bit to get registered though.”

“That’s fine. Mina doesn’t mind when I pay her back and it’s unlikely the girls will do something like burn down the entire caravan while I’m gone.” you reply.

***MEANWHILE***

“FIX IT FIX IT!” Stacy says in a panic while the cargo burns.

“I don’t know how!” Katlin replies in a panic.

“You control fire! Use that!” Amanda says to Katlin.

“Uh... OK!” Katlin says she begins to concentrate, holding her hands out and making a lowering motion with her hands, only causing the fire to grow in intensity.

“PUT IT OUT! DON’T PUT AETHERIC OIL ON IT!” Stacy says back in horror.

“I’M TRYING!” Katlin panics as she tries again.

******
>>
[2/3]

“...Yea I’m sure they’re fine.” you say nodding to yourself as you continue to walk alongside Wilhelmina. As you do, you begin to notice that the scenery amidst the town has changed. Before there were a lot of mortals, but now there are women for nearly as far as the eye can see, the vast majority of them all having the same monotone pattern of voice and face that Wilhelmina has, all of them doing various things such as showing exotic wares used for spellcasting, very damaged books, and lots of sweet foods. Looking around, you can tell that a lot of ruins for theatres have been reconfigured and attempted to have been restored, but even then they still only appear to be a fraction of their normal self. True to what Oksana said, there are a lot of plays going on within the city.

“Wow... There are a lot of plays here...” you say marvelling the theatres.

“Yea. I’ve been in a few of the plays as walk on roles before. Though I’d say the biggest theatre would probably have to be the library.” Wilhelmina says.

“There’s a theatre in the library?” you ask.

“Yup, and every Saturday night is the matinee. The Library is more than just a Library for us Okarians Brooklyn. It’s literally both the Okarian Cultural Nexus, Political Headquarters, and our information repository. If you’re big in the library, then you’re big shot Okarian. Don’t belittle the Library by calling it just a normal old library.” Wilhelmina warns.

“Noted.” you reply.

“Also don’t start trouble. There are a lot... and I mean a lot of guards within the Library. It has to be that to keep the M’s out.” Wilhelmina adds.

“You mean the Miy-”

“We don’t say that word around here.” Wilhelmina says quickly cutting you off. “Besides, we’re here.”
>>
[3/3]

You look up at the building at what Wilhelmina calls the Library. Sure enough it seems like a fair sized building, but you somehow expected it to be... bigger. Only two stories tall and appearing to be of a brick construction. The steps up however appear to be of solid marble while Roman pillars seem to be erected to keep the roof up. You do note that nearly six Okarian guards are in front of the building. Some of them are dressed up in leather armor like Wilhelmina, while others are wearing plate armor in of themselves, while others appear to be wearing fancy robes like Uilodsir.

“It’s bigger on the inside.” Wilhelmina says as if reading your mind, climbing up the stairs and pushing open the doors to the Library.

What awaits you is what appears to be a rather spacious waiting room. A fancy rug lays beneath your feet as you enter, while several Succubi can be seen discussing various things around the fireplace, some of them not even Okarians themselves. A single large desk with a few more Succubi can be seen operating around a reception desk in the center hugged by two staircases, two of them writing down various things while the last one hands envelopes to messanger Imps who appear to be all lined up on the desk.

“Polite, welcome to the Grand Okarian Library. Inquiry, how may I help you.” the Okarian secretary asks as she looks away from her book and up at you.

Wilhelmina gives you a “go on” nod to the secretary, encouraging you to step up.

"I’m an entirely new Okarian, and would like to register. It's my first time around these parts, you see." you tell the secretary.

“Question, do you have someone to vouch for you.” the Okarian secretary asks.

“She does.” Wilhelmina says as she pulls out a piece of folded up paper and passes it to the secretary.

The secretary takes Wilhelmina’s paper, looks it over for a few seconds before passing it back to her. “Just a moment please.” the secretary says as she goes over to a filing cabinet, but rather than rustling through the papers she just seems to instantly reach in and pull out some papers which she then puts in front of you. “Before I submit your application. Do you know under article 29 subjection B-7 of Lord Articus’s Land Treaty that this Library is considered an Okarian run institution by Okarians and for Okarians. It’s illegal to impersonate and an Okarian if you are not one, and if you are discovered that you are not an Okarian your minimum sentence is at least 25 years of indentured servitude. During the paper writing, a pair of Gemelli will confirm whenever you are an Okarian or not. You are to cooperate with them, and any supernatural abilities or items that cause interference, intentional or not, with their scan will result in immediate rejection. Do you understand and accept these terms?”

Wow, they are not kidding about taking any chances. “I do.”

“Very well. Please complete the forms using one of the available desks and return to me when finished.” the secretary asks.
>>
[2/3]

You take the form over to the desk, looking it over before writing it. There are some... rather odd questions on this calendar. Some things are clear cut, such as your areas of magical expertise, things that you desire to learn and so forth; but your astrological sign seems a bit odd of a thing to be labelled as essential, but then...

“...Why are they asking for my favorite brand of pastry as an essential question?” you ask looking at the question.

“Because no one fills out the catering questionnaires they give out. Or use them as bookmarks instead.” Wilhelmina says looking at a nearby painting. “...I never actually stopped to look at these before...”

Around halfway the Gemelli pair also comes to investigate you. They ask some rather personal questions such as where you’re from, if you’re an Okarian, what you do for a living, if you have a spouse, and other things. It feels like trying to become Brothen’s teacher all over again.

Eventually you manage to complete all of the paperwork and pass it into the secretary, who in turn fills out a piece of paper then passes it to you. “This is your library pass. This is considered property of the Library and you are not to alter it in any way, shape, or form. Taking care of it is your responsibility. Do you understand?”

“I do.” you reply. Same deal as other libraries.

“Very well. Welcome to the Library Ms. Brooklyn Browning.” the secretary says passing you the paper.

“Thank you.” you reply as you head over to Wilhelmina. “Got it!”

“Good, then let’s enter the library, shall we?” Wilhelmina asks as she also pulls her own piece of paper back out and walks towards one of the four doors that you figure lead into the library proper.

The Okarian guards look over your paper with a careful and studied look, this time taking a good thirty or so seconds before passing the paper back to you. “You’re clear. Go on in.”

“Thank you.” you reply as you take back the paper.

“Good thing we’re coming back, I wanted to get another book. This man mentions the 13 spirits but doesn’t bother explaining them at all...” Wilhelmina says as she pushes open the door.

What you can see goes beyond the word “Grand” they attached to this library. Instead of being a meager two story library, you can see this Library itself seems to be mainly a gigantic wide open spiral, a place so massive that you could probably come close to fitting the entire Langy Castle inside of this place. Succubi and a few other elemental spirits can be seen flying around in the midsection, all of them seeming to be almost bathing the large glass roof that can be seen above the area. Large ornate statues of various figures can be seen, both warriors and famous scholars throughout the ages.

You literally fall your knees from such a divine sight. You never imagined even your wildest dreams that such a library could exist. You could literally spend 100 years here just reading books, and you’d hardly make a dent in the vast repitore of books.

“Concerned, Brooklyn. Are you alright. Question, Brooklyn.” Wilhelmina says kneeling down next to you.

“...Newbies...” a Succubus says as she walks by.

“Some people often do spend lifetimes here. I know some Succubi who just literally go asleep on a table somewhere within the library, though most of them just try to rent a bed.” Wilhelmina says.

“What about baths!? Food!?” you ask.

“I’m not sure if you ever tried it, but Succubi can go a long time without food if they don’t expend themselves. In terms of snacks, the cafe always sells tea and various pastries. If people need a bath, then the Library bathhouse is only on the 14th floor.” Wilhelmina replies.

Start by finding how the books are cataloged.

Unfortunately, it's Business before pleasure...

Meeting with Oksana's 2nd daughter will probably require doing some 'loyalty missions'... alternatively, if we make enough waves, eventually the management will want to see what's going on....
Alternatively, there is her Lamian daughter, who apparently spends most of her time in the library, so lots of leg-work on that one...
We also need to find someone who can tutor us in Space Control as that personal objective was set to us by Oksana...

I'm thinking, that we should take a look at the Space control section and see if anyone there is in a talking mood... If not, then we can at least get another book on the subject... Ideally 'Space Control for Dummies; Vol 1'...

Doing some research into the Current Social Hierarchy of the Clans might also be helpful while we are here...
>>
[1/2]

“History! Magic! Math! So many things to study here!” you say nearly drooling at the mouth, sprouting wings and nearly taking flight.

“Brooklyn, wait up.” Wilhelmina says as she takes flight after you.

It takes you nearly an hour to find the just the space section of the magic section, even with help from a Librarian at a desk, which they probably need an army of to keep this place maintained. As you walk down the space isle, you can see two towers of books, all of them seeming to be many stories high. You laugh in glee as you fly up along the rows, scanning all of the books here. It’d take you an entire lifetime just to get through the space section, even if you just ignored the worthless ones!

But cutting your information high off is what appears to be Wilhelmina’s sheath directly in front of your face.

“Woah! What gives!?” you ask.

“Ssshhh... There’s a lecture going on.” Wilhelmina says, pointing down below.

Looking down, you can see what appears to be a cluster of Succubi and a few Greed demons in cloaks sitting down around some tables, all while another Succubi appears to be giving a lecture up on stage with various guards positioned at the edges.
>>
[2/2]

“So now we have the spacial temporal lock fix within an area that is also being compressed by space time. Anyone want to make some observations?” the lecturer asks before pointing to a raised hand in the crowd.

“The... compressed space time would cause interference with a sympathetic metaphysical connection to any targets within the area?” A Greed demon asks, face hidden beneath his cloak.

“Yes, and birds go tweet. Any other observations?” the lecturer asks before pointing to another raised hand in the crowd.

Oh.... The knowledge... The dry wit... You can die happy now...

Whatever they’re talking about in space, it appears to be way over your head. You decide that it’s better to educate yourself on some entry level material.

“Space kontrol 4 kids...” you say reading the topic.

“As a heads up, they won’t let you colour in the colouring book sections.” Wilhelmina warns you.

“Well gotta start somewhere.” you say taking the book with you and begin to make a pile.

******

“Oh good... god! How on Earth am I ever going to make a dent in this!?” you ask looking at the large pile of space entry books you picked out for yourself.

“It ain’t called an advanced control for nothing yo.” Wilhelmina replies.

“Yea but this is a bit overkill ain’t it?” you ask while scratching your head.

“Due to the volume of books within this area, study groups are often made. In a study group each person usually reads a book then reviews the book in front of the study group, going over what was good and what was bad. It lets Okarians skim through books a lot faster that way.” Wilhelmina says.

“Do you have a few study groups I could be a part of?” you ask.

“Question, do you speak German or Russian.” Wilhelmina asks.
>>
[2/2]

“Nope.” you reply.

“Then no. However if you go over to the bulletin board you can see a listing of various study groups for this section of the library.” Wilhelmina says pointing to a board.

Walking over to the board, you can see it literally covered in papers, many of them requesting that a person read some sort of book related to a certain topic, along with a meetup time and what refreshments to bring.

“Wow... There are a lot of them...” you say looking at the board.

“Of course you could always just read them by yourself.” Wilhelmina says.

"Well my mentor told me I should find someone to teach me, something about going out and learning more about succubus society since we live in the middle of nowhere. Maybe I should try for a study group." you say looking for a group. Sure enough, you find a listing for a newbie group and sign your name up on it. “There we are... Meeting... Today!? Oh shit!”

“Calming, don’t worry Brooklyn. For your first time in the group it’ll only be an introduction. Just say you’re new and they’ll go easy on you unless they’re bitches. ...Depressed, which most are.” Wilhelmina says.

“...Well shit...” you say looking at the board.

“Bring the colouring book just in case. Also a warning Brooklyn, some Okarians may not use the
emotional keywords I do before speaking. Secondly, be warned that some of them may not hold mortals in that high of a light.” Wilhelmina warns you.

“I’m sure I’ll be fine.” you tell Wilhelmina.

“You head off to your study group now. It should be within this area somewhere. I’ll be over here finishing this book on spirits off. It’s considered rude to butt into a study group which you are not a part of unless asked.” Wilhelmina says taking out her spirit book again.

“Take care!” you say flying off to look for your study group.

******

“472... 472...” you say looking around at the rows upon rows of tables. You notice that despite people talking at the tables, no noise escapes from them. You figure that magic must be everywhere here, and that some sort of noise cancellation must also be in here as well. “Ah!”

Looking over at your table, with a rather easy to find large number on top of it, with around it sitting at least nearly four other Succubi, all of them currently sipping tea. As you approach the table, you can hear the noise bubble give way and volume being restored to the world.
>>
[2/3]

“So in a way, I’d probably suggest this book to people who have their feet wet into the principles of Life Control, but in the way that your feet only have a thin coating of water on them before you want to take a swim.” A Succubi with black clothing and pale skin says holding up a green book.

“Good luck learning any form of Life Control with your poisoned body Madison.” another Succubi says while sipping her tea, this one dressed in what appears to be cloak with various vines growing in and around it.

“I consider that a challenge.” Madison replies back to her.

“You should be careful that you should not bite off more than you can chew.” another Succubi says, this time dressed in what appears to be light brown archaeology gear and wearing a dark brown cap.

“I keep telling all of ya that Bard school will really help out with that.” Another Succubi dressed in a colourful dress with a Lute leaning next to her chair says, her voice having actual emotion in it.

“You say that to everyone Nona.” the Archaeology Succubi replies.

“...Can I help you.” the plant Succubi ‘asks’ while looking at you.

“Uh... Yea. My name is Brooklyn Browning, I just signed up for this study group since you were accepting newbies.” you tell them.

The plant Succubi simply sighs and rubs her forehead. “Damnit Nona...”

“What!? Pretty much all of us are fucking new in the subjects we’re talking about right?” Nona asks looking confused.

“Terra shut up. We don’t need you scaring off another member of the group.” Madison tells the plant Succubus.

“I’ve been trying to get rid of you for years...” Terra mumbles while sipping her tea.
>>
[3/3]

“Love you too.” Madison replies while sipping her tea.

“Uh...” you say looking at the spat, unsure of both what to think and exactly what the hell their emotions were.

“Ignore those dumb bitches. Go ahead and take a seat Brooklyn! Why don’t you tell us a bit about yourself!” Nona says pulling a chair back for you.

“What about?” you ask.

“Oh just the basics. Age, job, magic’s or rituals known, Okarian profession, and what you’re hoping to learn about while in the group.” the archaeology Succubus replies.

...You have no idea what they mean by Okarian profession...
>>
>>27193069
First, turn on Aura Sight, nothing like getting some more practice with it while we're here. Then state Brooklyn's age, darkness (or light, or both, probably just darkness), water, (our pathetic knowledge of rituals), state that you're trying to learn space control and that we currently don't have a profession.

If we had to go for one, currently Teacher or Librarian would be what we have most knowledge of (doesn't mean we can't learn).
>>
>>27193069
"I'm 'age' I can never remember it I'm currently working undercover as a court magician for a noble family in the north and took leave to learn more about the world. I can do light and darkness magic on a decent level while I dabbled in space and water on my own with more or less success. The only rituals I know are one to question fate, one to craft jinxed or good luck charm and how to summon imps. My mentor was an enlightened human so I never learned about Okarian profession before."
>>
>>27193069

Well, I know some light, water, suggestion, aura sight, cloaking, and a small touch of space control. Nothing that impressive, but I make due. This is actually my first time dealing with Okarian society, because there are very few succubi where I'm from, so I don't even know what a Okarian profession is! I'm actually a court mage in my home town, and I'm about 25. As for what I'm hoping to learn... would everything be too much? I have a particular interest in trying to learn more about space control. It's the hardest discipline I've come across yet, and it seems like the possibilities are endless! I would also like to learn a bit more about society here in general, and these groups seemed like a good way to do it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

(I specifically did not mention darkness control because light and darkness seem to be an unusual combination, and light is easier to use for social things. That way our greatest power can be a trump card if we need it.)
>>
>>27193335
This seems like a bad idea, unless other succubi cannot look up information on brooklyn seeing as we had to place said information about darkness control down on the application.
>>
>>27193335
They're hard to combine I don't think sandact said anything about learning them.
>>
>>27193391

I doubt they have access to our application, and if it comes up later for whatever reason, either we must have forgotten to mention it with all the rest, or they didn't remember right. After all, it's easy to forget something in the list of all the controls, and it's not as if we'd ever said we didn't know it, is it? As a matter of fact, if they flat out ask if we know darkness control, that will be a resounding yes! If they don't ask, then who can blame us if we slip up a little when we're meeting our first real group of Okarians?
>>

But the moral behind this is become much stronger overall when learning how to harness the powers of two conflicting elements. Mild jealously, of course there are the extremely lucky ones who have a natural affinity for both elements and therefore have little difficulty in learning them both.” Wilhelmina explains. “Mild fear, also mastering two elements at once is makes one of Lord Valvotosa’s General’s so feared, as he’s mastered both Darkness and Light.”

'Forgetting to mention' one of your major powersets will come off even worse if you ask me; as then it would portray us as some what of an air head. Potentially as a liar, depending on the person looking.
>>
>>27193574

I also didn't bother to mention the rituals we know. Was that also bad? After all, we can talk about those if we're asked, it just didn't seem important in my opening statement.
>>
>>27193642
They already asked about it...
>>
>>27193621

Which two, cause I seem to remember making the effort to learn every single one of them.
>>
>>27193665
You misunderstand, he meant Aura sight and suggestion pretty much are a given and do not need to be mentioned.

At least that is how I understood it.
>>
>>27193654

And it was unimportant with everything else and just clutter for an opening statement. They wanted a background, not a complete rap sheet. Do you expect everyone you meet to remember a million little details about you? Give them the important stuff and once that's digested you can move on to the little things. Otherwise they'll just forget everything.

“Well, I know some light, dark, water, suggestion, aura sight, cloaking, and a small touch of space control. Nothing that impressive, but I make due. This is actually my first time dealing with Okarian society, because there are very few succubi where I'm from, so I don't even know what a Okarian profession is!” you tell the group.

“Oh Gaia...” Terra says sighing to herself.

“I'm actually a court mage in my home town, and I'm about 25. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.” you finish.

“What type of years?” Nona asks.

“Earth.” you reply.

“I give you credit for being eager, but as a heads up, the Okarian profession is akin to what they attempt to do for a living. Things such as the physical Battle Mage, the Sorcerer, the Wizard, the Artificer, Summoner, or various other things.” the Archaeology Succubus says. “My name’s Lamessa by the way. I myself am an Okarian Battle Mage, age 22 in Pandora years. My speciality mainly being Earth control with a bit of fire control, the rest being a small smattering of rituals and weapon magic. What I’m hoping to learn here is time control to better help my studies.”

“Huh, my friend is a Battle Mage too.” you reply.

“Yea... I’m not a really serious one. Being a battle mage is the most effective in close quarters combat without blowing yourself up.” Lamessa replies.

“CLEAN THE WAX OUT OF YOUR EARS AND LISTEN UP TO THE MOST BADASS INTRO YOU’LL EVER HEAR!” Nona says saying up with Lute in hand.

“This is a library, not a stage.” Terra tells Nona.
>>
[2/2]

“My name is Nona Subota! Great Grandchild of Luna Subota herself!” Nona says.

“That is not a accomplishment considering how much she’s slept around.” Terra says.

“Helps get the guys and girls to bed!” Nona says with a smile pointing both her fingers at Terra. “My speciality is mainly of social skills, though like my great grandmother I have quite a few skills with Light control itself! I’m 19 years young and already been on several adventures! What I hope to learn here is to better perfect my skills that my Great Grandmother uses, that being both Light and Space control!”

“Quite. My name is Terra. I’m a Hermit who lives within the mountains of Europe, mainly in Old TO on an extended studying trip. I’m 76 years old in Earth years. In terms of abilities I am very good in Life Control and Earth Control. I’m here today to see if I can learn anything about Spirit Control, as lately merely understanding the physical underpinnings of the world is more limiting my work than anything else.” Terra says sipping her tea.

“My name is Madison, I’m about 128 human years old. I have a Master’s degree in Necromancy, but I’ve long since sworn off practice within that field. My abilities with Spirit, Space, Time, and Water control however are in decent shape. I’ve practiced Necromancy and Death control for a long time, and am hoping to give up those fields for a new leaf with Life Control.” Madison replies. “For money, I act as one of the official Necromancy consultants for the Library and am qualified to give lectures within it. I do mainly prefer low impact things within my life these days. I own a magic supply store downtown and am looking into having a child.”

“Nice to meet everyone. Nona, I'm thinking we'll be studying together. And wait till you meet a few friends of mine, I'm sure you'll get along just fine." you tell her.

“Oh sweet! Someone else in this group is also learning Space control! Radical!” Nona says full of encouragement.

“Great, just what she needs. Encouragement.” Terra replies.

“Madison, I hope the effort you put into this pays off. I'm guessing your previous profession makes having a child more difficult, necessitating Life control?" you ask.

Madison shakes her head. “Knowing a control doesn’t make it more or less difficult to innately have a child, despite rumors to the contrary. No, I’m just learning Life Control and Healing for personal reasons, mainly to get away from what I once was in the past.”

“I’m telling her that she’s just wasting her time.” Terra replies.

“I’ll let you know that I’ll do with my time whatever I damn well please.” Madison says in a monotone fashion, but you can tell just from the tension that she’s pissed off at Terra.

"Terra, if you don't mesh with Madison, a recent acquaintance of mine knows Spirit control, a-”

“Thank you for the offer Brooklyn, but I’ll decline.” Terra replies.

“Madison’s shy.” Lamessa says.

“Oh yes, threats, like I haven’t had enough of them come into my place before.” Madison says while rolling her eyes. “If I didn’t have my Necromancy oaths then the first thing I’d do to your fo-”

Lamessa bangs her fist on the table, causing all of the nearby books and teacups to rattle on top.

“Where the hell do you think we all are. Miyian U. You’re not mandated to like each other, but for the sake of the study group you will tolerate each other, otherwise I’ll send a compliant over to Wendy herself, and you know what she does to people who waste her time. Now am I clear.” Lemessa says looking at both Madison and Terra.

“Crystal.” they both reply in unison.

“Forgive them Brooklyn, but as I said you don’t need to like people within the study group, just tolerate them and avoid withholding information from your selected reading, as we’re all here to learn. Since you’re still fairly new to the library, is there anything else you wish to know about the library.” Lemessa asks. ...Or at least you think she’s asking.

Turn on Aura Sight.

"Thank you Lamessa.

I would like to know approximate population numbers of the library and a bit more about how it functions as an organization, leadership, hierarchy, who you visit to settle disputes. I'd rather not step on any toes during my time here."

Also, bump.
>>
[1/3]

"Thank you Lamessa.” you reply. “I would like to know approximate population numbers of the library and a bit more about how it functions as an organization, leadership, hierarchy, who you visit to settle disputes. I'd rather not step on any toes during my time here."

“A general historical overview of the Library? Very well. The Grand Okarian Library was first constructed hundreds of years ago in 2006, being signed from the ground up as both a data repository for the Okarian race in addition to being their main political headquarters. Even after the invasion of the Pride Demons, we Okarians still managed to barter a deal in where we were able to keep the library.” Lamessa replies.

“In exchange we had to let those damn Greed demons inside...” Madison mutters under her breath, her aura being black (hate).

“Yes, it wasn’t a total victory for us, but it was preferable to not burning the entire library down. If the library went down, then the Okarians would be decentralized and become a shadow of what they once were, since most everything else belonging to the Succubi were destroyed.” Lemessa states, her aura being a silver (sad) colour.

“Were only Okarians allowed throughout it’s history?” you ask.

“Yes, the library was built for Okarians by Okarians and we stand by that motto. However the other Demon Queens/Kings or Adminstrative Heads may also enter the library if they desire. We extend that as a common courtesy and for diplomatic reasons.” Lamessa explains.

“In terms of leadership, the Library was run for the longest time by the late Okarian Queen Oksana, making it a library as she knew that many Succubi set in the world ways would still come to see it.” Madison replies.

“Good call, as Queen Oksana was a bit too radical with her research methods.” Terra replies.

“Bullshit! She was a visionary!” Nona replies, having a red (anger) aura.
>>
[2/3]

“Visionary my ass. She relied too much on the ‘scientific theory’, despite there being several good theories on magical development. Merlin’s theory of magical development and research is held as the golden standard for magical research for a reason, and Oksana stepped on many toes in that regard.” Terra replies, her arua being red (anger).

“Yes, but we’re not here to talk about the history of magical research.” Lamessa says. “In terms of hierarchy, it is rather simple. There are the Subota’s who run every aspect of the Library, then there are the head Librarians and Guards, followed by the common Librarians and guards, then us.”

“Incredibly simplified, but is a good short version.” Madison replies.

“Most conflict dispute is settled in one of two ways. One is that you can get a librarian to hear your case and have either her or a group of Okarian peers see who wins. The more traditional demonic method of settling things can be done in the arena, where whoever beats the other wins.” Lamessa replies.

“...What about the Subota’s to look into a case?” Nona asks with a dark blue (suspicious) aura.

“...That’s really an outlier. Usually if you bother the Subota’s you better have a damn good case and not waste their time. If you do, they usually suspend you from the library or pummel you into a pulp if you catch them on a bad day.” Lamessa replies. “Still the same process for the Librarian decision though.”

“So Librarians are highly respected?” you ask.

“Hell yea they are! They’re luck the rock stars of the Okarian World!” Nona replies.
>>
[3/3]

“A high degree of respect comes from being a Librarian. Don’t confuse them with just being a mundane Librarian with merely magic. Librarians are also responsible for collecting and cataloguing information for the Grand Okarian Library, one of the three biggest Libraries in the entire universe. They often go out on adventurers in search of new knowledge... Basically they’re Okarian founded heroes through and through.” Lamessa replies.

“Wow. That... is a lot more than I expected.” you reply.

“Many of the Guards working here would like to become Librarians. In fact, many who do become Judge or Lawyer Librarians, typically ruling over a case. Until then they protect the librarian or record despites.” Terra replies.

“How many Okarians are in this place?” you ask.

“I won’t even hazard a guess for the total population of the library. Way too difficult and those numbers are classified.” Lamessa replies.

“Counting people that only come here on a regular basis...” Nona says as she counts on her hand, her aura still being one of suspicion. “I’d have to say within the area close to 10,000.”

“I’m amazed you can count.” Terra says looking at Nona.

Nona smiles as she wiggles her fingers. “I can do a lot of interesting things with my fingers!”

“So let’s say if there was something important one had to give the Subota’s. Is there any process for that?” you ask.

“Give them to the Librarians and hope they sort it out.” Lamessa replies.

“You *really* annoy the Subota’s unless it’s something major.” Nona says warning you. “Up front evidence is also required.”

“The penalty for wasting their time is usually suspension from the library in terms of years or indentured servitude.” Madison warns.

“Well... Unless you talk to Luna Subota!” Nona replies.

“Luna hardly does anything for the library anyways. The only reason she has that rank is because she’s late Queen Oksana’s daughter.” Lamessa says, her aura being coloured for jealousy.

“U mad Lamessa?” Nona asks with a smile.

“Mad. I am furious.” Lamessa says before her aura turns black (hate). “Luna is a woman who has nearly absolutely everything, but she pisses it all away by being a hedonist and party girl, little respect for the arts or knowledge other than which one makes the biggest explosion. The very fact that she claims about taking the Queen spot fills me with an unspeakable rage, but the only option I have is screaming internally as she just blasts away anyone who challenges her, laughing all the while.”

A silence can be seen around the table as Lamessa simply fumes in her seat.

“Another cup of tea.” Madison offers.

“Oh, yes please.” Lamessa says holding out her tea cup, aura now a violet (joy) colour.

“How do the Subota’s go about beating their challengers?” you ask.

“Straight physical force.” Madison replies.

“Fighting Luna has the extra addition of being mocked before and after.” Terra adds.

“Is there any more possible information on Luna Subota? Like where she usually hangs out, what she does?” you ask.

“She’s a child of chaos and disorder.” Lamessa replies.

“More like a free spirit!” Nona replies.

“Luna does whatever tickles her fancy at the moment. Because she’s also one of the top Space users of the known Okarians loyal to Okarians, it means that trying to find her via magic is a fruitless endeavour.” Terra replies.

“Also worse since she has space, she can literally be anywhere she pleases.” Madison says. “Finding her in this place is often pure luck in of itself.”

“She can often be seen playing her favorite game of how long she can remain with an Adventurer group before they notice. Also whenever they attempt to attack her, which she then turns them all into ash.” Madison replies.

“Truly doing a demons work...” Nona says in a dreamy voice.

“Wait, she really kills them?” you ask.

“Well... Just mostly Adventurers who strongly align with the Celestia church.” Madison replies.

“Which is virtually all of them.” Lamessa replies.

“Celestia! Bunch of fucking religious psychopaths! ‘Ooohhh! All demons are only pure evil! There is no ethical concerns when it comes to killing them!’ Fuck Celestia.” Nona says sitting back down in her chair.

“Indeed. They’re more like roaches in their regard.” Madison replies.

“But isn’t killing Adventurers a waste of resources in a way?” you ask.

“It’s a demon’s responsibility to humiliate Heroes, Warriors, and Mercenaries.” Madison says.

“Indeed. Throughout history there has been the tales of demon Lord’s letting a group of Adventurer’s live. Some of this is due to amusement value and a Demon Lord’s desire to test various defensive mechanisms. But more likely the Adventurer group is often misdirected. A Demon Lord may arrange evidence for Adventurers to find, portraying a political rival in a far more negative light. Most of the time the Adventurers buy this hook, line, and sinker.”

“Traditionally you don’t really kill Adventurer’s unless they’re really stupid. Hell, killing them may even be iffy as if you don’t have a good cover story, you’d just get group after groups of Adventurers who want to revenge kill you for killing another group.” Madison says.

“And the dead adventurers loot of course.” Nona says.

“That too. Adventurers often stroll into people’s houses all the time as if they own the place. No manners whatsoever.” Madison replies.

“Don’t see why we don’t just kill them. They’re mortals. They reproduce like rabbits anyways.” Terra replies.

“Heroes.” Madison replies.
>>
[2/3]

Terra’s aura then goes into an orange (Fear) colour. “...Oh... Right...”

“That bad?” you ask.

“No I don’t mean those rank and file idiots at the pubs gathering jo- I mean ‘Quests’. No, I mean actual Heroes.” Terra replies.

“...I don’t get it.” you reply.

“Heroes are a... specialty class of Adventurer. Incredibly dangerous.” Lamessa replies.

“Oh boy! Is it time for a history lesson!?” Nona asks in excitement.

“You bet.” Lemessa replies. “The Hero Legend goes back as far as the original Demon Emperor himself. The records between Demons and Celestia often change, but the demonic version of the story is when the Demon Emperor first made his demonic underlings and set them loose, it took awhile for him to notice that when they killed off mortals, the overall aether production in the universe was altered. The Demon Emperor was in a pickle, as sure he discipline them, but feared his lesson would be lost to the sands of time or even ignored. So the Demon Emperor struck a deal with Celestia. They would make it so a small percentage of suitably heroic mortals or those with great potential would have their aether awakened. However, the Demon Emperor and Celestia realized this may not be enough, so they made Heroes.”

“What can heroes do?” you ask.
>>
>>27208070
it was either feed them to the queens or mind control. imply because we couldn't afford to be outed, we still sort of can't afford it.
>>
[3/3]

“They’re... nasty Adventurers. Normally physical, but can be of any gender or class. What makes them dangerous isn’t because they can do feats like crack planets in two... though some have in legends, but rather that they learn skills which scale to the level of the opponent they’re fighting.” Lamessa says.

“Wait... Wait a fucking second. Are you telling me a brand new hero can actually go beat up a damn Demon Emperor!?” you ask.

“A fresh one? No. However they probably will land a hit. See heroes still need to learn skills and abilities just like any other. But for comparsion, a heroes beginning defensive skill works just as well deflecting a Demon Emperor ‘Super Duper Killy Slaughter Beam’ just as well as it works against deflecting mortal arrows, however he still needs to skill to actually deflect it in the first place.” Madison states.

“They also have several other abilities. Such that luck is almost always on their side.” Terra says.

“Luck? Luck is considered an ability?” you ask.

“Very much so, and it has been the bane of many Demon Lord’s.” Terra replies.

“Unlike other Adventurers, Demon’s take Heroes *very* seriously. There’s usually a kill order out on any of them. Granted some do work for demons, but Celestia always seems to get the vast majority of them.” Madison replies.

“That’s because of Celestia’s magical bullshittery powers and how they asskiss heroes like they’re the messiah.” Nona replies.

“Despite their legends, Heroes are just more powerful Adventurers. Just confirm your kills and you’ll be fine.” Lemessa says.
>>
>>27209339
>‘Super Duper Killy Slaughter Beam’ just as well as it works against deflecting mortal arrows

Is there a way to tell if you have a hero instead of a regular adventurer?
>>
“Is there a way to tell if you have a hero instead of a regular adventurer?” you ask.

“Lackies.” Madison replies.

“Madison has a point. Sending lackies after a Hero is often the best bet you have at locating them. You could use a Fate spell do to do, but with their fated luck, you may launch your surprise raid just as the Hero decides to get up early to go for a jog in full armour, feeling fit as a fiddle as he just happened to not feel in the mood for eating the meat you gave him the night before, which you put the poison in.” Lamessa replies.

“That... seems a little farfetched...” you say.

Terra’s aura goes to orange again. “Oh no. She’s telling the truth. I’ve had very similar things happen to me when I was dealing with my Adventurer.”

“Heroes are held in high regard, but they’re not invincible. Sending lower power demons is actually a good tactic for them. Since Heroes only gain power if their opponent is stronger, sending opponents of roughly equal strength is a good tactic. ...Or if you’re extremely confident in your power, you can stomp out the Hero yourself. Risky, but it does work.” Lemessa says.

“But a Demon Lord should have better things to do than stomp out every rumor of a Hero.” Madison says.

“Well either Articus’s information grid is behind the times he’s not paying attention to the rumors that a Hero is in Old TO right now.” Madison says.

“A Hero!? In Old TO!?” Terra says immediately flooding with emotion, her aura turning into a strong orange. “Oh Pamille... I... I-I need to get the hell out of this city!”

“Relax Terra! It’s only a rumor that was probably given out by Celestia to scare the local Pride Demons...” Nona says. “If we’re in any REAL danger, then the Subota’s combined might is *easily* enough to take out any Hero and his friends.”
