Previous thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27280677/Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/UuVeJFigYou are John James Green, plucky(ish) mutant hobo. It’s 6:00 AM in the morning, and you’re staring at your hand. You woke up early out of habit, but soon remembered that you’re not signed up with the Bugle today, and felt yourself easing back into the ethereal mid-point between wakefulness and dreaming. Then you noticed the little sparks occasionally crackling at the tips of your fingers and spent a fair bit of time just watching that. At first you were a little afraid that the electrical girl had done something to you, or left some kind of charge in your body, but it doesn’t hurt… so… you guess this is some natural evolution of your x-gene? You briefly wonder if maybe you kind of adapted to the consistent electrical exposure of yesterday, but brush it off. You’ve met other mutants, after all, and you’ve never spontaneously developed their powers. You heave yourself up off the ragged old sofa that serves as your bed, shuffling toward the window. The city beyond the scar is a muffled blur of falling snow, the mottled grey of concrete mingling with the grey of the horizon. Temperature’s still dropping. Three weeks till Christmas now? Two? You haven’t the slightest clue anymore.Laura & Noriko are both asleep on the mattress (though you doubt that Laura’s actually asleep). The little electric witch hasn’t so much as stirred since yesterday, so whatever you doped her with must’ve been powerful. Kevin’s on the floor.>Current Funds: $95.5>$30 (Laura)>$26 (Kevin)>Hunger Level: 3>[ ]Wake someone up.>[ ] Head out to the Bugle. ...None of the usual suspects around today?
>>27347899Hahah! Time for Mutant Shenanigans!>Foodstuffs for all!As an aside: Maybe we only "imitate" (chameleon lol) the powers of people we -touch- since we got healing after handholding with Laura, and taser-jazz-hands after lugging Noriko around.
>>27347899>[ ] Head out to the Bugle. Gotta sign up for tomorrow.
>>27348038this is the advantage of having/using a twitter. people can easily get cellphone notifications of the thread's existence. They will come.
>>27347899Let Laura know we're heading to the Bugle to sign up for work (did she have work yesterday? Did she skip it?), then do so.I forgot we have the fire phobia, so getting a camping stove should be out of the question for now. The building we're squatting in doesn't have electricity or running water, right?
>>27348038...sorry for the wait, was driving when you put this up.>secure future employment then purchase cheap breakfast for all (and maybe a synthetic multivitamin for Kevin) on the way back. Also, how far in advance can you sign up for Bugle work? We should probably just sign up for the next day whenever we head in.
>>27348080>(did she have work yesterday? Did she skip it?)She had work. Hence why she has thirty dorrars. >writing
>>27347899OP, I have one slight suggestion if you wouldn't mind. Is there any chance you could throw up anorexic pastebin for the various powers we have access to? You've been kind enough to explain the various level etc every time we've asked (thank you!), but it would be nice to have all those descriptions saved in one place rather than having to hunt throw the archive to find say, electrostatic touch. Just a thought and reguardless thanks for running this.
>[X] Head out to the Bugle. Gotta sign up for tomorrow.>[X] Go get breakfast for everyone.Reluctantly unspooling yourself from a cocoon of old blankets, you make your way out. It seems almost strange, being worried about a little job chucking papers at people when there’s all this other shit crowding in on your life, but you need to eat. And so does Laura, and Kevin, and (assumedly) Noriko. The city gradually ventures out into the cold as you make your way toward the Bugle, the guttural snores of early-morning commuters slowly but surely rising into a great, collective yawn composed of taxis, buses, and feet on pavement. You stop by a McDonalds and pick up basically everything that costs a dollar, stowing the bags under your coat. Gotta find a better way of keeping warm – you’re cool with smelling like old alleys and ages of dead skin, but lugging all this food around under your coat is starting to impress upon you the classy aroma of fast food. And now that you’re getting better with your nose, you’re realizing just how long these scents last. To Laura you must smell like all the leftover KFC in the world. You get into the Bugle a little before 7 o’clock. There’s someone else at the desk this time, this skinny dude who informs you that Vanessa is off sick, but you get yourself scheduled in for tomorrow morning. >[ ] Ask if you can sign up several days in advance. >[ ] Ask how Peter’s doing. >[ ] Leave.>[ ] Write in.>>27348216Good idea. As if it were a Herculean effort, he flips his little notepad back open. “Yeah, sure, why not? I can put you in for two days in advance.” “Thanks, man.” You say, awkwardly, and fish for something to break the silence as he copies your name into the next few pages. “So, uh, how’s Peter? >[X] Paper.>[X] Stove. You grab a paper and head on your way. Keeping food warm is starting to get icky and takeout is relatively expensive, so it’s time to make good on that little promise you made yourself a day or two ago that you’d pick up a stove. You scan through the paper as you scan the streets for a thrift store. The front page is a huge splash, declaring in bold lettering that TRIPLE TERROR: SPIDER-MAN TEAMS UP WITH SANDMAN AND THE GREEN GOBLIN. Apparently they attacked some science museum during a school trip and some students got hurt. There’s a follow-up about Jack and its distributors, but the story seems to be losing steam – nobody seems to want to acknowledge that how MCA has been turning the increasingly homeless mutant population towards drug dependency. Hell, you know most other papers are pretty much focusing on the whole ‘Mutants! They could explode in your face!’ aspect of the story. You try a few second-hand shops before you find one with a working stove, but find one you do, parting with $15 for it. Just enough that you won’t be running out in the middle of burning something up.You get home at 8:20, and find a living room devoid of Noriko or Kevin. A throaty gurgle from the direction of the bathroom tells you that the neon-haired wonder is in fact awake and barfing gratuitously (into a totally dry sink, most likely. You were a bit worried that there might not be enough for four mouths to munch on, but seeing as Noriko’s evacuating her everything in the other room, she’s probably not up for stuffing herself yet. So there should be enough McNuggets and smushy burgers to go round. Laura glances out from under a half-closed eyelid, before untangling herself from the lotus position and padding over. “Good morning.” “Yeah. Not bad.” You reply. It wasn’t so bad. Nobody nearly broke your wrist, for one (that said, your hand’s feeling much better now. You were expecting it to hurt for days). Eventually Noriko and Kevin emerge from the bathroom, traversing the treacherously flat and unobstructed footing of the apartment floor as a single, lurching being. You’re not even entirely sure what’s going on – especially with the Laura thing. You decide to stick with what you know. “I think we need to know what we can do. Mutant-wise. Laura, you can smell stuff good and heal, right?” She nods. “I am also capable of projecting nine inch claws from my hands and feet. My enhanced healing factor allows me to resist the effects of lactic acid and function and peak efficiency for longer than normally possible.” “Right.” Okay. You weren’t really expecting that. >[X] The Fully MontyYou sigh. Oh boy. This must be how parents feel when it’s time to talk about the birds an’ the bees. ‘Son, I know you might not understand it now, and you might feel a little weird about what I’m about to tell you, but for most of us, there comes a time in a hobo’s life when he really really has to eat…’ etc etc etc.“Do you guys know what a drug mule is?” Laura nods. Kevin doesn’t. Noriko burps a vicious, sicky-smelling miasma and quietly apologizes. Ew.“Right, back then I could barely use my powers.” Yes, contextualize. That will make it much better. “I’d just arrived in the city and I was hungry, and tired, and possibly stupid. I did some work unloading shit at the docks, and that put me in touch with some guys that needed some other stuff moved around. I was a kid, so I was perfect for ferrying drugs. And for a while, I thought it was great.” You lean back and let the memories simmer up in your brain, bloody and bruised and reeking. “Creeper gave me a shower, he gave me clean clothes, he gave me warm food... hell, he even gave me some local school uniform so I’d be less conspicuous. So I ran drugs around for him, till eventually I was starting to really get a grip on disappearing.” You bite your lip. “The Jack game wasn’t as big back then. Fisk wasn’t interested yet, so Creeper had to make more money elsewhere. It was petty theft, pretty much. I’d fade out, beat someone till they’re not moving, and take all their stuff… and that was that. Eventually I realized what a total scumbag Creeper was, and I cut ties.” That being a story for another day. The three stare at you intently. Rolled 6>>27348608Hey, considering the flavour we currently have going, I'd like to propose a new power suggestion (though it's technically a meta-power, functionally speaking). We've been kidding about how our powers seem to grow by being in contact with other mutants, but could we actually make that an actual ability? Like, a one-time purchase power that allows us to unlock new abilities by coming in contact with other mutants for extended periods of time. We can place some pretty logical soft limits on this that make it seem pretty flavourful (and less powerful than rogue's absorption ability) whilst still being very functional for the purposes of this game. Just have it that being in contact with another mutant for a fair period of time unlocks the first level of their ability/ies for us to put points into, and exponentially increasing periods of contact are required to unlock higher levels of the abilities. If you felt that even this was too strong, you could always just have absorption as a levelable trait, with higher levels affecting the evolution point cost of the unlocked powers. If we do this, we can add a clear theme to our mish-mash of powers, remove a hard cap on power variety whilst still preventing us from becoming OP, and even open up new plot possibilities stemming fromn the flavour of this new fact. That seems pretty win-win to me.

“I’m gonna talk to Creeper.” You decide aloud. You’re not friends with the guy and, in many ways, he’s pretty much all the worst things about living on the streets rolled into one, but he’s not… uncivilized. He probably considers himself very civilized indeed. “He knows me, so maybe we can work something out. We might be able to pay him back, or do him a favour or something.”You elect to omit that the last time you met ended with your fist all up in his face, mostly because Kevin seems really shifty about this whole thing. You pretty much had your suspicions when you first ran into him, but the guy is NOT built for the homeless life. Anyhow, Creeper’s a businessman. He hates being embarrassed but he hates falling profits far, far more. Criminals are mostly the same – grease their palms up enough and they can push all that dignity and pride crap to the black pit at the back of their skulls. That same place they left their empathy, and their charity, and their basic human decency. “Worst case, my powers could help me steal enough stuff to make up for his loss. And he should be satisfied with that.” Should. Things change, after all. You didn’t think about it before, but now you find yourself considering what ways in which the Creeper of two years ago could be from the Creeper of today. “We do have something else to talk about, though…” You look at Laura. She grimaces very slightly and clenches her fists against her knees.>[ ] Ask Laura to explain. >[ ] Detail you encounter with Kimura.>[ ] Write in.>>27351525I might give you some info on their powers, once you've spent enough time with them that you must know pretty much how much they can do.That said, in many cases they themselves don't entirely know. Noriko has a perfect storm of ‘wait, what?’ and ‘uuurgh I feel sick’ roiling across her features. Laura pauses for a moment, as if grappling for the right words. “…unlawful ownership of their assets.” As far as you can tell she owns pretty much nothing other than the clothes on her back. So that comes as a bit of a surprise. “After encountering me several days ago, their agents should have assumed that I have left the state, as per standard operating procedure. But…” She glances up at you briefly. “I did not. I thought they would shift to tracking me to another state, but it seems that they are still focusing their efforts here. That corset thingy doesn’t even have pockets.” She frowns at you, but you quickly realizes it’s not an angry or a pointed one – in fact, it’s not directed at you at all. >>27353146>>27353192That also needs Level 3 Phasing. How many times do we need to go over this. At level 1+2 we get pushed out violently and at 1 we might lose something in the process
What does PMC mean by the way? Also, we could tell Kevin and Noriko that if Laura's being chased by that immortal bitch that they're free to drop any restraints and disintegrate that psychopath.
>>27353251Private Military Contractors/Corporations
>>27353236Alright, we need to start leveling that, because that's the only real way I see us being able to take her down without dying horribly.
Go and help noriko with her withdrawal symptoms. We should be immune to some degree of shocks.
>[X] Make sure Noriko’s okay.Welp, Noriko’s kind of worrying you, what with the vomiting and the unpleasant gastrointestinal ejections and such. A lot of it’s normal, but she seems… pretty much way worse off than Kevin, who’s still pale and sunken around the eyes but at least not evacuating everything he eats. She’s retreated back to the bathroom for now, and though you’re no longer hearing the sounds of mountains copulating from her stomach, you’re not quite content to sit back and wait for the thunder. Telling Laura that you’ll be back, you follow her into the dimly-lit restroom. The first thing you notice, before you even register the place visually, is the awful smell. Everything she’s vomited up is gradually edging its way down a drain, and with no running water to help it on its way, it’s really taking its time. And, of course, you smell ALL of it.Noriko is sitting on the edge of the bathtub, her hands clamped about her arms, as if that would somehow stop her skin from shaking. >>27353397"Sorry for tranquilizing you, that probably didn't help with your detoxing at all."
Okay I guess you guys shouldn't really know this, but seeing as you're potentially building your powers around killing Kimura: Her only true superpower is near-indestructible skin. She's not immune to electric shock, though she does mitigate it somewhat. She's not immune to continual blunt trauma, she just mitigates it greatly. Her skin is most effective when it comes to taking care of slicing/piercing stuff (for obvious reasons), and it's basically impossible to actually break through it.
>>27353397> How's it going?Detoxing is rough, combine that with her out of control powers... After she answers ask if we can get her a blanket, it's pretty cold in here and I think we can afford to sacrifice a bit of bedding to the smell if it wards off her getting frostbite.

>>27353468>not immune to electic shockGood to know. I was going to suggest punching her in the back of the throat (through her open mouth, obviously) then unloading, but it sounds like that would start being overkill at around lvl2. As for the specific kill build bit, I know I'm not building just for Kimi. I basically want to snag phasing 1 then double down on our core powers for a bit (so we can prevent ourself from getting ambushed and be more capable of successfully ambushing them). We'll see how it shakes out.

>[X] "How's it going?">[X] Written in stuff.“How’s it going?”“Like shitting razorblades.” Right, yeah, you pretty much knew it’d be something like that. She’s certainly a great deal more outspoken than your other companions, though that might just be the catastrophically sudden Jack detox speaking. “Yeah… sorry for tranquilizing you. That probably didn’t help.” You lean in against the basin, staying a little light on your feet. You can’t shake the impression that she’s suddenly gonna just drop forward onto her face. “You were sort of exploding, though.” She licks her lips and sneers a little at the taste. Yep, they’re probably pretty disgusting. “…Did I hurt anyone?” “Huh?” “When I overloaded? Did I hurt anyone?” “Oh.” You smile a little. “Nah. Not unless you’re counting land rovers. And I’m not, seeing as they are ugly bricks of shit.” She chuckles a bit and grips harder at her arms, swaying back and forth for a moment. “You want a blanket? The shakes are just gonna get worse for a while.” She nods. You quickly dart out and grab one from the sofa, untangling it from the cocoon you’d arranged for yourself. You bring it in and pass it to her. >[ ] Tell her what she can expect from withdrawal. >[ ] Ask if she’s done this before.>[ ] Ask how long she’s been on the drug.>[ ] Ask if her powers were acting normally yesterday or if she just had a bad trip.>[ ] Write in.

>>27353801That's not what it says on the pastebin Mutant Powers:INVISIBILITY (LVL2): Chameleonic invisibility. This ability obscures JJ Green in both the visual and thermal range, but he will still register to auditory or more exotic means of detection. At its current level this ability loses much of its effectiveness when JJ Green is in motion, but still obscures him well enough to hide his exact location.ENHANCED SENSES (LVL2): Generally enhanced senses. JJ Green's senses of sight, hearing, touch and smell are all well above human capability. At this level JJ Green has optimal nightvision, but not darkvision or any highly specialized senses (e.g. heatvision or 'spider-sense').HEALING FACTOR (LVL1): JJ Green is capable of healing at roughly twenty times the rate of a normal human being. He cannot, at present, regenerate from fatal injuries or extreme wounds (such as the loss of a limb). Blood loss is more tolerable for him and he has a significantly reduced chance of suffering from infection.ELECTROSTATIC TOUCH (LVL1): JJ Green is able to emit an electrical current from his hands roughly equivalent to that which is produced by a police-grade taser. This current can be conducted through viable materials. Mutant Markings:UNCANNY EYES: JJ Green's eyes are noticeably inhuman, possessing slit pupils and an obvious corona of blue-to-green discoloration extending from the edge of the iris outwards.POINTED EARS: JJ Green possesses pointed ears. These are noticeable at close range but can be hidden (or simply missed by less observant onlookers).PSEUDOSCALES: JJ Green possesses scaly markings on his hands, his joints, and in the vicinity of his collarbone. These features are easily hidden by basic clothing.THE M: There is a small M branded into the flesh atop JJ Green's left shoulder blade.

>>27353856I'm assuming it was something like this.
Rolled 17>>27353915So SO much less fun. It was more like Dr. Rockzo coming down from coke. It was straight hell. Having your friends call you everything but a decent person was pretty shit. They eventually got it together. That was the worst it ever got. Friendship was never the same after that though. We still don't talk.
>>27353792concurred. It's kind of the whole point of playing a stealth character.
>>27353835Can we fry bacon why electrotouch?
>>27353915You know, Rockszo is pretty fat for a cokehead
Rolled 6>>27353956Eyo, coke heads can be fat as fuck.
>>27353951Not yet, but on 3rd level we can fry people, 2nd level was lethal voltage I think.
>>27353956I assumed his liver was a bit inflamed. Well, what was left of it anyway.
I doubt we'll get an X point though if we didn't actually use our powers.
Hey guys. So I had a really dumb idea of how to help Nori apstart training her powers. We "acquire" a circuit breaker panel with each breaker being tuned to a different voltage/resistance whatever (clearly this is out of my area of expertise). Then we have her try running power through the various circuits without tripping the breaker or just barely punching enough to trip them on command. Dumb way to do it, but it's a starting point right?
>>27353835Healing Factor Lvl 1 is insanely good just for everyday life. Pulled muscles that take weeks to heal for an ordinary person just take a day to heal. Broken bones, a week. Does this mean if we weight train we recover and grow stronger faster? And from the meta power chameleon perspective it works as copy/resistance to both Laura and Kevin like electrotouch is a copy to Noriko and resistance to being fried. So far for this go, I think we should go Phasing.
>>27354033don't worry, I'm sure the meeting with Creeper will go downhill fast
>>27354033True. That said, not every thread will have us scrambling to not die. Of course if we meet the Creeper this thread...
>>27354044That's actually pretty smart.
Rolled 2>>27354044That's...brilliant. It teaches plenty of control. Start with some bigger ones, down to some really really small ones for fine control. We'll eventually use it due to shocking touch as well. Good investment.
(PART 1)>[X] Ask how long she’s been on the drug.>[X] Tell her what she can expect from withdrawal.>[X] Ask if her powers were acting normally yesterday or if she just had a bad trip. You sit down beside her as she wrestles the blanket over her shoulders.“How long have you been on Jack?” “About…” She grimaces and pulls the blanket tighter, her teeth chattering a little. “About as long as I’ve been in the city. So a while.” That doesn’t sound good. You don’t push the matter further, but you’re definitely not going anywhere for now. Jack withdrawal can be utterly brutal – not just physically, but psychologically. Probably the most overlooked aspect of the drug is the mundane one. Strip away all the mutant crap and it’s an incredibly potent feelgood drug. It makes you feel like things are okay, and they’re gonna keep being okay. It makes you feel warm, wanted, loved. Safe. And suddenly not feeling any of that anymore… it can be pretty rough. “You know what to expect from this?” “Sort of.” She answers. “I know there are shakes, and vomiting.” “Yeah, the shakes are gonna last a while.” She deserves to at least know what’s happening to her. You kind of built her up as some irresponsible brat in your head, but she seems like an alright person. “You’re past the first wave of vomiting, but there’s gonna be more, eventually. You’ll start feeling tired and itchy, especially around the eyes… and then the very last of the effects will wear off, and you’ll feel terrible. I can’t speak from experience, but from what I’ve been told, it’s sort of like this… big, black hole opens up in your chest, and for a while you can’t feel anything but all the bad stuff the drug’s been keeping away.” You glance over at her. She’s trying to grit her teeth, but her eyes are terrified. “It’ll pass, though.”
>>27354088Not really, I'm pretty sure she'll melt the breaker on her first few tries, but I can think of many other hobo friendlyish starting points. Kevin has me completely stump sped by the way. I can only think of ways to make him generally more lethal, not in control.
(PART 2)You decide to move the conversation on a bit. No point in lingering on all the horrible shit that’s about to happen to her. There’s something you’ve been wondering since yesterday, anyhow. “Noriko… when you… overloaded back there… is that something that just happens? Or was that the Jack?” Her thin veneer of grit gives way to a haunted, tired expression. “It’s why I needed the Jack.” She’s speaking softly now, as if it’s something to be ashamed of. “I just… suck up the static from everything. It builds and builds and builds… and eventually I can’t even aim it anymore.” >[ ] “Have you tried grounding yourself or something?” >[ ] “Do you have any idea how to control your powers?” >[ ] “You need a coke or something? You’re sweating quite a bit, and your mouth probably tastes like ass right now.”>[ ] Write in.

Rolled 9>>27354116They make some pretty damn hefty breakers man.>>27354124Coke wouldn't be good. If she's sweating she needs water. Or gatorade. Some kinda bullshit to rehydrate her. Coke would work to the opposite effect.Seriously though. Water. Lots of water. It will dilute the stomach acid. Be easier on her teeth. Also help with the taste. No food besides saltine crackers. She'll just puke it up anyway. Also don't let her go through dry heaves. The crackers will help with that. Also put ice on the back of her neck. It can help control some of the muscle spasms. Keep her from going into an endless cycle of heaving. Seriously though. Do that shit. It makes it so much easier on em.
>>27354170do we have drinking water?
>>27353829Touch powers don't work while you're phased. >>27353801Scales get pretty hard. They're never truly ridiculous like Colossustier, as is this LIGHT armour for agile characters we're talking about here, but they're pretty good at mitigating blunt tauma, turning aside cutting weapons, reducing the damage dealt by small arms, etc. Of course, trying to weather a HMG or a punch from the Hulk is a bad idea.>>27353951With enough time you could, but you might find it hard to keep it going that long. You essentially have a police grade tasier in your palms right now. It gets way more lethal as you level it up.
>>27354170Ok, what this guys says.
>>27354124>[X] Have you tried grounding yourself or something? There's plenty of cabling in the city, plenty of conductors where to discharge.
Rolled 12>>27354193Drinkin water ain't hard to get in a city. Bottled water. Water from restaurants. Cleaning water isn't too hard either. For real though, no soda. It's the last thing she needs. Why am I going into such detail over a fictional character? Holy shit what have you done to me /tg/?
>>27354124>"I'm guessing you've tried grounding yourself? You know, periodically discharging into the faucet or something?"Do we actually have anything to offer her to drink? If so we should. Also, before we leave we also have to talk to Kevin about the drugs, just get a timeline for his use and give him some pointers on what Nori needs in terms of support and what will hinder her recovery.
>>27354116You know we don't actually need breakers or anything. The important part is not the exact voltage just the controle part. Give her some different wires and get her to make them glow without melting. Hoboscience

>>27354170Never been in any situation resembling Nori's, but saltine crackers are my go to for nausea so I'm seconding that (even if it means spending $5 on a jumbo box) in addition to the water.
>>27354243I still like the breaker idea though. That click it'd make when it'd flip would make you wanna try harder. Leading to a negative style of mind that you'd have to sort through before you could do it. Then she'd just have to do it in the real world!
Rolled 16 + 3>>27354167>[ ] “You need a coke or something? You’re sweating quite a bit, and your mouth probably tastes like ass right now.”This but with water
>>27354170>>27354217I was actually about to say the same thing. Water and salty shit. Get them minerals and hydration back in there. Why was I born with such a weak digestive system.
Rolled 15>>27354277Yeah, they're easy enough to keep down. The ice trick I learned from a drinking buddy of mine. Got hammered one night all kinds of mad. Milk and booze don't mix that well.
>>27354264This should totally be our mutant name by the way.
>>27354243Yeah, but given that she isn't heat proof I'm not sure I want her burning herself with melted copper. That's kind of why I was suggesting the breaker to begin with. We could just wrap the wires around some stainless steel silverware though. Well, we'll see.
Rolled 12>>27354277Holy shit a jumbo box costs you 5 bucks? We can get em here for a dollar. Damn. Ice shouldn't be too hard to get. Water will be easy enough. One hangover helper coming up.

>[X] “Have you tried grounding yourself or something?” >[X] “Do you have any idea how to control your powers?” >[X] “You need a drink or something?"“Have you tried… have you tried…” You strain to summon all your middle school science to the forefront of your brain. God, it’s been so long. “…grounding yourself, or something?” She nods shakily. “Yeah. I mean, I had a go. But I went through metal so quickly. It’d just blast apart or melt.” “You got any idea how to control your powers?” “A little.” She unfastens one of her hands, and you notice visible bruises where she’s been digging into her arms. A bright arc of focused electricity dances between her fingers, and leap out to etch a tiny scar across the tiled walls. “I can sort of… push it in a direction. When there’s too much power stored it’s hard to throw it in small amounts, though. It’s like… opening a door during a storm. That can be messy.” “Messier than this?” She motions makes a sweeping motion with her arms, as if to indicate her entire sopping, shivering self. “Much.” >[ ] Ask why she’s here. For a second you think she might be about to spew intestinal fluid all over the floor, but she just cups her head in her palms, still smiling grimly. “My dad didn’t really approve of the mutant thing.” Right, yeah. You should really count yourself lucky that your own parents were the supportive type when it came to this stuff. Of course, they never really got to figuring out that you were a mutant… but they would’ve been cool. You’re certain of it. “He couldn’t deal with it. He wanted to try all this weird medical shit. My mother probably misses me, I think… but I doubt he’d let me come home even if I wanted to, now.” “Sorry.” “Nah, it’s… it’s nothing now.” Right. “So, how’d you meet Kevin? You guys bump into each other at Hot Topic or something?” “Hah.” She leans back and grins slightly. “We met at the border. Still, scintillating as the young lady is, you’re not really all too comfortable with the idea of dropping everything in her lap. She probably doesn’t want most of it there, anyhow. You’re not even sure how much of it you want.“You’re right, I’m not from around here. I grew up in Michigan.” You remember the roar of waves. Dunes, shifting. >>27355606Oh, whew. 616 Cap's a good dude. Are you going to involve any of the marvel movie continuity, or just basing straight off 616/etc? because if we're going off comics, then we totes need to find a way to buddybuddy with Stark and get that Extremis injection.

>>27355555So no one has an idea?Okay i will post mine for the MC.To Ghost all the way to the bugle go and leaving work.To train with surge on her electricity. To ask Laura on how to make better uses of your senses. To help Kevin with his control on powers using Laura and our healing powers so he doesn't hurt us permanently.
>>27355606>maybe meet Cap soonThere's only one reason I can think of for this. Well, two, but I don't think NYC is due for a mini apocalypse right before this Christmas. Remind me, the premise of Target X is that Cap tracked Laura down and is giving her a trumped up "trial" with Murdoc as her lawyer, right? Or am I thinking of another one?
>>27355632Mostly 616.Peter is Ultimate Peter because Ultimate Peter was the most based motherfucker this side of Attilan. His family and friends are mostly their Ultimate versions too.Tony has Extremis by now. He doesn't exactly hand it out like candy, though.
>>27355555A board with circuit breaker would work for training our electro touch. Healing factor is something you probably can't train.Enhanced senses, I suppose you could try playing hide and seek. Invisibility you could probably train by using it to train the perception of our companions.

Hey, just want to say I love the quest. Quick question, this is in the Earth 616 reality up to this point, right? Can you give us a basic run down of events leading up to now? Like, caps involvement in WWII and how much that changed, the avengers initiative, any public knowledge of shield, etc?
