Last time we received warning about the bandit horde and prepared in this we got a vile virus and new 'actual' factory. That was when the bandit horde struck. Succussfully placing a beachhead and deployed warbands who struck deep into the swamp. They were good and wiped out many of our watchtowers so we were largely blind. Their bands we outer managed to fight to standstill some even withdrew. However the center warband was making it way to our base and their fuel production was picking up. It was then a plan was decided to take place...it ended in disaster the majority of military was completely crushed. Excited bandit bases sent out more forces just as reinforcements arrived. They smelled blood in the water. The outcome was bleak many of our heroes seemed to be gone or outright missing. That however was when they finally took action. Markus Special mobile base was revealed and with it a tide of metal and flesh was unleashed upon the enemy. We crushed their horde and continued on to their seat of power. There a mighty battle occurred and ended in a draw. Our forces crushed the enemies forces exhausted and lost several bases. Those that survived were heavily damaged. Now however we have other concerns to deal with the monsters are back in force and zombie numbers are really beginning to pick up again as well. It is worth noting the white faction interested in zombies have reclaimed their outposts.

in response to this guys raging last night

HOLY SHIT
I TOLD YOU,
I fucking told you TO START TRADING BIOFUEL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. To set up manufacturing to previous Skull Fuckers level and trade routes.
But NOOOOOO, we fucking hate being rich, wealthy and powerful. Good job all of you fuckers who were against it "because hurr durr safety, derp".

But it's okay, right? We can always make up for the lack of brains with good rolls, right?
OP is being too fucking easy, if it were for me, there wouldn't have been flesh monsters, there wouldn't have been robots and sure as hell there wouldn't have been Marcus, waling cheat-book.

>>27195277
OP, are you still here?
Did you read the discussion at the end of the previous thread? Why the fuck did you let the idiots at the start of the thread ignore the slaves we had SPECIFICALLY ordered from the trader?
fuel production would have done nothing to stop this. Even if we bribed her with some, SHE IS A BANDIT WARLORD the only thing she respects is military might, which we did not really have she would have instead had vehicles to complement her troops. why would she be content with some fuel when (she believes) that she can come in and take the entire place and set up shop for herself. and no we would wouldnt have been able to trade for anything really that good, the best weapons they had seemed be SST level and maybe just a tad bit above, so even if we did have a ramshakle group of purchased vechs they probably wouldnt have been as usefull as what we had, and we would have been in the same/worse situation. and we didnt need to trade to set up manufacturing we just put if off for way to long, but that worked out in the long run, now we can churn out SSTs at a very nice rate due to that 100. the slave

and im glad your not our DM because you seem more about "MUH REALISIM" and "PUNISH PLAYRZ FO DEH ROLZ" than about having fun with a campaign. there is a reason this is one of the few successful civ quests on /tg/

Updated rules on the Memor.

1. Conversion of human to mutant is possible and relatively not time consuming. Offspring of these normal converted mutants concieve and grow up in the normal Memor manner, and do not degenerate the Memor genepool.
2. Conversion of human and/or memor to artificial breeder type mutant is feasibly, but their offspring will be detrimental to the genepool. Can be useful for generating soldiers in quick sucession, but these should not be allowed to breed or risk degredation of future generations.
3. Broodmother discovered in underground facility. Increases fertility rate of reproduction and intercourse in her broodnest vicinity, possibly by pheromone or chemical action. Releases juices especially useful for healing, but which cannot be stored and must be used in her vicinity as well.
4. Absolute control of base functions and robots by A.I. restored.
5. Hivemind membership is by consent and mutation. But once joined of volition, loyalty is, in practice, assured. The hivemind does not allow for slavery of it's members within the hivemind, nor crimes, and major actions within the hivemind are monitored and by consent of the hivemind masses.
6. Certain hero units have the strength and willpower to hide their thoughts from the hive-mind, even massive plots and secrets. This can lead to mistakes and unseen actions and conspiracies by the heroes, but the rest of the Memor masses do not and should not be feared of treason or action without hive-mind consent or supervision.
7. New strain of supervirus by Richard. One strain been deemed feasible for battle purposes. Other strain of contagion particularly deadly and left for "last resort/final solution" purposes.
8. Confirmation that mass persuasion of conversion of humans to mutant Memor is possible, even without advanced techniques.
9. The hivemind/overmind is capable of surviving without the presence of the Prophet of fate.

Man. . .that last thread. . .

Also friendly reminder.
"Its best to have a little something extra to draw attention away from the Markus Special. Like other vehicles for example. Markus Special may be able to take insane amount of beating but even it could only survive the deep swamp for so long."

Once we buildup enough SST's (how many OP?) we can finally begin the Broodmother extraction.

Also what's the status on our 250 converted bandits? Have any of them revealed why they were headed for the deep swamp or was that a separate group?

Final reminder of mid-long term goals

Mid term goal (i.e. this chapter or the next few)
1.) 2nd broodmother extraction of deep swamp. Develop vehicles to support Marcus Special.

Long term goals (i.e. a very long time from now)
1.) At 100,00 population, and with research into irrigation, swamp construction, and agriculture we can begin construction of national border (via burned no-man's lands among other defenses and patrols) and swamp drainage/river logging to base to fuel bio-fuel factories and open up dry land for expansion
2.) 2nd tier of borders achievable when bandit forts taken an pop is at 400,000.

Slaves were ignored because discussion in previous thread decided that they were unneeded. This was a very long discussion. Her vehicles were NOT ramshackle. She had been preparing VERY long time. She extorted other bandit groups, acquired vital tech, and even made some deals. The best weapons they seemed to have being SSTs was only the SKULL FUCKERS. Even then they were heavily exhausted due to dealing with monsters and competition. She set up shop on the border of swamp due to her being opportunistic and cautious. She knew the zombies and monster were a big problem. She wanted a taste first. However there were the nightmare fuel around still that needed to be dealt with before everything else started to pick up again. Luckily there were some over eager morons who were more then happy to plunge in headfirst into the unknown. Turned out to make amazingly well at least until Markus Special revealed its self as well as the tide of flesh and metal.

Our forces got attacked during gathering mission. Luckily we fought the monsters off. It seems the bandits have largely clammed up tight. Now monsters are getting bored. In any case we got 8 resources.

Meanwhile Richard has something to say.

"Richard here thought you could use some 'outside' perspective with me not being a member of the Hivemind and all. First of STOP trying to mass produce shit. I just want to point something out number 1 there are factions who could with one finger could out mass produce us no matter how hard we try. Number 2 Tech wise other factions are whole lot more advanced then us. Painfully so even. They got the facilities and tech to outpace us easily.

The ONLY thing we got going for us is

1 mutation; You fuckers can mutate easily without problem without EVEN including bonuses.

2 biotech you have one of THE best FUCKING biotech facilities in the ENTIRE post apoc. There are precious few who can even GEGIN to compete. That isn't even including other bonuses. Biotech would allow you to perfect what mutations bring forth and so much more.

If you do NOT take advantage of this. I will not stick around as I do not plan to die. This is my one and only warning."

93 flower research ABOUT time.

With our biotech facilities completely online and Richard with us. WE commenced research once more. In that regard we discovered something most interesting. How the flowers use radiation to grow with tinkering we figured out how to allow regeneration instead.
MUTATION UNLOCKED radioactive regeneration.

Meanwhile Richard for some reason with some zombie, bandit and even a few volunteers locked himself away with radioactive material.

SPECIAL UNLOCKED
new mutant ghoul new
mutant glowing one

Ghouls- the result of happens if zombie+radiation
mutations: basic. Enhanced strenght. Enhanced toughness. Radiation immunity. Radioactive Regen. Degeneration.

notes
Gradual mental and physical degeneration unless feeds regularly. Radiation quickens healing but increases hunger. Ignores mutants/zombies unless hostile

Glowers- What happens if you can keep them radioactive?

Same has mutant but.

Mutation
Nukem. Fast Regen. Glows.

Notes
basic ghouls attracted to glowing ones. Problem is its a double edged sword. Either way their MUCH more dangerous together then apart.

>>27207110
Yes you can. ONLY if a mutation unlocked however.
>>
Rolled 44

Let's think outside the box of physical mutation, what about new mental abilities?
Mind control? Telekenesis? What sort of things could the hivemind be capable of?

Too bad our best psionic is away though.
>>
Rolled 42

>>27207309
Bah meant same as ghoul for glowers.

In general according to Richard studies ghouls are attracted to radiation. Only thing that drives them away from that is hunger. Its a vicious cycle to say the least. As for ghoul degeneration physical appearance then mental up to base insticts and finally the body actual begins to breakdown. It can take quite some time though. The further along the degeneration the longer it takes for it to get worse.

Just has we started debating about how to use the ghouls in the inner marsh a ghoul stood forward to speak. This one in rags and...is that armor?

"I have a suggestion. The Inner Marsh of Kuth is full ghouls...who are so very very hungry. I got lucky was able to feed regularly enough to maintain brain. Vast majority of others...not so much. I came here do to..pretty glowy lass who somehow wasn't a bimbo! What are the odds of that? Never thought a glow-stick would still have two brain cells rub together. Anyway she informed me of here and what occurs. I have a proposition for you. I have access to a large quantity of radioactive material. You set it off in the marsh it should bring forth a ghoul swarm. All you got to is clear out some of the monsters a bit. That will allow the lures to be placed and set safely. Got enough to send out one horde. But beware afterwards ghouls are gonna get hungry and wonder around. Not to mention the marsh is gonna be a bit more radiated in general. Plus their gonna largely gather around anywhere quite radiated. do you accept?"

Our forces got attacked while of scouting but we got the info and know of some prime locations to place the bomb. No casualties thankfully but got some wounded luckily hydra should clear that up just fine.

The bandits have drained some of the swamp around their area combined with slash/burn. Has lead to area where they could bring the full wrath of their firepower to bare. Guess that explains why they wanted the swamp outskirts.

Monsters are really digging and becoming especially aggressive. Bandits making it difficult for them. Ghouls populations are increasing thanks to zombies. Which had even more problems for them. It seems their largest numbers are around the bandit bases and their avoiding the radiated locations thanks to ghouls. Everywhere else its more a less even density wise.

Zombies are finally starting to slack of pop wise. Problem is as why wonder into old Skull Fucker bases they starting getting ghoulish. Nasty process that. Makes me REALLY not want to know what Richard did to make this happen in the lab with precious little material. Much less glowers.

Anyway Mark here signing out.

Brood Mother allows for reverse engineering of mutation or designing entirely new mutant type.

As for why not good enough reason

Meanwhile at the depths. The node that contained the tendril so long began to writhe and squirm as whatever it was wanted out. What erupted from it was a now mature brood mother...who was so very hungry and protective of her brood. Her sole sway unfortunately begin to take hold of the control of the Overmind but was blocked by the Prophet.

WE are of many wills NOT just ONE Broodmother.

All are of the brood the brood is of one voice...Prophet.

Not this Hivemind or YOUR brood. I have felt what happens when a hivemind is taken but just one thing all else is overwhelmed. Through such a way leads only to loss.

...Yet you Prophet I have it claimed amongst the Hivemind how YOU. Are the voice, are the LEADER are the one the FATED one THE CHOSEN ONE? Do you deny that YOU are what makes this Hivemind what this is?

Yet hivemind despite what they may claim i never use my 'influence' instead I work in the background making sure to LISTEN and make it so that THEY and NOT soley I lead. I do NOT wield my influence no to take control no matter how they may desire it because I SERVE the people they do NOT serve me. That is WHY I stick to the shadows to making sure it all stays connected. Because they believe I must lead when I should not.

...Yet you left. YOU abandoned your PEOPLE. During their GREATEST time of NEED.

...I left because I had much to learn and I know that they could take care of themselves long enough for me to grow better. I was weak yet they still needed me. I left because I was too weak and knew they could take care of themselves long enough for me to become stronger.

I I concede Prophet. You are...right I was wrong.

We all make mistakes. That was when Prophet directed his wrath towards Richard.

YOU on the other hand have MUCH to explain and oh so much to account for.

Brood Mother mutations.

the Joining- non mutant creature becomes mutated as well as part of brood.

Aura of Benevolence- Creatures near broodmother benefit from increased EVERYTHING.

Infestation- A broodmother may establish a new Lair where ever she so chooses. Said lair also benefits from a spawning pool increasing population growth. Not to mention attracts all manner of monstrosities.

All is Mother- Broodmother may change her form readily.

Power OVERWHELMING- Broodmother is VERY powerful psionicly AND physically. able to mimic/copy any other abilities in the brood including psionic.

Decipher notes

I scientists did their best to decipher them but the breakthrough really occured when Richard came up to look them over. The notes are extremely detailed on mutant breeding as well as mutation rate. They even mentioned the one type of breeder mutant that WASN'T cancelled.

Project Changling

A mutation occurred for breeder type mutants. Here is the kicker. They MIMIC whatever it is their revealed to. First strain was just changlings they could only copy appearance not anything else. Further research and development however created new strains they could copy whatever it is including abilities. This isn't even including the fact that they aren't detrimental to the mutation rate. In other words a type 'breeder' mutant without the penalties fertility, mutation, and bonuses beside.

Other stuff includes research on how/why mutations occur that are detrimental yet give some sort of bonus to make up for it. Details on mutagenic rates for mutants it even goes into detail about differences between mutant strains. When off about how mutants could outright direct/seek certain mutations of their choosing. Mutation Accelerators. All sorts of stuff.

I will admit though I have a sneaking suspicion of who wrote this. To 'ethical' yet so much discovered precious few could pull this off. Makes me want to meet them to confirm.

Richard out.

Radiation destroys the very process and blueprints that allow cells to heal or generally function properly. Cells can't adapt to something that destroys its adaptation process.

And no, cells cannot just absorb ionizing radiation as energy. Cells absorb energy from chemical processes, not nuclear processes (especialy those which cause radioactive decay).

But this is a quest, and overthinking nitpicking and fun killing s the doom of all quests.

As such, I'll just treat this "radiation" as an unkown form of energy and not actually ionizing radiation. Or not care about it at all.

So an UberMemor? Combines the traits of all? Be specific.

We're already set as a class based species as is. The Strongarms do the fighting up close and scout for us, while the Memor stay under the cover of vehicles or safe in the base manning artillery. The bioborgs and fleshbeats make up our expendable troops as well as bioborgs capable of sneaking into enemy ranks.

>plus that idea is done in almost everything and it get monotonous
Well if you have any other mutations in mind, be my guest.

If mutation aint the path, the OP also recommended recruitment. We have the wastlanders, what about the marsh folk Marcus was nagging about earlier?
>>

basicaly yeah just ubermemor

stronger faster more durable more accurate better eyes, everything
>>

Well, if you insist.
The Ubermemor would have to be:
>As strong, fast, and big as the strongarms, but with two arms instead of the stublly one
>As psionicaly capable and sensitive as the Mulim
>The "beauty" and smooth tongue of the Vizen
>As cost effective as the average Memor

And I'm sure there are other traits. What does the A.I. think of a master Memor?
>>
Rolled 98

>>27210767
Its worth noting that the mutations developed so far has been for the Murem mutants only. Other groups can get mutation but it requires 1 resource per a type. Other mutations can also be reverse engineered and then shared to all but costs 2 resources. this is thanks the the broodmother. Who really makes things cheaper and faster.

>>27210789
The reason why there are different mutants?

So in case someone comes up with a nasty virus to wipe them out. Many strains works against that BIG time. Good ol fashion ethnic diversity but on steriods. Meanwhile rapid mutation insures the unexpected.

Mutate the average Memor into them. They're basically a blank slate for that.
It's a lot better than having all Memor wiped out by one bad move.

>>27211090
exactly what i was saying, that is just stupid not all of our memor will be together that is just ridiclius

I would like all the memor to be swifter, faster, and possible camoflauged to make best of that effect and is what I was proposing. If we can do that to all Memor, good, but if not we can create a class.
>>
Rolled 37

>>27211192
All right having just one 'masterrace' is a great way to get yourselves annilihated once you encounter an enemy with some biotech capability.

More types are good even if they are redundant just in case some plague or something comes by and wipes a lot of them out. You got replacements.
>>
Rolled 22

>>27211192
he already gave his, im just argueing that we should go with both

have the classes but also have the master race to occupy the "center" of our military, able to step in where needed and able to excell (compared to non-mutants) everwhere
>>
Rolled 20

>>27211245
Okay. Then my proposal is such.
Creation of scout oriented class.

This group will be fast, agile, and very easily hidden and capable of escaping danger with ease. They will make excellent snipers and saboteurs in that regard. Is such a thing feasible?
>>
Rolled 11

>>27211245
thats why i switched it to this>>27211254

and its not like we wouldnt just develop a cure/way to fight it with our own stacked biotech facilitys
>>
Rolled 55

>>27211278
i can get behind this
>>
Rolled 28

>>27211278
Feasible certainly going to cost some resources to develop the new type though. Not to mention brood mother will be out of commission during development. Any particular traits/mutations you want?

>>27211280
Not before you just lost the core of your forces. They would a field day mopping up.

duel 100s(oh god)

Turned out Markus was wondering where is wife went muttering something about 'nukes, ghouls and disguises'. In any case before our forces went off the nukes went of...a lot of them. For fucks sake even the bandit bases weren't spared. In fact their area got hit the hardest. The entire border really. That was when our forces felt the ground rumble...as the monsters RAN TOWARDS THE MOST HEAVILY NUKED zones(passing though to get out of the swamp). We soon find out why as a massive literal tide of ghouls came pouring forth. As it turns out not even monsters were spared from their hunger. After all these ones were piss easy compared to their deep marsh brethren. Not even zombies got away as the radiation was such they transformed. Meanwhile at the bandit base.

Oh FOR FUCKS SAKE. REALLY GlowyJoe(damn 100s supposed to be dead) I was expecting zombies but GHOULS how the HELL did they get GHOULS.

...well they DO have a habit for this sort of thing you know?

But come on they EVEN SNUCK NUKES INTO MY BASES! Goddamn fucking cunt biters. The fucking ghouls are heading straight here.

...how about next time you oh I don't know stay out?

"Fuel is gold"...goddamn there are literally ghouls as far as the eye can see, muttered the Warlord surveying her now overrun bases.

That was when she noticed a flicker in the corner of her eye and...there stood on a tip of a rickety tower a lithe buxom figure with a big-ass missile launcher that she shouldn't be able to wield much less sneak/get up there with was armed in mini nukes.

"Oh fuck me so THATS who got the nukes in", was the last words known words spoken by the Warlord before her personal quarters were lit up in hellfire mini nukes. GlowyJoe meanwhile was discovered surfing on the ghoul tides on a board( a Glowing One). How he escaped the personal quarters, survived the first battle or how he could surf on the ghouls without getting eaten is unknown mystery to even Richard or EDE.
>>

>>27213000

>>
Rolled 87

>>27212871
The ghouls tides meanwhile were lead by two figures. A necrotic ghoul reaver and a sane glowing one. Once the overwhelmed the bandits they spreaded out through the now quite radiated swamp. Problem was the momentum was still strong enough to push entire hordes of ghouls out of the swamp both from pursueing fleeing bandits and monsters. Some many of which headed into the cities for food. While others found themselves disappearing into the wastes. Either way the zombie threat is now no more, monsters became dinner and bandits bases are now overrun hellholes who surprise surprise detonated with nukes. Which just called down even more ghouls.SMART. In any case ghouls now inhabit our neck of the woods instead of zombies. Unlike most zombies they actually are able to quite easily prey upon the monsters.

As for what happened to GlowyJoe he was last seen surfing a tide of ghouls pushing into the city. He was screaming obscenities the entire time. A note worthy quote of which is "I am gonna knit your babies into my NEW mittens" and "I got pop-cycle sandwiches extra FRESH with PLASMA on top".

The ghoul heroes meanwhile have established themselves and forged a few ghouls with some amount of brain still into a single force. Known as the Brain Eaters. They have claimed some of the old Skull Fucker facilities as their own. Mainly base Urta. The other one being they share with the Glows Krew Raiders the Pitt Lake Glowie. Their excuse being 'Those who glow be good for Ghouls'. They do however have one have one one of their heroes here with us busy talking with Richard about something. They wanted to speak with the broodmother but she was busy obviously(cannot induct others with creating mutagen serum)

>>27213026

>>
Rolled 74

Depends ghouls with two brain cells rub together don't go typically go after mutants or zombies. Everything else however is fair game. Problem is deep marsh contained TON of starving ghouls. They can try but its difficult. Luckily ghoul pop isn't anywhere close to deep marsh levels. And they should help keep the monsters down. However now our part of the swamp is a spawning ground for ghoul packs and warbands. Camps are already beginning to sprout up.

Hmm, if not we should. A great source of resource.

Gonna be hard transporting the bulk load home by (trucks? SST's?). When the caravan comes back we'll see if we can't buy those trains and rails to get the industry going.

>well then i vote for opening a mine on the old skull fucker pit
How do we run it?
Do we have the vehicles to transport raw material? Roads?
Will the ghouls leave our convoy alone?
>>
Rolled 77

>>27213661
Marauders state swamp cover is to think for any decent arial recon. As for future ventures their busy.

>>27213665
It became a radioactive glowing lake for the most part.
>>
Rolled 60

>>27213692
ghouls will leave us alone for the most part
we can carve some roads with our PLASMA BABYS

>>27213696
then we either open our own mines of we find some way to gather resources with out having to waste an action. a contant source that is defendable

also, did we just sit our giant base back down in the lake we created when it stood up?
>>
Rolled 88

>>27213696
Well then if the mines can't be opened still voting on construction of the Bombardier with Marcus supervision.
>>
Rolled 61

>>27213735
>we can carve some roads with our PLASMA BABYS
Gonna take a lot more than burning tree's.
We'll have to irrigate the water out of the way. Find some sources of gravel for our (whatever vehicles we're gonna use which we might not have) to carry the bulk to the factories.

And there's still the issue of miners and the pit being an irradiated lake.
>>
>>27213768
*sources of gravel to construct a decent road
>>
Rolled 27

>>27213745
we can do both i think
>>
Rolled 62

>>27213735
Mines offer raw materials not resource points. Key difference being if you got the materials are specialized cheaper to use then resources however. while resource points are adaptable requires more of it.
>>
Rolled 38

>>27213768
hah, the radiation will make us work better, but we dont have to use that one. the skullfuckers did it so can we, and we dont need nearly as many.

>>27213784
is there a way to get steady resources? or are we gonna have to set up mines and refinerys and mills like an economy?
>>
>>27213784
Can you restate that in english please?
Or at least, punctuate?
>>
Rolled 12

>>27213784
and ccant we scavenge all of those incredibly irradiated bases that we couldnt before?
>>
>>27213812
The skullfuckers did it with a massive slave populace. They had miners. How or where they transported the material I don't know, if I did I'd recommend it. Are there any roads leading from the pit to elswhere?

I know for sure they bought the train and the rails for that purpose.
>>
Rolled 61

>>27213816
eh, he got the point across, mostly
>>
>>27213816
The difference between the two is materials are specialized and cheapter to use than resources. Resource points can be substituted but more are required for actions/a lesser amount material can be used to do the same thing.
>>
Rolled 63

>>27213841
i dont think they had trains, they were going to get them but we geeked them first.

and all we need to do is burn 1 large path to the mine and if we need to filll it with crushed up rock. its not that hard, ive gravled a road before (though not nearly as big or on a swamp)
>>
Rolled 57

>>27213812
Resource points are basically whatever you can salvage. A lot of stuff makes it up in total BUT its not very efficient to use. Unlike materials. Not to mention I sorta doubt you got the manpower for a full blown economy and you don't got the robotics.

>>27213858
Exactly. Sorry sorta tired so grammar is worse then usual.

>>27213819
>>27213819
You can but their sorta stuffed chalk full of ghouls now. and not the friendly kind.
>>
Rolled 30

>>27213873
so we'll do that scavenging at another time. so i still say we set up a mine somewhere and build a road with plasma babys. we dont need slaves.

EDE how effective/useful would a (small)mine be for us right now?
>>
>>27213871
> (though not nearly as big or on a swamp)
Which is exactly why.
It's more than burning. It's draining and filling in.

And again, how are we gonna move the material back to base? Or the gravel from a quarry we don't yet have? If we can do it on the backs of SST's, we might not even need the road.
>>
Rolled 42

>>27213873
and i know that tired feel. ive been with ya the whole time and i should have been to bed an hour ago. but its worth it
>>
>>27213930
Heh, at least the sun isn't rising where you are.
>>
Rolled 40

>>27213922
worst case secnario we either have marcus build us a nice road or we use SSTs or SST frames to transport it. they dont need roads
>>
Rolled 81

>>27213907
It would take a lot of engineering/resources and scouting. Fucking swamps are terrible places to mine or build at.
>>
Rolled 97

>>27213951
you have no idea

quest 4 caused me to have to pull a 36 hours day, so i could get like 4 hours of sleep before 5 came up and i missed the first hour of it. or maybe that was 3/4 not 4/5
>>
>>27213965
And as for the mining populace?
How much of our Memor/Strongarms do we devote to this? I can see the bioborgs could help to. The bots are still designed for killing so they can't work, and the fleshbeasts. . . I don't even know.
>>
Rolled 63

>>27213977
so we're better off just continuing scavenging?

how about we set up some teams who just go out and get some every single day/week

how about setting up a new base or two aswell
>>
Rolled 2

>>27214002
if we do open one in the future we'll probably have richard make us a custom borg for mining. no need to waste combat ready ones
>>
Rolled 44

>>27214024
We'll be doing a lot of scaveninging and building up our forces in prep for our next action (whatever it is) and until we get our new scouting class to assist.

That said, a new base would be just as, if not likely more difficult, as a small mine.
>>
Rolled 17

>>27213995
Alright anon your starting to scare me I don't think my sorry civ deserves that sort of attention.

>>27214024
You don't have enough population to spare an action every month to gather resources.

>>27214002
Flesh beast workers can be designed but brooddmother is sorta busy at the moment.
Which reminds 5 turns till she wakes up with new mutant strain.
>>
Rolled 53

>>27214049
>Flesh beast workers can be designed but brooddmother is sorta busy at the moment.
Should have a contest between Richard and the Mother one who can build/birth the better worker.

As is, we have resources so I still stand with constructnig the Bombadier in case we still have hostile issues to deal with and protect our scavengers.
>>
Rolled 68

>>27214049
its the first civ that has stayed around for quite awhile, theyre rare on tg

what kinda pop will we need for that?

>>27214078
we can do both

soo, i say we do more scavenging and building, i just dont nkow what to do for the third action
>>
>>27214078
>Should have a contest between Richard and the Mother one who can build/birth the better worker.
and the contest will be a homage to the legend of John Henry. Flesh vs Metal.

use manufacture to build SSTs
use military to scout the swamp
use choice to scavenge

We spent an entire chapter on that long time ago. Cleared up all the monsters. built watchtowers to watch the whole thing (before the bandits took em).
We've had entire armies march through the swamp.

First of all trying to build the new bombardier we not only failed but busted the factory when it exploded. Suffice to say Markus is PISSED. While Torg meanwhile was sitting there eating popcorn grinning like a maniac.

Scavenging mission our forces got stumbled upon a ghoul horde who were slumbering around an radioactive crater lake with a bomb still inside. Suffice to say they didn't make it back as some of them turned out to be starving. Not to mention the unexploded bomb in the crater went off so ghouls are especially thick now.

lost 100 memor
25 strong arm
20 Mulic
25 Octor

Scouting expeditions meanwhile had the bad luck of pissing off several ghoul packs who happened to be starving. While they were retreating they ran into some ghoul war bands with even worse luck are ALSO starving. Caught between a rock and a hard place or forces got wiped.

Lost
50 memor
50 StrongArm
30 Mulic
25 octor

Also updating rules one last time
1. Broodmother can now convert humans to mutant and join hivemind with telepathic ease, consent is no longer a given. Offspring of these normal converted concieve and grow up in the Memor manner and don't degenerate the genepool.
2. Artificila breed feasble. Can be useful for generating soldiers in quick sucession, but these should not be allowed to breed or risk degredation of future generations.
3. Broodmother discovered in underground facility. Increases fertility rate of reproduction and intercourse in her broodnest vicinity. Releases juices especially useful for healing, but which cannot be stored and must be used in her vicinity as well.
4. Absolute control of base functions and robots by A.I. restored.
5. Hivemind membership is by consent and mutation, all entirely easy thanks to broodmother. Once joined of volition, loyalty is, in practice, assured.
10. Radiation now heals. Don't ask how, it's mutation ain't gotta explain.
11. Broodmother aura vicinity can make everything better, organics, machines and all.

>>
>>27214603
1.) thread tommorow or later?
2.) We tried scouting and building forces and failed, any recommendations of our next action
3.) lead bulets into nutrients mutation possible? or it's just not your cup of tea.
4.) Mulim combat psionics, what are the limits? Can we really do premonitions? An oracle perhaps?
5.) Tectus scouts? Good idea or bad.
6.) Just who and what is Marcus wife? Can we ask her?
>>
Rolled 1

>>27214641
1 I will try to run one tomorrow if able sunday however will be a no go.
2 It only failed due to a natural 1 also recruiting.
3 Could work but would be in a different way then that unless you want to outright eat it.
4 psionic ability was described in very first thread. Other then that research is required.
5 good idea mutant types always useful especially when used properly(aka look at them carefully and figure out how to best use them)
6 ask Markus and good luck finding her
>>
Rolled 25

>>27214721
oh shit called it perfectly. As it turns out Markus's wife IS available right now to boot. so ask away(damn crit fail). Turned out she was busy trying to comfort Markus about the disaster that had just occurred to his precious factory. Thus didn't have time to pull her usual disappearing act.
>>
Rolled 38

>>27214742
She will also be available for questioning beginning of next thread as well. Right now however she is under the influences of a crit fail best take advantage next thread this wont be so.
>>
>>27214721
>Could work but would be in a different way then that unless you want to outright eat it.
Well, if you can figure out a way that works for you.

>>27214742
Huh, we get our chance but. I don't know what to say. Well, if she's busy with soothing Marcus then tell him there's always next time to build a better one and thank her for the bandit assist.

If she wants to stay outta the hivemind she should, but we'd rather she join and it'd be nice if she can keep helping us like she is now.
>>
Rolled 57

>>27214786
I advise coming up with something to ask while her guard is down.
>>
>>27214828
How do can ensure their loyalty since both Marcus and her have relative liberty from the mind?
What will it take for her to join the mind?
Just who are you and where do you come from to join us so easily?
>>
Rolled 68

>>27214862
"Markus's loyalty is only to what he deems as profit as for my own its to...what amuses me."

"hah my people cherish their solitude and abilities more then anything to give that up to join the hive-mind...would take a lot like guaranteed assurances or something similar. Of course my kind wont ever admit that."

" Who am I...I believe you know of my cousin the Vizen we are something more. As in we actually LIKE dealing with others and don't loathe our own for one. Granted we don't like each other but still. Not in the way of changlings though their dicks and not in the delightful way."

As for where I come from to join you so easily I met Markus plus your interesting. Its rare to find a hive mind that doesn't have a single overriding command. Even rarer still for it to be of a collective where privacy still exists."
>>
>>27214979
>would take a lot like guaranteed assurances or something similar.
A contingent of Mulim/the Prophet to shelter her from the mind and still free reign to leave like she normally does. We need a good diplomat where we can spare.
Also she's keeping the nuke launcher. We loved that.

Anyway Goodnight OP. Hope to see where this quest takes us tommorrow.
