Had to remember to put my trip back on. that would have sucked if i'd forgotten! haha.

Anyway, let's see... MWO is a colossal letdown, been putting together some preliminary stuff for a small side project I'd like to do- maybe while I'm taking a break from 89. not sure, yet.

Oh, I'm not going to be putting in 'write in' choices when a post is up anymore as a votable option. You guys seem to be pretty good about them, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that you can always write in if you want, I have no problem with that. Of course, I suppose if that's a bad idea, I'll be told, probably violently, haha!

Archive here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Strike%20witches%201989

and the pastebin is here: http://pastebin.com/zFxWNup1 pretty good if you just wanna jump in, though if even that's too long, ask in the thread- if one of the guys doesn't get you up to speed, I will.

++

“No way.” Ice says, forcefully. “I'm not letting one of my people into the USSR alone, with just the word of some KGB guy and one psychotic witch that he'll be safe. No. Not happening.”

“All due respect, ma'am,” One of the Spooks- ONI, you think, though he might be one of the other various alphabet soup agencies- “We're not asking you for your permission. Lieutenant Commander Bishop has an incredible opportunity here to get us hard information on something we've been looking into since the sixties.”

You and Merlin, kind of sidelined, sit in the back of the briefing room while the back and forth argument continues. In theory, Ice is well within her purview, denying the spooks the ability to order you to take Konstantina up on her offer. And it's a well made point- it's not exactly secret that your name and face are well-known, and capturing or killing you would be a major psychological coup for the Soviets.

1/2
>>
“And you can't order me to detach him, remember?” Ice says, folding her arms across her chest. “Witch forces act of '44. He's mine, and I refuse to let you people hand him to the Soviets on a silver platter.”

“Commander, we're not handing him over to the Soviets,” the other spook- a witch herself- says. “We're going to have people watching him and able to pull him out the second it looks bad.”

“At a base in the middle of Siberia you yourselves have said you've never gotten into?” Ice snarls. “Bullshit. Besides,” She continues. “Even if I was ok with it, it'd leave me shorthanded and double the workload on my only other steelwing crew. I can't run that risk in a combat area.”

“We've arranged for another pilot.” the witch says, looking at her partner.

He nods. “One of the best. We can have him with the fleet inside of eight hours- you'll never have a gap in your crewing.”

“I- I'm not flying with anyone other than Frank.” Merlin says, in that quiet tone of hers that instantly cuts through even the worst argument and makes people pay attention. “A-and I'm going with if he goes.”

“There is no way I'm going to let both of you.” Ice states, flatly. “Even if someone orders me to send Frank, I'm not letting you go with him.”

“Then h-he's not going.” Merlin responds. “E-every time he goes off, you say he'll be fine. And something always happens. I'm going with.”

“It's a moot point, Merlin.” Ice says, looking at the two ONI operatives. “Neither of you are going.”

“Has anybody stopped to ask Frank his opinion?” Slider says from her place along the wall. “Maybe we ought to see what he thinks before we go treating him like a ten year old.”

Most of the eyes in the room look at you.

[x] “This could be a shot at peace. I'm not going to go down as the guy that threw it away.”

You glance around- yeah, everyone is looking at you. Ice is up front, her arms crossed, and Slider's leaning against a bulkhead, while Katya sits in the chairs across the room, craned around to look back at you, and Merlin is next to you, of course, looking up.

“This could be a shot at peace.” You say, trying to not sound too dramatic. “I'm not going to go down as the guy that threw it away.”

“So you'll go?” the Male spook- Black, you think his name was, asks.

You nod. “Yeah. Yeah, I'll go.” You look down at Merlin. “You, on the other hand...”

She looks at you and blinks- and there's a glint in her eye you're not quite sure you've ever seen there before.

She shakes her head. “I'm going with. S-something bad will happen if I don't.”

“Nothing bad is going to ha-” You get out before she cuts you off.

“You always say that!” She practically yells- the force behind her words causing you to lean away. “A-Always! Oh, nothing bad will happen! I'll be fine! A-and then you go and crash and get hurt and it's not going to happen this time!”

You can see the tears welling up in her eyes- but she doesn't look even remotely ready to back down.

[] “If this is that important to you.”
[] “No, Merlin. I'm sorry.”

“And you'll need me if you get in trouble!” She insists, not returning the hug. “A-and I can't do any good here anyway and-”

“No, Merlin.” You say, a little more forcefully. “I'm walking into this knowing it could be a trap so that the people I love don't have to put their lives on the line anymore. I'm doing it because they asked for me, and bringing you with if this is a trap defeats the whole purpose.”

You shake your head again. “In the jet, it's different. In the jet, we're unstoppable. But we won't have the jet, this time. I can't let you get hurt because of my stupid decisions.”

“S-so you're doing this to protect me?” She asks, her voice still brittle.

“Of course.” You respond. “I'll come back, I promise. Just trust me. You trust me, right?”

You watch as a mix of emotions wars across her face- but finally, even crying, she nods.

“Frank, this is stupid.” Ice says, butting in. “What are you going to do if it is a trap?”

You look over at her, then indicate the spooks. “Ask them. But I learned a little bit from My family, and I've been through SERE, same as anyone else.”

“As if SERE will do you a damn bit of good in the middle of siberia. Frank, you're walking into a lion's den, here.” Ice retorts. Agent Black- or was it White- clears his throat.

“The brits have a man on the ground they've agreed to let us use.” He says. “One of their best. We're having him bird dog your man here as much as we can- he'll be in good hands.”

“And let's not forget the possibility that it's not a trap.” The other agent says. “The soviets have been behaving oddly since day one, and this could have something to do with it.”

“I'll notify Captain Blackwell.” Katya says, tersely. “This is foolish, Frank. KGB would practically kill to get their hands on you, and now you are just handing yourself over? Foolish.”

You watch her stride out, followed shortly by Ice. Slider stays behind as the two agents- well, just the witch- make the call to Konstantina and arrange your flight.

She shakes her head, walking over and rubbing Merlin's back. “For what it's worth, Frank, I think you made the right call. You're right, this could be a prelude to peace.”

You're about to respond when she continues. “And it could be a trap. Be safe, pilot. Watch yourself- and don't let that crazy bitch do anything to you I wouldn't.”

“And what wouldn't you do, hmm?” You ask, good humor partly restored by the joke.

“Young ears, Frank. Ask when you get back, alright?” She says, taking Merlin's hand and leading her out of the briefing room- leaving you alone with the spooks. The man provides a bag.

“They'll have a VIP transport waiting at Keflavik in a couple hours. We'll have to hurry to get you out there.” The witch says, her antenna fading as she dismisses her familiar. “You can trust our guy, commander, he's the best in the business.”

[x] “Yeah, I trust you guys. They'd skin you two if anything happens to me”

You nod with a wry smile. “Yeah, I trust you two.” You look back over your shoulder at the open hatch/ “They'll skin you if anything happens to me.”

The two spooks look at each other and the witch laughs nervously.

Up on deck, a CH-46 sits, spooling up it's rotors for flight. You take one last look around the deck before climbing onboard the chopper- you don't see the witches, but you can feel their eyes on you.

The flight is uneventful- even if you don't rightly trust choppers. Of course, flying a jet yourself was right out, and they weren't going to use a greyhound when the landing ships had plenty of choppers.

Keflavik shows some signs of combat- the Canadian paras secured the place just minutes ahead of the marines coming off the beaches, but most of it's back in commission, a naval construction battalion having landed with heavy equipment to put the place back together. Your ride sets down on the tarmac nearby a VIP transport- it could be almost any of that class of fairly small business jets in the west, you think- except for the red star painted on the tailfin and the trio of guys standing nearby.

The two in back, you think, are commando types through and through- both regard you with the gaze common to their type- and both, apparently, don't register you as much of a threat. The third man, however, speaks almost perfect English- and seems happy to meet you, shaking your hand.

1/2
>>
“I am Colonel Stanislav Petrov.” He says, shaking your hand. “I'm here on request of Comerade Putin. You are the famous Frank Bishop?”

You nod, returning the handshake. “That'd be me, sir.”

He laughs. “Come, come! No need for formalities. I suspect you believe you are walking into a trap. This is no such thing, I assure you! But we have a long flight, let us discuss more in the air, da?”

Inside, the plane is comfortable, definitely set up for some high ranking VIP and his or her close associates- wood paneling covers the interior, and the seats are a deep leather. A small dry bar occupy the back of the aircraft, with a small head on the port side and a pair of bunks on the starboard. A door in the very back would seem to lead to a small bedroom.

“Our flight is long, we will be receiving in flight refueling from some assets near Novaya Zemlya- I will tell you when we are close, you should be able to see megalith test crater from our plane, if the clouds are agreeable.” He laughs. “They seldom are.”

the two commando types, apparently not much for conversation, both head to the bunks after the aircraft lifts off. Not long into the flight, you notice your escorts- a pair of tomcats.

Colonel Petrov looks out the window at them. “Very pretty aircraft.” He says. “It is the model you fly, da?”

TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! ONI did clear Katya for what it's worth.
>>
>>27287513
Yes, captured and defection are two different things, good for you you can read words!

She was still a Soviet, and realistically she'd have been shuffled off away from the squadron for a long time, as opposed to just getting to fly with us literally within a day of leaving her country. We certainly would not have given her immediate access to working alongside a Navy squadron, or even stay on board a carrierfor very long, not without intense security and scrutiny, I don't give a good goddamn how cute she looks.
>>
>>27287567
Did you forget the bit where both ONI and fucking CINPAC himself cleared her to fly with us?

If you're going to sling around conspiracies, aim it towards them. Or just blame Ghost for not wanting to cart away a member of the main cast for God knows how long.
>>
>>27287567
I mean, fuckin' hell, she gave us access to one pair of strikers, woopde shit? That's not a megaton whatsoever. The war would have started either way, and we'd have gotten our hands on a soviet witch eventually, strikers mostly intact, especially considering how badly things went for them in Alaska.
>>
>>27287567

>Mah FICTIONAL story isn't matching up with my sense of reality!

>>
>>27287614
It was the political capital of the whole deal that was valuable.
>>
>>27287614
Or we could just go with Nixon's reasoning, the Soviets wanted an excuse to start a war and Katya happened to be a convenient target. Oh noes, a witch (who also happens to be distrusted by government) on the run isn't giving us a motherlode of intelligence, whoopde fucking do.

You nod, trying to ID the fighters by their nose art- you don't recognize either. “Yeah, that was the first one I flew. It'll always be part of me.”

Colonel Petrov chuckles. “It's good that you can make light of your injury. Some men don't recover so easily.” He says. “Still, I am sure you were glad you didn't meet our mutual friend while still flying one. She's quite anxious to meet you in person, by the way.”

“Konstantina?” You ask, looking back at the man- you peg his age somewhere in his early fifties.

He grins and nods. “She would have flown back with us, but Comrade Putin ordered her to return with the last flight out of Iceland.” He chuckles again. “She was, as you say, less than pleased by this.”

You laugh, imagining. “She doesn't strike me as the kind to listen to orders she doesn't like.” You say, looking around for something to drink.

>>
Colonel Petrov catches on and heads back to the dry bar- opening the bulkhead behind it to reveal a small refrigerator. He pours two glasses of water from a container and sets them down, taking a drink from his. “She is extremely loyal to her commanders and the people of Russia.” He says, shaking his head. “But she often has to be convinced of why her orders so often don't involve trying to impress you.”

You grin. “So she's a handful?”

He laughs. “She is, especially when she is being ordered away from a front you have been seen in! She was certain you were still in Japan after she encountered your sister, getting her here took a direct order from Putin himself. Imagine our surprise when you turned up in Iceland!”

You shrug, taking a sip from your glass. “It was a surprise to me, too.”

“It has worked in our benefit, though.” He says, still chuckling a bit. “She is convinced, now, that her commanders know and approve of her... infatuation with you. I suspect you may have your hands full while you are visiting us.”

He shakes his head with a bit of a smile. “But I talk too much. If you want to sleep, there is a bedroom there past Boris and Gregori.” He looks around, a bit conspiratorially. “Or, if you don't mind sharing a drink with an old man...” He pulls out a flask from a pocket on the inside of his coat.

[x] “Mom always said never turn down an offered drink, sir.”

You nod, smiling. “Mom always said never turn down an offered drink, sir.” You say.

He laughs again, pouring two fingers in a pair of clean glasses. “Your mother was very wise, Commander Bishop.” he says, tossing his back and pouring a second. “As the britishers say, cheers.”

You respond, swallowing the vodka and pulling the glass away again to regard it. Instead of burning all the way down and sitting like a lump of lead in your stomach, this stuff seems to fade away, leaving a pleasant warmth behind it.

“Good, da?” Colonel Petrov asks, grinning. “It is from a small brewer near Stalingrad. I can get a bottle occasionally.” He laughs. “I believe I made a mistake in introducing it to comrade Putin though, now I cannot keep it for very long!”

The two of you talk most of the flight down, slowly draining the flask- though you're careful to dilute it with plenty of water. Colonel Petrov, for his part, seems to be solid enough to not get drunk so easily.

You're refueled midair just off the coast of an island- you're not sure if it's Novaya Zemlya until colonel Petrov points out a crater- tiny, at this distance, but still clearly visible- on the island.

“Megalith test.” He says. “Largest explosion ever set off by man, we think. The test was designed to be an airburst, but the power of the weapon was such that it dug out a crater anyway. It was the twin of the one installed in the fortress Megalith. We won't be flying close enough to it for us to see it though.”

You keep watching the crater- it's got to be huge, given that you can make it out this well, even this far away.

1/3
>>
“The warhead is designed as a knockout punch, as you like to say.” The colonel says. “Many of us think this is foolish- many smaller warheads would be more flexible and harder to stop, but the premier insisted.” He shakes his head. “I believe it is a showpiece weapon. The earth defense force would be better served with more stonehenge installations.”

You go feet-dry shortly after the crater finally slides out of sight- you're honestly not sure if you can properly articulate what it makes you feel. Sure, it represents mankind's ability to defend itself, but you have to wonder what would happen if humans were to ever turn weapons that could do things like that on each other. Thankfully, you think, it'll never happen- the EDF has just too much control over nukes for that to be an issue.

The flight continues for a few hours before you can feel the aircraft start to descend. Colonel Petrov looks out a window at the seemingly endless tundra below. “Ah, here we are.” He says. “You cannot see it from this angle, but this is the base. Strana Mechty, we are calling it. Land of Dreams.”

Your pilot, you have to admit, is pretty good, landing the plane with just a slight bump to signify the wheels were on the ground. Colonel Petrov motions for you to follow him as the pilots and the pair of commandos exit.

Outside it's cold, but not terribly so. Colonel Petrov walks over to a waiting car and opens the door, motioning for you to follow him.

>>
You sit down and close the door behind you, looking out the window as your driver takes you to- well, wherever it is you're going.

The base is well kept and surprisingly modern- several new looking barracks buildings are set back from the road, and signs in multiple languages stand before others- Sports complex, Medical center, Base chapel.

The last throws you for a bit of a loop. “Base chapel?” You ask, indicating it. Colonel Petrov nods.

“The witches insisted. Some of them find great comfort in religion, even if, officially, the state does not recognize it.” He says.

You pass several other buildings- including a cinema and a 'mall'. You ask about that one too, and colonel Petrov chuckles. “The base is mostly for witches, young women, da?” He says. “They like to shop, and so we let them. It can be... difficult, sometimes, to bring things in for them to buy, but the base commanders have usually enjoyed some freedom in bringing things across the border.”

You pull into a parking garage near a white building. Colonel Petrov looks at you and grins. “Well, Commander Bishop, I suppose this is it. Comrade Putin's English is nowhere near as good as mine, I will be translating. I am sure Konstantina will be there too.” He chuckles. “Nervous?”

[] “Yeah, a bit. This is a bit beyond my usual realm, ya know?”
[] “Not really. So far, you haven't given me any reason to be.”

You nod. “Yeah, a bit,” You admit. “Konstantina seems a bit.... forward.”

Colonel Petrov laughs. “You will probably be surprised then.” He says. “She is very good at war and combat. She is not so good at much else.”

He leads the way- the halls of the building aren't empty, but they're a lot quieter than you thought they'd be. He narrates as you walk. “This is the headquarters building for the base. Base commander's office, Medical director's office, matron's office, that sort of thing. Most of the base's personnel are permanently assigned here, and very few leave for any length of time. Most of current garrison was hand picked by Comrade Putin. He also have many witches here of various nationalities, who are receiving medical treatment.”

Happily

“Comrade Putin or Konstantina will explain more.” He says. “My role here is as liaison officer and base commander, though lately I have not had much to do. Ah, here we are.” He turns and opens a door, following behind you and closing it.

You immediately notice the man behind the desk- he's kind of plain looking, honestly, mid length blonde hair and you can't quite peg his age, though he's fairly powerfully built. He says something in Russian and Colonel Petrov responds with a laugh.

To his right is your blue-eyed stalker. She looks down at her boots with shy smile the second you look at her. The man behind the desk- Putin, you think- has to be- looks over at her and says something- and she responds in Russian, not looking up. He chuckles, then turns to address you, translated by Colonel Petrov.

“Commander Bishop.” He says. “As you've no doubt guessed, I'm Colonel Vladimir Putin. I'm glad you came. You've met my young friend here, Junior Lieutenant Stalinka.”

You nod. “We've met, yes sir.”

He smiles. “I'm sure you two will have much to talk about while you're visiting us. However, not yet. I imagine your superiors are interested in lazarus, correct?”

"Yes," Putin answers flatly, seeing his way out. "You have been deceived."
"By capitalists, no doubt!" Stalinka snarls.
"Your pilot is capitalist."
"I CAN CHANGE HIM." To this, Putin takes a not so subtle step back, but his expression remains mostly neutral. Petrov comes running back to the room, after hearing the shout he feared the worst. "A-and c-comrade stork...will...will..."
"We have already explained-"
"But...if he does not...then..."
"It is...complicated."
"But it involves love, y-yes? And making lots of it?"
"...I suppose in your case it would involve lots of it, yes."
"In bed?"
"Well," Putin begins, "I suppose it does not necessarily NEED to be in a bed-"
"TOO MUCH, TOO SOON COMRADE." Petrov sputters.
Stalinka is starry eyed.
"It could be anywhere..." she says dreamily.
Putin and Petrov both excuse themselves from the room.

[x] “Yes, sir, very interested.”

“Yes, sir,” You say, nodding. “Very interested.”

Putin smiles and nods. “Good! Come, I think they have another witch in for treatment today, though I'm not sure who it is or what she's in for.”

He stands up, motioning for Colonel Petrov to open the door. “We'll have to go down to the medical center.”

The ride over is quick, of course- Konstantina sits next to you, refusing to look at you or make eye contact, which seems to be a source of some amusement for Putin and Petrov. They have a brief conversation in Russian that ends in a few mumbled words from Konstantina and laughing from the both of them- you're not sure you want to know.

The medical facility appears to be the centerpiece of the entire base- it's huge. Inside, you note a few more of the command types- most of them nod deferentially to Putin and Petrov, and look at you, trying to identify you- though you notice Konstantina staring down a couple. She's got to have a hell of a reputation, you think- these guys look tough.

Putin and Petrov lead you up to an observation deck above an operating theater, where a pair of surgeons are busily working on someone- you can't see who, though you can make out that they're working on her torso and arm.

“Ah, yes, the German.” Putin says, via Petrov. “She was careless and badly injured above Seelow. She was lucky one of our healers was available to stabilize her.”

“What are they- “ You ask, moving closer to the windows, trying to get a better view.

>>27290866

“She is receiving an augmented lung to replace her damaged one.” Konstantina says, before Petrov can. “And a prosthetic arm of the new kind. They will also be repairing the damage to her chest, ribs, hip, and mammaries.”

“Her what?” You ask, hiding your grin.

“Her, ah, breast.” Konstantina says.

“But why? She's German, you said?” You ask, turning away from the window to look at the three Russians.

“Because, Commander Bishop, mankind is going to need every single witch it has if it's to survive what's coming.” Putin says. “Lazarus can't bring people back from the dead, but it can rebuild them. The girl below, she'll be better after coming out of surgery than before her wound. She'll be more able to interface with a striker unit, able to focus and channel her magic to a better degree.”

You look back, unable to make any sense of the surgical procedure below.

“We can restore full limbs, if we need to,” he says, continuing. “There are several witches here who are currently blind- we will restore their sight, if we have the time.” He grins. “We could even, with time and your permission, remove the shards of metal from your rib cage and the lining of your lung, and give you augments to fight better in the air.”

“You didn't answer my question.” You say, shaking your head. “Why?”

“The premier is not acting in the interests of man.” Putin says, simply. “We believe he is targeting the earth defense bases around the globe and attempting to damage or disable them. The men at megalith are loyal to me, but I am unsure of the security at the other bases. We must have a line of communication with the allied powers, commander bishop. We believe they will listen to you.”

Petrov paces nervously in front of Stalinka's room. He can barely make out what is being said at first, but then it becomes apparent that Putin has reached what could be considered The Good Part.
"THEY-THEY-THEY-THEY WHAT?" Stalinka howls with confusion, fright, and something else. "DOES IT N-NOT HURT?"
Putin does his best to remain non-plussed, so his words once again are muffled by the door.
"S-SUCH...SUCH..." Stalinka clearly cannot continue. The door is pulled open by Putin.
"And that is where babies come from," he says over his shoulder as he walks off. He looked pleased with himself.
Petrov shudders, then looks to Stalinka with concern, ready to assuage her doubts or fears.
For her part, she looks towards the window dreamily.
"Oh...wow...."
Petrov excuses himself, closing the door gently.
"More vodka," he declares.

>Their primary mode of transportation is a fucking huge gun for crissake
It's a mass driver, the second-most efficient means of getting things into orbit, the first being an orbital elevator which is even more technologically complex and difficult to build.
It's one of the best ways to get stuff into orbit and beyond.
>>
>>27291312
it seems they want our biosphere as intact as possable. if they wanted to glass earth, they could have done that from orbit easy or even further out. our type of atmo and chemical mix of surface life is probably very rare in this galxacy.

Considering they can breathe our air it's not the worst guess
>>
>>27291395
Problem is, they're not just using it to get into orbit, they're using it as the entirety of the propulsion and guidance for things to get to earth.

It's inefficient as hell once they went past the "get into orbit" bit.

Just imagining Putin having this discussion at one point in time in his life with a yandere girl in magical plane legs makes me giggle
>>
>>27291440
They obviously prefer to expend electricity at their mass driver than spend it on fuel, and their mass driver is much more efficient than it could be on Earth because of Mars' lower gravity.
>>
>>27291395
well, no one i know of are building mass drivers, but i have heard that the Obayashi Corporation is on the path to make a space elevator. it'll take awhile yet. but they are at lease trying.
>>
>>27291454

You are now proceeding to manually remember that this Putin has flowing golden locks instead of lolbalding.
>>
If they want to be taken seriously we need to speak with some of the pow witches. Make sure they're fine and doing ok.

Maybe even ask to bring one back for debrief.
>>
>>27291515
Well, they obviously prefer it, but that's just more evidence that they're dumb as all fuck out.

They are, according to most of the writefaggtry and MW era quests, firing unguided transports. On a Timetable. i.e reinforcements arrive at fairly imprecise points on the earth's surface, on a fixed timetable, and with no way of changing that.

It's compete and utter madness. If they had even a primitive chemical rocket on the damn things to slow the transports down and let them maintain an orbit, it'd be A-OK. But noooooooooo.

[x] “What do you need me to do?”

“You know, you could have picked anyone.” You say. “Diplomat, high ranking officer, anyone.”

Putin grins, slightly. “We could have, yes. But, as the western papers say, you're a bishop. Your family has made a name for itself in every theater of this war. The Imperial family of Japan listens to you, the commander of the American pacific forces thinks of you as his protogee, you have met the american president, and there is a highly-placed French witch with your squadron. Besides the Germans and British, you know someone from every major allied power.” he says via Petrov. “We believe they will listen to you.”

“And if they don't?” You ask. “What if they're compromised?”

Putin shrugs. “Then it doesn't matter what we do here.”

He motions down a the operating room. “We will continue to work here- stay a few days, if you wish, and talk with some of the witches here, see what they think. Some of them are Americans, ask them their opinion. But we must try to end this foolish and wasteful war now.”

“Some people aren't going to want to.” You point out.

Putin nods. “Some people have no brains.” He agrees. “I hope they're in the minority.”

He shrugs. “I'll let Konstantina show you to your rooms. She'll be your guide and escort around the base- please don't try to leave her while you're here, though. The soldiers here are my men, and loyal, but they don't know you.”

You glance over at the witch- who meets your eyes for a split second before blushing and looking down at her boots again. Welp. It'll be an interesting couple of days.

yep. ...however, if Putin is willing to share this med tech with the US, we could fix up both her and the shark twin.

i am just surpsied cybernetics have progressed so far and so fast and not biotech. regrowing or cloning organs to attach for lost ones is much easier on the fleshy body. even still, does a witch lose more of her magic as more of her body is replaced with steel and chrome?
