Last time in Mutant Hivemind quest disaster struck when a mind control virus was released upon our people. They were all knocked unconscious for many years not even the Brood was spared in that regard. The only ones who escaped this curse were the Viroz. Who kept things running while our entire forces were crippled. Now however the Hivemind is once more awoken and greater then ever before. Will this be enough however is unknown has much has changed in the Marshes enemies are everywhere and allies are precious few.

Wranglers have started wrangling up ferals and set up some crude pins for them.
500 feral ghouls acquired

Scouts sent to the South East they didn't get very close before they stumbled on a zombie horde that was wondering around and had to beat a hasty retreat.

Swarm Vats under construction.

One thing I've wondered. Hows the tourism/entertainment industry in these parts?
I mean, for a good Romp bandits just go to rape a village of men women and children, don't even mention Reavers, but are there any bandit/slaver gladiator arena's that people pay to see/compete? Demolition derbies? Hell, does our big lavish Bawdyhouse stand out at all on the map?

Or is it nothing but war and species stick to themselves most of the time.

Defense Matrix is how it all comes together A.I. included.

Omega Class Bunker Network is the class of Bunker it is and uses. Which are amazingly good. Even a proper Bunker Buster is gonna have a hard time.

Quarantine Kill Release purges the facility and surrounding area. Or cotains it depending on how bad it is.

Detection System Network Experimental. Is a detection system designed to block and counter other detection systems that are snooping around. It is high grade enough that it is used in secret unethical research.

Scans on the Garrison indicate the majority of them have been mind wiped fodder. There isn't a order they wont obey thanks to the treatment they underwent officers would be only problem. Richard has in fact made an offer for them all. Apparently he is aching for some actual soldiers even if their vegetable like.

As for Lair conversion is only problematic if you don't want humans to have a problem; However it may activate certain security protocols during the conversion. It offers no bonus to research or have any production facilities other then a good storage of spare parts and ammo for repair/maintenance.

Clora and Claire went to check out the garrison in stasis. Heavily augmented that of which couldn't be made superior with biomods was removed for cybernetic replacement. They are VERY advanced user. Clora'Zel even detected mutagens circulating their system...super grade.

Claire cut one of them open and was amazed at what she found. Apparently we know WHY Richard wants them back so badly. These fuckers were built from the ground up by him with how its all interlaced and meshed so well. Hate to see what further upgrades would induce. Much less Richard finishing what he started.

Warning Lair conversion to half way has exhausted our resources we now empty.

One thing I've always wondered. What was the point of segretating heros from the hivemind on every single mission even if they don't ask for it?

Watch it be something like diamond or gamma radiation or some other insanely rare shit and this doesn't help us at all.

So we gain a second base and a ghoul base. We get a pop boost. We get some nice new tech. And we figure out nodes. This has been a good night.
>>
Rolled 14

>>27444819
You could actually take control and preset actions. Or you could check up on them you never did. Plus>>27444831 related.

There is a strange type of 'energy' that floats around undetectable by all excpet psionics and even they have to train to detect it nor can they control it. Nodes feed of this energy and convert it to something else. Usually something that feeds other crystals or changes it directly into psionic energy. That is a base crystals other variants can do the same thing with other things. As for what this energy is its entirely unknown it was a recently discovered phenomenon that research had only just began on.

As for what these crystals are...unknown they seem to collect what they need in strange seemingly impossible ways and grow. Even more interesting they will often actually help their new home. In strange ways I have reports of crystals feeding of energy to feed a reactor that was about to catastrophically collapse.

Event

A bandit force has delivered a message we are OFFICIALLY INVITED TO THE GRAND BANDIT GLORIES. Have no idea what that is but apparently its a great deal of fun. Apparently it takes place in Crater Crack Canyon.

In any case the Vile Bloods Bandits have arrived with Richard in tow. They apparently they are a bandit faction that sired from the 500 from bandits who had worked with us who weren't Glows Krew with both Warlord and Ravager training. They even picked up others who have worked with us before. Their powerful bandit force user. They have all been clearly augmented and have undergone some sort of strange military type training in addition to what they have endured before. Even more strange they are VERY friendly with our forces. Like...I weren't bandits suppose to dislike mutants especially our creepiness? Its like all that creepiness got turned into love...I think Wil might of rubbed off on them or something. I mean I never seen someone look a Vizen in the eye before and live...guess it is possible after all.

Vile Blood heroes

Ravager Jack(In a staring contest with a Vizen...he has yet to drop dead)

Madok the Doc(currently broing it up with the Viroz..who are most confused as most would avoid them like the plague they literally are)

Soldier Boy SunSon(currently visiting the Military Base)

Gal Cal the Gal(The best Gal with the biggest Cal)

Shadyz the Outcast(Mediating in the crystal Garden)
Richard meanwhile has a strange container with him and some equipment. He dragged Clora'Zel along stating he needs the mutagens purged before he gets to work.

acquired allies/forces the Vilebloods. They even brought resources to trade for mutagens. Apparently biotech and cybernetics only do so much. They even made sure to shanghai Clora for better mutation...or at least tried to anyway Richard beat them to the punch so their lounging around mostly until she shows up again.

Event

Rasa has RETURNED. With a ton of crystals no wait why are said crystals moving? WHAT MADNESS IS THIS.

Rasa has returned apparently way out in the wastes there an actual forest of crystals. Problem was no one could go there because the guardians would slaughter them no matter how well equipped the intruder. Not Rasa however he was allowed to enter there he stayed until he journey out with a new found knowledge of crystals. When he tried to leave however some the crystals started following him....he also acquired some new crystal types and techniques.

On the way home he encountered a force of EVE which is why he was running late. Where he was escorted to...way out in the blasted mountains on a fringe of the jungle he found EVEs Research Complex. There he found out what EVE knew about the crystals and acquired materials that assimilated well with them so you wouldn't have to use so many crystals in devices. Nice gal she is he can understand why EDE misses her so much.

25 Crystal Beings acquired.

Powerful psionic creature who are entirely reliant upon crystals. It is worth noting that having appearing many of the collapses in a pile of crystal dust or burrowed themselves. I am begining to figure out why they are so expensive user.

Actually, now that Richard is back, I want to ensure that we are prepared to creation Bio-Mechanical production facilities.

As is, if we build the designs we have already, is the addition of his borg-mech tech into a singular facility feasible?
>>
Rolled 88

>>27445729
I thought we began construction on whatever the basic-tier ones were called, but then we ran out of resources/got distracted. I wanted that continued.

Hey guys, we need to come up with some MONSTERS to grow in our brand-spanking new biofacilities.

Also, tell us about the symbionts that Richard+Clora developed please. How many do we have and can we produce them using our biofacilities and how much do they improve us and can they be further refined?
>>
Rolled 21

>>27445736
Well, Richard has been searching for them and a part of himself and last disaster time was simply pure bad luck.
This time he'll be ready with extra countermeasures and we'll be sure to put it in the hellhole.
>>
Rolled 13

>>27445743
The biofacilites aren't done yet.
Also >>27445740 is right we should make sure they can accomodate both Richard and Clora's work
>>
Rolled 18

>>27445736
Last time was purely an accident cause by a badroll. Nanites are not inherently dangerous when handled correctly.

Richard used to be made of Nanites and he was pracitcally immortal for a long time. In fact the reason he left was to search for nanites.
>>
>>27445711
"You guys wouldn't still happen to have that old rail layer and train combo would you? We just opened up a new extension and it seemed an easy way to connect our facilities."
>>
Rolled 13

>>27445780
You know that actually sounds like a good idea. Connecting our bases via armored train, to stop ambushes, and safely move heavy materials and people.
>>
Rolled 14

>>27445800

I'm not sure that's feasible...but I don't have a better idea so.

>>27445740
Would take time. A long time.

>>27445743
Symbionts produced enhances the bodies of users. Its still quite crude we got the basics though. We just have to research specializations for them.

>>27445761
Richard was never made purely of nanites. What he went searching for was a sample his old self thanks to its miraculous qualities for Biotech/cybernetic hybridization augmentation. He was rather a mixture of constantly morphing flesh thanks to rogue nanites flowing through his form constantly and insanely modifying things at will. He was formless and monstrous.

Now however his form has stabilized causing him to lose his greatest truly monstrous boon. He has however found the old samples of his former self and figured out how to use grow/use them. So he is quite satisfied once more. Rather his only complain is getting a hold of the MSA and his personal company.
>>27445780
That is the Bandit Mutant Caravan I am afraid user.
>>
Rolled 78

I think we need to look into Symbionts some more guys. If we're going to try to compete on a physical level with supermutants and SWH forces we'll need to improve.

Which means upgrading from only Bio to Bio+Borg isn't gonna be cost effective. Instead we'll have to revamp our designs now that he's returned.

And if they ever get a hand on the layer, feel free to tell us because we need roads and safe transport between our bases.
>>
Rolled 73

Absolutele which means >>27445850 now that richard is back we'll need to draw new plans for new facilities to better handle symbiots and borgs, since building pure biofaciliteis and upgrading them into biomech will take too long.

Crystal golems are a big unknown. They seem to react most strongly to psionics. Problem is unlike Tabula Rasa they don't seem to communicate even psionicly. Its gonna be tricky figuring out how they tic.

That new crystal-intergration tech is really complicated. The alloys used are something else. The tech integration is in strange ways. That isn't even included the crystals. Not to mention Lair Burk doesn't have mass production capabilities. Period.

Decent progess is made with Psionic railguns. Their rather bulky but we came up with several. Pure crystal(benefits the most from strong psionic user) and hybrid(benefits the least psionic batteries are recommended).

Mad SCIENCE.

Richard and Clora figured out the self replicating bio borg Spider Tanks. Only problem is its costly but that's about it. Now we just have to acquire new designs beyond the crude ones we are currently stuck with.

Hillbillies. . .or someone else?

Well EDE, it looks like Dice God Mayhem is finally over for you.
>>
>>27446397

Definitely the Hillbillies from the West, and creatures from the Jungle from the East. Looks like maybe She Who Hungers has extended her influence.

Do we have an ETA on their arrival? Are they headed towards us? Or do we need to scout first to know?
>>
>>27446405
>Definitely the Hillbillies from the West
It's very likely, but someone could be swooping in from the Megacity, heading south then sharp east for us.
>>
>>27446405
The creatures from the east should be buffeted by the new phase of the neverending Battle of 4 armies.
What we should worry about is them popping in through the tunnel ruins, but at least our immediate base is safe for now.
>>
>>27446422

The Jungle Beasts are an unknown quantity by and large, but we have a vague idea that they're like Deep Swamp monsters on crack. The zombie hives are to the east right? We can hope that those two get enmeshed.

Not sure what to do about the bandits, as they're mostly unknown too. They have vehicles, so they and the supermutants will be the fastest moving and mostly dangerous factions to deal with if they're coming for us.

>Not entirely convinced this isn't cover for SWH to move on some strategic objective

I'm worried about the Super Mutants. We still don't have anything we can use to knock out a Mobile Base...I guess we're going to be using the Egg Nest+ sooner than we expected.

>Not sure what to do about the bandits, as they're mostly unknown too. They have vehicles, so they and the supermutants will be the fastest moving and mostly dangerous factions to deal with if they're coming for us.
Here's hoping we impressed them so well with all our heroes, just as alexis alone was enough to impress the hillbillie nation, that we can count them in with us in this fight.
>>

hm think I am gonna call it quits for tonight anon. Feel free to discuss. As for the two armies. one is indeed the hillbillies and the other is a gigantic zombie horde.

Okay, one quick thing, would you add to the list of things for our heroes to do: Try to impress the Dreamer Marauders again. Or the mainfaction marauders. Whatever. Also, general intelligence on the political landscape out there between the bandit factions and the Guard and etc.
>>
Rolled 66

>>27446466
Ah don't forget to archive or vote ect.

Also the gigantic zombie hordes is moving as if its on crack. Something is odd about that one. Apparently the zombies in East Marsh are getting real desperate and commencing one final push. Its doubtful the ghouls lines will be able to hold even with the liberal use of nukes.
>>
>>27446481
I think winning the bandits and the bandit games are already very reasonable enough.
We might even get a good number of them to join the mind.
>>
>>27446464

Fuck, completely forgot about the Hillbillies. Alexis negotiated for peace with them, but that was years ago. The family we traded with could've been wiped out and now the rest of them are coming to punish us for impinging on honor or what-have-you. Fuck you OP, see how paranoid you have me?

I think we'll need to send envoys to the ghouls and tell them "Let's try and weather this massive shitstorm together." Then we can coordinate all of our forces.
>>
>>27446498
Then we shall have to come to the aid of our ghoulish allies.
If there wasn't a damn hive itself in our way.
>>
>>27446498
Do you think you could type up a key for the map you posted earlier real quick?

Also, when will the next thread be?
>>
>>27446511
Indeed. Helping the ghouls hold their front will be essential for our own survival.

Here's where we start to gain more friends!

We could give them physical support (perhaps the wheeled and tracked vehicles from our military base, but I don't really want to lose Memor crewing them), or we could mass-manufacture symbionts and distribute as many as possible to them.

That's probably a better option. We have a fair amount of military force to throw around now, but with the amount of stuff ranged against us we don't actually have any to spare. The symbionts would increase the ghouls' effectiveness significantly while not sacrificing any of our own.

Too bad we didn't get more time to develop our bioborg STs. They would've been nice to have in abundance. Although if the axiom of size-upgrade proportionality (1 unit in the category up from the former unit is equal [all else being equal] to roughly 100 of the smaller unit) holds true then:

Infantry>ST>SST>Massive>Gigga>Mobile Base>Mobile Fortress

So we'd need 100,000,000 STs to take down one of their Mobile Bases. (I think that law breaks down at some point)
>>
Fucking shit, you guys know that if we can just manage to tame the swamp and the jungle then it'll be smooth sailing from there right? We're one of the most dangerous places on Earth because of how high EDE rolled for threat-concentration, so if we can just manage to dominate this place everywhere else should be a walk in the park.
>>
>>27446594

>>27452148
I am afraid I don't have access to that user. At least Richards new labs anyway.

Vile blood base wise however they seemed to have form the classic quarantine/containment pattern. At the moment however they have only managed to acquire 3 bunkers and are working on taking on the 2 remainers on the surface. After that it is likely they will strike underground. Strangely I can't identify where Richard labs actually are. normally labs are in center of formation but considering how his lab is for some reason placed on the outskirts of even the defensive grid I can't really say.

>>
Rolled 55

>>27452243
Ghouls don't actually run the mining pit its actually the main base in the swamp for Glows Krew Raiders. They use it for fuel, trade and ghoul recruitment. As for trade easy enough though they use it mostly to acquire glowy materials, strange foods, and fuel.

As for mining...they use a ghoul workforce. Who last much longer then the slaves of old. As for mining resources there doubtful they may like you and will trade but beyond that their not willing to let go of such glowy place or its many resources.
>>
>>27452295
Not if we align ourselves with the bandit camps in the way for safe passage, as well as perhaps turning that zombie hive in the center into a ghoul colony and adding several more.

Besides the question wasn't asking for a complete takover/surrender, only that perhaps we can mine the spots they don't have the manpower to fill wile they still own the base.

>>27452307
Do we have anything of value they could want to trade? Certainly we have a noteworthy ghoul collection business going on.
Also, the question wasn't about letting go of their resources and base completley. Rather, they keep the base and the mines, but if a path can safely be opened up, if we send an armored convoy and asked to dig in the spots with our own ghouls and forces, in the places they aren't currently digging, and give them a share of what we collect, is such a thing feasible?

Assuming they are a problem and not a potential partner after the games.
We wouldn't have to clear them all if we get the ones we can use on our side, and thereby they stop being bandits and become Memor. If that were not true, we're gonna have to oust the Vile Bloods anyway.

>i forgot to add STRONK AS FUCK to that list of attributes
And Supermutants were just as tough, and the bandits ousted them

And this is all presuming the Hillbillies are gonna sucesful steamroll over the place. If we can garauntee they can start up colonies here and become a regular force in the swamp, then by all means I'm in for it, but as of now they are not.

And again, striking deals with other factions is not alliances nor does it piss of the hillbillies.
>>
>>27452605
Add to this we've never had any hillbilly factions join us, but we've had thousands of bandits become part of our forces over the years. We have bandits in our service right now, we're gonna have to kick them out as well?

>>
>>27452671
>how about we just sit back and watch?
If by sit back and watch you mean not get militarily involved in Bandit v Hillbilly affairs in any way whatsoever then yes.
But again, where can can strike a deal for safe passage, trade for economic goods, or anything else that benefits us then no, we need those.

>and if they are getting wiped out they will flock to us in droves to join us if only to save themselves

we dont need to, after the Games we will just tell them that a shipment is coming to us guarded by some ghouls. and that if they touch it they are dead. and that they dont want to deal with us and the hillybillys at the same time. and they dont want to fuck with the ghouls either, they are quite strong and no doubt have a large force at the pit
>>
>>27452778
That is unless that shipment is coming from bandits themselves as part of a trade agreement.
>>
>>27452778
>>27452847
As for the safe passage part, the issue was the dangers that lurk in between Base Vile Blood and ours if we plan to move things to and fro. If we can move economic convoys in through the saftey their bases, rather than walk around it and have to churn through the hordes of monsters on the way, then we should.
>>
Rolled 92

A non-interventionist policy between the bandits and the hillbillies is probably for the best right now, until we know more about the situation and can gain an advantage by intervening.

Anyway, the more pressing issues are the zombie horde and the supermutants. The ghouls stand between us and the zombies, but EDE has stated that they won't hold (bar tremendous luck) with the forces they have now. We can either send forces to support them, or we can supplement them some other way (I advise researching and mass-producing ghoul specific symbionts to distribute to them, that'd make them think "Whoa we'd be so much stronger with these guys!"

As for the supermutants...they have multiple mobile bases and we have trouble taking down larger swamp monsters. Fuck if I know how to deal with them, my best suggestion would be to grow stuff in the Egg Nest+ PRONTO.

>mass produce

not happening, the only mass production we have is flesh

Problme is there are zombies standing between us and those ghouls standing between the zombies

>>27453060
Bio-tech has the benefit of being part flesh and self replicable. In addition we actually are producing biotech factories (sacs, nests, ect.)
>>
Rolled 32

>>27453130
sacs and nests are purely flesh, they will allow us to create thing of the spawn, like brood kings. though i imagine that is the hellhole
>>
Rolled 10

>>27453175
Thinking the Hellhole produces merely brood king spawn.

In addition to fighting force with force (which are often rather bad at) we should also consider ways to take their fortresses down from the inside. Ways of sabotaging their machinery, and creating havoc on internal systems.

Once we build the hellhole, I'm hoping the Mechanical Infestation Seeds could play a part in that.

Flesh which can be symbiotically attached to tech for added benefit, as Richard has done for centuries.

>>27453205
so guys, how many arch brood kings do you want?
>>
>>27453252
I'd rather we develop something to take down a mobile fortress and birth that instead.
>>
Rolled 84

>>27453229
but you still need to manufacture the tech, and we have next to 0 tech manufacturing capabilities
>>
>>27453278
We don't.
But Richard does.

My point is, make sure to train your right as you do your left. Flesh and Tech in good measures each.

wat

i like that analogy
Psionics shall be our head
Tech shall be our left, Flesh shall be our right

Did you forget the corpse of old King Archie?
Besides, that guy was stronger than even Clora. He gave her the old brood of the Heart. Hope he's on our side when we give him life.

Let's not forget, we haven't even researched how to grow one.
>>
Rolled 11

>>27453396
he destroyed almost every single mobile fortress they had. and it has been like 6 months, that shit has been eaten or decayed
>>

Our legs are the enemies and allies we get to do our bidding, trading, propelling and driving us forward.

The hivemind is the heart of our people.
>>
>>27453418
I meant whatever Brood King we're going to birth is gonna be stronger than Clora (unless she's grown to be as strong as the heart).
Can Clora even create one herself?
>>
Rolled 2

>>27453444
it would need to be atleast an arch brood king to resist. and plus, Clora just recently got a bitchin upgrade. and Archie still was loyal to us even after he had control of himself

I'm not sure symbionts are bio-tech, or that it'd be hard to set up a production line specifically for them out of the bioprpduction facilities we have.

Those facilities are, by the way:

Small-mid, complicated creatures and large (relatively) basic creatures
>>
Rolled 4

>>27453396
They had one mobile fortress and several mobile bases, and he had shittons of fleshbeasts helping him. Quite a few only marginally less powerful then himself.
>>
Rolled 2

>>27453515
they came from Clora and Richard working together so it is likely

and we are gonna get them all, im just leaning hellhole next
>>
Rolled 95

>>27453594
marginaly less powerful than himself?

remember when EDE said that Archie make brood kings look like chumps? yeah

and they had many mobile fortresses, and many boom cities, and many mobile bases. they crushed the broodqueens forces.

remember when Archie said he only had a little time left? he was also dying when he did this
>>
>>27453629

Nitpick all you want, the Arch Brood King didn't win against the supermutants by himself. He had thousands and thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of significantly powerful brood helping him.

No, they had one Mobile Fortress and they were pushing it to get that working. Boom Cities are likely artillery-specialized mobile bases. They didn't crush the broodqueen's forces, they struggled to neutralize them and succeeded because Dualfists May he live forever had killed so many End Game-tier monsters in the Heart of the Swamps lair.

He wasn't dying, he just knew he was going to die soon defending Clora's sister.
