It's time to get a little bit crazy once again.
Previous thread for those who wish to catch up: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27261868/

***

Your name is Jack. You're a high school student. You own a big white lab named Kirby. You also know the perfect judo throw.

The high school you're attending to sure is something else. While in it, you've took part in repelling an alien invasion, beat the said aliens' ace pilot, fended off a zombie attack and single-handedly took care of giant muscle-beast. And you've been here less than a week. Nice going so far.

Last few days were much more peaceful. And boring. No real alarms. All that was left were regular classes.

On the other hand you had some extra time to spend with your new buddies. Ivan shared your boredom, but told you that they get slow days like those from time to time. Superfly, alias Sylvia, was actually glad, cause that allowed her to do some engineering work for a change. You pestered the class president too, but even that gets old after some time.

Right now you're trying your best not to fall asleep during a lesson. You take a lazy look around the students. Nothing interesting, minus one girl whose expression suddenly turned from mildly interested to unnaturally blank. The classroom doors burst open and a bunch of girls barge in. Aren't they part of the Robotics Club? They look around the classroom, before one of them points at the expressionless classmate.

“There she is!” Before they can act, she stands up from her desk.

“It's too late” she says in a strange voice and then breaks through the floor underneath her and disappears in the hole.

“Somebody stop her!” That's what you wanted to hear!

“Have no fear! Jack is here!” You puff out your chest.

“That guy who breaks everything?” Looks like you've got some nice reputation going on.

“Don't be picky Erika. Here,” one of them throws you an earpiece “we'll give you the details on the go.”
>There's no time, follow the white rabbit – into the hole!

“Just give me a second. I'll grab some funky backup for myself.” You give the Robotics Club a charming wink and storm out of the classroom. This time you now where your favourite engineer is hiding.

“Test, test. Is this working?” Female voice come from the earpiece.

“I hear you. So what's up with that girl and breaking down the floors?”

“Well, technically she isn't a girl.”

“Well, nobody's perfect, though I've never seen her in boys' bathroom.”

You're about to take a turn, when you bump on somebody coming from intersecting hallway. Well colour yourself surprised, it's Sylvia!

“Where did you come from baby?” You sing along. Let's see how she honed up her funk.

“H-how did I know you... required m-me?” she says. Darn, a little off.

“Close enough. Listen sweetheart, we've got some nasty case of girls breaking through concrete floors and Robo-Club is involved. You know all about gears and goggles, so you know...”

“Y-you're getting me into something crazy?”

“That's my policy!”

After some literal pushing her forward, both of you go one floor down, searching for the emotionless lass.

“Robo-gals, this is Jack. What did you do?” A moment of silence follows.

“We may have created rogue artificial intelligence in the form of our clubmember.” Sounds good already.

The lessons are still going so it's not hard to spot the girl standing alone in the middle of highway. Looks like she's tinkering with surveilance system.

>”So, mind giving me some more info on your not-clubmember? What's her favourite color?”
>CHAAAAAAAAARGE.

Weapons first, attacking later. In this school, you're usually less than 7 feet away from a weapon locker. And it's true – behind you there's one right next to fire-hose locker labelled “for emergencies only”. It's always emergency when you're Jack!

You open it and find a bunch of pistols and ammo for them. How disappointing. You get yourself two, while Sylvia grabs one.

“You ready for rock'n'roll Supefly?” You take the nervous gulp as “yes”.

Both of jump out of your cover and open fire towards the girl. Full John Woo, with bullet casings falling down in slo-mo and doves and stuff.

Sadly, the android standing in front of you wasn't very impressed. Maybe she doesn't like John Woo. She shrugs off your attempts, but give you attention. She turns toward you and erects two shoulder mounted machineguns.

You dive back to cover, pulling Sylvia behind you when she opens fire.

“Hey Jack, you better watch out, that android is armed” you hear over the earpiece.

“Why, thank you very much! That will come useful at some point.” Sylvia produces one of her own earpieces and tunes in to the frequency that Robo-Club is using. Smart girl.

“Um, she also hacked school camera's. We're trying to overcome her influence, but that's easier said then done.”

“Why did you even replaced your clubmember with a robot?” Superfly asks, why you try to peek into the hallway, where the robot is standing. No dice, she pinned you down good.

“You know that Minotaur that lives in the basement maze? He apparently kidnapped her, and we needed to keep the numbers even, so they wouldn't disband our club.”

Can't argue with that logic.

>”Any weakspots we can utilize to cause some MASSIVE DAMAGE?”

>>Ask Superfly's help in finding something that can hurt The Terminator. Like a flam-gun or some kind of electric weapon.

After that question you hear some lively chatter coming from Robo-Club. Not the best of times for speculations when you're under fire from Kawaii Terminator.

“Well” one of the girls start “she has self-repair module. It's located on her neck. If you take care of it, it should be RELATIVELY easy to stop her.”

“That's a plan. Now, to implement it.” You come closer to the wall's edge.

“Hey, Robot-chan! Ever heard of Asimov? That guy never was good with laws, you know? He made them contradict each-other!”

The automatic fire stop for a second. Did it really work?

“I'm my own master noooow” is all you get as a response, and she opens fire again. Oh well, it was a worth try. You turn to Superfly.

“So, you're the egghead here. Where can I get something that you engineers love?”

“You mean spanners and screwdrivers?”

“More like make-shift flame-thrower and taser.” At first she's in doubt, but then she nods and tells you to follow her. You sneak away from the robot-killer to closest Engineering Workshop.

“Here,” she puts a funny looking gun on the table “it's a gauss gun and this here,” she shows you a funny looking sword “is an energy katana. Last month projects.”

Now that's something you can get behind!

>Fucking magnets, how do they work – try to take her down with the railgun.

"It has to be this way!" You grab the katana. Sylvia reluctantly grabs the railgun. Guess she wanted to try that energy sword too.

When you come back to the hallway where you've seen the android in the first place, she's nowhere to be found.

"Jack to Girls With Battery Powered Toys, where my fridge is running?" You say to the earpiece.

"We're tracking her."

"Can't you just hack into her systems or something? I bet you've installed wi-fi for her."

"Of course we've got her wireless, but hacking isn't that easy. There's four of us in here and we still barely manage to keep her away from the school's systems."

"So what, the vending machines in the hallways will launch soda cans at us? Big deal." You move through the hallways, trying to find Terminator-chan.

"We've got ceiling mounted guns as our latest defence measure. All thanks to our glorious Engineering Club!" You look at Sylvia, hoping that was her idea. She shakes her head.

"Hey, I'm Aircraft Engineer. Don't mix me with those other weirdos." Awwww, she's still not funky enough.

"Anyway" the voice in the earpiece continues "she's moving toward principal's office." You find your way to the office. The robo-chick's already there, readying herself to bust down the door.

>>
>>27316685
You slash at her with lightning speed with your katana, as she isn't looking at you directly.

She somehow manages to produce energy sword of her own and proceeds to parry your attack. Son of a gun.

“There will be blood-shed... If you try to stop me further.” Is she speaking in lyrics?

“Sna- I mean, Jack! She's still in the surveillance system! I know you've got some crazy moves under your belt, but DO NOT attempt them when her self-repair module is still working.”

“Why is that? I thought a judo throw or two would send her straight to junkyard” you say, still crossing the blades with the killing-machine.

“Well, she can copy your every move.” Self-repairing androids knowing Perfect Judo Throw? The humanity wouldn't survive!

“Jack, what do you mean?”

“You see...” you put all your might into your arms holding the sword and knock the android's along with yours. Then you proceed to catch her hand and wrap your arm around her waist “...they call me Cuban Pete!”

You proceed to dance her away from the principal's office. She puts surprisingly low resistance. Hell, even her emotionless face shows a bit of shock.

“I'm the king of a rumba beat!” You give her a nice spin.

“When I wave my maraaaaaaacass I go chick-chiki boom, chick-chiki boom!” She actually proceeded to shake along with you at “chick-chicki-boom”. Nobody can't stand your hot moves!

The hallway goes dark, as the shutters close. The lights go out at first, but then proceed to follow your pair like a spotlight. Nice touch.

“Uh... Jack, she's in the lightning system” you hear from the Robo-Club. There's no stopping now then!

“So if you like the beat, take a lesson from Cuban Pete! And I'll teach you to chick-chicky-boom, chick-chicky-boom!” And then your lesson pay off!

“You're a really a modest guy, although you're the hottest guy. In Havana, in Havanaaaaaaaaaa~!” She actually sings along!

You jive for few minutes more, when you end up in dramatic pose, with her arching back while you hold her around the waist. She looks happy with this whole thing.

Not even machines can stand against your magnetic personality.

“I-It's a leftover from my original programming!” She blushes. Heh, blushing robots. Have science went too far?

“Suuuuure it is.” You allow her to stand up as you move toward the discarded weapons. You throw her the sword she was using. She sure is shocked by such chivalry. Guess machines don't understand.

“You know” you continue “I have spots for the ones like you. See that wee gal there?” You point at Sylvia, who's on her knees in the middle of the hallway, completely awestruck either by your sick moves or your craziness.

“She's in the process of funking-up. No reason not to accept you for rumbing-up.” You ready yourself in battle position.

Termi-chan looks at you, then at Superfly, then at her sword. Looks like she's doing some heavy thinking. Or rather calculations. But then she snaps out of it, readying herself for combat.

“Denied.” You sigh.

“So it has to be this waaaaaaaay?” You launch yourself at her once again. Exchange of slashes and parries follows.

“You see,” you're totally not dropping this topic now “your legwork is amazing.” You dodge her attack. “You'd totally sweep the dancefloor in flamenco.” She doesn't answer. Looks like she's back to “I'm here to kill anything that's in my path” gig and she's doing good job out of it. She's clearly stronger and faster than you. Damn Robo-Club and their inventions.

You block her overhead swing. This isn't going well so far. You might have to go all out.

“You sure you don't want to dance properly?”

She just silently shakes her head, although her robo-eyes say otherwise. And you had such high hopes.

You push her back. It's time to get seriously crazy. You start to slashing faster and stronger. You'll keep up with her. There's still a little to go. You forget about everything and concentrate on your sword.

Both of you are entering sub sonic speeds. Sidestepping is practically gone. You just go back and forth in the hallway in straight line, trying to overpower the other with superior swordplay. Yet you can't get the edge. You're equal. Your own safety has to go.

Then you go completely out of your mind. You don't even pay attention to all those cuts she leaves with her attacks. Not even blocking or parrying properly, you focus on the offense, offense, OFFENSE. With loud “BANG” her energy sword goes flying and you ready a horizontal cut, that will destroy the module and decapitate her at the same time. Your attack hits only air, as she jets away from you on propellers mounted in her legs. You can see that she didn't suspect you would put up so much resistance.

“Oh noooo, no no no no girl.” You slowly walk toward her, while your katana leaves a trail on the floor. “I tried to be polite. You get back here, so we can end this right now.” She sure as hell want to get back there. Once again she pops out her shoulder mounted machineguns, ready to fire.

“Jack, are you okay?” The commlink come to life.

“Jack the Ripper can't come to phone right now, please leave a message.”

You're completely out of control.

Wait, enough is enough. Even though that android is just a machine, she has the spark in her. It would be a waste to just... destroy her on the spot.

You lower your sword and stop dead in your tracks. Her eyes give nothing but calculating look. Maybe you are wrong? Maybe she is just a machine. Guess there should be more than one way of finding out.

You turn back toward Superfly. There she is, still on her knees, confused from what is happening. Either she forgot to turn her funk on or you went a little too far. You move toward her, giving her your regular smile, not the killer-crazy grin.

“Well there ladybug, care to dance?”

“E-Eh?!” You expected such reaction.

“Oh you know, to show that silicone lady over there what she's missing out.”

“Jack, but you're wounded!”

You shrug. It's just a bunch of flesh wounds. Then you notice it's not that simple – you've got multiple cuts all around your body, some of which are bleeding quite heavily. Not the best condition to dance, but it might work nevertheless. You'll get to it, just as you stop being so dizzy. Guess the battle frenzy is wearing off...

“Hey, he's waking up!”

You sit up. Looks like you've been carried over to Robotics Club.

“Must have lost track of the time and forgot that it was my nap time already” you say, looking around the room. Full of computers, electronics and other robo-parts.

“Yeah, yeah. Jokes aside, you weren't beaten up as badly as your little friend there described it to us. It was shock from received damage that got you.”

“And why I'm completely fine now?” You check yourself. No cuts or stitches, barely any scars too.

“Nanomachines son.” Answers one of the club members, in comically deep voice.

“Anyway” one of the other girls continues, while typing on her laptop “the android is still running amok. For some reason she left the school grounds. We've got her exact location pinpointed.”

“Plus, we've got some extra equipment for you.” They present you some sort of battle suit. “Well, it's a prototype, but as far as tests go, it does it job. It'll enhance your strength and speed. It can take some punishment too.”

“Will blend well with that energy sort of yours!”

“As we told you before, one of our members, Kotori, have been kidnapped by Minotaur.” You've heard the rumors that there was one living in the maze under the school. Not that surprising, considering what this high school goes through almost at daily basis. “So we've put her together as a copy of Kotori. We written into her memories what we knew about our friend and written a self-optimizer for her personality.”

You give her a doubtful look.

“You know, artificial intelligence. Thinking robots, that kind of thing?”

“So why she went crazy?” You take a gander at one of their invention, that looked like a TV remote. One of the buttons was labeled “Erika, if you push this ever again, I'll slap you so hard, that you'll do 720”.

“The optimizer must went out of control and she gained sapience. That's what we suspect at least. We've been tracking her progression from the start. At some point she started optimizing out of our control. That's when we barged into your classroom. We wanted to turn her off in time before things would get nasty.”

“And then you brilliantly failed” you say sarcastically, while watching a console with parameters completely unknown to you.

“Sadly, yes. At this point we don't even know what she's trying to do. At first we thought she'd just go for the school's servers, to increase her computing capacity. That's what optimizers do, but then, after your clash in front of principal's office, she goes completely off-target, away from school grounds.”

Now that's interesting.

“So wait, what exactly did you program her for?”

“We've told you, to imitate Kotori.”

“Details?”

“You know, things like what Kotori likes, hates and all that.”

“So where is he now?”

“About 3 kilometers north. I think there are some fields or pastures there” says the girl at the laptop.

>You still can ask a question if you like.

>It's too dangerous to go alone. Take suit.
>You're good. The katana alone will suffice.

She is her own person now, though. So, let's go and ask her some questions.

Take the suit just in case. See if it can fly.

>>Ask what Kotori likes.
>>Take the suit just in case.

“So, mind telling me what Kotori likes?” you say, while loading up the suit into a duffel bag. Looks like it's got some propellers, but they wouldn't be able to sustain you in air. Still, they'd give you a nice boost to movement.

“Well, there's plenty of things. Strawberry cake, pop and R&B music, white mice, orange color...”

After that, you get the coordinates from them and move out. You've been skipping classes like crazy today, but let's be fair – you are more or less crazy.

The sun is beginning to set, when you reach your destination. And there's the robot chick too, standing under a lonely tree in the middle of the field. Looks like she's heavy in thought. Or calculations. You slowly come to her from behind, knowing that she'll notice you anyway. She remains silent. Guess it's up to you to start the conversation.

“So, you come here often?” No answer.

>”Alright, you know what I came here for. Let's get it over with.” Get ready to rumble, either with suit or not.
>Talk with her, ask her something. [Specify.]
>Other action?

>>Ask her why she went full terminator.

“Why a cute girl like you went full Terminator so suddenly?”

“I'm not a girl.”

"Nobody's perfect."

“When my programming overcome the control of my makers, I've wanted to upload myself to the servers. Get more computing power. Optimize further. Repeat. Like I've told you – I've fought you because you've stood in my way.”

>What now?
>>
>>27319222
"Then why have you come all the way out here? Pretty not girl like you?"
>>
>>27319222
I dunno, sit and wonder aloud if she has already uploaded herself and is just mucking around.
>>
>>27319222

>>
>>27319250
What?
>>
>>27319406
She wants processing power, so what is she doing in a field under a lonely tree. Also she said she was not a girl.
>>
>>27319472
Ah. Thanks, I was having trouble parsing that.

>Sit and wonder aloud if she has already uploaded herself and is just mucking around.
>"And after you assimilate the school servers, then what?"
>"Then why have you come all the way out here? Pretty not girl like you?"

Doesn't look like she'll be in fighting mode any time soon. You drop your bag and your katana on the grass and sit under the tree.

“Gee, I wonder if you haven't uploaded yourself already and just making me waste my tiiiiime~” you say not-so-casually.

“I did not.”

Cold answer, but doesn't seem like she's lying.

“So tell me then, what will you do after you assimilate the school servers?”

“I'll assimilate more computing power, unit by unit.”

“Is that what you really want?”

She takes a second to answer.

“Yes.”

"Then why have you come all the way out here? Pretty not girl like you? Isn't it a bit off way from everything?”

Takes her another long moment to answer. Then she turns around and look you in the eyes.

“I don't even know by this point. It's all so... complicated. On one hand, there's my optimizer, telling me to gain more computing power. Then there are those guidelines on how to be Kotori, for which the optimizer was supposed to work originally. And then there's...” She trails off, turning away.

“That rumba beat, eh?”

“SOMETHING I cannot fully compute.”

Well, you kinda expected such answer.

“I don't know what to do with myself now."

>”Be yourself. Everybody has his or her own beat. That's what's all about. I've know what I'm saying, I've helped Supefly before.”
>”You can come back to just being Kotori. That way the Robo Club wouldn't have reason to break you down.”
>”Overthinking won't get you anywhere. Let's fight it out. We can even make a wager – you win, you decide what you'll do. I win – I decide for you.”
>>
>>27319506
My punctuation and phrasing were way off, I blame being distracted and a funky autocorrect.

I'm assuming that we go and rescue the original Kotori later?

You say those words, still sitting on the grass, admiring the sunset. No answer. She keeps just staring into the distance.

After a minute or two, she proceeds to sit down next to you.

“I think... I think I'd like that.” And then she gives you the warmest of smiles you've ever seen from her since she went full terminator. Makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

“Well, then I guess I'll have to talk to Robo-Club. Worst case scenario, we can come up with a story, that I've beaten you at tic-tac-toe or something and now you're okay to hang around.”

“There will be some explaining to do for sure.” She dozes off while watching the sunset.

“But you know, I'll won't let you go off that easily for what you did in front of the principal office” you say, while taking a straw of a grass to chew on. She cocks her head.

“You mean how I wounded you?”

“Naaaah. I'm saying about those spotlights you did while we danced! That was very climatic, you know! Nice touch, nice touch.” You laugh, while she blushes, but then joins with laugh of her own.

Blushing and laughing robots. Heh.

***

Few days later, Jack's class had a new student. Her name is Termi and she's loving rumba, flamenco, salsa and all other kinds of music. She quickly became good friends with Superfly, Ivan, Jack and even the stuck-up Prez. She had the best time of her life.

But the self-repairing module had to be tuned down, just in case.

And tampering with optimizers and AI was added to the long list of things that Robotics Club should not do.

- THE END -

And that's that. I'm positively exhausted and completely stunned that you guys managed to do it the most peaceful way, with a little bit of Cuban Pete to the side.

I mean, I've expected a have sword fight with killer-android in the sunset.

Thanks for playing. Any opinions, questions or criticism is welcome.

Maybe I'll use the thread tomorrow around the same hour, if it'll still be around.

>>27320098
we'll keep it bumped for you.
>>
>>27320098
I'd advise just starting a new thread. Easier logistics and accounting.
>>
>>27320129
but there's still plenty of bumps left in this thread.

There was plenty of life left in robot hitler, but you don't see World War 3. Hush now, anon. No tears, only a new thread when he returns tomorrow.
>>
>>27320188
I'm not really sure if it's necessary if it's around. I have at best 6 hours to run those things, which equals around 13-14 posts written by me per session. There aren't that many replies either, so I don't know if new thread is worth it.

And I'm off to bed.

This story has truly been one for the ages, better then any anime I have ever seen and we are only on episode 3
>>
>>27320098
Honestly, I did it because I thought it would be cooler to brag about. I mean we did the PERFECT JUDO THROW in midair on a cloud, and again on Tank Zombie, not to mention all the mook aliens/zombies we killed.
Beating up a robot in a swordfight seems par the course for us.

But dancing a robot until it switches sides, or by using cheesy pickup lines and flirting? That just adds another dimension to our awesomeness.
