Last Time On AGE QUEST!: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Gundam+AGE+Quest

Check my twitter for when the next game is and possible delays: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Dirk Crocker and you’ve had a rough couple of days. A couple hours ago the Luna Base was lost and you were shot by Zeheart (Again). Then you ran into the Magicians 8 on the way to the Colony of Solon and were in a bit of a pickle, thankfully Vice Admiral Flit and the Magnificent 7 arrived on the scene to give you a hand.

The Diva and the Amadeus are now docked at the Solon Colony and will be there until the Dagon arrives to help transport all the Adele Wears and other equipment to Big Ring due to the destruction of most of the supply transports at the hands of the Magicians 8.

So the bad news is you’re stuck at the Solon Colony for a while, but the good news it you’re stuck at the Solon colony with nothing to do! You have shore leave! You have 12 hours to do whatever you want (as long as you don’t get totally shitfaced of course, then the Captain will kill you). There is a lot to do in only a couple hours, so managing your time might be a wise idea.

List of Stuff you can do (Additional things added from the suggestions in Part 50)
>-Go drinking with Woolf and the gang
>-Report to Admiral Asuno on the status on the nanotech project
>-Chat with Desil, he did just kill one of his siblings in the last battle
>-Ask Obright more about the weird unfrozen “Professor” he mentioned
>-Acquire Flashbags and maybe some explosives since you suck at using guns
>-Put some gadgets into MID!
>-Other Stuff

So what do you plan to do Dirk?
>>
>>27244124
Get some personal defense grenades, and talk to Flit and Desil in that order. Then, ask Rena if she'd like to go out on the town with the rest of the Woolf Pack.
>>
>>27244124
> -Report to Admiral Asuno on the status on the nanotech project.
Let's get the important stuff out of the way first.
>>
>>27244181
Seeing as how your inability to shot straight has gotten you shot at least twice now, you decide it's time you get some grenades to even the playing field a bi.
You go down to the ships armory to request some grenades for personal defense. Normally such a thing would be pretty ridiculous, asking for grenades rather then a side arm, however since they're non-lethal and since you've been hospitalized twice for being a shitty shot, you manage to get them pretty easily.

ITEMS RECEIVED
>Flash Grenade x5
>Rubber Pellet Grenade x5

>>27244196
You then go over to the Diva and find Admiral Flit in his quarters. You inform him about his experiments and hand over the data for them.

"This is very good. Liz has had promising results as well. I think with this data we'll be able to miniaturize the Photon Blaster Cannon and Ring Ray for the upcoming battle." Flit says, more speaking his mind then informing you.

"I'm glad I could help. Let me know if you need me for anything else." You say and leave his quarters, feeling quite accomplished all the while wondering what the "Ring Ray" Flit mentioned was.

After getting the important stuff out of the way you decide it's finally time to kick back and relax! You wander around the Amadeus looking for Rena, hoping that she'll want to go out for a drink. While you do so you run into Uncle Desil, who doesn't look too good...

"Hey Uncle Desil are you alri-"

"I don't want to talk about it." He says, brushing past you.

"I'll take that as a no..."

What do you wish to do Dirk? Leave Desil be for now and go to find Rena or confront Desil about what happened and how he's feeling after he killed one of his siblings.
>>
>>27244632
"Hey, if you need anything, let me know, alright? I'll try to help anyway I can."
Then pat him with your MID arm, because you forgot you had a cybernetic arm.
>>
>>27244632
"Okay. Just remember that I'm here if you ever decide you do. I'll see you later, Uncle."

And then we go find Rena. Sure, things have been going to shit, lately, but that doesn't mean we can't have at least a little time for relaxing.
>>
>>27244711
Only for Hunter to show up. And then Zeheart.
>>
>>27244698
This is the only response that can be taken.
>>
>>27244698
How obvious is our MID arm? It's clearly artificial, but how much does its silhouette look like an organic limb? We can fit it in the sleeve of our pilot suit, so it can't be too big, but it could still look pretty angular and mechanical.
>>
>>27244853
That's why we have grenades. Seriously, we need to start dropping those at the first sign of trouble. I'm sick of being shot. There's only so much MID can put us back together. The moment we sense even the slightest bit of hostility, we throw a flashbang at the person we're talking too. We'll tell MID to be on the lookout, too. Everything will be met with grenades.
>>

419 KB
419 KB JPG
>>27244989
Apparently it's pretty obvious that it's artificial. It looks like an impressive replacement that could rip someone's head clean off, and considering how MID looked like a smaller version of SID, it's probably pretty angular and mechanical. Plus, MID's eye is currently located on the back of our hand, and it's glowing.

>>27245027
Speaking of sensing stuff, it's weird how we didn't sense that Zeheart was going to shoot us. I guess Dirk's precognition powers suck, or Zeheart's unique X-Rounder power is confusing and misleading his enemies.
>>
>>27245104
Dirk has pretty much no precognitive powers. Or rather, he has the strongest precognition to the point that it's overwhelming and useless. That's what the glasses are there for. It's why we're only using funnels for shields instead of all-range attacks, because he doesn't have the reaction times needed to use them at long distances.
>>
>>27245158
True. Though he doesn't have a problem with controlling those shield bits at 10% of his power. And speaking of which, did we turn the glasses back on? I think suddenly sensing Dirk's X-Rounder pressure would be enough to get Desil's attention, if the robot arm doesn't cut it.
>>
>>27244698
"Alright, alright. Just call me if you want to talk Uncle Desil!" You yell after him, waving your MID arm as Desil walks down the hall and disappears out of sight.

You wander a bit more and find Rena in her quarters, having just changed into a new set of fatigues.

"Hey Rena, wanna join Woolf and the others for some drinks?" You ask.

"No thanks. Booze makes me angry and...crazy. I'd rather get something to eat. You like Chinese?"

"I like anything that's not Pancakes." You state.

"Good, because I know this nice Chinese food place here on Solon. It's not exactly high class and it's a bit shady, but the food is to die for." Rena says as the two of you begin to head for the exit.

As you enter the hanger to grab a few things from your suit a white Zeydra glides into the hanger and lands directly in front of you and Rena.

"Oh no..." Rena says, eyes wide.

"What is it? Don't tell me you have some kind of female counterpart to Zeheart trying to kill you!" You say, expecting the worse and reaching for one of your grenades.

"No it's much worse then that..." Rena says putting a hand to her face as the head cockpit of the Zeydra opens up, and a handsome blond boy steps out.

"Rena, my love!" He exclaims, repelling down from the Zeydra.

"It's my fiancee..." Rena says the last part with gritted teeth as Hunter Olfenoa approaches the two of you with a bouquet of roses.

"I thought I wouldn't catch you in time! I came all the way here-"

"To gloat about the suit you bought or borrowed in order to try and impress me? Yeah I can see that" Rena says bluntly.

"W-what? I didn't buy this suit I took it after I captured and enemy X-Rounder alive!" Hunter says, quite surprised that Rena saw through his 'clever' ploy.

"You want to tell him or should I Dirk?" Rena asks.

Well?
>>
>>27245820
> How'd you know this joker would be showing up in the Zedyra?
>>
>>27245820
"...fiancee? Oh, right. I guess I should be going then. See you around."
>>
>>27245820
>> How'd you know this joker would be showing up in the Zedyra?
>>
>>27245820
"Rena, why do you doubt that he managed to subdue an X-Rounder? He has the Zeydra to prove it. You didn't doubt that I had captured Zeheart back when we were working on reverse-engineering his Zeydra together. I'm sure this is a similar situation. Look, it even has a similar customized cockpit setup to Zeheart's. Neat. I guess the X-Rounder you took out must have been pretty good then, Hunter."
>>
>>27245860
>>27246091

"How did you know this guy would show up in the Zeydra?" You ask quite concerned.

"I didn't but considering your the only one who's captured a Zeydra so far, and Hunter is the only person in the galaxy who paints his suit egg white and royal blue, I pieced one and one together pretty fast. That and Hunter is pretty predictable, he's too incompetent to do anything himself" Rena says with a shrug.

"P-predictable? I-Incompetant? I'm standing right he-"

"Sssh, the adults are talking." Rena states.

>>27245906
"So you and him are...engaged?" You ask.

"Our parents 'engaged' us. I didn't show up to any of the legal proceedings or ceremonies. If my parents could marry me without me having to be at the wedding they would have done it by now." Rena explains as Hunter just sits there, looking rather hurt by what's coming out of Rena's mouth.

"B-but Rena I thought we were in love?" Hunter asks, lower lip quivering.

"No! You were the only person who thought that Hunter! I've told you, written you, emailed you, texted you, fucking TELEGRAPHED you that I don't hold any feelings for you! What do I have to do for you to get that I'm not cool with the whole arranged marriage thing!" Rena yells, obviously very, very frustrated.

"Is this some kind of joke or test? I don't understand..." Hunter frowns and seems to be very confused. He plays with the roses he got for Rena nervously as he speaks.

Rena snaps her fingers, as if realizing what to do. She turns to you, grabs the back of your head, and pulls you into a kiss. She then proceeds to violently make out with you, pulling out of the kiss to yell at Hunter

"See? This is a sign of affection! Now I'm going to take him and make out on the floor of a dirty, filthy Chinese restaurant while we wait for our take out!" Rena begins to tug on you, trying to get you to leave with her, while Hunter just stands there, looking dumb founded and even more lost then before.

What the hell are you going to do now Dirk?
>>
>>27246161
>Bring him with us.

He'll level the entire base if we don't.
>>
>>27246161
The Dirk OS must reboot on it's way to takeout.
>>27246210
And we'll level him, it's likely he doesn't know how to use a Zeydra well.

Think of what Chink Food we want, and ask for seconds I ain't talking about the food.

Maybe we can get some Ice Cream afterward.
>>
>>27246161
...man, I feel sorry for the guy.

"Whoa, Rena, wait a second. Calm down, Jesus. Would someone tell me what the fuck is going on?"

>>27246270
Probably. He's not an X-Rounder, or he'd already be in her team.
Though I'd like to see Hunter and Akito as rivals, considering how Akito hates Zeheart and everything that has something to do with him.
>>
>>27246210
Doesn't stop an amateur from breaking down in his cockpit and firing ALL THE LASERS in the hangar.
>>
>>27246161
"We should talk ,I'd like to hear the story about how you got your hands on my Zeydra. We'll leave that for later, though. I think Rena's likely to tear my arm off if I don't start moving, which is unpleasant no matter how easily it pops back into the connector port."
>>
>>27246210
Seconding this. Hunter has a Zeydra, and he seems pretty cool for comic relief. Best he learns how to use the thing properly so he can be an asset during the defense of Big Ring.
>>
>>27246434
Heh. I just imagined Rena ripping off MID and looking at the cyborg arm wondering what the fuck happened, while Dirk's just standing there.
"So yeah, I probably should've mentioned, I'm a cyborg. I'm also a X-Rounder."
>>
>>27246466
The comic relief guy is also the son of the richest and most powerful man in the entire Federation.
We already have the supreme commander of the enemy forces hating our guts, I don't want to see what this dude could unleash on us if we screw this up.
>>
>>27246570
Think of it this way: If his dad hates us, it just gives us another excuse to be Space Pirates.
>>
>>27246570
The richest and most powerful man in the entire Federation who will be either dead or deposed within a few months. Everyone's gunning for Olfenoa. Not that we know that in character, but we're probably fairly safe from him.
>>
>>27246570
Flit is going to take care of the Dad eventually, I don't see any issues.
>>
>>27246329
"Rena calm the hell down! What the fuck is going on!?" You demand refusing to budge until you figure out what in the world is going on.

Rena stops and lets out a heavy sigh. "OK, his name is Hunter Olfenoa, he's the son of the president of the Federation. He's a rich, stupid, doormat I can't stand to be around and also the person my parents engaged me too a couple of months ago. I refused to marry him and joined the Magnificent 7 so I would become too important for my parents to force me out or bribe my CO. However, he STILL doesn't understand that I can't stand him, that's why I made out with you"

>>27246210
>>27246466
"Alright. Lets take him with us to the Chinese restaurant with us then" Say

"Really?" Hunter asks, his face lighting up like a kid asked if he wants to go out for ice cream.

"What? NO!" Rena shouts.

"Do you have any money?" You ask.

"...No."

"Nether do I. So Hunter can buy us dinner why we talk about this whole arrange marriage stuff. " You say, motioning for Hunter to tag along only for MID to come off in Rena's hands.

"Yeahhhhhh, and we'll talk about that too." You add as the three of you leave the Diva and travel to the Chinese restaurant. It's cramped, dirty, the people working their are loud and rude, and the two only other people eating their look like they're aspiring drug dealers.

You order some General Tso's chicken with a side of chicken fried rice, and Rena gets some dumplings. Hunter just orders some white rice and tofu and the three of you sit in silence for a little while.

What do you want to talk about/ask them Dirk?
>>
>>27246671
"Well, just to get the elephant out of the way: Hunter, where did you get that Zeydra and why do I have a feeling that my sister was involved somehow?"
>>
>>27246671
"So... How were your last couple of days?"
>>
>>27246671
This >>27246712
Also,
>some white rice and tofu
>tofu
What a fuckin' little bitch, can we airlock him?
>>
>>27246797
No. Give him some slack, he's a rich boy. Chinese Food is probably a new and frightening thing to him.
When we're done, Hunter Olfenoa will be one of the best MS Pilots in the Federation
>>
>>27246671
First, explain the cyborg arm.
"Rena, about the arm: When Zeheart escaped, I happened to be in his way. Somehow he had gotten an anti-armor rifle, and in the struggle to disarm him he got off a shot that pulped my arm. Luckily, MID came to the rescue. In addition to tearing out Zeheart's eye and what I'm pretty sure were his testicles, MID also apparently has medical subroutines that he'd never had cause to use before. It's a bit weird, but we're getting used to it. And I can't say it isn't cool to have my right hand robot literally be my right hand robot."

Give MID a high five, then talk with Hunter.

"Look, Hunter, I don't know you. I can't really comment on the issues between you and Rena, but this sounds like it's been going on for a while. Why are you still pursuing her? I know she's pretty awesome, but it also seems like she's made her feelings clear. Does it have to do with the dynastic aspect of the marriage and you're worried about letting your families down or something like that?"

>>27246797
No. Keep your damn guard up.
>>
>>27246970
Yeah, the dude is probably a secluded kid who has no idea how the world works, considering how he's the son of the Prime minister and a famous actress (or whatever his mom is). For all we know, his family's (and Rena's) could have monitored and influenced their entire relationship, altering messages, feeding each other lies and who knows what else. This is probably the first time they've come face to face.
>>
>>27247032
"Rena, about the arm: When Zeheart escaped, I happened to be in his way. Somehow he had gotten an anti-armor rifle, and in the struggle to disarm him he got off a shot that pulped my arm. "So...MID is your hand and he can hear everything we're saying?" Rena asks.

"Yep!" MID replies cheerfully.

"Well that's...weird. All I have to say is you better not be recording this or what I said back in the hanger." Rena says with a glare.

"Oh no, no, MID can't do anything like that..." you then proceed to high give MID because he CAN do stuff like that.

You then turn to Hunter. "Listen, Hunter, I don't know you so I really don't have a good grasp of the issues between you and Rena, but why haven't you gotten the fact that she's not interested in you? I mean you seem like a half-decent, none stalker-ish guy, so are you refusing to let go because of your family and their honor or something like that?"

"Huh? No, I didn't know that Rena didn't feel the way I do about her. All her messages seemed pretty nice and all the times I met her I thought she was just in a bad mood." Hunter explains.

"Pretty nice? Hunter did you actually get any of my messages?" Rena asks.

"Yeah, I printed all the transcripts out and put them into this book so I wouldn't forget any of the stuff you sent me." Hunter says, pulling a small leather bound book from his coat pocket and handing it over.

Rena flips through it and lets out a groan. "My parents changed all of my messages to this sappy....god this is tripe. They must have hired a team of those writers who write that sappy teen drama crap."

(Cont)
>>
>>27247508
"S-so all of the messages in there..."

"Were manufactured by my parents. I doubt there is more then a handful of words I actually put to paper in the hundred some odd pages here..." Rena say, handing the book back to Hunter.

"Oh..." Hunter frowns and puts the book back into his pocket.

"So now you know that Rena isn't OK with the whole arranged marriage?" You ask and Hunter nods.

"Yes, I understand, but we can't just split up. I mean my parents wouldn't be very happy if that happened and your parents wouldn't be ether. Besides, it's ungentlemanly for a man to break off a relationship with a women he's engaged too" Hunter explains, not looking too happy at the realization the girl he's been engaged to for nearly a year wants nothing to do with him.

"Why don't we keep doing what we're doing then? It's worked so far." Rena asks.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Hunter asks.

"You keep showing me all that love and affection, and I keep ignoring you and sending you death threats. My parents can't marry us if I avoid you and them like the plague. Besides, if your Dad gets pissed and sends my parents to the Moon or something, that just works out for me." Rena says as the food arrives and everyone begins to dig in.

Now what do you want to talk/ ask about? Hunter's choice in food, the Zeydra, his military experience?
>>
>>27247660

You decide to ask Hunter a couple of questions, the first regarding his food.

"Hey Hunter, why did you order Mapo Tofu and Rice? I mean we're at a perfectly good Chinese restaurant. I mean if you're Vegan they have perfectly good vegetable dishes." You say, looking over his rather bland food.

"Well, to be perfectly honest I've only had Chinese food once before this and I'm kind of a picky eater. I tend to only eat specific things when we go out to eat. My Dad and Mom joke that for someone so cultured, I have the taste buds of a degenerate." Hunter admits.

"Tell you what, when you finish your food how about you try some of my General Tso's? Trust me Hunter you can't eat the same thing you're whole life, you'll lose your mind." You say, trying not to think of pancakes.

"OK." He smiles and nods.

"So Hunter, how did you get that Zeydra exactly?"

"Oh I bought it off a merchant. My Dad gave me some money to build or purchase a mobile suit for my military graduation. I told the man I wanted a Zeydra. A day or so later he came back with one! I gave him my money and had it modified and painted up." Hunter explains. "It's super cool! I'm sorry about lying earlier, I didn't want to come off like a weakling by saying I bought my suit. All the best pilots have theirs built from scratch, steal them from the enemy, or make it themselves"

"It's alright, but did you get the name of this merchant? Where did he say he got it from?" You ask.

"That was his name, or at least what everyone calls him. 'The Merchant' didn't say where he got it from. I just assumed he traded or found it or something. You didn't sell it to him did you?" Hunter asks curiously.

"No, but I think I might know who did. Anyway, you said you just graduated from a Military Academy?"

"Yeah! I'm part of the Next Generation Soldier Program." Hunter says with a proud smile.

"What kind of field experience do you have?" You ask.

"None." Hunter states simply.

"Huh? What do you mean? You had to have done some live exercises or practices while you were in the academy." You say, giving him a suspicious look.

"The Next Generation Soldier Program is a special 18 year program. From birth me and a test group of 200 other candidates were put through advanced VR Simulations including small arms operation, driving, flying, bomb disposal, military conduct, and most importantly mobile suit piloting" Hunter explains, finishing the last of his tofu and deciding to try some of your Chicken.

"So you've never been on a mission before? or actually piloted a mobile suit till recently?" You asked.

"No, not really. But I've had training that's basically the same. It may have all be simulations, but they were realistic in every way." Hunter says, nippling at the chicken.

"Yeah, but you don't get hurt in VR do you?" You say with a frown.

"No, but there's pain and even a sense of reality and urgency. The only difference is that it's not actually happening. Besides I've been trained to operate mobile suits before I could read. Even if my VR Training isn't perfect, it's given me skills that are unmatched by any conventional training methods. It's the length of the training, not the type that matters right? I'm sure with some combat experience I'll be an ace in no time...right?"

Well Jake, what do you think about the sound of this "Next Generation Soldier Program?"
>>
>>27248424

>>
>>27248626
>It's the length of the training, not the type that matters right? I'm sure with some combat experience I'll be an ace in no time...right?"
You can't think like that. I mean, I'm not dismissing or bashing your piloting skills, but there's a difference between it and real combat. I've seen people pull the craziest shit out of their ass, done things so far out of left field. You need to be able to adapt and innovate on the fly.
Tell you what, when we get back want to get out the paintball gear if we have time and see if we can get you some Live Fire practice?"
>>
>>27248626
Yeah, no.

AIs have patterns, and make utterly rational choices based on all available information.

People are are nasty, chaotic bastards, that don't make rational decisions and break out of patterns all the time.
>>
>>27248626
Once again, you confuse our protagonist's name. We haven't been Jake for a while. Oh, Crosswire. Never change.

Anyway, as for his training:
"Sounds like it could work. You'd have to be careful the first few sorties to adapt between VR and the real thing, but you've got a leg up on the average fresh pilot. Only real flaw I can see would be that VR can't accurately simulate the accelerations you go through in combat, so high-mobility melee combat would be a risk until you've learned to compensate."

After a bit more chat, we should break this conversation off. We came here to hang with Rena, not Hunter. Just because he turned out to be actually kind of nice and just horribly lied to doesn't mean we should pay more attention to him than to our girl.
>>
>>27248626
"That actually sounds like it could improve training a lot. Learn controls, get familiar with how the suit handles, all that."

"But it's not the same thing. When you're piloting in a VR, you know you're safe. The worst thing that could happen is that you lose a game and get an electroshock. When you're piloting in real life, you can die. People you care about can die. It's fucking frightening. Each time you sortie, there's the chance you're not coming back. And dealing with that fear isn't something a VR can help you with."
>>
>>27248687
(Sorry, I mean Dirk.)

>>27248626
"So are you an X-Rounder?" You ask.

"I scored pretty high on my X-Rounder aptitude simulations, but I don't really think they've developed to the point I can use them." Hunter says. "Another part of the Next Generation Soldier Program is the analysis of each candidates strengths and weaknesses. Instead of giving each person the same standardized training, they customize each candidates later training to encourage the development of their most prominent skills while helping to round out what they struggle with." Hunter explains.

>>27248721
>>27248687

"Listen kid, on the battle field things aren't as predictable as they are in a VR simulation. People are far from rational or logical in a fight, they will do fucked up and surprising things to win. You need to be adaptable, looking for patterns isn't going to cut it. In VR they may be able to make you feel the pain of a gunshot through electrodes, but dealing with blood lose, G-force stresses, and sheer trauma isn't something VR can properly simulate. Sure, thinking war is a video game will stop you from being scared in combat situations, but it's that fear that stops you from fucking up and dying." You say, trying not to sugar coat things. "Still, even with you lacking field experience if you say you've been training from birth in essential combat skills, then you have be at least well rounded in descent in them."

"Technically with the Next Generation Soldier Program, candidates are ready for combat deployment by the age of 12 thanks to the advanced training methods." Hunter adds.

"12 years old?" Rena asks.

"Yeah. We were kept on for an additional 6 years, but it was deemed that 12 year was all it took, after that proper field experience is necessary for a maximum developmental ratio in pilot candidates. So maybe I'm not ace pilot material, but at least I know what I'm doing. I'll take what you said to heart Dirk."

"Maybe you can I could spar or maybe go out for a round of paintball when we get the chance?" You suggest, glad that Hunter was being open minded.

"Sure! I'd like that" You give Hunter the rest of your General Tso's and go back to talking to Rena. After all, you came out to hang out with her, not Hunter as dopey and funny as the guy is.

What do you want to chat with Rena about? Anything specific or just how she's feeling lately?
>>
>>27249067
See how her last couple of days were, what's going on, that stuff.

We should talk about what happened before when we're alone with her.
>>
>>27249108
This sounds bout right.
>>27249023
Don't worry, like I've said previous threads it ain't AGE Q with Jake becoming Jake or Dirk becoming either or. It's also still amusing as hell.
>>
>>27249023
The foreshadowing of Kio still existing (despite our best efforts) grows ever stronger. Great. Well, maybe we can smack some of the stupid out of him in Gen 3. Would it be possible for our Gen 3 protagonist to be born a few years before Kio gets decanted, so he's a bit older and more mature than his foil is? Like, make him Jake's age in Gen 1, 15 to Kio's 13. That could work, right?
>>
>>27249179
I was thinking that Dirk's son should be about 15 and look after the other kids.
Besides, we have a sane Flit and Jake around to take care of their grandchildren, so Kio should be tolerable if not awesome.
>>
>>27249231
Neither Jake nor Flit will know about Kio, in all likelihood. Leviathan has Asemu's sperm, and Romary donated her eggs. If he exists, it will probably be as a secret project, which ties into the Next Generation Soldier program nicely. Which makes me wonder how he'd get the AGE-3. Stolen blueprints, maybe?

Ask her how the Mars mission went, with as much circumlocution as possible because we're in a public area. Was it an excellent adventure or a bogus journey? And what's this we heard about a Deodorant Monster?
>>
>>27249316
Maybe our guys freed him from some Leviathan lab? Maybe Bisidian attacks some Leviathan ship and finds a lot of kids instead of suits, and take them in. Arnold could take Kio as his son (imagine Kio with an Austrian accent) and raise him as his own son.

You decide to talk to Rena about how things have been going and how the mission to mars went. Apparently she's been doing OK and is feeling better now that the whole issue with Hunter has been resolved, at least partly.

"So how was the missing to the red planet?" You ask out of the blue.

"It was...weird. Thinking back on it, the whole thing seems like one big drug trip. Your Dad is pretty weird, I mean he's a great guy, but I'd rather not hang out around him without you around. No offence." Rena says, shaking her

"He tried to feed all you guys pancakes didn't he?" You ask.

"What is with you in pancakes?" Rena asks.

"It's all my dad fed me and my sister. I had to go to mom for a proper meal, I swear it was all Dad knows how to make." You explain.

"Yikes..."

The two of you talk for a while and eventually, after an hour, you think it's time to go. Rena waves you goodbye as she goes back to the ship, followed by Hunter.

You had a nice meal and a nice length of conversation. You have 11 hours of shore leave yet. What do you wish to do Dirk?

>11 hours of shore leave yet
Holy fuck, go drink not too much as we don't know how much we can handle.

Little tired, Crosswire?

I'd like to track down the Professor. The Dark History, er, I mean Colony Wars, is a pretty neat topic. Especially for Dirk. Half of his family lived through it but doesn't remember it. It's one of those things he'd always wonder about. So how about we track down Olbright and the rest of the gang, ask him about the Professor, spend a little time with the Woolf Pack and then go see the Professor?
>>
(Yeah, I'm actually rather tired. I don't think I'm going to be able to write properly at this point. Let's pick this up tomorrow, or else you'll be getting more gibberish from me. I don't trust my narrative abilities when I'm this sleepy. Tomorrow will be part B since this isn't long enough to be a whole part.
>>
>>27249697
Let's meet with the rest of the team, we could all go for a drink. Invite Hunter along, he seems like a cool dude.
And tell Asemu and Akito to stop grinning like idiots. Jesus, they only get along when we're miserable.
>>
>>27249794
Sure thing, Crosswire. Go get some rest. We'll see you tomorrow.

Night guys.
