>Character selected: Niklas Bylund!
>Pastebin updated!

You are Niklas Bylund!
And...something is very wrong.
This wasn't how the trip through the Gate was supposed to go. You know this for a fact.
...well, you assumed it wasn't.
You're obviously paying the price for assuming things now.

When the Gate opened, it was one of the most beautiful things you had ever seen. All gold and white letters, swirling around eachother in a vortex of data.
Now, there are flashing red lights whizzing by you as you rocket through cyberspace at breakneck speeds, unable to properly move, let alone control your flight in any capacity.
Beside you, you catch occasional glimpses of your partner and friend as they tumble along with you, all heading to the same point further down- ahead? Up?
You can't figure out which way you're even oriented, and you doubt it even matters.

The lights, still flashing red, begin to get brighter and brighter, growing in intensity as they zoom by almost noiselessly- almost. You can make out a faint beep as they pass you, and for some reason, you get the distinct impression that they're some sort of checkpoint, since you can barely see them wink out after you as you pass.

Then, suddenly, one of the lights changes to blue, and the whole space around you lights up as you fly, leading to a bright opening that's steadily growing closer...

You brace yourself for...something, as you fly directly into the light, and suddenly you can control your arms again wow- HOLY SHIT YOU'RE IN THE SKY OH FUCK OH FUCK-

You throw your arms out to do something, anything, despite the vast amounts of nothing it would do at this point other than slow you to slightly-less-Terminal-with-a-capital-T Velocity...

And...catch yourself? The wind suddenly leaves your lungs as something solid and unyielding strikes your chest, but you don't move at all-

Looking down a bit more, you realize that you've landed on a cliff, face-down.
And you're hanging over the edge, looking out across what you can only assume is the digital world.

....you didn't expect the Digital world to look like THAT, though.

Pulling yourself up shakily, you move back from the lip of the cliff, and look around you.

There, a bit behind and to your left, is Daniil, dusting himself off and looking rather annoyed with the situation. Impmon, his partner, is standing beside him, grumbling to himself lowly. You can't hear what's being said, but then again, you might not want to.

And there, to your right, is your own partner, Kokuwomon. The big lug's sunk into the ground a bit, but aside from the dust coating about half of him, he appears to be fine. Noticing your stare, he waves with one of his four arms while the rest busy themselves with excavating his blocky feet.

Kokowumon is nothing like Daniil's partner; for one thing, you're not even sure your digimon is organic. He resembles what one might imagine if a beatle and stun gun had a one-night-stand, complete with arcs of electricity occasionally jumping between his "horns," and a pair of sparkplugs on his lower arms, while his larger ones evoke the image of a scorpion or crab's claw. He's a great friend, though, so you don't let his appearence bother you, despite your fear of insects.

You remember how small he was when you first met him, and how he got to be this...big...and...metallic.
Best NOT to think about it, actually.
IT might happen again if you do.

You turn your attention to the only other human present, and your friend gives you a nod. He's more or less okay, then. That's a relief.
...now that you think about it, you don't seem that injured, either. After a fall at that speed for that long, you really expected worse. Huh.

Oh, if only you had thought further ahead!
You only have your backpack with you, and only some food and water, binoculars, a change of clothes, and a first aid kit inside!

This was certainly not what you expected when your partner told you that you had to go to his world. But then again, with your luck, you really should have expected this.

Thankfully, Daniil should have some more useful things in his pack-
You hope.

>>27351215
You have no earthly idea what Kokuwamon could become in the future, and neither does he. Frankly the idea of him becoming even bigger still frightens you a bit. Best you don't think about it too much, maybe.

>[]Discuss what to do next, while keeping an eye out for anything hostile
This you can do! It's what you're good at, actually.

You back away from the edge some more, coming to a stop beside your much taller human friend and his diminutive partner.

"S-so," You begin, before taking a calming breath and attempting to ease your hammering pulse. "Any idea what we have to do next?"

Daniil shakes his head to the negative, folding his arms and sighing.

"Nyet. Rogers had no real idea beyond what we had, and his friend was in the same boat from what I heard of them." He hums to himself, before fishing his black and blue Digivice and opening it. He stares between the screen and your surroundings for a couple of seconds, before tilting the phone-like device so you can clearly see as well.

The screen appears to have been filled with a single mass of gray, with the exception of two points- a single circle toward the bottom, and a strange, bent line from the side to the center.

It appears to be a map of some point- a map someone's taken some effort to fill in, if only slightly. If you had to guess, it's probably the two Daniil met while patrolling the school yesterday.

Meanwhile, you cast your gaze about, looking for anything that might be hostile or out of place...

For a split second, a blur of motion catches your eye, but before you can properly focus on it, it's gone.

"According to this," Daniil is saying, "We landed pretty far from Rogers..." He trails off when he notices you've stopped looking at the Digivice, and follows your gaze out to the wasteland. "What is it, Niklas? Is something wrong?" He asks, caution bleeding into his voice.

You continue to stare out at the expanse, eyes flicking from one place to another in an attempt to get another glimpse of whatever it is you saw.

When you don't find anything further, you tear your gaze away, looking back up to your friend, who's now on guard judging by the tenseness of his arms and back. Impmon is mirroring his posture, trying to see whatever it was you saw, but failing as much as you did.

Your own partner trundles over to where you're gathered, shaking dirt off of himself and sending a concerned glance in your direction. Kokuwamon doesn't speak often, but that doesn't stop him from expressing himself in other ways.

>[x] I saw...SOMETHING...

You shake your head, still trying to see something, anything, but find nothing instead.

"I'm not...I'm not sure what it was," You confess, "but I saw something move out there." That instantly has the digimons' attention; both of them whirl about, trying to pick up on what it was you saw.
Daniil, meanwhile, merely bends his neck to the side once, a small 'pop' following. Good, that's his sign that he's ready for a fight. You've seen him do this many times, and each time, he's seemed like less and less of a fair target to whomever he's fighting.

>>
>>27353028
...Fuck.
Well we also can't stay here, either, so...
[X] Slowly get away from here - have everyone watch each other's backs, and keep a lookout for hostiles.

Best I can come up with, given we don't really have any flying digimon.
>>
>>27353096
Yeah slowly leaving is a good idea.

Probably a good idea not to hang out near cliffs where we're easy to corner.
>>
Have everyone pick a direction to keep watch in and start shuffling down the slope
>>
You know, this is quite interesting - at the start of most Digimon things, the humans all end up together and ends up splitting apart sometime in the middle of the story.
Here, however, we end up split apart, and will likely try to join up together.
I like that, gives this a sub-goal for us.
>>
>>27353138
Don't forget up and down are things as well with Digimon.
>>
You know, when Impmon gets to be his badass biker/flying self, we'll be doing quite well.
I mean, obviously it'll be a while, but this group has potential.

...Still a little worried that Kuwamon is a Child Digimon - it seems Wayne and Zoe is the strongest group of partners trying to get things fixed.
>>
>>27353187
If we'd rolled better on Perception, we likely could've found out more about what we were going to be fighting.
>>
>>27353187
In this situation since we saw him dash across our vision we have a chance that he can't fly other wise wouldn't he just watch us from above?

I hope I'm not giving Gale ideas
>>
>>27353212
Thinking about it, this is likely to be a good opportunity for this group to get an Adult digimon available.
>>
>>27353244
Yeah, whatever is watching us shouldn't come from the sky.
...Though let's be a little careful about that, anyway - it doesn't cost much to keep an eye on the sky while heading down.
>>
So we can all agree to head down to try and leave the place (given that otherwise we might get pinned down on the cliff, which is a bad thing)?
>>
So, Impmon and Kokuwamon - these'll be the main fighters in our group.
Which means we need to be ready to think up plans for when we get into fights, preferably plans that involve both of them getting an advantage for fights.
>>
>>27353212

You manage to grab Daniil's attention, motioning towards the bottom of the slope.
"W-we might be safer down there," You suggest, and after thinking it through a bit, he nods.

"Right, then." He hefts his pack, which does look quite a bit heavier than yours, and motions for Impmon to follow, while Kokuwamon's already picked up on the plan, and has started heading down.

...QuietTHERE!

You spot something moving out of the corner of your eye from your spot in the formation, and quickly whirl to face it, startling and alerting your companions as you do so.

There, to your left-

...what the hell is that?

"...Chto za huy?" Daniil curses, and you repress the urge to sigh, knowing that his partner's already memorizing the new word. He'll be gleefully testing that one out later. You just know it.

The creature before you is...well, it looks like a goblin or orc from some video game.
It's got a bulbous head, and protruding fangs, and what appears to be a bright red mohawk on its crown. Clad in what appear to be leathers and furs, and carrying a nasty-looking bat (with fucking nails in it, too), the creature's the picture of unruly mischief and the mean-spirited grin on its big face doesn't seem to do anything to dissuade that impression.

What the fuck indeed.

Impmon growls and his clawed hands flex, while you can hear the telltale whine and crackle of Kokuwamon's claws and horns powering up clearly. They're ready for a fight.

>>27355420
Daniil's actions are reckless I mean.

Not that the option of stopping Daniil and Impmon is the most reckless one.
>>
>>27355075
This isn't right.

Daniil's never been this impulsive, not that you can remember. He's never made the first move. He just doesn't do that.
Something's wrong.

You send Kokuwamon a pleading look, and the beetle picks up on it quickly, opening his metal wings and propelling himself forwards with a short burst of flame. His flight takes him right to Impmon- the purple digimon doesn't see it coming, and only when your partner's claws close over his arms and lift him into the air does he notice what's going on.

Meanwhile, you've broken into a run toward Daniil, who's now ducking and dodging through swings of the Goblin-thing's club.It finally decided to fight back, it appears, and it's not doing such a bad job of it, either.

But Daniil's got experience fighting people with weapons, and you can see the confidence in his face as he bobs and weaves, waiting for the right moment to strike-

That never comes.

You grab onto the fist he was about to let loose, and Kokuwamon intercepts the next blow from the goblin, his hard exoskeleton barely even scuffed by the hit.

Daniil looks down at you, surprise evident in his expression.

"...Niklas?"

What's the deal with this guy?

Is he yet another god figure in the Digital World?

Also have you seen Bacchusmon yet?
>>
>>27356055
Shakamon's complicated.
He's rumored to be on the level with Yggdrasil, or the closest thing to it, but the truth is, Yggdrasil's really hard to rank.

Like, really hard.

All of the avatars could be, but Yggdrasil is both the entity in charge of the Digital World, and the Digital World itself.

It's like trying to assign a number to a god that's simultaneously a person and the earth itself.

That being said, Shakamon's as AWOL as Alphamon, and nobody's seen hide nor hair of it in the digital equivalent of a hundred years.

Yes, he's considered a god-like being, but I say "god-like" because nobody fucking understands him.

He's got more power than any other "God" Digimon, but he only uses the barest minimum of it ever, and even then, he only tries to bring enlightenment to Digimon, nothing else.

As far as anyone, ever, knows, there's only been one of him. There's never been any other digimon to reach that level, and it's even been suggested he never was any level BUT Shakamon.

tl;dr: Shakamon's fucking weird and nobody gets him.

>Also have you seen Bacchusmon yet?
I'm not too happy about Bacchusmon.

I never said no connection, but for this canon, Shakamon's been Shakamon as far back as anyone can possibly remember.

There's a specific legend that names him as the first Digimon, and the only one to ever lay eyes upon Yggdrasil's truest form.

But these are only stories, with no possible basis in reality.

Also, Sanzomon and her entourage may possibly make an appearance at some point.
They've been wandering the Digital World, attempting to find some sort of explanation for the Dead Zones, but with no cause in sight, even they may lose hope soon...

>>27356557
I'm a pretty big fan of both Ceresmon's forms, and Medium is actually visible on the giant form's forehead, so it's not like it's a retcon.

Also, Jupiter's hammerhands are actually separate weapons with handles.

>>
>>27356718
I think just one more.

Is it possible for Perfect or even Adult level Digimon to be Unique, or is that exclusive to Ultimate level?
>>
>>27356754
Oh, it's certainly possible, but incredibly rare.

Though "unique" could be interpreted many ways.

For example, Sally's infodump back when she turned into a Witchmon:
She's not the only witchmon in existence, but she's the only one who could ever be SALLY.
So when speaking about her personality, or perhaps her "soul," she is unique.

But speaking about Digimon of which there are only one?
It's possible, and has happened, but mostly it's chalked up to urban myths and bored digimon making things up.
>>

>Though "unique" could be interpreted many ways.

So what's taking them so long to reveal Junomon?

She's all that's left, since they probably won't be showing Vestamon.
>>
>>27357361
not even I can answer that.

But I do eagerly await the reveal.

the lack of Juno and Vestmon are a small part of why Wayne and Zoe's trip on the stairs took so long. Eventually, I'll just have to say "fuck it" and do it without them, but this new segment may help with that.
>>
>>27357428
Well Vestamon never really does shit. That's why she's seen as so nice.

And you could play around with how hopeless everything seems, that Junomon would finally say enough is enough and ditch Olympus.

Also I forget, have you explained what exactly it means to be Vaccine, Virus, or Data types?
>>
>>27357536
Or she could just be sulking in her room or something.

That's probably easier.
>>
>>27357536
I could, but plans do change, so if I thought of something I could use them for, I'd like to have not written them out from the start.

>Vaccine, Virus, or Data
This both a combination of canon material and my own headcanon, but both can agree that it's what the Digimon originated from.
Vaccine is the digimon Tron: a program meant to defend and protect, typically. Sometimes they're meant to repair damage, or recover lost information, but in the end, they deal with "preventing/repairing damage."

Virus are Digimon that were originally either viruses or malign glitches, and as such "do damage to their environment or other programs." More or less straightforward in the beginning.

Data Digimon were just that; data. They were the information that was process, clumped together, filed into one package, etc.

But being Digimon, they're obviously different from what the three categories once were. They've evolved, as all things do, and the classes they fit into have changed with them, even if only slightly. Digimon also can belong to different categories than they should at first glance due to evolution lines or things as simple as personality.

Now, there is USUALLY a RPS-like advantage/disadvantage at play, but with everything gone to hell, who can tell anymore?

I reserve the right to retcon most of the things I say here if something better comes to mind later, but I probably won't do it often.
>>
>>27357768
So you going to be using elements of XROS Wars?

Because when it comes to fucking the traditional system, they went hardcore.
>>
>>27357842
I actually am pulling mainly from the first three series, and only slightly from Savers and XROS.

And nothing fucked the system like Frontier.
When you don't have digimon partners, it's not really digimon anymore. That was more Power Rangers/Kamen Rider.
And Tamers did Kamen Rider better.

But anyway, maybe, maybe not.
Certain things will be in this, certain things won't.

For example, Your Digivice is not an X-loader.
Digimon is not Pokemon.
If you want more Digimon at your side, get used to traveling in a group.
>>
>>27357979

Is the D-Brigade a thing in this Digiworld?
>>
>>27358246

>>
>>27358407
Do the digimon types like Virus Busters, Nature Spirits, Nightmare Soldiers have any real relevance?
>>
>>27358540
More than you might think.

Consider Aslan and Sally, and their early interactions after digivolving.

Now, just WHAT was he upset about?
>>
>>27358607
I guess both of them started off as Nature Spirits, but Sally later became a Nightmare Soldier?

Does that mean there's an actual Nightmare Army?
>>
>>27358705
Actually, it was more to the effect that he recognized Salamon/Plotmon as a holy digimon, which he then became later on, while she became an obviously UNholy digimon. It was more like she betrayed his expectations of what they were supposed to be, when he believed they were all destined to be holy warriors of justice.

Sally's still on the side of justice so far, but without the gold rings....

The Nightmare Army might be a thing, but digimon don't join just because they're classified as nightmare soldiers. Sally is a Nightmare Soldier, and is Wayne's partner, as mandated by at least one kind of god, so digimon don't HAVE to be part of a group of their own kind.

That being said, groups like the Nightmare Army only recruit from their kind with the exceptions of Digimon who are too valuable to not take in.
>>
>>27358851
I thought Witchmon is more amoral than anything else?

Like she's certainly not holy anymore, but isn't specifically infernal. Not yet at least.

>>27358926
No, but he could recognize something dark and Not-holy, and she DID lose the ring that marks all the holy digimon.

And while she's not quite demonic yet, both Aslan and the Sovereigns have mentioned her being "unholy" and "Tainted."

What this actually means, I leave to you to find out.

besides that point, going from "Holy warrior" to "decidedly not-holy-at-all" isn't an improvement to most in the first place.

>>27358968
Witchelny is an alternate reality of the Digital World. Not much is actually known about it, except that it's the origin of magic, which is used instead of data-manipulation like digimon in "our" universe use. Witchmon originates from there, as does Wizardmon. Since any wizardmon ever dies, we haven't learned very much about it.

And Medieval Dukemon is what happens when you put too much concentrated BADASS in one place.

You know the Royal Knights? How their whole unit was put together to defend Yggdrasil?

Medieval Dukemon does it all by himself.

And he succeeds.

Though, actually, to be more accurate:

He doesn't so much do it alone, as he's what you'd get if Alphamon fought on the front lines.
He leads a legion of wind-based warriors, but is a proactive leader than the Royal Knights have, to the point where he'd probably fight by himself rather than have his own knights do anything.
>>
>>27359067
>Witchmon originates from there, as does Wizardmon. Since any wizardmon ever dies, we haven't learned very much about it.

How does that work in the context of dozens of Child digimon have the potential to become Wizarmon and/or Witchmon? Was there a Wizarmon and Witchmon Prime who originated in Witchelny, and their templates somehow became an established part of the digital world?

Does Sally have "memories" of Witchelny now and an instinctive rivalry with Wizarmon?
>>
>>27359107
So it seems as if he certainly hasn't fallen into despair or corruption.
>>
>>27359114
I'm going with the idea that there was a Wizard and Witchmon prime, and through them, the data required to become digimon like them was distributed through the many death and rebirth cycles that have occurred since then.

>Does Sally have "memories" of Witchelny now and an instinctive rivalry with Wizarmon?
If she has "memories" of witchelny remains to be seen, but she WILL have an urge to upstage and outmagic any wizardmon she sees, much like how Aslan's instinctive attack ont he Ohremon, even at the expense of leaving Zoe unprotected. Lion and Ogre Digimon just do not mix, no matter which evolution tree it is.

>>27359126

>>
>>27359179
Medieval Dukemon wouldn't leave Witchelny for any reason. He's that damned dedicated.

>>
>>27359260

>>27359228
>Attack On Ogremon
what have I done
>>
>>27359290
>Anyway, I meant "they" as in "the universe in which Witchelny is the digital world."

Yeah I know, I was just saying that it's very unlikely that the Digimon franchise will ever give much of any focus to Witchelny, especially the implication that it's connected to another Earth equivalent, only full of magic.

Also, is it impossible for one of the Ten Ancient Warriors to exist in modern times, or just very unlikely?
>>
>>27359346
Ah yes, now I'm the one who misunderstood.

Well, think of it this way: almost every digimon you see in any of the wikis does or has existed. However, the most powerful and prominent digimon existing all at once would be a problem. So, there are periods of time where some digimon may not be around for a few decades or so, before reemerging from a previously unassuming digimon while another group of exceptionally powerful digimon take their turn on the bench.

This isn't done voluntarily so much as it is a part of Yggdrasil's rules.

If the seven demon lords, olympus twelve, four sovereigns, royal knights, dark masters, ancient warriors, and so on and so forth ALL existed at the same time, it'd be far more chaos than the digital world could stand.

Meggidramon might even be called into play at that point, and that's something that could be considered a sign of an apocalypse.

This current era hasn't seen the Ten Warriors yet, hence why they're called "Ancient"- it's been a very long time since they've cycled in.

Much longer than it ought to have been, actually, but don't worry about that.

The same is actually true about the Demon Lords as well, though their last reign wasn't as long ago as the Ten Warriors.
>>
>>27359441
>four sovereigns
You mean they're not constants?

I thought they were partial embodiments of the land itself.

But that makes sense, since shit would get pretty confusing with that many powerful factions existing at once.
>>
>>27359475
They are constants, but they still are beings of immense proportions that take up space and power within the digital world's confines.

Basically, they're like that one unit in a game that you can't remove, that still does good work even in the later stages. However, it requires you to build your armies around them because you can't just take them out and swap in something new.
>>
>>27359517
Got it.

Also will we need to roll to identify the Olympus 12?

I'd think most of them would be easy to identify.

Mercurymon, Marsmon, and Bacchusmon seem like the only ones that would be tricky, possibly Minervamon as well.

One thing's been going through my mind, with the assumption that at least one of the other digidestined will get another Demon Lord.

There will come a time where people will think it will be a good idea to have the two Demon Lords DNA Digivolve, like War Greymon and Metal Garurumon did to form Omegamon.

Only we won't get Omegamon.
>>
>>27359441
...Huh.
So, basically, we're the ones who're going to bring the Demon Lords back?
This bunch of chosen, at least.

...I don't mind.
There are worse things than being the prince to the Queen of Lust.
And Beelze is actually quite a decent fellow, once you get to know him.
And Niklas, when he gets an evolution, is likely heading to Daemon or something.

I think that Aslan's job here is to be the light among the Demon Lords, to help their partners lead this to a good end.
Yggdrasil seems to make a point of having Leomon's as encouragement to others
>>
Bump, for when Gale comes back.

Also, I'll say this...I honestly hope Ogremon and Fugamon are alright.
>>
>>27361655
Not letting this thing die!
>>
>>27361501
>And Niklas, when he gets an evolution, is likely heading to Daemon or something.
He could also be like Aslan and end up going down the holy path into Craniummon.
>>
>>27362131
True.
Well, we'll have to see how this goes.
>>
>>27362131
That's much like how Sally has a potential to get to Ophanimon, though, I think?
There is, after all, a 'amin' evolution line for every partner here.
Only difference from Sally is that we don't know how it goes for the others.
>>
so when does Gale usually come on?
>>
Gale should come back soon, I think.
>>
A question for Gale when he returns;

On Niklas & Kokuwamon's stat sheet, Kokuwamon has a stat called [sync] that is 5/10.

Two points; One, what is the 'previous outburst' it mentions which caused a negative effect to the stat.
Two, What is the stat and why is Kokuwamon the only digimon to have that stat?
>>
>>27362318
Well, I thought that could be his "primary" line, rather than the Demon Lord path. It would be weird to have only one holy digimon partner, right?
I like the whole holy/unholy rivalry that got hinted back when Sally evolved and Aslan disliked her.
>>
>>27363822
Maybe the thing where they trashed the school fighting the ogre digimon?
>>
>>27363823
Hm, true.
We might be looking at "Great Demon Lord + holy fellow digimon" combo going here.
>>
bump
>>
So, this group has pretty crap Luck.
...Does this mean that, if we get high enough Luck, we can get a bonus on Luck rolls?
>>
>>27363823
It seems like it was less a holy/unholy rivalry, and more that Sally WAS holy, and then she stopped being that.

And figuring out evolutionary lines is hard, especially since Child digimon are just full of potential.

Like Aslan has the potential to become Beelzebumon, Demon, Leviamon, another Lilithmon, and who knows what else, if you're willing to reach far enough.
>>
>>27365739
She is confirmed to be "tainted", though.

I can't see Aslan not at least disliking unholy Digimon in general.
>>
>>27365739
I think we can safely cross out Lilithmon being part of this Aslan's evolution line.
That seems to be Sally's fate.
>>
>>27365873
Pretty much.

I'm just saying that Aslan has 11 potential Adult forms, over 50 potential Perfect forms, and I didn't even bother trying to see how many Ultimate ones.

Now obviously some seem more plausible than others, but it's hard to see just how many options there are.

>>27365985
Like Liollmon has the potential to become a boar, a centaur, a fish, a dragon, a fox, a lion-man, a lion, a Pegasus, this thing, a cyborg lizard soldier, and a wizard.

Odds are obviously good on the lion-man or lion, but who knows.
>>
>>27366050
I'm hoping for Leomon, myself.
Digimon just isn't Digimon if there's not one of those around.
>>
>>27366209

How could you be so cruel to Zoe Anon?

Why do you want her partner to die?
>>
Digimon are weird. This coming from a guy who loves the series.

Also does anyone know how many points we need for our digivolutions... and I missed how we got those points as well?
>>
>>27366236
No, no, see, we'll make sure he doesn't die in this.
It'll be the unique thing of this!
XROS had digimon armies, the third season had secret government agency, fifth had the chosen being ranking members of an agency, and this'll be ours.
>>
>>27366256
We don't know how we get points, sadly.
As for points...I don't think we have enough, just yet.
Believe me, if we did, I'd be all for getting LadyDevimon for our evolution when next we have a fight featuring Wayne's team.
>>
>>27366339

We can't Anon, there's having a unique thing and than there's digitradtion, Leoman always dies, I'm sorry.
>>
>>27366236
While Leomon and Wizarmon DO always die, that only pertains to when they remain in their current forms.

If Aslan can reach Perfect soon enough, he should be fine.
>>
>>27366384
So basically our goal is to gather as many points for Aslan as possible, so he can jump past his Leomon stage?
>>
>>27366384
>>27366400

This is a big risk Anons I like it
So Zoe needs to start hording points now.
>>
>>27366384
>SaberLeomon
>BanchoLeomon
>APOLLOMON

The curse is the lion.

No chance to survive, make your time.
>>
>>27366361
I'd rather have Aslan digivolve next. The little guy would be too far behind if he didn't.
>>
>>27366427
Definitely need to, yeah.
And, hell, it's not like we've got a choice here - I mean, this is Digimon Quest.
Of course there's going to be a Leomon here, and it seems reasonable for it to be Aslan.

If only we knew what it took to reach Perfect, point-wise...
>>
>>27366462
Apollomon is stretching it.

You're right on the first two counts though.
>>
>>27366557
But if he reaches Leomon stage with not enough points to immediately go to the next one...
Well things might go badly.
>>
>>27366462

Hooray, Gale's back!
>>
>>27367185
Of course - if they die right away, we wouldn't have time to get attached to them!
Which is why they become good friends, AND THEN they die.

Unless us saving those two from Ogremon and Fugamon means we've defied fate and they'll be fine?
>>
>>27367185
Well at least now we know what result would happen if Sally would end up going against a wizardmon.
(I bet we'd get like a +19 on the roll and have to roll a result of 20 to kill him)

Eh, I've been using both in the SSS thread.
My art's distinctive enough that I was recognized anyway the first time I posted.

I need to stop watching Garo and get back to Digimon now.
>>
>>27369354
Have you considered doing some art for Digimon Quest?
>>
>>27369420
I've done some stuff, mostly things for when I was deciding the kids' digimon partners. So...it'd be spoilers.

don't worry, you'll see it eventually, but until then I might have to create new stuff, yeah.

It's a SHAME I suck at landscapes, though, or I'd be drawing the digital world all day erry day.
>>
>>27369466

any art is better than no art...
I can't really draw for shit, but I try to contribute when a scene or description takes my fancy....

I'll give doing one of the kids a shot... don't hold your breath though....
>>
>>27369569
I like when there's art and such of a Quest - it seems to help activity even.
>>
>>27369466
>I've done some stuff, mostly things for when I was deciding the kids' digimon partners.
Ooh, that sounds great!
Definitely looking forward to that.

...Since it's a spoiler, does that mean evolved forms?
>>
>Dude what the fuck
"Daniil, what the hell are you doing?" You ask, and he looks back at his fist, frowning.

"...I-" He looks back at you, confusion all over his face. "I have no idea."

He takes a step back, looking down at his hand- specifically just that, for some reason- while Kokuwamon lands nearby, a struggling Impmon clasped tightly in his four arms in an almost comical parody of a submission hold.

How did a beatle learn a submission hold?

Meanwhile, the little green thing is watching you VERY warily, club still at the ready...

>[] Question Daniil some more

>[] this guy might bolt if we don't ask him what's going on now...

>[] surprise me

>>27369569
The kids' appearances are more or less nebulous, with the exception of basic descriptions
>Zoe's short, frail, and has short dark hair
>Wayne's about average height, and not un-handsome (high Charisma stat at work)
>Daniil's tall, has VERY short hair, and is well-built
Niklas is the only one so far you have yet to observe. Best not to ask him. He has confidence issues and will probably lie anyway.
Then there's the ones you HAVEN'T met....well....

anyway, I've tried drawing them before, and I'll see if I can't bring something in next week.
>>
>>27369642
there is literally only one I could show you at this point, and that's because it's Wayne and Sally.

There's one that'll probably never be seen coming, and I'm still eagerly awaiting the day I get to introduce them.

That's long-term stuff, though. Nevermnd it for now.
>>
>>27369644
>>[X] this guy might bolt if we don't ask him what's going on now...

Unless someone's got a better write in, we need to focus on the time-critical thing first, which is getting info from this digimon before he bolts/starts a fight.
>>
>>27369644
Oh boy, loose cannons, don't they always make things so interesting?
>>
>>27369668
I wouldn't mind seeing the one you could show us, if that'd be alright with you.
But, eh, if you want to wait, that's fine as well.
>>
>>27369684
Yep, pretty much.
>>
>>27369766
Eh, we'll deal with that later; for now, we need to display a united front, and get some questions out of the goblin.
>>
>>27369644
>this guy might bolt if we don't ask him what's going on now...

Maybe apologize for our friend, explain that we're new here, and then ask if he was following us?
>>
...Just because I'm curious, and we did have some time before we went into the digiworld (though not the same preparation that Wayne did)...how much food DO we have, Gale?
Digimon are notorious for eating a whole lot, to put it mildly.
>>
>>27369644

>[x] this guy might bolt if we don't ask him what's going on now...

Lets try to calm everyone down.

If he trys to bolt have our beetle buddy do another submission hold
>>
>>27369644
>[] this guy might bolt if we don't ask him what's going on now...

Particularly if we don't ask about the corruption. He may be the only one who lives this far inside of a dead zone.

I'm going to take a guess and say the dead zone is exactly why Daniil attacked
>>
>>27369857
...Huh.
Dead Zone encouraging the worst part of someone's character?
Shit, that could work.

Digimon eggs are just data - and encouraging the worst part would make them corrupted and possibly deleted.

also, as promised; one shitty sketch of current protag Niklas... spoilered to prevent accidental exposure to shitty 'art'
>>
So we seem to have some consensus of questioning the digimon (that is what the "this guy might bolt..." vote means, right?).

>>27369937
Pic's a little blurry...
But otherwise, seems like a good start.
>>
>>27369937
Not bad.
I've always pictured him as a sort of shaggy blonde, but that's a new take on him.
I like the coat.

Niklas is now wearing an overly big coat, because of reasons.
>>
>>27369857
After we've gotten info and started moving, we need to talk to our buddy here.
I do not like that he doesn't know why he started attacking, that sounds uncomfortably like someone - or something - manipulating him.

But, that has to happen after we question the digimon.
>>
>>27370088
We should probably talk to Impmon as well?
>>
>>27370104
Well, it's Impmon. He may have just done it because he thought it'd be funny.
>>
>>27370104
True...
We should have a group discussion - and it'd help Daniil not feel as if he was singled out, something that we know he doesn't like.
>>
>>27370234
>We have group therapy in the digital world

..I want to laugh at the idea but I think this actually happened in the show.
>>
>>27370014

Coat is duel purpose. Firstly, social insecurity is often releived by having something to hide behind/in, and great coats are good for that...
Second reason; I based him on Berwald Oxenstierna...
>>
>>27370244
Way dumber things happened in that show.

Remember the time they were stuck cooking for a ramen shop?
>>
>>27370244
Discussion, not therapy!
At least, that's how we should phrase it; going 'therapy' might make him feel as if there's something wrong with him.
And we don't want anything like that.
>>
>>27370336
I bet the third group, whoever they are, will end up stuck working in a shop until either Niklas and Daniil or Wayne and Zoe end up meeting up with them.
Because that'd be hilarious.
>>
>>27370508
That would be HILARIOUS, considering who they are...

So, we're going to try to diplomance the Goburimon?

I'll need some rolls for that, then.
A d20 for diplomacy and/or luck if you want to push it.

Just remember that unlike with Wayne, luck is a double-edged sword with Niklas and this group....
